"Well, see, to me, this is God's mercy. What we've been going through in the last two years has been God's mercy to America. The American church to say that I'm going to let you see how bad it can get in ten minutes. Just to let you know that if you do not choose rightly, this is what happens. This is where you will go. And this is only the beginning of sorrows. My parents grew up, they tasted communism and the wickedness of that world. Most Americans have no idea that it's right around the corner. Where you can see it happening in the blue states in the blue states cities like New York or whatever. The falling off into madness in months. You can see it with your own eyes, the lawlessness, the people who ought to be in hospitals or institutions wandering around the streets. This is what happens, and it happens quickly. So I really do believe, honestly, Phil, people are waking up, people are seeing that I miss something. I must have missed something because I thought everything would be wonderful. Let me go. Yeah, you said mercy. Let me just go out with this. Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities to be obedient to be ready to do whatever is good to slender no one to be peaceable and considerate and so true humility toward all men are finished with this. At one time, we too were foolish. I've been disobedient to save and enslave all kinds of passions of pleasures. We lived in mass, that's the counterculture Dennis bay in being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God are savior appeared, he saved us. Not because of righteous things we had done, and you said it well ago. But because of his mercy because of his rebirth and renewal by the way. We're coming back. We're coming back to unpack that little word mercy that big idea will be right back, talking to the author of a new book on canceled Phil Robertson. But you only want the ones that you can't get. All right, folks. I hate to wrap things up with my friend Phil Robertson. The book is on canceled Phil, there's a lot I want to talk to you about. You want it to read something from one of your favorite books. Why don't we let you do that? Roman ship that 12 offer your body's just living sacrifices wholly in place into God, which is your spiritual activation of the future. As living. Sacrifice. Holy and pleasing to God. Which is your spiritual act of worship. So you can't do this two days a week. This is the way you are. All of the time. Well, how many people do you think live that way? It's an interesting thing, isn't it? There are people that they just don't even think that's possible. They don't get it. They are slaves to sin. I mean, that's the point is that they can't even imagine a world where they give themselves over to God's purposes. They don't even know what that looks like. The kingdom of God, I'm trying to get them to see should have way more of an impact if we would get out and do these things. Love must be sincere. Hate for this evil. What is evil? Not who is evil? Hey, what is evil? Praying to what's good, be the vote into one another. I don't want another bug yourself. Never be lacking it never be backing in zeal. But keep your spiritual fervor. You can't do it two hours a week. Serving the lord beat joyful in hope. And affliction. Faithful in prayer, share with God's people who are in need, practice, hospitality, bless those who persecute you. You're not blessing. You mean I can't be mean as they are? You just get understand. God will judge us all. Do not repay evil for evil. Be careful to be what is right in the eyes of everybody. That's all the time. If it's possible, as far as it depends on you about in with this, live at peace with everyone. Don't take revenge, leave room for God's way. Let him do the judging. I don't hold it against anybody, but they curse me. I look at it and say, yeah, they curse Jesus too. If they hated him, Jesus said, they'll hate you too. You will be persecuted, suck it up and get on with showing people how to live a very 9 year old business. Work hard with your hands, live a quiet life, your day to day life or when the respect that outsiders so that you won't be dependent on anybody. That's the way I roll. That's erroneous but we live first the four 11. Yep. We didn't expect to get a Bible study here, but that's the beauty of it. When you said suck it up, that's not the King James. That's the new King James, says suck it up. And the passion. I wouldn't even read the passion translation that uses profanity. Listen. I want you to know what taxes that I love you dearly. I really did. Well, I love you too. You used to cry. Used about you folks I'm talking to Phil Robertson, the duck commander, his new book is called uncanceled, finding meaning and peace in a culture of accusations, shame, and condemnation. Phil, I think there many, many people who are not conservatives who are not Christians who nonetheless see that things have gotten so bad they don't know where to turn. They are themselves saying, I've never seen anything like this. This is madness. Anybody who has a sense of history thinks back to the French Revolution or to the Bolshevik revolution where anybody who tried to cozy up the power and to be one of the councillors themselves eventually had their head in the guillotine or were sent to the deaf kid to the gulag. This is a pattern that's gone over and over through history. It does not work. It's building your house on sand and I think a lot of people who, as I said, are not overly conservative or Christian, nonetheless, they're looking around thinking, this is crazy. How do we get out of this? Talk of ticks, flows down the hill, down the hill, and you say, from culture, it produces culture produces the politicians. This is not a political fix. This is a spiritual fix. I would tell the city out there love is patient, so be patient as you reach out to your neighbor. Love is kind. Love does not envy love does not boast, love is not proud, love is not rude, love is not self seeking, that check this out. I would say this to the saved over the last love is not easily angered and love check this out. Keeps no record of wrongs. When Jesus came down, he said, well, I forgave you and remove your sin. I'm done with, I'm done with that. I'm not going to hold it against you ever again. Just look at how the cancel culture has much of this text. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. Love always protects love always trust love always hopes, love always perseveres and check this out. Love never fails. That's first Corinthians 13 power writing to the same caribbeans, the same people, he worries said earlier, don't deceive yourself. Don't deceive yourself. Neither the sector nor the dollar to their daughters. He gave him all that. But he got to the end, this is first green things 13. He says, look, you know what? The problem is, when you quit, if you don't find a love for God and a love for your neighbor, you're going to collapse at some point in the future. If you devour each other and you don't listen to what I've said. So God's trying to get us on the right track. He sent Jesus if somebody has a better story than Jesus removed all my sin, guaranteed I'd be raised from the dead, not counting any future sins against me. We're on the grace. We make mistakes. We can pass them. Do you remove them? If somebody is a better story, but what is it? I'm all ears. Well, listen, it is funny, isn't it? When you hear it for what it is, you think, am I missing something? We've caricaturized the faith so that people don't see it for what it is. It is so beautiful. There's a reason they call it the good news. The greatest story ever told. It is the most glorious story. And it witnesses to itself on every level. It's beautiful. It's moving. It's far beyond just two hours on a Sunday morning. Make sure you go to church. Today is not Sunday, but you were a worshiping God. We don't care what day it is. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. You be a child of God and you show them what love is and you reach out to them and you let me do the judging. I'm the lawgiver and I'm the judge. I can save or destroy. You let me judge him. You try to love him and show him your own, the wrong track. Why don't you start practicing love for God? And joy and the peace that comes from it. Peace of mind, my taxes in 2022. Peace of mind is a very rare commodity. And you will not get peace of mind without that love of God, our savior Jesus Christ. It's not going to happen..

