Mina Kimes' Eclectic Career
"We want to start out by talking about your career which is really interesting to me. You've made some big changes moving from investigative business journalism too long form sports writing and fighting to hosting podcasting and commentating and these are all really. Hartfield to break into. Could you tell us about these transitions? And you know was was sports journalism something. You're always headed towards. None of these jobs were ones that I was doors or ones that I ever aspired to do. You know I kind of fell into all them So now that I've alienated. Everyone right from the trump wants to do these things Yeah no I don. I was going to be like you guys like arts writer or more cultural criticisms kind of interesting to me out of college and then I fell into business. Journalism Durin Internship for magazine called Fortune. Small Business got job at Fortune magazine out of college. Writing about finance and investing moved to doing features than doing investigative features moved to Bloomberg News whereas they're investigative team and I. I've always loved sports but I never aspired to be in sports as a career. Never ASPIRE TO BE ON TELEVISION. Never aspired to do commentary. Espn reached out to me. I'll just didn't really seem like an option for me. Just didn't seem like something that somebody like me would even do quite frankly But but along those lines I don't think business journalism seemed like an option to me. Either I mean when I was in college is just didn't occur to me so. Espn Kinda made the Kimball. The idea for me. They hired me in two thousand fourteen as a features writer. After reading your piece about Your Dad yes. So I wrote a personal essay about football and editor their name. Meghan Ren- greenwell riche down. So you you seem. You seemed like football tweet about it a lot a lot of dumb stuff. She didn't say that. But that's accurate depiction of my twitter and So I was kind of like extensively a serious financial journalist at the time but Football and sports more. Broadly was my passion. So I I was worth twenty nine or something I suppose. Yeah decided to make the leap which was pretty terrifying. What did you grow up wanting to be like as a kid Painter Oh yeah and I still pay not well not a good painter but I do like watercolor sometimes of football players really. Yeah so do you draw them to then or yeah. I do a lot of things I just get I I know insane and then I sometimes I just get a gift. Like a little watercolor set or something. And I'll just use it up and then buy another one. That's what football players do. You have a series of Philip rivers just because I like you so emotive super splitting looking and then I did them all and I said why. Don't want these. So I just auctioned off for Homeless Charity here that works with homelessness that were considered roads a great compassion direction and I was shocked that somebody wanted them and result out of money so I did it again this year. Oh my gosh you do this regularly. Wow that's cool. How much money did you make if you don't well this year? I did so. I did a Korean while. I am obsessed with the kicker young white coup. Oh yeah after the night of three onside kicks legendary night in. Nfl history. And I did a few others like marshawn lynch disguise I liked and I think I sold five of them. Maybe something five or six but I raised thirty five hundred dollars. Wow Wow you definitely interesting. Like if you're selling a five hundred dollars like let's add painter to the bile thank you.
Tom Brady Becomes a Tampa Bay Buccaneer
"Because I don't want to run out of time I do want to touch on what transpired in patriot world today yes Tom Brady is now Tampa Bay bucs the it is borderline old news now because it's a couple days add the reverberations will go on for a very long period of time there after but the news itself is not breaking today you did have a couple of moves that were breaking news today in New England give me a read on the two sidings the patriots had brain a couple of the guy I talk play for my jets this year not a bad player as a matter of fact and the return of Brian Hoyer to potentially compete for the starting quarterback job there in New England give me your thoughts on both to two months yeah I think they're directional moves I think as soon as you know sort of the cold side Philip rivers you know a lot of people around here we're thinking that you know reunion with lawyer or maybe even Jacoby percent was up author bility I think the horrible exactly he's got he's got great knowledge of this offense he knows that locker room he does the coaching staff so he'll come in and help you know if not compete for the starting job to always be a great sounding boards for Jarrett Stidham you know who's kind of a presumptive you know successor to Brady a fourth round pick out of Auburn last year so a great locker room guy you know like I said very knowledgeable and you know one thing about Brian Williams when the patriots won the Super Bowl against the rams two years ago he was universally wanted by his teammates for his ability to run the scout team and kind of morph into the opposing quarterback down the stretch in the playoffs run so really good guy really good signing I just just make a lot of sense for him to be here you know Brandon Copeland the guy who did the patriots has seen up close for a number of years now where they pay it you know in the at the I got at the Coachella tickets Oct glowingly about the past seems like the patriots have a guy you know good special teams guy and also has that versatility that the patriots love in their life back together can rush the passer he can drop in coverage you can play the run picnic walk a lot of guys in free agency this week Kyle van Noy Jamie Collins in the Robert so really need to restock that line backing core and feel good start getting brand coke on a guy who they had interesting last offseason but weren't able to

"I look at Philip rivers never never never I just love celebrities very competitive we know he's the ultimate competitor but I think this was a bad move by the cold sand and what do you really get out of you think you're Philip rivers away from going to the Super Bowl I thought it was a ridiculous move yeah they're not until purpose away from going to the Super Bowl and he's got a lot to prove to prove to the world that he isn't washed up at this point in his career Detroit Lions sending Gary a slave to the Philadelphia Eagles for a third and fifth round draft choice Ronnie one of the top three or four quarterbacks in the National Football League and a guy that you know he competes and he's a play maker he's a difference maker a group of Philly that was a heck of a sign right there and it was like three years fifty million but I love that movie I think that instantly helps can upgrade their second there you want to top three or four quarterbacks in the National Football League on your team but I just I don't like the move for Detroit in this league where you're in a unique situation where you against Aaron Rodgers Kirk cousins and all the different weapons they have and you want to get a real quick give away your bath corner I don't like it does it make you question Pat Matt Patricia to appoint here running the sense of what Gary slays command said in terms of it seems as if he's trying to be bill ballot check without having six rings as a head coach I mean if if you Hey all you can go by what the players say I'm not there you know I was there with Matt Patricia years ago I'm not there every single day and my my thing is this over the years we've seen we guys try to be Belichick they have not had success just be yourself at the end of the day I agree all right the Chicago Bears I guess sending a message to Mitchell Trubisky they trade for Nick Foles with three years and a lot of money left on that contract Rodney yeah they're desperate to bear the desperate I get it I understand and this is a clear and it just shows you that the players are liars of organizations think about it they talk about how much they love Mitchell Trubisky anyways keep up everything form to make him the second overall pick and now they get a quarterback three years later and it falls to push him to to make him compete Hey I like the move I like the movie but it's a clear admission that they don't believe in which basically is Mitch Trubisky Chicago bear by the end of next season no migrant near absolute right about a good question maybe he will because once again you know those those general managers and organizations don't want to feel like they blew it with their draft choice but this like I said this is a clear admission that they screwed up yeah no question he's going to go down as a guy drafted a head above to Shawn Watson and Patrick Mahomes all right the Carolina Panthers say goodbye to cam Newton say hello to teddy Bridgewater Rodney happy for teddy teddy is one of those guys where you know he just kind of please leases were always it's kind in the background he just patiently waiting for the opportunity when he came in he got it he's younger he's helped the they try to get rid of the scar tissue with cam Newton and trying to start over you got a new coach new kind of mine said I get it I'll I'll like to move the teddy it's twenty five million a year you know he's going to be the right kind of locker room guys going to do things right and I think he's gonna be a pretty good player you'll be the third worst quarterback.
