"That's awesome so now we craig's doing doing podcast. Obviously thought he was working that i twenty minutes booth offer the bit commit to the committee. I'm going to change the username over the letter of marquee but had to act fast. Seriously pierre i think it's just mark marquee i'm going to anyway. I think the important takeaway here is that it's natural to want to get even and i think there is a place for the military to be doing activities in the cyberspace concern is more around when you have. Companies with limited intelligence trying to take those actions with a subset of data that may not be complete. I think this is a space for the military to operate in a national security agencies. You know what. I'm even open to having the discussions about contracting right like whatever. That's that's fine. But i think that needs oversight that needs to be combined with traditional sources of intelligence that needs to be conducted as responsibly as we would conduct any other military operation. This isn't a space for people to get upset at and lash out at the private sector. And i feel like it's so ripe for abuse it would be insane to have a serious discussion that it operating solely in the private sector be allowed. You know that said as pointed out. I'm always open to ideas. And i'm always been here a different words yellow. I mean look. I'm willing to hear people out. I'm not saying. I have all the answers but to me. All i see is tremendous amounts of risks tremendous potential for abuse and very little upside so to me. I don't see how the calculation makes sense but we'll see how it goes. Joe closing thought parting shot. Yeah ripe with problems this issue. Maybe no i do i do. I did like the executive order. I think we discussed a lot of good things here. there's a lot of good things now executive order. I'm interested to see how a lot of them are implemented One thing. I did not notice another. Eeo we didn't talk about during which was funding. I didn't notice a lot of gigantic rectangle. Wires funding requires legislation. So that can be interesting. But yeah i'm excited to see the changes that have been proposed. And we'll see what happens. Matt you are in the angst today all right so brianna shout. Shout major general thomas heirs. Who kinda like rats his idea around the idea of the goodyear blimp resolute Which was put into service spotting enemy submarines. And i would say that that you know. Maybe the most critical air that that major was ignoring an organization inside of his own beloved air force. That is actually much better demonstration of who is out looking for enemy submarines from from the us mainland similar patrol was formed in one thousand nine hundred eighty two and has continuously since nineteen forty two provided an avenue for service for young men and women. Teenagers people interested in emergency services It is where i spent a bunch of my teenage energy out doing like world s q and learning leadership concepts and how air force worked and aerospace stuff. I got a ton of private flight time. And so i would say that is that is the organization that survived the war that is the organization that has provided the us no end of value continues to provide ninety percent of the land search and rescue services at the air force uses every year. And if you are a parent of a twelve to eighteen year old boy or girl you could probably in my opinion not do better than to have them look at. The civil air patrol is some way to spend their time. I was honored to to be a part of the original. Composite squadron in the maryland wing of similar of the commander there and lessons learned. There is still use every day so check that out. "A security guard at the hospital. That's how they that's how they presented it a security guard. I can't think of any. There's no security guards. At the White House. Okay, This is not this is not the mall. I guess I've had major biting. It was major. Okay. All right. That's I thought so. This is not this is not the mall. We don't have security guards. It's the White House. It was probably a cap of being a secret service. Officer like the uniformed Division, or was somebody from the Secret Service? Who's obviously in plain clothes? All right, So it was one of those folks and the dog bit him. And so the dogs air going back home to Delaware. And you know, all this excitement was made about Donald Trump never had a dog in the White House. First president do not have a dog in the line of with run with him. Well, you know, Joe Biden brought Kujoe in Now in the dog's defense. I'm sure it was a little. It's been a little difficult of a transition for the dogs, especially, you know, they're German shepherds. German shepherds are very protective of their owners. And the families they live with. They are. I love German shepherds, but it is kind of a trade. They are protective. They are. And that's how they were bred to be. You know, I mean, there there. They got this dog last gear before biting, hit the campaign trail. And as much as they want you to believe that the dog was our It's just in Delaware. There was already plans for the dogs to go to Delaware so necessarily related to this incident. Basically, there was plans for the dogs to go to a family's friend's house in Delaware during the Biden travels to military bases this week. So the dog from assuming we'll be back after this trip, huh? We'll see. You know it is a look. Let's just look at it from our own personal perspective. Danny, if we were to bring Our dogs like if I were to bring pops to the White House. Oh, God help the White house or you were to bring off fellow They would be out of sorts. Correct. It's not their typical routine. They're typical place. Raw slavic and pierre lou law right so now i'm boston it all friday night own and trying to pay attention to leave boilers do panels and whatnot. But we had a real strong sense on friday that the deal was essentially done There was a bit of a heck up that needed to get cleaned up on on saturday and it did get cleaned