"I'm talking to my friend, Phil Robertson, the duck commander, has a book out called uncanceled, finding meaning and peace in the culture of accusations, shame, and condemnation. Part of the reason you're qualified to talk about this is because the cancel forces came after you a number of years ago. I don't know how much you want to talk about it, but I remember being furious. When you did at the height of duck dynasty's fame on TV, I guess it was a and E, wherever you guys were, a Rolling Stone did an interview with you. And you said some common sense things. You said some basic things. Rolling Stone will never censor anybody. They will publish any vulgar thing. They have a track record 40 years of filth and uncensored, whatever. So you were interviewed by them. And you said some things about human sexuality, which were a little raw, but you're basically talking about biblical sexuality, which most people would agree with. But they came after you as though you had pledged allegiance to Adolf Hitler. I will never forget it. Can you talk about what happened then? Well, the guy said that I believe he asked Jason first. He said, do you really expect anyone to believe that you waited till you were married before you had sex with your girlfriend? They asked my son that before they got to meet. I was not privy, Jay told me about it. My son told me about it later. Jay said, I don't care whether you believe it or not. We waited till we were there before we had sex. I don't care whether you believe it or not. That's what happened. From there, he moves to me across the room. And he said, do you believe mister Robertson at homosexual behaviors are saying? I quoted first Corinthians 6, 9 and ten do not be deceived. Neither he asked me a question, that I believe homosexual behavior is a sin. I said, do not be the same. I quoted this text. Neither the sexually immoral, the idolaters, the adulterers, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, that you ask about, and the greedy, the drunkards, the pains, the slanders, the swindlers, they will not inherit the kingdom of God, and that is what some of you he's talking to the church. That the apostle Paul said, it's. What you need to hear. That's what you used to be, but you've been washed. You've been sanctified. You've been justified. So he was letting him, he was letting the people know at car ram. God forgive me. He can forgive you for all these sins. They took that and it took him a month to figure out all I did was quote a Bible verse when asked that I believe a certain sexual sin is wrong. So that's what all that was about. I just simply quoted him a Bible verse because I thought that he argued with God about it. God had the possible power right to the church of car rent. So blame God, but I didn't make that edict that rude. God damn..

