"Have any emotional in personal investment in louis. I don't know if i could take another one like it kind of breaks my heart a little bit. It's yeah we're saying downstairs before we came up like obviously The biggest speed homers. You'll possibly find. We'll be rooting hard for speech. But if he's not gonna win which it seems unlikely that he will. I got a ride all alfred. Louis you denying speak. Are you denying him well. I was just going off what you. Yeah no. I was just going by what you said. Influence her i lose a great guy. Family man i. I don't understand what the appeal is there. Though from just i sit down and watch. Tv i don't get it. He doesn't do. You didn't do much at all for me. I was struggling to today to randy like the realization of golf greatness. Sometimes isn't that interesting. Which sucks is like the whole point of these things to identify the champion but like great shots on repeat. Sometimes i just don't do it for you. Which is i. Don't know why. But i kind of struggle with the same thing today was kinda like why are more people not freaking out about like how crazy straight accurate louise hitting these shots and it just doesn't end not nothing personally wrong with louis. Any way just doesn't seem to captivate people nearly as much as other players. I don't know i don't know why that is. I think i've talked about this in the past before. But i think it's the same reason why people still give rory every bit of attention that they rory which is like not everybody follows golf as closely as we do for better or worse and for a lot of those people like you only got so much room in your in your brain and your emotions and you've only got like you know it almost strikes me as a hey man like fuck you guys told me like rory and dustin johnson and now i guess i can do i. Can you know do bryson. You told me. Those are the guys i needed to know. I'm not going to really invest that much emotional energy into all of these other guys and so i think like our corners of the internet. Like of course everybody. Yeah everybody appreciates louis and appreciates more cow and all that stuff. But it's just it's gonna take a long time. I think for the general public. The answer to this might be obvious. I just want to spell it out. And i want to hear your answer on this but like this is not apples. Apples of course but fill is an was the heartbreak kid. Right close calls majors forever and it just made everyone and i get it. He hadn't even start off winning one and then come close on a bunch of them but it made like it was all the new york vans cared about in two thousand and two. Us open was like get fill his first major like when he made the pot of the two thousand four masters. Everyone would does because everyone wanted to see him win. Like what why is that. You're a phil guy. This is just an example question. Why isn't it like that with louis. Well i guess. I everybody's different i for me like there's just not is it as simple as he's not american like that's a fair question right donald. At least i mean. That's that's fair. yeah. I think in this specific instance. Like listen he's got one. Pga tour win. he's just not that relevant right. I like i would. I would compare what he's doing. Now more to ricky. Fowler's two thousand fourteen then phil mickelson. I don't think fills the right com. That's a really good like i don't. I don't think it's ricky. He's playing so well majors. Is he going to get one. And then like louis probably not going to be that relevant in the next seven years. That's what i was gonna say. I think people like to invest in the people who are gonna you know. Be the next thing. And that's why everybody like speech played well at the right time right where he was kind of between a lot of these kind of tiger wasn't relevant. Roy wasn't doing that much and speed kind of just like soaked up all the energy and he was super young. Andy's american andy plays weird style golf and he's a great quote and all these things and it's just it's hard to. It's hard to break through with people. You gotta have a lotta shit going for you. I further record was not trying to say fill is the comp for louise. I'm just trying to identify the reasons why reactions different. I think we did. So i guess from my standpoint. I i look at more like i didn't get excited about ricky. You know like what's oh you got excited about hating him. So i i think that's it you and i think maybe just personally speaking to i. I just the style of gulf play. I think that's what's always attracted me to fill is It's such an emotional roller coaster and with louis ids as i think. Dj that's a great analogy. It's like a slow carbon monoxide leaks. Sometimes that's not. I'm gonna ask you ask a question and i'm gonna give you guys a minute to think about your answer okay. Is it a three-horse race. Don't answer yet. Because i we're going to check in with our friends at original penguin you know. I got my life. Hoodie on always. I'm wearing the.

"We were talking about the heat wave, but we don't have time to get to the cars here. Sorry, it's a song called What's called? He went. Yeah, Yeah, it's Kobe. That would have been a good one, too. Here. You know, got up. Cute. Yeah, ready to go when she says heatwave. Well, we just put it on. It's just a song. We're just listening to music in the morning, kids. You know, John loved Motown. And, yeah, you don't mean a lot of women named Martha anymore. I know I'm Martha, do you? I do and not from the the who. The show Handmaid's tale, although that just wrapped up and whoa, What an ending to this recent season of the Handmaid's tale. It was really getting slow and syrupy and sad and dragon and I was like, Come on. I'm about tired of this show. And then the last two episodes, and especially the finale. It kicked in the boosters, and it went off the chart. It picked it picked up, did it? Oh, it did. I won't spoil it for you. I'm not kidding. But let me tell you worth finishing. That was a that was called blood. That was a shot, wasn't it? Hey, you guys heard about her? But Arlette, I guess. Yeah, that was sad. That part of my celebrity update, which you guys decided that just to go ahead and tell before I got here. But herbs are garlic sales manager of W K R P Radio has died. How do you He was 79. How do you die from? And I'm not trying to be you know, uh, hurtful or insensitive, But how do you die from dementia? You forget to breathe At some point, your brain just deteriorates to the point where But what? What? What happens physically to your body? Because You know? Well, I'm not a medical professional, but my understanding is you're the best we got in this room. Thank you. At least fair. At least part of it is at some point. They stop eating food, right? Okay. Anybody check? See if Joe Biden's eating Yes. Heating. Okay? Yeah, I don't know. He's looking kind of thin. I had elderly family member passed from dementia as a C. I don't want to be insensitive. Yeah, I could have seen that way. Well, it's a common way to die and she was really, really old when she passed. So you know, it's sad that she died that way. But It's not uncommon, and we're all going to die. Including you, Mr Kenneth. Am a well aware, I know. Yeah. I don't mean to rub that in your face. So someday when you do die, you know whatever it is, hopefully, don't you hope it ain't embarrassing, Quick and painless. Yeah, Yeah, Don't you hope there's not some morning show gonna sit around and talk about This doofus that died one day and they're talking about you. Well, he died of dementia. And we think our president has that. But you know all this talk about Debbie care if he does bring up another interesting question. I had Why don't radio people have nostalgia for the TV show news radio the way they do for W K R P. Good question. I I gotta tell you, I watched news radio when it was on But I haven't seen it in repeats. It hasn't been, you know, repeated over and over in my mind so that I remember it. Well, I don't remember very much about it at all. I know that, uh, that Phil guy he was in there. Listen to who is on the show? Jon Lovitz. Uh huh, Phil Hartman. Great guys. Andy Dick. Not so much. Joe Rogan. Rogan. Joe Rogan was on that show. Yeah. Dave Foley, who Your name might not immediately ring about kids and the kids in the halls. Canadian. Those remember kid. It was a funny sketch comedy troupe. When you look at who was on a There's another one. You didn't mention yet. Who is that? Do you see Another name there? Oh, the guy from the T from the movie office space? Yes, but what's his name? I don't know. He's a character, Stephen. Root root. Yes. Oh, my God. Is it good? Idiocracy? He was the judge. I believe in Idiocracy. You're right. Yeah, he was good. He played Milton Wadhams in office space. He liked to stapler a lot, but he didn't get his paycheck. It was a swing line birthday cake. While Swingline staplers are the best. They are sweet. If you can get them, I don't know what he's doing these days if he's even working And you know what he ought to do. He ought to go be a model at Victoria's secrets. Oh, man, he would be good. Yeah, they would hire him considering the kind of people they hire now considering the fact that he's uh, unattractive and looks kind of like a man. He's a man. Well, yeah, but that's that's what they're into. They fired all the Victoria's Secret Angels. They all looked like women, and they hired Megan Rapinoe. It looks like, you know, kind of a man. They keep trying to be more and more woke, and considering the news cycle we're having. I'm guessing any minute now. Megan Rapinoe is going to debut Victoria's Secrets. New Juneteenth Lingerie line. Oh, no, my eyes. I know I can't I can't. Look, I We predict these things. Do you remember? We predict transracial and we were right. Yes, I know. Before Rachel Dole is always a national name. And when, when the trans thing was get really taken off, we said, I bet pretty soon someone comes out and says they're black and people have to accept them, and we were right. And then it happened when I was just making stuff up. We were coming trying to come up with a dumb comedy bit that day. Well, I remember a long time ago. John Walton, himself of the famed Walton and Johnson show. I'm a fan. Yep. Um, he said, when we first started this LGBT thing, he said, they're going to keep adding letters to it, and they have They're going to keep getting all these different People added. All these different, you know, little splinter groups and offshoots added to the alphabet people until we finally add the P L g b T Q. Had a pedal pedal feel Leah is going to be. We're