"Your composure. Gave chase to the guy and took him into custody and took him into custody without Without a lot of fanfare right with without a lot of fanfare she. She was just amazing in that kind of stuff. I tell you what. I am always going to be the biggest cheerleader for getting more women into policing because i think they are a key to the success of policing in this country and we have to do better than the nationwide average of like twelve percent. We know women in law enforcement. We gotta do way out of the method. We gotta go out there. And we got to recruit and we have to make our organizations more conducive to women's success in our workplace. And i think that that's another area of of possible opportunity of of opportunity and improvement. Yeah no i. I definitely agree with you. i do plan to reach out to a woman a former chief of police in newark. I forget her name out the top ahead but she talked a lot about this twelve percent as you mentioned the national average And then i think in the next twenty thirty years. It's only right going to rise estimate the rise of the thirty percent or something like that which is which is huge. What we gotta get there and You know. I think. I think policing definitely be a lot better for if we can have those Officers on the line. There's a new campaign aimed at bringing attention. And in reaching that goal of thirty percent in. I am fully behind it It's it's a new campaign and it's it's well worth our while in our attention to make it happen. I think it's important. I think it's important. Have you met anyone who Has agreed or disagreed with the verdict. In other words they thought that Chauvin should should have been found innocent or guilty. Have you have you heard anyone. No i have not personally met anyone who who has expressed a an opinion that sided with sharon's actions of course on social media you know there are advocates for for the actions that chauvin took and of course there's there's always the the demonization of of the victim in these cases you know and we've seen it over and over the course of our history I think I think that's Just it's it's reprehensible you know. I don't believe in that i think that I think that it is just sad. That Tragic in murderous that. He the george floyd died that way and it shouldn't happen anybody in a lymphocyte again that you know our profession should work day in and day out to to prevent that from happening to prevent cultures that allow that to happen in..

"I think that every day day in and day out you know an organization as such as a police department are talking and living their values the things that they care the honor the integrity. The accountability the transparency. That that you believe in something that is greater than yourself and that you walk the talk day in and day out when you talk to the members of communities across the country you know they want a good policing right. They want honorable. Just police officers. That will take care of them. And in the words of phil floyd that when police are called they are not the problem. Right that when police are called The the the solution that they help communities. I think those values between the communities and and and many police officers around the country. I think those things are are part and parcel to what things and makes communities safer right. they working together and not apart not going to their respective corners in their beliefs. But they're working together in order to enhance and make better Public and community safety. Yeah i definitely agree with you. I remember so many times being a police officer and when someone would call nine one and we would get there. And i can remember. I'm sure that you in your ten years patrol remember other officers getting there and making the situation worse yes and it just it. Just bother misinterpreted. Just just tell them. Hey listen go go run skies registration. Just you know. Go get them away. Just because you're making your stoking up everything. So that was one of my biggest problems in. I loved it. When i became a sergeant and lieutenant get get out of here. We're all set. Take you go over there. Go run guys straight. go to this. Go look for evidence and we'll take care of this because you were just a problem. You know i want to take one hundred there. There are so many guys out there every day right now. This moment that are that are just like you described like you. That have a really good sense of intuition right. They're the ones that have that emotional quotient to be able to redistribution in rita person. I can remember just like you described right. I mean i'm a tall guy and back in the day..

