"Close. Welcome back our number two instigators. W gr 5 50 MSG, um, offseason conversations training camp Starting. I don't even know if a training camp schedules actually said, is it? I'm assuming it's somewhere in the The 20th is a Monday. So somewhere in that week, I would imagine normal time would be Late like September 16 17 18 area. Yeah, well, the first preseason game is under 28. But Floyd Columbus, So backtrack dad a week. Usually you have about a week of skating before the first preseason, so I would think it would start around the 21st 20 21st. Okay? When you got when that's when you say when you consider a week before a preseason game, the norm like maybe five, Haven't they? Three or four days like I always thought like they they would open camp on a Thursday they were playing Saturday. They used to be. There used to be some of that before, but Mhm. I I personally don't like it like you got two days on the ice. And then Austin, you play preseason game. I love that. I loved it party. I can. I bet for goalies, they would suck getting up to speed and and and angles and stuff and normal. I can, but it also is different because you guys when we skated in the summer, we dropped the pocket center ice and we played a game of shinny right now. The guys that are skinning in the summer. They're actually doing skills development, goalie training, uh, actual practices and when they get to camp They don't need a week a camp to be ready to play a game. They're already in game shape somewhat when we played. It wasn't like that. So maybe now, I would say yeah, two days and let's go. Um, I can still remember Alex Kovalev. When he played for the Montreal Canadians with me. Remember, he remember the white skates he used to have? Yeah, He was the only guy in the league that had these skates. You knew it was his signature. It was him like these white skates and the stick was his signature to and his stick was insanely short, like and curl like at the bottom. It was rockers. Um I remember after one of our years, we we, you know, didn't make the playoffs or or lost out in the playoffs. And when he had left He left his all his equipment still hanging in his stop. Okay. I thought that was kind of a little weird because I was I was one of the last guys to leave Montreal after the season. It was like, you know, I stayed there for probably a week. Two weeks and then I I went in to grab all my stuff. To take it back to my my hometown for the summer to be able to skate there. And when I went there Everybody's equipment was gone. Except for Alex Kovalev's still hanging in his stall. So I was thinking to myself. Well, you know, maybe Kobe is sticking around Montreal a little bit longer, Beautiful in the summer time, you know all this kind of stuff. When I came back to Montreal. Every year. I was always the first guy back in Montreal every single year I usually went back. The first week of August, and we didn't start training camp until what the the first of September Marty third of September around there back in the day. But I was little bit later like it was like like the nice seven because there were reasons why I'm saying that is because our first day, uh, never have kept training Labor Day. No. But our first day of training camp in 2000, and one was 9 11. You know, So it usually was about that the eight at 9/10 11th of September, So I was there a solid month before all my seasons. Because there wasn't there was not. Um there was nobody in my hometown that that I could skate with that could push me and that I could practice with and do the whole shooting match, So I left. My hometown early every year by a month so I could come back and skate with this huge group of players in Montreal. All these years I came back. Alex Cobb. Always stuff still installed hasn't hasn't from from the day that he left. I'm thinking of myself. You must have another another set of stuff at his at his house. He shows up to camp that year. I looked at Cov and I was just curious. I say go stuff still hanging your stall. They haven't skated all summer he goes. Yeah, This could be my first time. It's our first our first day of training camp. You think it's funny? I'm like, I think it's awesome. Actually keep going. I'm like, How was he? Unbelievable, huh? Yeah, absolutely Unbelievable. Like he stepped on the ice, and he looked a little. He looked a little slow. Um, but he was never a speedster. He was all about Park control. He was his skill set. I'm gonna go. I'll take his skill set. And put them up against any player in the last 25 years. Go watch the warrior videos on YouTube there and have you ever seen him? With his tricks and stuff is stick handling what he could do One hand shot. Oh, you gotta understand. Snapshot Top corner when I watched this, Okay. I watched this For years, playing with them because we would finish practice. And what he loved more than anything is after the practice was done, and all the boys are in the circle together. Okay at the middle in the middle of the ice stretching everybody did it after every single practice. What does he do, Marty? What he did PT. He does his drills, pucks. He gets three pucks is sitting on one knee. At the far end of that big circle in the middle of the ice, where you face off dot and he feathers passes. This is literally three quarters of the ice. In the air, and he's trying to land it on top of the net. Now