Amanda Milius Tackled a Hugely Complex Issue in Her Film 'The Plot Against the President'

"Love your work I'm a huge fan of amanda milius. But when i saw the movie i just hats adoph because you took a huge lead complex issue that goes from opposition research dossiers painful by hillary clinton to cia assets trying to Trap george popadopoulos in british. Pob stu mike. Flynn being accused of doing something. That was absolutely his duty to do. All the way through you know the russia collusion hoax on capitol hill. And you crunched into what one hundred minutes ninety minutes. Ninety minutes yeah. Amazing is left when we we know we have over seventy hours of footage and we did forty interviews thirty five interviews and forty days a month and a half. Yeah and then. The way that i know i did it in under one hundred days is because when i first got out of the administration the first thing i did is come do an interview with you here and this was before the with ten days after you left something literally ten days after i left and i hadn't even announced the movie announced it. I don't even think i announced it. I said i was doing a project. And you knew what it was. But i didn't even announce it and you were like. Are you gonna finish this project. And i don't know by the election. And i was like that's a hundred days away. Yes i am going to do it and you were like and it's amazing. I mean no congratulations crazy. So everybody needs to see it. Trump Didn't Know He Was in a War With the Deep State in 2016

"Do you think trump has finally woken up to the idea that he kind of squandered opportunities that he was like me and like many persuaded that He might be able to get some things done not aware that he was in fact in an all out war. Yeah i would. I would cut trump's some some real slack for not realizing that the left was not going to permit the legitimate transition of power in two thousand sixteen and they never did. The left rejected the the results of the two thousand sixteen election and use every method fair and foul terrorist methods. Creating a fake dossier that links an american citizen like donald trump that links into the farm power and suggests that he's committing treason making up the lab dossiers putting him in hotel rooms. Doing disgusting acts with prostitutes taking bribes from foreign governments making all of that up and then the fbi knowing it is a pack of lies and using its power destroying people's lives going to go after. Mike flynn george popadopoulos. Pablo carter page destroying people's lives in service. What they knew was ally. This is how the east german stasio operated. So i don't know. Donald trump did not realize that the deep state were anti-american evil terrorist force. That must be rooted out of america and the hundreds of these people deserve to spend the rest allies in federal prison. That's how bad the fbi is. The fbi should be abolished at every executive members should be investigated with an inch of their lives to find out how for instance so many of them could go public and say the hunter biden. Laptop was russian disinformation. They said all that just before the election they said the case against donald trump was solid. They lied to us. They used our own government against us just as surely as your andropov used his government against the russian people in the nineteen eighty s. We are dealing with a domestic dictatorship. That is using facebook and twitter to get around the first amendment censor free speech. You can't even ask questions about the legitimacy in the last election. Or whether it's a good idea to take maxine. No you're going to be silenced. And the federal government is going to coordinate with these allegedly private companies in order to silence your free speech. Are you alarm yet. Are you angry

Trump pressed Australian PM for help over Mueller probe

"And I wanted to bring up potential quid pro quo speaking of this in the Australia matter her. I haven't heard anything about this in the mainstream media but I wanted to note to note the time line of events in the call trump made to Australia's prime minister regarding the investigation into the origins of the Mueller or investigation. This is part of his attempt to disprove. Russia hacked the United States so he can get sanctions lifted so now we know trump called the Australian prime minister Morrison on May eighteenth TNT TNT and he called to discuss having them help bar investigate what happened with Alexander Downer and the popadopoulos thing and Popadopoulos is reporting porting or at Alexander Downer's reporting to our intelligence agencies that he'd been told by Popadopoulos that he had a line on Hillary's emails from Mifsud is professor from Cambridge. We also know that on May Twenty Eighth Ambassador Joe Hockey wrote a letter to bill bar offering assistance in the matter a copy of which was sent into the White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney by the way acting chief of staff just put acting in front of it also said his letter Joe Hockey's letter to the White House Acting White House chief of staff and Bill Bar said while Alexander Downer is no longer employed by the government we stand ready to provide you with all the relevant information to support your inquiries and that very weak and this is the interesting part there were reports that trump considered placing trade tariffs on Australian aluminum which under a deal struck by trump and the former former prime administer in two thousand eighteen they'd been exempt up to up to them to this on the steel and aluminum tariffs trump also did not deny the reporting the prime minister did not deny the reporting but he downplayed it reporting from the New York Times instead the US decided against making any changes that week to the arrangement and kept Australian aluminum and steel exempt trump from tariffs and we've learned that the conversation between Morrison and trump was also hidden in the codeword classified system trump's been using to escape scrutiny of political harmful phone calls and meetings but we still don't have any confirmation that the tariffs were held off in exchange for assistance with the investigation into the Muller pro but I'm going to put some beans on it.

Trump pressed Australia to help investigate Russia probe origin

"We're learning from the new york times that trump called the australian prime minister in recent weeks and asked them to help bill bar in his ongoing investigation into into the oranges of the muller probe we say oranges because that's how trump pronounces origins and that was apparently the only purpose of the call presumably he's asking australia because that's where the whole thing effectively began with when alexander downer ran into popadopoulos and then he called our FBI a few months later when the whole emails on dirt on hillary thing came out and he goes you know weird i was talking to a guy and so i think he's down there trying to discredit that so two things here it it seems as though trump knows though publicly denies that the beginning of the muller probe was when australia called our FBI and told him about pablo dot popping off about hillary dirt in a london pub saying that way so i i it seems trump knows that's where it originated even though that's not his talking point trump would rather have you believe that the steele dossier and pfizer warrants hillary and ukraine and whatever we're what kicked off crossfire hurricane or peter stock or the molar the probe but the time line makes no sense so he's out looking for a way to discredit the actual oranges of the investigation he's doing this i think with barin pompeo in italy who who i believe are there to look into mifsud but that's conjecture and it's really funny that i wrote that in the script because news broke shortly the after that confirmed that conjecture so it was conjectured but we were right and jordan you had said that too in that conversation we have we'll go over that and a little bit because that's a whole other bombshell that dropped today but this lines up with you know trump asking ukraine to look into the DNC hack in crowd strike and another thing that this whole australia thing tells me is that trump and the what's the guy's name who's investigating the investigation is the connecticut US attorney talking about right durham that's it durham not a for the life of me remember that it's durham so trump in durham who are we're conducting the investigation into the mueller investigation they have nothing i think it's if he's calling australia and sending people to italy and ukraine to track backdown conspiracy theories or debunk actual he's literally got nothing yeah why can't they send an email i have to tell him person probably because we're watching watching every communication he has now totally travelling in person is the new ellipses of corruption