"What is so different about about this particular incident know. That's a great question. And i'll tell you that know like i said earlier. I'm no. I'm no police savant. I'm just. I'm just curious about policing history. And so when i look back on our history and and the issues that we had you know you look at a a multitude of police commissioner reports that go back to nineteen twenty nine. The worker sham commission that outlined the some of these issues that we're seeing today and you know followed by the kerner commission in nineteen sixty seven and then a whole series of others. That happened nap in overton. Christopher commissioned in nineteen ninety-one Dealing with rodney king And then of course prisoner obama's twenty-first-century task force on policing in two thousand fourteen and you're right. There was video in in the rodney king case. There was video in the michael knol. There wasn't video in the michael brown case. But we we've had You know. Other instances of police misconduct that had been captured on video cell. Phone video security camera video officers body camera video and And you're right it did it didn't It didn't take it to the next level the way they did after george. Floyd think that. I think that one of the things that impacted me and in conversations with with family and friends about george floyd had to do with the fact that you know as we learned now it was nine and a half minutes That that he suffered in end the fact that we literally saw somebody's life extinguished before our is in the moments that he was alive and pleading until until he stopped breathing that i think that that struck a nerve. You know. I think as If you think about this i think is human beings you know we are really willing many people right not everyone but i think many people are really willing to walk into a theater and watch a an action movie. Where you know. There's weapons are being fired and people are being shot. And there's a lot of mayhem occurring in. We're entertained right. We are entertained by it. I think there's something in the back of reminded says this is a movie. It's not real and we can just continue to watch it. we're okay with it. Some folks really internalize what they're seeing and they can't even walk into a movie like that but many many do i mean it's obviously it's a big entertainment industry.

Police Respond To Active Shooter Reports in Colorado

"Police presence was at the scene of an active shooter situation at a grocery store in Boulder this afternoon, the latest from ABC News. Is it all over. It's not confirmed. What is evident is this was another mass shooting at a supermarket this time in Boulder, Colorado a few hours ago. It seems that the lack of intense police action at the store right now Indicates a son of active danger anymore. It's all blocked off a shooting. Police say that started in the parking lot a few hours ago, the shooter moving into the store. Police confirmed several victims. Do not confirm if anybody's dead or an exact number, but earlier on the police radio chatter recorded by broadcast if I What's the officers? Shaken witnesses? No charges recommended for officer who shot Ashli Babbitt during Capitol riot

"Investigation into the fatal shooting of a protester during the January 6 capital riots has been completed. The capital officer has not been charged. The investigation found the shooting was quote an appropriate use of force. Remember unauthorized shot the 35 year old Air Force veteran Ashley Babbitt. She was trying to climb through a shattered window to reach the House chamber and she was gunned down. Um Listen, I'll be the bad guy here. I'm okay with that shooting. Now. I don't want anybody to die. Let's not get it twisted. But if you breach the capital where the most powerful people in the world are in there having some sort of session, you can't be shocked when something bad happens to you. There's a reason why these senators have security detail, right? It's Z the same thing, man with the police action shooting in any way, shape or form like across the country. Some of these police action shootings where People aren't complying. People aren't putting their hands up. People like kind of reach back into the car for something and the police are like, Look, I've got a gun. Don't you move and they don't comply. I don't think they deserved to die. But Give the chances increase exponentially. When you don't hate what the officer is saying, and she was unarmed, correct, Correct, But you're breaking into the nation's capital. You're breaking windows where members of the Congress could be still doing telling you man. The riots throughout this country every single night for weeks on end, police precincts burned to the ground in cities. If a police officer would have killed somebody trying to get into a precinct that was unarmed. There would be more rights and more demonstrations and more protests in that person's name would probably be on the back of professional athletes jersey If Ashley Babbitt were African American, Do you think you'd see the same thing? Because I do. Well, I think this is all e mean. You notice how the memorial for the Capitol police officers and you know the wall of thank you cards and that we support the Capitol police and thank you for doing your duty. Uh okay. That's fine. I'm glad there was support for the police officers and they were heroes there and some died. Um, but I didn't see the same outpouring. Of support for police officers that were defending cities across the nation. Some in some cases, they were hampered hands tied behind their backs, not getting the support they needed from from local administration running the show, including Indianapolis, So it's almost like certain sections of this Country as well as national media outlets. They're willing to say, OK, they got what they deserved when they think it's trump supporters. Yes, but when its members of the community or members of the Black lives matter movement, then it's a completely different ball game. It's a double standard. It's there. You're absolutely right. I wish you would have died. I wish you would have broken through that wall. I know the officers on the other side had no clue it was coming through, and they warned him. And I again I don't think she deserved to die. She was unarmed, but man, the chances of something very bad happening. Increase. I don't know what the percentage is a lot of the what the scientific number would be. But I would say something bad, including dying. If you don't comply with the police officer, you I mean, it's up in the air at that point, man, it's It's a coin flip whether you're coming out of there alive or not, If you don't comply.

