"Here with me, me showed a man from the red Hot real estate group also fill Olsen from cross country mortgage. I think we just play that old school song for Phil. Yeah. Call me call. Definitely. I think we actually need to get people to call both of you throughout the week. Yes. Please call us Be sure in Texas for our special at 6515782218 text, the words new construction and we have a promotion that certain restrictions do apply. You must use Phil and I n the transaction. But we have up to $5000 in closing costs for new construction. So Phil, tell everybody how they get ahold of you during the week. The easiest way to get a hold of me and 651238674 e or my email address is Phil at Call Phil Coulson dot com. Yes, and you can also email us Mimi at mn red hot real estate dot com. Okay, Phil, let's hear the story of the week. This What's what's something fun and exciting that's happened. Oh, my gosh, I have a great story. I'm going to call it the purchase of the month. A rental versus what's called a non occupant. OK, we talked about We talked about find properties of the rental. But here I have A A, A woman and her spouse want to buy a host. Your mom and dad that our elderly And they're 85 years old. Now most lenders would tell you you're buying that house as an investment property and you're gonna put 20 or 25% down. Well, there is this little one line rule guidelines in the Freddie Mac book that says a parent or a son or daughter, Khun by a parent, a home with a little 5% down. Be a non occupant owner. As long as you can prove that Mom and Dad would not qualify the mortgage and guess what I am closing alone this week 2.6 to 5%. If it would have been an investment property. It would have been closer to 4% my clock on Lee put 5% down, and yet Mom and dad who are on their eighties are moving into the home. Son and daughter are not moving in with them. And here's a much better way to help that family member out and get them a great mortgage and I saved them a boatload of money. That is a fantastic story. You wanted to give back to your affairs that way. There's no way I'm just sitting here thinking is that is that a nationwide program that you could do that or a local That is a nationwide program. But so money loan officers and so money mortgage lenders don't even know that the guideline exist. Okay, So this is another thing that I just want to say. Phil sits and looks at these encyclopedias of mortgage rules on for have fun on the weekends. That's what he does. He goes to the beach. Hey, I'm glad that you have all this floating around in your brain cause you're helping a lot of people, Phil. Actually, I build crosswords in my backyard. I strictly guidelines say that that's why I have a good time in my life. I'm still trying to envision you with like Barclay here and maybe Yeah, Okay, So can that be done on Ah, acreage property because I'm thinking about my dad out of state. Yeah. Why couldn't what would disqualify that particular program? What would disqualify that program. Um the key is is you've got to be able to prove that Mom and dad do not have the ability to qualify for the mortgage on that property. You could also do the same type of program for a disabled adult. Okay? Okay, So how do you prove that Mom and Dad can't Given example, provided I've provided two years of tax returns. Okay, and I provided the income based on their Social security. That's all they received. Okay, so that's not terribly difficult to prove. It sounds like It's not very difficult at all. You don't even have to pull credit on Mom and dad. Oh, okay. Well, that's even a bigger bonus there. Yeah, because you know You don't want tea, too many hope hoops when I'm talking to my my mom's not even in her eighties, and it's just like I would want want want wouldn't want things to be that complicated. If I didn't have to make a complicated 100% right beside this one. I put an X by it. Yeah, and just take care. Let's do it. Okay, film. I have talked to you about that program for my own self. But anyway, let's continue talking about when you win not to use a jumbo loan. Give some examples of that. All right. Whenever you can. You can Bridget, for instance, using a bridge loan, taking money from one property, moving it to the other. When you have the ability of doing what's called a tandem loan, like we talked about a first in the second, uh any time the consumer has the ability to bring that loan, first Mortgage down below 5 10 for hundreds And you're not breaking the bank. I like getting creative with my clients. All right, my job is to get my clients the best rate, the lowest closing costs Best deal possible. That's where I'm going to present them as many options and that's why I'm gonna ask him lots of questions. Okay, Phil, So let's use some terms there, and I think a lot of times people get very confused with what a bridge loan actually is. So let's break it down to a CZ micro level as possible. Okay? Let's say I have a second home. Or I have an investment property that has a big equity position in that property. I could take a home equity loan or I could take a small second mortgage against that home and I could use that as my down payment. All right, if if, Let's say I have a $630,000 purchase. I need to get down below 5 10. That's 120,000. I take another loan against another property. Or that 1 20. That way. I'm not going above that. 5 10 400 limit. Okay, So let's talk about that. Reggie, you're bridging one property. Run property to another. Can you bridge from your primary residence if you don't own any other properties. Absolutely all day long. Okay, So when you bridge what are the fees? What are the fees look like for doing that? Is it just the standard? I'm taking a home equity loan out on my primary residence. Okay, It depends. Okay. It depends on the type of loan that I'm doing. If it's a bridge loan, you're probably looking at 1000 1500. If I'm doing a home equity loan, I'm looking at 300 to 500. But if I'm going to pay off the home equity loan quickly Lenders don't want to do a home equity loan. If you're going to pay it off quickly. That's why we use what's called a bridge. Look okay. And the bridge loan specifically, you're telling the letter lender. We're going to take this money a temporary We're going to pay it off quickly. So unfortunately, there's more closing costs on a bridge loan. Then there is the whole Mac buddy love. Okay, but lenders like it better. So let's just say that for the folks that are listening out there that have a home It has equity and you're not yet ready to shop. Now would be the right time to get your home equity lined up with your lender right or to call you and talk about.

