"Matt Miller There's some sectors that you want to have more or less exposure to We've got a vaccinate the whole world analysis of the day's Wall Street action What's the thought on apple here from Bloomberg intelligence Bloomberg opinion and influential newsmakers The bond market was the boss Bloomberg markets with Paul Sweeney and Matt Miller Subscribe to day at Bloomberg radio dot com The Bloomberg business app or iTunes The stations from Bloomberg television Here's Anna Edwards Invest the head of investment banking Andrew pinza joins us And Andrew one of the things that no doubt hangs over this event very very strongly will be the aftermath of Cox 26 will be energy transition and given the London markets focus on some of the older energy businesses And to what extent are you taking away key messages from cop 26 Because maybe from a market day to today perspective they're harder to see But longer term We've got just about 80 corporates presenting to over 300 global investors over the coming days So we'll get a good sense of many of the themes one of them definitely is going to be around the environment A lot of chat and discussion coming on the back of the last few weeks maybe some of that was expected Maybe there has been a few surprises But I think what we are seeing in the London market there's a number of good stories out there that are let's call it new age They're dealing with the challenges of the future So people like companies like ITM serious power you can track with biomass et cetera So we've got a number of mid cap companies who have very much forging I think the future of how we see energy developing So those stories have performed very well over the course of the last couple of years I think you know I guess the support of the positive sense of where we're going will come through strong during the course of this.

"He's right but it's party doesn't wanna hear it. I think that raising children is worked. Said senator sherrod brown in huffpost but paid employment has been the anchor of welfare progress because the dignity and order stable work is the most reliable path out of poverty. The article th the editorial concludes topping. All of this off is the blatant physics fiscal dishonesty. Democrats and the payments after twenty twenty-five so that they can make them fit in their ten year budget window. This accounting fiction aka lie. Let's democrats pretend the credits caused only roughly five hundred fifty six billion dollars over ten years. The real cost will be twice that in other words over a trillion dollars another trillion. Millions of americans have received checks from the irs this year and no doubt they like the money. Now listen the this is the key of the hall of it but this is like free starter. Chips at the casino. The point is to condition american families to government benefits before the middle-class bill arrives in the future in the form of higher payroll value added or energy taxes. There is no free entitlement state. that is exactly right. Yep my friend. That's the story. Get as many. Americans hooked on free money as possible and you have a guaranteed democratic vote and then the republicans are attacked for being mean not caring for the poor and the middle class. That's how it works. Maria in san diego california. Hello good money. How are you. I'm well thank you. I am a us citizen. But i was born in panama. My family's in sinema. I spoke to my brother morning in. There's nike thousand h. Is between colombia and panama. Coming through the good. Us aid of eight. How do you like that. How does he know how does he know that it's was in panama Nineteen thousand so explain to me Haiti is on an island shared with dominican republic. So what what is what does that have to do with columbia because easier easier for them to come by foot. I guess and cheaper. That's so so. What are they do they do they do. They sail to columbia and then fly to the us. No they come by by bilan by the cam. Come by land because they're separated by water well once they're in the in the continent they just walk up here. They just have to make that the cross across. Oh then they do. Oh through central america crossing the panama canal wrecked. See okay that. That is a very long trip. That was one. I liked to me to Bring to your attention folks. How exactly they're doing this. It's the vibe in me. Mr haitians is something i ought to talk about. Ladies gentlemen until you about an interesting supplement. That has made a big deal in my life. I had the pinza needles feeling in my feet have had it for twenty five years got quite intense so among the things i did is. I had inserts put in which helped because lifted the bone from the nerve am. I threw away the inserts last year. After i started taking nerve renew. I read about nerve renew on the internet. And so i tried it out and amazingly after about a year doesn't happen overnight. I got rid of the inserts. I had worn for ten years. It's minimal the the pins and needles effect.

