"You try to hold me I'm rollin James Moore Arthur Alexander, yeah just before and it was buzz casing who wrote that make John just came in and said, buzz, I said, yep, buzz wrote it. That's for sure, but that's Arthur Alexander. And a fine fine 1962 record soldier of love. All right, so 888-876-5593. We're talking to John and Covington. And you know, I love the tabloids. So stories like art and his downfall are pretty amazing here. So here's the deal. I read where he would have gotten out on early release from Florence when he was doing the federal time, but apparently they discovered he was gambling from prison. If you could believe this. So he never. Yeah, never. I heard a thing. Right, never. Never stopped gambling. Anyway, he gets out and but the other thing is they're claiming. And this was in January of this year. After, of course, they have to, you know, they have to plead guilty to the fact that he was using cocaine because they found him unresponsive from cocaine in this Hampton inn in Ohio. Okay, so fine. But his lawyers are claiming, look, he has dementia, and he has Parkinson's, and he can't send him back to jail. This is January 5th. After that, it's been like the cone of silence. I've heard absolutely nothing. So what have you heard? Pretty much, yeah, that's about it. Really? I do know, I do know in between this last prison. He was in before. And then when he got out, he did, he was hosting talk show, I mean, on a real small station in Cincinnati. Which one? Is 1360? My God. Right. It's heyday. That was no small station. As a kid, oh my God. Casey but Trotsky. Well, absolutely. You betcha. And he's still around in Southern California now. But yeah, I remember their studios were a west 8th and maps in place. And I was going to say, I remember when Charlie Murdoch got the job as general manager there. I'd gone to visit him and he says, look at this view, what I'm looking out the window. And he's looking at the queen towers and the pool with all the girls. I'm like, oh God. Well, that's quite a view. Yeah, right, exactly, but I was looking my God. It was a beautiful view of downtown too. So yeah. Okay. Quickly, have you ever, if you've been the keen one? Have you ever been in the back way? To get to the track? I'm sure I have. Well, you would take exits 6 and that put you on state route 1998. And it's called old Frankfurt pike. Right, absolutely. Yeah, oh, so you've been there. Yeah, you can go across the railroad. You park down by the water tower and then it's quite a walk. You walk past the stables and things like that. Yeah. So also during that time period, they had Phyllis stiller. I guess you would do it for whatever she would do it for Oklahoma park residents or whatever. But she would do, I guess would call it a syndicated commercial. And I don't know what she was pushing, but it was kind of cute. She would say. Oh, my horse, I bet a horse the other day. He went off to 5 to two. Didn't cross the wire till two 30. And then also there's a trotting track and Lebanon Ohio passed the golden lamp as you know where that is. Yeah. Yeah, anyway, it was called Lebanon raceway. Now I think it's called Northfield. They had, we were just race track bumps. I mean, we all worked full time, but we were single. We were just raised track bumps. But they had a really good deal. You could get open faced roast beef sandwich or with mashed potatoes or open faced meatloaf with mashed potatoes. And a rowing rock cream for 5 bucks. And we were just raised track bumps. No, they had to at Lebanon, they had that enclosed grandstand. It was the last thing closed thing. Yeah, I remember that. And yeah, the cradle of drivers, of course. Yeah. Half mile track. Right. Yes. Yeah. Well, I'll call you again soon. I'm Kevin and I appreciate your time. All right, if you know what happened to art, if he's back in jail, let me know because I can't find out. Okay. All right, thanks, appreciate it. Yeah, like I said, January 5th, he was in court and you know, obviously he was guilty, but and this is a real fall from grace. I mean, this was a guy who was a star all the way around. And just like I said, good-looking guy, quarterback and all that. And yeah, just addicted to gambling. And then he did this ticket scam where he sold millions of dollars of tickets, but except nobody ever got him. And he was one of those. And so that's why there were federal charges as well on that one. But all right, now before we get to Stacey, Stephanie has advice for Stacy, so let's find out what it is first. So Stephanie, welcome back to WGN radio. Thank you. Thank you, first I want to let you know, I totally enjoyed the request. I loved hearing mind. And then the bunker hill oh yeah. Oh, it was a blast. And I love soldier of love. But what I want to say to Stacy is and