"The one George on the line from Toronto. Hello, George. That I pushed the button yet. No, I didn't. Sorry, George. Now you're sure Chief highly open defense for a very long time. I just have a quick question. I let's say a week I wanted to drop something in Microsoft paint. That was, for example, four inches by two inches, just a simple and I wanted it to print it. On a piece of paper, exactly four inches and and two inch a rectangle. Printed out right? What I achieved the correct dimensions because I print all sorts of shapes lessons himself threat, So this is actually a surprisingly complex. Problem. Uh, Yeah, she the the size of the image on the screen is really determined by the resolution of the screen. Uh, you know, make dots horizontally and vertically. There are and the resolution of the image you're drawing, and it could be four by four on the screen. But then when you print the resolution of the printer will be different, won't it? Because it doesn't It's your screen is, you know typically around 72 dots per inch, but it could be different. Your printer might be 300 dots Bridge so you could see if you if you do a four by four images, 72. Dots per inch and then printed a 300 dots per inch is gonna be a lot smaller. It's like every four by four. So what you want to do? In most cases, you can actually do this in the print driver. So when you when you launch your print driver police action in Toronto when you launch you, it's the new C s I Toronto When you launch your Print driver. There is often in you might have to go. You know a lot of times, people just print they press, you know, command P control P. It's printing and they just go okay? And that's it. But if you go into the settings in your print driver, you're gonna want to look for something like Wonder one or Actual size. So you know what? What is that print the shape based on what the whole piece of paper would be like like I could print print 1/5 the size the ends up printing or let's say I had your logo. And I can download your local, for example. And I wanted it to print it any particular dimension. Can't you do that through the stop? Otherwise? What? I noticed it wants the president entire page it would count. Image. Yeah, images and just the image count the entire I just want the particular image actually be a particular size. I understand exactly what you want. It's also very, very challenging. You could do some math. One thing you could do is you could check. Well, what is my screen resolution? And you could find that out by looking at the at the screen driver and what you know the horizontal and vertical is and then three traitors of the correct fight. Imprint, toe print versus like if you want to make a little tiny box. Well, you specify, Okay. You specify that in the three D design program, you could say this is three inches tall. The problem is really that you're using Microsoft paint, which has no way to say This is a four by four inch by four inch anything if you could give me any other suggestion of something back in Princess and most almost almost any other program will let you do this photo shopped, for instance, Photoshopped elements Me see what's it? What's what's a free program he could use to do this? You can do it by hand by calculating the dot sprints. Let's say it's 96. Dots per entry is pretty common on on a screen and then okay 96 dots per inch 96 Times four. And then paint in that resolution. Right and then print in that resolution. Or if you find out all my printer's doing, 200 dots branch you're gonna have to do 200 aspirins. You're gonna have to do a calculation and you'll be doing it larger on the screen. So that it will be when you printed 200 dots per inch. It'll do it right. There are other programs I would look at. There's paint three D might do it Earth and view which is free these air to free programs. I r f a N view. Might do it. Paint dot net. I think you can specify it and inches. Paint dot net. So, um, though, that's that's the trick. It's It's a limitation of M s paint that you can't just say I want a four inch by four inch, uh, drawing that I can print it four by four. But because this is common. Lot of programs will do that. And I could said you could do it by hand. Just doing a little math. You've got to get the Esso basically. So let's let's say your printer's $200 bridge and your screen is 96 dots per inch. Roughly speaking, you would do eight by eight on the screen eight inches by eight inches, so that you could print it at $200 printed. It would come out four by four. It's a little off because it's not 100 pixels per inch is 96. But you get the idea. Yeah. Okay. One quick question. Could I ask you something? Quick? Sure. With a USB drive. Is there a way to protect the files? In case I lose this thing out of my pocket? Oh, yes. So if you lose, Okay, So what you wanna do is encrypted. Look at look for free program called Vera Crypt. V R A C R Y P T. It will allow you to encrypt the entire USB keys called full disk encryption so that you have to enter a password to open it and see it. And that way if you lose it, and it's a very, very strong encryption algorithm. Nobody will be able to read Chris Marquart, our photo guy coming up. Maybe he can solve this four by four problem next..