told to accept it, and we are right there. We are right on the cusp of that happening. I think that John thought that animal sex would be normalized. He did say animal sex to before pedophilia. But we got to pedophilia before animal sex. It was a race, pedophilia kicked in and really made a run for it. I don't think most people care if two consenting adults do something right, but a kid or an animal that's problematic. It's a little problematic. So the terms that the people that are trying to normalize this throw around our Peto Peto gender is one of them. Another one is kinder, sexual. Hinder sexual just mean sex with kids and then the third one is maps. Minor attracted persons and you'll see this pop up on social media. Sometimes someone will go. And what about, you know it's not their fault that they're attracted to that. Uh, you know, as long as they don't act on those compulsions, we should defend their rights. Well, what? What does that mean? Exactly? Like their right to do what? China? What? What you do We have a support group out there for people that want to murder people, but haven't yet Hey, just because he wants to murder doesn't mean he's a murderer. Yeah, And the people that he wants to murder were pretty bad people. Kinda like the way Dexter used to do it. And that was a popular show. So why couldn't we make it actually happen in real life? Wow, this creepy conversation is made even worse. Order by the fact that it is Father's Day weekend and Yeah, but that's really overshadowed by the big, exciting federal holiday that we are. We're sitting right in the middle of right now. Well, what for? Whatever holiday your celebrating or if you're just a fan of the TV show Handmaid's tale. That's right across from darcy's where i met. My friend is like project manager for that. My friend amy who works in construction. And i said something out sarcastically in private messages that hey we're going to be neighbors. Possibly i a real estate friend that was asking if you were the same dan that she had heard about that was looking. Okay yeah i'm not looking. It was just a joke. I said man. Maybe i'll maybe. Would you guys rather see bill competing So to win the us open. The aluminum gets a career. Major back to back majors in its own course and that whole story or would you rather see a brooks and bryson in the final pairing competing for the champion. That's a good question. Then you know. It's not a bad question because i'm phil guy but i think most people would go for the other see. I don't know about that. I think. I think everybody would sign for either one because both would be very entertaining. But the brooks bryson thing can happen a lot in the future true. They're both very young. Phyllis i mean. He's in his early fifties now. Yeah he's never won a us open it. That would be spectacular. That would be on. Par wouldn't quite be as intense but it will be close to tiger woods winning that masters again after that long masters winning. Layoff almost that big. I know yeah. And i don't see it happening. Because he got off to a great start yesterday but that would be cool. See that sunday but that for him to do that he would have to go out today. I got to make the cut number one even be around for the weekend. He would have to put some score today. And i don't know that that is going to allow it and that's too bad. I really thought him coming in plain as well as was. And maybe i'm wrong. Maybe he will. Yeah i would say it's likely he's.

"The postseason? Simple question. I say yes, we won't spend all morning on it. I got another thing the way I think it's going to get a little bit weird, But I also think that the generation just needs to age out in sports, just like it is in life. That coming up at 10:40 A.m. eastern. I hate I just cause I'm a football guy. I'm a weird bird. My favorite team in my city is the NBA team always has been, because it's not the biggest thing going and I've just always kind of felt like a kinship with them. Like all right. As I used to watch him and they were never good when I was a kid. My dad would walk through the living room and say I was wasting my time watching this team. I mean, really, like He's a baseball guy. Football guy doesn't like the MBA. Unlike college football, I love college football. I learned that my father and I get along very, very well. But he would openly come in. You're wasting your time. I didn't even get to go see them Play in person. We live 60 Miles away. I didn't get a chance to go See them Play in person till my freshman year of college. Freshman year of college. My favorite team in the city, but I'm a football guy and in football If Patrick Mahomes were to not make the playoffs some way somehow. It's not this grandiose loss that people just that the writers and the pundits of off the sport. Weep at its casket that Patrick Mahomes didn't make the playoffs. They do that with Steph Curry. I mean, there are strong feelings can't believe this is happening. Playoffs without Steph, How dare you do this to James Naysmith? You best words. They are really upset. But I also know in football the way the league's built That the type of Titan it is in America. Can't compare the MBA to the NFL anymore. I can't compare anything to the NFL anymore. I can use it as a reference, but I can't I I don't think I can do it anymore. Right? So this is where the NFL does. Well, this is where the MBA fails. This is where the MBA needs to be more like the NFL. Baseball hockey, NASCAR golf. Whatever needs to be more like the NFL. The NFL is a separate entity here. The NFL does their own thing, and I need to compare the NBA Major League baseball and I do this in Major League baseball. I comprised a few years ago. I've been on the network now. What? 34 years? A few years ago that the Angels were okay. They're usually a doormat. The Angels were okay. Mike Trout. You knew then was going to be one of the greatest players to ever play the game, and he may go down as the greatest player to ever play the game. I wanted to expand the playoffs, and the entire reasoning of it was Mike Trout is the best thing going. He's hurt now. But he's the best thing going at the time. Still probably one of the top three best things going and certainly the best and when he comes over all talent Mike Trout's the best thing going in this league. He doesn't like to give a lot of interviews. He doesn't like to talk to the media. He doesn't like to put himself out there. I forced him to put himself out there by putting in the postseason expand the postseason. I get to tell more stories. I get to romanticize him a little bit more well. Go out there and wax poetically game after game and inning after any about Mike truck, this family and everybody will love my trump, and it gives us a chance to build major superstars again. Major league baseball's kind of taking care of that on their own. Thanks to guys like Fernando Te teach junior and thank God for him. But I look at baseball hockey. The other one's the same way you need stars. And I want to disagree with this. I like the MBA. There's still things that about the product that I'm okay with I watched the MBA and without Steph Curry. I know that you're not 855 to 1 to four. CBS, David and Buffalo. You're next up on CBS Sports Ready. Hello, David. Hey, can't know what's up, man. Thanks for having me on Doc. Did you send me an email? Yeah, man. What's up? How you got it? I'll get to it. I had a wedding I had to do yesterday. I Yeah. No, I Yeah. I mean, I'm way behind. I'm way behind. Go ahead, David. No problem and good. Good to hear you back here on national airwaves A couple points and I wanna make first about Steph Curry. There's no doubt the NBA needs him. He's changed the game. When you think about it. Any kid can go out and shoot a three pointer. And that's where the game's going Now. Not everybody can dunk like Jordan or LeBron, but kick you go in his backyard or in this gym at school and shoot the three and he's changed the game and Was more more kids playing the game that way, so there's no doubt the NBA needs them. But I wanted to come in on the PGA Men. I know everybody wants Mickelson. I know he's kind of the darling and stuff. I've always stopped. Nicholson was a phony. He's great, he's it. On Boyle talent, but I've always thought I've always thought he's a phony. I'm not. I'm not a fan of hurt a lot of things do about him. That makes me say good God, the guys You talk about professional wrestling. The beginning. Nicholson kind of portrays a lot of that out there. Um, you know when he plays, but I'd love to see Capital win. I feel like Captain. I'll make a wrestling analogy, man. He's like the CM punk. Of professional golf. He's the voice of the voiceless. He's the guy that comes out there, and he does it his way he grinded to get on the story played. Many toured The stuff actually played a tour that I played on for a bit soft. Florida. Um he's a guy that Went over to Europe and played and I look at him today and that he can have a good, solid ground today. He's kind of got that a little bit of that Tiger vibe where he can intimidate guys. I feel like on a Sunday in a major I totally agree. I asked. I absolutely totally agreed. I I will tell you this, David and thank you for the call. I'm a Phil guy. But I like John Daly, too. I like I like a circus. I like a sideshow. Now Phil is a much is a better golfer in a better program than John Daly. But I think that we're going to romanticize a little bit of this. The third time I've used that word. I'll try not to use it for the rest of the show. We'll try to put him in that Tom Watson, British Open type feel Guy approaching 50 year over 50. And a great story and something that people want kept go on The other hand, kept this a guy that I could easily root for because I found out I was wrong because of Ruth Brooks kept. I didn't think that he had a great personality. Then I heard him on part of my take. Heard him on that barstool podcast and totally changed my opinion. No, no, That was my fault, Not his. This guy's got personality. We need more. Brooks kept to When he was open and honest about pros doing basically the same thing that we all do it our municipal golf courses. That's a guy can get behind 855 to 1 to four CBS and you're on hold. I'll get to you guys. Does the MBA need Steph Curry in the postseason? I think it's a slam dunk. Absolutely. They do and this is going to get a little bit weird. Sports is just like life sometimes. Generation just needs to die out. Ken Carlin, CBS Sports radio Right now, it's the latest sports update with Marco Belletti sports flag. I can. Well. John.