Jaguars trade former Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles to Chicago
"Let's get started with Adam schefter on this breaking news regarding former Super Bowl. Winning quarterback Nick foles like will be reunited with Matt Nagy on his way to Chicago. What can you tell us about? Details choosy moments ago the Jacksonville Jaguars in Chicago bears agreed on a trade that will send the bears compensatory fourth round. Pick the one hundred forty eighth overall selection to Jacksonville in return for Nick Volks. Who COMES INTO CHICAGO AND KNOWS THE COACHING STAFF? Where he worked with Matt Nagy in Philadelphia he worked with. He worked with John De Filippo in Philadelphia. He wrote with Bill Laser Philadelphia. And they believe that it's going to be a source of comfort for them to get that done and that will be a big move for the Chicago bears. They felt like they had to get a veteran. The Jaguar spoke to the colts about a trade for Nick foles. The colts decided to go with Philip Rivers. They talked to the bears. The bears get done. That trade at foals is owed a lot of money. What do you know right now about how they redo this deal to make it work for everyone? Well listen. They could sit down and restructure that contract and perhaps they do that but the deal just came down as we speak and so we're waiting to see
Tom Brady leaves Patriots after two decades
"Tom Brady has thrown his final pass for the patriots and appears the next one could be while wearing the Buccaneers uniform both sides are reportedly working on a contract today former patriots teammate teddy Persky expects the quarterback to be in Tampa for a couple of years he wants to play top forty five we'll see what the contract terms are in terms of years in amounts and all that stuff when it comes out but I bet you if it'll end when he's forty five I know it's very important to him other quarterbacks on the move long time charger quarterback Philip rivers agrees to a one year contract with the colts Carolina signed saints back of teddy Bridgewater for three years and scenes are keeping their starting signal caller giving drew Brees a two
Tom Brady & the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
"While the suspense is over. We now know that Tom. Brady's me going to Tampa. Bay buccaneers thirty million dollars per season. Which was what Michael Lombardi had predicted? It was going to take to sign Brady. Twenty Seasons forty-one Playoff Games thirty playoff wins tour in one thousand nine regular season. Wins SIX SUPER BOWLS. Three League? Mvp's seventy four. Thousand five hundred. Seventy one passing yards and five. Hundred and forty-one touchdown passes Tom Brady is leaving New England. Mike. Quite a resumes. Put up the greatest player and NFL history and the box have not had a pro bowl quarterback since two thousand fifteen when James Winston was a rookie and look at the town he's got now Evans and Godwin OJ Howard. And so on you. And I were thinking charges. But you'd said charges or bucks and Tampa Bay now that we know it makes a lot of sense because the offensive weapons and as you would sit yesterday's pod and of course you can check it all the GM shovels. We talked with Tom. Brady and detail. The key is that Bruce. Arians is willing to adjust his offense four. Tom Brady yeah no doubt I mean first of all I think in talking to some people yesterday proximity to New York was really important to like. He wanted to be able to get on an airplane. Fly Back to a you know whether he buys a home in Greenwich or somewhere. After a game on Sunday fly back spent a couple of days his family come back to Tampa and do that so that was important. Easy flight turnaround so that was there and look. This is just a tremendously great. Human being I mean Brady literally face timed most of the people that he worked with at the Patriots yesterday. Obviously being safe from People Xinhau and not could he could see anybody facetime and thanked him. I mean you're talking about one of the great human beings and it didn't work out a New England for a lot of different reasons but I think now. Tom Gets to become a little bit like manning he gets to be able to go down to Tampa he can run his offense however he can put the offense and there's just no chance no chance Byron left. Which is telling Tom Brady what he's going to run right. There's just no chance of that. Nor is Bruce Arians. I think we'll definitely see. There's been a lot of reports out there about Antonio Brown. I think we'll definitely see Antonio Brown in a buck uniform. Add more skill and I'm sure they've promised him they're going to rebuild the offensive line. But he's going to have a say. I mean Jason Light. The general manager of the Tampa. Bay buccaneers has just hired an assistant general manager. His name Tom Brady and they're going to do everything in their power to make Brady happy. They've already increased ticket sales on season tickets. It's of fork for them. We'll see if it works out. It's amazing to think Mike. And you know this with your time in New England but the Patriots Way and where guys go Mike. Rebel is traded the chiefs Randy Moss shift to the Vikings. Vince will work with the Texans Adam. Vegetarian a great second career the colts and your window. Now it's going to happen. Tom Brady with Tampa Bay. Like you said Byron left which is oh see. He's Tom Brady tells him and he's got lots of weapons. Right there Evans is probably the best receivers play with since Randy Moss. And now you can see why the line is already jumped at. The box. Went from forty to one odds to twenty to one odds to win the Super Bowl. He gets paid which is important as you would guest thirty million dollars a year. That's what he's GonNa get didn't make sense for economics but here's the key. I think when it comes to Tom Brady is. How much does he have left the tank and for all the Brady fans they would say listen? His receivers couldn't hold onto his passes right. He did not have enough weapons around him. Well now he's got the weapons and if you believe that. Brady's still got some magic left for a couple of seasons with clearly his leadership and his Moxie and his talent and a smart board than anything will lift this team higher to where they go. Jameis Winston. They're seven losses a seven of the nine losses. Last year had eighteen turnovers guy was turnover machine. So theory is as long as it doesn't make those turnovers completes passes gets things done. There's no reason why the box to have very quick turnaround next season. No doubt and I mean look todd. Bowles has done a great job with their defense and they've got more cap room to spend on what they WANNA do. We don't know what the structure of the Brady contract is. But the idea that there wasn't a market for Brady. Obviously there was a huge market for him at thirty million made more than Philip rivers at twenty-five we'll talk about him in a moment but I think for the first time in his life. Tom Brady wanted to be able to go somewhere and kind of do what he wanted to do. You know and to be. I don't WANNA call Patriot like but I mean for the Patriots to spend thirty million on a quarterback and then spend more money in free agency that violates their culture. That violates everything. They believe in and for him to do what he wants to do what she deserves to do at this point in his life. He's earned it to go out and kind of be. I think this is like a great coach. Who finally wants to be able to run his program right. You know. I've been operating in this system but now I want to go into another system and that's how I look at this with Brady's movement I mean he was never going to be able to do what he truly wanted to do in New England. Now he can do it there. He can do it in Tampa and no one's GonNa tell him he can't. I think the concern. You have to have a few of the box. Is You know. Tom Has got to relate to some of these younger players. And that's GonNa be you know. We spent a Lotta time understanding millennials in New England understanding. How he's going to relate to that because there is a huge gap between Tom and these other players. I think getting someone like Antonio Brown in there who tom loves will help them. I know that sounds crazy. But it'll help the other players in the room kind of have a relationship. Can you imagine? Antonio Brown's the great pacify higher. I mean can you imagine that? I'm saying that seriously. They give out that eighty. He's the bridge so if they did that and they improve their offensive line.

"philip rivers" Discussed on The Business of Sports With Andrew Brandt
"Ag It's a branch ran sedition after last week's guest the commissioner the xfl before the debut of the League. Oliver luck today. I'll just go into my own stuff about the xfl among my rants and talk about what the debut means for the president in the future the xfl N beyond. So we'll talk about that. Also WanNa get into the whole Philip rivers experience. And we're GONNA talk a lot about quarterbacks in the off season in free agency in the NFL and then a word on major league baseball continuing issue there Whatever I want to talk about is the xfl. The debuted this weekend to better than expected ratings better than expected attendance uneven. The expectations were based on the fact that yeah everyone's GonNa have the curiosity factor. The novelty of it is going to be easy to draw fans both in person and on screen and that happens so the good news for the xfl is what what was certainly expected to be some bonus of being in the debut stage in the honeymoon phase. It happened as it happened a year ago again. These leagues are intertwined in our analysis to the American asserted alliance American football the AF. A year ago. Same Thing Week One Wild Buffalo. Good football make sense. It's fun. It goes fast all those things. The key. Issue of Courses Sustainability and sustainability. Two ways interest is one thing but really the key question for sustainability is cash. Do they have the money and the AF? A year ago did not have the money they're key. Financer was convicted of fraud. And they never got the money to Reggie Fowler. They had to rely ultimately on the owner. Kill on hurricanes. Tom Dundee new ahead on this program a couple times and of course he pulled the plug. Week seven out of ten. That was a fire sale. Wants the money ran out now here. The advantage the world the world the xfl has is that there's one investor not several his name is. Vince McMahon any as hundreds of millions. So they're good on money and they seem to have airtight contracts. They're paying not a lot. Fifty seven thousand looks like per player And they seem to have genuine interest with as as Oliver promoted so often on my podcast with him last week. They had these. Nfl coaches that are gonNA BRING NFL style football on it's GonNa be very credible and I think that rung true for the first week full disclosure. I was in Hawaii this weekend. I did a speech for a university. Their keynote speech to Hawaii Pacific University. Lovely place had a wonderful time of exploring hiking. The craters AP- Hawaii. But I did not watch drop a minute a second of XL football now. When I'm not in Hawaii maybe I will but Everything I heard was positive. And it just seemed to get a nice reaction around the country and will see if that continues of course. The key is sustainability. The key is longevity. The key is will people turn back in and I think the real key is get beyond the hardcore football fans of which I would consider myself is the less than less than hardcore. I don't casualties. GonNa be tough because casual is going to be casual for the NFL in casual for the NFL means no not a fan for the xfl so I would say the casual xfl fan which is probably a pretty good NFL fan. Are they going to stay tuned to keep coming back so again? It's hard to assess a league early. They've got some window here because March madness than start for few weeks. Nba All Star game this weekend. But that's at night. I mean they got a real opportunity certainly this week and next in the combine. That's not you know the combine his US check in check out. It's a lot of boring standing around so I think they're gonNA have some opportunities here to to really cement a fan base but it will take time and again. The lack of player names is an issue. The one thing that Oliver talked about this player that I think he he went on about a sophomore. I believe only one year of college football and they got him. He's GONNA use this year to prep for the NFL draft or maybe two years of college football because the NFL rule requires three years removed from high school before entering the draft. You know that was kind of under the radar comment by Oliver. But this is a real opportunity for the xfl people haven't talked about. They're not GONNA GET TREVOR LAWRENCE. Okay but they could get freshmen sophomores. That for whatever reason don't WanNa Play College football? They WANNA make money okay. That's an obvious reason dated. They got injured. They want to sort of use it as Rehab. They WANNA play. Xfl instead of train all year for the combine. I mean this is a real opportunity. That's not really talked about much of the xfl where it could serve as a as a stair