Ludo shift and We are headquartered in palo alto california and pluto shift is an operational data platform. But it means is. It's a tool to monitor physical infrastructure. And it's built for companies that make the guts like food and beverage and chemicals manufacturing so on and so forth so we held them. Keep an eye on it by using the data that already collecting so a lot of what you do revolves around artificial intelligence. Is that correct. That is correct. yes. I'm wondering if you could share with us for those that don't know what artificial intelligence or a is how you would define that and beyond that. How do you contrast it with machine. Learning to me is the ability of a machine to perform tasks that require human intelligence is a state of existence and the system and make decisions on itself now. How those decisions are made that many different frame with to do that. But at the core of its an ability that we can instill into a machine by providing a framework on how a decision gets made.

A highlight from S02E31 The Black Cat by Edgar Allen Poe

"One night as i sat half stupefied in the dan of more than infamy. My attention was suddenly drawn to some black object reposing upon the head of one of the immense hawks heads of gin or from which constituted the chief furniture of the apartment i had been looking steadily. The top of these hooks head for some minutes and what now caused me. Surprise was fact that i had not soon perceive the object of ripon. I approached it untouched. It with my hand. It was a black cat. a very large one. Fullest is largest pluto and closely resembling him in every aspect but one pluto had not a white hair upon any portion of his body. But this cat had a large although indefinite splotch of white covering neely the whole region of the breast upon my touching him he immediately rose byrd loudly rubbed against my hand and the pit delighted with my notice. This was the very creature which i was in search. I at once offered to purchase it of the landlord but this person made no claim to it. Knew nothing of it. Never seen it.

"When the moon is in virgo. Everything adjusts right because he's gonna be an hard aspect to all the aquarium planets so even though he has a good closing aspect he's like oh i gotta just that. Oh i gotta adjust that. Oh i gotta just that. And then when he's in Cancer he also has a hard closing aspect to all the planets and aquarius. Oh i gotta adjust fat. I've got to address that so. There's a lot of adjusting going on this week. The other thing that's happening this week is mars trans pluto now. That's a buildup and that takes place on the twenty fourth. That's kind like the big feature of the week mars and tours transport capricorn taking action towards what you want to build what you wanna create. So that's helpful but there can be a little tumult you know or a little and not easy flowing this week but it's not quite as crazy as last week was with the urine a seven square. But it's a build it's grow. It's let's get this ready to roll. Let's figure out where we're going and with the moon causing heart aspects to the aquarium planets twice this week once and cancer and once when he's in Virgo you know. It is a week where we're going to feel like we're constantly adjusting things and and if you know that it just makes it easier. It's like okay. Gotta do a lot of adjusting on monday. The twenty second gotta do a lot of adjusting on the twenty four th gotta do a lot of adjusting on Friday and saturday. And then i actually calmed down in the world kind of comes down so you know if you know that you don't take it so personally