"You'd give the live video feed and other really wants that to be honest with you it is the weekend with joepags glad to have you along for the ride. Thanks a lot for stop let go on. And there's a lot that will get to George popadopoulos is back in the news. And there George popadopoulos. His name is probably familiar to you. Now, you've any attention. What's going on news wise, he was making in the New York Times this week as the times tries to give cover to the Obama administration spying on on the Trump campaign popadopoulos was the target of of this investigation of the coup, or whatever you wanna call it. In fact. His book is called deep state target for good reason for good reason. So we'll have him on to talk about exactly what it was the government was trying to do to him. He feels it was a setup. The report says that a woman who is coming onto was an FBI agent. He thinks that she was a and there's a big difference there. We'll have a conversation with him. Coming up. Also, Debbie Sousa, she's originally from Venezuela. We're gonna talk about what's happening in her in her home country, and how nuts it is that there are people in our government like Akhazia Cortez lucky line, Omar who are showing support for socialism in Venezuela is a horrible situation there right now. So why they would ever do that is completely lost on me? And probably will be on you as well. Sheriff David Clarke we've met him on today and plenty time for your phone calls. I want to start with with with really good positive economic news. And the reason why I'm starting with that is because the far left media. I call them the big media at the legacy media, many, call them, the mainstream media, I don't know if that's true true nomenclature to be honest. I think legacy media the old time media that thought that it could get away with anything that hates being called out by people like me. They don't report stuff like this. I mean, they do, but they do it very quickly in passing and then focus on the distraction that was Bill bar in front of a a Senate panel this week. The economy is booming. What he was running for election businessman. Donald Trump said that he would do certain things to fix the economy actually suggested it would be easy. And he's been under fire under attack in an attempted silent coup since he's been in office for two and a half years and still he has done what he said he would do and has shattered anybody's expectation, even my own. And I thought that he would do well as a businessman I've been saying since Ross Perot, you need a businessman in there or businesswoman. You need somebody in there who's got a business acumen that will walk in and say, if this were my company could I run it this way? What it stay open? Of course. No. No way, you can continue running a company slash country in such a way that you're always in the red that doesn't make So he comes in and starts making changes like looks lower these regulations. Let's lower this power control. Let's let's incentivize bringing these jobs back. We'll we'll drop the taxes by a lot. So millions and millions of Americans will get bonuses from their companies get raises for their companies and companies will have the extra money with which to expand and hire people and bring bring jobs back the way Obama. So they weren't coming back. He's done just that. And while the left is freaking out over Bill bar, and the fact that they couldn't get him to. Say and do whatever they wanted. The president continues to show an improved economy and it used to politics. That's where everything started. It's the economy stupid. If the economy stupid. Is. It's an old saying from generations gone by those people say well politics is really about how they make. You feel not politics is about how things are going at your house with your family. It's not politics really about whether you can go on vacation, you know, once a year. No not about that either. It's about the economy stupid the economy stupid. The calling the person's stupid. They're saying it too. But don't be lost by all of these distractions and diversions because people vote by the pocketbook their wallets. So is your paycheck higher now under this president mine is because of lower taxes is your are your job outlook, you job propositions or is the outlook for you better. Yes. Or more people working absolutely got more people working now America that we've ever had in our history ever ever ever. Omar. Don't worry. I do have a packs today, and it's horrible awesome. It's horrible. You know, that's unashamed melody. Yeah. Yeah. Ruined. It's bad. Really? So what we get that? We'll talk about Joe Biden, though. So I have to do it. All right. Yeah. So it's it's about the economy. It's about your ability to go to work. It's about your ability to support yourself your family and maybe by by some gum. It's about whether you can take a look at another car or or maybe move up into a better apartment or house. It's the economy so as much as Washington, New York, and San Francisco and Chicago wanna be focused on this stuff that most people don't care about the rest of us are looking at the economy. Here's a report from the New York Post, Joe Teke Pino, Nikki Schwab wrote it story so important to people had to write it businesses booming in the US is a record number of Americans are getting back to work. The nation's economy got another rave review on Friday as the latest April jobs report, showed businesses attitude or sixty three thousand jobs dipping the unemployment level to a five decade low of three point six percent. It's the lowest unemployment we've seen since nineteen sixty nine people think about that. And they're arguing about Bill bar in the Muller report in the summer. You know, this crap while people are working. Quote, the economy is unbelievable. President Trump told reporters at the Oval Office on Friday while hosting Slovakian. Prime minister, Peter Pellegrini, our economy is raging. The president added the number of people without jobs decreased across the board with unemployment down among men, women whites Asians and Hispanics, according to federal label Labor Department statistics at three point six percent. The country's unemployment rate hasn't been as low since nineteen sixty nine when Neil Armstrong, and Buzz Aldrin became the first people end on the moon. The US is on track to two million jobs for the ninth straight year. The jobs report showed solid economic growth is still encouraging strong. Hiring nearing a decade nearly a decade into the economy's recovery from the great recession. The economic expansion is set to become the longest in history in July stock market reacted decisively. Friday, the Dow Jones industrial average jumping tuner points to close at a near all time high of twenty six thousand five hundred four. Valid was quite different from one year ago in trade tensions with China and the rise of short term interest rates left, a stock market tumbling. We can all agree that America's number one. Trump tweeted Friday morning where the envy of the and the best is yet to come. He tweeted Federal Reserve chairman Jerome Powell signal that he would put rate hikes on hold vice president Mike Mike Pence hinted that four that the fed should be more lenient in setting an interest rate to let the economy continue to flourish quote. I think it might be time for us to consider lowering interest rates. Pence told CNBC's Yvonne Java's on Friday. I think that's the name. We just don't see any inflation in this economy at all Pete Shaw CEO of Manhattan-based translation services provider trains. Perfect said his companies hired hundreds of employees over the past few years. The job market is great for an incoming hires. He said this fight the competitive district. New hires? We brought him some fantastic people. And we're committed to growing in the city show told the post it's great time for grads coming out. They're coming. Into a healthy job market. It's great the economy and in in the city and in general. I mean, you're looking at an economy that's going nuts. So what is the left doing? They're focusing on bar, they're focusing on focusing on Muller. They're focusing on Pelosi or Cossio Cortez or focusing on crap that really doesn't matter minute to minute day to day week to week for the American people the American people like dig in their pocket and finding five dollars whereas they found lint a couple of years ago. That's a good thing. It's all good. So let me open up the phone lines. And in fact, some of your calls on this. Do you realize how good the economy is is it affecting you directly? Are you allowing yourself to be distracted and diverted with this Bill VAR crap? And which member of the house of representatives is eating chicken today, and who thinks Venezuela's a great place to go and visit or or you happy that your job prospects. Look it up. Look the payrolls in this country. They're up to like twenty seven dollars and something cents per hour on average twenty seven dollars an hour. Really? Martin. When I started working, I was making ninety our that was minimum wage two dollars ninety cents an hour. Yeah. I remember my dad would tell me that weaving your dad, I'm not that freaking old matter. My dad used to live in Texas. Oh, okay. All right. So to ninety hours where I started this was actually in Florida, and then only to three thirteen an hour, then went up a little bit. I mean, come on dude, we won't make it anything. People are making almost thirty dollars an hour. Now, we're still complaining. So is it still economy comma stupid, one eight hundred five zero one seventy eighty one eight hundred five zero one seven zero eight zero I will ruin one of the greatest songs in history when we come back with my my Joe Biden parody. What what did they call it unchained Biden? I think we'll have that for you and your phone calls as well. Joepags coming back on the weekends.

