The Upgraded, Expanded Sacred Womb Podcast!
"Today. I'm going be telling you about this expansion and the upgrade so that Yeah you know what's come in and the sort of topics that you can dive into in coming episodes so I've been working away in the background. These last few months really review in what I'm doing and how I'm doing and that started in January with test real sense of oh I've grown and I want to expand the work but I don't quite know how and that's come from a lot of deep therapeutic somatic experiencing transformation work and of course as I grow and my my consciousness expands so does that work is reflected in. Its So. Yeah that's what I've been doing and I basically started from scratch and thought well go if I did this again. If I started from nothing what would I build? What would I create an for the most part? I was really happy with the way things were going but I really have changed the way I work. And maybe that's GONNA show. I'm not sure maybe it's not but I'd love to hear that when she listened to a few episodes but I'm actually working less and be more productive so yeah I work with A. Va Ainhoa Allie. She's awesome so she's doing some of the things that I really not so good at or you know can handle even now and I'm going to concentrate on producing more podcasts. And really bring him more work to you and in ways that you can access so yes so if you filled out survey at the beginning of the year which. I'm really really grateful for because as I was doing this. Big Review in January and February. Your feedback came in which was so important because it actually confirmed what I was intuitive and Phelan and that was to find the range to include things such as relationships to include some life online circle so that you can access the work more easily one of the things. You said you really wanted. Collectively was a downloadable workbooks. So I'm going to be put in some those in the shop along with. I mean ceremonies and downloadable videos and stuff so yeah that was super super super useful. But what I want to talk to you. Focus on today about. Is this new range of work. Some cooling it womb centered wisdom for the arc of womanhood and his how. I've summarized it so. This work is to feel safe and welcomed from birth valued as a woman skilled in using the womb center to navigate life for full embodiment and integration at to live as an expression of creation. I really wanted to get clear on. Why would she want to live from the womb center? What does it feel like when we do actually start to use our whim center as a genuine compass? And we get feedback on all life shifts shifts. Mealy said those differently and a life really shifts and Oh we feel over changes we see the changes and we get some relief from those older patterns that were plaguing us so yeah to live as an expression of creation is what this is all about so the expanded range of topics includes I. We've got birth recalibration. Now this is something I've been working on for the last couple of years. Actually so the way we come into this world the way we are born really informs how and who we are in the world and from birth if we feel safe and welcome in the world and fully in our body really gives us a very relaxed grounded experience from the start and what happens in birth is we have these internal pathways little bit like a seed growing into a tree that open up in birth and if these don't complete than they then not complete within our lives as we take that forwards so I mean birth is a big big thing and and oftentimes there are difficulties and sometimes us also trauma and the patterns that have performed at birth form foundation of WHO and how we are in the world one example. Is that if we are born in in a very rushed way We kinda feel rushed if we sort of pulled out all the caesarian. I get more into this in a different podcast. But yeah that's that's going to have us feeling a certain way and this patents within his pathways within his. Don't get chance to complete and that can be really traumatizing. And it's kind of hard to get hold of those with traditional talking therapies because we can kind of meaning make but we can't read the access the actual feeling of it and then get it to complete so

Dealing With Alcoholism
"So Simon Welcome into yours. Thanks for have amazed to be here so I want to talk to you about kind of in general Staying Sober Pass Stride Stride January through that now and also how alcohol and giving up. Alcohol has affected your mental health mentally. I focus on your mental health. You show regrets mentally taking mental entity then then today mm-hmm so can we start with. Just how did you realize that you had a problem with alcohol. Yeah that's a really good place to start. Actually because so many mini paypal ever realized. I've got a problem. They drink daily and think everything's Okay and always one of those people. I was drinking between one and three bottles of red wine. Every day often washed down with Basil sometimes spirits and I went on for years the over two decades not realize how to problem and eventually I could see it was affecting me how I was an alcoholic in front of the most important things in my life. Lock my son and my wife my health my career and spent about five years in the place off the being away which was actually being aware I had a problem and starting to realize this was affected my diet to die life and causing causing me problems and always thinking about alcohol too much and that actually led to about five years being stuck in a really radio painful price which was where I was aware but I didn't know what the hell do about an when I coach people I help people quit alcohol-free free my facebook group and I do coaching sessions Away from that as well. I often tell them that. That is probably the toughest Paul on the journey anita to freedom from alcohol. When you're stuck in that place where you just what to do you know you've got all the way to go? How do you ton that was a difficult time for me? And it's you know it's been a long time there and I mean without going into the detail which might be we can dig into a little bit without got into that detail. The tipping point for me was one more than some computer hands were shaking shaking uncontrollably and the next day the same thing can realize that this was affected my health. They always going to end up date. Full the age of fifty. If I carry. Don't do this and that was when she moved for just just being aware. I had a problem to actually starting to do something about the people in your life. Were they aware of what was going on. What you're doing now? Like many people with the alcohol problem always always really good at Kinda covering up. is you run a business with twenty five staff all used to be in the face by Hoff seven mice commends out. Brush my teeth three or four times every morning Matanga be pub the red wine the night before and nobody really knew die. Now if I service MEL Polls my skin from the booze the auto the night before Detroit take steps to hide it my wife Yes. She was aware of how much I was drinking and she moved from drinking bottles of wine onto wind box. As because I I kind of wanted to hide that and don't really be able to say it in the cowboy Die for what it was. An the winebox is really easy to get Radovan. It opened the recycling of the neighbors. Say when you were drinking at at your worse did you notice. Certain triggers was when he