Economics In Space

"The life of an astronaut. It sounds so awesome so adventurous astronaut. Doug wheelock says though most of the time it's actually pretty routine regimented. You wake up have breakfast do a bunch of scientific experiments and then you eat lunch. Then more experiments exercise dinner and go to sleep and of course there are no shops or movie theaters are banks or anything like that. So the economy aboard the international space station is all about trade. The interesting thing is with food. Of course the russians food supply is much different than our food supply. The russians is. Doug really loved the us deserts which were like brownies and cakes. And he's freeze dried packets and the american astronauts really loved the russian soups. Apparently the borscht is excellent. Excellent is a relative term. Of course doug says that aboard the space station. Most of the food is actually pretty bland. But every three months a big event would happen. Doug and his crew would get a shipment from earth and the resupply missions were a big deal remember. It costs hundreds of millions of dollars to send a shuttle to the space station. So when those shipments actually came says doug it was a very special moment and in those shipments would be like personal items letters from home loved ones. Yeah who cares. There was also this precious commodity just before they closed the hatch on the launch pad. They would throw like a bag of fresh fruit like oranges. Lemons apples vegetables as well aboard the space station. Duck says produce was like platinum. Yeah and when the shipments would right he says everybody would get together and the excitement was electric. We'd all get in the the node one. Which is our kitchen area and flowed all the fruit and vegetables. Okay so it's like christmas morning. But doug says everybody would only get one or two pieces of produce. Just wasn't that much of it and so here's where the trade comes in. Doug knew that the russians loved onions. They're great for flavoring food but doug loved fruit above everything else at. I'd say like mad. I would take an orange over this onion any day. You know fyodor. Your chicken was mike. Commander said hey fyodor What a trade an onion for do of a like an extra orangey goes all. You don't want your onion douglas's that orange trade legendary in his mind still because for doug that orange was not just a snack. It was a connection to earth. It was like his companion was funny. I had i at one point. I kind of laughed. Because i i felt like tom. Hanks and castaway with wilson. The volleyball hung onto like one orange for like it seemed like probably three weeks at a became sort of by crewmate. Of course the space station economy was not just about food though services. Were also a big part of it and different people aboard. The space station had different things. They could contribute because they had such different backgrounds. There were scientists engineers pilots so skill sets seriously skill sets became part of our commerce as well. Dug for instance has an engineering background and he says for him one of his least favorite parts of life aboard the space station. Where all the scientific experiments they had to do. Whatever their background. This was just part of what they did. Every day and the space station would typically be running more than a hundred experiments at any given moment scientific research about food plants medicines. It's just a full day and it's also part of the mission of the space station. But for doug honestly it was kind of a slog sometimes the way out of it economics doug discovered this a couple of weeks in his mission when one of the scientists aboard. The space station told him that there was a big problem she said. Hey the party's broken. I mean that does sound like a big problem. I feel panicked at least not what you wanna hear aboard a space station. That's for sure. No but doug background was in engineering. So he understands systems and he says fixing things comes really naturally to him and the scientists. This woman named shannon knew this about doug shannon looked at me. She said if you fix the party. I'll do all of your science for the rest of the day and i'm thinking that is a deal and a half. I'll take that deal. So i got my by tool bill called houston and said you know houston. We have a problem. The party's broken. Doug says actually the toilet broke quite a bit and whenever it happened whenever the toilet broke doug's economic value pretty much shot to infinity. I figured out that if you're out in space and you can fix the potty you're like lord of the universe but the real commodity on the space station's as doug was earth itself because he says when you see the whole planet against this backdrop of outerspace every day it just changes the way that you value things it just this raging ball of life in this vast desert of darkness. You know that takes root like very very quickly and it's like wow there's my planet everything ever known you know every word ever spoken. You know everybody. I've ever loved is down there and i'm not there and so that's when it really kind of strikes. You is When i talk to students and young children we talk about our favorite planet and things and i said pluto was my favorite planet. I said but then i went to space and now earth is my favorite planet. Thanks says when you're in space you start to crave all things earth and human evidence of life becomes

Order in the Court (Transfinite Ordinal Numbers)

"This episode is about the trans finite ordinal numbers. What do you think about that Neither no the only word in there. As i know i know lots of like parts of that number but i know ordinal put him in order. trans finite means what across infinite of across finance across the fight number basically an infinite number and the there's actually a difference between ordinal numbers and cardinal numbers. When you get into the infinity's which we're going to talk about Cardinal numbers on the next episode odds apart one basically but ordinal numbers are. Let's say let's say you have like a collection of things. Let's say you have an infinite collection of things. Let's say you have a million like infinite number of names on a list and you have all numbered from a one One onward and their unique right. Yeah and they're all unique or at least they have a unique address if you add. Let's say you add one to that. Like one new name to that while you while you could reorder them and say that they are Well is that one that you're adding. It's one more than the one before. Yeah it is distinct and and you could order them basically the same way because that could be the that could be the number one the the old number one number two number two three and so forth. But if you want to compare if this item is distinct you can refer to it as kind of like the infinity. O plus one address is when you have a collection that's already infinite and you're adding one to it so that makes no sense to me to makes no sense to me because infiniti to me means without end right and so it seems to me like it would be immaterial to add another number in there because it's already there anyway like in other words it's just basically that is when you're talking about cardinal numbers and i'll explain the difference real quick. Cardinal numbers are how many there are ordinal are where they are also. We're not talking about when you were talking about names. were literally not talking about ordering. The numbers were literally talking about unique things. Yeah like let's say like Your jimmy bob. And he's number one and ninety have mohammed number two got pluto three. Got you okay. I was thinking this was like one two three four five. Yeah i mean at one. Two three four and five are ordinal numbers and they're also cardinal numbers because you can have a set like a collection of things with five things in it but once you have an infinite number of things like for example. Let me use the example before we have the incident names and then we add one to it right right. The address of the new thing can be considered like the infinity of plus when address. But it's the total number of things in it is still a just the same in just the same infinity. Because cardinal numbers is about the size of sides and ordinal numbers are about addressing sets. Giving each place everything a unique name so for example before we have everything numbered one through infinity and then we add another item to it and then if we compare that list the oldest to the newest we could talk about this in terms of ordinal numbers.

