John Zmirak Reveals the Frightening Implications of COVID

"Let's think about the implications of COVID. When COVID hit, I remember Donald Trump's State of the Union address. It looked like he was going to coast to a massive reelection victory. COVID hits, he fumbles the ball, okay? He did not stand up to the panic monitors. He is the one who put Anthony Fauci on television. He's the one who started operation warp speed, vaccines, all of them based on aborted babies. He could have insisted on a pro life alternative. So Trump is not perfect here. Trump is a normal human being who made mistakes. He didn't know he was dealing with a coordinated power grab by a global elite using a weaponized virus intentionally created in China with American money that Anthony Fauci helped to create he didn't realize he was dealing with Bill Gates who intends to create a kind of medical global dictatorship and it's really worth watching Robert Robert F. Kennedy Jr.. He's no conservative firebrand. Robert junior talked to Tucker Carlson about Anthony Fauci and Bill Gates longtime collaboration to sort of create a centralized corporate control of global medicine, which allows people like Bill Gates to make tens of billions of dollars. Think about this. Pharmaceutical companies are completely immune from any lawsuits. If a million Americans died from these vaccines, they couldn't be sued because they were immunized by the government. Now you have the government forcing people to take the vaccines. Who can you sue if you die? Nobody, nobody.

CNN's Jake Tapper Slams Major Corporations for Being 'Blinded' by Chinese Cash

"But Jake tapper mainly because of his concerns over paying Shui. Paying who is the tennis player? Am I getting that right? Accused China's former vice premier Jean galo of sexually assaulting her. And so then she disappeared, of course, because it's China. Tapper emphasized the world tennis association's attempt to protest China's brutality I'm reading from mediaite. I can't believe I'm reading from mediaite. It's kind of weird segment as this. Is far more strident than what the International Olympic Committee has done to prepare to host for the 2020 winter games. Tapper said, yes, the Olympics are supposed to be free without politics. But this is not about politics. The allegations against the Chinese government go far beyond his treatment of Shwe. That's the least of our concerns. But the real problem is that people that pay U.S. taxes and that are allegedly U.S. citizens, they have gotten unbelievably rich off of allowing China to rise to power. Many members at the top levels of the generation that came to power in the 70s and 80s, the septuagenarian generation, the Pelosi and Schumer's, they prioritized instant stimulus profits from Mainland China over the welfare of the nation. Here's CNN Jake tapper. I mean, he just unleashes on this. I'm sure he'll be reprimanded. Play cut 13 right now. That Simpsons episode in Hong Kong disappeared like Peng Shi. Disappeared, like citizen journalist Zhang Jian, whom the Chinese government has locked up for telling the truth about COVID-19. Disappeared like the consciences of the millionaires and billionaires in Hollywood and the NBA and the IOC and Wall Street are all so eager for Chinese cash. They are pretending none of this is happening. There is no amount of money that can buy enough soap to wash that blood off their hands. So, I'm going to give you the cynical interpretation that I'm going to give you the other interpretation. The cynical interpretation as Jake tapper doesn't believe that. And he found some sort of intern that isn't a Bolshevik at CNN and said, hey, I want the 9 p.m. slot for Fredo that was just fired. Can you just like take some of Tucker's monologues and then launder them through a CNN filter? And then let me say them because then I can get the 9 p.m. slot. That's the cynical interpretation is that Jake tapper found some intern that isn't a communist that CNN and wrote that monologue after that. I'll be honest, that was a copy paste of something that Tucker Carlson has been saying for the last three years.

"Tucker Carlson is right. You play the Tucker Carlson quit. Clip one more time about what they're going to try to do to scare people and they're going to use COVID, they think to try to win the midterms. As the Democratic Party comes closer to certain defeat, a year from now in the midterms, all of this will intensify. That's the whole point of it. It's how they won last time. And so they're doing it again. Only crime. Not a single person is in the hospital in South Africa because of omicron and yet that's the pretext upon which the CDC has just assumed surveillance powers. You don't need to be a genius to connect the dots here. But they're not ton of geniuses running the Republican Party, apparently. They still don't seem to understand what is happening. Listen to them and they talk like if this was about a virus, but somebody needs to push back. Maybe it'll take a new party, a civil rights party to stop our descent toward actual tyranny. This Is What You Can Do to Save America

"People ask me all the time they say Charlie, what can I do actually to save the country? And they're like, I do everything I've been told. I watched Tucker Carlson, I bought the pillow, like I did everything I was supposed to do, right? By the way, promo code Kirk at my pillow dot com, the circulation. No, seriously. And if you guys are moving in as a high school to college kids, the best Giza dream sheets you could imagine. But no, in all seriousness, it's kind of one of these questions of what else can I do to save the country? And this is why I think that our turning point USA activists are doing such a meaningful difference honestly. Because you've done the most important thing as a start, which is you've decided to be the same person in public that you are in private. And you want to know one of the biggest issues we have in America is that we have 75 million people a large percentage of that they're afraid to tell. Anyone else that they're a conservative out of fear of being fired? Be fear being mocked and ridiculed, and they're right. And that doesn't mean you shouldn't speak out. So people say a lot, they say, Charlie, you know, if only my fraternity or sorority knew that I was a conservative guy, I'd get kicked out. Or my friends would know. Or my boss would know. And you think yourself, are you really free in that sense that you always kind of have to wear a different uniform or you have to kind of change what camouflage you put on when you leave your apartment or your house? And one of the things that people complain about, most is cancel culture. I hate the term. I never liked cancel culture. I think it's overly simplistic quite honestly. But the reason why cancel culture, whatever, however you want to define it is powerful is partially because we make it so, is partially because we allow the other people to have a lot of power over our lives. Is that we say, okay, I'll speak out, but if it means that I might get called a bad name, then maybe I'm just kind of sit down and let someone speak for me. And the most important thing that I want you to take away from the speech tonight is that you want you want in your life to try to be a free person in the sense that you don't have to pretend that people around you or something you're

"Oh, I think he will. I think he will, and I think he's going to start with the president. Why not? Remember something. Biden wasn't president when he smeared Kyle rittenhouse and called him a white supremacist. He was a citizen. He was a political candidate. Here's what Kyle rittenhouse told Tucker Carlson last night about Biden and his reprehensible smearing of this young man. What did you make of the president of the United States calling you a white supremacist? Mister president, if I could say one thing to you, I would urge you to go back and watch the trial and understand the facts before you make a statement. That's not a small thing to be called that. No, it's actual malice, defaming my character for him to say something like that. Yikes. Yikes. Biden better get his lawyers ready. And he'll have lots of legal assistance, of course. "Here's Kyle last night with Tucker Carlson. So before this, I mean, you're 17 years old. So you're probably not watching cable news all day or deeply into politics or maybe you were, but did you know how dishonest, media coverage of events could be? I didn't. This isn't a political case. It shouldn't have been a political case. It was made a political case. Had nothing to do with race and the ways people are twisting this. It's just sickening. World Media Thought Kyle Rittenhouse Shot 3 Black People... He Did Not

"Do you know that the world media thought that Kyle rittenhouse shot three black guys? You come somebody a white supremacist, you must assume that he's targeting black people, right? Listen to Glenn greenwald, on Fox News the other night, talking he lives in Brazil interestingly enough. So when you see Glenn greenwald, the independent journalist on Tucker Carlson are on TV. He's coming to you from, I think Rio de Janeiro, but not mistaken. He doesn't live here in the United States. He watches the world media. Listen to Glenn greenwald's analysis of the way the world media covered the Kyle rittenhouse case. If you rely on the media, you should feel betrayed, you know, I'm somebody before I was a journalist who worked as a lawyer inside courtrooms for more than a decade. So I knew that it's very difficult to cast a judgment about an event this complex without seeing the evidence at trial. So I waited before forming a judgment. And when I did sit down to watch the trial, I was infuriated that everything I had been taught to believe about what happened here by the media was radically different than the facts of the case as they developed. And Dan, I don't know if you've seen this, but multiple media outlets around the world, like the biggest ones in Brazil in Holland in the UK have all repeatedly reported that the people that Kyle rittenhouse killed were black because they were misled by the American media who kept saying this was a white supremacist on a terrorist hunt and therefore they naturally presumed because they were deceived also by the American media that his victims were black. Isn't that incredible that actual media outlets around the world reported that Kyle rittenhouse shot black people? The three people he shot were white.