It gives his account of his work on Trump's twenty sixteen campaign popadopoulos tells CNN he did not know the Turkish woman who allegedly sought to seduce him. I have no idea who this person is. And I think some of the investigations into what happened in twenty sixteen probably going to bear that answer for for everyone on we now know that she was in some sort of research associate as I explained she just didn't fit that profile. She really match the profile of some sort of agents. So I was very suspicious right away about her popadopoulos says he believes the woman was CIA affiliated with Turkish until

F.B.I. Sent Investigator Posing as Assistant to Meet With Trump Aide in 2016

"New York Times. Yesterday FBI sent investigator posing as an assistant to meet with Trump aide in two thousand sixteen the conversation at a London bar in September of two thousand sixteen strange turn with a woman sitting across from George popadopoulos at Trump campaign adviser asked a direct question was the Trump campaign working with Russia. The the woman had set up the meeting to discuss foreign policy issues, but she was actually a government investigator posing. As a research assistant. According to people familiar with the operation, the FBI sent her to London as part of the counter intelligence inquiry opened that summer to better understand the Trump campaign links to Russia that is spying. There you go. And that's from the New York Times trying to as we believe and others believe this is the attempt and you've seen it. Whether it's Brennan coming out and saying I'll testify before congress. Whether it's Comi seeming to comment almost every day on on what's going on. Everybody's trying to get in front of what is coming down popadopoulos in response to this article identified this person, not as an FBI agent, but as a CIA officer, and so he's disputing that. This person was there on behalf of the FBI. But he according to him via his Twitter page responding to this article in the New York Times saying it was a operative this person, and that's not necessarily splitting hairs because now we wonder no. No, he's not speak the involvement of Brennan John Brennan, then CIA director you and I talked about a number of things. I you were the first that that said why is he way over the top protesting here? Every time he's talking about this thing. I mean, he's just really angry about it. I mean, just really it was way over the top with his anger with his accusations. Yes, then as again when the mullahs report came out, he said, all I might have got bad information. I guess my sources wrong. Well, then along with that. I asked the question because he was talking about. I forget where it was. But it was on one of the news channels MSNBC or where was where he was talking about the work with the FBI. He was talking about the F B is part of it. And I thought well, why is the former CIA director talking about the F B is work. What is what was what was all? I know he has sources, but why would he be talking because the context of it, and I don't have it in front of me the transcript, it just seemed odd. I thought will you you seem to have a real intimate knowledge of of the FBI in in detail of how they were involved in this particular case, and these instances events, I thought to myself, how would you know, how would you? Why why would you be talking about this? What how would that involve you? And you know, when you start putting together now, we've had more time. Of course, then we've learned more things, and we have of course, here at the at the program, we suspect there, there is a very good reason. We we think it's a justified reason to or theory to include the the former CIA director in all of this because of the. At least you can't say that he didn't know