Gustav Holst: The Planets

"Welcome to classics for Kids I'm Naomi Lewin. Astronomy is the science that studies the Sun Moon Planets and other objects in the sky astrology is not a science. It tries to show how objects in the affect people's lives on Earth Gustav. Holst loved astrology and he composed his planets to be musical pictures of human nature. Holst started composing his First Planet Mars. The bringer of war in nineteen fourteen just before world. War One broke out. Mars was the Roman God of war. All the planets in our solar system except Earth are named for God's from ancient mythology. In Roman mythology Venus was the goddess of love. But host was interested in astrology not mythology. So his Venus is the bringer of peace. Venus is sometimes called the evening star because it's the first pinpoint of light you see in the sky after the sun goes down. But, light from stars twinkles when it passes through the Sky, light from planets doesn't. Next up is the planet that Holst actually composed last. Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun. So it's trip or orbit around the Sun is the fastest. It's named for the Roman Messenger God who had wings and host called his mercury the winged Messenger. Mercury is the smallest planet in the Solar System Jupiter is the largest. Jupiter King of the Roman gods was also known as Jove. That's where we get the word jovial, which means cheerful or jolly host titled He has Jupiter the Bringer of jollity. Jupiter is full of great tunes. Host later turned this one into a patriotic song. Gustav Holst called his planets seven pieces for large orchestra. You might say, wait a minute. There are eight planets nine. If you're a pluto fan how come host on the road seven well, first of all host finished composing the planets in one, thousand, nine, hundred, sixteen, and Pluto wasn't discovered until nineteen thirty also host based his planets on astrology which looks at how the other planets affect us here on earth. So no earth. Even, though the planets is the most popular piece, go stop host ever wrote he didn't think it was his best work, but he did like his planet Saturn the bringer of old age. Saturn Jupiter. In Roman mythology. There are other planets with rings, but none of them are as spectacular as the rings around Saturn humorist, Mark Russell joked that Saturn's rings are made of lost airline luggage, but they're really made of dust and ice. He only planet named for a Greek rather than Roman God is urine us who was Greek God of the sky. Rotate for turn on an imaginary line running through their middle called an axis. The access usually runs top to bottom with a little bit of a tilt like you see on globe but urine this is so tilted on its axis that it looks like it's spinning on its sign. Posts Planet Uranus is the magician. And his Neptune is the mystic. Neptune was the Roman God of the sea. In Neptune host created a really unusual ending for the planets. A double choir of women's voices join the orchestra singing with no words. And at the very end, only the voices are left and they just fade away.

What TV Shows Do Viewers Prefer During the Pandemic?

"And confidently stay tuned after the show to find how you can boost your next job post with their special offer for talking tech listeners. A few weeks ago, Tom Ryan who runs the Pluto TV website explained to me that the reason that his site is doing so well is 'cause they run so much old stuff people. He told me do not WANNA watch a lot of new programming on streaming. The dirty little secret is they really love catching up with old familiar favorites. Will his cinema rang true and clear to me this week when I read the new Nielsen Streaming Chart Nielsen of course is the company that's been monitoring TV viewing for years, and it's now monitoring what we watch on Netflix and Amazon and other websites and the top ten. There's only three new shows in the top ten. And they don't sound that new either. So the most watched show is called copper guy. It's a sequel to a nineteen eighty-four movie called the Karate Kid. Number two is away, which is new is about mission to Mars, and it's with Hilary. Swank number three is lucifer a Fox series about the devil in disguise, which premiered in two thousand sixteen, and it's followed by the other new show, which is called the boys, which is a superhero drama on Amazon from there all oldies but goodies the office from two thousand five. Criminal minds permitted in two, thousand and five. Grey's anatomy premiered in two thousand five. NCIS premiered in two thousand and three, and is a sequel a spin off to a TV show that premiered in nineteen ninety-five called Jag. WHO REMEMBERS THAT ONE Then, we've got shameless pretty current right that's his TV series that aired on. Showtime. Premiered in two thousand, eleven. After that, we have to go all the way back to number