step to the NFL draft for players not yet eligible due to the three year eligible rule. So I'd like to see what happens with that. Oliver talked at length about one of those guys. And there's gotta be others and there's gotTa be more in the future where you're not talking about. Nfl cuts you're talking about players that played and theoretically at a high school theoretically. I don't know if they're GONNA go down that path but players say Claire Played One Year of College. Football did a nice job certainly even if he was allowed will not be a high draft pick in the NFL but could make some money and improve his stock and now Nanfeng Scouts to me. They just got busier. They took on another role here. Because now you don't just does Scott. The colleges now you gotta scout the NFL xfl. And I think they're scouting. Xfl Anyway of course to look for talent but now it's gone the NFL not only look for veteran talent to bring in his free agents but for rookie talent to bring in through the draft. That's an interesting concept so I ran week one. Xfl successor when likes it? We haven't really seen the the two or three point conversions. Everyone's seen the light that kickoff thing where it's still kickoff in those less contact the Games moving pretty fast. Not exactly under the three hours that they were talking about. But we'll see and I think what the fan experience I heard about. I haven't seen again. Is the ability. Listen INTO COACHES REFEREES. Going through replay. I think that's a value that the NFL should adapt immediately to have some transparency. Okay that is a rant of the week. Let's get to the next one. And that's about Philip rivers. Okay as I said. We're GONNA talk about Tom. Brady we're GONNA talk about Ryan Tanno or talk about Jameis Winston were talking about Mark Marietta. Entira Teddy Bridgewater drew brees of course breezy to plays or goes to the saints. Nothing talk about their. We're in talk about tasting hill. But the Guy WanNa talk about now. Is Philip Rivers? It was mutually agreed and announced announced publicly. This week that he in the chargers will no longer be partners and this is a split after. What is it sixteen Seventeen Years Sameer? Eli came in with the giants. They're both going out. Eleven of course had a love fest retirement ceremony and with rivers. They get a tweet about mutually parting ways. Now it's no surprise. He moved his family to Florida when he got as many kids as him. Eight nine kids. You're not moving back so that was a done deal there now. Maybe he could have commuted or just live out there by himself in the off season but that didn't seem right in the season so anyway Philip rivers and the chargers part and it seems to be an under the radar story. That's wrong. This is a huge store. I mean this was the signature face of the franchise through tons of success over the last seventeen years. It's just amazing. Sometimes where you see these pardons of players that really define the franchise like I said. Face of the franchise. There is no player in the chargers. The past seventeen years sixteen years whatever. It is more aligned with that brand. I mean in my wrong. There's no player more aligned with that brand than Philip rivers and it's over to me that's a big deal. It's going to be a huge deal if and when Tom Brady leaves the Patriots which I think he'll do. This is a big deal not being treated as such. We have come to expect in sports. That will it ends and it's not. It's not a big deal anymore. I mean people are going to try to make it a big deal with Brady but even with Brady I think people are GonNa go. Okay I get it and the idea of this nostalgic finished with one team it is nostalgia because ninety nine percent. It doesn't happen and of those dozen happens. Ninety percent of them are involuntary. It's the team not the player. The team deciding. You're not finishing career Agai. So people understand when they get on players not finishing their career their team's never ever allow players finish their career there because they caught him. They want him to go somewhere else. They don't want anymore. I've been part of that with the best player in the history of the packers. Probably Brett Farve. My God happens all the time. So let's be real about the business of sports when it comes to heroes. It's not then in. This is a shining example of it. Philip rivers is not leaving the chargers because they really want him and he doesn't WANNA BE THERE. It's at best mutual improbably. The chargers telling him stay away. Enjoy Florida or your next team now. We'll talk later out with team that's going to be. I think he may have a hard time getting a team. Which is another issue at least coming in right away as starter but this is a tough thing even for the best of the best. It rarely ends well. Brett Farve Joe Montana Joe Name Donovan mcnabb. I mean the list goes on and on and on it never ends walking into the sunset. Sure you'll have a few John as peyton manning peyton manning. It didn't end well in Indianapolis at all and supposedly wanted to come back in Denver even after winning the Super Bowl so it never ends well. So that's where we are I feel for Philip Rivers. I think he should get better sendoff at least do the the day in the sun that ally got with the giants at least fly out there. Do that with the chargers again. Their fan base is kind of scattered right now. Who who they are. But I just feel that about Philip rivers in my final rant. This week is about baseball in continuing story. The Astros cheating scandal. That's going on there. I just don't get it still. And there's more coming out Wall Street Journal about all the codes that were broken in all the cheating in the deep dark recesses of this thing and now former players are talking about the bangs and it just becomes a mountain of circumstantial evidence that not only was that the GM only was it the coach it was the players and this is the problem I have. I don't know why commissioner Manfred is not displaying the players to me it's like okay you're letting the the the the superiors take the fall but what is going on with the players. Why are we allowing them to Walk Scot Free? And when they talk to the media they all clammed up of course they clam up because if they say anything then they're worried about getting in trouble because they're not in trouble now at least from disciplined point of view. I'd like to hear a reason and I don't think there's at least one. That's plausible given by Major League Baseball. Where there aren't displaying. The players you Houston Astros players. Have some kind of taint on there right now but it's it should be a lot worse. They cheated and they're not getting punished period..

Los Angeles: QB Philip Rivers To Leave Chargers, Enter Free Agency:
"The Philip rivers thing is really interesting because there's a whole bunch of things going on number one. The chargers need to find a new quarterback. The chargers need to find somebody to kind of become their guy here in this city. Philip rivers is may or may not play again where does he go and and then there's just the totality of Philip rivers career at this point. He's I think he's going to get in the hall of fame. Because it feels like good quarterbacks get into the hall of fame but he his career is a little bit of a mixed bag because he's the numbers are great. They've won a bunch of games but they've never been to the Super Bowl. I think they've only been in the AFC championship the game. Once in his career he played a long time he sees it one of those. It's really really nice and this is the thing about La. I know allies career is is a mixed bag to but there are two super bowl. Wins in that thing. There's a bunch of Nice long play offerings. Philip rivers has really never had that. I'm wondering if he's low key odor. The Matt Stafford met staffer when he does say goodbye is going to have some healthy numbers. And he's not going to have very much postseason success. And he's GonNa kind of be a guy and I know that doesn't sound like a good thing to say about Philip rivers because he's had occurred as better better than Stafford but the reality is that he's going to be remembered in the same grouping as Matt Stafford big numbers. No postseason success. Yeah you think about it. I mean ah you. Let's do the game real quick. Best Charger quarterback rivers is not Dan. Fouts Philip Rivers for me like Dan. fouts is still the guy that oh I think of when just off the top of my head and Philip Rivers has had a really nice career but he to me and make me. I mean you said Philip Rivers I but to me. It's still Dan fouts. Stan Humphries freeze is not the best quarterback in charge. He's not going to the super bowl super bowl so it's not the best ever which I think fouts is that guy and if you're not the guy that took him to the Super Bowl who are where are you in this whole thing and oh by the way. There's this whole element which absolutely sucks Philip rivers. I'm not a charger fan. I'm not not necessarily a Philip rivers fan but it sucks that they're the dude is homeless in a football sense and I'm not talking about where he goes with. Its indie or Miami or Tampa. He doesn't belong belong to anybody anymore because the chargers came to La Nobody in La Cares about Philip rivers as a football player. We don't have any history with him. We don't have any great. I remember seeing Filbert's do x Y and Z people. People Sandiego certainly do lay there anymore. And he doesn't even play for that team anymore. He's down the road. So who does he belong to at this point. He belongs to the San Diego chargers which don't exist anymore lousy guy that's had that career should have a home forever and he won't

"I wanted to get go on the record or their band wagon or off. You pick on Lakers to start you still picking up I. I plead the fifth all this man. I can't pick up. Sorry ladies is in the middle of the jury. This man has turned himself. You started the year hold up. I sat here before. The year started when Leonard the best player in basketball like the free towers above the League. Lebron's doing amazing things but when the Games matter Kawai I has their hearts all of them he snatches it. He stopped defense. He scores on offense and his team win. I told you wherever Hawaii goes. They win the chip. If Toronto hold on to Ronald Right now second in the east brother how would they be with Leonard and they don't lose anything they keep the payment ATCO. Why Hi? They'd be favored. He went to the clippers. Their favourite told you before the season. I'm not trying to hear your Patrick. Beverley excuses after the fact the coaching excuses trade headline excuses Kawais going to win in the end because he's the best player in basketball. He's basketball with the very best when it matters least and he's a step ahead of everyone everyone when it matters most look Stephen a before the season I told you. That's a forty eight win team. They're just dropping Paul George and Kawhi Leonard into a forty forty eight win team. And they got Marcus Morris. Now I agree with you about the dogs but you knew that before the season started. Look if there's a non defensive player fire who in the NBA. You could say. That's a dog it's Lou. Will that do lou. Williams is even though he's not like knowing that he's an offense player but the way he plays offense is even like that. Patrick Beverley now Marcus Morris. To go with the superstars Stephen Marcus. Morris is not a shot blocker. They need shot-blocking. It's not like the clippers addressed. What what they really need? Ideally because the Lakers have those trees they got Dwight Howard and Javale McGee giving you the best versions they could of themselves to go with. Anthony Davis that's not on a good matchup for the clippers. Clippers could use them interior help. That's not really marcus. Morris about six eight doesn't block shots. No it's not about. They got what they needed at the deadline or kept was the Lakers needed away from them. It's that they have a really well coached team. You said it with dogs. All over the place led by CO Y. Lead it. That's not it that's not at first of all. I'm getting really sick and tired of the Raven about Leonard. I know. He's a two-time be. He's a superstar. One atop plays plays a game. He's not the best by the way you know what. He wasn't around at a finals for five years before he got to the Eastern Conference with Lebron James. So I don't WanNA he'll it'll lucky bounce against the Philadelphia seventy six. Don't get me started. But I'll give him credit. Where credit's due? Here's what you're missing about Morris Max and this is why kids I sit up there and look at the Lakers honestly like this anymore. Morris is an additional body to defend against Labranche. You Are you're gonNA throw beverly shots beverly at him. You'RE GONNA throw Paul Georgia. Then you're gonNA throats Kawhi Leonard at him and now you're gonNA throw more. You got four different from bodies that you could throw at the playmaker. That is Lebron James. What should what's your secondary? Backup Plan Lakers. What's a backup the plant Rob Pelinka? I don't believe they have won the clippers which means I gotta sit up there and hope I would hope Max. I got a hold dabran James.