up very quickly saturday morning. And then they consummated the trade. What was your initial reaction when you started to see some of the speculation as early as friday and then ultimately when the deal closed on saturday while i mean of course goes back some time so it in in both cases both line a and and water their felt like there was this inevitability to it that a deal was going to get was going to get made now whether they were traded for each other or for somebody else it seemed like they were gonna get traded. This year dubois situation of course came came to a head and you knew there was some immediacy to that or felt. There was going to be so i wasn't it didn't shock value that some trades have although there's less of that than there ever was but to see two players that are so young and so good get traded for each is really quite shocking quite surprising and so Instantly of course you tried to go. Okay i do anyway okay. So line is going to columbus. Who is he gonna play with What's his house. He gonna fit into that style and the way towards coaches. and like. How's that going to happen. And where's the walking. Wait a minute winnipeg already had a really deep center ice position with With shy fleet. Staff knee and lowery. Or whatever the quarantine is going to be yeah. There was lots of that stuff. But i got a question for you. So you're in there and you get your heads up that from wherever that. Hey something's going now you chase a lot of dead ends like there's that you go. It looks like it's happening. Stop so when. Do you really get excited about something..

"Comes in two hundred fifty milliliter cans and they include ten milligrams of active CBD. How did you decide? What is the right amount to you so much? Variation is products across the spectrum. And what was behind the decision to include ten milligrams? We wanted to find the optimum quantity for helping you to feel calmer and fill more balance and more focused at work. Initially so we did a lot of efficacy testing as a team to find the right dose of the qualities that we're using to have that effect and that all many many businesses out that with different dosages. So if you wanted. Cbd before beds you would take a much higher dosage of fifty milligrams or more if you're looking at CBD. From medicinal point of view you would look much much higher again so for us bring something to the world that is common fakes at work. Ten milligrams with the optimum amount. It looks like the future looks quite promising. The demand for Seabrook's is growing steadily. So how do you see that future yourself? What kind of plans have you met for the future with in? Cheang way are very much working on building the business in the UK for now. But what we're looking. At is global trends. Cbd and what's interesting is that there is some markets like South Korea where CBD's popular and emerging places like Thailand CBD's popular. Say as we look to the future we will definitely be expanding into these four thinking countries credentials. More ABOUT THOSE TRENDS. You've been looking at what's happening globally. We know globally that people are drinking less and looking for great alternatives to coal and so with CD products. It's it's a great alternatives alcohol because you can feel Karma more focused you can switch modes have been with your friends and feel like you're drinking something more grown up without having to drink alcohol so I can see CBD very much moving into that. No low space. Let's talk about the mortgage a bit more. I'm wondering what kind of market research conducted when you were considering launching in tune first of all homeless competition. Is there at the moment? And how carefully did you think about what he's making your products difference? Let the moment. There are several bronze on the markets but CBD in injuring his fairly new emerging in the UK. Other brands are either playing on the cannabis side of things. That's kind of leaves around or very much. The medicinal side but what we wanted to create was a lifestyle brand that would appeal not busy modern people. He wants to get more out of their day. So we've gone for quite graphic look with our drinks. Was Your Target Group. Okay if we have defined that. Cd IS APPEALS. To many many people we know that there are more use of CBD than Vitamin C and Vitamin D markets combined in the UK. But because for us we're busy modern people we found that helps with focus at work. Where targeting twenty to thirty side-hustle as we call them people who have lots of different interests and lots going on and want to focus and Keenan and getting gene and just finally on a you mentioned something about your future plans already but considering how fast this market is growing what kind of goals you have for the future well for me personally having found this benefit of focus through CBD. It's just to get in a delicious and easy drinking way to as many people as possible to help them thrive and get more out of life so starting from the UK and building out to other markets in years to come what those other markets beam. That's very much. Donte regulation and consumer demand which is changing all the time so we will start to look hits. Cd Open European markets. And then let me onto the likes of South Korea and places that you might not expect to be going for. Cbd drinks but a very much open. See them talking about your future plans. I'm wondering do you have any plans to take over the nightlife anything for the boss? Absolutely we have worked with lots of bartenders in the past because my background is working with alcoholic drinks and bartenders are very open to in Chino. We've had some great tastings of meetings with bartenders. And that's because buzz are expanding their low no of frings but also looking for interesting mixes is part of that. So we're combining in cheam with the like solve ever leaf and acorn to create greats non alcoholic cocktails but also bartenders looking at making with alcohol. Hannah phones roof the new CD of trink brand in tuned..