"Hello my friends. Dennis prager here. A reminder what the democrats are doing to this country he's ruining it. The democratic party is ruining the united states of america because it's controlled by the left and the left ruins everything touches to deny that is to engage in wishful thinking and it's inexcusable means. You don't have the courage to say the left is is evil. The left is evil. The left everywhere is evil. Not liberals liberals are my eve liberals often lack courage politically. They're often wonderful individuals. I love some of them personally but they won't acknowledge because it's very hard to stare at evil to destroy america. The last best hope of mankind is that's not evil then. I need a definition of evil. So i'm very specific. And what. I mean by evil in this case. They're destroying this country. Intentionally taxpayer payers should understand. The magnitude of the benefits is the wall street journal editorial about the the The new entitlements that they are giving for children basic income for families with children basic income for all families before the expansion the average child credit for a family below one hundred percent of the poverty line was about nine hundred. Seventy five dollars now. It's five thousand. Four hundred twenty one dollars that comes on top of their transfer programs such as food stamps and the earned income tax credit. The child entitlement will reach well into the middle class which is part of the political goal of course at the end of democracy when people understand. They could vote for politicians. Who will give them money. That's it it's over then nobody votes for what's better for the country they vote for. How do i get more money.

I was just, um Played a small part eventually took over the role as atoms, which is a pilot flies. I'm able to back out of the way. This is the thing that he was not just James Bond like he didn't just show up. And was James Bond. He started as this This actor in legit theater. And by the way, I believe, and you can tell me this Kim, Since you're running the obituaries to death. I'm fairly certain that he came from a family where no one was really had much of an education. It was a you know, working clash, Scottish family. And he himself. I think he might have graduated high school, but that's probably about it. And I don't even know that that that that happened. And to see that he, you know, went on to such great success He made diamond diamonds are forever living. Let I'm sorry. Looking lot dies when Roger Moore took it over. But then he will invalid finger. I'll go finger, Of course. Yeah. Then he came back. And it never say never again, which is a great play on the fact that he had come back to the bond roll, right. Never special love. Yeah, from your love. Yeah, that was the one I was talking about with that great. Um Sarno's is actually an interesting movie. Mark says. This person on the tape just texted. The secret was that Czar does came from the Wizard of Oz. Ah, Well, I hope there's more to the secret than that, because apparently the movie wasn't I saw a little bit of it, but it was a long time ago. I didn't. I didn't think it was one of his, You know, But I think Kim is right to point to the Indiana Jones stuff. So the island of my men better the hunt for red October. I enjoyed that. Of course. Yeah, that was. I thought that movie was a bit overrated, but I agree he was really good. Baldwin's innit? I shall Baldwin talking. I know. I know. I know. We gotta move. But I just want just cause I've started this thought I saw Baldwin talking about Sean Connery. Remember these air two actors on the set, you know, so they come in sort of a Z equals But Baldwin was star struck by a Connery and Connery. I guess had this Leather jacket that was quite striking and really beautiful, and Baldwin remarked on it, So I really like that other jacket you have Baldwin makes the point is now I don't know. I don't wear leather. I got rid of all the leather. He's vegan. Now. The Baldwin feels that you know, leather is Inhumane from any case, but But he's telling the story about how we at the time he was just like drunk on this leather jacket. And Sean said, Well, I know where he's getting. Sean Connery said. Well, I got it from wardrobe. I had them make it for me. He said. Would you like me to have them make you one? And Baldwin was taken back, and Connery called out the wardrobe person. And so you know, come back. Could you make one of those jackets for Alec pressure on DH, and apparently, you know a couple of weeks ago by and there's a beautiful Leather jacket for Baldwin there on the set waiting, So he was. I guess that's just one of the stories, but that was from hunt for Red October. They were both in that. That's what made me think of it. So anyway, Russian piece complicated guy, though, for sure. Yeah, definitely, he says here. He left school at age 13 during World War two to help support his family. He worked as a milk man laborer, steel bender, cement mixer. Basically, anything he wants, said So he had an interesting life. Oh, yeah, That's it. That's exactly what I was saying. You know that he had to drop out to, you know, to support his family. Connery was a Mr Universe third place. For Oh, don't just text Thank you for that text