"And interesting side note, you say, when this was written that you're going to read, that was 2000 years ago right at it, just under 2000 years. You say, what happened to these people? What happened to that empire? You go over there today, and those Zeus, he's on the ground over there, broken in about 6 pieces. You're like, whatever happened to the Roman Empire, it rotted and it collapsed. My fear is the same letter that was written to the Romans that they did not believe. They collapsed and it can't happen to America and I'm scared about it. Let no debt remain outstanding except the continuing debt to love one another for he who loves his fellow man. This is, Eric has fulfilled the law. All the commands of children are being found in mother and don't murder don't commit a Dollar Tree, don't steal don't lie. Don't cut it. You're like, if you love your neighbor, what's this? The commandments do not commit adopting. Do not murder. Do not steal. Do not covet. Add whatever other commandment there may be. Or sum death in this one roux. Love your neighbor as yourself and here's the kicker love does know harm to its neighbor. So the cancel culture, their devoid of love because they don't know God who is love, they rejected him and they're playing like their God and their sinful and they try to cancel other centers where we all make mistakes, but they attack the people of God to try to shut him down, and then we try to say, we love y'all, but you're on the wrong track. Here we are, folks talking to Phil Robertson. We've got plenty more. Don't go away. No more of your dog. All my pictures seem to fade to hey folks. I've got to tell you a secret about relief factor that the father son owners Pete and Seth Taub and have never made a big deal about, but I think it is a big deal. I really do. They sell the three week quick start pack for just 1995 to anyone struggling from pain like neck shoulder back hip or knee pain, 1995, about a dollar a day. But what they haven't broadcasted much is that every time they sell a three week quick start, they lose money. In fact, they don't even break even until about four to 5 months after if you keep ordering it. Friends, that's huge. People don't keep ordering relief factor month after month. If it doesn't work. So yes, Pete and Seth are literally on a mission to help as many people as possible deal with their pain. They really do put their money where their mouths are. So if you're in pain from exercise or even just getting older or to the three week quick start for 1995, let's see if we can get you at a pain too, but a relief factor dot com relief factor dot com or call 805 108 three 8 four 805 108 three 8 four relief factor dot com. I use it. It works. Hey folks, if you could make money off of abortion or pornography, would you do it? I hope the answer is no. But I want to tell you, Robert Nestlé, the founder of inspire insight dot com, he was the president of his local pro life pregnancy center. When he discovered that he owned investments in three companies manufacturing abortion drugs, well, God helped him to see that he was making money from abortion pornography LGBT activism and the list goes on. You remember actually the last time I saw you was not when we filmed the Christmas special. We filmed the Christmas special and originally I had come down to Monroe to film the Christmas special with you, which we aired on TBN and people can find it. But we were supposed to go duck hunting and you said that year there was some strange rule that we were not able to go. And I said, okay, I'm coming back. And I brought my daughter and we went with you and uncle si, and we actually went duck hunting together before dawn. And I just have to say, that's one of the greatest memories of my life, even though there were not that many ducks in the sky that day. Well, I'm pretty sure you recognize that. You need to get out more. Get out of a city from time to time, attack this because it's, you don't want to be a 100% city slicker, just a little bit. I'm only, I only wear the costume of a city city slicker to fool the other city slickers, okay? Deep down, my beard is as big as yours. But we cover it up with makeup. Call of ticks, flows down the hill down the hill and you say, from culture, it produces culture produces the politicians. This is not a political fix. This is a spiritual fix. I would tell the city that out there love is patient, so be patient as you reach out to your neighbor. Love is kind. Love does not envy love does not boast. Love is not proud, love is not rude, love is not self seeking, that check this out. I would say this to the saved over the last love is not easily angered and love check this out. Keeps no record of wrongs.

Well, think of the arrogance. I mean, if you want to condemn somebody for a sin, you have to be aware, scripture says that with the measure that we meet out justice, we will be judged by the same measure. And the folks that are doing this, of course, are riddled with sin in their own lives. And if they want God's forgiveness, God commands them to forgive others. And let's be clear, when you say I forgive, it doesn't mean you're saying what they did was no big deal. On the contrary, you're saying slavery is an unbelievably wicked sin, which is why God came to die on the cross to forgive to pay the penalty. The unbelievable penalty for these horrible sins. And so we're not saying they're not bad sins. I didn't expect to be so theological today, but we're having fun talking to Phil Robertson the book is un canceled. We'll be right back. And Jesus came like a stranger in the night praying alone and I saw the light I saw the light I saw the light in case you haven't been paying attention. The Biden administration has caused a financial crisis and they have no clue how to fix it. Oil prices have skyrocketed and when oil prices go up, the cost of transportation and shipping spikes leaving the prices of goods to rise. And when we're already seeing record inflation that's the last thing we need, our economy is in trouble and you need to take steps to protect yourself. If all your money is tied up in stocks, bonds and traditional markets, you are vulnerable. Gold is one of the best ways to protect your retirement. No matter what happens, you own your gold. It is real, it is physical, it's always been valuable since the dawn of time, legacy precious metals is the company I trust for investing in gold. They can also ship gold and precious metals safely and securely to your house called legacy at 8 6 6 5 two 8 1903 or visit them online at legacy, p.m. investments dot com. Well, my daddy left home when I was three and he didn't leave much. The mall and me just this little guitar and empty bottle of booze. Folks I'm talking to Phil Robertson the new book is called un canceled. And Phil, this refers to the fact that even though they tried to cancel you, they didn't cancel you because by the time this happened, you and duck dynasty had become so popular in such a money maker for a and E that it was very tough for them to throw you under the bus, so you survived and here we are. And I think, honestly, so many people were cheering you on. And that you have become a type because in the years since that happened, the same cancel culture has continued on, but every now and again, someone says, I will not allow you to be canceled. I will continue speaking the truth. I will continue speaking what the scripture says, whatever it is, I actually have hope for America, but it's only because folks like you and me are talking about this. Where Jesus died, he said, to a group of individuals who said they were without seeing and Jesus said, if you hold to my teaching, then you'll know what the truth is and the truth will set you free. They said, we're not slaves anymore. What do you mean set free? Jesus sets us free from Satan from sin from the guilt of it all. From law, not just on the grace, and he set to free from the grave. If someone has a better story, I want to hear it. Built into that story is the kind of lifestyle we should live in the place of a holy God who has came down, kept below perfectly, turns around and dies on a cross to get us out from under. So he can solve the written code. Everybody's canceled when they get a certain age and they send. When you get when you should know better, early teenage years, whatever. Your conscience kicks in and you're saying, you get canceled by God because you're dead in your sins. Along comes Jesus and says, get up. I've come to remove your sand. All of your passions removed by my blood on the cross. None of your future sands counted against you. I'll be mediating for you. At the right hand of God, when you stumble as a Christian and you will keep climbing, you don't see in your eye. So even when you're a Christian, you make mistakes, but you have Jesus to appeal to he is your mediator. He speaks in your defense to the father, he always says he's the greatest defense attorney ever because he's never lost a case. I don't think I've heard that one. I love that. We have a lot of churches in the United States. I can say, at this point, that are not really speaking to these issues. Either they're turning a blind eye to some of these issues, whether it's because all these issues are related, of course. But it's an interesting thing in a culture like ours as it was in the Roman times, of course, we're not as bad yet, but you have to pay a price when you speak the truth because there are many, many voices that they simply don't want to hear it. They want to shut you up. That's what cancel culture is, of course..

