"I don't know why it took him this long. If a basketball novice like me, as soon as they sign him, I said, haven't come off the bench. Don't even start, haven't come off the bench. Let him feel more important than what he really is. Instead of, hey, I'm going to be in the starting lineup here. I don't want you in the starting lineup. You can be off the bench and you can be helter skelter. Go out there and just go. Yeah. Yeah, we don't care. We already know that you're 6 four from UCLA. We don't need them to announce that you're introduction. Just ball. And it guard. 6 four guard out of UCLA Russell Esper junior the third. You know, I've been on a crusade for years now. And we had the commissioner of the NBA on and here is, well, I asked him about why are players allowed to carry the ball now more than ever? It's a tough call to make, first of all, I think it may be that the rule needs to be changed because the way the rule is now written is that you can't put your hand under the ball completely under the ball or bring it to a pause. I think in some cases, if you really broke it down, the players hand is actually on the side of the ball, not under the ball, and that crossover happens so quickly, and there's no pause. I'm not sure it technically.

"There are a couple of first last night in that World Series, first time in World Series history, the first run of the game was scored via a bases loaded hit by pitch, never happened before. Let's see the Astros are the first team all time to score the first 5 runs of a game in three different games of a single World Series. Bryce Harper, the first reigning MVP with a stolen base in the World Series since Jose canseco gained four of the 1989 World Series. The oldest player with a stolen base in the World Series since 2001, the 5th oldest to steal a base in World Series history, Julie guriel. In case you were scoring at home or by yourself. He's on the astronauts. Yes, he is. Yes, he is, yes he is. All right, we have a Washington commander's bet. Pauly, here's you got only one choice in the bed.

"Was that a no hitter? It was. It wasn't the no hitter that Don Drysdale pitched by any means and his was a perfect game, but you know, any time you do something that is very difficult, whether it's 5 pitchers or two pictures, it's a pretty incredible feat at this time of the year. You know, nobody had shut down the Philadelphia lineup. Nobody, no starting pitcher, no collective staff, and this was this was much needed for Houston if they were going to win the series. They had to kind of punch the boys that were making a mockery of all the starting pitching at home. You mentioned, I think Don Drysdale, Don Larsen, through the Tom Larson. Through the perfect game. But you start to look at this. Is this just a one off Kyle schwarber said I don't care if we got no hit. We lost a game, but how big of a loss is this or how big of a win is this for the Astros? I think it's a bigger win for the Astros. They have more depth and they're more confident in their ability to pitch because they've done that all year. For the Phillies, just another loss. That's exactly what I would say, whether you, you know, sometimes better lose this way than lose by one run every time you get in a situation where you could answer a question like what if this would have happened. So I think for really the Phillies,

"All righty, let's go to John Heyman. I heard him on WIP, I believe. Last 6 months or so. Let's welcome into Philadelphia. Hey John, welcome to town. Thanks very much for joining us. Oh, it's great to be with you. So John, are you covering the World Series? Is that why you wrote this? I normally do, but I have skipped the three in Philadelphia, but I did pick the Phillies, so let's go Phillies. Oh, okay. Will you pleading on the mercy of the court before the gavel comes down? So, John, if I had a characterize this, you said I almost feel sorry for the Astros almost. I know it's not the easiest organization to work up a good cry for, but they're headed into Philly for game three at one game apiece. And you just know it's going to get ugly. You seem to be saying they paid their pound of flesh or there's a statute of limitations on this. It happened 5 years ago. Why make the argument? It's not fair for Phillies fans to use that as their attack point as fans, if you will. Well, I mean, when someone does something wrong they are sentenced to you normally it's a limited term. So I'm being hopeful. I don't think that there's a great chance of this as someone who wore a cheese head in the end zone scenes of an eagles packers playoff game. I understand the fans are very passionate as they are in New York. And you know, I wrote a column pleading with the Yankee fans to lay off Altuve because it wasn't working. And it was just making him play better. And they didn't listen. So I'm not expecting to leave fans to listen and I get it 2017 was an ugly episode. My feeling is L two lay is one of the few on that team who didn't cheat who didn't take the signals the pitch signs and also there's only four or 5 guys left from that 2017 team. But I understand the fans are the fans. But he benefited from that. Now, would it take it a lot? Arguably, Verlander two. They benefit it from that. The World Series champions forever. All right, but why is Altuve the one that targeted more than anybody else? But he's the most prominent player. I mean, Carlos Beltran isn't there. He's going to be dismissed forever. You know, I don't know what else you would say to Altuve if you were a fan. I mean, it's the team. And John, you say this is a city, too. That booed Santa Claus. I mean, do you know how in Philadelphia how tired people get of that that booing of Santa Claus? Well, I'm going to assume that