"Is unique yep there are four oh four eight seven two zero seven fifty is the number Scott is and can saw Scott your own home fixes show rocks in does know how to say no good morning good morning how are you good good let me take it off your heads I have a new phone are not a new phone tech support close twenty minutes ago I I put in a new floor took out the carpet put a heart for it and it was a little gap between the base or so I decided to take out the baseboards but the baseboards before I put the new baseboards on I want to know if there's a some type of something I could do to seal the gap from this glove the wall just yet two by fours in the sheet rock sure sure sure yeah just go along you get a can a great stuff for their actually I think is a product by locked Loctite that why is Israel it's only good with boats and wondering a boat out of the screen but I believe there's a water based product also that works really well when you talk about that a long carburetor you know nice flooring so if you make a you know mess it's easier to clean up and some of that other product but the yet to score a good beat up against the you know behind the baseboard with a with a dry walls come down to the sub floor right yeah you'll feel it it'll make a difference especially on a cold winter day you'll feel so you're talking like that expanding phone yes Sir Mr can't a great stuff but yeah if you can find a water based or water clean up oecta makes it is these otherwise just make sure you got a good pal ready to go because then you're wearing gloves and wearing gloves your word that you can wear that a that spending phone for a long time and I don't have the little gloves on is it expanded phone waterproof water proof thank you the the it will be water resistant I mean it's not gonna stop water from port if that's what you get now but I mean it's if it gets wet it's not gonna hurt it I appreciate the call yes thanks thank you Scott four oh four eight seven two zero seven fifty is a number that's a good thing to get done if you got carpeting in one room and you wonder why it's always dark around the edge yeah because of the heirs sucking into another room in a season that carpet for a filter and what's that called let's call conference filtering stack affect yeah one forty five we get two minutes and forty seven seconds let's talk stack effect we're kind of in between the stack seasons right exactly because this is you know it's near warm or cold so we had a call earlier man had smells in is in is a crawl space correct it was snowing at inside his house and wondered what that was all about and that's kind of where the stack effect can begin so here's got us working on this tech to stack of we need like these unusual glass of Bourbon into some of that little by winning their Z. on your knees yeah yeah yeah stack effect is basically like a chimney effect if you look at your fireplace and get the stack of go into the stat going up to Jimmy and so on so forth house works very similar to that so their basement you crawl spaces is it's the low pressure airs Paul being sucked in from those areas drawn up into your house all the way up through the house threw it into the gaps in the cracks like your recess can lights your poll downstairs and all these other top plates I mean people do your way everywhere you see the drywall coming into the ceiling if you go up in the attic that's called a top plate those expanding contracted so that runs along every wall on the interior walls and exterior walls and when you start to add up the number of linear feet that really ends up being a pretty sizeable hole on the view is so that's what our job as we come in we minimize these holes to it to make it as tight as possible to minimize stack effect because one stack effect is really went unchallenged I guess is that the good will is that what it would you don't reduce it it's it's now pulling in air from your windows in your door underneath your doors but when you and people think all I need to replace the windows because they're so leaky if you deal with it up in the attic whether spray foam or with err ceiling that floor it's going to minimize those those drafts I always like to think from the top down you talk about from the bottom up I think it was on the app downstairs in the summer right when either leaves your attic and that error guys it's got to be replaced by something so gets it sucks up because of warmer righted sucks up there below it now that air gets replaced by something it's like some sort of eventually you're sucking up body or what works your resume in all right or so when when your heating your house this time you well maybe this time of year you start to heat it and so that hot air is lighter so it's going to go right to those gaps and cracks in what is doing is drawing the cold air in a with it so that's outside here and so that you can rate the stack effect or basically a convection where you're paying that you just re heating air over and over and over again knew where as opposed to keeping the air in your house longer that's already warmer than the outside where you spent money on yeah right so once it comes out of the once it comes out of the vent as warm air you spent money on it that's not that your anger Meyer right I want to hang on to that you want to keep it as long as possible yeah exactly very good and that's part of what the insulation job is is to slow down well that's what we go back to it yeah the insulation helps stop reduce the the heat transfer but it doesn't stop there and that's we're talk about was stack affects so it's been mixed misleading in the trades you know if you just blowing insulation houses just automatically gonna say fifty percent there's no way it's it's not possible hard again so that's why spray foam is so cool because it's a one stop you can go in there and spray it you get to our value which is the you know the thermal resistance and then you get the air tight in air tight they're tied in part of it that the air tight part of it and we can do that two processes as well so it's just again you know we're we could do it all Arbor insulation solutions it's eleven forty eight let's call eleven forty nine I didn't break my new year's resolution to all three an hour two hours and forty nine minutes and I broke my new year's resolution it's all over using his own thanks and so on to the US the huts couple of Floyd in traffic sorry Floyd it's all over traffic some.