here's the thing I would ask you or any other NHL player. You know, does that does that that sound hard. And first of all, you know, a lot of us would be able to risk that in the air from your knee from your I want to hear the first guy to say. Oh, yeah, that's not that hard to even get it. It is hard, but, um, you'd be able to get it up. Yeah, you could do it. You know, But here's the thing. I am not kidding. When I say this. I watched this for years, and he did it after every single practice and I watched him land multiple. Yeah, on the top of the net, and I'm like, if you if You really have to see it on a regular basis to believe that His percentage of of hitting and landing them on the top of that was was not normal, like this was like, unheard of. We're talking like 50%. Maybe I wouldn't say 50, but like he was a good 20% landing on top of the net. I'm not kidding. You five parks. He was landing one on top of the net. He was missing 80% of them. That's not as good Course. Yeah, right. I mean, but you have to understand that other 80% that he was not landing on top of the net. They were. They were right there. Oh, yeah, Like bouncing off. You know the net and his skill set. He loved to play one on one. He liked to get, um two other guys so three in total, and a lot of the times it was with soccer. Koval and Saku Koivu's stick handling and length and and dangle abilities in small areas was Totally insane. And I remember being I remember having some fun doing this and then just completely lost interest because it was so embarrassing. I can never touch the park. I was just like they're like, Hey, ribs come on, and, you know And I realized that I was just like a like a human decoy. That's how good they were. It was so insane. Their abilities to handle the puck. And and the movements of their of all their their the stick and everything it was. It was so unbelievable but anyway Alex Kovalev. Well, that's not what we're really talking about. We weren't talking about Kobo have been talking. Remember, we started that we're talking about training camp opening and guys not skating and how much different it was. But anyway, instigators we talk about whatever we want here. W gr 5 50 MSG It's summertime. So you know what we do in the summertime? We talk about Scott Wheeler's redraft in the 2018 draft, and, uh, you know, there's There's a thought that was the draft. The Dalian went number one and In this draft. He.

"Below the goal line from Alex the cricket and he slapped it into the top shelf over the blocker of Rhymer. Hawkes is sighted again. This time is free. Yeah, Dylan's Trump's fourth of the year from the brink it and Kubelik. So both of those guys who provided the helpers on that one getting their second points of the night and then I even things up at three. Carolina kept pushing through the end of regulation to the point where Kevin like they had to come up big with some saves of the game. Murphy at the hotline. Monitor head now for shots center ice had it knocked away suspension, a copy on the right wing of the hot nanny poles and shoots in the next state by Lincoln and down in the butterfly position. Here the other way. A Soderbergh a center ice gave it away to Passy. Hurricane line the whole hawk right? Put it into the zone. This match the cop down the slot, he shoots and it's wide of the net. Whole gotta back. The pesky right circle he fires down is linking him with a butterfly. Save kicking it away. Now passing another drive from the right point, Lincoln and down with another butterfly save and he'll hold a pocket. A whistle will stop playing Boy Lincoln and coming up Big Yeah, The rookie did come up big there to keep it a 33 game and force overtime that despite the fact that Carolina out shot the Blackhawks in the final 20 minutes, 17 to 6 under overtime. We went Each team certainly had its share of opportunities as Carolina put five shots on that compared to three for the Blackhawks, But they went to a shoot out in the first five skaters. Shooters were all denied to break it for the Hawks Hamilton for the Canes. And Patrick Kane and Vinny Trocheck were denied by the respective opposing goaltenders. Dylan Strome in the third round for the Blackhawks. Almost had one going but couldn't sneak one past James Reimer. And then it was upto Andre Special, Nick off taking the pocket center ice man. It's gonna be Andres fetching a cough. He's over one this season. So let's see what happens. Takes the puck at center ice in over the hotline, turning down the slide Dicks and shoots his scars and the Hurricanes win the shoot out one to nothing. They end up winning the hockey game. 4 to 3? Yeah, Way to go Troy over one, always one for two on the Blackhawks fall 43 in a shoot out there that ended things up as the Blackhawks were out shot in this game, 41 to 33 overall and after winning 56% of the face off in the first period that fell over all in the game to just 44% as Blackhawks. Victoria's just on 30 of 68 draws on the night as it was particularly tilted in the third period, when Carolina won 17 of 21 face offs to help them to that 17 6 shots. Advantage. Hits were 27 for the Blackhawks, including eight by Nikita's Adore Off 33 for Carolina Blackhawks also black 24 shots. Kind of Murphy leading the way with six and in our goalie matchup Once again, you heard those serious have saves by Kevin Likening to stop 38 of 41 James.