"On that final drive. You have 26 20. Houston's driving They get inside the 10. There's not much time left on the clock. What kind of thoughts were you having it that point in the game? Yeah. I just knew we needed to make a play. Uh, I thought, you know if we could just get him support down up, But we would, you know, find a way to make a stop. Um, you know, I thought, you know, just got I know. I know how guys are. You know we're gonna fight and I knew you were going to give us give ourselves a chance because we had that mindset. And, uh, you know, again, grow over store made that you know, I thought it was the biggest play of the game is not that definitely in that play. Um, you know, to get the ball away from the Sean and, uh you know, I was able to fall on it, but You know, That's just a complete team. You know, execution right there, And obviously, you know, we get a couple breaks with the ball. You know, the snap not being well and you were able to get on the ball, and we just wanted to find a way to finish and we did that. Anthony Walker Jr is my guest. Let me ask you this because one approach at that point, the game is to just let them score. So you get the ball back and that the offense, try and get down the fuel for the game winning field goal. What do you personally make of that approach? Yeah, That's not something that we do here. Um, you know our coaches You know huge on, you know, giving us a place to stand on the field and you know, we have to find a way to get us up and that was our mindset the whole time. You know, we knew we could We could we We've We've been in that position before we could. We knew we could get a stop. And you know, our mindset is never just let you know a team schooling. That's that's That's not. That's not the mindset that we play with. Anthony Walker Jr is my guest in terms of mindset. In fact, that win came after a tough loss at home to the Titans. So what's it say about the group that you were able to turn it around and get a critical win the way you did? Yeah. This is a strong minded team over here. Um, you know, actually, we got great leaders. You know, guys that you know, have played in big games and you know, again, Philip Rivers. You know Uncle Phil's guy who's been planned since most of us were You know, still in diapers, you know good, You know again, just guys that understand that it's a long season. It's a process and you know, we need to find a way to just, you know, stay connected, and that's all we did that last week. We rebounded. Home and practice. Guys practice hard and, you know, we knew we had to come out and find a way to get that win last week, no matter how we got it. We just want to make sure we get the win. And, you know, obviously uses a tough team and we understood that. Home is going to be the same thing this week. You know, it's gonna You know, we gotta find a way to win. And that's uh you know, you put yourself in position to play meaningful games at the end of the season. They all matter And you know, you gotta find a way to make to win those games. Uncle Phil is funny. On Tuesday, Uncle Phil celebrate his birthday and the team posted happy Heck, in birthday on Twitter, and then you re tweeted it with Dad gum it. What's it been like playing with and practicing against the big fellow? Yeah, man. It's ah. He's definitely a character. Um, you know, literally. Probably one of the most personable quarterbacks, you know that I've been around, you know, outside the cover percent, obviously, but you know, just being able to You know, pick his brain a lot, You know, Actually, he's seen just about every coverage. Every defense that took the pro Adam. Um you know, so definitely he was a big boost Our defense This off season and then you know again, just seeing him and how he approaches the game, his mindset and everything like that. I'm a great leader. Definitely someone that you know you admire and you know, you definitely wanna follow. We're talking Anthony Walker Jr. He joins us once again. I'm kind of curious. Justin Houston was saying that you recognize place so quickly Quote, all screens and trick plays. You see how fast he comes downhill just because he recognizes the play. You can tell. He watches a lot of film and quote. That's what he said about you. So here's what I'm curious. About what is the process. Like? Like when you diagnosis play? Is it something you consciously thinking through is it happens? Or do you recognize something and then just explode where you need to be. Thank, you know, have the time I thought it's funny. I tell my dad all the time. You know, he actually. Hi. I knew that was coming or how you know It's questions like that, and I literally tell them like, you know, because I think because I watched so much film and the way I prepare. My body just just goes for me most of the time and half the time. I'm not even realizing that I'm going, you know a certain way. I'm just doing it, You know, just off of, you know my preparation and again. That's a tribute to obviously my father, who was a football coach and definitely got me on my life has some great coaches going up as well. High school coaches, college coaches and everything like that. So Um and then being here, you know, guys, you know, God's listening to me, guys trusting me guys helping me out on the field. Various minor Bobby Okereke. You know, Zaire, everybody. You know our whole linebacker room and so smart and You know, to be able to play with a group of guys that you know, I love to study the game as much as played play it is, you know, it's always definitely fun to be around. So I think that's that's what helps me a lot. Um, you know these guys We're talking and communicating before the play, getting out eyes in the right spot..

"It would still be Tiger if Tiger was lurking and had a chance to win, because you know you're number one. You want to see him? Just get back there and that the sheer entry can he do it, Kenny, Ever eclipse, Jack. And here's the thing. You know, Tiger is not gonna win the US Open too long, too rough from, I think At this point, he could steal an open championship overseas at some point. I'd have to see the PJ venue, but I'd lean towards no because they're longer more like us open conditions these days. If he wants to catch Jack, you know when he's in position to make some noise at Augusta He's gotta win because the U. S open is probably it's out of Phil's reach, for sure, I believe, and I think it's at the point where is probably out of tigers reaches what it is. I mean, you gotta be the opens there for the young kids. Now it Zach. I mean, it's great golf because it's fun to see that, but You're not seeing the creativity that you have to see at the Masters. I mean, there's been a bunch of these get these guys today who are right and left, and they're in the weeds and In the woods and in the pine straw, and they gotta come up with these. I mean, unbelievable shots in order to get even close on. They're doing it and you know, some of them are failing. But there are a lot of more actually making some great shots from like impossible angles and trajectories, and that's what it does to makes you do. It's great to be long. But look it, Bryson right now. Bryson scuffling man. He's one over par means below the projected cut line. He almost got a hole in one. He missed it by 12 inches before. Exactly But still, I mean, he was too under. Now he's too over. E think exactly back where I got back to one. But still it's like, Yeah, you're the strongest dude on the court on the course. His first drive was what 380 yards. He flew it over the trees. And you know it was ailing 80 yards into the green and made no sense. But you got to have some some touch. Off the tee. I'm not talking about like, just just, you know, Once you're the fairway, you have some touch off the tee at Augusta, where these open venues with the wide fairways. He's gotta smash it as far as you can. That's true, You know it, and I didn't think that his game was equipped to win wing foot I. I've been away for a few times because it's relatively tight. It's tight and the greens or whole lay cious. I was their elevated. I mean, it's this hard the other bases for sure. Um, when? When, Phil When Phil threw up on the 18th hole back in the in the mid 2000, I told you I was right next to him. I was right next to him. It was it was amazing. And I mean, amazing in a horrific sporting matter to see that implosion, you know, from 20 ft away, but I saw it and you know, I've always I've always been such a huge Phil guy and I feel like Tiger will have more chances at Augusta and maybe even the open. Even though Phil won the open. I didn't think that that fit his skill set it all. It fits Tigers more the skill with the Stinger. But you know if Phil Mickelson were to win this week and again, so I think he's gonna win. I don't think he's gonna win. I think whether it's you know next couple of holes. Hopefully not or the back nine tomorrow, put it this way. If he's there on Sunday, I'm worried about tomorrow if Phil wakes up on Sunday with sniffing distance of another green jacket That film is going to play well, and it's a matter of who's around them. And how well they play. I'm a little bit worried about tomorrow. Can you get that on slightly? 75 or 76? I fear that you could. Yeah, I hope not. What if he wins? He's the oldest major winner of all time. No 15. I'm trying to think of the guys in front of him. Who? Justin Rose. He's a really good player. Been a really good player on tour. Will. It won this thing back in six? I think that was that was that was I think that was four years ago. Yes, 2016 will anyone good player, a very good player, But he missed the cut last year and inexplicably, and now he's back and he's seven under so It depends on who's in front of him. I think for for Phil, because if there's some guys and he's tied right now, with Brooks kept to both of them are in the clubhouse. But Brooks is one of those guys who You know, he's intimidating, you know, you know what I mean. You gotta gotta championship. Dustin Johnson's in front of him. Justin Thomas. You were mentioning you say shuffling. I didn't stand there is running around my airport is right there. So it all depends. Patrick Reid's there because it takes an understanding. Of Augusta, which you know, even though when there's no fans there, there's going to be a ton of attention. I mean, this is almost worked out. Probably none of the golf gods were you in some way gets delayed. Now it's in November. College football on Saturday is going to be, I don't know, ravage. Yeah, it's ravaged his eighties. There's you know, Alabama is not playing Ohio State's not Paul Burns not playing all but it's not playing four games in the SEC having eight total might be nine. Actually, five top 20 five's not playing and then and then on Sunday, CBS is cleared. It's one o'clock window, so It. Zoom. Astor's is like the gods gave it Masters the weekend despite you know, being moved from April. They have a stay still have a weekend and I'm loving the bump ins and you know, I don't I've always been very aware of the topography and and just the essence of the terrain s O. I've always paid attention to the bump in shots in the bump out shots and All these years since I got in a golf I at the idea, I think at Augusta but more so this year because they're really doing a great job showing showing the foliage and how different it is, and there's just an arbor all burn. You know, tint to the course, which is which is amazing, But I want to get back to something. I wrote it down and I wanna make sure I don't lose this point. You said earlier we started the conversation that you see, you know more of a fire toe win. With Tiger on you you cited fills willingness to, you know, play the old man tour, you know, knocking around the old G? Okay, See, I see it the exact opposite. You know what I see. I see a guy. It's not a concession. It's not a concession. Because he's still hitting bombs. I mean, Mickelson at this point is definitely longer than Tiger. He is a longer tigers a medium a slightly above medium hitter based on the metrics in terms of relative to how he used to look, Tiger Woods When you look at him on TV, little bit, it's like, Where is that? You know, you should have thick legs and eyes. And now he looks skinny. Looks like a golfer down. He looks good. You know, I hear a little thinner. Where Phil is, you know closer to you know, he flew 1 304 yards before. I mean, not the tiger can't do that. But it's a different dialect of different exertion, a different taxing on the body. But But what I'm saying is, I think that Phil It's not that he said. You know, why don't I don't know if I can beat these young bucks anymore. I got to go mess around the guys in their mid fifties and sixties and start smoking them. I just think the guy loves playing golf so much, and I think that he wants to experiment a little bit. And I believe that he views the senior tour. Hey, he busted out of 47 inch driver this week. You know, I believe that he's using that as a bit of a laboratory to collect some Intel that he might not want to risk with the young guys because the way these courses are set up and the competition If he messes around too much. It could get ugly where if he has a few tweaks, and they don't they go awry with seniors he can still win, as he has two out of two times, I actually thinks fills passion for golf. Vastly exceeds Tiger Woods is just I don't think the Tiger Woods is on this. This this constant search for numbers and loved and trick shots like to meet Phil Mickelson's mind. Is I'm not going to say that it's my might say that it's actually better than in terms of seeing war evolved. Yeah, not in terms of mental toughness. I don't mean that that tigers number one of all time. What fills West. And and desire to feed his golfing brain. I think it really exceeds Tiger. At this point. I really do. Maybe because tigers out there enjoying what he's what he's going through..