was stressed or is it just constant drinking drinking everyday. Now it was a free died and Juno will always gave myself a raisin so if we had a good diet baseness yeah we we brought on board five new clients. That's the reason they celebrate. Open the wine. If I had a bad Diana client left us a bad review. That was another escapees. He's always have a reason an otherwise. justify it to myself so that one big all it wasn't a binge drinker way EH. That was a particular trigger or a place that set it off. It was just the daily routine. My son would go to bed so not. You couldn't wait to get intimate. which is all for now so that I could get shares out the cupboard and just drink it in his volumes of as much as possible? Oh so now. That wasn't really trigger. It was just the daily routine looking back. was there anything that you are trying to kind of escape from that time. Yeah that's a Geno Soggy marches come to light since I quit his Co. story I particularly in relation to mental health. But I think think I was so suffered from really really bad anxiety is horrific and I would worry about things that never often never happened. Happened and I would walk myself are part of meltdowns about things by myself. Feel better by thinking as a wise the wine join the savage in the tykes the edge of so I think I was coined self medicating without actually realizing all these tough challenging thoughts that were going on in my head and these feelings but the the interesting dimension to this is over since I quit drink him now always being quiet. hyperactive impulsive There's a whole a whole bunch of things on a paper said to me over. The years might go. Gee must've each day and he's been like a running joke since I quit. A lot of the symptoms have been so much clearer a- a- my wife actually said to me suck me down and said no I'm really saying as I'm sayin' in Saga many things. The didn't see when you were drink him because always mosque in it with the alcohol and the quit. Drinking is almost like someone's pope the cutters on these symptoms and not hide from is not covered up now so I actually went for an assessment again long story show and and they confirmed the combined at idea each day an had. I not quit drinking. I would never have been able to sean lawyer lawyer on that or would probably just carried on living as I was an all makes much sense now. The I actually Drinkin- because I had so many things things going on with the idea. Hd as well as the ZOA. Though I just felt frustrated things would get to me. I didn't feel like people understood more House things might fail by was okay because I always had wine in. That always took the edge off and on could always look forward to so again if it was another gift from the Saga Life. The I've been able to know the of got a now understand myself yourself a bit better. Yeah we've been up a whole another angle tons of men to health and so on size not only the hangs is Adhd guy with it is well how do you cope with Adhd and anxiety now. Because obviously it's brilliant give up drinking but it's kind of like you've given up your self medication as well yet. That's so around probably three or four months after I quit drinking the the dog clouds of anxiety that had been with me for probably twenty years or more. It was almost as if they started to fight a wide and it was like the sun-star it in my life again and I was so much more engaged in prison with my son and my wife and my friends and anything that I who is doing and also it actually notice it myself smiling and laughing again. I thought I was destined to become these grumpy old. Man I just thought that was who I was Rosen. How it was gonna be and suddenly things started? Changing anxiety faded away instead of feeling like nine or ten Out of ten in terms of how bad it was it. Just fight it down to like two or three out of ten and yes things do still come up. The Coles may anxiety. Aw that's life but I've now learned to sit with emotions and sit with uncomfortable fade ins off even youtube videos about how to handle those failings Phelan's and worked through them rather than bury the old self medicate with alcohol. So I can now Have something uncomfortable happened my life and three that confounded away with complete closure on never to rear its head again kind of thing. That's that's how it

What's the Real History of El Camino Real?
"If you live or work on the San Francisco Peninsula you probably spent a lot of time on El Camino Royale Road that runs from San Francisco to San Jose through the center of many towns. Along the way. It's one of California's best known roads. And if you grew grew up here you probably learned about it in school. The story goes L. Community out is an ancient road built by the Spanish to connect the twenty one missions along on California's coast. But here's the thing that story. It's not exactly true. This big curious. I'm Olivia Allen Price Today. We're bringing you a story that first aired on our show back in twenty seventeen about the real history of El Camino real support for bay. Curious comes from Sierra. Nevada Brewing Company family owned operated and argued over since one thousand nine hundred reminding listeners to think for themselves but drink with others. SIERRA SIERRA NEVADA DOT COM K. Committees Rachel myrow senior editor of the Silicon Valley Newsdesk hit the trail with this week's question. Asker we met at mission in Santa Clara because this story dates all the way back to the Spanish colonial era in California. My name is Debbie Tori. I live in Campbell California Tori aspect curious the question. What can you find out about the El Camino real history? My name is Robert Cinco. wits professor of history at Santa Clara University sank quits is the man who can answer that and then some starting with the perhaps surprising truth that there were many El Camino rails all over the land. Spain used to control in the WHO world from seventeen sixty nine to eighteen twenty one royal roads. That was what you would call the main roads in any particular area because technically all of us belong to the King of Spain but wait. I read on wikipedia that this El Camino real but one in silicon valley is part of the historic mission trail on ancient fro that connects the Spanish missions. Like a string of pearls along the California coast. Also I'm pretty sure I heard somewhere possibly in school that the distance between each mission. It's supposed to be about a day's journey. What happened has to do more with southern California than it does with with Northern California a by about the eighteen seventies? As you get more and more Anglo Americans coming in the southern California and the the angle population really increases With the arrival of the railroads in Los Angeles listen the eighteen eighties now in America. There's a rich tradition of just got here yesterday. People concocting romantic origin myths and a number of influential fluential southern Californians wanted one of their own. They looked around and saw crumbling. Spanish missions twenty one of them stretching from the Mexican border all the way north to Sonoma's. Here's the story is told in Nineteen Fifty one promotional film for Greyhound buses called Freedom Highway Bridge the same road. The Spaniards followed almost two hundred years ago. Only they call it El Camino real kings highway. China imagine how was on horseback. Of course what was really going on here was the enslavement of