Welcome into tomorrow about the new apple processor compared with the intel processor and whether we should be looking toward moving to these new apple processor if we're going to purchase a new mac book or sticking with the intel processor grateful for your insight well llc. It's our pleasure. I hope we can help. If you already have a mac book there's no rush to move the majority of apple computers still run intel processors such as they are and they'll be supported for a long while now. If you're buying now then yes go for apple's processor over any stock of machines with intel processors still floating around. You'll get better battery life. A chip made for what apple has in mind for the future. Better native support for mobile apps on desktops for example. And you're guaranteed support from apple for a long while. Now keep in mind that mac books or premium computers and like most other premium computers. They last a long time. You might as well future-proof as much as you can in terms of ensuring compatibility with new features later iterations of the operating system if you're a more technical user read up on the software you use. We're not aware of any programs not working but some involved ones like dr required work arounds right now. For example docker is a special case since it's virtualization software and it'll be patch to support the new chips but it's probably a good idea to check whatever software you rely on especially if it's more closely tied into the hardware like virtualization. Software is so you're not dead in the water for a few weeks or stuck putting in place a work around while everything gets updated you hope. And we've said that since that hasn't been a very widespread issue. Yeah go for the new technology over the old one. If you're buying now if you an intel mac book now there's really no rush to move to apples and one chip your computer will continue to work just fine. Yeah hopefully. that's the case but again apple got smart and said enough with intel. Just doing their own thing. And it's better for them and you as a newer customer elsie. Then i increase my download and upload on the internet and now cameras will not work they do not receive anything at all. There's no signal and i'm trying to figure out what's going on about decided it may be the. Hda one cable did that and be a possibility. Well jim if both cameras are connected via independent hd m i. I'm sure that's what you meant. Hdmi cables then probably not. Are these cameras that you can check on your phone if you have a monitor that the camera plugs into directly than the odds of the cables being a problem is higher but if these are cameras that broadcast to your phone for example that it's more likely that some equipment from your new internet provider is the cause it may just be closed port somewhere that you need to open for the cameras to be able to speak to the world Before you buy any new cables it may be good to reach out to your new internet provider and ask if they've had issues with cameras and if so how you should resolve it. Some companies can control the the routers that they provide remotely so they may be able to open up the porch right for you. Yeah and asked him for that. Because depending on who you might get in a tech support scenario jim you might find out if somebody said if you ask someone. Hey can you do me a favor. Basically saying, Look, if you're already, uh, engaging the impeachment process against a former president because they got to be removed before you couldn't issue initiate Phase two, which is disqualification. Let's get back to your calls Brian standing by in Port Huron. Brian, can they be impartial? Impartial? Excuse me jurors in this case Of course not. No, of course they can. Can you hear me guy? I sure can. Yeah, No, they can't. I think the real issue here. There's a lot of talk of what can and can't be done, But really what? This is. It's just less than attack or anything against Trump and more on attack on at least half the country that voted for him because what they're doing is simply trying to make it so we can't run again. Airport taking away our toys. 12. This man did run again and the will of the people either wanted him or didn't You know, let that be, but to try to make it so that he can't just because he's a different kind of president. He's refreshing to a lot of people who maybe had voted for a Romney or somebody else, and they actually have somebody they think is a little different than your typical politician. So this is nothing more than taking away that choice of people and that so I would I would defend. The idea of voter choice is strongly as you do, Brian, But it begs the question then. Is it? An ABS is the right to choose absolute at some point, Doesn't a candidate disqualify themselves and forfeit their right and and because of the egregiousness of it that voters were disenfranchised on choosing them again, too. Do you think that the voters choice should be absolute? There's a process I mean, they're still would have to be a primary process. There's a lot of things that would have to happen for somebody to get in again, but to make to make them not even have the choice or the option. It's not easy to run for president and to rerun and I think that they clearly that this was such a difference. So I mean, if you look at what what's happened in the first couple weeks during Biden and what was happening, you know, doing and undoing and This is going to go back before it and they don't want it to happen worse. What he started to do would get completed and you could get somebody else to go like a weak candidate like a Romney or somebody else. And we're half the country's gonna be very disappointed that I see it no other way as just trying to eliminate him. For that reason, and that night, I think there's some Republicans that would like to heal the rift that is now in the party. And I would like to see him dispatch, too. And I mean, there has been some that raised the question if this was a secret and not a public ballot You might see some senators saying that what? Because the notion is Brian that what he did and undermining the election and the narrative that he created and the fact that he took it to the limit that he did on January 6th. That there are some that say that that should be disqualifying that he forfeited his own right to run again because the egregiousness of what was done And that's the only thing that I would take issue with. I agree. I think we ought to think twice before we deny voters a choice. But we also should acknowledge that it shouldn't just be a political process at some point. Um, the act is egregious enough that you've got to take action and disqualify them And I think the founders that's why it's in there. If I could just make one point that.