Rittenhouse Jurors Are Stalling on Verdict Because They Fear 'Mobs of Joe Biden Voters'

"Last night, Tucker Carlson went on a really, really important monologue about Kenosha, Wisconsin. It's no secret I'm a big fan of Tucker Carlson. I think he's one of the boldest bravest out there. And he's another one who sticks his neck out on the sticks his neck out there. He puts it all on the line, and I believe he did so last night with this monologue about the Kyle rittenhouse trial. The average tree reaches a verdict in just a few hours, so these jurors are taking much longer than most. But it's probably not because the evidence they have heard is confusing them. In a typical trial at insider trading trial, for example, something complex, an honest observer might be able to see both sides of the case and probably can. But that is not true here far from it. In fact, it's the opposite from the very first moments of this trial. It was obvious that Kyle rittenhouse never should have been indicted in the first place. The key question was, did Kyle rittenhouse act in self defense that night in Kenosha? And the answer unequivocally is yes, obviously. It's a no brainer, like the OJ trial. No honest person could reach a different conclusion. Kyle rittenhouse shot men he believed are trying to kill him. Now why did Kyle rittenhouse believe that you may ask? Well, in one case, the man he shot told him so directly. I plan to kill you. Of the other two men, Kyle rittenhouse shot, one repeatedly bashed him in the head with a skateboarder as he lay on the ground and the other stuck a loaded gun in his face. So Kyle rittenhouse fought back in order to save his own life. I'm guessing about that, even the prosecution's witnesses made that point. So once that happened, once Kyle rittenhouse's life was threatened on the street in Kenosha, what were his options exactly? Well, he could fight back, or he could allow himself to be murdered by the rioters and allowing himself to be murdered by the rioters is essentially what the prosecution has argued he should have done. Kyle rittenhouse had a duty to submit to the mob. Well, that's lunacy and no sane jury could agree with that for a second. So the question is, why is it taking so long for this jury to produce a very obvious verdict? Want the answer? We'll look outside the courtroom. There are hundreds of National Guard troops assembled tonight in Kenosha. Why are they there? Well, they've come in case Kyle rittenhouse is acquitted. Not a case he's convicted in case he's acquitted at which point if he is acquitted, pretty much everyone expects the usual mobs of Joe Biden voters to burn and loot and destroy. Why does everyone expect this? Because people on the left are openly calling for it. Now the jury deliberation has begun. I think every city in America should prepare for what could happen if rittenhouse gets acquitted. It may get rightfully

"I keep thinking about Jonathan turley's analysis of this prosecutor at the rittenhouse case. And I wonder if he's on to something. You think the guy is like a plant? For Kyle? I mean, you're going to call rioters heroes? You're going to call looters heroes. People assaulting cops, heroes, here was town hall, senior writer, Julio rosas. He does great work. We try to get this kid on a few weeks ago, but he was traveling. Or maybe I have interviewed him. He's really good. And he goes to a lot of these scenes where these so called peaceful protests are underway. Here is what Julio told Tucker Carlson last night on Fox News. I mean, Tucker, I'm not going to lie to you. I got pretty heated because I mean, yeah, I was out there that night. And to call this mob of rioters, heroes is just an absolute lie. I mean, think about it. Being a call this mob heroes when they were attacking the place where he works at. I mean, this just shows how ridiculous this trial has gotten. And I think it just highlights the fact that they never had a strong case to begin with, but they have to throw everything that they can. To try to save what case they have because throughout this entire trial, their own witnesses, their own supposed video evidence. Only served to bolster rittenhouse's claim to self defense. And as someone who was there that night, it's just very, very aggravating to just see someone lie to the jury in hopes to try to save what his save his case and potentially his career. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Attacked by Media Over COVID Vaccine Claims

"As she a headline last night on mediaite, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. makes nutso claim to Tucker Carlson that the COVID vaccine appears to be killing more people than all vaccines combined. Here's what Robert F. Kennedy said on yesterday's Tucker Carlson today that streams on Fox nation. There have been 17,000 as reported to theirs on the COVID vaccines. And that's more in the last 8 months than all of the from all vaccines, the billions and billions of vaccines combined over the past 30 years. Of this vaccine appears to be killing more people than all vaccines combined. There's more reports of vaccination. The beast revs up when they hear that they say that's a nut so claim. That's a wacky claim. That the COVID vaccines have led to 17,000 deaths reported to VAERS that's more than just 8 months more deaths than all vaccines, the billions and billions of vaccines combined over the past 30 years. And I'm thinking, well, that's significant, you know? That's something people have to ponder, right? No, no, no. The beast says you may not. That's a crazy wacky claim. The article at mediaite says the anti vaxx Kennedy who claims he is not anti vax, cited the CDC's frequently misunderstood vaccine adverse event reporting system known as VAERS. To back up his claim. The article says Tucker Carlson himself has touted numbers from VAERS when discussing the apparent death rate from coronavirus vaccines on his show. Well, media I talked to some health guys some doctor whether this Tucker Carlson's claim about Varys is accurate. The answer was it's not accurate. There's was intended to cast a wide net to capture any possible or potential complication that even has the remotest possibility of being related to the vaccine. Any adverse event is considered reportable. Now, I'm like, so they're saying, don't believe you're lying eyes. Well, we're casting a wide net. Oh, you mean like calling a car accident, a COVID death? If the person in the ER who dies, has COVID in their system because that's what they've done. You mean like that? Okay. I get it. I guess they do that. But what if half the number that's been reported to VAERS is right. What if 8000 have died or 9000? I mean, why is that a nutshell claim?

Tucker Carlson: By the Time Kyle Rittenhouse Testified, He Already Won the Case

"You know, the three people that Kyle rittenhouse shot, one of them was chasing him down, according to the witnesses violently threatening him, trying to get his gun from him. And was advancing on him. Another one was hitting him in the head and the neck with a skateboard, and another one, the other one, the third one, pointed a gun at him. Those are the three people he shot. It seems pretty open and shut self defense to me. I want you to listen to Tucker Carlson's monologue last night, which sort of summed up what we've witnessed so far in the Kyle rittenhouse. Trial. In the meantime, site, the Kyle rittenhouse trial continued today in Wisconsin. And a move that surprise lawyers everywhere. Rittenhouse took the stand in his own defense. That is unusual in criminal cases and it's especially unusual and murder trials. And the reason is simple, the stakes are too high. One wrong answer in a cross examination, and you could wind up spending life in prison. But this case was different. By the time he testified today, Kyle rittenhouse had already won the case. At this point, there was no remaining doubt that Kyle rittenhouse acted in self defense during the riots last summer in Kenosha. Every shot written house fired was captured on videotape and from multiple angles. Every single witness who testified this week at the trial confirmed exactly what happened. And here are the facts of it. A convicted child rapist called Joseph rosenbaum was released from a mental hospital. And then went directly to join the mob that was burning downtown Kenosha. Once he got to the riot, rosenbaum saw Kyle rittenhouse and immediately threatened to kill him. Rosenbaum then chased rittenhouse and tried to pull the gun from his hands. When he did that, Kyle rittenhouse shot him. So Joseph rosenbaum died as he had lived, trying to touch unwilling minor. At this point, rittenhouse ran defined police, a mob then chased him down the street, howling for his death, a rioter jumped on rittenhouse and knocked him to the ground. Another smashed him in the face with a skateboard. Yet another drew loaded gun and pointed it in his face. And how shot the second two men, one of them fatally. So those are the facts. And there's no way to interpret them except for what they are. The exercise of self defense. Rittenhouse shot people, so he would not be

