"Hugging each other. And you just wanted to be there, and then the neck that was the first time in the next night is soldiers, and sailors my gosh, it was. This amazing. And I think that was positive and I had friends. I couldn't go to the demonstration when he was here. But because I was working, but I'd friends that went there was no hate. Every picture. I saw that demonstration couldn't have possibly been more peaceful. No, she's had that and she had her children with lots of little children there. And she said we they just turn their backs and some knelt took a knee. She said there was no yelling screaming. It was not hate Selden. It's just sad that some can't seem to get it together. And and again, we did welcome just didn't want to come down. And I was involved in the traffic crazy yesterday. I was half for somewhere because everywhere in the city was with closed off every road, and I was down by the river. And I said he doesn't need this road, squirrel hill. Anyway, it just it really did tie things up. And. Yeah. Yeah. And just he's just sad. It's just it's very sad. But anyway, thank you so much for your show. I I really appreciate it and your guests as well. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for letting me know that you yell at the radio because I'm constantly yelling at the radio or the TV. And I don't wanna be the only know I do. Especially in the car. Thank you Bye-bye. Actually. Thanks marcy. Do you guys yell at two small appliances? I don't really listen to the radio. The only time I listen to the radio on your on. Well, that's that makes you smarter than the average. All day. So. What here's Anthony and Oakland, Anthony. Thank you. You don't. Democratic socialist too. They need to get yourself track. Together, they expected anything of being political novice. I'm a lot of her comments about hooking hit you once last week. Has to go down as one of the classic. Dumbest statements ever. I've heard about it. I still have yet to look it up. She did she say there were a lot of racists in her district. Ninety three percent of oh constituents. I've gotta look that. Do you disagree that? There are not a lot of racists in Pittsburgh. Young lady. Now, I just like to know what you think do you think that there's a lot of. Racists in Pittsburgh. Please allow me to finish. And I woke I will answer. The sl. I every black man and living in a barricade sixty three years old. Of course, that's. If your constituents who she named ho self or ninety three percent, you don't call them racist or you're in control of the election. Why would you do that? Why would you insult? The imaginary ninety three percent. And she stated that that is historically stupid. Period. You don't do that. So if Bob Costas somehow, he probably won't be able to do it this time, but you can bet in two years. She's going to have a big time challenges, including probably myself since I live in her district. You have any he couldn't get one hundred and fifty write in votes in the primary to get his name on the Republican ballot. If you remember he was trying to do this writing campaign is a joke. It's led by Republican people who stand who support Republican candidates. This is all a joke. Donald defending her comments. Is that correct? I am defending the I am going against the effort of trying to smear Sarah's name when all she's trying to do is good for us. Young lady, I'm not trying to smear anything I've been democrat for over forty seven years. It's not a smear anything. I wasn't directing that you. Anthony. I was directing that at the people who are running this smear campaign against her. Well, it's not a smear. She gave. It was a stupid. Even if you if you feel that way, keep it to yourself. You don't publicly say that absurdity, and she reminds me a lot of the Alexandria court Cortes up in New York. When confronted with. Bollocking ice. And and asked about how do you want to pay for all these goodies? You wanna give anybody please take you up to explain them? They they she they Katie time. So of course, she's gonna win associates running unopposed. But the next time she absent challenges and hopefully by then she won't be in all of us anymore have more experience. And no you don't insult your constituents. That's a great outlook on that. Anthony. I actually from from my perspective, and I don't have a dog in that race with Sarah. But that was that was a good perspective. I think that was an incredibly callous remark it was similar to something. Donald Trump might say this because it was so over exactly. It was it was exaggerated, and it was off the cuff and probably should have thought that out a lot more before she said that and it's gonna it's gonna come back to haunt her. Maybe not right now. But it could come back to haunt her later. And I think Anthony's, right. She's she has to like that would be the end there. She realized we become more than a novice and learned that she represents everybody. Even if she doesn't agree with them, politically, according to Katie K television, Sarah Maradas, the democratic socialist candidate running for Pennsylvania state Representative. So goes the story. Seen a frog in my throat after defending after defeating incumbent Don costume democratic primary appeared to be coasting