local tribespeople. who were reeling under? The impact of European diseases forced religious religious conversion and the destruction of their entire way of life. Not that our question Asker Debbie Tori or I learned much of this in the fourth grade which is when a lot of California school. Children studied the subject. You're right they did glamorize it thinking it was a wonderful. The mission passed that they've construct was a fantasy past ROIC missionaries happy contented. Indians Fandango is all over the place. You know the Spanish mich- often enough you read and textbook that they blazed trails but they didn't blaze trails. They follow trails. That had already been developed by the indigenous people up and down the California coast I but at the turn of the twentieth century few people wanted that version of history. They wanted something fun. Happy Exotic groups like the landmarks club and the native daughters of the Golden West pushed to reframe collection of dirt roads into a rediscovered king's highway and the Automobile Appeal Club of southern California kind of sides. This fantasy past is a great way of getting people to buy drive automobiles and so what they do. is they begin. The push the notion that there was one central road which they named the commuter rail that connected the missions they began to push the notion commissions were located A day's journey from each other. You know which kind of when you think about. It makes them motels rather than what they actually were. Agents of simulation immolation of of the native peoples so wind in northern California. Play along with this southern California Fantasy Sanca wits says the concept caught on with wealthy Californians leg Jane Stanford wife of the Real Road Barren Lewin Stanford and wealthy Catholics like San Francisco. Mayor James Phelan Eland. They wanted the Spanish missions restored to something like their former glory. Lot of them were in really sad shape. If you look at pictures from the eighteen sixties exceeds eighteen seventies. The missions are crumbling. Consider this if the Spanish revival movement had not happened we might be looking at a string ruins along the California coast standing inside the sumptuous renovated mission. Santa Clara on the Modern Day campus of Santa Clara University Tori agrees. I'm actually kind of speechless. Listen here it's it's just magnificent. I feel like I'm in Europe. Then we hop in a modern day car and drive a half an hour to mission San Jose which is actually in modern day Fremont think of it as a mini mission road trip focused on the South Bay and here in Fremont we find one of the most historically accurate restorations in the California commission system and the on site museum is not to miss. debby Tori grabs a fact based map of the missions from the gift shop. So so debbie do you see yourself going on a mission tour. After this as a matter of fact yes. Tory took her kids on a mission tour like this years ago but told them a lot of Steph. She genuinely believed the turns out to be bunk. Her grandkids will get the truth. But Rachel I still have a question so every now. And then. When I'm driving along El Camino scenerio I will see a shepherd's crook on the side of the road and from the Crook hangs a bell that I have been told Marks this historic historic trail. Are those what's deal with spells. I guess those also stem back to the same period of time when people I came up with El Camino Rail There was a wife of a foundry owner in Los Angeles who conveniently suggested that she could manufacture these handy bells that were sort of reminiscent. I'm a nuisance of the Spanish era. Up and down the new route that they had just created Mrs Arbitrage C. E. Forbes and and in one thousand nine hundred ninety six cal trans decided to resurrect the bells So you'll spot him one or two miles apart on a variety of state routes because of course there isn't one route reality fantasy. Don't quite match up REX payer dollar's have helped to feed this fantasy fans. Yes well the taxpayer dollars to feed it the first time too so people are making money off of this. Yes this is a a two million dollar testament to the enduring appeal wheel of a made up version of history.
Vikings' Thielen limited in practice with ankle injury
"The Vikings pair of wide receivers let's see Stefon Diggs was sick and did not practice today head coach Mike Zimmer says he's optimistic though the digs will play on Saturday when they visit San Francisco and Adam Phelan was limited today with an ankle and it's reportedly us believe that he suffered that injury midway through practice
"phelan" Discussed on Newsradio 830 WCCO
"Start this is the first this so Phelan calls set up it I brought this up with Jeff diamond on our purple Sunday post game show you're a news talk he three oh WCCO that was a huge spot no football game because the Vikings defense was able to hold the saints the three same skin seven there this could be a completely different football game yeah I last week I was of the belief that you look at the golfers get against Auburn a fan tastic gameplay by PJ flak I mean they were they were the aggressor they were they came out and they punch Auburn in the mouth and the gophers dominated they control that football game I said that the Vikings needed to follow that script that to me Steve did not include committing a turnover on your very first drive what I said Hey Vikings due to go for his dad I didn't mean turn the football over and give up a field goal but that that could have I I can't tell you like as soon as that happened I was like it was that sense of dread again like well all right this was this was fun what was a nightmare of a start in the fact that they were able to an Eric Nelson was in for Henry on our purple Sunday pregame show then took over for Henry have by half during the game on Sunday as well Eric and I were watching the game together and we're just like that's not good and he made a great point if they can hold on to three this could play really well for the Minnesota Vikings so ultimately this turned out to be a really bad thing but also may be turned into a confidence builder for the Vikings we just sell the saints in the Super Bowl two field goal and they got the ball an outstanding field position often turn over from one of ours star players in Adam feeling they're going to get a touch down there the fans are revved up this game goes completely in another direction so for me that was a huge place early in this football game and of course ultimately they get it's over time and and we'll get in to that more and then one of the things we want to bring up in detail here on late night Steve sitting in for Henry is Kirk cousins does this change your mind about Kirk cousins going forward does this open the door in your opinion for Kirk cousins to be a long term solution at quarterback but in the off season with one year to go on this deal they extend Kerr because since the day you sit down and say he's our guy not only in twenty twenty one but twenty twenty two maybe twenty twenty three it out did you extend Kirk cousins no matter what happened Saturday in San Francisco we'd love to hear your thoughts on what this does in your mind for Kirk cousins and you see the key is clearly the quarterback now but is he the quarterback next year and beyond in your opinion for the Minnesota Vikings based on what you saw this season and based on what he was able to do it in this.