And so I just feel like all your glory here. I'm in the room with, like one of the funniest people on the planet that thank you very much. Well, I hear you're here. You're politely teasing me about the fact that I was named City pages. Best standup comedian for 2020. So thank you very much. I appreciate my next life. That is my goal being bested and about media know, just to be funny, Funny, funny. We're just different. As I'm funny. See Hello, Mr Phil Coulson from cross country mortgage. Yes, I agree with Phil and I also think she's funny. I also think she's failed. Phil told me I had a DHD yesterday. But there's nothing wrong with that, either. I have lots of very successful friends that also had like, Well, that's a first, but perhaps Yes, Bill. You're you're You're going to be in Las Vegas here pretty soon. Come on, we're going. We're going to see you. Not a fan. But maybe the Bellagio or one of those night night hotels. Welfare. You're Oh, I would love that, Mr Olsen. Thank you very much for your from your lips to Ah, the Bellagio's agents ears. That would be fantastic. Hey, Phil, can we get some of the minutia out of the way today? Please? Can you please do your nml ness number for us? No problem. Animal After 238103 Company Animal left 3029 cross country mortgage, Alright, this's going to be an empowering show for all of us My good to talk about. Yeah. So, Phil and I, You know, we brainstorm every once in a while we try to like, you know, act like we're smart, right, Phil? Exactly so fills up old veteran but with a young body. Yes, you know, saying so. He's been doing this for like He's like a dinosaur and a mortgage loan officer years, But he's a cute, you know, Squishy marshmallow center dinosaur access? Yeah, like a plushy. He's a plushy dinosaur that we know he's got all this stuff you know, in his head with all this intelligence He thinks he's a puzzle maker. But he's really a puzzle solver wrecked, right. I know, I know from experience that if you have something that sounds like a complex scenario, Phil Coulson is your guy. He will definitely detain Gle all of the tangles that you need to make sure that you get this done. So here's a thing that I like about Phil. Phil. I know your head's going to get bigger. I'm sorry. I'm going to say it anyway. Phil will listen to your unique story. And then when he does from that he takes it in hit to his computer sized brain, right? And then he runs it through all the programs to see what, what you what your situation is actually going to look like and then he solves that right? And that's why he calls himself the puzzle solver. Right, Phil? You got it. You got it, You know, kind of kind of let the list kind of understand how my brain operates when you when you closed over 3000 transactions in your career. I'm able to take that consumer situation and I'm able to apply to other situations that I've used in the path and then sometimes I have to tweak it a little bit based on a new regulations, new laws and new programs. Right. And then you know, we're always trying to come up with the next angle right to help our clients win, right, Bill. I think we've had a situation over the weekend, which we really can't talk about just yet. Where I might have invented something, right? I think you have well Yes, Yes. So we've got a secret underneath a skirt that we're going to keep to use for our clients for the short period of time that that works all right, well, anyway, so Phil and I were talking about all of our folks out there that You know how you you go to the store machine and you're looking for a particular size shoe. You're looking for a particular style. You know the hell link that you want. You know the color. You know the leather. Look, you know all the bling. Maybe you want a little fringe on the back like it has got to be here. And you like I seen it online. It's not here, right? Well, there's a similar situation that happens out when you're shopping for a house. Got just so you know the laundry list of things that you want. You know, when you're working with someone And you show them a million properties. That should match exactly what they say They want. It hits it on paper, but something is just not clicking. Okay. And so what? That could be, because that could be somebody who's a perfect fit for new construction. Ah, yeah, okay. And so what? Phil and I have decided to do is for our folks out there who are unrepresented that are not working with a mortgage loan officer. Not working with the realtor already. If you think that new construction is something for you Then we have a special promotion just for you, OK? And so what? We're going to dio and we've just created. This is that Phil and I are going to offer up to $5000. When you use both of us to buy a new construction, and now certain conditions do apply. And you can't be represented by anybody else. You must work with the both of us to get this credit and certain conditions do apply, But all you have to do to enquire about it is to text the word new construction. 26515782218 and we'll reach out to you and talk to you and see if if perhaps this will work for you, But right now, it's really frustrating because there's just no inventory, and builders can't build fast enough so builders don't have a lot of good promotion's going on. Right. So Phil and I felt like Right now would be a great time to offer new construction promotions. And we're going to talk to you about jumbo loans today, Okay? And Phil and I were talking about how great it is with jumbo loans that you.

