"Also want to mention another common foot issue. That i'll run across with clients and that many people actually struggle with and that is plantar fasciitis. It's actually the most common type of foot pain. And i am amongst those in that set of statistics. I actually had plantar fasciitis several years ago. And let me tell you for those of you who never had plantar fasciitis. It really is not a pleasant way to go about your day. Just a little bit of that background of what plantar fasciitis is if you can imagine. There's a thick ligament that runs it starts at your he'll at your heel bone and it runs to the base of all of your toes kind of starts bet. He'll and spreads out as it gets further down that foot and what happens is that kinda thick ligament that plantar fascia becomes irritated and inflamed and then it causes a lot of pain. So and oftentimes pain will feel like sharp stabbing pain in your. He'll and i remember that vividly. It's just remember especially in the mornings when you roll out of bed in your feet. Would i hit the floor. And i just remember cringing and kinda and and just kind of wincing every time My my he'll hit that for probably for the first five or ten minutes out of the day because it tends to be worse in the morning. When you're tight when you're stiff and things like that so you think about that ligament that being similar to a rubber band it needs to stretch and contract as you walk or take steps throughout the day so this ligament can become irritated and inflamed from overuse. Pretty is the most common thing but it can oftentimes come from a deficiency of nutrients as well.

Always I often compare to tyrod Williams. But in this sense. You recently. Came up with the most disgusting horrible painful. Not Look at blisters. I've sever seen I. Start Thinking would tyrod Williams rather your blisters or the Plantar Fasciitis. I need you to explain to people out there just how bad discussing this was I mean it's it's tough to even describe If we really wanted to haunt people, we can throw the pictures up on unsocial me not to. Disturb people. It basically was the entire bottom of the foot. I mean it was. It was it was massive I. Mean it was you know not something comes we'll do it but I would say he he would have rather had my condition. Than really yeah. Because eventually went away like I think in the shorts are mine was worse But eventually you get through it in the fasciitis seems the last like. It haunts guys for like the whole season. He dealt with that all year last year. So I think he'd rather have even if it's worse short term I think he'd rather have the shorts or one that eventually goes away. Then something that just you all year, right? That's the power. I don't plan to Fasciitis because it's you learn when you say a blister people laugh at you. Yes and I think when you told people, you had blisters like come on man what a shoe lot. Let's go right and they kinda laughed at you and you're like, no no, you don't understand the only really understood was the attending physician is when you that saw? It was like an you told me the alien she was screaming. He didn't. He had never seen anything like this. Because even even the doctor come on what are the tomorrow? Yeah then after it was, you'd. Like calling the colleagues and like look at. Sabe. I think. You're right. What I should have done is come up with a better name for it. Because I think that was that was the issue of people not understanding. But at the same time like Plymouth, Fasciitis doesn't sound that bad either. Sound. Good. It doesn't sound good but I think you're like it's a little fun issue right now it's awful. It sucks in guys yield some of the best athletes in the world deal with it for a long period of time. But I will say I think I think anything that eventually heels. Than, things that linger for a long time I think. Has Your blister next around the full price bro? Really Abia. Little medicine on a medication antibiotic. All the above and some some some detailed multiple visit draining. That blissett temperature, my spike, and they might think have Kobe at that you have see. A huge publicity I think that makes a temperature spike. You could have been like one hundred win rains. They were told you to back up what he's done. It's gone now luckily, I didn't have any actually I did have one or two at the time. But I got I got through it. We're we're good. And figured out why you get this. Yeah, we do that one that was that was a that was the protests night. All that's you're. Never happened before. So it's not like a usual occurrence I wasn't prepared for. Mister America. With people listen? The people I was. Going on. Details. List of a journal. Back to the team, we cover So Jon Gruden yeah, John this. Is when you know your little testing training camp Z and fewer time out the virus, you don't get any preseason season games. So I'M GONNA start make insurance with Jon Gruden with his face saying I'm not gonNA address that and I'm going to sell out because I think he said that ninety percent time but one thing he did I thought this is interesting we need update on. This at the end of the question the other day John Gruden's talking about something I don't know because he started with an address it but then he put out there there had been a prank about me having Kobe it was not true. Now we know Richard Sochea the special teams coach brought everyone to zoom a few weeks ago and try to make jokes say coach Gruden as Kobe, hospital, in them, and then obviously he said, hey, you tickle tickle just. And they lack. Gruden never addressed till now, why do you think he did this again no one has ever denied. This happened is a out they. She's saying I had nothing to do with this. Yeah, and I think that was the misinterpretation that Gruden deny that had happened. He denied that he had any role in it. And he was I think pretty careful about choosing his words there. So I think what we can assume from at least to take John. GRUDEN's word for it. Is that rich massage had decided