most people reading are not from Philadelphia and don't know that story. And that's the most famous and funny one. So I know it's been repeated a million times and it's cliche to people in Philadelphia, but I would venture to guess that the other people on the Internet are not aware of that. Okay. But what I'm saying is, though, Philadelphia gets an awful reputation that we're animals, we're the worst fans nationally, right? And this just continues to add to that. I would argue, yeah, there have been instances. There are certain examples we could all bring up. But that by and large, it's the intensity here, particularly with Philly's fans. I mean, these are families more related to it. Eagles fans, we could have a different conversation. Today, we're off. I have to say nothing physical. It was only verbal. So that was okay. But I could take it. Yeah, I mean, they're passionate, which is the word that I used. I'm hopeful that they won't be that terrible to them, but I have no expectation. And like I said, Yankee fans were the same way. I just think Altuve is being needlessly targeted. It wasn't his thing. Okay. All right, yeah. I like him as a player. So yeah, I don't have any problem with him. Now John, another part. You talk about their light hitting catcher using an illegal back. Didn't he don't you get a directive. The reason for the illegal bad is it shatters more easily. So there must be an advantage to the wood, but the downside is a chatters, why wouldn't he have known that, do you know? Hey, it's veneta. I was talking to my Friends over at Flint hills resources pine bend refinery recently. They were telling me about a partnership. With the environmental initiatives project car program. I mean, we were talking about 600 people in eerie. We had standing room only in an event in a Democrat working class neighborhood outside of Pittsburgh. My opponent went a couple of days later. We had four or 500 people. I couldn't account it. Like I said, standing room. My opponent showed up a couple of days later. And I think he pulled in a whopping 15 or 12 people. I mean, so. That's a lot more than I would have expected for him. They have to crop in, Charlie, so you can't see the empty room. I mean, with us, we just pan the audience. "And you got to take your chances, you know, I don't think they I think they were too timid, you know? I mean, I understand Contreras wasn't moved. So nobody paid the price, but, you know, went in there with a catching tandem that was good defensively. Really not great offensively. Did not have the righty DH, did not poke up their bullpen like they needed to do. I understand Scherzer is great. I understand the grum is great, but you need more than one great relief. I mean, out of vino and Lugo are pretty good, but you needed more than out of being a Lugo. And they just didn't do it. That is true. They didn't do it. And you know, there were other pictures that were left off that roster. Taiwan walker wasn't there. Taiwan walker, who I've been very loudly trying to say to as many people who will listen that he's been kind of an unsung hero of this met staff for not just this season, two seasons in a row, especially the debacle that was the 2021 season. So the mets are in a very unique spot here because they're hitting to an off season where, as of right now, as of now, I should really say, they're losing to Grom. They're losing nimmo. They're losing Diaz or losing basset aravind that you just mentioned. Lugo that you just mentioned. So the question is, I think out of vino and Lugo or as good as gone personally, but that's not because of any other reason. I just think they can upgrade those spots. There's no way to Grom is going to be pitching for anyone but the mets, right? No, I wouldn't say that's a definite, you know, he's very upset about that contract. He is going to opt out technically not a free agent yet. He will not, he will opt out, understandably. I mean, he's worth more than what's left on that contract. It's about 30 million guaranteed for one year left, plus a team option. Plus there are all these deferrals, so I get it. He's worth more, even at 60 innings. He's worth more than a one year deal, and he's going to get certainly at least a multiyear deal, he's a two year deal, some people get it. Then go get a three. I did a poll for the New York Post. Someone thought he'd get 5. I don't know, I think that's a guy who probably has a ground bobblehead in his bathroom or something. I don't know, but he's going to get a good contract much better than he's got. I would let him go through 64 innings this year, 4.3% of the season 4.3% of the innings that they needed. I mean, is it really worth spending 40 million plus on a baby? I think Texas might do it. I'm not sure who else. You know, to me they got too many other issues. This idea that this one, two punch is so great. I mean, if the starting pitching was as valuable as they say, the braves would have won more than one World Series, the Phillies, when they had holiday and Lee and all those guys, they didn't win. They won when they had before when they had Hamilton with their starters. I think the idea that this one two punch is, you know, gives you such an advantage. I think it's overrated, you know? I think when you get to the postseason, to me, I'd rather spend the money on the bullpen, they think the bullpen is, you know, I'm reliable, I don't know, they're going to have to bring Diaz back. I would try to bring nimmo back that's not going to be easy. You know I got a lot of work to do. They're going to have to spend a lot of money. They don't have the prospects that other teams may have. They do a baby potentially for third base and average for catcher, if not next year than a year from now, but they're