Dr. David Chao talks injuries
"Dr Child always good to have you aboard for the show. Thanks for having me. So when we look at some of the injuries that kind of flakes of the skill position talents We had a big one again in Tampa and it seems to be history repeating itself last week we talked about Mike Evans. His hamstring hamstring the season ending scenario. That played out there. Lo and behold Chris Godwin goes down with what looked like a similar injury last. We saw him carted off in the tunnel in Detroit. Coincidence there is there something going on in Tampa as it pertains to their wideouts in their hamstrings as we get into the tail end of the season they run them ragged and they throw the ball lot. That's probably the only Only Lincoln Yeah and if you really WANNA go conspiracy theory Mike Evans last week. You Scott Miller Another wide receiver earlier in the game in Chris Godwin in early in the season Perriman had a hamstring issue. So if you really trying to go that way but I think it's just coincidence and maybe some of it is They're still slinging the ball around quite a bit Four hundred fifty yards for James Winston This week so so they were running a lot of routes and so forth as we talked about Mike Evans Hamstring with significant and with only three games left. We thought you and I are candidate. I think the same something's GonNa fall for for Chris Godwin here. You know there's only two weeks left there the bucks out of it The hamstring is probably going to be longer than that and he's probably headed into reserve so What does that mean I mean? Had you know from a fantasy site look for paramount. Because Winston's going to have to you. Who else is left? That's a blow. Be still my heart God. What has been the Horse Dr John? That's gotten me in the fantasy. Football finals beat up on her. Dear friend Clay Travis this past past week and in a massive showdown GonNa help that somebody else on my rosters able to step up and fill that void pain savior jokes. Because I know you're gonNA take cheap shots I'm not at all I'm not at all actually gonNA transition to another wide receiver with Adam Phelan. There was talks that he wasn't going to return until he was one hundred percent. Healthy Limited. Snap count this past against the chargers. What do you think that was maybe score or Israel setback therefore Adam feeling well? I think it's a original part of the plan in preparation. Maybe the seven snaps were only because of because of the score but he was never gonNA play fifty Think about it this way first of all if you look Ah. The history of what happened with Phelan was supposed to be a minor hamstring. You played it. Two weeks aggravated missed. Many more weeks. Try to come back to fast in in Practice aggravated again. So they've been burned twice with aggravation. Do you think they were GonNa be burned a third time when next week. They have the Monday night game against against the packers which is for the division and then even the week seventeen game against the division rival bears. This were the LA chargers not that you look past with them. But I don't care who it was only made medical sense to bring him back a little more slowly this type give them a few game raps so that he can and be good to go for the packers. I think you'll see. EEOC normal reps against the packers next week but there was no way he's going to see normal routes this week and so even when Schefter after said he was going to play and be fine. I never thought he would. But you know we all know coachspeak right. It's just another example of coachspeak another guy that's critical to the Vikings offensive successes. Delvin Cook suffered another shoulder. Injury couldn't return against the chargers. Obviously you mentioned the importance of the Monday night. Game against the packers will Delvin Cook play and if so how effective can you be. Well here's a good news. Bad News Bad news is he got hurt again and you didn't finish the game the bad news. It's actually a new injury and that's also the good news it's a new injury if it were the SC join again the right Septa. You'd have to say. Even when he plays against the packers he's one hit one play from being out against. This seems to be something to his left shoulder by video. I can't tell you exactly what it is. There's which sometimes good news because if he dislocated I could tell you. I don't think that's the case. I can't tell you exactly what he has. But it's new to the left shoulder and I think there is okay. Good chance I would expect that he will play and be good to go against the packers And I think that's part of where they said Look L.. Let us live to fight another day Dalvin and rest the rest of the game here in terms of feeling like they have a game in hand out in Los Angeles makes percents with a capable fill in like Mike. Boone had two touchdowns he actually had the second highest sparks score among running backs in two thousand eighteen draft only behind saquon so hard running running in athletic last Vikings Guy One ask you about. That's crucial to the defense's cornerback. Xavier Rhodes went into the chargers game with an ankle. Injury already played through it left left with what appeared to be a calf injury. Does he have a shot to play against Green Bay it's GonNa be hard Calf injuries linger CT Way Hilton. And uh-huh this even though he was GonNa want to at the quarterback position. It's pretty hard to break in driving the ball. If you don't have your staff there then you add the lingering ankle. I mean when you talk about multiple injuries and one of them being calf especially the positioning place as optimistic as I am on Dow Cook able to go. I'm not pessimistic and league's exist your roads being able to go last one. I want to ask you about beforehand it back to todd. The timeline probably doesn't work if it's a high ankle sprain but The seasons on the Line Right Philadelphia Dallas does lane. Johnson have a chance to play this week. I think he does first of all learning clean. Johnson Yasser Heikal Spring He might get some pre-game quote acupuncture to play area. I mean it's it's that big give a game and the other thing is he. You know Yes he's a tackle so he's a little more in space and I can guard. But but certainly it's easier to for a Lineman Wiedeman an offensive lineman to play through high ankle than some other skill position. So I think he's GonNa try everything you can to go. The question is If he can royal factor if you will be I think you're GONNA try all hands on deck type game coming up Sunday for the division and I know a lot of our board listeners Dr Chow who have been writing this Eagles Eagles train with the division future since the beginning of the season. So we'll all sit with wait and wait with bated breath as they go into that one against maybe resurgent cowboys team is short home underdogs but but before we get there. We do have a Monday night. Football game and clearly. The biggest injury