"And also Mimi showed a man asking answering your questions as well at 6516411071. Before we get back into all those great stories and giving people whose resource is Mimi. Let's remind them of those A couple of deals that you guys have going on right now. Yeah, We definitely want to make sure if you're in the market, Tio think about possibly selling your home. Now is a perfect time to have your outdoor pictures taken while your your yard should be at maximum beautification right now. Because of the greenness, Yes. And so if that's you, and you think you know, I might Be wanting to sell the house while it's cold or while it's snowy. Wait. Now I want to talk with you. You can just text green photos to 6515782218. And Phil, What are you offering right now? Well, of course, right now I'm offering for every caller $25 to the American Cancer Society for the rest of the year and believe it or not this week, and this week alone, you call me For either refinance or a purchase. I'm gonna pay for your appraisal. And how much do appraisals run typically come on any worse between 500 to $1000 bigger the property, the bigger the phrase, right? Yeah, that's a nice special right there. So how do folks get ahold of you during the week, Phil? That way. They always get ahold of me A 651238674. It is my phone number, or use my email address Bill. Call Phil Coulson dot com and be sure to mention to fill the red hot real estate show. You know, these are some really great promotions. But you know, people have different timing. Of when they're thinking that they need to do things right. And there's nothing wrong with you've heard the show. Maybe this is the first time you've ever listened. You just accidentally caught it when your were scanning the dial. And if you are just curious about real estate in general, call us talk to us. We like to talk to people. That's what we do. You could just reach out to us during the week 6515782218 for us. And we can point you to the right person. So, Phil, let's just recap What we were talking about The last break. I think you said something really significant right towards the end 17% Additional purchasing power, the difference between a 5% interest and a 3% interest right? Correct. I did for us. And so, basically, you're getting 17% more home. For the same price had your interest rate and 5%. I still see a lot of people out there that have 5% interest rates. Let's talk to the folks out there that have a house, but they're afraid to make a move because they're just not seeing what they want exactly. Well, I mean, I think we've We've talked about it multiple times, and we've executed multiple times I used try to use a by first self second strategy of the client can qualify for both. That gives you the best of both worlds. The consumer then doesn't have to sell their house immediately. We go find them their house. Then we have them move into their house like Mimi has them do And then maybe get the house all presented. Like a Christmas present, ready for the market to sell the great point. A lot of lenders don't even know how to execute it. And the people that we've worked with Phil on these type of programs to buy first sell second. They have been some of the happiest clients ever because first of all, they have alleviated the fact that they know they're not going to be homeless and finding exactly what they want. They get to get out of their house instead of having to stay in it with all of their things, keep it pretty keep it picked up. Keep it clean. That's a difficult thing to do. Especially when you have kids and pets and all these other things that are just living. I'm telling you. Yeah, I was never so stressed, as when I was selling my own house. Because you just know you know, you try to vacuum and then the next thing you know you're picking up cat puke and you know, it's like, well how that happened, because I have a cat, and that's what they do, like all the things that people just do wired. My kid put his toys on the floor because he's a kid and he has toys. Yes, is what happened. That's what they do. So this is a really slick white for people, and then it For those people who are are really just starting the process. Your house is too big for you. You know it. You're tired of cleaning it. You spend your winters in Arizona. Everything's grand, and you gotta winterize your house when you're up here When you're leaving for the winner. It's a pain in the neck. Go ahead and let's talk to you about these green photos and see what we might be able to do for you. Maybe it's right. Maybe it's not. But Ah, conversation is free, right, Phil? Exactly And I take the conversation where people are calling me with a concept or idea and I give them the time of day and we'll chat about it. They remember it. That's not only a year or two years down the road, Noble filled. You remember me talking to you about this, Michael? Absolutely. I do. Okay, Phil, So we've got another really good story to talk about the unique property story for this week. Absolutely alright. So client purchased.