"That's the end of the season. And that's when you lose bobby. They wouldn't super bowl even as right the giants super bowls and the Eagles Super Bowl where they lost those are the three they lost. We're basically the same as all the other super bowls. It was a one score game at the end. You'RE NOT GONNA win those every time some time time. You'RE GONNA lose. Sometimes you're going to lose but the Randy Moss team when he put a great when he's given Brady a great receiver especially when Brady was in his prime long ago by the way Brady's balled all doubt. He knows he's a gay manager. Now who can be big on third down in the playoffs. He can't take your team. They're like Patrick Mahomes. There's someone like that. You're looking at that number looking at personnel missing. I really don't think you are if you're going to maintain that opinion about where he has a. He hasn't hasn't had much to work with this. I just think this particular season. I'm not saying there wasn't any slippage but I think this particular season he went others have could have adjudged him completely unfairly. He was giving nothing to work with this year. This remember bobby wasn't bobby wasn't the one that show when I said this. Keep in mind and Antonio Brown would all all the noise coming his way with the chargers. That's what makes us tomorrow right now with. The charges were levied against Antonio Brown. Tom Brady a married man with children. Invited Antonio Brown and stay. That's how desperate he was to to have a wide receiver. He'll go let this man living in Seoul and I'm not. I'm not I'm not. I'm not taking get any guilt. I'm not attaching any guilt to Antonio Brown's of I don't know what happened. I'm just saying do those issues and Tom Brady was so desperate lower receiver he was willing to give their Tony over our free room and board the one game. If four catches sixty yards and touchdown. That's all you need. Rainy needs is the greatest receiver since Jerry Rice. And then he'll be fine quarterback. Say That Josh Gordon match that would have sufficed if he could have stayed for now. Ri- yeah I mean that's it yes of course if Brady has elite weapons. It looked better when I did look good. Would all be honest drew brees. We've seen his accuracy is the same as ever much. The ball probably but mike is the same as ever. Tom Brady is missing. Guys everywhere you can miss a guy how the first thing your take on. ESPN RADIO AND ESPN news. I'm Jason Fitz. We can add another quarterback to this conversation that we have breaking news from Adam Schefter. This is the tweet end of an era. Los Angeles chargers quarterback Philip Rivers have mutually agreed that rivers will enter free agency and not return to the the team for the twenty twenty season. So at this point what we know is that the chargers who went in and gave their head coach and extension. This off season are entering the offseason with no no quarterback at this point foot. Philip rivers will not be their quarterback entering next season so Philip rivers now becomes part of this conversation. Is Everybody's looking again. I Argued With my goal of junior in your morning about this on on Golic and Wingo. We can have the conversation all day long about what we think's happening in. This is really happening. Because that hasn't signed quickly enough. I still think is going to get assigned and it's going to end much of this conversation. Because what did we see. It wasn't that long ago we were talking about Zeke. Who and the questions in Zeke's contract negotiation Jason With Jerry Jones? Would it turned into some lingering effects that hurt their relationship. Well Zeke got paid right and the mini. He got paid. Everything seemed to be fine moving forward. ESPN radio presented by progressive insurance drivers who switch and save pay an average of seven hundred ninety six dollars less per year. Get out there on twitter. You can vote at Jason Fitz. We've got a poll asking you who should be the cowboys. Starting quarterback this year Dak Brady or other so you now can add Philip rivers to that definitive other right now. Overwhelming almost seventy five percent of. You have voted Dak AAA wait say. ESPN eight eight eight. Seven two nine three seven seven six. That's how you get in on the conversation. Eight eight eight seven nine three seven seven six Chris in Illinois. Who should did start for the cowboys? Give us your take. I believe that Got A good army can Spain pocket. And he's got a good Sandra now but the conversation on Tom Brady Stephen I think he's off the mark Tom Brady take can take. Anybody has a defensive offensive and work with them. That's just who he is. That's how Tom Brady hit his not that he's that great but a quarterback should be able to work with anybody. He has always CAINE. Thanks for the call. I think he has worked with anybody. Has I mean that's Do we think that the Patriots would have one more or less games. Last year. It Brady wasn't the starting quarterback I mean the answer to that is less. The problem is quarterback take a just a huge dip at some point. Let's remember Peyton. Manning won a couple of super bowls with the broncos. And you could argue that the broncos won in spite of peyton manning not because of peyton manning as great as Payton's career was was towards the end of his career. He wasn't near the quarterback. The presumption is that Brady will hit that same wall because we're used to seeing penza synthetic motor oils.
Eli Manning and the Hall of Fame: The case for and against
"Ally manning thing announced his retirement on Wednesday retiring after sixteen seasons. He's thirty nine years old The giants quarterback who was of course supplanted by Danny dimes. This year but was a rock for for many years is now heads into retirement and it makes sense Meena In fact as a New York I all my friends are giant spans. I was on a tax change just the day before this news broke. And we're talking about that. Allies GonNA retire probably soon. Because when you look at the landscape with all these older quarterbacks on the market and what allies allies been doing the last couple of years. It never made sense that he was going to find a place to start games or perhaps he didn't want to be a backup. So this all made sense but still it. It is the end of an era in New York. I would love nothing more to come in here and defy I. I think what you all know. I'm about to say about Eli Manning I should not be wh- down calls US football cools right. Yeah I would love to say you know what guys you can't tell the story of football without Eli Manning which by the way why why is he the only person who gets that benefit say that about anyone else other than Eli. There's a lot of guys you can't tell the story of football without Aaron Hernandez put them in the hall of fame or if you want to look at pat super we were both. I mean they don't want any of them without dont`a hightower that's a holiday thing. Greg is compared. Eli Manning to know first. Ten Sahal Hyphen reductionist could be just one thing. You consider about a candidate quite well the few want ally in the holly. It's either two cases. One one is longevity. which is I think? A lot of people throw out. Because there's just too many guys who would get in by that and then the other is the two super bowls in the story thing. That's just not about how I would define it. It just becomes an argument. About how do you define the hall of fame. I think in my case against him has always been and yeah. I've been making this case for probably eight or nine years. So this is how long he's been average He's just been averaged entire career. Average in completion percentage yards per attempt. He's actually really way. Below average in the law of the interception categories passer rating these average. He's just for the time he entered the league to the time he left the league. He was an average quarterback over or that span. I I still don't like that being the conversation though when he retired. I we've had this argument so many times that I think we're just tired of it like we've said everything that there is to say about. Eli Manning in the Hall of Famer Eli Manning in general that. I actually was annoyed almost yesterday that that's the conversation when a really great player who was a big part of the league in you know no matter whether he was a top five quarterback no he never was maybe in two two thousand eleven. I went through it once. I think I had him at a top five quarterback one year top ten quarterback only one other your. Yeah that's not the hall of fame but like immediately the second he retires. The entire conversation is like the start of the public hall of fame. Talk which is GONNA be. Never any people are so confident about what's going to happen you don't I know what's going to happen becoming. We were like you know he will be in. It's like you don't know that I think the manning name like this is not a new thought but just that we've talked about royalty and stuff that he's sort of this. NFL Family fixture that. The people voting for this. I think they're gonNa Push Eli Manning right in not maybe. CBS voters down. The conversation depends on who he's against. Though you're really does. Conversation will be never ending for five years then going in. I'm sorry I don't listen you. Everybody discounts counting stats and cory will get too caught up or only point at the two rings and the two superbowl. MVP's but I just think there's something that'd be so if he didn't win those super bowls he's he's not he's not going to have him. I get that but there's something to be said and it's always been feel overlooked both on this podcast aspect in general. Because Eli can be a target. I feel like on twitter that the giants drafted him or the chargers. Technically but the giants Brought him into the team in two thousand four. They put him in the lineup in around October that year and then they never had to think about the quarterback position again for the next ten eleven eleven twelve years and I know things didn't end very well but they should have been thinking about it so when you're when you're talking about right ten years okay I'm GonNa say ten years when you think about other teams about your Brown's Mark My jets so many other teams in the league that go through constant search a churn looking for a guy and you end up with a stop. Stopgap and a rookie. You stinks and then a stop Gat and then another rookie. And maybe you hit on something. Like the SEAHAWKS got Russell Wilson. They don't have to think about anything. Russell Wilson's a better player than the but he eli for ten twelve years. They put him in there. He did his job. He was not spectacular but he was steady. You never had to worry about him getting hurt because he never did. He's the most durable the player ever. You'd never had to worry about him saying stupid something stupid to the media. He always handled that very well. You never had to worry about him. Getting into like a behind the scenes drama with with a coach and exploding and him being at odds and using the media to get a point across and all that stuff he was a Walter Payton Man of the year guy he was a total title. Good Dude and in those playoff runs. Then you factor that in for me. He rose up in historic way. And then just beat. Anybody didn't beat the Jacksonville. We'll jaguars didn't beat a Pittsburgh. steelers heat the Patriots and he'd be Bill Bell Check and he'd beat Tom Brady. And if if that's not something that should be given added points knowing who the Patriots are and what they