around this contest is with. Ty held a lot of optimism through colts camp but you look through some of the lingering signs for T. Y.. Hilton this calf injury. Do you expect him to be able to give it a go tonight. And if if even tries how effective do you believe. He can be out there as a viable deep throat against the Saints Defense. Well you know. There's there's there's two two thoughts here the he will play thought and he won't play thought if you go by what the head coach says and very fulmer to him. Even Situation Frank Reich is if he plays on Monday. We'll be at one hundred percent. I E not playing short of a hundred percent. Well if that is actually true. He's not playing period. There's no way that cafeteria one hundred percent is lingered this long another couple of days. He's been full practice all all week and other days isn't GonNa Change Anything. There's no way he's hundred hundred percent for tonight's game. So we're going to stick to what Frank Reich really sad. Ty He's already told US T Y Hilton's not playing but we all know coachspeak and we all know this is. The colts is kind of last chance. They kind of have to win to stay in it to have any chance to stay in it so That may push what t y Hilton does and you may try. Try and go always interesting to see these guys and who's able to gut it out. As it becomes a war of attrition at this point in the season especially with playoff berths hanging in the balance team saw hang on for dear life in their respective conferences. You can follow Dr David Show on twitter at pro football doc like we say every week the single best source for injury information not only for your sports gambling but for those fantasy football ball championships. That are coming up. He's got a great podcast. Delve sometimes a little bit deeper into a lot of the injury information. Dr Chow. Can't thank you enough for your time. Although I'm going to have to cry before we continue the rest of this podcast with pain now. Knowing Chris Godden won't be available for me to go out there and win a title sort of your that gets into. Thanks as always Dr

Vikings' Stefon Diggs Addresses Trade Rumors Ahead of Giants Match-Up
"Have a an epidemic in the NFL Stefan digs now is letting it be known that because times are getting tough in the modern fell times get tough trade me. Get me out of here. I'm not happy be I don't need to play out to my contract. I will be sick. I will go home and then I will try to force your hand to trade me. He came back to the team. After missing a practice yesterday digs eggs and this isn't a season in which we know everything has gone badly right now going badly right now for Minnesota's offense very small sample size by the way but he is not getting targeted targeted the way he did lassie's not even close Stefan digs and on the same week that Adam Phelan called out the offense and the quarterback leading kirk cousins weirdly publicly apologizing to Adam feeling the other wide receiver then lets it be known that he wants Outta town so Minnesota has a lot of issues right now and it's kind of an interesting time for them to go face a giants team that despite back to back wins known is GonNa Confuse this defense with the eighty six giants Minnesota if they just figure out some type of game plan and finds a balance of their offense you would think they should be able to move the ball and if they don't and Danny dimes James and I don't think say quantum Barclays playing but apparently he is he is possible they says not practicing as of Thursday but apparently he's such a superman that it's he's getting close but even without Saquon Barkley at the Vikings find a way to to win this game and if they look bad doing it we might have a mutiny on our hands with the old Viking
How Are Maine Coons Different From Other Cats?
"Friendly intelligent and huge. Maine coon's are rugged longhaired cat breed. That's become a favourite of Phelan fans everywhere from the breeds mysterious origins to its oddly dog like behavior Maine coon's. Aren't your average everyday house cats first off. They're the largest of all domesticated cat breeds. They gain as much as two pounds. That's about a kilogram per month during their growing cycle which ends at about four years of age which which is more than quadruple the maturity time of other breeds well most adult cats way about seven pounds. That's around three kilos. Maine coon male cats tip the scales up to twenty five pounds or eleven kilos females typically weigh in at about twenty pounds or nine kilos. Maine coon's are also some of the world's longest domesticated. It'd cats in terms of physical link as well as in terms of time since domestication both male and female. Maine coon's typically reach up to forty inches. That's a meter for in length from their noses to the tips of their bushy tails and although the main coon is often regarded as America's first domesticated breed. It's ancestry is shrouded in mystery jury advances in genetic testing could help identify the Maine coon's ancient relatives which may have accompanied the Vikings on their exploratory voyages. There is one origin story you however that may have resulted in the breed's distinctive name Captain Charles Kuhn kept longhaired cats on board when he sailed from England to New England ports during the late seventeenth seventeen in early eighteen hundreds legend has it that when Kuhn anchored his ship in New England ports his cats would slip away to mate with local felines although it is is steeped in speculation this long-standing folk story purports that these long haired Kitten or referred to as coon's cats the Maine coon's origins may be Murky Erkki but its future looks clear in nineteen eighty-five the main coon was declared the official state cat of Maine and as twenty eighteen the main coon was the fifth most popular breed in the United States a Maine coon even had a pivotal role in the Harry Potter films as Mrs Norris The pet cat of Custodian Mr Filch her claim to fame besides starring starring in one of the hottest film franchises of all time was stopping on command as she paced the halls of hogwarts. Many Maine coon's can be trained the way that you train a dog this intelligent and eager to please breed exhibits a few doglike tendencies such as following their owners between rooms and the capacity to and interested in responding well to training with the assistance of training techniques like using a clicker that makes a clip indistinct sound followed by treats. A Maine coon's behavior can be harnessed though despite popular perceptions options just about any cat can be trained using these tools if you keep at it and that training can help keep house cats stimulated satisfied and physically fit. Most cats have an aversion to getting wet but not so Maine coon's equipped with water resistant for these be lines. Don't mind taking a bath are known for joining humans in the shower the even go for a swim for example tizzy a five year old. Maine coon from Pennsylvania made headlines for taking laps in her family's swimming pool something she likes to do on a regular racists during the summer months and in two thousand and four a Maine coon named a little nicky became the first pet animal to be cloned commercially after Little Nicky died at the age of seventeen his Dallas. Area owner paid fifty thousand dollars to have little nicky's. DNA transplanted into an egg cell. A surrogate mother cat carried the embryo and Walla a kitten similar in appearance and personality too Little