to do that special teams coach? He's a good sense of humor. You decided to do that thought it'd be an interesting prank either you know whether you look at it as it was a prank that was supposed to be funny or it was supposed to be a lesson in Hey, this can happen anybody at any time we got to be prepared for it either way he thought it was gonna be something clever to do it I think, Jon, Gruden may have heard some of the criticism that hey, like if you're trying to focus so much on beating the virus as you say, pounding the virus into the ground as he likes to say, then you probably shouldn't be making light of it or making jokes about it. So I think he heard some of that feedback and he just wanted to make it make it clear that that wasn't him. That wasn't anything he had to do with He had nothing to do with it and they was just somebody else doing that little. You know little prank on the team. I. Think that's what you're trying to get out there like, hey, this might have happened but it wasn't me stop saying that I was joking about it or making light of it I take this seriously and we're gonna see I wish I could Jon Gruden impression maybe you can I don't know but the crush the virus into the ground is really becoming his favorite expression. I can only get Jerry Jones. US thinking about Michelle our shower, the shower let's a quick quick horrible Jerry. Do you want me to go back and aiming. Yeah, I don't think. Are Flip-Flops Good For You?
"Visit just about any a college campus in the united states and when the weather's warm you'll see many students wearing flip flops the flimsy thong sandals that once upon a time we're meant only for the shower and pool students wear flip flops because they're comfortable plus. They're easy to slip on when you wake up at noon and realize you're late. Wait for that geology final but what many daily flip flop wearers may not know is that the sandals are also really bad for feet according to podiatrists those soft spongy sandals provide no arch support and cause the foot to roll inward and because the the only thing keeping flipflops on feed is that little rubber thong you end up gripping them mainly with the toes so wearing flip-flops is even worse than going barefoot which is bad shoes and socks were invented for a reason they protect the feet from wear and tear provides support and reduce stress us on tendons and ligaments. All the stress placed on flip flop clad feet can result in plantar fasciitis a painful swelling of ligament running across the bottom of the feet and into the he'll flip flops are still find for the beach and hanging out by the pool but wearing them to get around campus or town down is risky foot business. It's a division of proline surgeons I practice out of the east side located in Swedish medical center, both in Redmond as well. As in is a qualification in the main hospital, but practicing. There for twenty seven years and enjoyed it. And I also bring patients sometimes downtown to see them down at our modern James location in Seattle in your practice. Do you have an area that you specialize in or you particularly enjoy we'll out in the east side. We see not only quite a few kids, but we'll see quite a bit of sports medicine injuries. Such overuse injuries with associated with running with ankle injuries. Many of the sports on the east side with both the pediatric publishes well as with the dolts, and we do see a good number of seniors. There's a growing population of seniors. They're also resided in the east side. So we do treat those as well. So you take care of the entire continuum age the family of foot problem, we do that. We try to expand our horizons and treat everyone that comes in the door. Great, listen, let's talk about plenty fasciitis. I mean, like, I said earlier seen it a lot in my years, physical therapist. And I know it's one of these chronic problems that people present a with it can be difficult to treat it. It's kind of a challenge. Sometimes. But tell us about the planner fast show that set it up from an anatomical standpoint. And let's do a little physiology anatomy, phys here semester that we all enjoyed colleagues. Right. No promise, plenty of fascist. This ligament is structure that extends both attach on the heel woes goes out towards the ball of the foot and help support the arch of the foot. It's an integral part of of the integrity of a person ability to ambulation, we see this symptom. This classic symptom of heel pain, they come in the office and complain about the soreness the lives of red studies where it states that over three hundred people are seen for this syndrome on an annual basis when the Comey off say they usually complain of this soreness, they have upon initial ambulation and after rest, then they tried to various remedies to try to treat the problem. And it's it it sometimes it works. But many times a dozen. That's when they usually present to our office. Yeah, we're on the radio, but I just want to kind of. Create a visual far listeners. So the planet as you described as this fibrous tissue that runs from the bottom of the hill to the front of the foot and attach is on the base of the toes in create set almost a band of that longitudinal arch support. That's correct. Yes. It is a it. We call a bow string or the foot to hold up the arch of the foot. And so what most people when they present? They have the soreness in the heel because the structure develops, micro tears, usually it's ten point on the hill. But it may occur in various locations on the bottom of the foot. So we treated differently depending upon where the person complaint presents. So the complaint generally speaking is where the Fashoda originates off the hill bone. Do do you ever see it where it's kind of the mid arch pain? There are different categories of different types of planner fascia, and we treat it in in in in various in different. Approaches depend upon where the location is plentiful located on the inside of the he'll be treated differently from the outside the center of the