Stefan helper magically reappears in September of two thousand sixteen and has the lower popadopoulos back to London why crossfire hurricanes already open. Why would they need to lure him back? If they've got such a great case that popadopoulos is relaying dirt on Hillary through Russians. Because ladies and gentlemen, that dirt line. That popadopoulos is alleged to have told Downer in the meeting that the FBI swears opened up this case that dirt line doesn't appear anywhere. That dirt line only appears in one place. In April of twenty sixteen meeting between George popadopoulos and a mysterious Maltese professor by the name of Joseph myth, soon that is the only time anywhere where the word dirt on Hillary in the form of quote, thousands of emails ever appears. Follow me. Okay. We're with you. So if the if the whole case starting in July of twenty sixteen. Is based on a Downer. Popadopoulos Alexander Downer. An Australian diplomat in London with popadopoulos. We're there's no mention of dirt at all Downer acknowledges popadopoulos never said anything about dirt on Hillary popadopoulos disavows, it it doesn't appear in any of the charging documents at that was said to Downer. Then how is the FBI investigating a case based on Russians trying to transmit quote dirt on Hillary in the form of thousands of emails to popadopoulos? You may say well, Dan, it's obvious. It's obvious that they they have had some prior knowledge of the April twenty sixteen meeting between popadopoulos and miss Souder. Oh, yes. Exactly. Why are they hiding that though? Ladies and gentlemen, they're hiding it. Because coming clear by the day that have sued or somebody at that meeting was working with our intelligence agencies to transmit that information to the FBI. Bingo, how else would they get it? I want to give a heavy duty hat tip to at the John w Huber. It's at Twitter account onset undercover. Huber is. Nam nam nam nam diploma totally different. I'm going to put up a screen shot from Adam shifts memo, he wrote after the newness memo. This is an fascinating tidbit, Hugh that is that no one is picked out. Adam Schiff writes this memo after Devon newness exposes this whole spying scandal on the Trump. Here's what reasons a line in there. It says weeks before the world learn that Russian actors hack into the DNC and the Clinton campaign the Russians through intermediaries he's talking about Masud here. So he's already setting you up for the fact that Adam Schiff knows Sudas a Russian spy trees track me here, this is shifts memo, so he's basically saying that the Russians through Masud informed, the one of the candidates foreign policy. Advisers, George popadopoulos in April of two thousand sixteen that the Russian government had dirt on Hillary in the form of thousands of emails in evidence before the Pfizer court. The DOJ also revealed that the Russians preview the release of this information to Mr. Papadopoulos at the time evidence. For the Pfizer court. Joe how would the word dirt and thousands of emails appear in a Pfizer court application that was approved in October of two thousand sixteen if the F B I didn't find out about the dirt on Hillary line and the myth sued meeting. Until January of twenty seventeen when they interview popadopoulos. Remember, he the FBI story is unknown. Oh, we got this whole thing from this guy. "You go. Plead not guilty. It's going to defeat them in court, and it will be very interesting to see how this plays out because I look at this situation. He is definitely the closest of the group. Right. I was ranking them earlier of the pe-, you got Manafort, and you've got Flynn. Popadopoulos Cohen, you know, those are the those are the four big ins, and and and now right here, you've got Roger stone. And this is definitely the closest that they've gotten to the president. And why is it different than the others? Well, what was in the indictment and the mentions in the indictment of a certain thing. Some campaign is mentioned twenty times. So no way to talk about this indictment and ignore the reality that some campaign is mentioned numerous times here. And when talking about him who directly answered that question. No, no, he hasn't. And I will tell you this. I mean, I again, I look at this situation is a little bit different. Then. The other ones. Because the other ones were they were they were just idiots. Looking out and many ways for their own pocketbook and their wellbeing, and they were kind of it. Choline was a more of a player, but he was a player on a personal level personal life stuff more. So than anything else right on the fringes. But definitely somebody who knew the inner workings of his personal life. But this is the one we look at you say, okay. Well, this is a little bit interests this a little bit closer. This is the person who's had a relationship for quite a while which up and has been along the way very adamant. About how much? He will not go against Trump at all. He's already said that. I mean, he came out today. First of all if you didn't see him. So you know, they take him away. He comes out today, and he essentially holds court and they asked him. So you're going to testify against the president. There is.

"Takes the ten thousand dollars and doesn't bring it back with them into the United States. Now, I have a lot of questions about this. Because what I believe is the FBI didn't have they were trying to get popadopoulos. The flip pop it in January popadopoulos wooden flip and work for the FBI in any substantive way against the Trump team. That's what I believe. That's why it says in one of the FBI documents George is in his second interview with the FBI reiterated his desire to help meeting at some point. He said it, but the F B I think wanted him to cooperate against Trump. I think that's the bombshell and popadopoulos wasn't playing ball and clearly between his first and second interview in January and February of two thousand seventeen popadopoulos senses something's wrong, hence, the deletion of his Facebook account the cell get rid itself. Oh. Popadopoulos senses. Something up that he is not in fact, the pigeon. He's the statue. He sends his that. Now, there's this leg between his second interview in February where he's not gonna play ball, apparently, the FBI storms, editor view and all the way in July, July. They must figure in these text messages that they're reading follow me Joe that there's something devastating about their the FBI's work on the popadopoulos case Muller's team clearly read something, hence, there's this rush to get popadopoulos. Get him locked up into shut his mouth. So they lock them up as he enters the country back into Dulles inconveniently, the amount of money, this guy gives them, and I believe the sloppily arranged hit on on on popadopoulos is the exact amount show. You would need to declare if you're reentering through the United States Costas the ten thousand dollars. Now popadopoulos does not bring the money back with him. He leaves it overseas. I believe in in a foreign accounted with a lawyer indicated. But isn't it fascinating show that that happens that whole ten thousand dollars given the popadopoulos happens right around the week. That Muller gets the text messages again flip then be for real. Folks. This all happens around this July, twenty seven date Muller gets the whole cases blown wide open. Clearly, he gets a look at the text messages that his entire team is corrupted. Andy Weissman, we now find out knew about the political origins of this hit we know that according to Bruce own testimony. We now know that Muller new through the text messages that has lead investigator, Peter stroke was corrupted that he hated Donald Trump that there was a political motivation for this. He knows all of this Muller. And every time this comes out instead of just being honest that this is a corrupt investigation into an innocent man on a fabricated case of collusion. He doubles down in what appears to be these these these hastily organized arrests and weaponized government arrests bully tactics to shut people down. It's clear as day, folks. Remember ten thousand dollars is the exact amount of money you need to declare when you deposited the US Bank. Yes, sir. Conveniently someone shows up..

