"You go to financial issues died, or you can click on either one of those, but you'll see the catalog for India partners on our website. And I hope you'll go there and sit with your Children and grandchildren. Some of you maybe have done that over Thanksgiving. But I hope you will do that because we want to continue to be a light for Jesus Christ in India. In the way of what we're going to do that is with India partners and those Organizations that they partner with to provide these animals to these villages. So we hope that you will consider India partners as you. Think about that and consider us as well. So lots lots going on. I know it's a time a year but also important. We hope that you will participate. With us in any way you can. If you Go to church. In the state of Georgia. Anywhere in the state of Georgia, if you go to church Don't matter what kind of church Just a church. Would you give your pastor And his wife. Hey. Amazing. Christmas present. That is extremely inexpensive. And that is three nights and all their meals, Reston relaxation as we need into a very busy season for them. To get to America. At the crossroads. I don't have to tell you folks. America is at a crossroads. And Georgia has become one of the most important states in the country right now. And we need to get your pastors to America at the Crossroads Conference. I hope you will do that that car it's going to cost you $100. To register your pastor. And his wife. $100 For that. They are going to get three meals. I mean, three meals. Not more. Three meals. Um, they're going to get all their meals. For their time. If they spend Thies these three days. Had an amazing Resort. And this resort, the Calloway Resort and Gardens. Pine Mountain, Georgia. It's an amazing place. And they're going to hear some teaching and training in apologetics. Just some fire in the pulpit for what we need to do on what our pastors need to do. We aren't enough place in American pastor in America that pastor Where we're losing her. Losing America. And I don't mean to sound harsh. But you Partly responsible. Because there are too many pastors in America that don't want to be leaders. They just wanna where I'm gonna teach. You know, I'm gonna go through the Bible and, you know, I'm gonna pray for people and visit the sick and all that stuff's important. You got to do that. But this is the time When you say Don't want to be a leader and you do the right thing by stepping down. Get off. Get out of the church. Retire, Go to another job. Because we need leaders. In the pulpit. Not we, as in your congregation, we the people need leaders at the pulpit. What you do, say Act preach, teach from the pulpit. Will permeate the pews. If you don't teach what is right that to will permeate the pier CompuServe's and you will be turning those sheep over to the world for their training. We are asking you to feed your flock. Be a leader and guide them on. What? You gonna guide them with You gonna guide them with God's word? Yes. But you have a staff and a rod. Maybe not physically but you have a spirituals Staff and Raj. You know what Shepherd does with the staff. Shepherds in the day would fight a wolf. Bear even They would fight off with their staff to protect their sheep..