Movie Theater Stocks Have Two Problems

"Movie Theater Stocks Are Getting hammered today a sinner world group, which is the second largest theater chain in the world. Announced it is closing its theaters in the US and in the UK here in the US, it's regal cinemas in the UK. It's a world. So all told we're talking about more than six, hundred, fifty theaters roughly forty, five thousand employees who are going to be out of a job and the stock is down. Forty percent and. In sympathy I guess you could say shares of AMC, which is the largest movie theater chain. Down ten percents, cinemark down fifteen percent. We've seen sort of this drip drip drip of tentpole movies having their release date pushback. The latest James Bond movie which was supposed to come out this past April got pushed. November, and over the weekend was announced, it's getting pushed him next April and it's among other things Jason It is a reminder. Of how those big action tentpole movies Drive this business. Oh yeah, and I mean it's not just the theaters that are really feeling the pain today to write its. Properties which is A read that focuses on the entertainment arena in in general, but they have a lot of exposure to to movie theaters and in certainly a APR's feeling a little bit of that painted as well. Given given what we know. Is playing out in the movie theaters and you know when you look at cinema world, I mean. Into kind of the first thing. The first thing that made me think of it's kind of like kind of like Pluto, and Pluto was downgraded from planetary status like sin world is more like a Dwarf Planet. Now, like this isn't this isn't a world anymore this is really a company that's just struggling to figure out how to survive at this point because they've got to problems. They've. Got, two really big problems they got a supply problem and the demand problem and like noted with with the the actual releases having the content to get in those theaters. That's one problem. But then the other problem, obviously, the health concerns regarding the pandemic people just don't want to go sit in movie theater like like we used to and and so all of this is playing out. On these theaters big and small, and and when you you look at the cinema world's financials I mean they are facing the same problems as everyone else missing revenue falling off a cliff. They've got a slug of debt on the balance sheet eight and a half billion dollars and a half of that lease liabilities. But that speaks to the to the weight that that that those theaters can conserve right that drag that they can serve when when they're not being used in a theater is just like a restaurant is just like a retail store they're all of these high fixed costs in keeping those theatres open paying for those leases keeping them staffed and open. In. So you need traffic to go through them the more traffic that goes through the more profitable they become and that's great and good times. But in bad times as we're seeing now, just profitability just vanishes in I think the trouble. The. Trouble that they're facing. Is that you know when you start looking forward and try to figure out exactly how people are going to be feeling about going to the movie theater when all of this stuff passes over, I mean when when we finally turned the corner and in the concerns For Health aren't aren't the same as the are today are people. GonNa want to go back to the movie theaters like they did before I mean some will no doubt. But for all of the time that passes while we're not going to those movie theaters, all of the time that those theaters are suffering other forms of entertainment are are gaining right other. Forms of entertainment are becoming more and more an option, a nice substitute for folks whatever that may be You know all the way down to new ways of of catching movies, and so we're seeing we're seeing distributors figuring out new ways to get movies out there. We're seeing consumers figuring out new ways to actually watch movies and all of a sudden. A year from now and I mentioned this on on twitter earlier today all of a sudden you really have to be of that good enough risk in that like hey, you know what? It's not the movie theater but I'm sitting at home. I'm eating the pizza I'm watching a new movie that that's good enough for me and I'm okay with that I don't need to get my car go to a movie theater in. So all the more time that passes I think the more difficult it becomes for these theaters to really. Get back to where they once were in. Under. Unfortunately it feels like you know we're we're going to be dealing with this certainly for the rest of this year I mean granted only a couple of months left really few months left but I mean, you know going into twenty twenty one. I mean what does this look like when April or May comes around I don't know we don't know enough yet. But but when you look at central world itself I mean it's really silly United States seventy, five percent of their revenue comes from here. So what's going on here really matters to this business and right now it's just not looking good. Yeah and one of the thoughts I had when I was reading through this stuff this morning was. member. When Warren Buffett bought the Omaha World Herald. There was just sort of this sense. Like. For someone who is so rational in his investing it kind of seemed like he let nostalgia. Get the better of him and you know what he can do, whatever he wants his money although he did sell it. Earlier this year. But. It reminded me of that and I just thought I think there is a possibility where. Some, very wealthy person at some point in the next year or two just maybe not to by. AMC Holdings whole cloth but I wouldn't surprise me if someone was just like not now I love movies and I want this to survive and if it's if it's break, even that's all I care about but but other than other than. Sort of a very rich angel coming in given everything you just laid out with the business I mean. I like how you put it I mean. It's not just a demand. It's not just a supply and demand problem while I mean, Hey, listen apparently Jeffrey Katzenberg get some pretty deep pockets. I mean Chris are you thinking what I'm thinking Quigley theaters let me just rolls right off the tongue doesn't it qube theaters? Hey, it's a possibility. Anything. Positive.