Well, obviously some of them try to be funny. They're just not actually funny, which is a problem. But I think we have the answer for you. If you like business news and current events with a side of actual comedy, I think you want to listen to, okay, Alvin, I can't say this with a straight face. I'm going to try, ready? Okay, here it is. It's called IP frequently. The hosts are David and Brad and IP frequently is solid business advice that tends to lean right, kind of conservatism with 80s music and current events. They're calling it the unicorn of business podcasts. I don't know if that's a good thing if it's funny, it's probably a good thing. They are also calling it the Holy Grail of business podcasts. So subscribe to IP frequently and stay up to date on their weekly stream of episodes wherever you get your podcasts, go to IP IP frequently dot com. That's the letter I the letter P frequently dot com. Volkswagen back. I'm talking to my friend, Phil Robertson, the duck, commander, has a book out called uncanceled, finding meaning and peace in a culture of accusations, shame and condemnation. Phil, we were just going over the biblical thinking that why cancel culture is satanic. It is accusatory. It wants to crush and curse people, God is just the opposite. He wants to look at even the most sinful of us and say, I love you. I want to forgive you. I want to draw you into my presence. It's so dramatic and it's dramatic to me that a lot of big pastors around America have not talked about this that it falls to a famous duck hunter to talk about this or a city slicker like metaxas. It's kind of interesting that the church is not prophetically speaking about this issue right now. Part of the reason you're qualified to talk about this is because the cancel forces came after you, a number of years ago. I don't know how much you want to talk about it, but I remember being furious when you did at the height of duck dynasty's fame on TV, I guess it was a and E, wherever you guys were. A Rolling Stone did an interview with you. And you said some common sense things. You said some basic things, Rolling Stone will never censor anybody. They will publish any vulgar thing. They have a track record 40 years of filth and uncensored whatever. So you were interviewed by them. And you said some things about human sexuality, which were a little raw, but you're basically talking about biblical sexuality, which most people would agree with. But they came after you as though you had pledged allegiance to Adolf Hitler. I will never forget it. Can you talk about that? What happened then? Well, the guy said that I believe he asked Jason first, he said, do you really expect anyone to believe that you waited till you were married before you had sex with your girlfriend? They asked my son that before they got to meet. I was not privy. Jay told me about it, my son told me about it later. Jay said, I don't care whether you believe it or not. We waited till we were married before we had sex. I don't care whether you believe it or not. That's what happened. From there, he moves to me across the room. And he said, do you believe mister Robertson at homosexual behaviors are saying? I quoted first Corinthians 6. 9 and ten do not be deceived. Neither he asked me a question, that I believe homosexual behavior is a sin. I said, do not be the same. I quoted this text. Neither the sexually Amaro, the idolatrous, the idea was the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders that you ask about and the greedy, the drunkards, the pains, the slanders, the swindlers, they will not inherit the kingdom of God, and that is what some of you, he's talking to the church of Korean. That the apostle said, it's. What you need to hear. That's what you used to be, but you've been washed. You've been sanctified. You've been justified. So he was letting him, he was letting the people know at car ram. God forgive you. He can forgive you for all these things. They took that and it took them a month to figure out all I did was quote a Bible verse when asked that I believe a certain sexual sin is wrong. So that's what all that was about. I just simply quoted him above a verse because I thought that he argued with God about it. God had the apostle power right to the church of car rent. So blame God, but I didn't.