"Had to be really good over the last several minutes to keep this game tied of one 4 17 left in the second. Norland on the dot career force. Far side Circle Fountain skate away with the pop that's cook. Cook taps it ahead to King to Blake. Bride. Bride comes out of their lost the Pocket center ice right back in to the Air Force, and it goes Dalton Weigel in the near corner. Dodges the linesman down their skates around him comes away with the pocket. It's kept in it. The blue line again by Bentley rimmed around to the other side and bride can't send it in with him. The defenseman at the blue line. Now the punk goes back and forth back and forth and right at the blue line is where all this is happening. Bentley now get to steal Here's Bentley. Wouldn't pressure on air Force right here or pass across and right in front of the net. His Hamlet in the puck popped into the air Hamlet swinging at it couldn't quite make contact. It's back to the blue Line. Vanilla Villella fires One end is blocked by air Force out to the neutral zone. This is gonna be cooked cooked will send it in some fresh legs. Come on the ice for Air Force, and Bentley will bring it up and turn it over. In the air force in back to the neutral zone. It goes. It's knocked out of the air there by AJ Villella. Taken away here by Brandon Cook. Cook comes in one man to beat buyers away, and that shot is blocked by Christian Felton. Bentley up with it following the block. And this is icing. No icing. They play on the puck is behind the air Force net rimmed around to the near side. Marchand keeps it in at the blue line feeds down low. Or walk, but welcome. Welcome sense it behind the net and coming out from behind the net. And a lot of traffic. There is Ethan Harrison Harrison to Marchand. Marchand's Gets it to Felton Felton with a drive right down the slot. Never got in hip bodies and it redirects to patch Opinsky patch. Hippensteel skated up, dump it in. Falcons have it deep in the Bentley and that they turn it over there below the goal line that Lee comes right back. But on net from the blue line, that shot was taken by Qazi has saved blocker saved by Schilling kicks out a long rebound in the neutral zone. Bentley with the pot here they come. Bentley relentless another shop that drive there by a recent blocked out front. Never got in concert. Tried to pick it up over here in the corner. Couldn't do it. They send it behind the net and the Falcon skate away with it here. With space at center ice Here is Gavin. Will Gavin skates in goes into the corner. Lombardo's e mugs him in the corner takes the puck away. There's Bentley after the takeaway in the breakout and kaze big guy muscles his way in, drops it behind to arreaza. Teresi expend moves and he finds he passes right out in front tried to find a man there on the doorstep. But he passed it right to one of the Falcons, who turns sends it up the ice for the icing call. Air force needed that because there was a big flurry. There were white jerseys. There was a loose puck. Schilling was down on the ice. I think that might have been Murad. Just the goddess stick on that threw it out of danger, which was a good icing call for airports. 1 28 left second period title one. On the dot Novak and Bowery Bowery wins it in the corner, and the Falcons get a chance to dump it out of the zone. And do it got past the Lila at the blue line all the way deep into the Bentley end. Born will grab it for Air Force. Nate Horn past blocked. I'm going over to help out Thomas baskets. He's outnumbered there and Bentley. I'll have the puck. Health. Malcolm's doing a good job defensively, keeping Bentley bottled up. And now here's the breakout for Bentley Santer. No, no look pass intercepted by Weigel Weigel. Send it back to center Ice. Roswell has it They're spins away from pressure. Gets it to no back no back with the past, broken up momentarily by noting that ends up on the stick. Don't Hamlet. Hamlet. And Bentley cycle it over on the far side. Now they reverse it to the near side. Along the half boards. It's going to be grabbed by Zach Maraj is no look passes broken up, intercepted a shot half the post and covered up by shilling in the paint. I don't think that was in, although it was really close as Ethan Harrison Darn near broke the 11 tie with the shot there..