And Mary Louise Kelley President Trump's sit down with Vladimir Putin looked set to go ahead on the sidelines of the g twenty summit this week. Then Trump threatened to call it off yesterday. He said it was probably on. And then from Air Force One on route to Argentina Trump tweeted. He was pulling out the bottom line is they may have an impromptu chat in Buenos Aires who knows there's nothing on the formal schedule. What we do know is that hanging over any meeting between the leaders of the United States and Russia is Robert Mueller, the special counsel who has been investigating ties between Russia and Trump and who this week showed his hand in a number of interesting ways, prompting journalist Garrett Graff to ask is Robert Muller's in game. Incite graph explores that question in wired magazine this week, and he joins me now hither Garrett by now as is prone to happen in two thousand eighteen there have been twists and turns even since you file. This story, and we're gonna get to some of those but to travel far far back in time all the way to Monday this week forgotten the dark ages. This was the day that Muller's team alleged that Paul Manafort, former Trump campaign chair had lied to the FBI. And you argue in your piece in wired that this day Monday may end up breaking among the most consequential days yet of the Muller probe. Why it's an incredibly hard, obviously to read the tea leaves of this investigation surprised us at every turn and often surprises us multiple times within a single day. But it seemed like Monday was the beginning of the end that the decision to declare Paul Manafort as non-cooperative and move forward with his sentencing appears to be perhaps a way that Muller is trying to move forward with publishing something that could. Look like the Muller report that he plans to file sometime presumably next week. A document outlining with the court all of Paul manafort's lies in crimes. So if that is one way that Mueller may be showing his hand or about to show his hand. Let me fast forward you now to yesterday, which is when longtime Trump lawyer Michael Cohen pleads guilty again this time of lying to congress about a proposed Trump Tower in Moscow. How does it that shift the picture? It's one of the most significant moves that we've seen so far from Muller because what it does is connects Donald Trump and the Trump organization directly to Russia in directly to Russian President Vladimir Putin during the course of the two thousand sixteen campaign and how so how are they now coming together? We'll what you have is Michael Cohen trying to contact in game the assistance of Ladimir Putin himself. To secure the funding and the approval for Trump Tower Moscow as late as the spring of two thousand sixteen well into the period where Donald Trump has secured the GOP nomination for president of the United States. One of the aspects of Muller strategy appears to have been he's kind of rating, whatever final report he's going to produce at the end of this as he goes, I mean, he's been producing these very detailed court filings. Exactly. And people seem to be waiting for there to be some hard back book that gets published at the end of this. That is labeled the Muller report like nine eleven commission style. Exactly. And I think most people are missing that. He is writing a lot of that report in public with every court filing where the details that he puts into these are far more than is strictly necessary for the criminal prosecution that he's attempting to pursue. So when you look at the. Totality of what? Bob Muller has published in these indictments in these plea agreements, there's a lot there. Well, it's about three hundred pages of what a Bob Muller report would look like at the end. So to your key question is Bob Muller's in game. And I think it is it's incredibly hard as I said to understand where this investigation is going day to day. But Bob Muller has to know that his investigation was under threat, potentially after the election, and after attorney general Jeff Sessions being fired. Absolutely. And that he I think appears to be ready for some rapid movement in the weeks ahead now that doesn't necessarily mean this is going to come to a quick conclusion. The prosecution's for Watergate stretched out over the course of almost a decade. But this is I think a case where George popadopoulos went to prison for his. Fourteen days sentence last Monday, another former trumpet, we should mention. Yes. And that I think by the time George popadopoulos comes out of prison. We're gonna know a lot more about this case, journalist and Muller biographer Garrett Graff Garrett. Thank you. My pleasure. So as we just heard one of the most significant developments in the Muller probe this week was President Trump's former lawyer and fix Michael Cohen pleading guilty to lying to congress about efforts to build a Trump Tower in Russia during the two thousand sixteen campaign and that effort came after decades of President Trump trying to build in Russia to be NYC's. Ilya marritz, co host the Trump Inc podcast. He joins me now to give us a more of the long view. Welcome to the program. Thanks for having me. I should say Trump Inc. Right. I have to get to Trump Inc. So we know some about Michael Cohen's work during the presidential campaign. How does this week's news ads what we already knew about Trump's efforts to build in Russia? Well, we now know because Trump's former lawyer said it in court that Trump was actively pursuing a tower in Moscow while he was campaigning for the Republican nomination for president. This is something Donald Trump has long denied what history tells us is that Trump has long wanted to put his name on a building in Moscow. So in one thousand nine hundred seven he visits the US. Czar the Soviet Union, and he talks about how they need luxury hotels in Moscow and Leningrad. He makes another trip in one thousand nine hundred ninety s doesn't get anywhere. And then in the two thousand Trump's starts to lend his name to developers around the world. And there's a there deals around Russia. There's one in Azerbaijan there's one in the Republic of Georgia which Michael Cohen helps to arrange in twenty thirteen Trump's comes to Moscow again for the Miss Universe pageant. He owns the pageant, and he says again that he's in talks with developers. And then finally we see a renewed effort in two thousand fifteen and two thousand sixteen to build in Moscow.

"So last night popadopoulos George popadopoulos appears Martha McCallum show. Hey, we can. I just one thing folks. I'm sorry. I got a lot of emails yesterday a couple from people, and I address make some people and I understand this. This show is for you. It's not for me. I already know this stuff. Some people did not like in yesterday show very, I got about four. I got a thousand emails saying you loved it, so I appreciate that too. But a couple of people did not like the fact that I went back and explain things multiple times folks. I get it. I understand, but I'm sorry, but the show may not be for you then. Okay. I do it the liberally on purpose. Not everybody follows at the same pace. I, you know what I'm saying? I. Trying to streamline it and quicken the pace on stuff. But when I repeat complicated topics, it's because not everybody thinks that lightning speed, some people need it repeated on my apologies for doing that. But it is important on complicated topics that you go back and do what what I learned in school, which is tell them what you're going to tell them, tell them and then tell them what you told them. So I'm sorry for that. But I did want to address it because I got four or five emails yesterday, and that's why I do that. Okay. Moving on popadopoulos. This is a little bit easier topic to explain that yesterday appeared on Martha McCallum last night and just drop this nuclear bomb. Now, Joe has some new fancy a- soundboard stuff. So I'm going to get right into the sound clip and Joe, you said we can stop this now. Right? All right. So keep your eye on me and it's about a two minute clip, but I'm going to stop it at a certain point. Okay, go. There wasn't Israeli diplomats named Christian Kanter who absolutely detested Trump who one day in London decided to introduce me to his so called girlfriend. I a girl named Eric Thompson who just also. Happened to be an Intel officer for Austria and a senior adviser. Alexander Downer. Now, this was in April of two thousand sixteen. I learned about the dirt from Josef Mifsud in late April two thousand sixteen. What. Did you catch that? Now if you're a regular listener to the show you to stay on the gravity of what he just said, right? This whole FBI case that they're alleging started with popadopoulos and his boozy encounter with this guy. Alexander Downer in a bar talking about dirt and emails he'd heard about from Hillary. Daddy heard from Joseph miss Soudan April. The whole case revolves around the fact that a Russian connected individual which is what the FBI is alleging approach popadopoulos in April, a guy miss sued who he just says. And that myth sued told them that the Russians had dirt on Hillary. But he just said. That he was approached before, mid sued even cop to him by someone by guy named Kanter who's connected to the Israelis. This is his words who then introduced them to Erica Thompson, who is an Australian intelligence official working with Downer. Who then connects with Downer folks destroys the whole push. Now I've been just, I'm not, I'm I read my book. This will all make sense. Now, this throws the whole time line out of whack. My book explains all of this. This throws the whole time line out of whack. The FBI time line was miffed sued approaches. Popadopoulos in April, says the Russians have dirt on Hillary popadopoulos and passes that information off to Downer in may and Downer, then contacts the, we contact the State Department, but the FBI gets wind of the information. Therefore, they think popadopoulos is a spy working with the Russians to get this dirt on Hillary. That is the FBI story. We've been told forever, but now we find out that a contacted downers this Eric Thompson had approach popadopoulos before, even amid suit meeting folks. What if I been telling you forever? This is a classic push poll setup. Classic. Classic push poll where you push information into a target. You're looking lockup. You push information to with the goal of using one of your sources to pull the information out later to make it look like the subject is guilty..