"Yeah. Where are they miss it? Is this right here? Here's the apostle Paul talking to the Romans. Roman Empire, they were the world's greatest power. And interesting side note, you say, when this was written that you're going to read, that was 2000 years ago right at it, just under 2000 years. You say, what happened to these people? What happened to that empire? You go over there today. And those Zeus, he's on the ground over there, broken in about 6 pieces. You're like, whatever happened to the Roman Empire, it rotted and it collapsed, my fear is. The same letter that was written to the relevance that they did not believe. They collapsed and it can't happen to America and I'm scared about it. Let no debt remain outstanding except the continuing debt to love one another for he who loves his fellow man. This has filled the law. All the commands of children and mother don't murder don't commit a Dollar Tree, don't steal don't lie. Don't cut it. You're like, if you love your neighbor, what's this? My commandments do not commit adultery. Do not murder. Do not steal. Do not cut it. Add whatever other commandment there may be. Or some depth in this one roux love your neighbor as yourself and here's the kicker love does no harm to its neighbor. So the cancel culture, their devoid of love because they don't know God who is love, they rejected him and they're playing like their God and their sinful and they try to cancel other centers where we all make mistakes. But they attack the people of God to try to shut him down, and then we try to say, we love y'all, but you're on the wrong track. Here we are, folks talking to Phil Robertson. We've got plenty more. Don't go away. No more of your dog. All my pictures seem to fade to black hey folks. I've got to tell you a secret about relief factor that the father son owners Pete and Seth Talbot have never made a big deal about, but I think it is a big deal. I really do. They sell the three week quick start pack for just 1995 to anyone struggling from pain like next shoulder back hip or knee pain, 1995, about a dollar a day, but what they haven't broadcasted much is that every time they sell a three week quick start, they lose money. In fact, they don't even break even until about four to 5 months after, if you keep ordering it, Friends, that's huge. People don't keep ordering relief factor month after month. If it doesn't work. So yes, Pete and Seth are literally on a mission to help as many people as possible deal with their pain. They really do put their money where their mouths are. So if you're in pain from exercise or even just getting older, or to the three week quick start for 1995, let's see if we can get you at a pain too, but a relief factor dot com relief factor dot com or call 805 108 three 8 four 805 108 three 8 four relief factor dot com. "So brother Phil, what do you have to say in this book? What I have to say is it's about faith. Hope, love, heavy on mercy, so we have a culture of taxes. You're seeing the same thing I'm seeing. Here's a here's a little leading over in glaciers. The axe of the central nature are obvious metastasis. Sexual immorality is always the top of the list impurity debauchery. Witchcraft paper Discord jealousy bits of rage. This sentence and factions that if you're canceled culture and invade the middle of all of it drunk and orgies, that's one group of individuals. Phil, let me ask you, where did you just read that from what passage of the scripture is that? That's galatians chapter 5 and the apostle Paul is trying to get the galatians to follow the spirit, live by the spirit. So I gave you a group of individuals, they don't even know enough about Jesus or the spirit, to even take this information is at all. So I gave you the downside first. There's always been friction between human beings. There's always been friction. But that's one group. Whether it was 2000 years ago or today, nothing has changed. The fruit of the spirit. It's like trees that mayor fruit. You have trees that bear bad fruit. I gave you those first section morality of 10% vision dissensions back. Yeah, that group. They're swirling all around you. The fruit is scrolling forth from them. They're behavior. You can see you say, what in the world is going on. They try to go around being centers themselves. And can't solve their fellow man and instead of living by the spirit which is love, love God, love your neighbor, two greatest commands in the battle. Love God, love your neighbor. Love, joy. Peace, patience, timeless goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control. That's the good fruit coming from the Jesus people. So they're in conflict with each other, according to this text. They're in conflict. So they come along and they try to cancel others for their mistakes. What they what they miss is love, keeps no record of wrongs. That is the what you need to search for. Okay. And fine. And it's only finding found in Jesus. And it's friction between the two. Okay, so the head. The headline here, and I'm getting an echo. I hear my voice there, but the headline here because I know you and I know what you're saying in this book on canceled. The headline is that cancel culture is the absolute antithesis of what the Bible says. In other words, it's not just off to the side. It is the opposite. It is, let's be clear, it's satanic. Satan the accuser, as he's called in the Hebrew scriptures in the Old Testament, he wants to find the one thing. Forget about all the good stuff. He wants to find the one thing that he can accuse someone of and hit him over the head with that accusation over and over and over to curse them unto death. That's the satanic plan. God's plan is the opposite. It's to look at as made in his image as his lovable children for whom he died and he wants to overlook or forgive anything we've done, not just if we've done one thing, but any horrible thing we've done. So what very few Christians are talking about and that's why I'm so glad you're talking about it in this book on canceled. Is that cancel culture is literally the opposite of the gospel of Jesus. Yeah..

Phil Robertson on the Importance of Loving Thy Neighbor

"Talk about that idea of love. I think some Christians agree with you, and they'll say, well, mister Phil, you say we should love people, love God, love God love people, the two commandments, then why is it that you have some bad things? Not they'll say bad things or controversial things to say about people in a homosexual lifestyle. Why don't you love them, mister Phil? Yeah. I love them. But I think there's a better life or immortality is hanging in the balance. Let no debt. This is Robert's 13. Let no debt. Pay you that. Though that remained outstanding, except don't just think about this. The continuing debt to love one another. He who loves his fellow man. Here is something profound. Has fulfilled the law. You're like, how in the world? Could you feel the law at all these don't do this, do this? Don't do that. I could keep that by loving your neighbor. If you love him, you won't rest with his woman. If you're loving, you're not going to shoot him. And if you love me, when he makes a mistake, you would forgive him. And on and on and on and on and on. Therefore, the commandments do not commit adultery. Do not murder, do not steal, do not covet, and whatever other commandments there are in the entire Bible, I'll add summed up in this one route. Love your neighbor as yourself. And here's the kicker. And this flies in the face of this counterculture crowd. Love does no harm to its neighbor. You're