going to have to spend a lot of money. Fortunately for them, they do have Steve Conan as their owners, so they do have a lot of money. They do. And it's funny. Nimmo is actually D as I completely agree. They got to bring him back. But nimmo is such a unique one to me. I just feel like nimmo nimmo is a good ball player. I played with nimo. He's a great guy. But I feel like someone in Major League Baseball is going to overpay for nimmo and nimmo will never do what he just did this year last two years ever again. And I know it's going to be the White Sox. Why? Because this just has White Sox written all over it. It could be, I mean, you know, they're a little short on the left, lefty hitting department. He would fit there. He'd fit a number of teams. He has been great the last at least the last couple of years. You know, we saw what ellsbury similar skill set get, what did he get over a $150 million? 9 years ago, right? It's going to be a large contract, probably a lot larger than any of us figured to start the year. Yeah. I'm not sure if he made his quite as much money as Aaron judge with the year that he had, but he made a lot of money and, you know, I mean, obviously the mets could move Marte center and live with that and maybe bring in a power hitter for right field. I don't know that it's going to be Aaron judge. I think the mets like everybody else thinks the likelihood is judge goes back to the Yankees, but I mean nimmo was wearing that uniform an hour later taking pictures.
"phillies" Discussed on Big Time Baseball
"On the radio and with me as always the legendary. The one, the only quite frankly, if you don't follow him on Twitter, you do not exist as far as I'm concerned. John haman, how you doing, John? I think there are a few people who don't follow me, but very nice. Thank you for that very nice introduction. You're welcome, John. We are now an officially, I mean, I guess we can kind of call it week two of the playoffs. I mean, we got through a great and I do mean this. A great wild card weekend. I don't want to brag, but I was right about just about everything with the exception of the Phillies because the Phillies are just pure chaos, which is making them borderline one of the most fun teams to watch because you just simply don't know what you're getting in to inning. What do you got on the Philly's job? Yeah, I didn't have that one correct. You're much smarter than I am. You know what? In a short series, they are very dangerous. Obviously, Wheeler and nola are excellent. They have a terrific lineup. You're right. You do not know what you're going to get. We didn't know because the honors. We knew we could hit. We didn't know he was a great outfielder as well. It turned it around. I mean, look, the mets beat them 14 out of 19, the regular season really pounded them. Of course, some of those games came before rob Thompson was installed as the manager they have completely turned it around and they're alive. The mets are not alive and those were my two surprises. I'm apparently in an American League expert only. Well, I mean, let's be real clear. Who even picked the Phillies to get into October going into September? Let alone. Yeah, and but yeah, well, you mentioned it. We might as well get into it because the wild card round had some early exits, and of course there was the rays. Of course, there was the Blue Jays. We just mentioned the cardinals who got knocked out by the Phillies. I expected the Blue Jays because I really have a good feeling about the Seattle Mariners going into that series. I do not have the same feeling about them facing the Astros, but then again, I don't have that feeling about it any team facing the Houston Astros. But it says here on the rundown, who's the biggest disappointment of the team's knocked out? Let's be real. It's the mets. I had a witness that's funeral, boy, that was ugly. I mean, this is a team that was up ten and a half games. All they had to do was win one game in Atlanta, of course. The mets being the mets. They do not beat Atlanta. You know, I don't know what the reason is for that. You know, we know the Yankees have the number of the twins, but it does feel like the braves have the number of the Met sprays are a really good team. I get it, but meth should be able to win occasionally. They didn't do it. Put themselves in a bind. They were in a tough spot. I've been a lot of luck rooms or clubhouses. We call them in baseball. That were really depressed and really upset. You know, even though they weren't one O one, they were early eggs, it did not feel that way with the mets. I think they were resigned once they didn't beat the braves and they had this gauntlet to navigate and not only the Padres who were very improved after the deadline and as we know, but then they were going to play the Dodgers and then maybe the braves will see about that, but you know, I think they got it. They needed to beat the braves one game. They didn't do it. And that pretty much was the end of the story. And I was blown away. Just every single network. Every network. It's not like one or the other. Everyone when you see picking the two teams everyone's face have a met's logo underneath them because no one gave the Padres a chance and hell to win that series. I really thought the ponder is we're gonna win the series like you just said about the mets going into the series. I didn't like the way they looked. You know, as much as you don't want to sit around and talk about culture and as much as we'd like to pretend that there isn't, you know, we look at baseball as finite numbers. This is the numbers. This is what should be taking place. But there are intangibles that you simply can not quantify no matter how much you want to. And you just mentioned that