Isabelle Huppert and Chloe Grace Moretz on their new movie 'Greta'
"Welcome to popcorn where I tell you. What's happening at the movies? And if you want to go to a movie feel suspense little terror. Also laugh also just have a really good time. Then you see, Greta and lucky for me and all of you. I've got the two stars. Right here is about pair. Who is Greta and Coa grace Murat's who's not. Now, I'm shocked to of you did not bring handbags. Now, it's a shame. I wanted to see what would be in to do this. Can you set up a little bit about what Greta is about without spoiling everything for everybody? Grad is the story of. Two women young women and myself, and and and Guerra is is not a really nice person. She's thirty faced person. Indeed. And. And she liked to attract for a beautiful and and weak young woman in her space. And and she likes to do things that I hope nobody thinks example in her apart from western screen. When you played several roles like that where. Yes nut to to this point. No, she's not. This point. I wouldn't do it. And you grace are the innocent the naive. Yes. Yes. Yeah. I mean, it was it was a wonderful experience building, our our relationship onscreen. And obviously, of course, offscreen, but I think we have such a nice time building that love relationship in the beginning. And then to watch it decay in fall apart in the, you know, the psychosis takeover was it was really fun to shoot. But also, it was difficult really intense at times stay in character. Doing this. I think it's really difficult for Chloe. Sometimes. Giving Riyadh time. And and and myself, you know, I mean, the most horrible things I was doing the most. Lisera? But it was for me. But it wasn't to do to Neil Jordan's vision and aging I mean, the movie's really as you said, you know, is it's as horrible as it is. It's a lot of fun because there was such a great some humor in it all the time. And it's it's and it adds to the to the of balance into misery to the female. So this humor, and he's being funny. It's very disturbing. I think I think in the beginning, I was kind of liking it. So you see? Yeah. There was a moment where that is. And I think I can talk about that premise because I brought up the hand back. Right. You leave him back on the subway in New York. Even though this movie was shot in Ireland. Looks like subway to me. I guess it's Neil Jordan just wanted to be home. You wanted to be an Ireland, and you would pick it up or somebody would pick it up and return it to you. Because her. Name and address would been there. I keep thinking as a New Yorker that most New Yorkers would say, I'm gonna take it sell it on EBay, you know, but you are so sweet sweet girl from Massachusetts is just freshly moved this city, and it swallows her whole, Greta Greta had Greta takes her in. Would you both had experienced in playing people who hey, especially you your carry your hit girl and kick ass, you you played different roles. That's what I love about both of this impossible to type cast you when she think, oh, you can do this you just change everything up. So you were saying before that you can have fun. How did you have fun on this movie with all this suspense going way? We had fun because you know, I think doing the movie as you do it, you know, the devices, and you know, the tricks and so and being an actress is not the same as being spectator. You know, I know it because I am speaking to myself. So I mean you react and you are scared or disturb. Very different than when you went actually when you're actor just have fun doing that. Fingered and things like this. I don't onto nvr what's happening. So it's fun. You know, it's just it's just doing it. You know? And that's all there was a quote from you want and probably never said it. But anyway, I liked it. So I'll repeat it that. It was the acting was away to workout ones insanity. Yes. Yes. And also watch movies away of acting twins insanity. I think that's what movies are made for and books and everything that that, you know, make your imagination travel. It's very healthy. The whole Dewey twitching the screen or acting in Phelan for real that's for sure. Do you feel that way? Most definitely, you know, I think I've had the opportunity over the years as a kid to grow up acting and using it as as much, you know, more of an outlet than anything to express, my feelings and learn a lot about my own emotional, compass, but it's, you know, it's interesting to to act out these wild moments in movie, sometimes that are just so, you know, off the walls that you would never be able to achieve in your life. Hopefully, if you are of a sane mind. So yeah, it's incredibly therapeutic. You both started in this business. Really young right. Oh, she started younger that I you. What were you? No, I was seven. A bit more. More. What does that do t you when you begin so early in a business, even if you're I think it was really begin? You know, when you are an actor whenever you do actually, and, but especially doing movies, I think it's really the art of doing it for the first time by definition, you know, you work on unknown material, you know, unknown dialogues stories, and and and meeting director for the first time and him having him imagining his staging is always some it's the art of the of the first time and of the present moment. So I think it makes everybody even in that respect. And you don't feel like you repeat yourself or that you can shrive on on on knowing things before on, you know, you just very fresh in a way. Well, yeah, that's the collaboration process, but one about did you ever feel you miss. St- out on your childhood. By no means. No, I still with me. Anyway. So. You know, I think that's something. You carry all your life, isn't it? But she has it, you know, she can certainly took buried more. You didn't feel that you missed something or being with your friends when you were quite on the contrary, I think for me, I I learned tenfold what you know. I could've learned just being in school. You know, I think I was able to do my schooling and stuff on set. And I was around such amazing people from young age that I felt you know, really very much. So that I'm marinated in a in a situation, which really harbored my artistic ability and allowed me to grow in ways that I I don't think I could have an different system. So for me, it was it was a treasure. It was a gift. Yeah.