It's an honor to have you and tell us a little bit about your book. Well, that's good to be here. I wrote this one for the same in America. Finding meaning and peace with what's going on in a culture of accusations, shame and condemnation, I'd never heard of a cancel culture for a while until one day a guy walked in front of me at about 7 years ago. He walked up to my chair, they said he was a reporter from a magazine. And I said, magazine, you know, you win. He said, gee, magazine. I said, what is that? What's the DQ stand far? He said, gentlemen's quarterly. I said, gentlemen's quarterly. So he asked me a question, did I leave homosexual behavior with a sand? And I quoted first Corinthians chapter 9 or 6, so what I did that, they turned on me, and they tried to cancel maker. They tried to cancel me, but well, I'm still here. So I wrote the book so that the people who are saved will not get shook up when they come at them. And they're coming. They are coming.

I want you to know that american support So i had a question. Wait a couple of listener questions that we wanted to do. Today and one of them was was interesting. I'm not read. The entire bank is pretty long but he. He's the the gist of his problem is this he said i'm very confused. Own how all future sins are not counted against a person because he talks about being a born again believer be struggling with the idea that how do you see the in live you know and see him and in the he made a couple of statements days that i thought i'm sure what he means here but i think this is whereas when he said if i were to slip and fall i must go back and do my first works and he says astra guys forgiveness of those sands loot trying not to commit that. Sandy says a couple of times. I think that's where probably his thinking is a little bit office. Thought we'd have a little discussion about grace how it works especially for once a person becomes a son or daughter of god because we're not perfect in something has changed in our status right and how we live going forward but people really struggle with this and we get a lot of questions about it which is why bring it up. Because there's they think somehow still is back on them to somehow make this thing right up so goes back to what i said the hollywood's depiction of christian people most of these fringe radical dangerous groups. They're not grace based right. It's rule oriented religion that leads to when you have a role based theology. You get people making up rules that are not biblical whatsoever and bring out the worst in people instead of the best and so may i say that right off the bat to answer the question because i you know i think this is a legitimate issue to in christ. Is you feel like you can do this. Or somehow you know. We just went through the whole book romans. One of the main pillars of the book was. You can't do. This is god's righteousness that's why we surrender so you know. I think i would start off saying you know. Hebrews thirteen eight is an interesting verse because it says jesus christ as the same yesterday today and forever. Well that's a state but the weekend make any human. Jesus became human. So what does that mean. Well so when you think about the nature of god the characteristics of god and what's different between god and us right. he's all knowing he's all powerful. He's omnipresent which is not bound by space he. He's completely aware of us wherever we are our thoughts so in our minds. We think well if i messed up. I've ruined everything he did for me. I'm i'm back. Because i know about jesus and now i've messed up so i think based when you look at it from god's perspective when he he knows what what you did he knows what you're doing and he knows what you will do but jesus is the same yesterday today and forever is because i believe his forgiveness once we encounter that then becomes that that fact that he is the same yesterday today and forever and he knows your heart when he just combines it all at the same time. We're not able to do that so we say yes. He forgave us for all our fans. He forgives us. What we're doing now and he forgives us of what we will be because the cross and the resurrection is for the entirety of your life. So if you look at it from your perspective you feel like you're falling out of grace all the time but from his perspective that's almost comical. We're just we just covered that so so write this down. Whoever wrote it who have asked.