"Showtime makers. I wasn't alive. When your kids ask you, what can you say? I can't trust them with anything to knock your there. All right. Here we go. It was the most entertaining Thursday night game of the season so far, five far, Kirk cousins, Jared, Goff putting on a show on Thursday night football, and it starts immediately Louis Riddick. Graham second drive of the game down ten, seven second and five of the thirty. And there goes Cooper Cup. Nobody calls play acting like Sean McVay. Nobody maybe Andy Reid on Peyton, but nobody called plaques and he puts his players in position to succeed when you execute like that. That's when you can test bump on the sideline. They had the play action working all night long to the tune of over three hundred yards. But here comes cousins right back to Eldrick Robinson for touch with both quarterbacks all night long. Throwing the ball with tremendous accuracy outside the pocket roll into their right. Dare did it go into his left to look at this throw and talking about that ball, many times we'll be drift out of bounds because of your momentum and look how he puts. I mean, he basically just have to put his hands up and just let it drop in there. I mean, the guy is dialed in. You can't throw a better ball in that Cup had two touchdowns Robinson had. Touchdowns now under two minutes left in the half, and here comes a touchdown for Brandin cooks, forty-seven young. This is even fair team this up perfectly against the cover. Four look got the safety. Harrison Smith bite trade winds sitting outside levins and trying to run with one of the fastest guys in the NFL and Brandin cooks as touchdown every time. All right. Now we go to the third quarter RAMSAR up. Eleven at the half second and ten for the Vikings cousins. Adam and watch. You're going to see the replay takes a need to the helmet and they want him taking taking him out of the game for a few plays and he doesn't like it. Look. I mean, they're trying to protect players right when you see that kind of thing happened a lot of times you have to protect the players from themselves as a former player. I can tell you that way everything to her. They never think that they need to come out of the game. Sometimes you gotta do that. It would be back in on the next drive and it would make his presence felt. There goes feeling again. He's the first player with one hundred receiving yards and each of the teams I four games since Randy moss in two thousand seven. He was a patriot when he did that Vikings got the two point conversion there within three and here comes Goff again this time, Robert Wood, and it's a great setup. By Robert woods, what he knows that he's got a linebacker. Anthony, Barr mismatch on one on one with outside leverage, and he does a great job sticks outside and then the sprints down the field. It's an easy phone tech. So it's thirty eight, twenty eight. And then one a lot of defensiveness game. But the Rams big defensive lineman made some big plays here comes in and sue. Yeah, they don't have a lot of outside pass, rush, meaning, defense events come off the edge, but between sue in my man, Aaron, Donald right there, hits the vintage Warren Sapp, kind of what they call a cross top move and comes out. That's the sicne. This is a guy really who doesn't go through training camp either anymore. Now goes up in place and when it was all said and done the Vikings had this chance. You see the time let the minute and a half, and that's cousins. And that's the ending hand. You'll see it on the replay. It's the right call. The ball comes out before the arm is moving forward. It's a fumble. It's the ball game. It was an offensive showcase. It was a thriller and the Rams get the win thirty eight thirty one. The final four. No. On the season. Being undefeated it feels good..

"Coverage on one zero five seven zone. And asks STAN about TCU quarterback in what kind of playmaker. He is STAN coming up around eight thirty five this morning and today, it's very special day. If you're an apple fan, it's it's apple day as apple announces all their new products and upgrades and here to discuss our tech grew Mr. Greg and morning, Greg. How are you? I'm good good morning. So today is apple day. What are we expecting to hear from them as far as a new phone or an upgrade with the the apple watch and so forth there any new products that has apple fans celebrate celebrating and salivating this morning. Well, you know, I I always start these segments with the disclaimer that nobody ever really knows what apple is going to do until apple tells us because they're so incredibly secretive. But the rumor is that there will be three new or upgraded phones this year, and they will all look like the I forget, I just blanked is with the iphone X or the iphone ten. I can't remember which we call it. Anyway, the new iphone they're all going to have no button. They're all going to have facial recognition. And they're it's gonna feel like there's a price drop. Oh my gosh. How exciting that the the iphone X, of course, was over a grand. But what's going to happen is if rumors are correct? Is going to be an even bigger iphone X S. I love the name. Rumer iphone X s I think it's actually X s max who that's gonna be even bigger. So that the b- big iphone today is actually I think in a drop about one hundred dollars in price and the X ass is going to go up a little bit and price. And then there's going to be a smaller more, affordable iphone, and I think you know, if you look statistically, this is an important move for apple because. Phones have largely become commodity Nanno people were happy keeping their phones longer. There are more and more people with iphone six asses and sevens. And and so apple has to do things to shake that up people still love apple. But it doesn't mean that they're going to shell out seven to eleven hundred dollars for a phone every year or two. So it is going to be exciting. From that perspective. I think we'll learn about other products as well. But I think the big focus will be the phone tech guru. Greg stabbing joining us and everyone is excited to have their new phone because everyone is excited to play video games. I just saw this little stats seventy percents of Americans say they play video games on their smartphones. I'm not I'm not a big gamer. I don't think you are too. But seventy percent of people playing video games on their smart smartphones. That's a big number. Yeah. It's a huge number. You know, if you follow the business of gaming at all, you realize that