and also from the floor. Ohh! Shut out to the far away. Don't forget the untouchables. Oh, yeah. He was in the Untouchables, The Kevin Costner film. Anyway. So like him as a Indiana Jones dad in the series, right? We were He was Sean Connery was not in from Russia with love. The actor was George Lazenby. Is that right there? Is that right, Albert? Albert, check that Googling. Please check that. Could be the first ever Piece of Information that was incorrect on this show. I want to leave it to me says here, Sean Connery. I thought, Yeah, that's the one I was talking about where he gets into the shoot out and the and hand to hand combat and his jacket never never opens. I mean, it's on rails. Orsino about it's like 11 minute fight scene. The guy's wearing a perfect blue suit and it never his jacket pocket. I mean, but never opens. It's crazy, and I've watched it now multiple times, which is why I should have just smacked. That person down, has said that George Lazenby was in Russia with love. I could You know how that makes you wonder how maybe I'm wrong? Maybe it's you know, I don't know. Anyway, I was a good It was a good movie. But there was another loss wasn't there There was another loss. And this was Nikki McKibbin. At the age of 42. She passed away. She was a consent contestant on the first season of American Idol, and she had suffered an aneurysm and she died. She was kept on life support, and then they harvested her organs and donated them. And she so she gave even in death on DH. Her husband was asking people to take a moment to listen to the song, one of her songs, Landslide, who which was by Stevie Nicks, but she's saying it on American Idol and take a moment to think about her. "Jamie barclay. Van camp. Fun. Same time. We gotta get it done. This is the and fame can't show. Thanks so much for being here. I'm Jamie Markley. That's David van camp. And this is the van camp show. All right. What are you doing? The Mark Twain van camp show. I feel like I'm going to defend Sean Penn. And I I don't even know if I want to do this. But I think you might understand. But the reason Sean Penn is in the news is El Chapo. Yes. So a now retired agent of the of the DA wants to see Sean Penn in jail because remember back in late two thousand fifteen. Sean Penn when interviewed El Chapo at a secret location. There was a soap opera actress who hooked him up with El Chapo. Yes. And so he went and wrote an article for Rolling Stone interviewed El Chapo now, I didn't realize this. But Jack Riley is the former DA agent he came close to seeing El Chapo, arrested on October second two thousand fifteen but the operation was interrupted because Sean Penn went to the compound where El Chapo was hiding, and so he told the New York Post. Oh my God. If I could get my hands on John Penn the people he put at risk because of that stunt he should be in jail. Because they had to cancel the operation. They couldn't put his wife at risk. They were about to nab this guy, and Sean Penn got in the way, but Sean Penn didn't know it at the time. No, okay. But he was mad gone. What's this cloud doing? And this also cost the element of surprise and allow El Chapo to escape. So just by doing the interview with Sean Penn. Yes. I wonder what Sean Penn has to say about that. Now criticism. Well, I mean, this basically writes a glowing review of El Chapo at El Chapo had the right of refusal. If he didn't like what John Penn wrote, Sean kind of defending this guy. That sixty minutes interview that aired that was January of two thousand sixteen I think funny enough with Charlie rose. Yes. The old crusty Paul himself. Right was interviewing him, and he's like, but this guy is a killer. And he says what we shared the universe. This is a guy who raped teenage girls because he gave him energy. Person. Sean Penn is like, maybe he just kind of misunderstood, okay? All right. Here's my attempt to say, Sean Penn was onto something. And I think he had a point. Okay. Late this out, please give me a second. Okay. All right. We know from Craig. Who is married to a beautiful woman from Mexico, and he has in laws in Mexico, and when we've talked about El Chapo before or. Different drug kingpins in the area. There looked on in a way that we can't understand because they take care of so many people and their loved by so many people there, right? That's not to defend El Chapo. He's an evil guy. So as I listened back to some of this, Sean Penn interview, you're looking at me like I got eight head to finish. I'm not saying anything. Okay. I think you might change your mind. His point was he wanted to get to the story right to see. All right. What is this all about? Just listen to this clip like it or not we're married to him there of our time. They're affecting us. So like a marriage, you know, you might want a divorce. Let me let me play you got to look at this person as a as a person or you're never going to have. Or is the is the argument is if all we into understand is that this is a very bad person. Then let's not understand anything else. Trying to understand the whole thing. Okay. But I get that that makes sense to me, right? Okay. Charlie then goes to. Well, what about what about those who say, this is his ego? He thinks of himself as a writer and the tradition of