Seattle police accused of violating court order on crowd control methods

"And and filing filing a a contempt contempt of of court court allegation allegation against against the the city city of of Seattle. Seattle. They They argue argue police have been violated a federal judge's ruling when it comes to the use of non lethal crowd control methods against protesters. More from Kemal's Matt Markovich. During an August vigil held streetside for summer, Taylor. Protesters say police tactics violated a federal judge's court order. There was no violence. There was no nobody's damaging anything. There was no spray paint anywhere. We were having a peaceful vigil, but it turned ugly. As have many demonstrations over the last several weeks, declaring it a riot doesn't change the rules here. Now the American Civil Liberties Union and others have filed a contempt of court lawsuit against the city, its second one this time involving police actions at the vigil and three other demonstrations, including the one where an officer rolled his bike over a man's head. We're really asking just Jones to clarify what is allowed and what isn't allowed under that order because that order is still in effect. But we still see protestors protestors being hurt every single day. Federal Judge Richard Jones ruled in June that the city could use pepper spray blast balls under limited circumstances when it wass necessary, reasonable proportional and targeted to a specific, imminent threat. Police Body Cam Footage Is Being Used For Surveillance, Activists Say

"So there are big differences in the police reform bills that Republicans and Democrats are pushing in Congress. One thing they do share in common is more money for local police departments that promised to use body worn cameras. But some activists say that police departments are inappropriately using these cameras for surveillance rather than accountability purposes. Member station. Cage's easy in Phoenix. Heather van Block, Lind reports. Cleveland Ali is an advocate for indigenous sacred sites and a self described anarchist and peaceful protester. But police and Flagstaff didn't agree at an event a couple of years ago into 1018 the same day that the city of Flagstaff formally announced there Indigenous Peoples Day celebration, which actually has been contentious for years. Myself on DH. 40 people rallied in downtown Flagstaff. The rally lasted a few hours, with protesters marching through downtown, holding signs and chanting. Police walked alongside keeping roadways clear for traffic. Everybody went home. There were no arrests until three weeks after the event when police brought in Manali in about 10 others on charges of obstructing the public thoroughfare. Based on footage from body camps. Sonali says police actions against his group are not about public safety, but politically motivated. We're fighting on the grounds that this is an act of state repression, basically that you know they're trying to chill descent. Undermined ascent and criminalize it. Dave Moss with the Electronic Frontier Foundation says. Police warned body cams have turned law enforcement into a surveillance network. Police departments are making decisions about surveillance technology at parties and hotel rooms in closed door meetings with salespeople with marketers from tech companies who are trying to tell them about all the miracles of the technology, but not telling them about any of the risks. And we need a process where the public is engaged, elected representative. They're engaged and it's not just a sales situation. He says. Police should not record footage during First Amendment activities like journalists at work or during a religious practice or any and all protests. Ultimately, if we're trying to address police accountability if we're trying to address racism, Layering on surveillance is not going to help that. It's going to exacerbate it. But when Seattle police said they turned off their body cams during so called First Amendment events, protesters there accused them of trying to hide evidence of excessive force or abuse. It's not a new debate. Concerns about how Bodycam footage can and should be used are as old as the cameras themselves. Some police say surveillance cuts both ways. Officers can have bodycam footage is used as evidence against them, and just like video can lead to officers being arrested or dismissed for bad behavior. It can also exonerate them. Right now. Policies on body camera use very widely. There's no federal standard bills from both parties currently before Congress can't mandate, local police departments use body cameras. But only say they must if they use new federal funds to buy the