"You know, Phil, I think it's fun when somebody's like comes up to me and goes. Let's buy this house in a week. I'm like, Yeah, let's do this thing when they tell you and they tell you while I haven't talked with the mortgage banker yet, and I don't have my financial together than making a night call you because you brag about being able to close in three weeks, Mr. Puzzle solver over there. Yeah, Put your money where your mouth but I do think it's a value to have both of those stories and know that When you have, you know, professionals that are on your side. You can get it done, but it's also one of those. If you're in a position, like a lot of people were and maybe your you have what you consider like a wonky pay schedule, or you are an independent contractor and or you just didn't have a lot of these skills. That were passed down you from your from your parents or anybody there knowing that you could go. I'm going to talk to me. I'm gonna talk to Phil. They're going to tell me how to get this plan and figure out what I need to know. So let's talk about it, though. You know, Parents are really notorious for wanting Tio. Make their Children's lives better, right? So let's think about that. Why don't parents talk more about money? Because a Maybe they're not good at money. Maybe they're not confident about money. And so therefore they're afraid that they're not going to tell you, right. They're afraid that may be what they tell you is going to be wrong. Yes, and lead you down, maybe a similar path to what they had, and maybe they want I don't want that to happen. But they don't know how to go about telling you what you should know that you and I are on the same page machine and no, Phil, you agree with this is that you know. Education Wherever you Khun get it about finances is a good thing, Agreed. Right, Phil? I have absolutely, the more you know, the more you're educated. Guess what? You know, the more you know, the more money you're going to say you're not and in today's climate and today's economy. I would tell you that. You know, everybody is looking for ways to shave dollars here and there, right. You know, I have a better life. So here's the thing that I love to say, and we're getting ready to come up on our first break. I hear from a lot of people. Well, I just want you to give me some but a referral for somebody who's going to give me the lowest rate. Okay, you know. So what does that look like? Right? Should I like scrub their brain for the 30 years of experience that they've got in life and in mortgage just so that you can shave a couple of cents off of your thing? What if your low mortgage online person robot What if they don't really look at your stuff? And then you get right down to the wire and, oh, they miss something, And then you miss your closing, and even worse than that. What happens if what they missed or didn't catch didn't save you more money along the way, or you, you You lost the house because the seller said, Yep. I'm not extending. I'll have two. Exactly. You missed it. You blew it next. So this is why we were for people to feel like Phil Coulson went cross country mortgage because I know that if he's one of the mortgage people he's going to get it die exactly And you are going to save money because he's gonna He's gonna analyze your whole situation. One side and up now together and give you options. You know if we run in a way, this is what your payment will be. And here's what you have. If we run it the way it will do this other one, But it might impact you differently, right, Phil? Exactly and I've got a great story of the week that we could talk about called the saving of the week. We should do it. Talk about it, but there was a situation where I analysed the situation and came up with a unique way. To solve a consumer's problem, right? Well, why don't we cover that when we get back? We're gonna start with your story of the week. As soon as we return will also take your questions..