The news you missed during your summer vacation

"Been a busy week in Washington. So I did something very purposeful for the last part of the summer. I had not many of you know, I got on this show because I I was in talk radio for many years. And even though the show's been around for twenty two years, I was doing talk radio simultaneously insanity. When Los Angeles. So I was the talk radio guy. Yeah. Be in a studio talking talking on the radio show. So, but I was it was it was, you know, politics and local economy, stop, and this and that how it affects. So since I had no I got out of the local. I mean, I I still do a lot of it. But I'm not full-time. I fall fill in here and there just because it's time consuming, Pat my career in however. I said purposely at the end of the summer starting at the beginning of August. I was gonna shut off CNN Fox News MSNBC CNBC, all news stations. I was gonna listen to any news for a month. You did. And you went to Maui to start it all off. I did I went to Maui with rusty to start off because the problem is in this business. Yeah. People say all the time. How do you guys prep or always prepping because they're always listening? Okay. Turn up listening to yacht. Rock. Yacht rock on. Yeah. No. I'm not kidding. I've been listening to rock on what's the thing called. But that'd be serious or I heart. This is your rock, by the way, I heart radio. This is this was the era of rock, by the way. But like the PINA colada song, for example. Hammock rock. I got Hanukkah. A month. So I want to get back. He's back from. Perpetual, the that he never stops. Never stops. News. And he is he is appears the purveyor of political dot com. He's the author of the book the divided era, Tom, delbra Korotan. How are you, sir? Great to have you on. So I'm not kidding. When I say this the only thing I heard about in the news. I heard John McCain died, obviously because I saw that. I I saw there was some sort of a publication thing where the newspapers came out and said f you Donald Trump or something I didn't I didn't. I didn't even know what that was. But honestly that is as far as I paid attention to the news it literally twenty seven days. So catch us all up, and what's the latest? Here you go. Well, latest is that Trump announced his trade deal with Mexico. Being president. He's got this crazy notion. Show up to work every day and actually. They get to the mid and they're Evan election year. And and they're afraid to do anything. So. So. Really big deal. Markets have responded. Well, NASDAQ went to a new height. They expanded candidates to come along and complete that was in the next couple of months as well. So on business notion the idea that foster economic growth leading Cal Cal Calvin Coolidge, say of America's business, and that the government should get out of the way Trump soon. Yeah. Oh boy. There are those who would want to bring down the presidency for game. That's the competition. Matt America's in these days, and that groups Robert Mueller, and that's not going as well. Although I do. Paul manafort's wind up in jail. That is to be bad lawyer and even dumber client. Lanny Davis Clinton attorney now represents him. Is committing atrocious ethical issues and overstating the fast. I'm not sure that have that much of an impact. But here's. I don't know if anybody does as Thompson attorney, Tom, Tom double cars, a practicing attorney. Oh, good. I need help. When you. Must've got that from Russia. I was worried. Good. I just tell you about rusty nails. When he went to. Rusty males goes to Russia. And what does what do you do when you're taking some downtime and Russia can take your laptop down in the lobby just opened up your laptop and yet. You start hitting online in Russia got high act on my Email list. And you get me get a. Weird radio. It's me. It's all done with emojis. Anyway. So Tom talk about legal the legal east side of this thing. First of all, you talk about you talk about being a bad client in a bad lawyer Manafort, though on the other side of the fence. I would I would argue that if he were if he was convicted as he was and he's probably going to go to jail. This is if there was if if Mueller had anything on him he would have used it over his head to say, well, I'm going to reduce your sentence. Obviously, this means that Miller has nothing on him. Correct. Thank you. Because popadopoulos. Plea bargain calling plea bargain. Manafort, plea bargain, if anybody was gonna know anything about alleged wrongdoings Trump related to the election and would have been those three and it didn't happen. Muller's pushing ahead. Meanwhile, judge let's out terrorists in Mexico desert lets them out on bail manafort's in solitary confinement. The American people seem as they recognize this. And what is going on right now is getting hurt in the polls by these things because it's the numbers are already baked in more hot a chance to be objective. One day. The media had a chance to be objective ruined. Even the I had a chance to fall on both sides. And do what was right? They haven't done it. CBS pollen shows that the more they lean on Trump stronger. His base gaps in wine to get out and reelect Republicans just asked me, I'm still a big fan. So. What about obviously in the economy is just killing it? What about what about this talk? Is. There have been recent talking about Democrats take the takeover congress take the house impeachment. Is there is that kind of died down? Or is that sorta that's going? Fever pitch MSNBC was talking about. This is the end sort of saying, and what's interesting about that is the numbers haven't changed that much now. With this new deal with Mexico unlikely another deal with candidate before the election. Once you're gonna see economies. Dwell. Todd turn after turn off your CPA. He's so piper interview after us to call them on Skype. You can take that. That's all right. Honestly, though, the fever pitch fever pitch. Part of this thing is really interesting. Stay right there, Tom because I'm gonna keep you over here. I think for me, I think I think it's going to be interesting to find out how the false because we got you know, got elections come up enough. Sixty sixty three days,