"I'll tell you we're talking about truth in about how do you find out? The truth. A lot of people when it comes to politicians. You just kind of go. Yeah, well, there Of course, they're lying. They're politicians may be the answer. Is in a a jury of your peers. There is a whole bunch of lawsuits flying. We told you before. That Rudy Giuliani is being sued by Dominion voting systems. 107 page lawsuit for $1.3 billion. Based on more than 50 statements that Rudy made Ah, about the Dominion voting machines, so that is going to be litigated. Um, this is, um Smartmatic. The other one that got a lot of Sameer job on them by. I'm sorry. I think Sydney Palace has lost her marbles. She's the one that was somehow it was from Hugo Chavez, Venezuela. Votes were being diverted to someplace in Spain encounter danger. I mean, it was Crazy business Well, They also got Smartmatic in there and smear their name. So a $2.7 billion lawsuit was filed today. Against Fox News. Rudy Giuliani. And Sidney Powell. And the Fox lawsuit. They are specifically naming. Lou Dobbs, Maria Bartiromo and Janine Pero off intentionally lying about Smartmatic in an effort to mislead the public. Into a false belief. So lawsuits. Maybe maybe this will be How you determine that proof. Let's see what happens. Who wins. Does Rudy win? Does Sidney Powell win? As Fox win, or are they gonna be writing checks? That's one way to Get to the truth because in court You can't lie. Or you're in even worse trouble. So then one more lawsuit filed today. The Lincoln Project. Which is an anti trump group. The never Trumpers. This is a bunch of Republicans. That did not like Donald Trump. They are suing Rudy Giuliani. And this, This actually is kind of funny. Because, um Rudy Giuliani has been sued by the Lincoln Project. And So, Rudy Giuliani responded. Saying, I'm writing them back a letter telling them that I will not respond to their letter. Mm hmm. You got to be a lawyer to understand that Yeah, No, he's he's writing them a letter telling them I will not respond to their letter. I I get it, but it's funny the way it came out. 855295 66 100 the truth. Is something doesn't matter about your politics. Your Democrat Republican pro Trump anti Trump doesn't matter The truth. Is a virtue. Ah, human virtue that you were taught. By your parents, and I presume you taught your Children But for some reason it is Outta control right now on people trying to determine what the truth is. So I I find these lawsuits interesting. 855295 66 100 Jeff in Port Huron, Michigan. Hello, Jeff. Yes, sir. All right. I was a trump supporter. And, um, yeah, I didn't. I don't feel like drinking Kool Aid that never waived his banners, flags or anything, but I really lost a lot of respect. He stood up for six years and said he wanted to drain the swamp. And then his last day in office, he left for me. Kilpatrick out of jail. That guy was the king of the swamp. It was I just I can't even watch the news after that anymore. I can't even either side it don't matter. I just can't stand it. Well, though, the one the one that got me that look and I think all of every president whenever they do these Hardens. It just smells to high heavens to me. But the one that got me was just it was the Steve Bannon Pardon because Bannon was ripping off. Donald Trump's supporters. And so I didn't know his story. Yeah, he, uh, he's been charged. I saw allegedly ripping off his supporters. He was part of a group. There were four guys, and one of them was Steve Bannon. That we're out there raising money to build a wall, a private enterprise effort to build the wall. And they raised huge amounts of money and guess what they did with it allegedly They spent it on themselves. They had a good time. And so he was no Bannon, which was indicted, and, um Went in and was brought into court was arrested, brought into court and pled not guilty, and Donald Trump pardoned him over the accusation that he Was ripping off Donald Trump's supporters and The thing about this, which is interesting is Bannon was doing business with these three other guys now that he's accepted the pardon? They can get him to testify against the other three on what they were doing. He can't take the fifth. So e don't know what a mess Trump do Think when sometimes when Trump did things I would be like Is this guy? Or is this just the whole? Bad, fabricated show, or is he really they all working together to create the chaos? Yeah, I don't know. It was just crazy. It was. It was unbelievable. Some of the stuff that he did. He's back. Crap. Crazy. Yeah. It probably started early with the When he came down the escalator and he was talking about the Mexicans are not sending their best and Went from there to John McCain. And, you know, I mean that, but that's what people when he did that people love them even more..