losing that series to the braves. That was just a death blow to this team. Yeah, I feel like it was. I mean, they had to win one game, couldn't do it. And then, you know, there came up one game short there. They came up one game short against the Padres. They went out with a whimper, one hit must grow with obviously fantastic, give him credit. He did not cheat. He did not do anything wrong. You know, I understand the mets, they saw the spin rate was much better, you know, I guess buck shoulders in a position where he's damned if he does damned if he doesn't. He went out there, looked bad. No question about it. Muskrat was not cheating. He's legitimately outstanding pitcher. He's one of the best breaking balls in the game. It's Keith Hernandez told me from his hospital bed. He's good. They've got talent and one more thing I'll say about the Padres versus the mets. Padres went all in at the deadline now, soda wasn't himself, still isn't. I don't think he's coming around. Bells did not do great with the Padres. He did have the big home run there against Scherzer. You know, he struggled initially, but I mean, these are really good players. There are a much improved team. The mets, they kind of rested on their laurels. They'd already spent $290 million. They thought, you know, one pick up here and there. You know, we already got a huge lead. You know what? They needed one more win somehow some way and they did not get the bullpen fixed. They needed. They did not get the right handed DH. I mean, is it that hard to get? That seems like the easiest thing to fill right handed DH, they never did it, and you know, I know there weren't a lot of options, but hey, the Padres got a great switch hitter. They got a great left handed hitter. They got a great right handed hitter at the deadline. They went all in, they traded 5 great prospects. The mets weren't willing to give up any great prospect they bragged that they kept their 19 top prospects at the deadline and now look where they are. They have those prospects, but they're out. Great. And here's the problem with that 19 prospects. You get 26 roster spots at the big league level. There is a solid shot. You do not see all 19 of these prospects and certainly not for long term. Right. I mean, the prospect, you never know. I mean, the mets event many 5 tool prospects who basically either got a cup of coffee in the major, really did not turn out to be what they hoped to be they had an outfielder named Escobar. They had an outfielder named ochoa. It's probably 5 or 6. I don't even remember half of them outfielders who were 5 tool outfielders. You don't know. You don't know which ones are going to turn out.
Musgrove pitches hometown Padres past Mets 6-0 and into NLDS
"The Padres have moved on to the national league division series against the Dodgers after eliminating the mets 6 nothing in game three Austin nola whose brother Aaron pitched the Phillies into the divisional round hit his team into the next round two Nola hit a two run two out bases loaded single in the second off Chris Bassett to give San Diego a two zero lead at never relinquished Joe musgrove meanwhile stifled the mets giving up just one hit and 7 innings of shutout ball You go over in your head so many times as a kid about getting the ball on the biggest moment on the biggest stage and this is something that we do a lot of visualizing on in the off season is moments like this The Padres also got RBI singles from Trent Grisham Manny Machado and Juan Soto who drove in two Tom New York

Then they'll be let back in the sandbox skid right now has done in the rivalry pantheon the conversation we had about dodgers padres rivalry being a little more heated than the dodgers giants. Rivalry will always it's going to take is for the series to come back around dodgers giants. You realize what the separation is and that rivalry heats all the way. The puck backup. Yeah hey. I'm not saying it's dead. Oh i am just highlighting. How a lot of the buzz. Oh yes been taken out of it because shitting bed now actually. I don't even want to say they should the bed. Like they're they're fucking game of a playoff spot but they've been playing subpar baseball for about a month now what that is in my opinion the definition of shitting bed. You can't just yeah but you can't say that they tanked because they've never been in first or even threatened for it it's been it's been dodgers giants year. They've been they've been scrapping. The haitian wildcard spot. note out. i mean it has been a dogfight all seven seven-game swing with them in the reds. Yeah this this this doesn't change. You got anything to say about your cardinals. They're just kind of hanging there. There's not much going on. there's not much to. It just feels like a very blase time period right now. They got jack. Flaherty back made what to starts scott. I think he's got his third one coming up to the i mean not kind kinda. Just they're they're they're they're i mean like where we find out five six out the cardinals from the lead of the division not division from the wild card lead wildcard four and a half a half month out of the fucking division. Yeah no one's touching the brew crew. They're twelve back in the division. I might have to jump on the reds wagon. Yeah you're going to abandon the red birds for the red legs. Well just maybe because there's division insight seven and a half. I'm not counting out. The broker is the real deal not chatting about. But yep that's all i got some good divisional matchups coming up this week. Enjoy the baseball. We will be back on thursday and Hopefully we'll have some good stories talk about. "He gets the nod gets the nod was general second. Yeah second phillies. History in games played behind. Mike schmidt