"And among the features on the show a visit with Adam Phelan before that final Vikings regular season game. And they called her joins us for the Minneapolis. Saint Paul business journal to talk about the biggest Minnesota business stories of the year. That's all six to nine from the carrier heating studios on WCTC. Oh. Nine minutes down from ten o'clock, Eric I'm gonna go out on a limb. Bike spare Sunday bike, sir. I saw four and a half point favorites. I think is the latest all right now when it comes through Sunday is three twenty five game vikes winning there in. I'm gonna go out on oldest is going way out there turnovers. Yeah. Hey, wait, a make a bold statement. But Mitchell Trubisky if he's a game manager doesn't turn it over the bear is having excellent chance to win. But you can say the same thing about the Vikings. Vikings have a very good defense if Kirk cousins can protect the ball managed the game not trying to do too much. I feel like they've found a running game. And Alvin cook we we know about stuff on digs. We know about Adam Phelan Kyle Rudolph and the weapons they have on the outside. But one of the problems for the Vikings has been in opportune turnovers, and you can't do it against his bears team. They'll kill you know, and that really was the tipping point in game one down in Chicago Jackson had the pick six Kirk cousins. This season has three pick sixes on the resume and two fumbles that resulted in scoop and scores those game changers. It it's usually very difficult. Overcome those kind of mistakes. So I think you're right. And when you look at the Chicago quarterback situation, Mitchell Trubisky, I know there's a lot of bears fans who they're skittish about Trubisky. They're not quite sure yet. What what what this guy's going to become? But one thing we know he's mobile he can move around. I think one key for the Vikings defensively as heap. This guy in the pocket. Don't let him get outside of the hash marks or the numbers in wreak havoc. Because I think that's how you can break up a very good defense and the Vikings defense right now is playing outstanding football look what they did against Detroit. Look what they did against Miami. But if Travis key starts moving around. It's a different story. They have a good running game. Tariq Cohen, Jordan Howard. But yes, this is going to be an interesting game. I know some people believe the Vikings will will win because they're more desperate in one way. They're playing for their life. Although if the eagles lose it won't matter. But again, I think Chicago's coming in here to send a message. That you know, two or three seed we can go in and win a game at US Bank stadium that will feel like a playoff game. I think it would bode well for Chicago if they came in here and one further next round of the playoffs. Here's what I think. I think the bears are going to come in with a very conservative offense of game plan. But I have a feeling they're gonna turn the bears defense loose in. If they make some plays early look out it all gets back to that turnover. In an all falls on Kirk cousins. He makes a bad decision or too early. The sink could go the wrong way very quickly because you fall behind the spirits defense by ten points early or two touchdowns early. Forget about it. And I want to see how the Vikings line response to that first game on the Sunday night. Chicago was pushing him around. I mean, there's there's the one visual have of akiem Hicks, one arming, I believe it was for remers and knocking them back. And that's just one play. But they won the battle upfront in the trenches. So the Vikings lines going to try to come out and say, you know, what we can get physical to Wheaton get it done. That's going to be a challenge if they can do that Minnesota will be in the game. And I'll go back to what I say every week. What about special teams? Now, the Vikings certainly have had their issues with Dan Bailey before that Daniel Carlson, but parkey in Chicago is also had some games where fans are wondering. If he's going to put it between the uprights instead of hit the upright. So that could also be your determining factor. Who has the better special teams? It could come down to a return. I mean, Marcus cheryl's had a huge punt returner against Miami a couple of weeks ago, you'd never know it is a monster game though for the vikes to get in. But I think an even bigger game for Kirk cousins. Let's close on this one of the knocks on Kirk cousins is is he a big game quarterback. You think a big game quarterbacks over the years wh- what comes to mind in with Joe Montana. Still might be one of the great big game quarterbacks ever. Clearly is you know, top five big game quarterback. Can Kirk cousins take that step? You can put up the numbers. He's got the big arm. You know, he can play could he be the big game quarterback. Yeah. This is not about filling up a box score. This is not about making fantasy owners happy. Right. This is about Kirk cousins. And the Minnesota Vikings not just Kirk but the Minnesota Vikings winning a football game in any way, shape or form. If it takes Kirk cousins to throw for three fifty and three scores, then that's what they'll have to do. But if they have to use the template they did against Miami where they run it forty times dalvin goes off. That's what they'll do if it takes defense limiting Chicago to nine points. That's what they need to do. Whatever it takes when he got coming up e following the news. We'll talk to Bob Nightingale from USA today. They're baseball columnists. We'll get his thoughts on Nelson Cruz and a former Viking Matthew hatchet will join us at ten thirty five. Get his takeaways on Chicago. Minnesota aren't big banks to Susan blanche are. "You have big games for Kirk cousins. And and guys like that. But ultimately the goal for every game is to win the game going out win the game. The bears won the game fourteen two nine some people say not an impressive game. You know, what they want the game in the NFL is not easy to win yesterday half. The teams lost the bears were not one of those teams. They won the game fourteen two nine Seattle went to Levi's stadium last week and played the Niners. Guess what Seattle lost? So you know winning is the ultimate goal. And that's what the bears have been able to do bears defense. Of course is a team is is the biggest part of this team. They got another interception yesterday as daddy to Raith and picked off a pass late in the game. Which was obviously. Big. No they needed to do that. I was really interested to see how they were gonna play without Eddie Jackson and they'll probably play without Eddie Jackson. Again this coming week. I think this coming week without any Jackson. Going up against the Minnesota Vikings team that needs the win to guarantee themselves a playoff spot. This is going to be a test for Dionne Bush at Adrian Amos ammos actually had a really good game. I was looking to some of the numbers earlier and let me see here. He's not running this one. I have I had so much stuff on the game where Adrian ammos actually had a pretty decent game. Would I grab his tackle numbers for the contest? And that was good to see because Adrian, ammos, he was second on the team in tackles. Roquan Smith had nine tackles Adrian animals had eight. So he stepped up his game without Eddie Jackson being their trevathan was seven Khalil Mack had five. You only had one sack that was the roquan Smith when he came wide open. So very very important stuff. How the bears are going to play defensively playing against the Niners without very good receivers. And when the young quarterback is one thing playing defense with Kirk cousins and Adam Phelan and Stefan digs and Kyle Rudolph. That's a whole other story playing in their building. So that's gonna be real interesting to see how the bears are able to play and defend this Minnesota Vikings team three one two three three two three seven seven six. Let's get back to some baseball talk to old town Georgia on ESPN thousand eight George. It looks like betting that they're trying to force. The dodgers handle that extra clearance on the payroll, which is I think, you know. Was the master. And I think a fallback of Pollock would be fantastic. If he stays help you what do you think? Yeah. Stephen Pollock healthy is a huge huge situation. You know, if in fact, you got him you could that actually move guy like Albert, Al more. If you're going to cause I still think they're gonna have to move one of those three guys I've been saying that all off season and it hasn't happened yet. So maybe I'm wrong. But I kind of thought they would move either. Now, Mora Ishwar or a half the more. I look at it. It's not going to be Schwarzer. They love Schwarzer. He's like one of their kids one of their little kids their own kids as well. I think it would be either Hapoel more if they did grab a guy. Like Pollock that'd be a completely different story. But you you think the the Harper situation, you don't think there's any changes coming here. Do you? I really think he's he's kind of an LA kinda dude. If you know what I mean? With the hair. Coast to coast. I mean seems like the perfect fit out there. But why not force the hand if we can and try to call back. He get stronger on our end. George. Appreciate the call. The one thing that I think the cubs have gone forms aproach the season first of all they won ninety five games last year. Okay. It's not like they you know, they had an awful season. They didn't hit in the last month earlier. It didn't hit in down the stretch, and they need to figure out why. And it's so it was so much fun. Watching the ball, very rarely say this.