That probably helps her okay. But still they're 10 and 11 without the guy who makes the most money on the team. That's just my my short list of guys I think are deserving Coach their candidates. Victor, you know, he And I like that, Dr. Nothing bad to say about him. But, you know, he's saying all the teams all the teams quit on me. You know, he's kind of, you know. Yeah, they Indiana thing wasn't you know whatever. Like it was. Very, very strange situation that the thunder treatment for Paul George, I don't think that's an insult. Yeah, you know, so the magic traded in for surgery, Baka because they don't wanna Pam and I wasn't that that's a fair point. You could say they it was a disaster was a disaster trade all around for Orlando, and they traded surged within a year up to Toronto for Terrence Ross. And I think the first round pick so, um That's a fair point. But Bon temps do you think Houston can maintain this? And, you know, do you think that they hold on to these guys now that they were thinking about trading because they might have something I would assume McMahon would probably have a better sense of this and me, But I would assume it wouldn't change their thinking between now and the deadline. I think they were probably gonna wait anyway to do something, but I suspect if they could get a good deal for Victor of the Depot, or P. J. Tucker or any of these other guys, I think they would still Do something by the deadline, But, yeah, look, I mean, if they don't treat those guys, I mean, they have a decent team like you're going to go through the roster like John Wall when you know health is an issue When John Wells healthy, he's a solid point guard Victor Oladipo's it Good to guard Christian would have been a good center Peter Tucker is solid, right, Dana houses a solid defensive wing Christian would has been damn good, You know, he he's He's been really good like they have they have. They have a decent amount of talent and like They had to have depth of heaven as sterling brown the water off the bench, both those guys I played well, you know, they 10. They've got 10 guys in the rotation that can play, which in a few cases the past No question. And if you look at the West, right, I would say there's you know. Five teams you look at that are definite playoff teams barring catastrophic injury and Utah, the Clippers, the Lakers, the Nuggets and the sons and then after that you've got Portland, Houston, Dallas Golden State. San Antonio, New Orleans, like Is no reason that Houston can't be in the mix of those teams. And that's like 6 to 12 in the West, especially especially when you're talking about right 10 teams. Here's what I would say about the Rockets in terms of the trade market. I still anticipate that P. J. Tucker gets moved. And that's simply because they Yes, this is fun for rockets. Yes, this is There's a refreshed vibe in the organization, and they're really enjoying being competitive and then proving people wrong right now, But it's not about this season for the Rockets is about laying a cultural foundation. But obviously when you make the moves they've made and gotten all the pics..

"Good old Twitter machine at C dot Harrison We got a lot to get into and today's show the Rams are actually being model Lee competitive in the game. I don't think they're going to win this football game, but they're being mildly competitive right now against the Green Bay Packers. Green Bay is up 25 to 16. Jared Goff just threw a touchdown pass 25 to 16 Green Bay over the Los Angeles Rams, waiting for the nightcap tonight between the Baltimore Ravens in the Buffalo Bills that comes up at 7 15 Central will certainly keep you locked in right here on CBS Sports Radio for everything happening in the NFL playoffs tomorrow. We've got a couple of good ones. Kansas City plays Cleveland. Cleveland is a big underdog in that game, but it's the NFL playoffs. Who knows what can happen and then the night cap. Tampa Bay, New Orleans Tampa Bay got smoked in their last matchup between those two teams. New Orleans is really got pressure at the Brady Brady probably played one of his Worst games of his NFL career. The last time these two teams met Tampa Bay got swept in the regular season, and I saw a stat this week that the team that is to winnow in the playoffs when 65% of the time So that old adage about you can't be the team three times. Teams lose three times all the time. So it seemed that is just quite frankly better than them. I think that's going to be the case in the other NFC matchup. We'll get to that. Over the course of the show. But let's keep it focused in on Houston right now as a city because Houston has had A very tumultuous last two weeks. Let's talk about James Harden first, because that's the move that actually happened as much of the Shawn Watson is huffing and puffing and very unhappy about the situation, and I can't really blame him for being unhappy. I don't think anything old simile is going to happen. He is just far too valuable of a player for you to trade him. To essentially get back your own draft picks from the Miami Dolphins. Now maybe there's another team that is willing to really Hey, furnish John Watson. But to me, the team that makes the most sense is the Dolphins. You have a quarterback? You can give them you have a top five pick, which ironically is Houston, Stop. Five pick you have your own first round pick two second round picks again. One of those picks is originally Houston's in the layer Me Tunsil trade. So to me, the Dolphins just make the most sense but of your Houston. I'm not trading to them out of principle. I'm not going to give you my quarterback for us to basically get our draft picks back. That is, don't seem like the wave to me. So let's talk about James hard in the Houston Rockets now. Houston has been a good team. The last five years or so. They've not been a great team. They had one chance to make the MBA finals there of 32 over the Golden State Warriors and Houston in Game seven. Word? Yes. Missing everything like absolutely everything in that game that to me, was there on Lee real chance to win a championship and or go to a championship. But as we talked about with Landry Who does radio in Houston, the most frustrating part of James Hardin's concerns with the organization. Was his complaints about culture. P. J. Tucker can't complain about the culture in Houston, the culture and really based on P. J. Tucker. I'm assuming the rules are a little different for P. J. Tucker, then they offer James Harden. As an organization. It is almost impossible. To doom or for one of your players slash employees than with rockets did for James Harden. At almost every step and every turn when hard and wanted something the Rockets went out to acquire, said peace and or player to make hard and happy. When he didn't like the head coach of the general manager. They got rid of him to make hard and happy. We wanted a different running mate. They go pick up Chris Paul when the Chris Paul relationship went south They've been traded Chris Paul to go pick up Russell Westbrook. That experiment worked. For one year when that in work hard and also didn't want to play with Russell Westbrook anymore, So they trade Westbrook to go get John Wall. He still wasn't happy with the scenario didn't come to work in shape has Blatantly disregarded the league's covert policies and covert rules, and now they have traded, said player I always had a lot of respect for hardened in this. Don't mind the load management. It's frustrating as a fan. I've been a victim of the load management to tell you a very quick story. That's a sidebar here Last year, I really wanted to go to New Orleans. I never been to New Orleans before. Just like a great place to go. And I missed my opportunity to see Zion Williamson because he got hurt in college. So like you know what I'll go see him in the NBA. I then bought my tickets. Very next day. Zain has a back injury not going to play, so I'm still mad, but they're playing the Clippers. You know what Quiet Leonard did in that game. You guessed it Load management. I went all the way to New Orleans. Didn't get to see Zion didn't get didn't get to see Kawai Leonard of this game that I bought my tickets for months in advance, so I, too have been victim. Unload manager but I also understand it. We're talking an 82 game schedule where the regular season is somebody who loves the MBA don't really have a whole lot of how you you know, it just doesn't really have a look doesn't have a whole lot about So I get it. Hard. It's always been a guy. He might go to Kabul. He might go to Vegas. He might go to your local strip joint but hard and always came ready to who And I lost my respect for James Harden over these last couple of weeks because you can't tell me that guy came ready to hope for the Houston Rockets. Now, maybe the Nets will get the old James Harden back, but he did not come ready to who for the Houston Rockets. He didn't come ready to fulfill his contractual obligation with the team, bro, if you don't want to play Then just say I'm not playing anymore until you guys trade me forego the cash. And then they trade you. Would have more respect for you doing that. He's clearly not in shape..