represent in this era of NFL football. I'm sorry I disagreed to just kind of view that uh-huh yeah beat the Patriots. No he beat the greatest team of all time the greatest quarterback in the greatest head coach. I think that means a lot. His team did right playing. Okay Ah in that Super Bowl. I don't think he would say he had the best game. Even the play he's known for is crazy play. That could never be replicated. The two twenty eleven run is what I remember most fondly. Va Man. I think people kind of forget that won the last game of the regular season that they played it was against the cowboys and then the three league games in the NFC playoffs and that Super Bowl he had a collection of some of the most improbable. Low percentage awesome throws goes for five weeks. Stretch that you'll ever see Joe flacco kind of had a somewhat similar run any add little moments like that the year after they won the Super Bowl two thousand eight. He was really good throughout the year but they didn't win the Super Bowl because if eli manning they want it because of their defense I mean they wanna because of Justin Tuck and he learned of it. It's equally reductive to me to say. They won because of the argue he was part of it took to get into the. I mean the kind of connected back to the HIGHTOWER. No one's out here making a case for hightower you kind of do you. You like to throw this one in. I is the single most important outside of Brady and Gronk like the Patriots. Don't have this run of Super Bulls without dont`a hightower. I think I don't think belongs in the hall of fame but you could every all of the cases were making for. Eli You could just as easily make for like twenty other other random playwright quarterback a case you've made for you. I think is the case. Why he's a great memorable? NFL figure. It's just that's different than in. Our weather also talked about about it forever his position he was not a top ten quarterback. I would say for every year but two of his career. There's no one in the hall of fame you can say they've also said forever. You're in West. You've quoted Vince Lombardi on this that the quarterback it just the most important for a position or a position where the spotlight as and that comes with way. More pressure To it then dot high tower where his position is. I just think what you I was able to do in that spot in those two years is something you can't take away from. I and and say oh he was carried to titles. Because I don't I just don't see it that way. I think you've you stated the case very well. I think it falls shy of the hall of fame. I think if you're a jets fan like Dan or you're the browns fan and you've seen nothing but Ship wrecked chaos at the quarterback position. That the the idea that you would draft someone who would play as Eli did before a PR stunt got him benched you know. Couple of years twelve years of sixteen starts and by the way we are stunned. Got Him benched. He got himself well. That's fine but I'm saying but also the disrespect I just giants fan and you draft draft Philip rivers and he. He did what he did. But you get Eli Manning out of it and you know. He's going to win two super bowls in essentially a total ironman at the position. He's a hall of fame to a lot of giants fans I get. I don't think he belongs to the meeting. Early either reading a story just reading up on allies career. I completely forgot the whole two thousand seventeen. Ben mcadoo where's Ben these days but Jacksonville Jaguars Ben

"philip rivers" Discussed on Bolts from the Blue
"I was ecstatic when he lied through his fit. And they got rivers in that trade of rely because he was my favorite quarterback in that draft and of course no one knew it because twitter wasn't around then but I was a big Fan of rivers. He he will always be. QB One of my heart. I wholeheartedly believe he deserves to be in Canton. But I think Phil rivers just gotTa hanging up. He's just got to retire last year. We saw glimpses of it and we talked about the arm straight taken. A dive decision making problems have popped up now but the team kind of overcame all that last last year this year just seems like they couldn't keep up with expectations with rivers under center. And I just think for his family I think he should go off in the sunset. And I think there's there's no shame in that of course we everybody listening to this. Everybody who's a fan of rivers would love for him to hoist that trophy in a chargers Jersey deep but I just don't think it's in the cards and I think he's had a lot to be proud love. He's definitely a hall of Famer in my mind. I know rivers contemplated plated retiring after last off season. But I think it's time and I think the chargers new quarterback in twenty twenty and I get rivers could turn it around and take a look pretty good with Derwin Adrian Phillips coming back and what it could have been but I have a hard time believing that you can go into the twenty twenty season believing living that. It's not going to get worse than it. Was this year with that arm. Strength with decision making. I mean it's just starting to dive a little bit and I would hate for it to go the way a peyton manning inning where he could barely throw the ball he can't move in. It's an ugly scene. I would hate to do that but I just think it's time that the chargers are GonNa have to draft a quarterback. Hopefully in two thousand twenty I think like you mentioned having tyrod begin the season in two thousand twenty. Let the rookie sit. You know worst comes to worst tyrod. Hi Rush thanks it up and they gotta make a change mid-season but yeah I think they gotta get younger. I think they gotta get it through the draft having all these great players come back hurts that chance of getting a good quarterback quarterback now Because they're more inclined to win some games now but In terms of rivers I mean I think I think it's about time we love the guy. Hi It's Jamie loves the GUY. I love the guy. You've heard US talk about and Gush About Philip rivers and how much we love him so obviously actually no slide against him. But I think it's time for him to retire. Hey I'm Spencer Hall. I'm Holly Anderson. I'm Ryan.

"Jamie is at lightning underscore round. And we're going to talk about a few things today. Of course we're going to talk about Philip rivers and there's of course a lot to unpack there but before we do. I'll let's run through these donations. I nation is from Marcus Caribbean. Who's been listening and donating for a long time? Thank you Marcus. We appreciate the very generous donation. Thanks Marcus next Samuel Gelber who left the note. He said my biggest fears are spiders. Weird pains in my leg and you two are going to pull a John. Genero stopped covering the team will thank you Sam. I appreciate it and we had the same fears as well. Next donation is from Antonio Stevens. I haven't had time to listen to this season. Caught the Green Bay. Recap good work as usual guys will thank you Antonio Thank you for checking in and thank you for the donation and catch up on those other episodes would you next is Stephen Pizano. Who says happy? Two hundred yes two hundred episodes. We've surpassed it to to now now hard to believe where we started from where we started that. We've got two hundred episodes pretty amazing next one. Is Frank Blakely who says keep up the good work thank you. Frankly frankly thank you. Frankly blakely donation and thank you for listening and Marcus his Sam Antonio Stephen Frank were all Thanksgiving's coming up. We're all thankful for you guys. Everybody listening and of course those who donate so before we get into rivers Some other news that is probably worth mentioning and that is a lot of familiar. Faces are on their way a lot of players who have I've been out for. The chargers A derwin James was designated for return this week. sounds like Adrian Phillips and Derwin and James are both going to return Russell Kun is practicing full this week. I believe. Also Jeremy Davis and Justin Jones and Justin Jackson are are full participants in practice or at least have been the last two days so lots of guys getting healthy some reinforcements on the way which this team needs at four and seven so nice to have these guys back and hopefully they can help right the ship to some degree down the down the stretch with these last five games. Yeah those of you who are fans of the tank. Uh this is bad news for you guys And it seems that the chargers are probably destined to just not make the playoffs. Get a middle of the road. Pick but play pretty good at the end of the year which should be exciting so we mentioned a little bit earlier. This we're GONNA be talking about rivers on this show because that was kind of taken all the headlines after that Monday night loss and deservingly so because it was a tough one because ultimately the team fell short again because Philip Upriver so we gotta talk about him talk about his recent performances because they have not been great Jamie. No they haven't and you know there's been a lot of focus on on the last two weeks in particular were thrown seven receptions and he's cost them points and put them in big holes early in games in all of that as a negative in. It's definitely worth unpacking. But I think it's worth pointing out that it's not just a two week thing. You know most most chargers fans are prone to saying well. Well you can't throw them away after one week you can't you can't say he's done after one week. It's just one week. He was playing at an MVP level just last year. You can't you can't just back after one week. Well if you go back and you look over. His last. Fourteen Games rivers has eighteen touchdowns and twenty interceptions so this is not a two game. Something it's not a three-game thing. This is something that started late in the two thousand eighteen season His place started decline after. Melvin Gordon got hurt last year it got really really bad. The last two or three weeks twenty eighteen season we all remember the team stinking it up and barely being able to move the ball in Denver at the end of the year last year. We remember that Sunday night. Game against or Saturday game. I think it was against Baltimore. Were they harassed him and puts the hell out of him and he turn the ball over and he looked like he couldn't get the ball down the field. This is a continuing theme. And I know he's had some good games mixed in there but The overall body work over over these last fourteen games games is concerning to say the least. He's making bad decisions He's making physical errors that you're not usually used to seeing him make a missing wide open receivers at times. Times overthrowing balls under throwing balls. He's having a hard time driving balls in the tight windows at times just A. He looks like a thirty eighty seven year. Old quarterback who might be done or at least is close to being done and he's hurting the team at this point more than he's helping them so it's it's quite alarming to see and it's hard and watch yeah no of course because we all have that personal tidal rivers and you know it's kind of a hard evolve because we haven't really had to have this before in the the past you know we can analyze him and he's had a bad game or two and He's caused the chargers some games but Now currently he is costing the team team wins now. There's never a consideration of bench him or going different direction but with his performance lately he's been throwing the team at a games. The seven interceptions. The two games like you mentioned they're both back to back