"Your hobby and deliver this program may not be politically correct, but it is on target. Now you're host Eric Guilbert. Good afternoon non target. We're broadcasting live from the studios of LAPD Firearms Range and training facility that's located at 999. Bethel rode on his Derek Along with my father, Phil. Guys, is it me? Or is the general intellect of our country just plummeting? I think the really result of Cove it is that it's shaving off. On everything. Now, every incident on video and we have seemingly intelligent people looking at it. Heck. It's just crazy. What on earth has happened. To respecting authority. Remember? Remember, you get your day in court. How about this? We obey the law. It's really simple. Obey the law. Show me a case where an officer shot an individual in our city without provocation or without it stemming from a crime. Incredible. Oh, listen to this. Talk about hitting yourself in the head with the hammer, Papa. Like you said last week and wondering what? Why? It's hurting. I found this out this week. Something I didn't know something that defies logic. Okay, guys, follow me on this. Every day we pick up the paper. You see in the news that some 14 15 or 16 year old has shot someone had been shot all the time, right all the time. Killing themselves terrorizing others and society screams out. Our governor screams out. We have to do something. We need mental health counselors. We need red flag laws were banned a high capacity magazine. All which are feel good, low impact political footballs from no nothing legislators. The logical person would say. We need to start by getting the guns out of the hands of the of these youth, right? Who could deny that? But did you know that we are sorry. The politicians and legislatures have tied the hands of our men and women of law enforcement as they scream out for more useless gun laws to stop violence in our streets. In Ohio Today, you're going to flip you're going to flip when you hear this. If an officer sees a 14 15 or 16 year old child walking down the street with an a K slung over their shoulder. Or a high point on their waist band. An open carry. They can. Okay, Helmut. This year they can do one of these things. Number one. They can arrest them for being a minor in possession of a gun. Mber two Bacons, confiscate the gun. Or number three Hint. Hint is the answer. Taken dune. Uh thing? Current Ohio law does not make it illegal for a minor of 13 12 14 years old. To possess a gun. In public open, caring Got to be kidding. Run. Unbelievable. That's that's a result of these politicians. Making these laws with out any knowledge about what they're doing. So you've got these gangbangers on the street, these kids with guns And there's no recourse if they are walking open. Carry down the street. How I mean, talk about hitting yourself in the head wondering why it hurts. I mean, come on, But yet we need to band We need to be in the magazine or some crazy thing That's not going to do anything, right? No way are the hundreds unbelievable of lvpd farm drains and training facility. Interactive law enforcement. But for one hour on Saturdays you put together a group of fire mess spurts discussed new products in the market. Training tips and oftentimes political topics surrounding the second Amendment. Our commitment, though, has always been to bring you the fact about our industry and actually help our listeners and customers with safe, responsible ownership of firearms. Guys, is this where I can walk off the set. I just take this off. Nothing to do now, Right? Walk off in protester bordered by protesting again. You'd only have to have any reason to protest this protest. Yeah, just Get on the bandwagon started fire to.

She said to say hi to her. After the show my email there is fine. She released a query pop songs album on spotify. I think in July I just noticed is it the other day and it's amazing and it contains songs that I have from band camp which he's like reproduced some of them. She recorded some some of them. It's dope. Some songs have never heard what a treat check it out pop songs when a gift for us right before we got. We're driving in the Carl. I all the time to see her Carl. WE'RE GONNA end up driving all that both bill fine to DC. No no no. I'm I'm driving a lot. I are all the time Dr Driving Up to it's a whole complicated thing molenaar driving up to Maryland to morrow. Oh then Saturday morning saying on her parents house Saturday morning. I drive to Baltimore to pick hanner manner and we drive to DC. Why are you going to Baltimore Cheaper flying into Baltimore am. I was asking my hand into Baltimore. We're spending the weekend together to musical. Put into DC right yeah. It's Yeah I you know it's a located but it was also sort of a mistake but more from DC. It can't be that far not Baltimore proper. It's like the airports like in between Baltimore in DC. We should molly me me again and again while I was on the phone with Hannah trying to find hotel. It's the Baltimore Airport go in and I have had other problems in the past with Hannah booking airline tickets. I just feel like she. She gets to a point where she's just impatient with the whole thing and wants it to be over said. I almost booked us a hotel room for the wrong fucking day. I was literally literally about suppress check out and I was like it was like book without refunds at ally was like let me just double check the dates holy shit that was not so putting in your defense it is so much closer to Baltimore than it is to DC was even called the Baltimore Washington well. That's the thing I just. I was looking at Washington Area Airport so I picked that one and then I was like oh I wonder where it is by the time this comes out. We'll have I have already seen each other in frolicked around in the musical which I'm sure is amazing and all that yeah cult a letter to my ex. I think it's probably about a letter. The letter is the main character. Oh interesting from the perspective of a letter to rex we'll. I guess we'll have to find out we'll by the time hearing this. We'll know whether you're right or wrong. I think I already know but a sure. I'm very excited about it. Why give a big shout out to our mom aunt Brown. Who has been excelling in her hip surgery recovery? She's already on her off of her Walker and now just walk around with a cane how show Oh so cheap and drive through. She can drive again. Yeah Yeah Yeah so great job. Mom Great hip congratulations congratulations. What else is on your list steering ships so much on my list okay so that's one thing on your twice less than I thought onnell's okay so we skipped a few weeks in the meantime like honor vacation. Molly and I started playing this game that we've been playing almost daily really like practically daily ever since vacation and it's skip. Bo Have you skip. Oh no no from the makers of Il no no no no yeah yeah. It's just this like like very colorful like oh no. It's nothing like you know but it yeah. It's just this card game game in Mali and I play it like every day. Yeah we've been playing. We'll play like during dinner or like before dinner after dinner. Dr Brunch like we've been playing like practically every day that we can if we're not if we haven't played it in a day. It's not because we didn't want to or feel. It's just because like we have time to wow skip. Oh Wow housing you play it so you have have like a woodpile that you're trying to get rid of okay and that's like your you know one at a time you flip it over and you have yeah. It's kind of nerds like in that that way so there's like four piles in the middle go from one to twelve they you can add to a new like get five cards every turn like you have five cards in your hand at the beginning of every every turn and so you're basically trying to get your woodpile down so unlike nerds warier trying to get the most cards in play as possible. You're just trying to clear your would pile on the first I personnel does that wins and so it's like everything you do is in service to like truly just getting rid of your woodpile so there are certain constraints like there can only be four piles in the middle. You have a discard discard pile. It can only be four cards in that and so there are some like little logic but it's not very hard but it is really fun 'cause there. There's little streak set you get. There's a kind of a lot of like lulls little streaks that just is like a head of dopamine just they just pop in your brain so good cousin..