"T r u m spectrum human dot Borg We are going to wear now We're going to Ontario. That's right. We're going across the border. Give some advice on filters for a Samsung refrigerator. Joe, this is Bill. Good morning, Bill. Thanks for calling. And how may we help you, sir? My, aren't you the popular one now? I mean, we didn't have to wait in our that, like, get to talk to you. Now you're like You're the star of Detroit. Yeah. I got news. I don't know. I don't But you know what? Honestly, what they've heard over the last hour. I'm totally blown away. I'm totally blown away. I haven't listened to you for a couple of weeks and I've missed probably eons but anyway So, so let's let's get back to work out The reason why I called, you know. I mean, because, like I have a Samsung Fred rate and I bought it like eight years ago. I the Kenmore for like, almost 20, plus And he gave us the go. So I bought a Samsung and I get I get what you're saying. Right? And I've had no issues so far, like cross wouldn't them crossing my legs and everything? But you know, I've had some issues so, but I'm thinking myself. Okay, So why would I mean over in Canada here where we are. If I'm gonna, like, do the religious thing and do the filters. Oh, So how much is it gonna cost? Well, I got looking at it. It's like 250 bucks for three filters from Sears Way back when Syria's is still alive here in get They're not here anymore. So then I was going to best buy because that's where I bought it in Port Huron. And I'm thinking Oh, yeah, They're 50 bucks us. That's 75 bucks Canadian, right? And then I gotta like declared if they decided to send me and that's another 13% on top, So I'm going. You're kidding me. So guess what I do. Pushed the button. Push the button. Push the button because I'm drinking the water that I'm here. The water comes in there. I don't care, You know, I'm saying That's where I see the people if your waters gave Forget about the damn filter. I know it's there. Don't pull it up, because if you pull it out, you probably gonna have a leak or something's gonna happen to it. You know, it's always those. You know what I mean, Bill, I'm gonna take you a story and I'm going to take the time here because You know, the phone lines air filled with people want to talk, but I I get that because I was there. I was there. Thank God you. You said I But, Bill, I'm gonna tell you a story. This is a fact. Years ago, when the water dispenser became a big thing in the refrigerator. Everybody wanted it. They still do today but years ago There was no filter in your refrigerator. You drank what came in from your water line. And so I went to a home. And it happened to be the vice president of president of this radio station back then was, unfortunately passed away A great guy, he said. Joe Way I got a water leak in my refrigerator. Uh, And would you go on take a look at it and make a service call? In other words, so I went over there. And I saw the reservoir tank behind the crisper drawer at the very bottom of the refrigerator, and there was a leak on it, so I had to buy it. I had to order a new one I got at the next day I went back in install it and I took the old one out, and I'm looking at the old one, which is made of clear plastic. And I'm looking at it. I go. Wow. What's that black stuff in there? In the The reservoir tank. Well. Bill. Just a month or two later, all of a sudden the manufacturers all together Came up with a filter for the refrigerator. I cost $50 or whatever it was then. But I took that water reservoir tank and I took a little hacks on and I cut it and I looked in there and I go boldly Corolla. Is this poison in here? This is pure mold and mildew and every stinking thing there is that's in the water, okay? I'll bet you somebody died drinking a glass of water out of a refrigerator. And that's why all the manufacturers who don't talk to each other all came up with a filter. That's how serious that filter is in your refrigerator. Yeah. You know what I get that part? I get that partner And if I said all I do is I said there. I never drank water out of there. But you know what I mean The ice in the water the same thing. And, yeah, I get that part. Okay. Well, you know what? Thanks. But you know what? I mean? We're talking like so So. But I did extrapolated that a so I'm thinking. Okay, So now we're talking Even if I bite in stage now, I can't get over to see you guys. I love the union. I love to give you big on the kiss. But I'm just saying yet I can't. I can't. I can't get over there. But even even like there's no serious now and I went on Samsung and you know they'll send it to you, but it's like in Canadian and we're talking like almost 300 bucks. For three filters. And you know when you're supposed to change them every three months, I thought to myself why? By the fridge because you know, and I don't even have like you said. I mean, you should just like, put that in the old days. I used to do that from my mom. You know, I used to, like, put ice in these little container things and throw him in the freezer. Because if you have if you have to buy all these things Yeah, I'll pay for the fridge three times, but the time I did that is done, right? I mean, I'm telling anybody Tell you the truth, buddy. That's crazy. Bill. Thanks for calling. I appreciate your phone call very much. Let's give you Joe's email address in case you want to get in touch with Joe during the week. Maybe you know you fared on the weekend right now, give us a call. That's what the show is all about talking on the phone giving advice personally, But during the week you come up with a question he needed answer. Email, Jode his own personal email address. And so all you need is that address, which is the first four letters of appliance followed by the first four letters.