Smells just amazing and sledding bagels dipping them in great molasses and then covering them with sesame seeds and caraway seeds although their neighbors relations between Lebanon and Syrians haven't always been positive. Tensions have been exacerbated since the beginning of the war in Syria in two thousand and eleven Lebanese blame. The one million plus Syrians who sought refuge in their country for burdening and already creaking infrastructure and failing economy. Syrians blame Lebanese for discrimination and racism. So that's where the breadcrumbs and Brent had already started a small NGO in north Lebanon. He thought that by getting Syrians and Lebanese to bake together. Prejudice isn't fears might have less space to grow. My name is Brandt Stewart American from Las Vegas originally and I came to Lebanon about seven years ago. I started to realize in order to really support a community I needed to address the needs of everyone in the community equally. Not just one segment of it just to help foster these ties. I started to see that my role as a manager of this profit is to use various common goals in order to bring people under the same in the same space and so we don't come together and talk about. Let's say peace building or community building what we have in common and what we don't have in common. We actually just focus on the common goal and I've seen through that process whether that's baking bread or whether that's education in the classroom these barriers. Junior may well soon have other bakers joining her to cope with increased demand for Monaco. In Beirut I'm Lizzy Porta you're listening to the Menu monocle twenty four. Let's then continue from our MIDORI House Studios? There's been a fair bit of excitement over canopy dial or CBD which has become a popular natural remedy. New Products are appearing regularly and also the drinks industry is following suit and one. Such new product is called into this new soft drink was launched by Hannah Glasson and she joined me in the studio to tell me more about the twins and her business. I with the idea for inch e knee range of sparkling fruit and botanical drinks with CBD last year and that was what I was having treatment for breast and three that I was taking CBD's CBD oil and found that it helped me to feel calm and more focused every day. And I worked with the way through that time and as someone feeding backgrounds. I've been working in food and drink for many years with some of the best brands in the UK. The likes of SIP Smith and through that experience. I realized that I could bring something different to the CD wild something that tasted really good and Drinks with provenance where you could trace the CD. All the way back to the source. So that's what we've done with three weeks running now and it's great to see people enjoying the drinks more about what he wanted to create you. You mentioned that you felt like you have something different to bring to the D. Well so what's it all about taste always about taste from a feed and drink background? I have admired so many great tasting products. And what would lots of great bartenders in the past? Say the first thing we did was go to some world-leading bartenders that crucible in east London and with them started to develop some drinks. We wanted to create drinks that had complexity that balanced out the CBD. Because it's quite bitter on its own and that could be enjoyed anytime day. And what kind of job was it for you to figure out what the right flavors would be. Not The moments you released with. Three Bronx Flavor are pomegranate and ginger elder flower and hops onto. The Third. One is grapefruit. Mint is a spectrum of flavors to see different tastes and we wanted to create one. That was a little bit more refreshing when that was spicier and one. That was more mellow something. That's a great will tend to alcohol. Go on launch a business like this when you had the idea that he wanted to create a range of CB detering taste good. How did you find the right individuals who have the knowledge? You need to make something like this happen. Let someone who's wet food and drink. It was quite easy to know who to go to in the flavor worlds but what was completely new to me was the world so finding a source of CD where the creators would allow us to go. All the way to the source to understand everything about it from the soil to the way that it's made to the way that it's produced into oil and then made into water. Soluble product was quite difficult and challenging. And so we tested. Many many products found a few that tasted good and that works. That helps you feel calmer off to eat. Took them and then hotter through those find one