"You can follow him on Twitter at basketball talk. And self described hoops junkie Kurt. Thanks for spending some time with us this afternoon and a happy holidays as you were gone. It's going pretty good. You know it. Z always fun working at home with everybody home all the times. And normally, I'd complain about that during the holidays, but in science, some fashion but kind of gotten used to it now, because that's all we've done for, like, you know, since March, So are you holed up in like with like the milk hyper compound where you have, like 19 different screens, and you can watch every NBA games simultaneously. No, it's it's more more than like that because I can like stream a game all watching it on TV, or however, I want to do it. Because I've got a wife. I've got three daughters what I had to do. We have TVs in three different rooms just so that if I'm in one room and the daughter comes in, can I use the big TV to watch? Some horrific Netflix show that I can't stand their vampire diaries. Yeah, You gotta watch that again. So then I've got about like I keep bouncing rooms and screens until I'm just somewhere in a corner watching games. But you know what? It works, right? The end result is beautiful, eh? So I'm checking out the power rankings here. We may as well dive right in with the home team s so you've got the Warriors. At number 19 in your current power ratings, and your first line kind of sums it up for us. They've looked sort of what we expected them to be. Maybe you could elaborate on that. Where do you see the Warriors sort of fitting into the second half of the Western Conference when all is said and done. Yeah, I still think that they're a potential. I mean, it's kind of a weird line now would like to call it a playoff team. I'm not sure what to call seven and eight because they've still gotta play the plate in came but I still think that there's somewhere between six and nine, probably. Um, But look, what have we seen? The struggle could be Brooklyn who looks phenomenal. When Kevin Durant place they struggled to be, you know, they couldn't beat Milwaukee Who's an elite team? They did beat a very bad Detroit team that I don't have no idea what they're trying to do. They beat you know they beat the Bulls. I kind of think. Like I said, I kind of think that that's where they are. They're going. They can beat the bad teams. They're going to struggle against the good teams and what's when they get against those teams. Other teams in the middle of the West Portland's of the world's like where Where is all that going to shake out remains to be seen? But I don't think especially considering all the new faces and no Draymond green. I don't know This 19 ranking probably is a little low. It's also just the first weeks of the power ranking hers. I hate the first week. Alright? Of course I don't. I don't know. It's also random and I don't know. I just It's just hard to place teams because, like, Let's get Cleveland three and one. I know they're not, but they are and I've got to treat them like they're playing well, but they're not that. One of the things that you wrote in your summary of the Warriors so far is that you know James Wiseman needs a lot of court time. And that will happen with marquees Chris's injury, but his feel for the game is also lacking and we've seen that through the first four games that's to be expected were specifically Do you think that he'll make the most improvements in the coming weeks? Is it offenses that defense isn't just messing with in this warrior system? I think it's going to be defense where they needed to be dissension a lot of ways, and that's honestly the hardest part. The MBA the level of defense played in the NBA, and I know the casual fan's rolled their eyes at this, but The complexity of the NBA defense now compared to what it was 20 years ago is radical. It is a much since they've allowed his own and offenses evolved defense is have evolved with it. It's not, you know, I it's not teams are playing isolation, basketball or trying to force that, but it's much more complex and that it just takes time to get used to it. And get used to how it's played at this level. And Wiseman obviously, you know, it's like three college games, you limited experience and feel for it right now. He just needs time I hopefully it comes around on that because The athleticism and the length is just ridiculous. And there's moments of skill where you're just like holy cow. But he's just got to learn how to time out, you know? Hey, When do I go for the block? And when do I just need to be a body? And when do I need to rotate out to the corner? Because I can't have P. J. Tucker sitting out there or somebody you know, like nailing to like you. It just takes time to get used to knowing the person now knowing your your responsibility within there. So I think that I think that's going to come along faster than getting used to the flow offense that they kind of installed in in Golden State, which You know, it involves a little bit as a straight man comes back and there's a secondary playmaker. Yeah, And that was my next question, Kurt. You know, we're starting to get some idea of what this group of strangers look like as a unit right that that we haven't seen before. And the one cog we have yet to see his dream on green. There's no question they will be better with dream on on the floor..

"I mean, they gave up their draft picks. They gave up a lot to get through holiday. Well, that Alison Harden, it takes several shots better now to all right. Philly. If Philly says we'll give you Ben Simmons and whoever Tobias Harris or something Well, it would be what what the Rockets will want their Is been Simmons and picks. Okay. Bible could be a A pick on Gluck. It P. J. Tucker is probably getting traded at some point to. He would make a lot of sense that he's traded along with Harden to Philly. Daryl Morey obviously knows both players well. P. J. Tucker is a great role player on honor expiring contract so you can stand the deal that way. But yeah, that it's been Simmons and then you haggle over picks. You haggle. Whether titles in the deal. I still think Uh, that is the most likely scenario. I'm not certain that there is a consensus within the Sixers organization that they want T o have anything to do those kind of discussions, And then I look at the Miami heat and I have somebody who works there. And I just said, you know, give me the validity of that possibility. And, you know, so I guess they're exploring this. And if bam out of bio and Tyler hero would be the two assets that you might be able to get, Okay, if I'm Houston, you got my attention. Because I do have young players. I haven't all star maybe a potential All Star there and maybe I get rid of all this drama, and there's a little addition by subtraction there. But if I'm Miami Jimmy Butler had a hard time playing in Philly and seven and Minnesota because of you know these players who were immature. I mean, James Harden could be immature and wanted his way. I can't imagine Jimmy Butler putting up with the tardiness of James Harden. Well, and, you know, I do think James Harden the heat culture could be uninterested fit and, you know, maybe he adapts. Uh, you know James Harden when he gets credit, and I think there will be an understanding that his legacy Is on the line. Jimmy Butler and James Harden do have a relationship. Of course. So did James and Russell Longer route and Chris Paul's funny. Yeah, it's funny, though. The Rockets thought they were getting Jimmy brother. Not this offseason last offseason had lined up there ready to ship out compelling. Gordon, make the room hard and bothered been talking. They were ready. And then Jimmy goes from the winning side literally did not return texts and phone calls and went to Miami. Um, look, those things players get over those kind of things. But Miami I would imagine what the first thing I would say is Hell no, bam is not on the table. Absolutely not. Don't even ask again. But hero would absolutely intrigued the Rockets. Duncan Robinson would absolutely intrigued rockets. They've He'd had several vets on expiring contracts where you can make the money work there a little bit limited and picks, But there's there's absolutely ways for offer an offer to make sense to be be put together from Miami. His Tim McManus covers the MBA for ESPN. How much better are the Lakers now than they were a couple of months ago? Well, yeah, we've got to see how things fit on paper. I think there's significantly better Martin Soul to me is a is a major upgrade over what they had a center and much different player, but still because of his physicality and intelligence, Great defense player. I think a little bit of a better fit offensively just because he can space the flooring and give a decent room to work on the shrewder, you know, shrewder and Harold extruded right now wants to start. We'll see. My guess is there's some kind of smooth transition. Get him back. Coming off the bench and that shrewder Harold pick and roll coming off the bench is a ton of firepower. And look if LeBron is healthy and eighties healthy the Lakers of the favorites whether they upgraded the supporting cast or not, but they did. The most interesting team people are talking about is who Most interesting team people aren't talking about. That is a good question. I'm trying to figure out who to people aren't talking. People are talking about Phoenix. People aren't talking. I don't know that the Nuggets even though they went to the West five. I don't know if the Nuggets her Franchise that people talk about the whole lot and obviously yoke, which is a pretty all NBA candidate, Jamal Maria 23. If it's the bubble was a was breaking out for him was a springboard for him. They got another star there. Michael Porter Jr is one of the most fascinating Talents in the league. You know, we'll see if you can put it together. If he does, you know they're potentially have a third star. The other thing is if they wanted to be aggressive in the trade market, Michael Porter Jr is absolutely the kind of No, he could be a centerpiece to go get a to go get a star. I mean, look if the Nuggets called the Rockets, and they're talking Porter Jr picks and you know, like Gary Hairs Barton combo to make some salaries work. Those conversations could heat up. That's interesting. Did the Clippers improve? I think the Clippers, I think mantra is Harold leading probably needs to happen for the Clippers. From a chemistry standpoint, I think Sergio Baca comes in there and maybe fits a little bit better. With the quiet Paul George combo. There's not, you know, old clips versus you know, kind of the new regime there. Baca is me as a as a backup center or started really is a Is a heck of a player. I need to see it from the Clippers. And honestly, my biggest concern about the Clippers is Paul George and Paul George now and it definitely Paul George as that extension kicks in, and he ages. Let's be honest, Paul George, just Kind of crumbled under the pressure of being a a superstar on a team expected to contend so to me, edible out of all the guys who are all MP account of the players, he might have the most prove this season. Your honest reaction when you saw that he got that. Super that Max extension. Well, does everybody have to get that, Tim? I couldn't They say you know what? You're not worth the Max Paul. You're a B, maybe a B plus player. Why does everybody have to get the Max? I don't understand this. Well, yeah, that's a good question. And you know, why does why does superstars have to be able to determine the practice and travel schedules and flex their power with personnel news is just it is a player run..