he'll in the arch and maven presenting the ball of the foot, and depending upon the symptoms and what they've tried in the past. I mean when you're in active in the morning, you you're just getting out of bed and those first two or three steps you take because your your weight bearing you're hitting on your hill and roll over on that arch in your stretching that fashion, and it doesn't like that. Because it's tight, and it's not it's not warmed up in. It's going to have pain those first two or three steps. Exactly. That's what most patients coming. You know, the skin issue crystal clear vision, and at the end of the meditative state of I get up the kitchen the freezer doors open right out. My god. Beckley what he looked like? And so anyway, really. Story. Freezer, and I'm thinking. The door open. You know? The bitterness, and I remember her telling me, you know, while back if you just the stuff it's going to clear your skin. Like in the freezer. So couple of weeks later coworker. My go into Elvis, you know, metaphysical stuff I have some books you can help. And he gives me this trilogy. Stack and entertaining, and it's got a picture of them. And it's the same picture of what he would like vision. It was great. I heard from quite a number of people who have had experience where education came to them as a guide. They were meeting. I actually do what I love at your show, you're bringing archangel Michael in angel. I actually worth angels. I you know, I've had experiences and dreams with them. And I really killer in sewing, you notice teacher and in two thousand fifteen when my father resigned from cancer, you know, really hard time, and I received, you know, you're going to teach people that they're not sick. Well, I do a peach now called you're not sick. And I just finished a book called you're not sick. Okay. I look at your website. And I'm like, wait a minute. You know key teaches different in-depth ways of healing. Which? They're amazing amazing. Yeah. Where does work come in? You know, far as you know, what I'm teaching and what it is. I'm teaching how people get sick. So you know, he teaches you how to heal the damage, and I'm gonna be teaching how I got there. Yeah. And so I would love more information going to website and everything. Under show one day. Get that book done. This is a whole other story. You got it there. Thank you. And Casey was not a healer. He gave healing information. But he didn't heal people directly. Did he no he was not an energetic killer anything, but he prescribed all any kind of treatment, you can imagine he prescribed. So it wasn't just, you know, health holistic health. It was you know, surgery everything. In fact, one of the early cases catch him had him. Do was really unique at the time. There was this man named Mr. Dalton who was about three hundred fifty pounds a construction foreman. He fell into construction hole shattered his knee. And he was so heavy doctors told him he'd never walk again at any fixed. Catch him gotta reading Casey prescribe getting to nails from the construction site and described how the hammer the kneecap back into place and to put a cast on it for six months with nails. Yeah. With which is pinning Abon. What we would say now pinning Abon, but at the time that was totally unheard of. But catch him fall the treatment and Dalton was able to walk again after all that. The guy scream when they hammered nails into his knee. Hopefully, he has some kind of morphine or something, you know, my gosh, Joe in Long Island, New York Keijo go ahead to questions on Casey one on angel on the angels, KC fine. I think what the angels might have done in his case and other people's case telling people something that anybody could tell you, but because it's coming from an angel saying stop drinking soda. He would more. It's such a more prominent way of hearing it that you'll more so take heed. And I think also that angels are kind of doing stuff that really is not directly related to a given person. But you might see them and how they're operating and how they're affecting things. And they're showing you that they're they're even though it does the matter does not directly relate to you now on Casey. I'd ask you did. It's drinking and gambling phase trigger any remorse or guilt. I don't think it would have that was kinda commonplace. Then and also he lost his voice supposedly upwards of a year where he could barely talk. And that gives him the cheddars later on like that that might happen again. Well, okay. So that's the drinking and gambling just to be clear that was during the lifetime as John Bainbridge in the in the seventeen hundreds that wasn't Casey directly, Casey. Right. And he he did have the learned Jarvis. And there were a couple of times during his lifetime. When he got really stressed like I mean today, we say, you know, were interested in reincarnation. Are you supposed ancient mysteries? And sometimes our family members kind of think that's unusual. Imagine what Edgar Casey had to go through eighty ninety one hundred years ago. So sometimes he was really worried about his finances. And when he became extremely stressed. I would say at least half a dozen times the. Laryngitis came back, and he would have to go into an altered state, and they give him a suggestion that it would be cured. But it was a cream problem. A number of times rather life, especially under stress dramatic, dramatic dramatic stuff. Now did his wife possess any special abilities? Did he teach or anything? Well, she was according to both the sons who I knew she was the most stabilizing influence in the house that you know, they had people coming all the time to see Casey. So you know, she might be thinking we're gonna have dinner for five and there'd be twelve. So she was always able to make everything work, and he trusted her totally because early on when he was giving readings in addition to problems with people like no in catch him, his father used to conduct readings and his father was also getting readings on the side that educates,.