Three men were arrested for kidnapping a turkey and bringing it to a vodka party in the woman hallucinated for months after eating five day. Old gas station sushi. These are the weird stories for monday on weird af news the only daily weird news podcast hosted by a comedian. I'm recording in a closet. That's why the wall. So close to me. Mysterious monolith updates. I did a story a week or so ago. About a mysterious monolith that appeared in the utah desert will that one's been removed. Then another monolith appeared in california which was destroyed by racists who proclaimed christ is superior to space aliens. Another monolith appeared on california's pine mountain another model. If pops up outside of pittsburgh candy store and another model appears on the isle of wight beach so we get some crazy monolith drama going on around the world. i don't know where the motivation for creating mysterious monoliths and poking them up in various environments is coming from. I guess it's really lockdown boredom. What do you think people just locked down there like. I need a project. what could i do well. I can make a bar for squirrels. Or i don't know i got all this medal back there. I make a monolith. i'm feeling phallic today. So let's begin with that mysterious model. That was destroyed in california. It was torn down overnight by a group of right wing. Young men who live streamed the vandalism in a video that was posted on a streaming site in the video. A group of three men are seen pushing the statue over enchanting america. First and christ is king. The men one of whom was wearing a make. America headband called part of the monoliths construction quote gay and then they replaced the gay monolith with a wooden cross gay model. Get this game. Monolith oughta here put up the cross all right. Let's do some manley things around here. The article says this is decidedly bleak. Turn in the ongoing monolith. Saga that has generally been delightful distraction for a world wracked by pandemic. Here's a quote from some of these idiots in the video. They said crashed his king in this country. We don't want illegal aliens from mexico or outer space. So let's tear this bitch down. I don't know what illegal aliens from mexico or have to do with the monolith that they were tearing down. Did they think that an outer space you photo or alien being put that. They're like aliens. Have nothing better to do than to put a little piece of metal in the middle of nowhere people who are out of their minds men. This particular monolith was discovered wednesday morning atop pine mountain in a task darrow by a group of hikers. It is the third silver monolith to be found in the past weeks. The article says the first in. Utah's red rock country which covered in an article previously and then shortly after another was found on a hill in the romanian town of piatra named which i did not cover. 'cause i didn't think this model is saga was gonna continue. It's just never ending never ending. By the way. I've done comedy on pine mountain in california before and it is beautiful country. I'll tell you right now. I had a fabulous time up pine mountain shout out to the community that lives up there. They treated me so well. Got me a nice spot by the pool during the day. Fed me as many alcoholic beverages. As i've needed and took me to carry karaoke after the show. It was just fabulous. The people of their great they. Just apparently they're anti monolith which i had no clue let's get to the other monoliths that were discovered it was one that pops out pops up outside of pittsburgh candy store. It says Since november mid-november shining medal monoliths have suddenly appeared and then vanished in the strangest locations from utah to romania. Now one has popped up outside a pittsburgh candy store capitalizing on the intrigue surrounding the other monoliths and hoping to provide a distraction from the daily drumbeat of covid nineteen news. The owner of grandpa. joe's candy shop. Christopher beers commissioned a ten foot tall twenty four inch wide triangle of plywood covered in metal sheet. Oh so this guy just thought he would take advantage of.

"UC, San Diego geology, and ju- physics, professor Neil Driscoll and his colleagues, realized cameras, and microwave, technology. They were using for earthquake monitoring could be useful for fires. Just says they have near infrared capabilities, which means they can see fire at night. These cameras can be driven by dispatchers from far field. So now we have is in the back country and all around the state that once we get a nine one, one call. We can then hunt for smoke and detect where the fires are. So the question becomes, how do you fight a fire in California? And there are a lot of different theories out there. Do we need to thin the forests more and the front page of the Sacramento? Bee by the way, has an. Article this morning talking about should California burn. It's way to protect against fires in the future controlled burns while they were. Right. So this is all part of this discussion, by the way on a clear day visibility sixty to eighty miles up to one hundred thirty miles at night. And Driscoll says that they're used to confirm for the nine one one phone calls nine one one call still beat artificial intelligence machine learning. And so the, the call comes into dispatch, they can then check and confirm the fire, so the witnesses, it makes the phone call. And it's still the most reliable, right? He says, one example was recently in the north bay a man driving a new S one spotted smoke. And he thought it was coming from pine mountain. We checked our cameras on pine mountain. There was no smoke. We jumped over to Jason cameras on geyser peak found the fire called the Coyote fire and we're able to suppress it within an hour. So he cites the deadly campfire. We all know way too much about that. The cedar fire in southern California. These are examples he says of devastation that could have been stopped two hundred eighty thousand acres and almost made it to the great Pacific water break. So we saw four years to the day, two thousand seven the witch fire also hundred eighty thousand acres, right? Almost the ocean. This cameras of good you so far, and more conscious one tool, right? All right. So the garbage Bill and one local city is skyrocketing in some cases quadrupling. What's going on? We'll have that story in three minutes. Always.

Anyone who was alive in Harlan county in nineteen sixty-nine probably remembers the story of a young woman found stabbed to death on pine mountain. Nearly forty years later, it's still this newscast changes everything this is where the ghost story crosses over into the real world it stirs things up in the community in brings mountain Jane Doe back into the minds of people who remember her. It's still not known who she was where she came from. And who killed her another person who happened to catch the newscasts that night was a guy named Todd Matthews. Some of my best friends are, Dan. And people say I'm sorry, but they were dead when I'm Adam. Todd has a dark sense of humor. It's how he makes it through a tough job for the most part. My day job is finding the missing among the day. The unidentified disease Todd's got here that's long in the back and.