this part, I worked in healthcare went way back when. And worked with an agency that taught was complaints against licensees, but my own 30 years ago I had an experience where I got a severe sinus infection that would not heal. And I went to this doctor that had taken care of my aunt, but here's an absolute and here you had a reputation for being just an absolute jerk. Really impatient, really temperamental relate. But I want to tell her that first of all, you know, people sometimes will say, oh, it's just blow it off. It's just put up with it. People patients, you're going in our lives. You're vulnerable. Okay. And you don't sometimes know how vulnerable you really are emotionally or psychologically. You have a right to be treated with absolute respect and kindness and sensitivity and have your questions answered. I was very disturbed when I heard respiratory. I felt really bad. And I would really definitely make it a priority to find somebody else. This guy, I initially had surgery right away. And I would not go back to my post surgical. I was referred nurses alone nurses really know about how doctors and other professionals and this one nurse mentioned this other doctor, your ear nose and sort of doctor and I went and I was so glad not only was she extremely confident, but just an absolute absolutely wonderful person and her nurse was to treat her like a human being. I'm just respect, but also if you actually would have fun. When I would go in there, so also I was thinking to she gets a wound nurse or wound care person if they could help her with the toenails. It is always easy because my back gets stiff sometimes. I'm real short, but getting putting your feet up on pillows or propping yourself up with pillows and stuff. Can be helpful or maybe soaking hot tub first. And then doing it. And filing a complaint or complaining if it may or may not make a difference. I mean, I don't necessarily tell people, I don't push people to do that. It can be helpful for the people to know about this person, but you know, you don't deserve that. That is just ridiculous. But the other people that will kind of just one time or just ignore the person or whatever, that's garbage. So anyway, I just loving your show and I'm thinking about Scottie and lost all you guys, this really is a family. You know, we have a community here and I just want to thank you all, especially you, Raleigh. So what are your requests? I know you got requests. Oh, I sure do. Oh, yes, yes, yes. I was going to request soldier of love.

"Never. No, but then but then it's a long even when you get the validation of everybody and everyone loves you and thinks you're the best. And you finally get it. Yeah. And then you go, oh, is that all there is? Because wait a minute, I'm still it's still me. I still wake up. It's funny you say that. My dad did say to me. I'm loving everybody gets to hear this, by the way. One thing my dad was a wise dude, my dad, you see him and he goes, just remember this, man. Whenever you get to this level of success that you think you'll be happier when you get there that house or like whatever people reading a book or whatever your show or whatever it is, he goes, just remember you have to bring you with you when you get there. And I was like, that's really because my dad had worked on himself and his sobriety, right? He's like, you're going to bring you when you get there. There's nothing more true in the world than that. No. I'm sure you still do this now to this day. It's like, I still mean when I'm there. It's still me in the car alone when I'm driving no matter. What the car is or where I'm going, it's me and how I feel about me. Of course. What I really believe about me. But speaking to your audience, because for anybody listening to this, I think the most powerful tool that changed everything for me was my mind. This is everything. And I know you know this. Because we've read the same books, Phyllis stiller, I read in one of her autobiography, the magic of believing. The magic of believing read that book, and I started to read that when I was like 28. And but before that, I had read existentialism in philosophy class. And what is that about self determinism? You can choose your life. This idea is radical. Sartre choose choices, and I went, oh, you're right. Life can push me around, or I can move the ball. And to me, this is the biggest lesson that I try to teach my boys. Hey man, if you don't take charge of this whole thing, it's going to take you away like a current. Man. Right? And they don't teach you this in school, really. Yeah. And it makes me nutty. You can choose everything is a choice. Everything. And read and read it, read a book and it makes me sad other than, of course, the power of moral hello. That the reading is like, guess what?