makes sense. Yeah i i have no qualms with mideast elections. Now i mean if you're going figures i mean fanatic walker that thing so hey that right there smitty a That's an avenue that has been traveled before. And i have my marlins man is on my mount rushmore. For the marlins shots fired charlie hoff. Yeah i think the fanatic absolutely has a place on mount rushmore. I thought yeah. I just don't know who to cancel out. I can't cancel out ritchie and jason. Jimmy deserves a spot up there fanatic. Shoutout his friend. Tom ritchey recipes. Richie was not in my home. And he was not in my living room so i i would have no problem replacing him with the mascot and that is not a knock on the man or the athlete himself that is purely him. Just not being part of my life. So that's all right with john. Kruk is basically like phillies mascot essentially using the booth now so he's great everyone's crocker. Everybody loves dallas. I mean you you say knock on a rich aspic is do not know. It's definitely knock on. The philadelphia phillies just not putting fucking four slam dunk players. They're just in their abilities since. Eighteen eighty three shouldn't be that hard to fix your so. Yeah these four guys mean if you're one of the forefathers you gotta have at least four definitive guys exactly what corrobos who who do you got you have your four dialed in smitty. Pick three my four. So i basically have one spot left where you where you at did. How many of these did you house. I think three of the four if i remember correctly. Okay yeah so. I had Mike schmidt steve carlton Jimmy rawlins my number four roar roar not are is not rob. No it's not well then who the fuck is it. I'm going chase outlet here chase otley. I'm going chase otley. Because alves i feel like we talked about this with dr claw before like how you need a representative from every run and obviously jimmy. Rollins represents that dynasty that smitty was just talking about. But i feel like jimmy. Rollins is also like a entire franchise representative as we just said. He's second in franchise history in games played behind michael jack schmitt so i think for chase utley. I mean like. He's just so philly like he. He was part of that run. He was on always sunny drops the f. bombs on live. Tv he's he is philly and i know that we had some other candidates that played their entire careers with the phillies and and chase hotly was not one of them but mosey there for thirteen years. Is there for a while. He came up right after jimmy rollins. And if you ask anybody for philadelphia chase outlay probably gets that spot chase. Elliott played for sixteen seasons. Thirteen of them with the phillies. He if he never got hurt he would be unit. He'd be probably unanimous. I bound amber is his career war higher than derek. Jeter's my making that up. I might be making that up. I don't see that really it's close. Derek jeter seventy one point three. She sought lee sixty four point five. It's close it's within striking distance. You can't not be a phillies fan in a philadelphia fan and not absolutely love chase elliott. I a different route here. Yes mike schmidt. Yes steve carlton and for me. The third is role. And my fourth is robin roberts to not overlook those eras because one thing. I always tried to like you got to remember where you come from. You gotta remember who's laid the foundation here. And it's a guy like robin roberts. Just because this happened in the fifties and doesn't matter right he was still fucking dominant still dominant. Still a big part of what the franchise was trying to do then and moving forward so. There's no way that. I can just overlook guys who come from an older era because maybe the competition and by. I understand the arguments. But we're talking about a guy hall of famer seven-time all-star led major league baseball innings pitched from fifty one fifty five every fucking year. Let him they'll be in. Wins from fifty to fifty five during that stretch career record of two thirty four and one nine not that that matters as much but i mean he are as a sub three and a half career. Era almost four thousand fucking innings under his belt for the phillies. Yeah robin roberts absolutely. That's if you were to ask any like hardcore like baseball writer like jayson. Stark is around phillies. Putting robin roberts in ever shares probably wrote schmidt carlton rollins and robin roberts. That's like the hardcore baseball. Mount rushmore. vitally boy yeah. Oh you know when. I went richie from that era. I definitely not be grudging. Anybody who chooses robin roberts. Because he's definitely deserving definitely. I don't think there's i love. I love the chase's pick as well. Yeah i feel like you're almost like it's tough going chase and j role because it is because they're from the same era but like i'm trying to justify it by j rawal being an all time guy and chase being an era guy. It's really a shame that ryan howard just completely fell off the fucking flatter because his five years six two thousand eleven and those three years six niagara for years i mean they they they were beyond incredible and if nobody was hitting balls as far as centerfield to from two thousand six to twenty eleven he averaged averaged forty four homers in one hundred thirty three rabies a year. Four and one thirty three. It's a shame as you sign that contract. And then he was that bad after like he was awful to seventy comparison. Yes is there not a worse time to how that injury go down one. Nothing by the ninth in the playoffs strike out and that was that was a symbolic with symbolic was the yet. It was the end of the run. That was it man. Shame heartbreaker shot. Chris carpenter outdo doc. Many people can do it. Yeah wow all right smitty thank you thank you..