Why is Pluto no longer a planet?

"Our. Future. After taking job at the Lowell. Observatory in Flagstaff Arizona Young, American Astronomer Clyde Tombaugh joined the world's search for an elusive celestial object that must be influencing your ennis's strange dance in the night sky. The painstaking search technique was to take two photographs of the same section of the sky on different days using a machine that flip to rapidly back and forth between the two images stars and galaxies remained motionless but everything else could be identified by slight changes in. Their relative position Tombaugh spent a year examining pairs of photographs. Then in nineteen thirty, he noticed a tiny displacement within weeks. The observatory confirmed his finding and announced the discovery of the

FCC Tweaks CableCard Rules

"This is probably pretty inside baseball, but I know some of you like me. use a cable card at that is capable card. This is the thing the FCC used used to require. the cable companies offer you so you could use your own instead of having to use the cable companies boxer. DVR, the cable card was really Kinda neat idea. It was a credit card device for people old-timers Internet and technology people going back a ways you would recognize it as what we used to call. A P. C.. M. C. I. A. Card P. C. M. C. I. A.. Yeah that that card, there was a credit card but had electrtonics in it. And the idea was it was kind of like nowadays, you could do it with the SIM card truthfully. But this was an old technology around a long time. Nowadays you can do is assume card but in the old days, the cable companies still seems to be living in the old days. They they would make this. MCI Card that you could I left at an end deny PCMCIA. Lot. Letters card. That you would put. In a device, like Tito, for instance, and it would make it the cable box. So you didn't have to use the junky cable walks the cable company provided and you'd read it from them. They're making money on a couple of bucks five bucks something like that. FCC. Has. Just ruled. put a little ruling didn't didn't really pay any. You. Know didn't make a big deal about it and didn't it didn't get a lot of attention. because I think it's a small market. But thank goodness for David Zach. That's Absu. That's not funny. Dot Com. Because if it weren't for him, I might not even be be aware of this. But I use I have three cable cards my house three tvos three cable carts. The FCC has in effect said. We are eliminating a proceeding in which we saw comment on the adoption of new regulations for navigation devices. The FCC calls him devices consumers used to access video programming, and other services offered over multichannel video programming networks, cable networks. and WHO's important part eliminate outdated cable cards, support, and reporting requirements. FCC's Adele worry the market will keep the cable car to live I don't know. According to the FCC. There are half a million cable cards in circulation and they drop every year about ten percent. People aren't using them anymore. You know why? not, because everybody's saying, Oh, I gotta use that comcast box or that Cox box the spectrum by now. Because people are saying, I, just needed her neck. Give Me Internet. I'm I'm I'm curious what you think yesterday Dick Debartolo and I were talking about predictions. We. Had a read back my prediction from two thousand nine, which are wildly inaccurate. But I'M GONNA make. Another prediction maybe possibly wildly inaccurate. I don't think it's could take ten years maybe it'll take five. But more and more of us are going to start getting our our content over the top. You know through the Internet not through the Cable Company and that really in the long run, it might make more sense. For eliminating cable cards just eliminate cable. Not What the cable company wants, but I think that maybe the unintended consequences, this just eliminate the cable. and go over the Internet. Of course, I think most cable companies realized that's the future and are starting to offer more and more on demand stuff over the Internet, and of course, certainly, the content companies no, that's the future. That's why all of a sudden there's HBO Max and Peacock. And Disney plus an apple. TV. Plus these are all over the top. Streaming networks where you you pay a fee, a monthly fee ranging from five to fifteen dollars a month who lose another one, and you get your TV from the Internet, and now you can subscribe to Youtube TV. which. Is really a cable company, but it's just over the Internet fifty five bucks you get your local channels. You get a basic cable package for fifty five bucks over the Internet. How long this is the question I'm posing how long? Before cable companies just become Internet companies. I think that's I think that's happening very rapidly and this getting rid of the cable card is kind of a way of of saying that it's bad for not though. I feel bad for. Tiba owners who have the cable version, the cable variant. But. As you can see, it's not very many anymore. Not. Very many anymore. So the rest of us will either go to you know the the cable provided box which my in my case and I would say suspect many cases is not as good as Tibo offers. Or? We'll just go with a over the top service Youtube TV. It has built in Dvr. You can have six different users can have each have their own. Recording and it's easy. You just press plus on a show and it'll record the show forever. It's got no. I don't maybe there are limits, but it doesn't seem to have any limits on what you can record I. Think it's very easy simple not as there are some things missing. Tibo you can skip commercials I like that they. Put Press. The button boom to just jumps right over the commercial I like that. It's in fact to scrub through shows or move back and forth on a Tivo with a remote than it is on the youtube APP but you know we can live with that. WILL IT BE CHEAPER No No No. I don't think. So there are right now freeways there's a an APP maybe you've seen it called low caste. CAS. Lets you. Watch TV, your local channels free. They're getting away with this, but somehow they are. So there are people help always right enemy say you can. It's cheaper you can get. Pluto. Or other inexpensive solutions, ad-supported solutions and that that's probably the case that'll probably live live on.