toward victory, but then made this comment while recording a podcast about her future constituents, quote, I look at my district, right? And it's ninety three percent white my district, which I know is like white working class poor folk who are racist because it is so much easier for them to look there's to their site and say to look to their side and say, I'm going to blame that person. So I don't know if there's a defense or not, but it seems to me she's saying a bunch of marinas, but I don't think she called not all of the ninety three percent of her district is white and some racist. And there are poor folk in there are working class people. That is what she said. And of course, it's taken out of context by everybody wants to say the far left the far, right and fake democrat Dom cost. Everybody wants to buy what writing campaign Kasese in like Flynn, right? Anybody can run a write in campaign. You can run a rating. Okay. Live in the district. So basically, he's telling people write me and on the ballot. Who's telling that, Don Costa's, I had gone into my radar. So that's that's where this came from this. Okay. Sarah said this so right Dom? That's like the if then statement, I mean again, like I said if everyone remembers in the primary Dom Kosta rant campaign to get the Republican right in nomination. Okay. And to me is a democrat. I'm sorry. I get you're trying to do whatever you can to win. But I would never I would never it would go against everything I stood for tasks Republicans to vote for me. I'm gonna vote against everything that they want. Why would I do that? If I was a true democrat to say that my democrat. Hey, the Democrats didn't want me. So, hey, let's take what's second-best. Like would you vote for me? If I couldn't get all you needed was a hundred and fifty votes in the prior remember that? Yeah. Get on the ballot show that this is a right in as. There are no Republican candidate. Right. Right. So you can pick Sarah or you can pick a right in right? Those are your only options on the ballot in that race. And in the context of John red. They're in Anthony said that's actually not that wrong of a comment. I can't disagree with what she said. There are a lot of racist. If you want to see the Pittsburgh doesn't have a problem with racism. This was the third Neo Nazi mass shooting in Pittsburgh in eighteen. That's funny and Damon young who's an American. I love that article was writing a piece in which he pointed out among other things. Yes. Coral hills all come together. And and let's go forward. But let's not forget that the larger community also produced this anti Semite who killed eleven. We went over friends of ours houses tonight house tonight, you know, after their kids read on trick or treating and we were talking to them about this. And I said, yeah, we're toted as all these articles. All these national news articles there toting Pittsburgh as this. Everyone loves each other. We're so accepting. We're we're all in. So we're on Pittsburgh, patting ourselves on the back like, yeah. Good job. Good job. We're great. We don't need to fix anything. That is not true. There is racism in our city every single day. There's racism everywhere every single day. Okay. That's true. But that's why I I wonder sometimes I should we never say anything good about the city because like every city we got a lot that's bad because that welcome to humanity. No, we can think of things I mean, you know, me I'm like the biggest around commerce. I really am. I. I love this city knowledge but albums, but I accept that. There are problems that we need to work on in while we may be doing better than a lot of cities. I'm sure we're doing worse than a lot of cities. Also in just because we were able to come together as a tragedy does not mean, this is this all accepting society. There's there's racism there's anti-semites there's big it's there's once again, they show have can you say many people in the community. Do you have to say many people in the community coming together, and we're trying to cope in the face of this tragedy? But just don't forget we also suck in a lot of areas. But yeah. That's what the Damon piece implies even though I totally agree with what he's saying. I feel like you can never do a puff piece on the good part. Why don't you phrase it more along the lines of let's say we are doing a great job at comforting each other. And being there for our neighbors like all the money that the Muslims raised the tree of life of you know, things like that. Like, yes, we help each other. We are trying to be better. And I think that solves right there. Right. We are trying to be. But then you have you have to put in every piece. Don't forget we still suck. I wouldn't say that we suck. But you have to remember lake Damon said though, Robert Bowers was a product that was a great point. Weird out all Mr. Rogers. Look Poploskie shot. Three police officers was a what government heating Rothschild that murdered Antoine rose. Right Richard bomb hammers who went on. I think including Bob members they were all from here where or not. Yeah. That's what I thought. No, that's homegrown. I'm not totally out of time. We have time after the battle of the other news. We'll be back with Bethany and Brendan and your calls..