"Being great. we dropped the first game now. We absolutely have to split this because we lost the first two against phillies. No now you go into today. You're facing the phillies in a bullpen. Game you got a guy who has some major league experience starting the game for you. You got a couple of guys who were putting the charge into the ball. Yesterday swing freely. You know what you're going up against you know what the deal is. You know that you know that you have some guys coming back and they're gonna fortify the lineup at some point so it really does feel good and i hope the same kind of the same idea or philosophy can fix the bullpen. Because dude this this crew is just tough like last night you get you get a bunch of you get a you get a triple a. Lineup giving you a giving you a to three or sixty two liter. Five to lead. Whatever it was at that time. In britain three straight hits gives up running gets that double play. I mean am. I going to call that lock I i don't know he just throwing some good pitches but he mostly wasn't locating around. Muto hit a fastball. Preeti far off the played could've taken ball one but he actum. Yeah so i'll take it. It's a gr- maybe that's a part. Maybe that's part of the confidence builder. That's accurate needs. I really don't know what him in chapman going through. I i i. Don't i every single time they come out. I'm scared when they have to pitch. You weren't comfortable seeing chapman. Come out old old a six three lady strikes out bryce harper and then he them a frigging moonshot to andrew mccutchen. And then it's a whole new game. "On everything we saw on tuesday and on sunday Similar looking games slightly. Different outcomes you know one was a blowout against the stupid awful red sox in one was You know what ended up being somewhat of a squeaker against the phillies berlin because the phillies kept punching back Yankees bullpen waited out of a lot of problem areas. There were many opportunities late in that game. Where a lesser version of the yankees yankees team going through slum certainly would have blown the lead. Many of those leads were quite global. Never got blown pretty cool Yeah we're on a day on game five today of this new era The yankees were forced to do this. The it's not by choice. That greg alan and estevan flurry are here That was not like some grand plan but it may be should've been we were basically saying everybody was saying the lowest common denominator to the fan base was saying for months. This team couldn't possibly look worse with a slightly altered collection of people right the argument for making a trade and for quote unquote buying you know not making a blockbuster trade but at least buying a little bit is that you can't give up on a season when your team is like three out of a playoff spot in the loss column and adding legitimately anyone to the roster who provided athleticism speed defense lefty power like adding adding absolutely any available player. Who did those things change the lineup and might alter everything you put greg. Alan in he is tearing the cover of the ball. Hit one hundred five mile. Today phillies bullpen twentieth. In the league asteroid. Your hausky hasn't thrown in a major league game. i don't think since two thousand nineteen So it'll be up to run-scoring today and based on this new liberation of the yankees. It looks like they're up to the task Like you said. Six lefty started yesterday The biggest key in this one. In my opinion. I watch game. Start to finish Was putting bat on ball regardless if it was if they were getting out or not six strikeouts on the night which has to be a among the season low for them Stanton of course two of those strikeouts. He does hit a home. Run to extend defy the to later in the game against a battered phillies bullpen But a lot of these the key for this game To me was Greg alan on third base in that top of the fourth inning. With one out in tyler wade putting that ball and play i understand he lined out but look what happens when you put the ball in play folks de makes a mistake or theresa. I don't know who it was the throw senior. Okay was it girl. I don't know they got a lot to do. Maybe yeah i think it was didi who through that ball to third And he was leading to third baseman together. I think terese was playing third. And it i don't. I don't entirely know what it was nonetheless putting the ball in play forces the defense to do something. They tried to double up greg allen instead throw the ball down the third baseline greg alan scores.