that would allow us to go all the way back to the source. And how difficult was it to find someone like us? It was a challenge for sure but we found some great Jesus of CD. And I went to the farm in northern Lithuania weather. Conditions are great for for growing hemp and met with the family business out there and really enjoyed that process you have just launched your saw over in the UK at Fordham and masons. At the moment I guess many people are still wondering when it comes to CBD products. What is the legal status? Do you find the situation confusing at the moment we'll CB is legal in the UK Zubeidi oils a very much legal and the CBD in awe drinks is legal. There is a novel food regulatory issue around. Cbd and that's a gray area at the moment so the effort say have said that products with CBD will need to have a novel food license by the end of next year and so with very much working with our surprise to make sure that that happens so that we can stay on the shelves and continue to continue to trade so had a into and.

But when you got heavyweights you were just watching the Muhammad Ali documentary his own word you get heavyweights that are at the top of the game. Or the intrigue is at the top of the game there, the cards that people wanna send Ruis is the most intriguing guy ever. Because when you think about who was the fat heavyweight, buddy. It was butterbean but he was always on the undercard. That's right. This guy. This guy is the card, and who was the fat guy, George Foreman. George Formosa verse one was when he was older. When you had like nine kids, who were all named George Foreman when he was selling grill fat burning grill, and he himself was that the right he had earned the right to be fat because you remember him in the late seventies, when he was he was a mountain of a man. He was a chisel guy. He was the guy everyone feared stepping into the ring hands of stone now to put it in context Buster Douglas, was I believe either forty one or forty two to one against Mike. Tyson. I think that has more to do with the Mike Tyson than it does BUSTER. Douglas Mike Tyson was so quote unquote unbeatable. That, that's why there was a bigger dispiriting? He has Josh has been knocked down. I mean he has been knocked down, but he comes back, but it just was unbelievable. Anthony Joshua has been dominating the heavyweight class for like four years. It's not like he's won every fight with a knockout in the firm put in a larger context then we'll get outta here. We'll get to Pierre McGuire tall. Cocky, but the larger context is Andy Ruis junior makes everything possible. He literally makes everything possible. You can be a guy who doesn't work out. You got chest tattoos on your man boobs. You he does work out, but he's just not losing weight. He's like he's like a prince fielder, you're like, are you really vegan? Your huge dude, I guess vegan, you can eat all the pasta you want fine. But I'm saying like he he is not a specimen, he isn't like a like Andy REEs junior should be on the cover of the body. You on ESPN boom. There you go. I'm just saying. He makes it all possible. He makes the normal guys magazine think is done. That's right. But I'm just saying that he, he makes everything possible. "To the Friday edition of game has conduct. I down like record. I'm coming to you live from the Meadowlands the fan sports book or could be doing the Michael cassio. And we were doing the podcast from here as well. So flee everybody is going to have a great weekend. And let's get you started with a podcast kind of a continuation from yesterday after I had finished, my podcast and give my opinion on Pierre. Mcguire. NBC reached out to me via Email to say that Pierre McGuire had responded, and unfortunately, the podcast was already up. So I wanted to take this time here to at least give Pierre McGuire statement and his apology for what had happened back on Wednesday during the lightning penguins game that we discussed on the podcast yesterday. And I defended Pierre at the same time criticized him for the words that he used and here's the statement from Kierra I've known KENDALL for years and have had the privilege of covering her. As a member of team USA of patch. Two Winter Olympic. We were all thrilled to have her. Join our coverage last night. But at times my excitement got the better of me. And I should have chosen my words better. I've the utmost respect for KENDALL as a world class player analyst of the game and role models. So clearly I figured that's exactly what he would do. And that was the right thing to do. All right. He's a good guy. He just misspoke. And I think he did the right thing by having the apology. And there was a long