You know, they they want to be able to have their kids walk to school. Maybe there are younger generation. All right. That's still wanting to stay there. So we're seeing. We're seeing those people migrate to the inner city. All right, But then I think we're seeing those that are maybe more established and maybe they're scared of Cove. It. Yeah. The market is moving extremely fast. And I think in today's show what I What I really want to do is get into the weeds with the folks as the dew knots, right do knots and I know we've talked about it before, but I'm going to really drill down in some specific areas. I would really love any type of mortgage a real estate question. Even if it has nothing to do with this subject in mind, folks. I've been in the business 20 years, right? "Mimi, showman from ReMax Results on the red hot real estate group. Also, Mr Phil Coulson, from Supreme Landing is with us. You can call and be part of the show at 6516411071 that 6516411071 of reminding you that for every call we're gonna have. Phil has graciously decided that he's going to donate. $25 American Cancer Society for this entire year. Yeah, and so filled his raised 50 bucks. Hey, can we make it 100? Awesome, But let's make it 100. I'd love it to be 200. There you go. We only have 15 minutes. I don't have that list. Sonny and Miss Machine and have forgotten We're got it. So, Phil, you know, so With a lot of pressure on a lot of different industries. We're seeing a lot of opportunities to take advantage of really low interest, including car dealerships, so I even got in the mail like 0% down for four years on a car and I was like, Wow, that that's a I hadn't seen that in a long time. But you know, what are you telling folks like you know, 0% down Sounds free, but it's not free. It's not free and in the mortgage world, you know, the more money you put down, the better. The deal you get now in the car industry and matter of fact, I just bought a brand new crop I bought. I bought it on a five year 0% interest. Well, I took advantage of the 0% interest when I bought my truck now in the mortgage world. Is there such a thing of 0% interest? No. Is there such a thing as 100% fighting for a few programs? V. A You FDA. Those will be two programs that I could help people buy homes all the way up to 510,000 or or laugh. With it is 100% financing, but it's far 0% interest. I'm sorry. That's not in our field, OK, and so we've got a caller now and So we'll go to producer Sonny, who's on the line for a sunny We have Jennifer on the line right now. Hi, Jennifer. Thanks for calling the red hot real estate show. What's your question for Phil and me? Me, please. Hi. Yes. Okay, so I am newly single and I moved out of my ex boyfriend. My condo. I am on the title. But not the mortgage. He's goingto refinance. I'll get my money that I put into it. I have moved home. I am unemployed. And what I am and I have savings and I've been using any unemployment and stimulus checks to pay down any data have except for my car. I'm in a very good financial standing. But I do. My financial planners told me that I should consider buying before I was considering renting. And, um I'm not in a high wage job. I was a delivery driver but still made decent money for myself. I just want to know what can I be taking now? To prepare for? Hopefully sometime next year to look at condos or co ops? I'm interested. I'm starting a new path of artistry. So I'm wanting to be around creative people, and so I'm just really wanting to take some active steps right now, so I'm better prepared for hopefully a new beginning next year. Unless the great questions of wonderful on your transition. You have such an amazing positive attitude and spirits that thank you very much. Thank you. Yeah. Today I know how you feel. Yeah, today. I applaud you. Yes. Well, I I think in my opinion, could there be a better time to refinance and get you off of the title? I don't know. Phil. What's your opinion about this? Well, I mean, I mean, if she's not if he's on the mortgage, then she's gonna have to be refinanced off by by the boyfriend. She's not on the mortgage. And she was just on title, then that's pretty simple. They basically all just basically quit claim her off title when he re finding Um, as far as Did I hear her say she's going to become employed? No, Phil, You are an artist. Correct? Well, I was a delivery driver. 10 99. OK, but yes, But now I'm but I realize I have to actually have a job while I work on my art, Okay? That's where I think that's where Bill is going to tell you. The hard way is like how long does she have to have whatever job it is before she'd be qualified. She goes from a 10 99 job to a wave earning hourly job salary. And as long as it's something comparable to what she did before, she basically could probably buy with three paychecks stuff. Could be even a little. It's too if she's going from 10 99 as a driver, and she's going to be self employed as a artist. Then I would tell you there's a two year waiting period two years, tax returns would be required prior to her being fully approved to purchase a house. So what if she goes into a fit if just if he was a driver, But then she becomes a Health care worker or something, and it's still w to does that make a difference. I would say if he can show that she's had experience in that specific field at any point in time, then I would probably tell you that it would work, okay? But here's the thing to Jennifer. You were in a perfect position. Kind of like machine and was right. You are just now you're transitioning in your life, and there's a lot of transition in the world. And so now is a good time for you to like Explorer, then get centered