"Of community service plus a fine of nine thousand five hundred dollars. That sentence led to these ecstatic tweets from Georgia's mum KiKi popadopoulos. It's amazing. The number of people I've learned about who I never would otherwise encounter because of the criminal cases involving people close to the president and his campaign MRs popadopoulos said this today after the sentence quote, just left courthouse. Amazing judge judge gave George two weeks of jail time, mazing God bless America. And then a few minutes later, judge moss is a fair and good man. Everything went amazing. He is great. Like Tony, the tiger great. So George popadopoulos will go to jail for a very short stint. Dude, holding a team Putin. Sign outside the courthouse didn't throw an orange jumpsuit at him which landed on him outside the courthouse. His lawyers told reporters and told the judge inside the courthouse today that George popadopoulos is lack of cooperation coudn't have hindered or obstructed the Mueller investigation nearly as much as the president of the United States had injured the investigation himself. That was an interesting line of argument. Mr. popadopoulos is lawyer also told reporters outside the courthouse today that he's pretty sure that the guy who told his client that Russia had hacked democratic emails during the campaign. He's pretty sure now that that guy must have been rushing agent. Plagued him who you think. He was working for, I haven't opinion. I don't know what the intelligence agencies opinion is. My opinion is he was playing behalf of Russia. To plan on behalf of Russia, George popadopoulos. His lawyer. That's of course about the guy who gave George popadopoulos during the campaign advanced notice that the Russian government really had stolen democratic documents and emails to try to help Donald Trump win the presidency popadopoulos. His lawyer today saying he thinks the guy who told George, that was a guy playing on behalf of Russia may be seems entirely plausible. But there's one of the, I think big thing that happened today with popadopoulos other than him getting his short prison sentence that just seems important in terms of how the popadopoulos aspect of this relates to the overall criminal case how the popadopoulos criminal part of this fits into the larger Russia scandal and the president's potential legal jeopardy. Remember how we first learned about the importance of popadopoulos here, right? Right before the new year, December, thirtieth New York Times broke this story how the Russia inquiry began a campaign aide drinks and talk of political dirt. That's how we learned in December. Thirtieth that the f. b. i. according to four sources opened its investigation in the first place into Russian interference in the presidential election and whether or not the Trump campaign colluded with it. They opened that investigation in late July twenty sixteen. That's also where we learned why they did..

"I'm telling you lay this whole thing out. Somebody reads these texts season there that it's the language, even though it's coated in some of us probably don't understand that coated in like a like a code talker way, but coated in a way to be cryptic enough that we don't get it. Somebody who does get it reads us right away and says, we got a problem here, they realized plan, b, subsection, one and two were exposed. They have to shut popadopoulos up ace app because once these texts are exposed popadopoulos can't go running around talking. Now they go back to the January interview, go, hey, I think he mentioned something about a date and it was wrong. Let's lock them up for lying. I've got it. Let's go get him. They go to the airport and lock him up the exact same day folks. He exact day that the texts are exposed and they do it after he meets with a guy overseas who suspiciously hands, ten thousand dollars this guy by the way who has suspicious connections himself. I want to know what his relationship to the FBI's was popadopoulos being setup. He comes back to the airport. Popadopoulos doesn't have the money. He leaves the money overseas smartest movie ever made. He doesn't come back with the money so they can't get him on some money trafficking nonsense or anything that a setup to they threw the kitchen sink. They had to go back to subsection wanna plan b because the Carter page thing didn't work out months later. So they throw the kitchen sink in popadopoulos someone give this guy, money overseas. Maybe he'll come back into the United States and not the claret. That's how we'll arrest them the shut him up because these texts are going to be damning. It's going to reveal plan. B, subsection wanted to popadopoulos will start talking to the press. Here comes baller, clean up at Al four, Bob Muller, please paging Bob Muller Bob or the cleanup artists. That's what he does, but Muller's update, investigate Trump. He's there to clean up the mess. Muller comes in locks up. Dopoulos threatens them with all kinds of nonsense. Hey, Papa d. you better shut up a Papa. These not going to shut up for long. He's on Jake tapper show tonight. Let's see what popadopoulos has to say tonight. Though one last thought on this because I wanna make sure you understand what's going on. Solomon leaves it again. When Sullivan says Joe, there's growing confidence, something's going to happen. What he's really saying is, here's what I know, and it's going to be my next piece next week. Okay. He knows I'm telling you the whole story. Final quote from him. There is now growing confidence at the FBI sudden pivot from popadopoulos steal was driven by several individuals all with serious political baggage. Listen to this page in stroke exchange text messages about the desire to stop Trump for becoming president steel admitted. He was desperate to keep Trump from the presidency. Ores wife worked for the firm hired by Clinton to find dirt on Trump and mccabe's wife was a democratic candidate in Virginia whose campaign got hundreds of thousands of dollars of electioneering help from Clinton ally and former Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe. Folks, you understand now why the grand jury impaneled to look into Andrew McCabe who knows all of this is so incredibly critical. Do you wonder stand now? Why. The FIS award the fourth FIS award the last one after all of this has happened. That's why this is the most important one. Do you understand Joe now? Why that exposing that fourth FIS award is so critical because it's the last one. All of this stuff is already happened. The interview of myth sued the interview. Popadopoulos the collapse of the popadopoulos case the interviews between Christopher Steele and Bruce, or this information should have been in the Pfizer. The information should have been in the Pfizer or should have been disclosed to the judge, hey, these people all have serious motivations to go after Donald Trump. Do you see now why getting Andy McCabe to flip is so important things are going on behind the scenes..