this is like Hollywood sized as an industry, and this is why people were playing their spending money, they love it. There's lots of opportunity for for making money, lots of opportunity for originality and creativity. And I don't think you have some of the issues that Hollywood does you don't have all those, you know, you know, kind of annoying actors. I mean, in some cases, you do. But I mean, it's just it's just a completely new industry with great success in the entertainment world. And you know, I looked at that statistic. Seventy percent of Americans play video games on their phones. I saw two and I was spending because I'm not one of them. But I know an awful lot of people who are and I'll tell you what's coming next. It's really going to change the way you use your phone. For gaming and lots of other things. I don't think you'll see it in the iphones today. But maybe next year is we're in the year where we're going to begin seeing cities rolling out. What's called five G most people? Remember when we went from three. Yeah. More speed there. But five G is really going to change the game. Because not only is it is much as twenty times faster than what we have today. But it also has called lower latency, you know, sometimes like you wanna do something with your phone, and you're kind of tapping your foot waiting for it to respond to back. That's wait and see and the latency of five G is going to be almost zero. It's going to respond almost as fast as you ask for things really important in gaming, right? You don't wanna be gaming, and then have the game not respond to what you did. But it's also important with things like Telehealth, enabling the medical profession to take advantage of remote processes and things like peer to peer networking with cars. What are cars could talk to each other to help reduce things like accident? Wow. Us you expect five Geeta come sometime next year. Is that what you're saying? There are some cities that will begin to see it next year. There will be a much bigger role out in twenty twenty. I mean, most of us will be using. Five G and twenty twenty. And this is a big challenge for phone manufacturers. Like, apple, you know, do you don't wanna do it too early. There will be some you don't wanna do it too late because that'll drive people to other phones part of the intrigue next year with the iphones will be. Will it have five year and audit man, it'll be really interesting to watch that very good great information. Greg stabbing. Our tech guru. Keep an eye on that apple announcement today for you as well. Seven forty one NewsRadio six ten WTVN,.

"How the manufacturing process like differs with the pixel phones like what is contained what's going to be different down the line with this whole issue see thing i feel like a rambling a little bit but basically i don't think it's that big of a deal i think the phones are great on their own i think you're right i mean about growing pains from google but also about late oleg as a technology been around for a while but this is a still evolving technology and it seems points rapidly evolving like l lcd screens that are backlit have kind of like you know been figured out but we also underwear limitations oleg is going to be better but it's still it's still has issues right like apple by all accounts using this samsung panels in the iphone ten apples oh led screens got these high marks but the fact is apples got color shift there's not as much they've worked on it but it's still shifts to the blue if you go off axes and uh and then it still does has a possibility for immature attention there are several places like you can't turn off auto brightness without reading a warning that is buried three levels noun that says this may affect our wife of the screen so it's even in these high quality panels at apples sourcing it's still auled it's still evolving tack in yeah 'guga guga bit with the xl because apparently they didn't use simpson rather use like lg is a as as the source for the panel's but like it's just one of those close were so used to i i feel like all of this phone tech being come a lock down for the last few years it's been pretty pretty solid and oleg is one of those cases where it's not really solid they're still figuring it out and it's and it's it's got benefits but it's still a little bit hinky.

"That very experienced a knowledge that i think is rex so there's the regulatory complexity that say added in financial services about in the corporate cultures at similar is it is different from some the other verticals you work with so i think when when we look at the different industries it's very clear that uh you financial technologies mary we've seen a lot of corporate activity one out of four investments have come from venture arm and ask for years now it's a lot more actively than i'd say will be seen in healthcare or evening shirts and then when you maps in of the emerging technologies across some of the activity uh so for example watching a we'd we'd say financial the public to three years had of any other and the any other industry i know at least a your head of endurance probably cheers at out um so there is a lot more to be from the investment perspective i think secondly down we see that there's a a significant shift in retail back and particular alvin his i wonder what we're seeing in the retail domain general uh consolidation of brick and mortar bomb mible of particular markets there's a lot of folks being laid off replacements acknowledgee i'm so in that case there is almost this impetus this quick kinda neat to act fast and i think with that we've seen in the past four years number of these advise with fifty million 100milliondollar funds which to me three points towards yeah they're they're responding to pretty significant change if you chuckle out of the margins for these products as well on you'll see it's a very different ballgame animas five years ago have you seen an evolution in the types of solutions and may be the approaches in the she this uv cohort for up the phone tech vertical a house that changed over the years so i think if there's one area we've seen a significant question i mean generally because of our partners in the and how we play were were very much infrastructure and viewed the organs so i argue that the less sexy domain not cure facing not sniffing growth so we're not talking about something that everyone will talk about it uses functional word or you things like that but um you know when you when you look at at say the three.