I'm glad to see the 25,000 National Guard troops that are that are there and I'm going to be in the area. I think it's definitely better to be safe than sorry. You can't Exactly. You know, if you don't have enough, you have problems of something comes up. If you have too many, Well, you have too many, And maybe it was costly and whatnot. But at least you least you were able to keep things under control. And it's interesting, though, that they're concerned about an inside. Job of some sort. Where the you know where the FBI is actively looking at who's who's working. There s so we'll have to keep an eye on that are getting intelligence that that's a possibility. Or is it just an over abundance of caution? I think it's an over abundance of caution, but it's something they are looking at and talking about. So you know, you have to have some some concern about it. You know for them to be going that far. Let's check in with the collars. The number by the way is 1 808 5909571 808 590 wjr. Let's check in with Tom and Clinton Township Time. Welcome to the guy Gordon shop. Yeah. Yeah. Tom, go ahead. All right. You know, I'm just a little concerned today about this vetting of the National Guard. How? What questions? Would they be asking the National Guard? When you're vetting? You're asking questions. They've already been vetted to get into the military. Then they're gonna ask questions about who you voted for. How about your social media platform? Then? My question is If they're looking at my social media platform, who's judging my social media platform? How have we gone to the point where we don't even trust our own military? Help me, please? I'm lost as a corporal in the United States Marine Corps. Well, Do you think any background checking needs to be done? Or do you think whatever background check was originally done, or whatever was needed originally is enough that they don't have to have any concern about it. Or do you think this is specific to maybe something they've seen in somebody's pro for I'm sorry to cut you are when I joined the Marine Corps. It was 35 years ago. It took me seven days of processing at M C R d San Diego seven days off eight hour to 10 hours of questioning, filling out papers re asking questions. They know everything about my health. My education, my welfare. What more questions do they ask other than Who did I vote for? President? Is that what you think they're doing? I'm sorry. Is that what you think they're doing right now? Do you think that's what the vetting process is right to say what I voted for that my question? What are those questions that they're asking Those short 30,000 National Guard troops down there that have no no ammunition? Well, I hope they're not asking them who they voted for. I guess we'll find out after after the vetting process. Tom. Thanks for calling. We appreciate it. Thanks for your service. Kevin in Port Huron. Thanks for calling the guy Gordon show. Thanks for having me at Kevin. I just listen to your doctor from Beaumont have a question Millions of people in my area and throughout the country probably would like to ask With stars and all the previous viruses called etcetera. We know what the reaction Woz Why are we over acting now for this? Coben is a political or do we not act properly last time? What do you think? With the second stranger just where we're at right now. Well, we've never reacted to any virus like we just did with millions of people out of work, losing their jobs, Um, period and we're just overreacting. What's with covert? That wasn't with the rest that we have to act the way we're doing now. Yeah, It is interesting because people who, uh, would say all this is all political. This was about the election of Donald Trump or or or or politics in general. I'm not sure because I'm not sure that if you take Michigan and governor Gretchen Whitmer people have criticized her heavily saying that she's making decisions she's making. Solely for political reasons, But she hasn't really changed course. Now that the election is over, there's.