"If you get another four spacer and help short that defense, that's that's really Under the big glaring weaknesses right now, you know, we're too young to Taj Gibson was a name that I saw floated and I really like Taj Gibson, but he's not a perimeter shooter. He's a shot blocker Rim protector. Frank Kaminski was, I think, just cut and he's 6. 11 has a high basketball I Q and God knows he's He's Ah, He's a perimeter shooter. I mean, he's definitely the guy they would help you there. Um, the one I look at this team and I'm looking at. Okay. So at center, you got Wiseman. Chris Looney Right now to me. That's that's fine. I'm to me that's exciting. Power forward. What you got dream on and you got Paschal and you still you still smile. A G h. I don't know if he's even an NBA player. But you got him and then of small forward right now you have Wiggins And you have you brain You have based more on. You have to Scott No. Anderson, and they're talking about the two. Maybe. To me. It seems like you're overloaded at the three at the two guard without clay, you got pool and I've heard great things about pool. You know, some my warrior moles say he looked awesome in the last workout. But Damian Lee Michael Molders there and you got the kid playing in Australia and then want to make her curry and Manion at those one to me. If there's the Warriors also, they could really use a second sniper. I was thrown out. The idea may be flipping Wiggins for Buddy healed because I know he was not happy and sack. You know, I don't know that that helps you defensively. But, man, I'd sure love to see curry and healed, You know, firing away together on the same team. What do you think that concept that issue with Wigan Steel? Yeah, it's gonna be harder to get to get off that people might realize is market value throughout the league. Non existent even though he played well full games with words last season. People are really wary of his inconsistency in Minnesota, and also just that that massive contract I think his value is much greater on the warriors, and it is on any other team. Which is why I'm pretty convinced that he will least play out this season with Golden State. Um, I'll I understand what you're saying about healed and I agree with you next week. I agree with you. In terms of they could use another sniper. I do think that you break and helpful that Boyd Hey, shot 35% from three last season on a pretty Large volume on did he He sounded pretty confident today that he could be one of the best three point years. Maliki Um so I think he helped. Um, but, you know, The words just weren't gonna They were gonna get a huge difference maker Just given this this free agent market. I mean, I thought they maximized the trade exception going out and getting booed Brown short notice after the Thompson injury, but there just wasn't gonna be Home run in the free agent market outside of maybe, like a market soul who understandably went to the Lakers to chase a title. I think as soon as Clay got injured, the words chances of getting him went out the door. Connor. I thought it was pretty interesting. What Kelly you, Bray said earlier today with regard to warriors ownership, certainly being a higher level of ownership than what he's played for. So far in his career. Washington Phoenix Etcetera tell us a little bit more about that and anything else that stood out from his his room. Yeah, I think that quote was actually from a radio interview. But he was He was very candid with us as well. That everyone I've talked to his coverage. Tell you Bray absolutely loves him. Just because He says exactly what he's feeling. He's got a swagger. Shawn. Uh, there was a reporter on the Zoom today who asked About his relationship with marquees creates and and how close he is with players on the team. And Kelly very basically, cut him off and said, Hey, man, you're acting like you know me like that. You don't really know me like that, bro. Hey, don't be at himself. He actually you know who my best friends are on. It was like it was a little surprising to think you that an introductory presser type situation, but Um, it just shows like who he is. He's not afraid to say they would He feels and, um the thing that I think is exciting about who graze even though he's coming off a career season with Phoenix. He had a little bit of a reclamation project in the sense that he has spent his entire career with dysfunctional franchises. You know, Washington, Um and then and then Phoenix and we know the Warriors love. Reclamation projects from Phoenix because Phoenix has a Max of taking really good players and not getting the most out of them because they're just so dysfunctional and uber, even though he played well. Phoenix, I think was pretty unhappy with a lot of the situation there with ownership of the kind of alluded to I know there was a lot of drama with whether or not he was going to play in the bubble with yet was coming back from that. Meniscus injury and, um, I know ownership felt like he should be playing and he didn't feel comfortable playing. And so I think that's really when his relationship with management truly soured. S so he's really Ready to come back to have the winning, agrees. Like and take your game to the next level and golden State and he was asked, straight up. You do you see a future and Golden state? And he said he does he wants he wants us to be his home. Which, for a guy who's on the expiring contract, I think is exciting for lawyers spent. Hombre makes 14.4 million, but he's going to cost the Warriors and extra $68 million in luxury tax money. So the total bills 82.4 million. So if you ever questioned whether Joe Lake of wants a win Don't be. He just took on a huge huge sum to make his team nominally better. You bray was 15th in the MBA in transition points, so makes you think that they may get out and run a little bit more this year. What do you What's your guess? On the injured player exception we saw that they had applied for it. Who? That who they go after with that? A lot of people saying about Tucker P. J. Tucker do that. Could they land Tucker with that injured player exception and and what's the likelihood of that? I think Tucker would be planning a, uh it really fit for the wires are about they Bond over him for years. He's a guy who always seems to play well against the Warriors, and he very much their style flair. Um he's really strong, really physical, you know, can knock down the three. I know he he already has a good relation with dream on and several other guys on the team. S O. If they could go and get him on that That would be an absolute win. I think he's a guy who could play meaningful playoff ministry and keep in mind when you're talking about the word on who they're adding the sausage you need..

"I said this last night on the show, agree or disagree as great as that passive remained, and it was phenomenal and he is the veteran and he is the leader, and Pascal is probably the most talented player on the team and talk about it being a mapmaker Miss League. When Fred ran bleed is lighten it up. He's wanted back users in the MBA, and most of the time. He does just that, but eaten go cold, too. I think that will decide to Siri's Fred Vanvleet Q Tip well from three to Aditi's next three games, Toronto's going back to the Eastern Conference finals. Yeah, He could be a bit streaky, and they've got to find a way to get him off his game a little bit. But he is when he's rolling very much more dangerous team, your whore. Knick Nurse impressed Stephen. It's been fun like this is this is This is coach is really playing around. Toronto throw So many defense is actually every game. I mean, the last game, they rolled out zone. Manda, Man boxing, one flying going to watch others just They keep switching it up. So you never know what you're going to see. And it just it has kept Boston on its back foot a lot. Speaking of exes, and Oh's just specifically in this round the pressure around we had the play in and they were scored in the high one twenties 1 30 seemed fight night in night out. First round of the playoffs. Still pretty good, high level scoring this round. Yeah, nobody's getting up into the one twenties anymore. Eyes it. Just a ratcheting up of defensive intensity is that the coach is figuring out how to play better defense is Possible. Do you agree that the scoring has come down? I'm pretty Hugh are with my numbers. I didn't sit down and break it down in a game by game basis. But if I'm right that scoring has come down. Why do you think that is You say I have not run the numbers, but it does feel like it's come down, and I think it's I think you're down to eight teams. Um Outside of Denver. They all play good defense. Denver actually did for a stretch their last camp like you don't get this far if you can't get some stops, and so I think that you're just running into Better. Better not even just better overall defensive teams, but teams that can roll out better individuals offenders and make it difficult on the other team stars and so we're just starting to see this is the point the playoffs where Aim and Chris Middleton. It better step up. Even if you wanna get I was like, and he did today. But your second guy, your third guy has got to start making plays and that always just You still get a drop in scoring with that? All right? We're a minute into this Laker game. Second period tonight in a lake of liberty jumped out to a 17 point lead. I think it was their first possession. Anthony Davis attempted at three and I was rolling my eyes as I was getting ready to introduce you here on the show. And since then he has made some nice post up moves. Gotten the ball to the hole evil. He's got it on a perimeter. He is Dunmore driving, then ah, settling for long distance jump yachts. After watching Game one. It seemed rather obvious to me that that was what had to happen here in Game two, although I did know it after the first couple of possessions Ah, just good coaching by Frank Vogel knowing they're going small P. J. Tucker is a tough guy, but he is only 6 ft. Five and you're seven point get within 8 ft of the basket and score over this guy. Yeah, but you've got to do it on the move a little bit. It's not so simple as just posting them lot because P. J. Tucker is a bull man Guy's strong James Harden. You can't just move him out of the post and you go on down through that through that team. They're going on all these guys. There. Strong guys. It's tougher to just post them up in a traditional sense. You think you really need to get guys Attacking and moving towards the basket. But that was always the key. Look, The Lakers have got to get points in the paint to be successful. They've got they've got a breakdown penetration, and then they've got to stop the Rockets penetration. The Rockets And it looks like a lay up line last game and that just can you Then it hasn't happened here in the first quarter tonight. Clippers got handled pretty well by Denver in Game one to make that and gave to to make that Siri's 11 and I don't remember Kawai having as off a overall offensive night someone was shooting in. Some was I didn't protect the basketball and they aggressively doubled and took it off him. What happened? A quiet game number two. Do you give credit to the Denver defense? Give some credit to Denver like I like they've got some long They got him. Reporter. Two years long, God defenders and stuff, But I got a feeling was just a flushable night for the you know, Clippers. I think that they're better than that. They might be one of those teams..