"We wanted to keep to responding that immune system. So that's another reason why we need to mix it up and do something a little different chatting with Dr Alicia Evans. She's with Evans cover practic pain relief laser clinic in new Berlin. Let's talk about her up at the I know we kind of discussed it a little bit last time you were on. Let's let's continue with that. Yes. Neuropathy. Most people have neuropathy. He is getting from the lowest to nerves in their back. And it's Lamar number four and Lamar number five. Those get beat up the most in most people at some point in their life, and that's unfortunate. But it's I think a price we pay for walking on two legs. And instead of four. But anyway. So what happens a lotta times is people have episodes of back pain, and then, you know, those kind of wax or wane, and they don't have back pain as much anymore because a lot of the tissue in that area has actually changed scar tissue and it does. And then start people start to get bony Spurs and stuff and there's not much motion. So then it's not generating as much pain from the back. Okay. So people have stenosis and things like that. And snow is just a whole getting smaller because something that soft is turning a bone. Right. Well, anyway, that pinching on those nerves, you know, it's just a little pressure right while the problem from that. Now, it's not generating pain anymore. But now you start to have burning in your feet or pins and needles or people think they have plantar fasciitis because they have all these, you know, in the morning the first few steps, and they may have some plantar fasciitis. But it may they may also have. Wrap at the a lot of people go for treatment for plantar fasciitis. And it doesn't help right. Then you gotta think well, you know, it's probably neuropathy, right? Why? Anyway, this is really horrible. Because also makes the muscles in the foot week people don't really know where their feet are in space. They tend to trip and fall, you know, the stairs become more of an issue. Right. And these types of things are what I treat in my office every day. Right. And I also I find people who've got problems with weakness or sensation that they didn't even realize that they had right? They might come in for a knee problem, and I do a complete functional neurology neurology exam on them. And I find this is going on. Right. So I know that that's really a big problem treat their knee. But then we have that discussion about how you've, you know, part of the reason your knee is a problem is because the muscles around your knee have weakened because the nerve go. To those muscles isn't functioning properly. So now, your knees is grinding most usually on the media side where it weakens, and yes, we're going to address that. But, you know, you're bigger problem is this neuropathy, and if we don't do something to help the nerves the he'll than the muscles aren't going to be able to become stronger, and then you're not really going to get better. I could imagine this is for like older patients, and maybe people with diabetes. They absolutely Yep. Little bit different issue. We manage that a little bit differently diabetes is a metabolic issue. So we've got other things in our on our regenerative medicine side that really help helps the nerve the Mylan sheath around the outside that started like the installation like in cord, you know, you the plastic stuff that wraps around the cord that stuff that plastic stuff serves to wear away. That's kind of what happens when you have a metabolic type neuropathy. Okay. Okay. And ultimately, all neuropathy. Our nerve damage of some sort, right?.