Celo: Towards Prosperity for Everyone with Marek Olszewski & Rene Reinsberg:

"You guys. I was reading through the website a little bit before and read somewhere that sells philosophy is based on Charles Eisenstein Sacred Economics cures like we say guy, what's sacred economics? Shots philosopher been very influential on work. We've been doing you know I. Think we can chat about some of the concepts that he introduced that. We think this technology brought to life at a at a big scale. I think one thing maybe for people who are new to settle into the community maybe let me just kind of lay out of the community tenants that we kind of set for the work that everyone is doing and that. kind of in a way make sure people have a sense for what Selah stands for independent new regardless of where the building and what kind of application they building, how looking to kind of use the platform those attendance are designing for all big one loss. You know you brought up finish choosing but think it's less about just puny focusing on tradition inclusion but it's designing a system that is truly accessible to everyone and I think by focusing on communities that are more excluded today, you actually have a shot at having ultimately something that that is accessible to everyone can work for everyone set the first one. The second one is innovating on money, which is kind of. Vein of Prima money and I think this is where you see some of the. Ideas that shots introduced in among other things. Book Cigarette Mixing Charles has been an advisor Selah which has been awesome but I think when you look at the history of money, you see it hasn't really changed the sixteen hundreds, and now we have this opportunity to really kind of actually change what money is that what it can the benefit can bring to communities in. So with that looking at really revisiting the future of money, and of course, we're starting in a much more pragmatic place, stable coins, digital that represent Fiat currencies but you know in the future we see currencies take different shape and you know concepts like natural currencies are things that are really interesting to us. Related to that striving for beauty attendant that is important. You know when you create isn't GonNa make the world in maybe a little bit cheesy. But more beautiful places that actually bringing things that will bring joy in value to communities and just someone who's debating whether they want to be part of community think seeing that and thinking about the things that they. Want to build gifts for more information at the last one. This is maybe one that does feel even more important in today's kind of times. This is about humidity embodying your mentality that has helped us. You know I think we if you talk to us get you know this already I mean we don't pretend we know all the answers have all the answers. Certainly like the undertaking of the mission, for Sallow, to have a better financial system that allows prosperity for everyone, it's not something that smoke with people can just build and roll out and like grow, but it is a team after it's an effort of a growing community, a lot of people being involved over the world to shape that drive that and so the best way to kind of go about it by asking questions by showing vulnerability humility, those are the the broader tenets for several. In addition to those tenants. Have a separate vision statement for the future. Some specific target you're looking to achieve or is it more that you owner achieve something that brings about financial inclusion and like mobile in the world and? So, tell, US, mission at its core is to build a financial system that creates the conditions for prosperity for everyone, and the way that we're doing that is by building a permission lists platform that makes financial tools accessible to anybody with a mobile phone, and maybe those also taking a step back for those who are. What hello can concretely it's a preface state platform that is fully compatible. I would say that there are three key innovations that help us and if achieve this mission, each of which were really specifically chosen to make fellow more usable to someone using it via mobile phone. Has. A CLIENT PLUTO, which leads mobile devices think chain can endure instantly. The current version that we've launched requires certain about seventeen thousand times, less data to sink than a traditional espe- based like client and these soon to launch SNARK based version of this will be one point seven, million times more efficient, and this allows anybody on a mobile phone. To sink in a fully peer manner with the chain in a police censorship assistant manner. There's no need for something like in fuhrer to be able to connect with the chain from your mobile device. Secondly, fellow has a stable coin that's native to the platform called fellow dollars or C. USD Algorithm Mick and Crypto collateralized. been currently, there's about just over six million, US the circulation, the network launched and the number been growing steadily since launch. This is collateralized with around two hundred, twenty million dollars worth of trip to assets which include fellow the native acid on the platform bitcoin and if and then critically even the USDA is implemented. As a token on the platform, you can actually pay for transaction fees with Tokens on the platform. So you can actually pay transaction fees with the US. And then finally stellar has an on chain PKI which maps. Phone numbers or Hashes phone numbers to public keys in Wallet addresses so that people can find each other really easily by phone number, and so this allows people to send payments to anyone in their contact with even if the recipient hasn't even. Create an account on this network, and so these three things can have taken in unison really allow us to build a really great mobile kind of experiences that are