Our rights in to help lewis's inquiry on running game for all women hellabrunn sean. I'm a longtime listener and lurker the first time i was in ties to rate in. I'm responding to lose his question regarding running game for women as a female who has been gaming almost thirty years myself with all my perspective might be helpful. I i wanna thank lewis trying to be sensitive. However the bottom line is that most people want to be treated like people regardless of gender. My siblings answer to his question is that on average ridge group of females wanna play similar game to any group of males. He's previously dealt with. You're giving similar advice which i think is great but being a woman myself. I wanted to support at that point. The truth is in this day and age. We shouldn't assume that just because someone looks like a female that that is the gender they identify with anyway so dealing with strangers tried to remove gender from the equation asian treat. Everyone equally my bottom line. Advice is approached this group like any other group of gamers as you play with them and get to know them adjuster g._m. Style and the adventure specifics to each each person as an individual regardless of their gender or any other stereotype that you may have also on on the other topic about player expectations there the two great resources that want to make sure you have. I is an article from twenty thirteen that lists eleven ways to be a better role player sca- link lab that show notes the second being an episode <hes> the plus one four podcast about player agenda and principles wall suppling for that both these have information. I think you and your listeners will enjoy agree in general that there are a lot auto gaming resources about what a game master should do. I think the players having almost equal responsibility. I'd like to see more discussion on this topic so look forward to your future episode clothing enclosing. Thanks for a great podcast and thanks for pulling miata shadows. Please continue the great work. Sincerely angela not the famous one. Oh and she says yes she is the shy one the shook my hand at origins a couple of years ago so i have met this angela very nice person breakwater angela great to hear from you like very much yeah thanks angela and you're famous amos with us yeah and i think your advice is sound and we'd ask before for any militia we had or anybody who had good opinions or ideas on this to write in leszno so good stuff. Thank you very very much. I appreciate you taking the time yes. That's very important. Thanks for lending perspective of which is much needed absolutely boy of house orion response to the mongrel. I think they i think they live right next to each other well they must i mean australia's oh. He's a pretty small place right. Of course i mean i live right next door brat so much i mean they just they just pick a shrimp off the barbie check at each other when they want their attention. Yeah i'm trying to avoid the poisonous snakes and kill you. They probably get the same crock same boots from same crocodile. I would assume so good day. Regarding pure mongrels energy and expectations query you can do a session zero to set expectations and just say hey. We all make this game work. Paying attention and putting energy in makes makes it work. It's our story sourcing. The table for ideas helps too because they do the driving so once per dungeon you say hey there's something in crates. Your parents would value. What is it or your party makes camp in. There's a small a small. There's a smell that reminds you of your childhood. What is is it. Let them talk for a while. While you take a breather they are fighting a monster type and they've fought dozens of times say hey. This one sounds different. What does it sound like. Get them to do. Some sound effects accents. You are not the only entertainer they can describe what their the characters are doing. If one of them has a good voice than they can read out some box text lastly. Don't be afraid to take a break. You're not a machine. Take three to five five minutes and have a few deep breaths. Get some water much down a chico role. What the hell's chico probably has vegemite australian thing thank pure was doing good work. A legend links to my brief youtube videos below so we'll have those in the dire all oh that he blake has talked about these specific points about sourcing the table to the ten minute video sessions zero which is an eight minute video. Keep today's roland. Oh and fellas blake so i do want to call out a piece that when blake mentions with mongrels doing folks remember he's doing this is kind of using he's using role playing is a way to help teach social skills and stuff to kids in people and so on in i think some of the things that mongrels dealing and within that space i am not there. I do not know absolutely guessing but probably not with a lot of people would call us. Phrase normal or people with different perspective's very seriously different perspectives from all sorts of walks of life so i like i think sometimes <music> much like the the earlier one. We're you know we're an says hey you know he's like. You know we're all gamers. Treat us like trees with respect as people and so forth and i think the type of thing that the mongrels doing awesome in a really think stuff that blake here's thrown out is some stuff that you would do sean. I need a breather so so give me the name of a bartender. Tell me thing you know. Give me a second to do this in sourcing the table like that. I think that's that's pretty cool because i'm lazy. Yeah yeah i know but i think it's i think it's interesting how some of the interesting to me the wrong word but the these types chiefs of things <hes> i think can work regardless of the audience almost at least that they had the they have in my experience mongrel <hes> obviously doing something a little bit more intense tints perhaps but <hes> like it's still still good idea to look back at some of those things that you do to quote unquote regular game and is that something that would help mongrel obviously obviously when you when you hear that you may say i brought sean you. Damascus has totally off base. That doesn't work at all. I've tried that a thousand times our apologies but <hes> curious which i think ben bam what else we got here. Oh yeah ron bishop. He emails preemptively on this episode of art and r._p._g.'s. You enjoys the rand mccown episode show <hes> you guys are the best audience in the world it all no god damn it. We do pretty frigging awesome. I would say it's it's quite good. I mean.

"I in baseball you, did you know that L. I did. Okay. His point four sixty one on base percentage. Trails only Mike Tronto. See my trout less today's ago yesterday. Trump a ball in the outfield made first Aaron something like six hundred a little weird for guiding all that money. But who consistently gets pitched around his twenty home runs trail, just Christian yelich, perhaps, the only man who can give him competition for VP. You take all that. And what does numbers mean is that he's killing everybody? He's absolutely tearing it up his batting averages come down, because it was going to you're not gonna hit four hundred anymore. It started to come down a little bit, but the power is staying there. He met another outfield assists last big deal about it. Okay. So okay, so he's at four hundred three eighty five who cares three eighty five four hundred four or five hundred. Four hundred is a threat. Seventy year four thousand nine fifty. It's the same thing. Key? No one had caught a thousand yards passes in seventy five years, and you were within a couple of yards of it. It wouldn't be the same ninety eight and one a one and that situation are not the same because that's the threshold that we haven't seen in nearly an entire century. That's what makes it a little bit tag is he, he is your, your leader for every he had another outfield assists last night. He's absolutely unbelievable. And he still might be the guy doing the second most impressive things on the team review hasn't even three hits again last night, seventy three hits. No walks. No runs. Phil guy is just he's in a space of his own right now. He's just he's just out there is like I'm gonna take control. It is in no matter what I'm gonna have a record-breaking historical career are year right now. I'm a win aside young. I'm on a World Series. "We have our first leak if you will from the legal tampering, and that's Trent Brown the left. Hacksaw that who played all sixteen games for the patriots last year. Yeah, he's going to the raiders. So the raiders are making it obvious. They are trying to win right now. Yeah. Trade for Antonio Brown. You give a huge contract to Brown Trent Brown that is Antonio Brown. They're clearly going forward. So now, it would almost be stunning. If they took Dwayne Haskins at that part of the draft right before the giants. Yeah. I don't think that's at four the raiders at four. I don't think that's happened. Yeah. No doubt. Mike is in Hoboken. Hey, Mike, Mike. Hey, guys loved the show Mets fan, but curious about this Wheeler talk, you know, seem what guy Corbin or making certainly attractive. Now, he got a front row seat to see how things happened with Harvey Harvey. It was like inevitable if years ago that he was going to get some huge deal. That ended up that weighs on a guy like dealer just kind of seeing that other side of it. And what are you gonna do? I think it's different because of how close he is to the promised land. He's a year away from free agency. I think there's a big difference between being a year away from free agency and two three years away from free agency where there is more worry. Plus we were so dominant show in the second half of last year. And his money's thinking. Oh my God. If I do this. I am going to go up with Harvey was going the other way. Yeah. That's the other thing. Plus if Harvey was going to agree to any kind of extension. Let's say after the two thousand fifteen season think about how far away he was from free agency. He'd have been three full seasons away from it here. So you're never gonna get your maximum payday when you're that far away. Yeah. Well, it's part of the risks at the time. Because of Syndergaard and degrom and Matt's not that. I thought Matt Harvey was gonna fall off the face. I didn't I wanted to trade him does a big fan of trading him. And I was thrown out all the crazy deals out there at that time. Mookie Betts, Mookie Betts, Jose altuve. Hilarious and depressing. That's very Larry's is at the time. It seemed didn't seem like we don't want. Nobody wants to know at the time. We were the one. I know I'll never forget. Mike for saying it when I suggested altuve to for Harvey and both of you guys said, Nah, I wanna do it. It's it's fair to say, you guys are crazy. Because at the time, I think it