Ask Bobby of what used to did a sustainable Well, I think it's going to be interesting as Faras what Frank Vogel does. Does he stay big or does he want to put 80 85 kind of go small ball, and I think I think we're starting to see the loss of Avery Bradley is paying is going to pay dividends and this is a serious here. I think that's going to be the big question. I don't know if P. J. Tucker can duplicate what he did on On Friday night, Kevin I mean, he wass his ability to guard a d really kind of limit what he's been able to Dio. It's fascinating because it's It's bigs. "They're going to go out there and, of course, trying to take advantage of whatever mismatches they confined on there, and I thought the Lakers did not adjust to that. The way I expected. I was really expecting him to play a completely different game. They didn't do it, and they got burnt in game one will find out if they make those adjustments for Game two and kind of get too serious back under control. But if not, you know they're going to face the same thing that everybody else down here has There's no home court advantage is no home crowd to care. You know emotionally you're gonna have to play. You have to get out there on the court, with everything flattened out. Everything exposed. And show us if you're the better team and you're gonna get tested, and if you don't pass, those tests would be packing up to leave in the bubble. Oh, no, that's exactly what we've seen in this. I was really impressed with P. J. Tucker yesterday to me. The Lakers really struggled with those kind of scrappy guys. I think I like Patrick Beverley and how he's sort of that Disruptor. I thought that's what P. J. Tucker was yesterday. I thought he was fantastic against 80. No, he was and he went in knowing that he's got a history of playing those guys. I think we also need Thio. Remember about the bubble is if it's done nothing that stripped down all the outside stuff, all of the creature comforts of home. All of things you might be used to. This is just pure basketball tournament. It's nothing but players in a condensed environment. They're watching every game that they're not playing in no secrets. Somebody's gonna have a tactical advantage going into a game. You know what to expect. And it's a matter of can you execute about Houston played harder on defense. But they will more assignment driven about their more detail oriented and that will burn you down here. I I've been watching these games from the start, and I'm The thing I'm appreciate more more. It takes an immense amount of stamina and discipline to play the game. A certain way to be is mindful that you have to be on both in the floor to win in this environment if you're not up to the task. You will be, you know, bounce out of here. I don't know. It doesn't matter what you eat it. It doesn't matter what your regular season profile is. You come down here and you're not prepared to play at the level the grind that you have to have To stay around until the finish. You're going home. That is Sekou Smith. "Have to tell you something, Joe. I hear NBA players and coaches say something I know way have to talk to him after games. They have to say something, but sometimes they say things and I go. What does that even mean? So, he says, the Rockets have a lot of speed and you can't get used to that on film, and you've got to get you kind of play against. He acts like he's never seen the Rockets he's played against the Rockets. 20 times in the last few years. Is that just an excuse? I'm gonna answer my question. Yes, it is an excuse. You know, the speed that feels like to me. You lost and you're just trying to think of something to say. There's a way to measure this. It's called the pace Metric pace is essentially the average of how many possessions a team has per game. The pace metric for last night's game between the Lakers and the Rockets was 97.7. 97.7 the Lakers pace during the regular season was 101.2. So there were less possessions in last night's game than the Lakers average over the course of the regular season. Houston's fast but they weren't playing at some astronomical, breakneck speed that the Lakers air completely unaccustomed to. So I think this is LeBron just saying what needs to be said after yet another disappointing game one performance Meyer and get this LeBron has now lost Game one in six of his last seven playoff series, six of his last seven. We saw it against Portland, and everyone thought the House of cards was coming down. And then the Lakers went out 14 straight by an average of 15 points per game for the Lakers. Actually in trouble here, or eyes, it's going to be just like what we saw in the Portland Siri's marries. He's throwing out the pace metric. I hope you've got a stat ready for him back. Strong pace measuring Well, I'll say that since seating in the plans and get in 1984, the Lakers are the 15 to lose Game one of their 1st and 2nd round Siri's in the MBA playoffs. Both of the previous three teams did not win a championship. So who knows what it all means? But I think like any time a quarterback in NFL game is talking about the speed like you know what happened, the allotted your team fall apart. He's basically throwing his safeties and quarterbacks under the bus. This is LeBron San Kyle Kuzma doing enough. This is LeBron saying, Ron doing doing enough. This is his way of saying I can handle it. But I don't know if these guys can and that to me is the LeBron sort of passive aggressive way. That he handles some of these moments, no problems, and Anthony Davis, who looks great, by the way, like we're not talking a lot about Anthony Davis in these playoffs, but he has been amazing LeBron James obviously doing what he does normally, although he didn't show up in the fourth quarter. LeBron is saying, We need help Matt. Somebody else is going to have to step up in order for us to corral a Houston team. That mind you is the best defensive team in the playoffs right now. A Houston team. Did you ever think you would say that No one ever used in is the best defensive team, but they have been I've been great. They've been great. I mean, you have James Harden blocking shots to clinch a Siri's at the end of the day. Houston looks really good with this small ball line of they have, and the Lakers got a lot to figure out, man. Here's the thing. I don't think you can win a championship unless you have three dudes who Khun bring it. And the good thing for the Lakers is there dudes one and two are so good that the third guy doesn't have to even be that great. He just needs to be kind of okay, good, but he's got to be something. And the problem is, they just don't have it. And they try to sell it with Kuzma. I got to see it. I've heard about it even when it was, you know, going back a couple of years. I got to see it and the rest of the guys. I mean, when there are nights when they're looking at Alex Caruso and going you're going to be the third guy tonight. That's a problem for me so but with all that, said Joe And I'm a LeBron fan. I'm like towards the top of LeBron ISMs. What It's always an excuse always. It's always an excuse. It's never him and when you're down to well, I wasn't used to the speed. When you've been playing for 17 years, I just have a hard time with that. I agree with your point that it takes a third starter win a championship because that's the era of N ba basketball that we're living in right now. But this isn't the finals. This isn't even the conference finals. You need that third star against the Los Angeles Clippers, who are the best team in basketball. You don't need that third star against the Rockets. The Rockets have two guys. What do they have outside of the two guys? If it's LeBron and 80 versus Russ in James Harden the chips fall after that they fall after that. There's not some sort of huge advantage. There's something there's a big difference between. I mean you don't like Gordon P. J. Tucker. Is it that big? They've Myron, help green. You don't think they want to have those guys? I mean, they want I mean, air, Gorgeous man. That dude's good. I mean, having a guy like that has proved himself in a lot of moments. P. J. Tucker I would say this and this is game down ESPN radio Matt Jones for Myanmar Metcalf here talking about the NBA playoffs. This interesting thing to me in Miami, I think is done done this to everybody said what they couldn't do. Here's Miami going We've been comfortable in this. Yeah, We don't have a 6 Ft 11 Center. Yeah, We got a bunch of guys from D three schools and, you know, we got Tyler here on these guys who maybe don't look like they could set up a playoff contender. But we know exactly who we are. And I think Houston has that identity to we could talk about the small ball in 6 ft. Five P. J. Tucker, who by the way Weighs £250 and as a 7 ft wingspan, But Houston is very comfortable and what it is both his limitations and strength..