SPACE WEEK: Every Moon, Ranked

"Too small notes before we hit you with some hot moon takes one. Obviously, we're not talking about all one hundred and fifty moons. We picked handful from the top ten, and then we'll do a lightning round on some others. All of these bodies meet the technical definition of Moon meaning they orbit an asteroid or a planet, not the Sun. Second Note. Jennifer's list also includes a few of what NASA calls provisional moons. These are bodies that are kind of, let's say unofficial maybe haven't been studied that well or confirmed yet. Yeah. So. I want to add that the scientists that I spoke to. They said that they're probably way more moons out there that we haven't even discovered yet. Well. So cool. Okay. All right. So number ten on your list diddy moon yet say, yes is did he moon? So, did he moon it's not circling a planet. It is actually circling an asteroid it. It is very tiny. It's about five hundred, twenty, four feet in diameter and it's orbiting. The asteroid diddy. Moss in it's it's kind of part of a very cool future NASA mission, right? Yes. So did he moon is part of a really important the item mission and the item mission is like this cosmic dress rehearsal basically, NASA wants to send a spacecraft to slam into diddy moon and knock it off course. Now I know what you're thinking. It sounds pretty familiar and yes, it is essentially the plot of Armageddon. Show me. But it's a really really important mission in it's going to help us test one of the ways that we think we might be able to potentially deflect a hazardous object that might be pearling towards earth. So cool. Okay. Number six called by one expert you talk to the most underrated moon in the solar system orbiting Jupiter Ganymede Ganymede. Ganymede is such a fascinating world Ganymede is the largest moon in our solar system. It's actually larger than Mercury Ganymede is also the only moon that we've known to have a magnetosphere. Cool. Earth has a magnetosphere and it's essentially this covering this kind of magnetic shell that we have of charged particles and what it does. It actually protects us from harmful radiation. So there's tons of radiation that's generated by the sun and from interstellar space, and that magnetosphere protects us it's potentially allowed life to form. Can I tell you that I am horrified to report I thought Ganymede was a made up moon Scifi show the expanse. Oh. Yes on that. Farm on Ganymede and I'm like it was a fun made up plays I love that shout the expanse it's a great show. Yeah no can't meet is just so fascinating. So number four on your list orbiting Neptune. Triton. Yes. Triton is an absolute misfit. First of all I will say it looks just like a cantaloupe if you look at the picture. How was ranked keep going I, mean, that is, of course, the important feature. But really, what's cool about Triton is that it's essentially this kind of Pluto sized object that we believe has been captured by Neptune and now orbits the planet and temperatures on Triton and we we know this thanks to the voyager two spacecraft but temperatures on Triton have dipped as low as minus three hundred ninety one degrees Fahrenheit. Super Cold Nope nope. nope. nope things. But it's partially because it's got like this ice covered surface right and that reflects a ton of the light that it receives that it's by. Yeah absolutely. That's that's another really weird thing about Tritan on it has what's called an incredibly high Albedo. So that's basically a measurement of how much late a body reflects. and. Triton's is actually really high. It reflects about seventy percent of the sunlight. It receives I'm like in Triton I'm going to be honest with you Ganymede. But I'm like Triton right now array. Okay. Time for the top three Jennifer. Are you prepared I? Think so bronze-medal orbiting Saturn Moon. That contains the big four ingredients for life hydrogen carbon nitrogen and oxygen enceladus. Yeah. So enceladus is absolutely fascinating moon. So the Cassini mission when it arrived to observe Saturn's moons, it noticed that there were jets spewing out of ENCELADUS, right? So they actually took a detour and had Cassini swing through those jets to collect samples of that liquid into turned out to be liquid water right? I remember when that happened that was wild. That was like a big deal. Yes. Absolutely, and so it really spurred a lot of interest in enceladus. Of course, we love Europa. But enceladus is really this kind of new and exciting moon and you know as you mentioned, it has the big four ingredients for life. That's really just an incredible sign that this might be one of the places where we find life. Okay. Number two on the list orbiting Jupiter lot of Okano's and some lightning. I oh. Yes. So I will admit that I have some volcanic. I really love of volcanoes. Thank you for disclosing that conflict of interest Jennifer I have to be I have to be honest. I'm anyone who knows me knows that I absolutely love volcanoes. So