"All right. Just to wrap this up folks story number one. The Cohen. Manafort thing is a scam. The Coen plea deal pleading to campaign violation charge did not exist is only a way to rope in Trump to give the media narrative that's in on the scam. Secondly, the Manafort thing was a disaster for the prosecution. The media's painting out like it's an apocalypse Trump the entire power. The government was thrown at them out of eighteen charges. They they, they hung on ten eight of them which have convictions have nothing at all to do with Donald Trump. Third, battle plan Muller firearm, pardon everyone fire the whole team. They have nothing left. There is no reason to keep these people around anymore. They have shown no evidence of collusion at all. This is clearly a witch on, he's going to be impeached anyway. It is time to take the gloves off just like Chucky. Schumer that talked about a pardon? No. You better start talking about a pardon right now? Wait until these midterms and let's get the gloves on you. Wanna Tango, let's Tango finally, the popadopoulos story. How many people with the FBI working with contacted popadopoulos? Do they know this guy to wheel by the way the conservative treehouse guys. One final thought show have it really interesting angle on this. Have an update, one of their pieces today. Since initially posting the setup for the July twenty seven sting FBI operation. It's popadopoulos a few more important research details of surface. Now I can't confirm this. I'm just reading you there reporting because I'm not even though the name is rather unique. We're still not sure. It's the same guy. Charleston will. The guy who reached out to popadopoulos everybody's always reaching out the guys most popular Papa. Everybody loves puppet. This'll and ultimately gave popadopoulos ten thousand dollars in cash. Was a previous intelligence asset of the CIA FBI. Wow, they have a link to a WikiLeaks cable from two thousand six indicating that too will may have been passing information of the pets. Now, again, I I'm not prepared at the moment this even though it's a unique name to say it's exact same guy. I'm just saying that that's an interesting little side note. Papa dizzle seems to have been the target of an elaborate scheme of people working with the FBI that the FBI ironically, the scheme and all the people they have approaching popadopoulos is the reason they're giving for not disclosing what they did. We got to protect sources and methods. That's the point. Joe, who is the sources you use to reach out the pop diesel. And it also explains the PC arrests shows up at the airport, doesn't have the money. Oh, what do we do now? We thought we had, you can call back. You may say, well, if they didn't show up, they didn't know he was going to have the ten thousand dollars. How did they draft the Warren up? I'll bet what happened. What you can do in the federal system folks finally is you can have a draft warrant ready to go. Assuming let's say he comes back in, you got gonna swear to it because obviously be lying. It hasn't happened yet, but let's say, I think Joe is gonna come back with ten thousand dollars to the airport and undeclared you draft it. You have it ready to go at the USA and if he in fact, does it you? Okay process. It will come back and swear to it, right? I can almost guarantee you that what happened? That's what happened. Papa d. shows up without the ten cave like, oh my gosh, what do we do now? We're going to have to make a probable cause arrest on what we don't have anything that's interview home. All of a sudden he makes a misstep on when he met Masud PCS lying to the FBI. What is Kim. Fightback folks. You have been granted a golden opportunity. Outside of our families and our jobs in our communities to give our lives a higher meaning. When it comes to this political fight, it's not pretty again. There are no saints in this. They're only levels of centers, but I absolutely no, we, we're on the right side of this. Jump back on the ship. Not off. I'll see you tomorrow. "She thinks she does homework. She's one of these liberal intellectual elites who doesn't do any background and shoe leather work. On the case, she has a bunch of producers talking in a rear and she thinks she's got a gem on popadopoulos. Oh my gosh. There was a discovery motion popadopoulos. What does this mean? He was a space alien working for Trump. No silly. What it likely means is stroke has been fired. They now have evidence that Schroeck was corrupt, that stroke likely change the three, oh, two's the three. Oh, to the interview summaries, he was probably involved in the popadopoulos investigation, and there may be some alteration, or let's say clever wording of the three, oh twos to make it seem that popadopoulos was in fact a criminal when popadopoulos was the victim of a setup operation the entire time. Now, there are one of two scenarios to be fair here. I'm I'm highly suspicious of the second one. Okay. Let me just put that out there, but I want to give you both sides because Matt Allen has no idea what she's talking about. Scenario. Number one is Muller scared right now, Muller realizes that George popadopoulos is attorney and George or onto something that George knows. He's been framed the now. He knows this is a setup that the lying to the FBI is charged. The one thousand one charge. He's accused of remember, that's all he's accused them. He's not accused of conspiracy. He's accused of lying to the FBI popadopoulos. His team has probably come to the realization now that they charged him with this crime back in the Tober November time period of last year that they charged him with this crime to shut him up to cover what Joe to cover. The fact that popadopoulos was framed mid sued was not an agent of the Russian federation. He was working with friendly's to set up the Trump team. Muller is now desperate to hide this because Muller's goal is to save the DOJ or the FBI and the FBI I should say. He needs to hide the evidence of strokes involvement in this stroke being the. What does that from Ghostbusters the key master, the gatekeeper, are you the key master that that stroke is the key master. He needs to hide that, and he needs to hide the fact that this was a government frame job the whole time. Now option number two, which I find highly unlikely if not ridiculous, but I'm sure it's floating out there. Is that Muller has uncovered the entire scam. Which he has. He will let me that's. I shouldn't say option to produce these. He has uncovered the, there's no doubt my mother knows what's going on. Oh, yeah. Option number two is he's cover uncovered the scam and is actively working to prosecute the scam folks. I don't believe that. I don't believe that, and I don't believe it based on the fact that he charged allowed popadopoulos to be charged in the first place. If think about it, think this through. If so, let's call him Joe. The Muller good guy versus Muller bad guy approach. Okita I, I firmly believe Muller's the bad guy in this. He sat back and authorize the prosecution of George popadopoulos knowing the entire time. It was a scam, and if people say, oh, well, maybe he was doing it to work with pop up. No, you don't charge someone with a crime. Then you dismiss you'd file a complaint you this. I worked in federal law enforcement. Here's what you do. You file a complaint against the bad guy. He cooperates if the cooperation is good enough, this miss the complaint. That's not how this works. I actually did this for a living for twelve years. There's no evidence at all that Muller's a good guy. He would not have charged popadopoulos. But there is a theory out there that he's uncovered the entire scheme again, which he has put that he's using this to go after. Then all of these bad players in the Justice department to ladies and gentlemen, if that feary comes to fruition, I will happily report it on the show. We will be a good day, not a bad day. I don't want to be right..

"Supreme court has said that yes the president can be bothered by and it's done it twice once in the nixon case where it said he could have to return documents in response to a subpoena and then again in the clinton situation where he had to come in to a civil lawsuit so if he can be bothered by a civil lawsuit and responding in a criminal case with subpoenas for documents then why not have him be subject to criminal investigation and i believe he could also be indicted that was an issue we faced in watergate leandra ski who was the special prosecutor at the time thought that the correct way to proceed politically was to do an impeachment and to turn over a report to congress but i have to say that in the context then congress was already investigating impeachment congress was by partisan operation then and we didn't feel like we were giving our information for a roadmap to impeachment to a group that would do nothing with it right now or use it to investigation which is what's happened in some cases exactly let me ask you about flynn just curious about the sort of the blocking and tackling this i mean when you've got someone that's cooperating and they've pleaded what's what is that window like where you're waiting the sentence them like what's going on behind the scenes typically in that conversation well it's interesting i think the easiest way to understand it is to analogize george popadopoulos and michael flynn both pled guilty to cooperation agreements now the government is going forward with george popadopoulos sentencing right and they're delaying michael flynn sentencing the most logical and usual explanation for that is that george popadopoulos is usefulness as a cooperating witness has expired or has exhausted but michael flynn's has not and when i was a prosecutor i had a cooperator who i was relying on to charge someone that meant that i was relying on him to also potentially testify at a trial against that person and i would put off the sentencing until after that trial so one hand that's why they're doing this but on the other hand the notion that flayed is pushing for an expedited sensing and the government is agreeing to do an expedited sentencing whenever they're ready is a much more abbreviated timeframe that you expect i i would think would be a year from now interesting you'll on banks and daniel goldin thank you both at the break want to guess how many white nationalist running republicans this fall because there is more than one that is next.