"That right side. I was his off wing. As a matter of fact. Good to see him back. You know, it's a full tempo. Yeah, he likes playing the Badgers. He had seven goals all last year for them against Wisconsin. Average of one a game. I like that. You were going, Bryce. Or might our mike? Yeah. Thanks, Molly. Just dad. Yeah. No, no. My forest played for the golfers. Yes. See on the Yeah. So one up in ST Cloud to while ago Dad player in the Minnesota zone held in the blue line by these safe all Saint Paul took the back in behind the Minnesota net, where the golfers defense will take control, playing it up the left wing boards. It's gamble on the wall players digging away for it. The golfers come out of this drum with pump Minnesota. Average size Wise are the biggest team in the big 10 conference as they were last year. The biggest team in college hockey go free, able to pick it up, but it's stripped off the stick and Wisconsin out coming up the left wing side. Why is my kind of cut in but a nice play by the girl first stop it on clear back to the Wisconsin Blue line still scoreless six minutes ago opening period. From Laban Arena. Madison Laban attacks to the Cole Center, one of the newer sports facilities on the campus of Wisconsin, and it was built to house the women's team. And what a program that has been. Over the years. The top programs in the entire country for women's hockey belonged to Wisconsin and Minnesota. Is that ranted dangling the pocket center ice? I think, itwas Yeah. 01 reach, huh? And control when he's down there with Mason, Nevers and the Central and Scott reading, trying to dig things free, but finally was confidential. But I know just lost it right back into the Minnesota and graphic bearing down and laugh on Tina's forcing him to smother it for a face off. He's got quite a few times here this period. Not bad control some tempo here the badgers on home ice, and they are really putting on a great display. I would say of, uh, you know, uh, Wisconsin team that we haven't seen in quite a while. Very precise, very team like they stopped. Well, after we go from that Sami Walker wins the draw. Walker out here right now, With soaring soon, the left McManus on the right kind of McManus getting back in against Arizona State after missing four games due to injury prior to the Christmas break, My Wisconsin losing control's a gofer, Bricklin broken up. He circles his own net stops and then passes up the left wing side staggering a little bit. But now even I can't do this Sorensen but unable to clear it out Wisconsin for kicking hard and really taking away a lot of time and space from Minnesota. In this first period play pretty even eight shots of peace and no goals. Yet 15.5 there are opening period Brinkman crossed the center, driving it into the Wisconsin zone and going off for the fence change golfers trying to swat it back down low. McManus had it And then it's knocked off the stick and cleared the center by the Badgers dumped into the Minnesota Zone by Brock Caufield. Two sets of brothers on this Wisconsin team, Donna And boys on the coffee fields. Minnesota's like home with a shot from the Anaheim draft, has it turned away by the netminder Beydoun comes Wisconsin into the Minnesota zone. Running off to the right side by the feet of the point block Gophers come back. Next to Santa Rice rubbed out along the wall on the fuck.

"Adams, and he buried it in the back of the net. Neutral zone face off Falcons win the tap, but Niagara with the takeaway and handling the pocket center ice, Ryan Cox lost it. Cook will settle it down for Air Force as the Falcons move it from right to left in the final 20 seconds off period number to a goal of peace in this period, Max Harper will dump it in for Air force with five seconds remaining. And the Purple Eagles will just Neil, take a knee here run out the final five seconds. But Air Force got to be feeling pretty good about itself down one. Nothing giving up a power play goal. The Falcons even this game on Bryan Adams shot in the final minute of the second period, Boy did air force need that, Jack. The Falcons are playing good hockey tonight. They've taken a couple of penalties they put in a dagger on the power play in the Purple Eagles took that first goal. But what would a play there by Bryan Adams and another freshman, remember both goals last night were scored by Air Force freshman Marty and Horn. Tonight's goal by Bryan Adams, the first of his career. Adam's picked up his first career point last night. With an assist gets a goal tonight, and that's a huge goal. Air Force needed something to feel good about it and I Adams gave it to him. Malcolm's go on to the third with the chance in this game. That's all they were asking for. That's what Frank's territory talked about. In the pregame show. And after two periods of play here in Niagara Air Force one Niagara one on the Air Force Sports Network from Little Film I am G College, presented by U. S. A. Handles 30 minutes off fried.