was a different player. I can't speak for Mike, but I'm certainly credit. Well, yes. But like saying it now sounds absurd right? Thank you. A joke was not absurd after two thousand fifteen know Matt Harvey looked like he was gonna fake career. Not at all. But the reason I was last good year. Riyad was twenty fifteen but he's still got one year eleven million dollars from the angels. Yeah. What kind of year he's gonna c see in north jersey mo-? How're you get? Our you guys smoke. What's? Hi. So I got the Yankees winning a hunger games this year. I got Boston right behind them with probably like ninety seven. I got Cleveland winningest division by twenty games. I got Houston renting the division. Okay. Louis that surprised sixty is gonna be this year. That second wildcard American reason that the money question every single year from Minnesota Glenn. It is. I don't think there a surprise anymore. Tampa Bay ninety last year. Yeah. I like Minnesota. I like Minnesota to bounce back. And I don't necessarily think the Indians are just gonna cruise to the American League central. That'd be and I don't think the Red Sox and winning ninety six games. I got major questions about the Red Sox. I think they were the only one Ninety-six. I mean, that's twelve games less than last year. That's right now, I said this last year about the dodgers, and I was wrong. And I was right. It was a combo. He said they weren't going to be any good. And then you turned out to be wrong later right out there. I made two points about the dodgers. I said I don't think they're gonna win the division. I don't think they're gonna be very good wrong about that. But I said hit that under right about that. I kind of feel similarly to the Red Sox this year where I don't think it'd be bad playoff team in the playoffs because of the nature of the American League. Yeah. I think they're going to win the first or second wildcard, they could do it. At eighty nine wins is eighty nine wins a bad year. No. That's that's twenty wins less. Yes. So right. So he's had a bad year. All depends. How far they go. I don't know. Nine games and went to the world's won the World Series. Again. What does it matter? They're in the wild card game. And they're going to Minnesota. That's that's where they end up. Is that a good? Yeah. I guess you're right. Win the game. If that's what happens and they lose to the twins. Now wasn't a good year. I'm not ready to make that prediction. Yeah. Only ready to say, I think the Red Sox are only gonna win eight nine games despite the Yankee issues, I think they should win this division. They should I'm with you, Dan, Manhattan, Dan. Hey, Columbine, levian bell. I don't understand why people are subsets with Levy. I'm belt if the patriots have taught us nothing that you need to know line. And you know, you can put in any running back. Of the patients can put in any offensive linemen, and it wouldn't matter because it's ballot check and it's a different world than everybody else. Let's keep that in mind. Okay. But what about saquon Barkley? He was a an exceptional talent. And they won like five games. I more than. More than you need more. Yeah. No one's saying. The giant defense was horrendous. Offensive line got better as the year went on. I mean, you know, I don't compare to patriots to anything normal. No. I mean, there's not the normal. It's a fair point. But it's it's similar to saying. Why would I want to go get my trout? Well, how many games of the angels one? You still want him on your team? Now bills not my travel on those a very good football player. And if he put up the numbers he put up in two thousand seventeen when he went for thirteen hundred yards and he got in the end zone nine times rushing and a couple of times receiving an eighty five ninety catches. Yes. You need other things. Yes. The offensive line needs to be improved which I think they just did by the trade. They made for assembly. Do they need to improve their defense and get a passer? Absolutely. But don't discount on bell. Just because well you need more than a running back. Of course. Back in the the patriots is throw that out the window. I don't get it doesn't matter. What a guy is. And what the position is when it's not quarterback. Everybody excels for the patriots. Everybody and Trent Brown is a great example, the raiders just sixty six million now, he's back the reality. Let's see what he does. It's a great question. It's a great question because Trent Brown was a seventh round pick by the San Francisco forty Niners. He had played one full season. Right. And then he ends up with the patriots last year has a very good year. And look at the day. He just got. That's why I'm scared of Trey flowers. I gotta tell you because I don't know Trey flowers as great with the bad. So I don't know how good he's going to be anywhere else. Yeah. He scares me. One thing I noticed about Trent Brown. I was looking over a little bit. Is that not physically just meeting about we understand he committed eleven penalties with the Niners in two thousand sixteen already committed five done would be amazing. Well, not quite is the patriots cut in half though Bailey because they're really really really well coached. Yes. Page slightly. Yeah. Brian in Rockville centre, Ryan, how are you? And gentleman. Hawaii Brian has everything wonderful. I wanna get my take on the, you know, the wilpon fell into fate. Joe Wade hunter could play offensive line and stop. Glad to glad Dukakis. Colby. Let me just say quick if there's one thing all of the teams I cheer for having common. Whatever they play the game a game on a night where they have a commemoration whether it be a player or chip ship. Whatever horribly. The point Saturday night felt Dory. I yeah. Bill. So. His tie completely fell off. It was just a Scott. Just the prepare you where the jets have their commemoration, but a sixty nine Super Bowl that one last year actually won the game was a game against the colts. You. Actually one. Basically, just then then the jets won only one more game. One more game. All right now with the with wilpon it though now with well part. I it's about you know, what? Got a statue. But of course, you got to forget about the part that I took the poor guy. To get the statue up. I've heard horror stories of people out of matter. But you know, what medical deserves it? Now, he's wanted the Bronx, but as far stolen ghost. I'm not defending Babe Ruth. Whatever you walkway outside does. Right. That's true. But as far stolen ghost. Let's get out of any fast. I wanna get your take on. This is one thing about stolen. He has brought in guys that on paper had good resumes. He brought it he brought it Carmelo he brought in Lenny Wilkins, a two-time hall of Famer Larry brownie fail. Even let's bring Phil bringing up Phil guy. I. But again on paper could resume he has choice fail. But he what's your take on that? Well, again, look part of the problem with all in is. This is the structure of the NBA is the salary cap situation of the NBA that's part of the issue there. You can't just spend spend you say spending can cause major damage. Yes. Which a lot of those moves did I think the problem is been and maybe not recently. This is a part of why we've actually complemented James don't over the last couple of years is it felt like he wasn't budding out completely would hire these guys and still be involved. Even though it's denied to this day. We've all heard the talk around the Carmelo Anthony trade that there was lead involvement to push that deal. Right. Whether it's true or not, I don't know because I don't find the garden that believable. So when they say something, I'm not going to be there. Right. I don't find. We were planning the senior statue for awhile believable. No, well, it's kind of a credibility issue..

"Powered by town fair tire. Nobody beats down fair tire. Nobody. After the Gulf last night which ended I guess was a little about eight something when it ended a twenty something like that eight forty somewhere when they finally wouldn't go to seventeen. I did watch. About an hour and a half the Grammys at my kids. Yes, I saw rods jacket. I have not commented though. I did see it. I saw him in the first row. I have not made any official comments yet on his jacket. I will save those for some time in the program. I have not made any comments. On his resplendent. Look. Hunt. Was allowed to be signed by the Browns. It was not an eligible. He's not was not a free agent per se 'cause you can't sign a free agent yet. But he is he still can be taken from the Browns. He still can be suspended. So they run the risk of him being suspended even though they were allowed to sign him. That's the best way. I can put it. That's why he was an extra free. It wasn't like he's a free agent and businesses open. It's not open yet. He was eligible. He was eligible the end the last she could be signed. But he do run the risk that he still can be suspended the books not closed on him yet. John in Manhattan. What's up, John? Hey, I'm Phil guy through he's my guy. But he was a man of his own. He really made a Michael. But today, he said, he apologize to Paul Casey. He said it was much smarter. You get this is on little world. And sometimes it can lead them astray. And he thanks for this morning for being able to come out here. I'm played on those greens that were rolled and and he he just overall thanked him about that. So. Wanted that. He would have won last night. If he'd listen, here's what I'm calling. I wanted to play last night in the worst way he would have gotten through the two holes last night. Yes. Yes. They rolled the greens today. All true. It didn't affect anybody. Standing Paul Casey wound up tied for second. Everything. Stay. Here's what I here's what I want to talk about going back to what June. Okay. The way he won. Okay. With the half. Swing knockdowns in the eight hundred nine hours with the most impressive. Well, hit the ball. He still hit the ball all over the place off the tee. And and that you do that at the US open. You're dead. It's over it's over you can't scramble he scrambled yesterday. He hit it off the building. He hid it down in the gully. He scrambled. You can't scramble like that. When the US open. You can't do it. You cannot do it. You can't play like he plays. He has to play like he played Friday how he played Saturday and Sunday you can't play in when the US open. Can't do it. The causes and set setup for you to win. The US open the setup for you to hit fairways greens. He doesn't hit fairways and greens. What filled? The US openness is set a few to make basically sixteen pause and an occasional birdie film makes you know, five bogeys and seven birdies. Or six birdies an eagle and five bogeys. That's what he does. And around. That's very difficult to do. And it's just the course I mean, I think that he won actually hurts them. I