"Hey guys welcome to relatable. Today i'm going to be sitting down with phil robertson of duck dynasty. We're gonna be talking about his new book and faith into parenting in all of this stuff going on in the country right now and why the word of god is more important for us to stand on ever or at least as it's ever been now we're going to talk to my new friend phil robertson phil. Thank you so much for joining me. I'm really excited to learn more about your book. I've already read the press. Release in stuff and it looks like something that not only i want to read but also my audience wants to read because you talked about the degrading this dealing with the american soul so can you expound on that a little bit you read texts in the battle and they are numerous are two thousand year old writings. Two thousand years ago like low low tech world but but big empires for their roman empire. They ruled the world may gigantic. You don't works of art stadium if you've ever seen it up seen york in writings like this. And this is what spurred me to write the book since they did not think it worthwhile. He's riding to the roman empire the romans since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of god. I mean get ever message of god out of your psyche. He gave them over to a depraved. Mind to do what not to be done. You say what is it that they do. Here's the list. They become known ownership god. They become filled with every card field with every kind of wickedness evil greed and depravity their full of nb lissa. This murder murder murder envy strife deceit malice. Their gossips slanderers. God haters insulin. Arrogant boastful you say. It sounds like the internet which i've never clicked onto at birth of a cell phone. I don't see it. i don't hear it. I'm oblivious to any sex by saying they disobey their parents and here's four words that describe paul's writings to the moment so it will be up to us to read these radicals and say i want that steel pertinent today right. They are the ones who say there is no god. They are senseless. What's a human being lied if they're characterized by being since less there faithless though god they're heartless they will slaughter their gift show ga their own children. "A break. Well and i think obviously you're right in the look at the phrase transformed by the renewing of your mind. That's obviously a process. Because that's going going and plus j good ponts cadence seasoning. Thank about days. Hey has a little heat to it. Eat a little heat sometimes. A little hard. It's lack of the guy would fox news. I was talking to him he said. I can't believe you voted for. Donald trump is sinful. As he is. He said you know. Why would you do that. If you're christian. I said all neo. Neil buddha's neil. You've got a few sands yourself probably where you think he said you talking to me asiedu. You're going to get any scenes. O'neill said it's getting harder. That's because you put a little a little as as say little kids and see a little heat here. Wait a minute not guilty. If you see dude. I've always thought policy always framed everytime it talks about the gospel. You notice from the very first chapter. He'll say the to do and then to the gentile makes this point of saying this is for the whole world. So i've always felt these first two verses in chapter twelve. He sorta aimed at both those groups of people because they have totally different ways of living. And now he's working with all these towels. They don't have a background in temple worship except for false guys. They don't know about any of that stuff. Jesus rampal president of the united states. I'm not balsam. I'd vote for him. You know what i'm saying already have already. Yeah he's in parallel passage of the living sacrifice and from their jewish. History is in hebrews. Thirteen eleven where he made this analogy. The hebrew said the high priest carries the blood of animals and in the most holy place as a sent offering but the bodies are burnt outside the camp. Which is what they did under the law and the national of israel and it says verse twelve though and so jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood so basically just giving you a picture of the world. He he came to the world. He came to that which was at his own basically crucified him for everybody but then it says let us then go to him outside the kale bearing the grace he bore. Which is the idea of a living sacrifice in the world. Not the camp because that was his lifestyle amount. I love this because then he says for here. We don't have an endurance. City are looking for the city to this. Come through jesus let us continually offer to god. A sacrifice of praise the fruit of lips that confess his name and don't forget to do good and to share with others with such sacrifices. God is pleased. I think it gives you a better image of how like when you view. God's mercy god is communicating. How does communicate. Well that's through. Jesus is the image of god and it's not it's more than believing you're right. It's it's a daily realizing the difference in saying something as true and then realizing it's true once you realize it's true like when you so we might mourn with those more and but it's hard to do that when you're your heart is not linked with god and you're getting his spiritual presence in your heart this leading to that. Every time i get a frontal assault with with profanity aimed at me. I'm i'm i'm silent but you say but and your your your face doesn't come up with a grand but you're smiling and sad. I'm smiling inside when i'm here. What they're saying about. Jesus christ just a high. I'm inside. i'm like lord. This is this is i get it. Yeah yeah i get it. But i'm not a whole against the maybe they'll maybe they'll repent. Why didn't that's in this tax linlin mop paul. My knowledge is when you when you're with people you don't want to be acting like the people who are working for the funeral home now. They got the suit on and they're calm and they're oh we're we're sympathize and with your lulls in what you're thinking. Yeah because you just got paid the mayor jason. I'm here there. But i take me to a country embalmer country. What embalmer. oh you didn't want to just one guy shack in the middle of the woods. I get them in there. A few on at the lakes spread your your keep the show low key. Keep the show though key key you honest like just to make you ashes put you in an iron and then spread you out in the river stress the departure part and not a passing away part. We lost oldfield because he died now now more here. He's a little closer to have these come a long way in his faith because about twenty years ago we had this conversation and he said look. Just don't put me in a cemetery. I don't if you remember this. You said just make a box. Don't buy it. He's a make it put me in it. He said and then just find the curb or whatever and just dump me out river positive illegal. It is illegal. Yeah i didn't realize against the law enforcement it is. It is the reason why is because a funeral and people have gotten them with legislators. Now you have to be embalmed by certain bearded is go. Anything or burr. I mean you can be cremated immediately. And that's the cheapest way to go. Yeah its not cheaper and just dump it in a whole but like say. We're thank. I'll just go with the old style burial card for the guy who owns a funeral home. I have made more jokes of that. Got like because heals your credit card game online where she shovel you know and like you. Arctic graveyard shift. Last night. he was late. But every time i als- business. I mean he's like also i mean it's booming. It does he. They got a law to do anything else. On one thing you can guarantee on is death was coming and you know in in our area. There's only about four four funeral home so they're getting all the business you know so you know that people are dying to get into those places like my next line. I'm gonna. i'm gonna have the guide conversation. Because i almost said look. You're in the business of putting them in the ground. I'm in the business of getting them out there. You just see where that goes a little trying to think of. How many get into that out did you. Now i'll give you a factoid here. Hey let's take.

When Do We Turn a Corner on This Pandemic?

"I'm trying to figure out is okay. A pandemic swept in out of china got loose out of some. I don't know lab so this virus that comes from bats is unleashed on the world and it it starts rolling across the entire planet earth and people begin to that because of it there's a rallying everyone gets together. So they they. They said where my asks states. Six feet from each other spread out. Don't get into large crowds. Went through that era that part of it. They finally get a vaccine for that. They know works. Take this and you won't get it and so that came but everybody's still wearing a mask steal scattered out. I'm thinking when do we turn the corner on this thing and say you know what we got back saying. You can take now and you want that. So when do we say valley turned the corner. The reason is because every time there's every time you turn a corner they put another corner. That's what you're missing.