with who you are and what's important to you. And so when you mentioned things like artists, co ops and things like that Now would be a time for us to start talking about that. And, you know, getting familiar with those community so that when you are ready, you already familiar with that You don't have to do the research. You're like, Yeah, I know that building right And that fits exactly my personality, My style and Jennifer, I'll be honest with you. It was good to start having those conversations because, as Phil just said, it took me two years. You know to go. Okay. You know, I wanted to be better ready faster, but it just took me time to do some things and especially as someone who's 10 99 self employed person like you are. It took a minute to get all those pieces the lineup because it's a lot of pieces, and you have to be able to explain who you are. And that part is exhausting. I'll be honest with you, but you give really the thing that is good about it, Jennifer Is that it gets you really good and accomplished at going. I need to be proud of everything that I do. And how I have built this for myself because you spend a lot of time writing letters going. No, I am great fits so that I could give them to fill in his underwriter. Tio, I am accomplished this and I am quality of this. So it'll be really good and freeing for you mentally as well to do this, although it might take you a little longer than you know. So keep in mind. You're you're talking to two self employed women write exams, you know, really dated his self employed as well. So have been self employed for years, like for plus years, And so I do have some history but because of pandemic, right, the kind of stopped short. So I don't know if that matters to that two year because Because of a pandemic. How they're factoring that in what do you think? Soundly working? You know, I think you should sit down with a consultation with Phil. That's what I really think on DH Hell, where you were a kid. There's a lot of planning, I think has a lot of planning. But I understand that that I'm a pit bull when it comes to me, representing my client and the Shannon note, right? And I don't give up. I mean, if you're alone makes sense. You've gotta make right weaken, Doc. If weaken, document it, and it makes sense. I can normally get an underwriter to sign off on a self employment borrowers low, right, But it's gotta make sense. The numbers have to be valid. And you know, one of the things have being self employed that you've got to be careful of. If you've got all these abilities to write off your income under the tax laws, but understand every dollar you right off is one less dollar you have for qualifying. So in other words, if you say I had $100,000 in revenue, but I rode off 90,000 understand you're going to be qualified, based on $10,000 a year income. Which means you're not going to qualify to purchase a home. What if you have money to put down like if you have a chunk so you could put that does that mean we can talk about this? Obviously, but Does that matter if you have, if you have money to put down if you have money to put down its going to lower your debt to income racial, but unfortunately, you could put down 70% down. If your debt to income ratios are over 50%. Uh, it's gonna be really really talked to find a mortgage company home for you. That would approve your loan based on the fact that Minnesota has some of the strongest And toughest lending laws in the United States, right, Jennifer, we're going to get you help, though. I understand your journey. It's going to be great, though You're going to get really good at doing your profit and loss statement because Phil's gonna help you out..

"Showman is here from the red hot real estate group. Also on the line from supreme lending. Mr. Phil Coulson is with us as well. And we're happy to take your calls. That number is 6516411071 So I just want to say totally off topic. If I hear that, Tiffany remake one more time. You're not gonna blow my brains out. It's right there in the front where I'm like seeing elephants. You're like, I wish I was alone now and not here. I got it. Yeah, well, Phil, let's talk to you and I about forbearance and loan modifications and What people may not know about doing something like that right now. I let let's just start off from kind of the beginning. All right, people need to understand what is a forbearance. First off forbearance is where your delay in your payment. You're actually breaching your contract with your current servicer. Now? Yes, the federal government put out the for Barents policy that the mortgage servicers have to follow. The bottom line is those consumers are not being told what the downside is. First off, I would say, Don't do it. Believe it or not, you can actually put your car loans, your credit cards and four barren It has no impact on your credit. It does not have any impact on you your ability to purchase a home or refinance the home in the future. A lot. A lot of people don't know is once you put your mortgage in for barons. There's automatically a 12 month waiting period. So once the trade line when they report to the credit Bureau, it's not going to impact the score. What it's going to do with impact the specific trade line Toa where consumers gonna be required once they're out of forbearance to make 12 consecutive monthly payments. Before they could either get a new mortgage or refinance their home. So fill that helps people prioritize. So fill that will help people prioritize. If they do need to make some switches around in their budget. Right now, it's going. All right, well this pay this first and maybe put these other things on hold. Exactly so.