"Rockets lead the thunder 10 for 102 with 1.2 seconds left and the thunder have the basketball. Here's what happened in the past few seconds just to get you caught up on it. So P. J. Tucker makes a floater to give the rockets of 10310 to lead Now there's many other things that happened, but there's no scoring again until we get to the latest part of the fourth quarter with a couple of seconds left, so basically it boils down to this. The Rockets. Have the ball Ah or the thunder have the ball down, one with time running down and Dort who we talked about him a few minutes ago, getting all kinds of wrong. He's having a great game. Ah, right now is wide open for a three that could potentially win the game. The past comes cross court to Dort and James Harden, who had zero energy left at all comes flying out from the key and he leaps in the air to the side, making the smart place. Why don't come down right on top of somebody makes a smart leaps up and blocks door. It's three straight up into the air. All right. So now you Oh, my goodness. Look at this place. Another second comes off the clock as the ball comes down, and it comes back down and Dort catches it, so doors got it. There's still two seconds left, and there's nobody on them because you know, Hardin has lost his balance and he's on the other side of him. He's got the ball. He can turn and take another three. He could turn to take a shot. But what does he do? He turns away from the basket and tries to throw the ball off of James Harden. So it goes out of bounds. I don't understand that I don't That is, I really I mean, I mean, I think I've seen it all. You've seen that play before. When a guy is running, going out of bounds, trying to save the ball, and he turns in one fell swoop and tries to fired into it bounces off a guy's knee and goes out of bounds to all time. But you know you're 30 ft, away from the hoop. You have the ball, turn around and take a shot. Instead, I'm going to continue to face away from the hoop and try to throw the ball out of bounds off of James Brighton. It doesn't or leaps like a superhero like he like You remember that scene in the first Harry Potter film? When you know the he's got all his money, and he buys frogs and it jumps and Ah, it's too bad. He's got one jumping him that it was James Harden. He had one jump left in him. And he went Peter La Fleur or that Harry Potter and avoided Dodgeball. Ah, instead door. It's out of bounds. So game on right. So, so Dort throws the tried to throw it off of James Harden and Harden. The ball goes Julie's Using the last of his energy resources, Harden leaps out of bounds and leaps out of the way the ball goes out of bounds. There is a long Look at the replay to make sure that it go off. James Harden. How much time was left? They put two seconds back on the clock. Robert Covington is fouled right away. He makes the first He misses the second. The thunder Call Time out, and right now there is 1.1 seconds left the thunder have the basketball and they trail 1042102. I have seen it all my Carmen. I really I mean, I look at place and I go. Okay. So you have the the the Blazers last night, tried another blazers the Nuggets last night going for a lay up in the final seconds and put losing back on the table. And they almost lose when calmly just misses the three and then you have door trying to throw them all off its part and out of bounds. What are you doing? I don't understand where it would. What world That says This is the play. I need to make right here now. Sometimes if the plate is doing to call a time out, Do I need to try to find somebody else for a shot? When you take the shot myself? All these things I could understand, but turning around and tried to throw the ball. You have control of the ball. You're not going out of bounds. You have control the ball and you try to throw it off a James Harden. I don't I don't understand. 2020 Well in that in this final minute. We've got chaos as well. They go to a review. Ah, And after all of this, that he actually had a foul shot that was just missed. S o just curiosity and confusion reigns. It's It's amazing. There's just been a foul on James Harden away from the ball. Gallinari missed the free throw. So now the Rockets still lead 10 for 102. This is just insanity. Now. This is just absolute insanity. What? What We're seeing in the N B. A places like we go to the bubble and we decided, you know what doesn't matter. Doesn't matter that I don't care what we're just gonna do all kinds of crazy ass things. I don't I don't get it. I just sit here saying, Hey, it's 2020 s O. Just chalk it up tonight where the referee's rose up. Hey, man, you know they've been part of the story down there in the bubble. They just wanted a little bit of attention to have been sequestered. They've been quarantined and we haven't. We haven't talked about them a lot. I got to imagine it's been held for them to. So here it is. This is their night to shine D for all the wrong reasons. This is what passes for NBA basketball in the bubble. And you thought Game one of tonight with the bucks in the heat with all the bad officiating at the end all there. That's what we talked about forever. No, no, no. This is what we got going on right now. Rockets that Yeah, that was so two hours ago. That was so two hours ago, man. Now it's what's going on in front of us right now. Its rockets and the thunder as one of these teams tries to get through. To the second round, and it's over war or Ah, it has just ended. Ah, the thunder. Turn it over. P. J. Tucker with a steel and the Rockets win it 1042102 they escape will have much more on both of these games coming up in a few minutes, But oh, as happy as I am. That the Rockets one could remember. I picked the Rockets ago. Your rockets as happy as I feared distancing yourself now, by the way, you know? Yeah, this is this is completely Where are you now? And now? I can't be around you now I can't. This is like a member in Dave. When Ah Ah! What's his name was going to run for president. Everybody was standing around him. It's even got a lot of young guys here playing in the first game 72 guys that let him in scoring 21 Shacochis Alexander's 22. So I thought CP three in Danilo Gallinari had to show the way you look to make sure I'm right is not very old 26. I can't read my writing, right? 36 2. Free throws by Harden gives Houston his biggest lead of Game seven up 88 20 left in the third quarter. Chris Paul has P. J. Tucker takes up the shorts defensively has to the wing door for three. It's good blue door, tying his career high with five triples getting okay, see within five. Give up just going to say they need a good offensive possession. Oh, good defense shaped guilty. Alexander was tied up Eric Gordon on the drive from the right. Liukin's door's always open. They throw the ball his defenders at least four or 5 ft away. So just a question of whether he wants to shoot it or not, it's clear. Billy Donovan wants to shoot wants to shoot it and believes in him, and he's rewarding that confidence drafted out of Arizona State was on a two way deal with O'Casey made his MBA debut. "Leading up to the playoffs in the bubble, but really they they're just they'll have quite enough. But like this Rockets team like deep down like these guys have all been In battles. P. J. Tucker is a good veteran player. Robert Covington is a good that You know, they have guys who in a tough game and like that's why here in a game seven tonight that you can here on ESPN 1000 like I would expect those guys to step up tonight as well. You're going to get one of the others to pitch in a little and Westbrook stay under control. Listen, You're a part of the problem. Seven turnovers in the last game, including one at the very end that threw the game away. You're gonna have to get under control. There was there was an article that you Ah told me about on the ringer and it talks about Westbrook's inefficiency in these playoffs and in In these, he said. What is it? Westbrook is at 14 playoffs games with at least seven turnovers in the 100 total playoff games he's played, which is a higher rate than any of the 23 players with more than 27 turnover game since his crew started. He's also one of the most inefficient of 82 players with over 500 shots during those playoff years. He ranks 70th untrue shooting percentage. It's bad, right? So you know, like he's got to play under control and hopefully his athleticism and getting to the basket creating for for Harden allow Hardin to do his little dribble dance move they does out 45 ft. Away from the hoop they can do is double step back like he's doing a salsa dance. Hit some threes. They're going to need P. J. Tucker. They hit threes from the corner pocket on they're going to need Thio rebound as a team and kind of not allow Chris Paul to dictate the pace of the game. Cause that's what Chris Paul is great at. He's fantastic at manipulating the pace of the game in working the officials and the fouls in his favor. And that's where you see like. That's why I was surprising that the Rockets last year didn't do better saying like like, That's where you know, like when he and Harden were teamed up. It's surprising that that kind of Was sour at the Yanks. I thought that that was a perfect mix. Alright, so rockets thunder coming up at eight o'clock. I just want to get that out there. Did you see? So you mentioned the ringer? Did you see this article on the ringer about what happened to the summer camp movie? Now I know most kids are either learning at home and they're back in class back to school, or they've found a way to get kids in schools. But basically we've hit the back to school time on the calendar. Summer summer camps are long gone. But I was thinking about this really today because I never really had the experience of going away to summer camp. Did you? Are you Diogo to Surat a lot? I want to So I went to a weeklong summer camp. Um, it was usually the first week of August every year. Okay? And I went so long that I went from Camper to counselor. You were there that many years So yeah, I want like I want like, eight years, eight or nine years and little kid at the camp, and it's not like a little kid. It's an overnight camp. So it's not like a little kid like like I think you have to be. 12 to go. Okay? Yeah. And then your high school right when you're always have to be cool to be away from your parents for a week, you know, like there's always that one kid that, like needed to call their parents and, like, get them picked up like after the second night there like I can't do this. Like I'm homesick. What's wrong with it? Like it was a bit homesick. I don't know. They would just get homesick. I don't know where you ever friends with that kid. No, no, no. Were you ever that kid? No, No, no. I love being away for a week. It was awesome. And so I would go and you know, And then I became. Then I was. I think you could be you, Khun go up until from like the age of like, I think it was 10 Year to be 10 years old. And then you could go until you were like 14. But then I just became a counselor like they were just like, Let me be like I was just a counselor. After that, For, like, four years. I was a council until I was like, Yeah, I was like 17. I was a counselor. And basically like It was awesome. I loved it. I loved going away for a week because you got too. So it was a camp that was a run by Um people, but they would have rented I would hold on people. Let me explain this. So like you zombies are alien and by like, not like a company by own people, so they had so they had their own. It wasn't like a service. But it was like this guy owned this property and he had like a staff and then you would bring in and then it had they had like cabins and so like his staff would lead the activities. So like you had counselors that, like stayed in the cabins with the sounds like a cult. No, no, no, no. But then, like so each week, like a different group would come in. So like we would so like our group would come in. It was it was it was a Muslim camp. So we would go and like we'd go for a week and then they'd have a camper of like from like a Christian youth group. And then they would have like a they would tell us like this so they would The thing they would do so we do these activities. We do, like rock climbing and you go on, like nature walks every thing and every time someone would have, like a problem with it. They'd be like, you know, two weeks ago, we had a blind can't come through here and they did it just fine. And so like they would have they would. They would basically rent out their camp. But they had a staff of people who were trained lead these activities. They would be the lifeguards at the pool. They would read lead the canoe trips they would lead. So they were there to like they would cook all the food. They're staff would do all of this for us, where is like we had counselors..