division games which are really big. They had a chance to win it each time on the final drive. They're both spoiled by rivers his Andrea Sicilian throughout a stat after the Kansas City game that is Philip. Rivers has a seventeen point seven passer rating when trailing by one possession in the last five minutes of the fourth quarter this season which is worse than the NFL. And if you think about how. Many bad quarterbacks are playing this year as a really alarming stat for I I Philip rivers stature. You know right now. It just seems like he's holding his team back and mostly because of decision making his football. Iq was always what made him dangerous. But I think because of the lack of accuracy in the arm strength like you mentioned. It's kind of pushing him a little bit more to make some very bad in game decisions. I think it's speeding beating up a little bit and I think important note here. Is I think a lot of people are GonNa WanNa come to rivers defense and I completely understand it because we both Jamie. are emotionally tied to Philip rivers. And we don't want him to go. We wanted to play forever if he could but a lot of people are GonNa then. Point blames the chargers offensive offensive line and I don't think there's any argument that they are bad because they are but you know they were bad before they even hit the field because let's go never did anything in the offseason so we all knew that that was coming but rivers is the problem now in fact rivers last year the highest pass rating in the NFL while under pressure. So they weren't good last year so even in spite of about offensive line rivers is able to make smart snap decisions make a positive play while under duress. He's just not doing that now. He's not doing that this year. And whether he's under pressure or not so some I think except the rivers play just is not up to par. We're seeing a decline and it is tough to see like you're mentioning venturing and. I think you mentioned the football. IQ It seems like he's getting baited or tricked into making bad reads bad decisions And what's more the one thing that he was always really good was he could. Even though he couldn't run he could manipulate the pocket he could slide. He could climb. He could do do things to buy himself time and avoid pressure and now what you're seeing is. He's sliding into pressure he sliding into saks. He's climbing into sacks ax And even when there's no pressure he's reacting like it is he's fleeing the pocket and throwing the ball on the run There was a big a big deal. Made out of a a Sam darnold saying he was seeing ghosts on Monday night football a few weeks ago and it really seems like when you watch rivers there are times where he is seeing and feeling in hearing ghosts in the pocket. He's bailing out of the pocket almost immediately before. There's any sign of pressure and you know the line has been bad at times this year. They've had their issues a tackle for sure. I think the middle of the line has been better in recent weeks but they played arguably their best game. I'm did the line against chiefs on Monday night. Football between Trent Scott and TRAE pickens those two gave up. I think it was four pressures in forty some odd pass snaps in that game so those guys played really well. Rivers was only sacked twice in that game mm-hmm Of course one of those sacks it probably should have been three sacks because one of he was hit and forced an interception But those guys played really well and by and large ars. There was a lot of time for him to throw and make decisions in the pocket and that game and he just wasn't making them wasn't making good throws wasn't making good decisions and it seemed like the last last interception. The one that ended the game he almost throat without looking he was expecting a certain coverage. Try to look it off and then just threw the ball without looking to see where Ecuador was in relation to the defender and there was just no where to put the ball so Just just bad decisions. All around. And he's reacting in a lot of cases to pressure. That isn't there and I think that's usually the first sign of a quarterback who might be a little gun shy or little. Shell shocked that he's feeling and reacting to pressure that isn't there and it's forcing him into bad decisions. So while you can certainly say the line has been bad this year. I don't think that was the case in Kansas City. I think most of it was just rivers undoing himself to a large degree three out of four picks were really on him. Yeah and so. Oh you know. We're noticing this troublesome signs with Philip rivers are you if you're anti are you benching rivers. Are you playing tyrod Taylor to finish south year at four and seven. I think Lynn is in a really difficult spot right now. Because he's preaching protecting the football and making decisions visions and being judicious with the football and the one guy that he needs to rely on the do. That isn't doing that so if he's trying to hold guys accountable. It becomes really difficult to hold guys accountable. Well if he's not holding rivers accountable so if I'm Anthony Lynn. I'm really really close to benching him. Maybe giving them one more week to see if he can pull himself out of it but at four hundred seven maybe four eight year looking at putting tyrod in there. I think because you need to show guys. That rivers can be held accountable accountable for his mistakes. Because I think you run the risk of losing the locker room if you're not even trying to hold them accountable and they're basically just looking at you. You know you're all of your talks about accountability and protecting the football as lip service if rivers can turn the ball over as much as he is an not run. The risk of getting getting benched. I don't think I'm doing if I'm Anthony Lynn. At I'm not benching rivers I know looks bleak and you look at some of these Games and rivers is produced reduced and You know where you are at the year. I think you know I would say. Let's just assess this in the off-season I know this is a horrid stretch for the chargers and of course there's I still hope for rivers that he can turn around but listen I'm not saying rivers is the answer in twenty twenty. We'll talk about that a little bit but with five games left. I'm leaving my veteran quarterback in I I know what tyrod Taylor is. I don't think Iran's upgrade over rivers until rivers is no longer playing the reason that I don't think they'll do it and I wouldn't do it if I were anthony. Lynn is that I think this team would cater tyrod strength in these next five games. I don't think they'll adjust the playbook and give tyrod the freedom that he needs to succeed. We've seen how they do in game adjustments from quarter to quarter that barely tinker with playbook let alone cater a whole new path for tyrod Taylor. No way they're doing that he needs A. I'm an option offense kind of like Lamar Jackson. Something that's more cater toward tyrod Taylor strengths. And they're not doing that with rivers recent play. You're definitely putting that in the discussion. But I don't think you get a true evaluation of tyrod and whether he's part of the future plans because this coaching staff cannot fully utilize tyrod in its proper for setting midseason and then you run the risk of cutting that career starts short that will record that rivers holds. And then you're benching your veteran quarterback at the end of the year. I mean I know stats matter but still. There's a lot of things at play here and I look. I don't think they benched. I don't think they're going to I wouldn't and do it and I especially don't trust coaching staff to run tyrod out there and play to his strengths so just to counter a few things. He said. There.

"We I didn't get the chance to talk about the store when I was ineligible for like four hours one year you would you do well. It's it I'll make the long story short. It's not that long. I went to visit a professor. He said that I could park behind him. Because there's no space block him in and I remember going and we probably met for about thirty minutes when I came back outside. My car is up on a tow truck. Someone had called it so the car and so you know. I'm a college kid. I was working at the time. I got a job. One day. A week at The office of News and Information and I didn't have enough cash on me because you know once. Those wheels are off off the ground. It's gone don't get me wrong. My car was appeal. S I gotta take it. Do you get much sport anyway. But I was trying to get him to get it down and oppressive trusted. Look grab some cash. I'll pay for it. You'll be good that we can get your car and you can kind of move on to class. Well it got report into compliance at Notre Dame. They self reported and I get call and class was back where you had the razor phones right little flip phones and saw keep getting a call from Charlie Weis. I'm going man. What does he call me for? He knows I'm class right now. So walk out with the phone up. He's like hey you're ineligible what happened. This morning's asked for explanation and I didn't realize I did anything wrong. Especially because the professor told me Park there so I ended up having to go to the notre. Oh Damn Federal Credit Union. I got a check to make the check out for. I think double whatever the amount was like eighty bucks or something to get down so I I did get I'd to pay one hundred sixty bucks aside to donate it to a five. Oh One C.. Three charity it just so happened to be donation. Went to Henan friends with Charlie Weis charity. So I ended up being able to practice actress later on that day. NBA eligible. But it was the only time my life where I four hours ineligibility sitting in class trying to pay attention to myself like am I gonNa be eligible for the game. How's this GONNA at Work Laura and again? It wasn't anything that I would consciously did was trying to get around anything I just. I didn't have cash on me at the time I was parking. Where professional told me to park? That's how all the NCAA works right. That's all these things good to know. Though that he drove a p o s in college just like the rest of US know Ida get in through the passengers. It was a two door Ford explorer. Spor four I to get into the passenger side and for whatever reason I had to put the car I always so I could put it in drive. 'cause it wouldn't go in reverse sometimes so I if I was like you. Awesome my girlfriend at the time and we got in the back out and went back out. I was like all right. We're walking video of player. I think two weeks ago Notre Dame his carton isn't it great to know the Notre Dame's quarterback. He drove what everybody else drove. It did not have a backseat my car at times when I drive arrive because at the time I was dating girl she was at in my of Ohio. So I drive like a four hour drive your sear. It would sound like when I was in the highway like a plane taking off and I'm looking I'm looking at everything like the. RPM's aren't going up. I've no idea what the sound is. Is the car going to explode at some point but it actually made it. I drove a GMC. Pacer Sir. I it had so much mold in it that a friend of mine got in and he was majoring in something in medicine. And he's like dude. That's mold you could doc toxic toxic mold in your car and I'm like I was just going to grow pot back there. Something my car back that my roof in the back was all green. It was it it was a college folk. Sounds like a better environment for mushrooms. And by the way as as opposed to Washington state joy with news. Thanks Brady.