"The first season of welcome back Kotter it looks like it was jury read the very end of the first season right right after the first season was when that movie was released so I don't know who won the bed but you talk about during the break I do want to get into the article you wrote it W. I. B. C. dot com in regards to the police action shooting of John reed before we get to that are you covered the governor's press conference earlier today anything of note we need to take away from that I'm a couple of things there was a story but not too long ago in an apple store the talked about the the universe of Washington and then super health metrics had said Hey we stay start opening the back up again if you like these massive increase and covert nineteen deaths it was print they projected like nine hundred back in April I'm sorry the maypole or the March now it's more like six thousand it's over like you know try to reconcile how do you guys get your numbers versus their numbers and so we had an interesting conversation I would suppose a little bit later today also while we talk about because sort of the state finances with all the go as economic activity comes to a halt was different in a surplus no we just got to start it looks about me post also was also the back kind of dissecting everything about it was actually it was a lot of information they nothing earth shattering chattering but things very useful obviously everybody's really waiting for next week as Indiana starts to open back up again a number different places his Excellency the governor was very mean to those people who went on his lawn and wanted jobs a couple weeks ago did he condemned the protesters yesterday it's a sixty second in Michigan over the us on read incident that question did not come up so convenient go it's another good use of the personal acid when I saw the code nineteen data and the budgets of okay that takes her know where the protests will still be here next he didn't need a question last time to stay with the patriots everyone I know actually I was wrong there was no that was me who passed so he was he was it was oddly silent over the protesters for for Sean read that that's interesting there you go so now that we've got the cat out of the bag here that's how that would work for play let's get right into it you are already pretty controversial article at W. I. B. C. dot com sharing your thoughts on what happened to Sean Reid for those who might not have had a chance to see it yet please break down what was in your article international for the job Sean read was when when your man that in apple's police on a high speed chase on I. sixty five and run thirtieth street you know gets often he's being followed by the X. the police chief and deputy police chief they broke off the chase but he gets off on Michigan road gets six second street still high speeds get out the car runs get stay and all this is on Facebook live NEC in Facebook live the whole thing he gets stays the taser does not not come out completely or in or mobilize them he reaches for going to court I am PT he fires a couple shots of police and police to what happens when you fire shots then they tend to return fire into being dead killed and then the the melee ensues with no misinformation here is going to put others know about our black men being shot by law enforcement please note of the officer who shot him was African American so that so the narrative about a white police officer shooting unarmed black man that doesn't work this go around Andre Carson put out a tweet and basically made it sound like this racial issue and black people were being hunted for sport that's the take away from the tweet that Andre Carson put out that I had known then that would be wrong and not by wish once again and and kind of goes to the point of a color global pardon was which is before people start jumping the gun pardon the expression try to get all the facts first meet me mad at me and you can whatever motions that you want that's fine but the very least before you start going to social media or talking about it try to get as many of the facts first as you can because there's a lot of misinformation running around and I just had to kind of clear this all up well for example he was able to wipe the cops picking up whatever the case then well well they were really chasing the sun was reckless driving going he was doing ninety like doing ninety and what is happening is I found out that Mr Reid John Reid had some outstanding warrants one in Marion County and a couple down in Texas I'm and then the Texas one was actually a gun charge like how the hell do you get a warrant for a gun in Texas they give you one when your credit has said of the liquor yeah like we have like the Simpsons or whatever and so isn't there that end so obviously because got a warrant the concert you if they don't pull over immediately the other project partners to try to try to get away Abdul it it's obviously it's an African American police officer involved in in the the shooting and yet it seems like there are so many people who are so quick to condemn the police whether it's I am PT or any police department when these things happen why do so many in the African American community the police so much I can be sure of that I do not believe the majority African or he will hate the police I totally completely I will not subscribe to that theory I don't think it's a majority no no no I'm I think you're confusing majority with a with a loud minority I think there's a difference between them but the majority of people who you know because after medics aftermarket apple sure like to be a victim of crime the rest of population so actually for the most part delight the police don't tell the whole server protecting I think what you do five is a a lot of minority of that segment of population without a bunch of with political agendas despite never had any patience for the black lives matters movement because when the six one eight year old young but what was killed us long ago or