"But when you're in the in the midst of making a movie, it's kinda hard. Yeah. So they weren't big things. They weren't things that broke it. So for me, I I hadn't really enjoyable experience. We'll have some high numbers that leads us to synopsis little brief history and some lower. We're going to keep this synopsis real brief. Yeah. For a couple reasons but also to avoid major spoilers. If you haven't seen it you should now. Go see it back. We start picking it apart is going to be spoilers. So over the place. It starts on the home planet for the cre-. And. Hello. And so we are open on Bree Larson, or as we know her now veers waking from a dream and immediately going to do laws character. I don't remember his name right now. Yeah. To to train at the crack of dawn because she can't save seven nightmares. Fast forward a little bit. She's part of basically this special ops team for the cre-, and they go to this planet to rescue one of their own an actually it's the same planet from Afo. Yeah. From the comic book higher for the faster. And so when they get there, it's you know, a lot of refugees are there and stuff like that. And she's like we're gonna go in even though it was a little dangerous. So she goes in alone and the refugees actually turn out to be scroll and personally refugees, the big fight ensues. And we find out that she is on her way, she's captured and by by the scroll and her memories are being dug through she escapes. She gets to earth hilarity ensues fish out of water situation, while remaining a total bad ass. She meets a Nick fury to. I'd Nick fury and Phil Coulson from shield nNcholas Joseph your they become fast friends because he's fascinated with her. He gets in a car wreck with one years, and he's like all right? This is some real shit right now. What you don't know is that the leader of the scrolls has actually in. Tilted shield since crash landing on earth or see fifty fifty two three three three three fifty three is one plus DC's fifty two. And so there's a lot of this misguided who's who kind of situation going on? And you actually find out that this is really fascinating through at all. She used to be a pilot here on earth, and her mentor was essentially a cre- scientists that was trying to get light travel mar del mar Vel, and she created this engine and ended up needing to blow it up because we don't know yet. But fast food, she was in this wreck and everyone thought she was dead. So she knows she veers is from earth, and she had a name named Carol Denver's killed in Carroll, Dan. Right. So they find one of her old friends who is a pilot with her in the program. They were both kind of test pilots and the daughters pulled out, pictures and memories and all that stuff. And then the scroll come and have the daughter, and you find out that they're actually the good guys. And they're just refugees trying to find their way home and the Cree actually want this light speed travel to basically go around and conquer worlds person to extinction. Yeah. So she has her hero moment where she's like. All right. The Crear evil. Let's do this. Yeah. Action ensues, and she essentially lots unlocks her full potential is no longer bound by the terms of the Cree or the inhibitor and becomes one of the most powerful beings in the marvel universe and then scares off Ronin. Yeah. There's some hilarity with cats and stuff and losing is. But yeah, I would say we used to come back. Yeah. After the snapping. So little because I could do it. Good. Good. Brief history or of the lore of the character. And we've talked about our before is that, you know, coming from the Cree background like in the original complex marvel was a superhero created, and you know, he was created. It was all fine. "A little bit okay far enough you push it back a subsequent year now you're coming out year and a half after was meant to come out then you have to start guessing not assuming not knowing but guessing film is in trouble yeah 'cause you have made an entirely new film in that time presents my welby doing i it's a shame i didn't i didn't love the trailer but it's meets holy by surprise and as soon as i saw i wanna wanna see what this looks fresh jerry xmen films going to be like the cast is great you go easy williams you got any taylor joy he was like a monday scream queen she's doing amazing stuff in kind of the horror and thriller genre at the moment said it seemed like great v i mean if it does give them the chance to to to amp horror to make exactly the film they want it to be them we've got to keep fingers crossed but it is is chris said worrying but anyway listen we we always say this podcast we are excited and we hope that the film turns out well we the people involved so fingers crossed but we should talk about another movie that has just officially started ming he was filming for a little while of course marvel's captain marvel and it had some interesting additions this week to the cast along with the the i sort of look at religion a climate into a fighter chant because her caracar lavars is a is a fighter pilot she was meeting another real life i to pilot for some research of the announced some intricate casting we already know about the likes of hebron larsen and ben mendelsohn jude law and jackson of course nick fury but this week they added some familiar faces to the cast and that we've seen more movies before so clark greg will be returning to an mc film for the first time since offenders or ventures assemble if you want to call it as agent phil coulson of course he's been busy in tv land for the last five you'll have seen that tv show when jimbo i actually haven't seen agency showed i think i've watched the first two episodes and that really stop.