really do. I just think the odds on winning twice on the same cost in the same year. It just. Infant festival. Very tough though. Very very very hard to do. Now. Jim says Jimmy said that he thought he was gonna come back and win at pebble. And he knows how much Phil wants it fills going to work for a month to do it fills going to spend the whole month after the masters right after the PGA Phil will spend the whole next month. Just getting ready to shape his shots to play the US open. All he wants in life. Now, I must anyone wanna when Augusta. He would. But all he wants in life is to get a US over. That's always been his incredible quest for a couple of years now as he wants it so badly, he can taste it. He wants to win all four majors. Tom in Milford. What's up? I'm still here. Go ahead. Thanks for taking my call me. Okay. I can hear you fine. Go ahead. Okay. I just wanted to follow up. I I, you know, I'm a big Phil guy too. But I was just laughing watching him last night. I've never seen that. I have. I have. Ripping. Do you remember a couple of years ago when Rory hit the ball up on them? Oh, yeah. That's right. They went nuts. He went nuts. When ROY hit hit up on them. When ROY wanted to finish that day and hit up on him. He went crazy. I've seen film and a couple of times Phil was ripping last night. He was ripping myth now he calmed down by the time. He got on the TV and did the interview and Paul Casey does have the reputation for being like the nicest man in the world. Okay. But Phil was ripping mad last night. He wanted to play seventeen so badly, and he did apologize. He did say that Paul was right? He said, I would have done the same thing. If I was Paul. He did say all that. But last night he was written with Jack in Amityville. What's up, Jack? Yes. Hi, mike. Thanks for taking my call. A couple of comments on on the tournament. One Casey finished solo second which meant oh, I thought they offered. No, I had then I had the them. What I had is the wrong finish because I have a finish that had them tied for second. Well that was yesterday. Okay. Then. They didn't update my still so stollings fell back a stroke. Okay. So he finished alone. Second. Okay. Good. Well, what happened was Casey birdied eighteen? Okay. That's fun. I had I had them both at sixteen. Now. I have to look again they had them both at sixteen. Now, you telling me that stallings finish fifty and. Okay. That's fine. That's correct. Okay. The other thing. Well, there's a lotta stuff. But as far as the continuance of Plato's that's not up to the players that's up to the PGA. Yeah. But fill the the guy in front has a lot to say about it. And they would elect Phil go of Paul would have said he wanted to go. He needed both of them to say. Yes. And case he wouldn't say, yes. The the Marshall even said he was going to let them go. He said, but he needed both of them to say. Yes. In case, he wouldn't say, yes. If any player said and Faldo said it last night if any player objects it's over. That's it. If anybody BreX, it's all, right? That's it leave even up to the players if the players say they both want to go forward. It's fine. But a Casey said, I don't wanna play anymore. So that was it. We said once he said that it's over. That's it. He said it's an Casey said he wanted the amateur to actually have a good chance today to he was concerned with his amateur partner, which to me, I think that's secondary. But again, it was worried about his amateur partner. And and you know, what the average upon? They're actually not that he's slow things up and having to wait for him to play. Also at the same time made it a little slower than it had to be. But listen Phil admitted he was angry. He admitted he was wrong. He said, I would have done the same thing. If I was Paul I understand what Paul was coming from. He had cooled off by the time. We did the interview last night. But you could hear him talking to the Marshall while Casey was on the green saying, hey, I can see fine. I want to go ahead and Casey was saying I'm not going unless we can finish. And we can't finish. So bottom line is fouled. Oh said right there. All you need is one player to say. That one player to say that he doesn't wanna play and it's over and every player has the ability to do that. Bob and summit. What's up? Mike one h extremely rare to win twice on the same. Mike. Your ear starting around the issue that you never do. Never know never happens. But the odds on doing it in the same year are gonna be tough. Right. They never played the same course twice a year. But you know, what the odds the odds on going back and win at any cost. It's just gonna be so tough. It really is. It's going to be a US hoping. Anyway, I just think I listen I felt that that it would just be the odds would be easier. If he wasn't if win yesterday, I just think it makes it easier. I just think it's so hard to do that twice in one year. It's so hard. It's so hard to win anywhere to win twice on the same. 'cause I just it says to me seems so unbelievably impossible to do it just it just seems so hard to do I think even consecutive years. It's so hard to do. You know, I understand it doesn't happen often. I just think it's so hard to do though. I would feel better about his chances if he hadn't won that was my point. I would have felt better if he finished second then he'd have a better chance to go back and win then the idea of winning twice on the same cost. I understand it doesn't happen. Very often in the same year. It's happened. At pebble before because they play AT and T every year and they've played a million times at pebble. So it it does happen on years. Where pebbles been in the rotation. It has happened then. But that's the only years it's happened. I don't know how many times it happens at another cost. It can happen. Very rarely. But it does happen. The years where they were pebbles are US open tables, always in the US open rotation. So it does happen. Those years. I just think it's very difficult though. That's all I it just seems to me to take a lot of the now, listen, I don't expect them to win the US open anymore. Anyway. Because ask him to play that kind of golf for four days that kind of exacting US open golf at this stage of his life. I just think he's too radical. If the t- to do that. And even the way he hit the last two days after being incredible on Friday the way he hit the ball yesterday and Saturday and the way he had a scramble, which is typical fell. It's just makes it so much harder on the US open costs. That's all. And I understand it doesn't happen often. But just to me I'd feel better about his chances. If he didn't win. I just think it's so hard. To where?.

"Know. What I mean? Of course, he doesn't have to. I just want to eat the field. I mean, you just want to see on the field where to utilize, and you know, I went back and watch the you know, the the game verse scorer. And it was funny that the naturally huddle up with you know, with thirteen minutes to go by three still. I mean, you know, so it's a little bit of a mockery of you know, kind of how this offense is just how what's article? And you know, it just doesn't utilize the talent. And which is which is a darn shame. So you know, if they can utilize the talent they can start, you know, being progressive and who who really cares who's calling the shots. Utilize what they aren't out, you know, because these receivers I have to admit that probably a couple of over to go to the NFL after next year. Then you're going to have to keep bringing guys, you know, if you wanna keep in top level talent. Then you got to utilize the people that you have you know, so. I just I just hopefully, hopefully, they start, you know, bring it back to a more modern style of offense. No, I agree with you, Terry. When look we've said that their strength is that why receiving core and whoever whoever's pitching for these guys to catch that that's important, and we know shave shades coming back McCaffrey's getting healthy. You gotta young you got a young guy in Joe Milton. So I mean, whatever they decide from from that standpoint too. But that being said, look your strength is right there. Ed Warner set there where he is with the offense of line. I don't know what they're gonna do with tap. I mean, he could stay as the the the quarterback coach for I don't know. Well, if you need the hand moving this stuff, I'm I'll be available. Okay. All righty. Thanks for the phone, call, Jerry. Thanks a lot. Eight. Know why man collaborative it was a collaborative effort? So you should warn all everybody, you won't everybody on that bus, Jamie. Somebody's we need somebody's head. I did it people want blood. The offense wasn't good. We need excuse me. The offense wasn't good enough right to meet expectations of what we want. Or? Hey, what the best teams in the country are doing those two national championship team. I get what you're saying. And I hear you. But they did have a ten game winning streak with with two laws with three with two losses on the end cap. I get it, Jamie. How long have Michigan fan saying we want to see that old running old run game back Michigan run game Backley, and they get it back this year. And now got enough seven three four nine eight ten fifty. Yeah. 'cause it bring it makes Bronco in an era. Get mad at one another about offense. But we'll talk about that later seven three four hundred eight ten fifty. Let's go to Gabe in Columbus. What up gay? What is this? I'm good, sir. How are you? A little nine year old shows up, right? Warrior in Columbus, Ohio. Fortunately, we're big time. Michigan people we Burton's. That's lightning railing at the networks. Calling about issue basketball little bit. And I believe that. Awesome. Not awesome. We have a great team. Obviously. Jay livers is is the key to win the national championship this year because to the game. Bernie, Jim Bob castle, whatever. And he's the lunch. Phil guy. He's doing. Brings it he grinds, unfortunately as the backstop. Hopefully, you know. The way she did in that game. No, you're right. I mean, I look he's a multi position player. I mean, he can shoot the three Hagan drive to the whole. He can rebound. He like, you said he's that lunch pail guy, and he is a key to this to this team getting to the getting to the NCAA's and going deep into it. Chess game. A lot tougher in. He was last year. He's he's he's the physical. Did he did last year? Like, you got earlier with a big change the physicality, I believe that that last year helped him. So solid especially in that Purdue game victory and championship last year. I believe he he took a step forward in that game. Specifically, but this year, you can you can tell us a lot more physically that delivers back. He's initially puzzled as far as the national championship goes, we we got I got this through national for the big ten championship. And last year. He's like daddy. Okay. Well, hey, we way again. Number had already now already. He's talking. Well, hey, daddy. This year. This year. Daddy. Hatton James, I'd say, hey, let's get him another hat did. 