the sixteen year old girl was also killed after Bob that kind of party thing was going over thirty in Arlington no there were no marches or no protests there were there was basically crickets and saw black lives matter mean shouldn't these black lives matter but with a black life is shot by someone wearing a blue uniform now we have a right now in protest that I've always had a problem or even in uniform I didn't hear black lives matter come out one officer brand lease lost her life to a bullet from another black male yeah exactly so once again it's it's and that's part of what I put a sort of point out in my column the other thing too is once again my friends who are criminal defense attorneys will always tell you that one thing that will help them in front of a jury is to have a what's called what we call the business a sympathetic defendant in other words this is why when Jason hammer gets arrested I'm gonna clean them all out of taking over Leon Taylor and put in a nice suit and the whole nine yards it may be presentable unfortunately in this case right here this this is the wrong to me this is the wrong person for the for the activist crowd like this going to be your banner you guys got the wrong guy you know you got the outstanding warrants no you said you did have a gun yes he did well there's there's ample footage on Facebook right now with him actually no brandishing the weapon showing off the weapon I want the backs of firing the weapon and it's a distinctive weapon like one of the things we talked about yesterday was let's just say you buy into the conspiracy theory that the police plant guns on black people all the time do you think they have a lot of orange clip long handle guns just laying in the trunk exactly and most of my friends I. P. which has like first of all we have time yeah we we have so much other stuff to do it yes it was a big guy conspiracy yes we purposely follow him we purposely knew who he was we purposely tasted we purposely planted the gun and purposely made on fire by the way the sizes of the of the two that really annoy the hell out of me everybody Bloomberg really date myself here on Facebook like forget Ironside and Columbo because unlike no ice and Matlock like when I saw the I counted fifteen shots and right everybody's was an eyewitness on that shaky camera video and they saw everything perfectly everybody last week was either constitutional scholar Alan this is now like a girlfriend's a detective for you pointed this out to our state house happenings podcast there's nothing police officers hate more than paperwork I nothing generates more paperwork that is uniquely second shooting exactly and and and chief of Taylor all right Taylor said it best today in another interview I heard him do which is like look like no officer in his in his right mind gets up in the morning and with the with the thought of idea Hey who can I go shoot today no officer doesn't your dad was in law enforcement yeah you should have given more like Hey rob okay rob here's your here's a bit of a so it's got to go to some people but here's the other thing people don't realize and they teach law enforcement this if you're thinking about pulling your weapon you're too late right it's an instinctive thing where you have a split second reaction any thought to make and it is such a it is such a crisis point in your life I I would hope that no one would ever have to go through that and then the other thing too is what was really disturbing and I don't know if the video is still out there lots of it's been kinda taken down sort of put into evidence but as mystery was a leading cops on a high speed chase you can see if you can see some of the comments on the phone talking to without any sort of Facebook live stream I was set up all the comments are made only two people said you need to stop turn yourself and everybody else in back tomorrow like yep you can go and do what you do it right a couple girls okay when you get done come over here I'm like what the world still held a host I cannot I was get my hair shaved all Abdul Hakeem Shahbaz joining us in studio we wrote a similar article I think we share the same point of view on this on W. I. B. C. dot com but the hate mail that I get told me that I don't understand the black community you don't know what this is about rabble rabble rabble I think you got my hate mail by mistake say you are a black man who shares the same point of view that I do here what's it like when you get hate messages from the black community well I look like this for for every one hate message I get there I'll use like nine or ten people say thank you for saying what you say I mean I expect them to do this all my adult life so I I nort I always love it when I get called an uncle Tom what one local but my name's Tom by the way to read the book he was actually kind of a hero and then it really does pay me to say this to complement of but it really is a fabulous piece and everyone should read it's great what's coming up on a big show this weekend we talked a good friend already trousers you can kind of put all this in perspective are we spoke to merry kind of pressure also Ryan Mears before all this happened but it gives a pretty good insight on what's going on with respect to the criminal justice system cover nineteen and I don't know if I can find it on my interview with.