Listening loud and sustained cheers, his native Spanish. No better. Roar is not Spanish. That's what they that's. That's evidently, he fooled. The Associated Press writer, though, the thinking was I couldn't see past the stars in their eyes. They couldn't setting is that goes out in the wires. And then repeated across this entire country. Although it's unclear how long it'll be out Yankees have another outfielder on the injured list, Giancarlo Stanton. Tune goes on the list with a strained left. Biceps which he injured on a swing? Do you? Remember, what at-bat you actually injured yourself? Yes. I. Third. Swing three one say. Did you consider telling them at that point in coming out of the game? Or did you feel that it wasn't that big a deal? Yeah. Contemplated that? One, sir. Cramp or some more significant. So just let a couple of mornings play out. And and go inside and swing a little bit. "And he said the worst thing you can do is walk around barefoot. No, yes. So for plantar fasciitis, but you don't want to develop it. He just said in general barefoot is the worst thing ever like barefoot on hard surfaces or socks terrible. So look at these hideous slippers clippers I bought these are so ugly. I need help people who knows of a cute slipper. I don't mean like a marabou high heel hanging around the house just yet. But cute like I bought these tempurpedic slippers and their hideous. And they're not in that controversial. I need something that's cute and yummy that I can wear on the house that kind of feels like a sneaker. I mean, do I just get sneakers like slip on sneakers, but it just cushy now feel like it needs to be cozier? Restoration hardware has some nice ones. Really? Yeah. Or it will send me options people really at a loss. How was your weekend? How is my weekend? It was if you like it flew by we went to Riley did a new menu at leader house for their brunch. So we did that was out was nice boozy brunch. Or is it a real bridge in though, it's a boozy boozy McGee. I'm assuming. Boozy? No. It's actually not that boozy. Yeah. I mean, there's one that has like caviar on it and whatnot. But no, it's it's delicious. And it's a pretty large menu. Really? Yeah. Oh, that's exciting. Didn't have a little mimosa cart. So they come around. And they'll do the most is in front of you. It's very fun. Let's do a lot of fun. I don't eat brunch. You don't eat brunch. I think it's just more of like an ambiance thing. Like you go out with friends. I love the concept of it. But you don't actually eat the food. I don't eat at that time anyway because if the of interval eating, but also when we go out, I will do it. I'll turn the clock around. Yeah. And do it for Easter or those kind of. But it kind of wrecks my day, really. Because then you're like full, and then you don't even have driven champagne, and then I'm full..

"Argued look again, look at look at first seven years of of the numbers that you care about. Okay. So in other words, if you're gonna make the arguments that somebody has tremendous command of this freight known then that person would have a very high batting average had a very high flooding percentage. Very high on base percentage, you'd have a very high opium. All those numbers who hold to trout are very very close. How old was how old was pools when he signed his contract with the. All much and that that's the thing. Ramon it. But but I'm just saying if you if you wanna see like ever pools was generational player. I mean was unbelievable age twenty two twenty seven as he got older. He you know, he just kinda tempered down what happened? Plantar fasciitis. Okay. I was that was right. He was there when my trial was rookie that was I just remembered spending a lot of time in the car driving. Anaheim those days and pools was really exciting player for the for the angels for the first couple years of it. But he got plantar fasciitis which affected his ability to do just about everything. And even though he still played through a lot of it. It was just it was a chronic thing lead to other issues. He couldn't run as much you could play field member there all the time. It it. It's a what a small thing. Right. It seems like plantar fasciitis gets them in with chronic really biffing. So any anything like that like a backup fasciitis knee or whatever start happening? I think we're going to be sitting here in twenty. Well, not sitting here, you'll be Costa Rica where I'll be in Cartagena, and we'll be watching box scores. I think Mike trout will surpass thirty six hundred thirty seven hundred hits what Pete Rose's record? Okay. Just forty one. Whatever in twenty thirty one OSHA, you'll have at least three Oscars. Oh, man. Yup. Maybe limited you, it's I'm on my way. But you know, I I hate to hear that the angels have anything positive going on in their lives. We're happy for dodgers. I'm a dodger fan, but this was a major this. A major is almost half. So John tonight in Milwaukee. No, Jaanus and Nola bre n-. It is a showdown between Mike masala and Chris Middleton. Yeah. I hate that. I, you know, well, by the way in the case of LeBron they're saying strained left groin. That's troubling. Right. But it will can you imagine if you know, and and there is no indication that they would shut him down for the year. I mean, I know there are people that will make the argument. Look, it's a four year contract. It doesn't make sense to play them. I really like watching LeBron play. And I really hope he plays more games. But if he doesn't then it's last game will be that Knicks thing. So you're gonna come back and play. Yeah. I mean, I think at some point back and play MoMA. What do you think is going to come back and play I think he'll play a little bit? But not much maybe like the last week of the year. I think he's going to like when I when I saw strain left growing without making any calls, but just resent that was reactivation of the inch. Right. John's three reactivation. Yeah. Yeah. And by the way, could that not have been a part of why he got blocked and twice in the last forty good the second game. But anyone anyone who's like, you know, Laker fans are taking path right now. Because. The teams having a bad year. So like fun to hate on the Lakers for some reason. But I would argue anybody criticizing the broad look at his numbers. I mean, he's putting up numbers that are are pretty comparable to what he's always done. It's just it was a year that didn't work. You know, the the roster didn't work out the way they thought it would injuries cripple them. And they just gotta go back to the drawing board next year..