Thomson with the kind of experiential quality to journalists saying, Sean Pinza Haqiqi fancies himself, a journalist give me a break. Accept any of that. Do I accept that people feel that I have absolutely except that they feel that way. And are they right? Okay. So at the time as we're ripping this guy saying, no, he's not a journalist. I think about how I think of journalists now. Compared to January of two thousand sixteen to me. There are so many journalists that have lost all credibility with the way they cover certain stories or don't cover them. We're seeing it happened right now with what's going on in Virginia. We see it on the abortion issue. We see it on any number of topics the media picks and chooses the stories that it wants to tell. And I remember how many journalists were going after Sean Penn saying, the guy's a hack and everything else. And this is the point where. I'm saying, you know, what looking back on it. Now, even though I ripped him at the time. He kinda got a point with some of this stuff. Why can understand the I roll? Especially in the context of now where we're at with national news media, right? I get it. Right and go back to January two thousand sixteen before. Really everyone knew how bad it was journalists. I really sad about the state of journalism in our country. It has been an incredible hypocrisy. And an incredible lesson and just how much they don't know. And how disturbed we are. That's what I'm saying. Okay. I'm not on Sean Penn side when it comes to social issues or his worldview were polar opposite. But there he's got a point at it's played out. And then there's more journalists. Who went to say that? I'm not a journalist. Well, I wanna see the license that says that they're a journalist calling out the industry's saying where are you? I'm at least trying to tell a story, but telling a story, and I. So I break this up into two points. I understand what you're saying. When it comes to Sean Penn calling out the hypocrisy because we have certainly seen that demonstrated. I mean, even you look at the Lieutenant governor of Virginia Justin Fairfax Washington Post sat on that story for more than a year. Have another democrat the congress person who also knew about these allegations never said anything, and no one was interested in digging this stuff up. There are so many different leads that are never followed depending on and it seems to at least from the outside looking in. It certainly seems like they are picking and choosing based on ideology who to go after with the most amount of gusto, and I can understand the point that Sean Penn is making or was making at the time. And he was totally right about that. Right. Does it make giving this? Brutal drug Lord carte blanche to to to negate a story that you were writing just because other people do it doesn't make it right for him to do. Well, here he talks about what was brokered for me to have the interview with they'll chapel was that. I would. Finish the article send it to him. And if he said, no, and that was no harm. No foul to any reader. It would never be printed. It would never be printed. And this is what I see. Now. Journalists say, no, you don't let someone play you like that. You got played Charlie even says, you're not naive. Okay. Okay. We're we're all the journalists to tell the story. Lot of people had no idea. The problem was as big as it was at the time. There was no media telling the story there was no one out there, even attempting it. So at least he had that. And okay, he doesn't like it. I I don't write it. But if he likes what I know it's pen being used, but the story is out there. Well, it is kind of interesting that that all went down the same year that CNN was feeding debate questions to Hillary Clinton. Man. So I understand that it still doesn't make it. Right. What Sean Penn was doing? No writing a glowing review of El Chapo, no. Oh, yes. Absolutely. But does he have a point about journalism? Oh, absolutely. Yeah. Yes. I wrote that to use it as a pillar for an article about the policy of the war on drugs. And in the end what he say, let's go. Let's go to the big picture of what we what we all want. We all want this problem. The stop. So for all of the journalists back in the day Rippin, this guy and the ones that we know only take certain facts or twist them to where the really not true. And that's the part of the story while omitting other things Rippin this guy that never does it. Well, that's freaking sweet now is the big BuzzFeed bombshell from a couple of weeks ago. Yeah. The only request for comment was I know you're not going to comment on this. But just by the by that's all they asked Robert Muller's office. Right. Okay. So do you see do you at least agree with me that he had a point about journalists journalism? Yeah. Okay. Good mission accomplished. Right. Do you wanna learn anything about Cuba? Sure, why not. Learned about Cuba. Could not go through a whole, Sean. Segment without rolling out some old speeco. Okay. There's other stuff that we still need to get to did. You know, the rock was the first choice to host the Oscar, son. He knew what was coming. He's smart enough for that, you better believe that also your girl AOC Alexandria. Oh, Cossio court has an update on green energy, man..