"Sunday morning at eleven eastern on thoughts astronauts graduated from their Buzz Aldrin presidents. Dwight D is a west point. who did my cousins? It's one of the most amazing places in America. West Point New York. I made the drive a couple of different times and you go through the woods and it's on the Hudson send it's on a point and the buildings are all made out of granite a hotel. They're made out of granite very very windy. The British are coming around the corner they built on a point. It's been there it was. I think it was commissioned back in the eighteen hundreds impressive. It's an incredibly in the fall. The show's GonNa look amazing. Easing Sunday on Fox. It just it is one of the places in America with the cadets it is I mean it just you. You're there and you're like I'm part of American history. It's unbelievable unbelievable. So you know this year in the NBA has been the year of the duo's annual pf to stars all over the place and it's actually after last night's reiter later win it's becoming the NFL the year of the duo's so It's pretty interesting you have in the AFC. The Patriots and bills have separated the Ravens. The steelers the Texans the colts and the chiefs and now the raiders have all kind of separated from the rest of the division in the NFC cowboys. Eagles Packers Vikings Saints Panthers Authors Niners Seahawks the one exception. That is not a duo that I think is gonNA make a real push to make. The playoffs is going to be the rams at five and three. I think they win this weekend. It was part of my blazing five. I think since they acquired jalen Ramsey Dante Fowler's played great Aaron. Donald still a beast. I think it's a defensive lead team. They have the deepest purpose. Receiving core of their offensive line is healthier. And they're going to now start moving around and using their rookie running back and I do believe that. Not only schedules matter. I can get obsessed on these but head coaches and quarterbacks matter who do you face if you look at the rams over the next month they face Mason Rudolph Mitch Trubisky. Young Lamar Jackson and and cuyler Murray summer talented. They're all young and inexperienced and this defense is playing great Seattle conversely on defense that is struggling of late faces in order Jimmy Garoppolo in San Francisco Carson Wentz and Philadelphia Kirk cousins. And then Jared Goff and Sean McVeigh so I I think over the next month. It's going to be very easy in the year the duo in the NBA and NFL. I think the rams or that one team in third place. They're very good off buys outside side of the Super Bowl McVeigh has owned the FCC. Ten Ino- I do think the NFC's better than the AFC and so it's a very beginning. What can I like the rams? It's one of the games I really really like. I like good coaches off buys Manzini talked about it earlier. Rams beat the steelers all right so last night in the NBA. A Lot. A lot of controversy say. I showed love controversy loud management. which by the way as joy and I talked about earlier Leonard sits out then last night he comes plays arrested plays great dominates the fourth? It wasn't a big deal until they gave it the name load management anytime you give someone named stretching yoga now it's a phenomenon at one point. We had the pet rock for about two years. We were into rocks because we call it the pet rock PA- Ladas pliability. We all want to be pliable pilates. Okay now it's a it's a culture so we got a name for it now. Everybody's freaking out and Charles. Barkley does not like this Sitting out stuff at all as minor injuries in his major interest is take twenty four forty eight to flu not. Stop at check by the Jack before that you know. Listen listen just say you don't want to keep playing back to back just to be honest with the fans and with ESPN alot of Roman. Let's be fair. I don't think there's an injury I do. Not all right I would prefer guys. Don't sit out okay. I don't. It's good optics. I think a lot of NBA fans. It's expensive I don't like I was a kid I drove the song didn't drive. I was driven Sonics Games. I want to downtown Freddie Brown Dennis this Johnson and Jack Sigma and Gus Williams play if a shown up and down I mean I I love down to. I mean I stephen. A Smith. Once that was his favorite player grownup downtown Freddie Brown as malign gene so I drove to the game and didn't see him be bummed out. I like my stars plan if I drove to a game and Russell Wilson play. Happy that we're going to the game we all you young people people now like stars more than teams research shows that young sports fans they don't care about the thunder they liked Westbrook care about the warriors they like staff you go to games for players in the NBA. You really do you. Don't go for the for the shield that's the NFL. You don't go in the summer to a baseball game because your grandfather did your the 'cause you WanNa honesty stars and I don. I don't think the optics are good consumer is being rewarded. But let me just say this Charles Barkley in his prime I'll just the number of games he played sixty seven. Seventy five seventy six sixty five sixty eight and seventy one and then it got old. That went down to fifty three. I like chuck but you know what it was called tired. Sore Hammy knee hurt. The minute we called it load management people freaked out. I mean that's part of it Charles. Barkley was a guy he took took a lot of games off but nobody called it anything. It was just called partied hard last night in New York. I Want Philadelphia Game Off. Here's the other thing. Is that once shoe become the NBA star Driven League. Once you become arguably the best player in this league for the microphone the microscope the scope heats up people for years like you know the NBA Stars to poetic all know. Lebron was into Politics Damian. Lillard and won't talk politics. Six Janas didn't WanNa talk politics. Chris Polin Talk Politics but grid. One doc politics Westbrook one talk politics. James Harden politics now. Lebron talk politics because because he was the best player in the microscopes on him. Everybody's like everybody talk politics. Lebron by the way loan management okay so now co is arguably the best player the microscopes on him because he's threatening Lebron just like Lebron threatened. MJ and everybody's like way own Management Russell. Westbrook took a took a game off this week load management. Nobody cared why because we don't consider them the best player. So this is a star driven leak and when you are the best player for a brief time it was doctor Jay and then it was Kareem and then it was a magic and that was imagine bird and Kobe and we knew about their private lives. And now you add twitter and social media and load management and this is just what happens guys have been taking time off forever. But they weren't the best player in the game and once in in this star driven league you become the best player I mean you guys have been going to strip clubs forever. Why do I know James Harden does this play a guy that's a backup on Houston that goes more and James Harden but in a star driven league? We are obsessed about the guy who threatens the guy and Colli now is threatening Lebron James. I do think Kobe right now for this second. Can't I don't know how long it will. Last is the best player on the game. If I need a bucket I take Kover. Lebron you to stop. I take over Lebron but I think we have done this that we look at an the individual and if he leads an industry and this individual has a habit or a theme or a strong belief we think the industry does Lebron talk politics. Ninety eighty nine percent of these players. Don't WanNa talk politics. They don't want the blowback by the way co is doing load management. Ninety percent of these players aren't doing load management. Everybody in this league league's Miss Seven Games. That's kind of in the NBA season starts and Kobe's like at the you know in. Kobe gets to appoint Kobe. Okay can I take the road game off before the All star break. They get an extra day. Can I take the last road game of the year in Phoenix off. Can I take. This is what players do they circle it. They give it to a team president. I mean this is is such a star driven league. I'm told James Harden tells Mike Dantonio Dantonio goes to harden. Can we practice tomorrow here. Yeah when's the team plane lane taken off. They'd clear it with James. That doesn't mean James is a bad guy but that's the league. How's your star feeling and this was all negotiated by Kawhi Leonard? It was all negotiated. Okay the clippers clippers complaining about this. They sat down Malibu. Doc Rivers Jerry West. I'm not sure if bomber was there I think it was the basketball guys with coin DOT COM. If you you get Paul George Keep Lou Williams on the bench and I can take twenty games off never like check check check world role. Good I I mean do I think it's a great optically. I think it's terrible but we're all good. Nobody's going to hurt the NBA Long-term at all. Trust I mean if that sport became available on the open market networks would be lining up this one included to buy it. We would don't be that guy in the room in the long sloppy sloppy looking.

"New England often and delete their running game. I mean Jimmy Garoppolo coming up a very good game played well little extra time. Seattle went to overtime. Forty niners win. By more than touchdown. Thirty one to twenty three. That's a good Monday night football game. We've had this year. We've had some great Monday night. Football game some unbelievable Thursday day-night game last night was absolutely sensational. Let me just say this if I may the media of which I am marginally marginally apart of just crushed bill polian. How could you miss on the Mark Jackson and listen? We all miss on these quarterbacks who knows I mean Dak Prescott. Everybody in the league passed on three rounds. Tom Brady. Everybody passed on him for five rounds. quarterbacks hard to get Russell Wilson everybody's past that including Seattle for two rounds. How about this sports media though gets crushed myself included for how we treated Jon Gruden on Khalil? Mack I gotTa tell you something. They got two first round picks. Have already use one Josh Jacobs. You've got me rookie of the year. And the second one they have the bears pick will. Chicago's Chicago's not very good. That's going to end up being a top ten pick. This morning. I looked up. Who on the mock drafts? Who would be available eligible about the ninth or Tenth Pick Oklahoma Receiver? CD-ROM have you seen imply. Oh my Lord Gruden's good with wide receivers. This thing's going to work workout okay. He's GONNA end up getting to great players. You can't doubt what what what Gruden and Mike Mayock. Oh done with their offensive pieces. They've been I'm great with their offensive. Richie Incognito Josh Jacobs Hunter Renfro the tight end from Lsu. They have done a tremendous job now quarterback by the way Chicago now isn't good doesn't have a quarterback and doesn't have a first round pick the ghetto quarterback so we all came in with the N.. Ville myself included but never forget this. Remember these sports analytics Conference Mitt. Remember when they gave Gruden the award for best analytic trade forgetting four four picks in the deal including two first picks. Those people at Sloan are pretty smart because it looks like a good deal today so Chicago doesn't have a quarterback doesn't have a first round pick Khalil Mack. A further records got five and a half sacks. He's terrific no dispute but he's not like. Jj Watt not really translate into wins because pass rushers. Don't if you're always behind mind Jon Gruden Derek Carr working. They check a lot of boxes right now and they didn't check these boxes all of them two years ago but offensive line check check running back check check check wide receiver check tight end check and Derek cars playing as John said the best football of his life. I didn't love the Khalil. Leo Mac move in part of it was I didn't trust Jon. GRUDEN is a drafter. He wasn't that great in Tampa. He really wasn't. He was not a great personnel guy in Tampa but when I watched watch the first Mike may out Jon Gruden the first big draft. I gotta be honest with you. Free agent drafting Ale. That they were good they. They know what they're doing so shame on us. We like the dish that we should be able to take it to Aright Orlando scant came on last week Holy Crow. It was all sorts of craziness right. And he's got all sorts of stuff he He's ready to go former Philadelphia. Eagle former Dallas cowboy cowboys. Play this weekend. So we're going to have Orlando on. "He <hes> it's unbelievable. He's played linebacker now. Exists fifteenth season and he played linebacker fifteen years. He can still run. He still has a great passion. He's been great for the guys we already have a good strong leadership group <hes> defensively but he's really really brought brought it to another level and it's been great to have him have him be part of the squad over here. The question is if you weren't a charger. Where would you be right now. I don't know meaning another team. That's hard to say now after being in this long. I really don't think it do it anywhere very else. <hes> growing up in north alabama the titans weren't there yet when i was young they were still the houston oilers so the closest teams the falcons actually pulled for the steelers a little bit but i was more of a quarterback fan so i had marino marino and elway in montana and aikman farve and manning all those guys roll my wall growing up. I was more of n._f._l. Quarterback fan and a college football fan fan so that kind of answers your question can i can. I just interject one thing. I think maybe the other answer the question would be if that trade didn't quite work out the way it did <hes> i think he would have been drafted by pittsburgh so that would have been interesting but go ahead. Dump taylor were playing in the n._f._l. Regarding here fading that's the question is what is a good leadership lesson involving your faith that you've learned in playing in the n._f._l. Well i mean i. I don't know if this directly translates supposed to faith it does but i think i think the biggest thing i think is just how how in a leadership position how you handle adversity is has way more meaningful and critical than how you handle when things are going good. I've always thought you know you find out about your true teammates when it gets a little rough when things are going good right. Everybody's a good teammate. Everything's great. Everybody wants to work. Harder is fun locker room. What about when you throw an interception for a touchdown which i've done the plane attacks and you are you lose a game late and especially when you're in my position. You're gonna be touching the football again every week. They're gonna you don't want them to count on. It's how do you how do you handle that adversely. No they're watching it and the ability to and he comes over time. I can't say i'm an expert at it but it comes over time to where you go. You don't have to tell these is is you care. Sometimes you think hey i hope you'll know i really didn't wanna throw that and i really cared. I really sorry we lost no. They can see you do it. What did you do what you do on monday morning. On tuesday wednesday thursday just by the way you go in sometimes it means come out with energy on wednesday after you've blown a game on sunday and have some excitement heitmann here we go. Let's go and they go wait. A minute didn't he just causes the game oh but if he's fired up and we'll go to you know so i think but that comes over time because as a young player i remember <unk> thinking man just wanting to hide filling terrible for letting the guys down and you still feel bad but you know that you need to give them the okay to come on well. Let's go where everything's gonna be alright. I think i think that does apply in other parts of your life as well. We'll end on that philip rivers. Thanks so much and have a great season <music>. Oh and now my five minutes with a writer segment with greg bell of the news tribune in seattle. We're on the sidelines of seahawks practice and as you can probably hear yeah we're going to be competing with steven tyler aerosmith rick ross. I don't know who else everyone possible. Harold pleased the music loud here now watching practice here greg as you've done for many years and now you've got pete carroll blasting lasting the music throughout practice. You've got a d._j..