"You. Thank you. That's who the heck. Is goodbye lonesome. Hello, baby. Those are the lonesome strangers. That's who that is an alternative music. They're mixing it up on Friday with a whole bunch of different kinds of music told you before the break that eighteen people were murdered in eighteen hours in Tijuana's. Don't go down there and buy a poncho. Okay. I know Frank. Zappa was somewhat scolding you for having a Sears poncho. But don't because you get a real poncho down there. But don't do it. I don't want to talk about that. Don't talk about this. Let's see. Yeah. I'll talk about this. Well, first of all, it's talk about this. Do you know that right now Al Qaeda al-qaeda is regrouping in Syria. That's never going to stop ever. In fact, I'm looking at a headline and Breitbart right now, Al Qaeda linked group. That's al-qaeda games. That's Islamic state. Whatever it's all look, man. It's Islam got cuddle group gains ground in Syria on Turkey and Russia's watch. Oh, I don't know if this is some kind of a case to be made that we should stay there. But no get out. You know? We're going to look at this as we're going to hold back Islam of fascism, but I mean, really fight to to knock down Islamic fascism. Boom end of story, then maybe you could find a case to stay all over the world knocked down fascist. We're doing that. Anyway. But the point I'm making is wouldn't you want knock down Islam in your own country to start with because call it can be benign over here for right now. But once they hit a certain threshold population wise banana anymore, then they start the whole thing about the Crohn's zone away to live, da, da da. You gotta father Kreiner else from cut your head off, blah, blah, blah. You get the point. You are if you're part of we the thinking you can't make excuses for that. This is not inordinate inordinate over the top language in salting somebody. This is a fact it's a called. It's a cult and right now. They're making the case here in Breitbart. Somebody is that what's the name here Edwin Mora that al-qaeda's on the rise. And we just heard a new thing in the news about there's they're trying to assure. That the Kurds will be protected because the courage looked at as a terrorist group to the Turkey. Turkish the Turkish wanna kill the Kurds. This is a cluster of just humongous proportion and beef starts with an F. It's insane. That were in this to begin with, you know, why we're in this. Let me explain it. One more time I've only done this about one hundred thousand now I'm up to the challenge June at one more time when we went into Afghanistan, I mean, the very first foray into Afghanistan after we determined that Osama bin Laden need to be killed. We should have gone in and killed them and wasted everybody associated with them and pretty much about a third of Pakistan just made a glass glass tactical nukes to whole nine yards. No, no. I know it's crazy. Dental never wanna a rabbit shoot up yet. A bunch of suits micromanaging, some type of police action underbush next thing, you know. We're there for what? Now. One hundred twenty years what at Rudyard Kipling say Afghanistan is we're empires. Go to die something like that civilizations. Go to die as interested in that. That's it. I'd say right now, Donald Trump got it. Right. Donald Trump's the only one who's actually talking like this. He's saying the same thing about the Middle East. It's sand. It's death. It's kind of like the. What's his name, Nara? Sam kennison comedy routine about what was it Somalia. Well, they never trying to feed the kids in Somalia. Remember that? Extermination than going on Bob Geldof raising money. That's good. That's worthwhile project. But it was Ethiopia. And you know, when you're doing that, you gotta make sure that the money gets to the kids. You don't wanna wear Jude Judas, priest shirts and with flies all over their face. And they don't get any money or food. And I you know, regardless of what you do. That's exactly what happened with Geldof rip off. He didn't keep the money. Bob geldof. God bless him. He's nutcase politically. But he was trying to do good thing. All that money went to the political intelligence and the military man, they clean up on that one. Now, those kids we're still eating salmon. Anyway, Sam