'cause if it helps I wanna I wanna get him that hack. Thanks for the phone. Call game pre shaded what's going on. All right, man. I just love that. We're talking about basketball. Yeah. I told you we were gonna talk about basketball. But I'm sorry. I got a little break and more news right now. I mean Sam just tweeted. Sam you fingers thumbs just firing up just letting you know, and you know, I'm gonna I'm gonna read tweet it 'cause you know Sam tweeted about so this breaking news, you know, Michigan is now targeting not play another coach. They're looking at their targeting Boston colleges. Co DC Anthony Campanile for one of the vacant defensive spots. The defensive line or the linebacker. So just letting you know, let's stay up the day. Baby. Did he did he coach with Dan Brown has he been at BC high while I I I'm not sure of that? I haven't had a chance to read would say put out there. I'm just telling you, man. Wow. Kind of radio show you running around here. I I'm giving you live and in person stuff that I see to throw it out there. Okay. Don't get on me. You gotta know. Jay both. That's why we listened to you. Right. I knew this when I talked to Sam. At four thirty. But I didn't want to come in here. And just break it out. I'm gonna let Sam breaking our right? I'm letting things I'm having MS go down. He's going to do a little investigative reporting for us. He's gonna find out what the deal is from that guy that you love or there, Mr Sam Webb. I'm just saying that's my boy. He's he's seven years as a football coach four at Rutgers three at Boston College. He has coached tight ends wide receivers defensive backs at Michigan. He could wind up coaching safeties and Outside Linebackers vipers is versatility with the safeties. Chris partridges would make interchangeable. So I mean, there's a possibility. Yeah. I mean, he's got some he's got some. He's got he's got the ability to coach it up seven three four not at eighteen fifty. Early Eric how you doing arrogant, South Carolina. What are you doing man? Did you leave work early? No, man, I left. I just I you know, I like I like a man check out to sit back and listen. I hear you. You know, I I can't wait to hang out when block and half a spirit and talk football. Hopefully, we'll be celebrating together. Yeah. See you're cool by Matt hang out one man, we going to change the name to pokey for tonight. You like. I Vicky wants to go Ray. Reagan liked to be called Buki. I don't know. Maybe. Well, if Marquez Racal widow. Go ahead to be Mookie. Okay. I guess. Yeah. That works. I got a question for back. If I give you a Quebec, and I'd give you a charge to which one is the fast car. Okay. This is kind of a a thing that that what's call a game me. So does it have an engine in it? Oh, okay. All right. That was one of the fastest car. I'm taking the corvette. Okay. But if grandma drabbed the corvette. Julia drive the charge. What's going to be the fast car? That's that's Dale Earnhardt junior. Go because he knows how to drive. So Alabama got better, plastic Clemson, Clemson got better coaches matter of fact, Michigan got better player. Well, they got better coach they made their players. It's an NFL traffic. They went short that way. They made those guide to to bet a big that check in Alabama. Playing NFL. I watched that dog from get torched by South Carolina. They gave us six on the point. I mean, six hundred yards to South Carolina. They give up the points. But they gave up yours that quarter couldn't cover. So. Oh. The whole Clemson thing was dabble makes dabble does what he needs to do to get his get the job done. I wouldn't to say that he was. The next coming to bear Bryant, and nobody of there saying everytime stays adversity of a head coach. And he asked. Get it done. He bought somebody in there who get it done. Now. I'm a tip my hat to jump off. All okay. I will take the cap it. Typically. So. Higher. I take the fifth out the cap. He knew his job. And I'm glad.

"To quip Dennis teams with tools that are easy use and keep the team focused on data that matters. So you're in or you lose lose Ville, Texas is that where you're at. That's where I live yet. It's a just a little bit north of Dallas my dad's practices in town called the colony the console year outside of Dallas. That means you're one of those obnoxious Dallas Cowboys fan Americans. Are you a Cowboys fan? Yeah. Unfortunately, I'm not a spin say unfortunate because I'm Chicago Bears fan, and we just had a rough evening yesterday in the playoffs. Yeah. Well, I just it's up that I was born outside Chicago. And I've tried to kick the habit, and I just really haven't been able to break it yet. I thought last night. Okay. So if you're not a football fan hang with the because it's still a great lesson. I still think the NFL is probably the most competitive business in the world. I mean, there's only thirty eight franchise they do over ten twelve billion ear in sales. But they got a hundred million Americans looking at them under microscope. So the most analyzed business on the world scene draw a great analogies. But I love this. So last night if you got a football fan banners should've won they were on like the twenty thirty yard line. All they do is chip shot field goal and the and the Phil guy hit the upright. And I love this guy posted this on ESPN this bear with ING with you a football lesson time with you or a football fan or not. There's a good chance. You have heard by now that the bears eagles game. From last night in case, you did not the short version is the bears kicker. Cody parkey had a chance to win the game on the final play. A Phil go kick when I made the kick eagles called a strategic timeout just before the plate is service. The distraction to the kicker who sent some trouble all year with the subtly making his kicks in such a high pressure situation. Lassen you'd want to do is over. Thank it. Well, the eagles do this. And that's why they call the time out on the second. Cody hit the uprights and was unsuccessful on his attempt therefore costing the bears the game. Here's the point all of step out in the name of accomplishing goals and playing at the highest level subject ourselves to moments like this. And allow me to remind all of you when you do. So it is inevitable that you'll have days where you the upright and Tate waas. What I am impressed. By is this kid's perspective after this huge moment. He said this is what he said to the reporters didn't even hide her duck out. He said this is going to sting for a couple of days. I was prepared. And did everything I could. The sun will come out tomorrow. These were the comments coming out of his mouth post game as he didn't hide from the media. But instead face them head on today. There are going to be a million means jokes flying around the internet. How I've posted three today on dental town feel guilty already. They will all becoming from people who will never Smith having an NFL career. I want to remind you that when you decide to step up and go for anything, you do you will open yourself up to the world lake Cody did last night there will be days where you make your kick. And when the game, and there will also be days where you miss your check. And you will feel like the world is ending in these moments. Remember, the strength looks like remember that many times you stand alone in your defeats and these moments remember to think like, Cody for us tough a moment this history him behind it as a purpose which requires faith to understand and patients to experience. I applaud Cody miss the waves of criticism people face. But anyway, it was just amazing. How this kid because I have the same problem. Mark Zuckerberg Facebook because his dad is dentist, and he's been on this show like three times, and and add Zakar may we both? We both are ball Denisot have four kids. And when I see his kid getting just either live in the media grow before congress. I feel sorry for ad because of that was my kid. I probably in the corner sec and crying and sucking my thumb and everything. And so when you're in the limelight. Holy moly..

"All day. That's that's it. But what we maybe do need is to get left populace more into things like self. Defense and preparez them 'cause we might need those things down the line by think I would focus on doing the split between there are two different kinds of outdoorsman and how they see themselves. There's the one that came like basically post nineties, whereas the weekend warrior types, who by a are fifteen and Cam and pretend like they're soldiers. But there are a lot of guys just have been doing pheasant hunting since they were kids. And I think those people like they like, I think there is. No, I don't Democratic Party. You don't do think in all these areas? I do think that it's not used margin. But I do think there are some people who they're not swing voters. The dumb way. It's usually presented like they're waiting for Bloomberg. But they are actually swing voters in the sense that they are kind of not sort of all over the place. All right. I'm gonna we got to be quick on the rest of these calls here calling from six one two area code who's this. Where are you calling from? Hi, brenda. How are you? I'm doing great. And I just wanted to call and thank you for a year of fantastic podcasting and commentary wanted to Michael for I I really like, Michael he's he's fantastic. And I wanted to shout out to Jamie. 'cause I know what it's like sometimes to have to try to fight for you know, a little bit of space in a row. Phil guys. Thanks. Sorry. Not not exceptional confrontation. I I know know. they don't exist. Well, Brenda happy new year. Thanks, thanks for listening. Let's hope that, you know, I'm on site based assistance, you know, from from HUD, site based assistance was hope that that doesn't go. Hanging there. Hopefully, this'll was in the next three or four weeks. Hopefully, this is it doesn't go any pass the next couple days. But. Yeah. Ask one question. I'm sorry. I'm white as white as white. And could you tell me what the significance of the show far is for you? Oh, well, the show far is blown at the high holidays at at Russia Shawna and during Kapoor in it's basically just to announce the new year essentially and the ten day period in between there, which is sort of weird. But it goes the new year begins then you have basically a ten day period to Aton assess what you did last year and then not do next year. Appreciate right for for not for not going about that. All right. People don't g kept it. Politics. She calls it at least the show far as opposed to the Jew. What we traditionally call it in the community gone from three oh, two area code who's this.