"Jacoby perset set is a crow. Don't don't underestimate this kid. He has total confidence and he's the guy who puts in the work and they're going to be behind and remember now and look hasn't practiced at all with the starters this entire off season and training camp. Jacoby has taken every stinking and first team so he's ready. He's ready to go. This won't be a stephen. You also made the point. You also made the point in what you wrote. What about that. I read this morning that i had forgotten that. In two thousand seventeen percent was sacked more than any quarterback in football all and in two thousand eighteen you know the colts offensive line allowed the fewest sex in football so this is this is a unit that has been really really built up well by chris ballard and is going to give percent. I think a fighting chance yeah excuse me the chief of the colts is i think that offensive line as good as they were as a pass protection unit last year. The one step they need to take is in there is in the running game and i think if if they can do that if they can run the ball consistently the blueprint here is not hard right. I mean we've seen teams win with something less than in the elite quarterback it happens all the time right so so the key though is you you gotta do the other things you gotta run the ball. At least you always have to have some threat to run the ball right and i think they can do that. Marlin is a is an underrated player running back and then you've got on defense you gotta get to the quarterback and you gotta take the football away and they actually have have the ability to do those things just in houston i think for example of big addition they needed that their past west was very average last year but i think there are a defense that has the ability ability to take the ball away and they're. They're working on that even more this year. That's been a bigger point about the system so they can do those things now. Jacoby percent becomes look. I'm not saying you it has to be a game manager but but certainly that takes some of the heat also can and as you mentioned <hes> you cannot underestimate the impact of all the hits kobe bryant took and two thousand seventeen <hes> it doesn't take start seeing ghosts when you're getting hit that much so the type of quarterback he he was then i think he is going to be immensely different this year and just be much more competent in the pocket stephen holder. I really really appreciate you briefing me on everything. You're seeing in indianapolis. What you feel about this team going forward a great great education in the last fifteen minutes. Thanks so much peter thanks grab my pleasure and now a live podcast. I tape with philip rivers at chargers training camp in costa automates california. We're it's <hes> los angeles chargers training k._f._c. I almost did these sound. We're los angeles. Chargers is training camp on with philip rivers. We have a nice crowd of philip. Rivers fans here in orange county and philip. You had your annual contest with drew brees out on the field. You gotta explain what that contest means. How it started started and what exactly it is well. We are at training camp. The fans have been great. All <hes> all camp here jack hamman sports complex here in costa mesa so it's been a good camp. Ah a the the quarterback challenge the saints it kinda got started this now the third year drew in those guys have done it and you know they've put it on their instagram on their website and so we've always done it but just haven't really really publicizes hadn't hadn't done it to that degree so when he was coming out and said hey we got a quarterback challenge. So we started started a couple of years ago. Now it's kind of taken on a whole the old quarterback challenge that they used to do with the pro bowl. It's kind of it's kind of it is kinda..

"What do you make of this young quarterback? It's quite amazing to me. And I think everybody else's amazed. I granted the game is getting a little easier for quarterbacks the rules. We're going in a certain direction. Yes. He hasn't one of the most innovative coaches office of minds all these things are kind of lean in, but nobody can continually perform when the holy is focused laser focused on sending you back a message that you're not as good as you think you are. And they just can't do anything about it. And so to me that's the proof. You know when you consistently week after week after week face the best defenses who have put all their efforts. You know, they don't they don't focus on on new on anyone else's much as they focus on you. And you still come up with a big plays the key moments, and he doesn't consistently. So you just have to you say to yourself. This is very very special player. And no other way to look at it. So on the other side of this when the chargers having a great season, but being overshadowed by the chiefs and a lot of ways, and you think about Philip rivers, and what his career has been it seems he's been overshadowed his entire time. So how big is this game for him considering all of that? This is Philip rivers at fourteen years. I'm sure it's coming out party tonight. I mean, it's crazy to say that, but there's like the whole the whole focus of the nation will be watching tonight in Philip rivers who can dominate now with more weapons than he's ever had a better defense. Maybe that he had probably not he's ever had. But but close that if they could do something special tonight people because oh my gosh. Philip rivers is a great player. Oh, great player for fifteen years. But it could really make. I mean, it could actually change the subject to be of his career which is nuts because it's that kind of focus is going to be tonight. Great stuff. Steve young. Thanks so much for joining us on get up. And we've got plenty more to come on the show talking about that game tonight between the chiefs and the chargers we will continue and make our picks about this game. Also tell you why we're picking them. See if he would greet next on get up. We'll be right back. Okay. We helped me we'll get up with us tomorrow morning here on ESPN. We'll have all the highlights. Tonight's chargers and chief which is a great game. We'll look ahead of Sunday's matchup between patriots and Steelers which might be as well and LeBron will take his Lakers into Houston and take on James harden. And the rockets all that and more get up with us tomorrow morning here on ESPN. All right as mentioned very quickly tonight.

"A lot of fun with Philip rivers. Normally don't get to hear too much from him or have him reveal is personality. I still love it. He was asked if it, if he injured his arm when he was in college and he was like, no, that's how I throw. And the fact that. Coach's wanted to make him a tight end in college. It's amazing. I'm remember when he first came out and Peter King said to me, he goes, he has the best chance to be one of the great quarterbacks because he, I believe, coach's son, and he's just had this ability to get the ball out in a great football mind. But then you watched his delivery and I thought Bernie Kosar because it was it was more of a side angle, not even a slot, but aside angle and you're thinking that ball's is going to get knocked down. Now he's got three hundred eighty five touchdown passes. I believe in his career, something crazy like that and doesn't sound like he's going. There's no reason why you would stop playing if you have all those offensive weapons and you're getting good getting better. There'd be no reason. Yeah, pulling manning was taken number one in that draft. I think, oh four, you know, and rivers was taken fourth. Is it possible that rivers is the better passer, like a you watch him play week to week. And the regular season stat wise probably he just doesn't have any postseasons because that success, which again, obvious you. Yeah. Once surefire hall of Famer, but he's average in the regular season? Yeah, I would consider him a better thrower than Eli. Ben. Ben Ben is always going to be feast or famine. It feels like, and he played well against Kansas City. But any looks like he's lost a lot of weight. He does look good. That's a pretty impressive draft where you're gonna have probably three hall of fame quarterbacks. How many NFL drafts have you had? Were there have been three hall of fame quarterbacks. In the first eleven picks you had three quarterbacks, yes. Point going back, ally manning, Philip rivers, Ben Rothlisberger. If they, if conventional wisdom have redraft, who do you think most football guys will pick open. Ben, then Philip than Eli. I'm going to guess. But even the Marino Jim Kelly LA in Elway. So is that the last time we had three quarterbacks hall of fame quarterback selected same draft. I'm guessing it's gotta be, and that's isn't that the most economists quarterback Ken O'Brien, and I covered that draft and was black legend that dog Blackledge Tony Easson. Where was that was at the hotel, you know, back then it was, I think we were in the Mariot marquee, and there was nothing going on. I get there. There was no is no big, come on stage and hug the commissioners players weren't there. It was just dudes who didn't play football who were on a phone and the helmet phones. I think back then and I'm ever going, I've ever John Madden being there one one time, one draft. And I wanted to know if he would recreate the Miller lite commercial where he rips open the paper as if to say this commercials not over and I and I wanted him to say this draft is not like he rips open the a p. Of paper or this this wall of paper. He, he, he, he shot me down quickly. He shot me down quickly, so I give a shot quickly very quickly, Greg and Florida joins us. Hi, Greg. When you have for me today. Hey, how are you guys doing today? That great. Yeah. Thank you. Just wanted to give a shout out to all the roads. Love you guys, gotta money story about the volunteer Davis thing quitting on a job halfway.