naturally, I O, which is the most volcanically active body in our solar system would have to take second there are over four hundred volcanoes on the surface of Iowa and they spew jets of. Lava hundreds of miles and two space. It's really incredible. Okay. So this is the wildest thing about Iot to me is that I owe can generate like true current. Yes. So of all of the Galilee and moons of Jupiter, Iowa's actually the closest to Jupiter and so sweeps through its magnetic field and that causes it to create this electric current it can generate. As much as three million amperes, and actually this jolt of electricity is then shot back to Jupiter and it creates lightning in the planet's. Fear I mean, that's cooler than the volcanoes. Some some people would say that. Yes. Okay. Your number one moon Jennifer orbiting. Saturn. A Moon I could walk on with potentially nothing more than an oxygen. Mask Titan. So Titan. Is. The only other place that we've observed so far that has a thick substantial atmosphere. So our atmosphere of course is. Critical for life here on earth and tighten, it has a similar has a sort of similar atmospheric also mostly composed of nitrogen but the second most common gas in the atmosphere is actually methane. So right. So instead of like US having oxygen the next most abundant compound in that moons atmosphere in Titan's atmosphere is methane. Yeah. Absolutely, and you think about Earth, we have a water on earth all. Three phases of water on earth. So there's liquid and gas and ice but on Titan you have liquid methane on the surface, which is really really incredible. It's the only other body in the solar system that we've observed to have liquid on its surface, and these are rivers and lakes and seas of methane and ethane part of the reason why it's got this like, orange Gooby Hayes, around the moon. Yes. So Essay in the methane on those hydrocarbons, that kind of creates it's it's really this I feel like it's really beautiful. It's this kind of soft orangish glow. So it looks a little bit fuzzy whereas other moons that don't have an atmosphere they. They look very sharp but this is very, it's a very muted known. It's. Yeah. Beautiful I think. Yeah. So. Before we go Jennifer we had to leave out a of sweet moons. So we're GONNA do lightning round. I'm going to mention a moon from your list and you give us one moon. Moon Pinions, but moon fax perfect. That sounds great. Okay. Number Forty, one Jupiter's moon ammonia. Yes. So a Mafia is actually the object in our solar system and we aren't one hundred percent. Sure. Why beautiful reds my favorite coloreds promoted to thirty one. Okay Number Twenty Jupiter's Moon Callisto. So Callisto is thought to have the. Surface in the entire solar system. Pretty Sweet. Okay. Number eighteen and nineteen combined also Saturn Moons Atlas and Pan. Atlas and Pan Look like giant Ravioli with aerial around their equator. It's so much fun. Okay. Number Thirteen one of the two moons around Mars Phobos some phobos is a giant rubble pile on track to either fling itself into Mars or split apart in orbit on some missions. Actually proposed a pit stop on the tiny moon on our way to the Red Planet love it. Okay. Number Eleven, Maranda orbiting Uranus. So Miranda is home to Verona Rupe. It's the tallest cliff in the solar system. If you fell off its edge, you would have time to read the newspaper before you hit the ground. Okay.

"Two hundred and forty degrees celsius so this is conditions nothing like what we have on the earth so the nitrogen that is in the air all around us here on the earth is mostly frozen out on the surface of pluto and produces this vast laker frozen nitrogen and how big these dooms if you couldn't don't suppose sort of translate them to the sahara and say look the same thing well quite comparable in size to the large june's that we would see in the sahara ten meters tens of meters something like that so you could go down in principle you could it wouldn't be too hard to climb up them and slide down the other side if you're gravity's pretty weak i does sound a bit like i don't know one of these landscapes you get install wars from time to time i mean absolutely magical to be on and he took sort of blithely about the winds i had no idea you have matt misty little own winds on something as remote as pluto yes pluto has it's a very thin atmosphere but it's a very deep atmosphere it extends hundreds of kilometers above the surface it is continually supplied by evaporation of ice on the surface of the recombines sation of ice on the surface of a very dynamic relationship between the atmosphere and the ice on the surface so the isis continually redistributing itself across pluto because pluto has very extreme seasons on when the sun shines on one hemisphere of pluto the ice evaporates from that hemisphere and it goes in brecon dense on the winter hemisphere and so that causes winston blow all the time some of which quite strong and they seem to be strong enough to.