"Sports star Jason Head veto on a Wednesday now with considerably less sports, All of the NBA Games have been postponed today after the Bucks and then the rest of the league Solitude boycotting today's games. In the wake of the police shootings in Wisconsin. I tell you what. We'll circle back around to that after the five o'clock news, and we'll get an update of Ed doing his science job in reviewing the video that Dan Snyder had. Yes, I will. I've got a copy of it here in my Home studio, Vito and I'm examining it right now, and it's It's shocking and appalling. And Dan Snyder what a pig But how we gonna select two cheerleaders? He can select him. Hey, one thing, Phil Mickelson one today. All the Champions Tour. They had concerns about rain, so they played earlier today. Kill shot rounds of 61 64 66 wins again We're shopping store the first time out, and the second place was a guy from Austin, Tim Patrol. Tim shot 64 65 66. He takes second place. Really, really good guy. I got to play golf with them over Christmas and a super guy and he would've been the winner today. Still, Nicolas what decided to go play? Let's all band together and get in touch with Phil and say Hey, Give that money to Tim. All right. Give that money to little Timmy. What's that paycheck look like first time when you went in for what's the person A champion's store event. You know, around $450,000 something like that. Do they give you a rascal too? Well, he probably gets anything you want from Cabela's or bass pro shops because they thought that the tournament Ito. So, Yeah, I have a large rascal, then your man Tim, What is it? Petrovicky? Tim Petrovic lives it like Travis. He probably does pretty well for himself. But for 150 GS for a month, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday gig probably do pretty good for Timmy. You even notice that money? Phil Mickelson. I consider that you're stealing from old folks. This is not it is not acceptable. In my opinion, with Nicholson running a senior pyramid scam. That's not right. It's not. It's not cool what you're doing. Man. Uh, not cool. Yeah, alright, That's ah, That's fun. This is good news as well. The University of Texas announced their next Hall of Honor class. Yeah. Today I have. I want to ask you a couple things about this said there's ah footballers. Jordan Shipley, Jamal Charles David Thomas will be inducted. Basketball players. Deejay Augustine P. J. Tucker deejay Augustine. Yeah, Tom's favorite Tom Penders is getting in then a bunch of other names. Tommy not familiar with. What is this? How does this thing work in Well, there's a whole group of Texas association. They make that call. There's a committee that does it every year, and they'll get around and you know there's certain certain time frames. You guys have been Out of school for think it's 15 or 20 years that they'll have over guys they can They can. They can vote in and saying, So. That's how it that's how it works Committee committee. You can read all about it. Sports TALK Kale, BJ on Twitter and Facebook and newsradio dot com slash sports Talk blogger of Radio Ko BJ NewsRadio, kale. BJ dot com slash sports Talk is a block up there kind of highlighting. Welcome stood. I think it's I think it's a really good list. I think it's a good list. And I'm especially happy. They've got Tom Penders and thereby Kolya. He left. He left under really bad circumstances. And he and former 82 lost AJ crossways, and they see each other. Here comes back in town now and I'm happy BMW raise baby. What's that made out of the BMW Days, baby? You've got that right? And that guy was a science glance blanks, but travel rise and Joey Ryan didn't know. Yes, my brain still works. I wasn't there a football BMW, and they're somewhere as well. I think Ricky was the W and the BMW. No. Shawn Mitchell. I'll be judges. Mitchell, Shawn Mitchell Brain person, That's that was sort of what I was looking for. It was because sort of the timing on some of these things. Just these random halls of fame and different honors. What? Why? How is Tom Penders in the same class with Jordan Shipley that doesn't that just didn't add up for me, And it's the answer is, obviously well. We've been mad at Tom Penders long enough that we were that has worn off now we're cool. I think that's exactly right. And you know, there's a God in Glen Blackwood, who played football for the Longhorns have got in who was a great NFL star who has been overlooked Rick bat, Bradley was a basketball player. You know Tom Penders and golfer Brad Elder got in bad Elder didn't do much of anything on the PGA Tour, but he was He was a four time long or all American golfer. So they like to put in, you know all sports golfers, tennis players football basketball, but that's what I got No complaints about. No, my man deeds They are staying. PJ talker Jamal, Charles Shipley, David Thomas P. J. Tucker, How is he not already in their P. J. Tucker has got one of the most interesting professional careers you what you'll find. Certainly among at least you know, long horns who went pro because the guy that you know people sort of thought of him when he was that Texas he was a power forward, but he's 65. He's not going to be able to make it in the N B. A. He's not. He's not big enough as a center and, you know, he ended up playing in Europe for four or five years. And then all of sudden, the MBA game kept getting smaller and smaller and smaller, and people want to, you know Maur athletic You know, just power forwards and centers and all of a sudden P. J. Tucker is arguably the third most important player on a contender on on the Rockets. I feel like a pizza Tucker if the game hadn't changed when he be getting in the Hall of Honor, What have we been waiting on with P. J. Tucker? He was great when he was here. Also, I don't know what they did Wait because he has been great a long time. And he was great in college, so I put him up there like Kris Clack as faras dunking. He was always fun to watch him. Take it to watch stuff. Yeah, but it's It's interesting how people get in this all off Taliban. I think it depends too with people. Well, remember people like P. J. Tucker and you know it, And I still think it's interesting on the Pender Steel because he really brought Longhorn basketball back after the dark days of Bob. Well lick. And, you know, changed really changed basketball for the better. Texas had a goal or they've lemons in the early eighties..

"So Baxter, How is wine, providing a sense of normalcy in the bubble for players. Yeah, You know, it's interesting and talking to the players about kind of life in there, one of the things that several of them had mentioned to me and I heard this from other officials said. There's so much time in their hotel rooms outside of schedule, basketball activities or Covic test things of that nature. They are They're spending a lot of time in their hotel room. One player told me upwards of 12 hours a day, and so You know, they could have called with friends and family zoom sessions and things like that. But, you know, late at night, being able to gather in the players lounge and you know, share a glass of wine over him with respect to proper distance with somebody and have actual human interaction and conversation, is it Providing the kind of escape that I think you know many one, you know, on a restricted campus for a state it's going, you know, for some people be upwards of or around 3.5 months, so it In terms of mental health is playing quite a role there. We know LeBron James has always been a big wine connoisseur. I mean, you walk to the Staples Center, holding a glass on a game that he wasn't playing. LeBron's gonna be drinking vino who? What other players are our big. The biggest wine connoisseurs here is in Orlando guys like Carmelo Anthony Jimmy Butler. Chris Paul P. J. Tucker is a big warn. Did theoretic CJ McCollum Josh Hart? I mean God, it's Iraq almost every direct, you know, It's very popular, especially a lot of star players, so they're able to hope I know what the word is convert. There s a locker rooms, but the trend kind of spread in different organizations, sincerely from the top down some of the star players for sure. ESPN senior writer Baxter Home joining us here in MBA countdowns, We take a look inside of life in the N B a bubble. Baxter. What kind of set up to these players have to store their wine? Wine? Fridge is air certainly coming in in mass into the room. You know this. This helps. Keep the bottles at the proper temperature to maintain their integrity. But it was funny. I talkto CJ McCollum, who told me that he hadn't ordered one yet, so he's essentially just keeping the air conditioner on blast. In his hotel room to keep it around, like, 60 or maybe a little bit below and keeping it dark. So you know again, maintaining integrity of the wind blows. The wind. Fridges are definitely coming in and something else. I would stay two. Players are ordering shipments. You know, at various points, so it's not as if they're all just ordering. You know, a huge amount of wine. It's going to last them for the the length of the possible They're kind of spacing it out. Speak. How hes something is simple as a glass of wine, Maybe a bottle of wine a night off for maybe a couple. How has that been able to contribute to Ah, The really the bonding camaraderie experience for these players. Yeah, it's It's played a big role in before this ever you know this bubble ever happened to general manager opposed to the use of saying Cause we were talking about the length of time that people were going to be there. The fact that it's going to be a restricted campus. You know, far from friends and family. All of that thing. I don't think we know how mentally anybody is going to be able to kind of adapt to it and the comfort and normalcy wherever we could find it wherever players or staff appointed I was going to be a huge role and so to be able to do that at night, you know to be ableto have just human interaction and conversation is a key part of it and wine. You know, players of our team dinners are a big part of the culture. You know, wine kind of bringing people to the table on helping Dr conversation. All that kind of naturally fits into obviously where there's some pretty important needs for people If it's being away from friends or family or loved ones or What have you or just days turned into weeks, and it's kind of ground Hog day getting the task alone facility. I'm gonna do this, and that's what not, it provides a little bit of Ah, break.