We appreciate you being with us on the Sunday morning edition of Housing, lifestyle information you could trust we invite you to call and participate with us in the next hour. 18 8654 guys. Can you know? I don't think people appreciate just just how broad your experience with masonry is and concrete, you know, So when you talk to those issues E. I mean, you really quickly said we used to build chimneys, you know, from the basement. I you know, unless you've got a house where that Fireplace was, you know, started in the basement and built all the way up. I don't think people can appreciate the nuance and the skill. You know the techno tech technical aspect of that. There are a few things chuck that I say that it's really hard to die. Why obviously was Let's go. One is plumbing. And what is masonry? Glad you said that so quickly because people don't realize what we don't. Let's say you build a brick wall. What's hard about building brick wall? You just desperate Compaq top of each other. Well, what these days want people to go up against a brick wall and put their eye on that wall? Just put your face lean one cheek on that brick wall and take a look down that wall. If it's a good Mason, you're going to see perfectly straight line, Same size, joint fame size and joints. If it wasn't if it was an apprentice, which I was for a long time, You're going to see bricks that are moving back and forth, up and down, waving. You'll see what we call bows in the wall that we're done accidentally toe where they come to fart on the string and go back in. Try to think about how much weight is on a 10 FT. Long wall. Stacked 4 ft. High brick. Yeah, if you're mortars too loose. It's a very cold day as you stack those those will start to push down each other and shrink. So, yeah, Masonry is it's an art. You say it's an art. I think I think that word is do you go ahead? I think there are. I think the word artwork of throwing out too easily. But some of the lost arts and masonry are the guys that built Detroit. You guys that built? I mean, you have been in the blessed sacrament in Detroit. It is amazing. I could never hold a candle to those guys. I'll tell you that right now. It is amazing. Masonry work that those guys did. You know, we all love the culture Stone. The man made stone. It's a beautiful product. But that when that product came out The real stone Masons went away the guys that could build you a real stone job. Remember the one? I could have my house years ago in the back the big wallet with that patio? I don't think there's many guys out there today. That could do that job, you know, probably sat in those six houses ago, I had a natural stone fireplace built at a house at home with two beautiful Natural fireplaces in it. And one of most stone and I remember watching the guy do the work. On. I'm the kind of guy that if I watched you, I felt I could do anything. You know that was something where now just and how he laid those stones out on the ground and cutem and fit of dry fit them in the grass before he's you know, laid one or two rows and then quit for the day. Because of the weight in the mass. Well, you know, before I got to lay brick, I spent two years being a laborer and let me Good way to learn if your eyes are open exactly And when the labour's job Labour's job is the labor, no brick masons job is to lay brick. And the reason I say that is when I was a labor. I don't show up an hour before anyone else something. Yeah. Load all the brick up and made sure when that brick masons stepped on that scaffolding that he did nothing but lay brick, I mean, Production production, but a good brick mason Kenly 1000 bucks a day with a good laborer Now, mortar better be perfect. You're right, switched at the stone masonry. It's the exact opposite. Stonemason is a very tedious job. You can't be in a hurry when you do is you light all these stones out, and I'm saying it could be 30 by 30. Area where the stone and you picked the individual stone you at the end of my career years ago, someone actually had a laser pointer. So you'd be up there. So I want that one. He'd be able to point to the stone, but he wanted before you go. I want that one on the right. You don't have to try to fire But remember, the chisels were still mainstream. Oh, yeah, They weren't appointed chisel. They're about a quarter At the end, it was cut Carbide a quarter inch and boy you would have to you would risk breaking your hand. When you were trying to chisel some of those stones you trying to get those off, so my hands still wear the scars from all the years I did, but I'm proud of those cars. Absolutely. And I think it's good stuff. It's good stuff to be able to bring that sense. You know that history To the show when we talk to people because I think it gives us and it gives our opinions greater validity. You know that We've got those scars and that we Made the mistakes that we learned that we struggled through that. That's one thing when we sit down with our advertisers, and we start talking to him. They all know that We've been on both sides. We've been on that side of the table where we're Found the product. We've been on that side where we're buying the product. We've been on that side where we're working on the product. So that 80 years is legitimate 80 years worth of housing experience. Two of us way. Enjoy it. We love it. We're grateful for it.