Overcoming Evil With the Help of Jesus

"What the world doesn't get that. We get on a daily basis. And i mean we as in in jesus is we get the highlights from sharon. Jesus you know sure we get the highlights of evil in the world on every newscast but when some evil person who has done. Incredible amounts of harm comes to jesus or they don't report that have you ever seen on the news. They're like breaking like we shared. Couple podcasts about one of these Leaders of a gang and mexico cartel come into jesus. Why didn't see that on the news. You ever hear that. But that's a highlight there that i'm light. That's yes because that's our our mission. Whenever i see something bad happen. And we've all if you looked at our bottom five bobble studies with evil people that we've all had we have encountered just rawl evil and re looked at them right in the eyes. So here i am. I'm not thinking about this guy may go into play shoot somebody but in the back of my mind it would shock me because this guy is evil or female. Whoever it was. But i thought. I got a moment right here. Through the grace of god introduce jesus to change this heart not only to save his soul and let him be a representative kinda like a guy named saul but also to make the world a safer place.

Why Do We Do Good and What is the Role of the Holy Spirit?

"An argument has developed over I. Think we. and. You can't be good on the low and you can't be good. Jesus. Either you're saying this both ways can't be exactly Jesus didn't have any effect like, Hey, you character agree one hundred percent wrong. Here. I'll give you four words just for the audience. And this this to me is how you learn. Because we both agree that Jesus. is where salvation occurs right? That's correct. So we're good and we love each other. So everybody were all family. We're all touchy feely today. However. The wording. Is We Zach Anna are on one side and you're on the other I have four words. Four words. To. As. The foundation of my argument and it comes from a letter written to the glacier and who thought. In Synopsis Form here. How will I say this who thought that? They needed salvation in Jesus plus. something. that. They could do. Now, in this case, it was circumcision, but to me, it can be anything. And that was a statement made and I'm getting to the forward. In Gullit relations to twenty. Paul said. I have been. Crucified. With Christ. And here are the forward right after an and. I. No longer. Live. So my point is. You can't do good. If you no longer live. How can that be? Because the next phrase. But Christ lives in me. So that's my whole point. You can't say you so well, how come in I John? On those who do good. Well I'm not sure it is but I'm saying. How can you do good if you no longer live. I John says there's two kinds of people those who do good and those do evil will do good. Why can't do it? So, I Realized that it's no longer I who do it? Where's that verse at? Christ lives in me. The Life I. Live in the body I live by faith and son of God. Who loved me where's that verse that says that it's it's I who no longer had the crucified Christ. Increased by I no longer live. That's a different verse. Maybe Colossians three. Let me say. Maybe. It's Romans. Romans. Romans seven says eighteen to. Yeah. This is this is another one. No seventeen seven seventeen as it is it is no longer on myself who do it, but it has since living I know that nothing good lives in me this Paul with Jesus. Yeah. Right, that is immoral sinful nature for I have the desire. To do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do but the evil I do. I do not want to do this I keep on doing. Well, this is this is post. Jesus. So, why why is he wrassling sale? He's going to ask you a question who's going to deliver me from this body of death because he just trying to you once Jesus comes in you say, can you start doing good then sure. But he had but he's in, he's in Jesus I I think that what? He's actually getting semantics well off because he's moving into Romans eight Romans eight is live by the spirit, which is where we get into this conversation last time on. John Fifteen and I think there is a this is a I had a hard time with this up until about twelve years ago because what I kept hearing was do better and be better. At tried it and I tried it and I tried to be yet I thought like Paul that fills here. I felt what a wretched. Man. Am I and every time I tried to do good evil was right there and it's Just I. Felt It. I felt like I couldn't bootstrap myself up and I and I. It's because we grew up in a faith tradition that really didn't have a good doctrine of the Holy Spirit. We didn't talk about the Holy Spirit Yeah. We really if we did it was what will retold he speaks through the written word only what about the inner conviction in my heart that the spirit is my counselor, my helper who's guiding me into all truth. So going back to the do good. I I. Think the Scripture tells us to do our behavior matters but the only way it's less about behavior it's less about works and it's more about what are you desire? What are you want? because. You're going to do what you want most and I think what the spirit is giving us those who submit to the spirit, the spirit as giving us a revelation of the beauty and the wonder of God so that over time my desires can be transformed. You talked about Phil when you are. You back in your sex drugs and rock and roll days like there was a time period. You know 'cause I interviewed you for project work on and when I heard some of the things you're into us man, there was a time period if I came up to you with a with a big fat joint or a scantily clad woman or a bottle. Of Whisky, you would have been tempted to partake in that but if I came to you now that's my point. But now you would not be tempted because the desires of your heart have been transformed over the last forty five years by the spirit because he's revealing to us reality and what it is not right and wrong it's not despair it's not saying. Your neighbors you do An elder must love good. he's got a desire to the older women to teach what is good get the young man set them an example by doing what is good but who is a? Saving you. It's not the already say you're not earning it. It's a free gift. So how do you operate? Well he purified him speak for himself a people who are he's very own and you know what they're eager to do. He. People what is his own and guess what they're eager to do on the PA do good.