kennison was screaming if you're starving to death. It's because you're in an area. It's saying there's no food. It's sad. It was kind of funny the way he did it, but you have to see him to to get the whole thing. But that's what's happening all over there. Why would we wanna be there in a gazillion years other than to glass people that need to be glass? That's it. That's it by an armchair general gas. What the the civilian runs the military? So you look at it as a civilian to say these guys over here taking out send the military in Donald Trump's showed me when it gets that. So far. In my recollection of presidents, all the other presidents that in my my lifetime have been nothing more than orchestrators of police action. And I and I go all the way back to Harry Truman. I I was just a very young shaver back then. But that was it. It was it's it's been I can Kennedy got us into Vietnam in a police action Lyndon Johnson kept it going forward in a police action. Oh, don't worry. We're not gonna win here. Now, we'll just keep going to the police action. And then of course, you get the more cynical, which I think they know what they're talking about a bunch of globalist running the show they're selling armament Megan of fortune. They want to keep the police action going. He's starting to figure this out yet. So. You see headlines like Al Qaeda group gains ground in Syria. Who cares? And I know. Well, we'd rather fight them over there than here. Oh, yeah. We're really going to fight them. If we're not it doesn't make any difference. We'll probably we're gonna fight him here. Anyway, you know that right. We we are going to end up fighting them here. Anyway, there's no way out of it. See that up on Breitbart. I it's just pisses me off that we keep arguing about the same old crap. And it's my cynical. I am I more ginned up the normal. I don't think so I'm just assessing the situation right now. I'm talking about Al Qaeda Syria getting out we shouldn't be friends with Turkey universe place and always have strategic bases over there. But the Turkish are straight up evil there. The next the next iteration of the Ottoman empire. They are vestiges of they are the Ottoman empire. Now, the whole thing about Michigan, and maybe more pissed off on the radio and the whole political thing. I I would love somebody to convince me I picture me to desk. One of those memes were convinced me because my position is is that it is pretty much all for not politically speaking in Michigan. I can't think of anything that's going to happen in Michigan. That is going to change over the next. I'd say eight years..

"They feel forced to contribute to the racial disproportion of the criminal system that in essence because they've been assigned to communities of color that they have to issues I take that they have to engage in arrests. Even when some other police action or some other intervention might be more appropriate, and it is a distortion of the police function. Police discretion is an extraordinarily important resource in the criminal system. We rely on police discretion to advance public safety to make sure people are treated fairly, and when we put pressure on police officers to produce arrest citations and low level arrests when they might not otherwise exercise their discretion that way, we were really interfering with a with a key aspect of the system's integrity in your book. You write that you were a federal public defender in Baltimore from two thousand to two thousand three and one of the things you. Learned from the people you represented there was that. There was a very messy calculation of punishment trying to decide like whether to plead guilty or pay a fine. Or, you know, give us a sense of what that calculation of punishment is when you're facing a misdemeanor charge, and you don't have much money. I learned an enormous amount from the people that I represented in Baltimore listening to their stories meeting them and their families and hearing how they grappled with the challenges of facing a low level misdemeanor charge. And I learned that often the calculus of punishment doesn't necessarily shake out the way, you would think there might be an assumption, for example that people would avoid jail at any cost and yet for me.