statement made by KENDALL Coyne Scofield and give the gist of it. She had no problem with it. Because she's known Pierre for a long time, and she completely got it. So as far as everybody being offended demanding a firing demanding this that and the other thing I felt both parties handled it well because here too here's how I feel about offense. The person that needed to be offended the most or should have been offended. The most was KENDALL. And she didn't have a problem with it. But you also understood that he misspoke. I thought it was important that you put that understatement statement as well. Because of the fact, you know, what I? I should just read it for you. Anyway, and you you can make your own determination from here. And but I'll give you kind of the gist here. As far as PR is concerned, I've known Pierre McGuire for years, I know respects me as a hockey player a woman, and a friend, and that is why I didn't think twice about our on air exchange when it happened. I didn't give it a second thought until after the game when I received countless messages, I went back and looked at the video I understand why people would think it was inappropriate. If you were watching it at home and saw a man say, this to a woman athlete would have been offended. But what I also know is how excited here was to me. And to be a part of the moment while I wish it came out differently. I know PR doesn't question my hockey knowledge. But to be honest, that's not what's important. So I both of them handle it very well..

"With Pierre McGuire between the benches for the game. Of course, she almost one speed competition and the all star game. She's a gold medal a great hockey player h twenty six and she's definitely made her dues knows understands the game. And NBC I think did a great job to give her the opportunity to share. That real estate with Pierre McGuire. And before the game started this the exchange that caused a lot of controversy in angst. Among a lot of sports fans specifically hockey fans before the game between the lightning and the penguins. Soil. Tampa is going to be on your lap going to be on your right? What do you expect out of this game? Pay me at bien analyst not to be a fan tonight. All for heaven had a game on the other hand had a tough loss on Monday. Got a little bit of the water by do jersey. Devils so exciting to see the start tonight Trouble blouse. blouse back to all right here. We go. I know Pierre McGuire fairly, well, I wouldn't say we're friends, but we've definitely crossed paths beginning with the Stanley Cup final that I covered in two thousand six between the hurricanes and the Edmonton Oilers. So we traveled a little bit got to know each other. I worked at NHL live. He used to do weekly with us. So I I certainly know appear McGuire. And I know he's a good guy. And I also know that he's an arrogant guy. I mean, this is someone that does have a bit of a chip on his shoulder. And I think he'd be the first to tell you that he looks at that real estate between the benches as his turf, and I think he does kind of perform and announce with bit of a chip on his shoulder. Maybe it comes from the fact he didn't play in the NHL and sometimes that's a little bit of a discomfort among other analysts who all played the game. He did coach, of course with Hartford and with Pittsburgh. And I think he belongs there. There's no question about it. But I wonder if there may be a little bit of sensitivity to the fact that he feels like he has to be a little bit more over. The top because he did not play the game the way a lot of other guys in that situation, especially on the national platform have. But that's just the way he is. And he's very protective of space. And I think sometimes that may come across as him being sexist or him being a little bit in the wrong in this particular situation. I don't think he meant anything negative. I don't think he was looking down at Kendal at all. I just think he misspoke, and where I believe he misspoke the most of it because I'm not even going to get into you know, Tampa will be here. Pittsburgh would be there because they weren't at the respective benches. And I'm sure he knows that she knows the difference between Tampa Bay Lightning in Pittsburgh penguin. I think he was just trying to be a little bit understanding of that. This is the first time that she was doing this. Maybe he was a little condescending at the fact that he is a pro at this, and she has never done it before. So maybe he was a little over the top when that came to fruition. But we're I think he misspoke was when he said now, you're. You're being paid as an analyst. Now, you're not a fan. We'll fans never on the table..