"Friday baseball twins in Oakland A's, eight thirty three game five first patriots last night. We were going to Glenn Caruso. But we were inundated with weather reports from tornadoes to flooding freeways and everything else. We moved into tonight. Now coach we find you, of course on a Friday night lights, go football game. Can you divulge which one it is? Absolutely. I can I'm actually at at Saint Thomas academy watching their their homecoming game vs Phelan three three. And all right. It's pretty good. And as soon as we're done, I'm going to zip back over to the university of Saint Thomas. And watch creatine take on Blaine, which I think is another Reno Reno is three two and one but really good game. So for us to be able to stagger. Those games and catch fourteen that we really like to get kids from pretty fortunate from what do we get for a score right now. So right now, it's halftime coming back out because that's our up over the efforts to nothing. I think it'd be probably would've talked to most people they thought it would have been awash. But Dan, O'Brien is doing awesome. John guys. I mean, the Depres are big and strong and Dan hasn't played really hard. So it's fourteen debts. So you walk. You get there for the pre-game. What what do you? What do you know who you're looking at or many times? Many times you go. Whoa. I didn't have that number circled coming into tonight. I mean, I can't I can't talk about specific. Go into a game and say here's four or five guys from each team who we want to take a look at your little different Mike now than it was maybe when you and I were there because a lot of these guys have been to our campus already. But you know, there's there's two guys that we've just been able to see live, and and it's fun to watch here start here tonight is wall Bogle who is our very first recruit we ever got got inducted into the hall of fame at Saint Thomas, academy young one hundred year all of fame. So it's kind of nice beginning, and you know, circle things around. So we were able to watch him go into the hall of fame be with him during that. And then watch really neat. How football? Yeah. Rightfully so to great player in high school and college, of course, his brothers. Of course, he did boy is grated STI when I had a guy asked me just to the health club. The other day says I got a grandson playing he's a junior he's playing in a big school program. But he's not playing. First team varsity yet anybody wants to play college football someday. What does he need to know? Just gimme a quick. What is it? He needs to know. Well, I think in general a lot of guys nowadays are trying to get themselves. Recruited and the best advice. I would get any kid whether he's an AllState guy or just got his first starting game. Is that the coaches will find any coach worth his salt will find you if you can play at his school? So I think a lot of times they feel like they have to go out and promote. That might be the case with some schools that don't do their job. But if it's a school who really wants you to find your day, I finish every recruiting. Visit we have we have these masters. It's up a hundred recruits over the summer. I tell them the best thing you can do at this point is not worrying about how many followers you got. How many stars behind your name, which is best leader to your team? You can be in a wrestle take care of yourself. You got a weird schedule you've had the BI weekly and that now your non non-conference again. Oh clerks had a pretty good start to the season. They have their undefeated right now. And they have a new coaching staff was in their third season at turning things around. I've college is here now world can't. The end of the box. But the thing that I think they're doing a great job of is as committed to run the ball and play run defense. And you know, they are on the reason why we're playing them in week four right now is because neither of us could find a game. And so we had them scheduled and Rick one we both agreed to move our game to our by week which was week four. So this is actually our by we for the Mayak, which is why we played on last year, you're on the modern and and our plan. Oh, Claire, but after this will get into the rhythm of the regular season. Who what do you see from them? What is it that they do? Well. Well, I think that they recruited to their scheme. Pretty well. So anytime a new coaching staff comes in they wanna teach scheme. It's not easy to just say. Hey, I want to go spread or I wanna go back. I wanna go to a three four. You gotta get the guys. They've Dan coach Larson has done a great job recruiting those top guys. So this is a very, you know, you're looking at it too much that we lost first time we lost a non conference regular season game ever you out. But I thought that coaching staff get a great job recruiting to their system and staying in the game. You know, we're one in nineteen versus regular season conference and similar situation to what they're doing it all Claire I think he's doing an amazing job of making sure his place in the guys that he wants he recruited in Bracho Claire to be in a position to be successful. So anytime that happens your head in the right direction. Are you happy with the evolution of your own team? So far. Yes. But with all due respect to the the first couple of teams, we played I will tell you. This one is a different animal, and this one is going to test different level. So am I happy with where we gone so far? I am. I think we're mature. I think we're at long. And Mars gonna tell us a lot. We'll let you get back. I can hear the background. You got to go to. So we'll have the game on tomorrow..
