"So when the horses come and buy, they dive bomb you. On one side and then pull on the other side or the horse won't go where they go too fast or they become airborne and it's like you're flying a horse type. And the thing is, horses don't really understand the concept of circle, they did not take geometry. And if you really think about what lunging is, you want your horses to be doing tons of things. So they have to be going forward, but not too close to you, but not too far away from you. And you don't want them to turn their head to the outside of the circle because they're going to drag on your lunch line. You want them to look into the circle, but if they look into the circle, they might get too close so they need to keep their shoulders up and their rib cage bit. They need to be going forward but not too fast. They need to be relaxed as they're moving forward. So there's like a whole bunch of different elements to lunging. And I really figured this out to an extreme sense when I was working on teaching my horse to do liberty circles and I was using positive reinforcement training. I love positive reinforcement training or clicker training because it makes me think in terms of micro shaping in terms of breaking things down into little itty bitty steps until both you are in your horse around the same age. And so when I had to think about, okay, I want my horse to go around me in a circle. I had to think, what's the first thing I need him to do? And because I was doing this at liberty, I had to be very specific with how I needed him to do this. So I thought, well, he's standing and facing me right now. And he's really close to me, like I can reach out and Pettis forehead..

Masks or No Masks? Many Businesses Err on the Side of Caution

"But it's co most Brian Calvert found out There's at least one industry still requiring face coverings, no matter what. It seems like a no brainer to this woman. Our industry. It's still Highly recommended. She owns a salon hair, Manny's and Pettis. It's a very intimate close contact service, right? We have no way of social distancing and some appointments run longer than three hours. She's requiring masks for everyone. Other businesses are choosing to do the same and customers. If you go inside any large store around here, the majority of customers are still wearing masks. Even though we know many of them are vaccinated. Every single life is somebody somebody right and I include myself in there that my grandmother died of Covid meet Crystal Monday. She's still big on wearing a mask. Even though she's vaccinated. She knows others feel the same way for several reasons. They don't really know. Which places they can go to safely. They don't know the vaccination status of people. He's even created a website revealing what businesses in her Vancouver BC neighborhood still require masks, she tells CTV. The website went up this past weekend. By Wednesday, she had to pull the sites comment section because just as there is a vocal group still supportive of wearing a mask. There's a very vocal group that feels otherwise. And I had to pull that because people were going in and making false entries. And then, of course, putting harmful content or, you know, calling people sheep, telling them not to wear a mask. Our salon owner realizes some people are ready to ditch the face covering. She's just not comfortable taking any chances yet. I know that there will be a few people that are quite upset about it. It won't be forever. If you still feel strongly either pro or anti mask an important consideration. Perhaps everyone can agree on right now, as we make a transition is good, old fashioned capitalism. Customers can choose where they feel the most comfortable shopping and at this point there appears to be stores that cater to both sides of this ongoing conversation. Brian Calvert. "Is these reinvent himself. He still goes out there and tries to do the things that he can't any longer do. There's no more showtime kicking anthony. Pettis you probably fall the cage now and that's no disrespect to pet is. It's saying that you're getting older. You have to figure out what you can and can't do now and that's why say needs to go home. Is it over. i don't know but mentally. He has understand that my body is not going to cooperate like a used to. I need to reinvent myself and he has not done that yet. So we need to take some time off to figure it out. Otherwise he's gonna end up like roy jones and just a huge losing streak and then people as washed up even though you just explained. He's supposed to murderers row of fighters and at one time was on the wheaties box. The only unified on wheaties box still many other combat sports athletes on like marvin hagler wheaties box or anything. I don't know. But i'm just definitely only ama fighter who's been one. Yeah he's not would imagine. Yeah i was gonna say i'm gonna leads probably mohammed. He's been on a few times. I think they even came out with one when he passed away compared him commemorative one. He's been on it a few times I'm sure there's been olympians in the past. But i can't think of any off the top of my head. I like the roy. Jones comparison anthony pettis also started a like his own business like his own agency. So maybe he's being pulled in a thousand different directions when he's not fighting declares the shields was she ever on the wheaties. Box just googled it. And there's a photo of it. But i don't know if it's real or not i don't recall. She should have been two time. Olympic gold medalist. Legs you really should have. Yeah it's a fan made one. I think someone complained about her. Not being on it and then made their own back to this question. I would love andy pettitte tour and into that and welterweight division. that's just exciting fights. That's all that's just man is versus. Well start by giving pedestal. Murderers rose like oh pettus versus douglas. Lima let's do that. She's not one either daily they hell. Yeah wanna see that. These are fights. Just i wanna see. Just i don't i don't fault him for going to pf l. You wanna see him ability as a fan. You looked at atlanta wealth ways. You like shit. He can fight there. And i'd love to watch every single one of those fights he could headline whatever. Now it's like you know you lose collared. It was like all right what that would. Hey i'm sensing the mcclay. Kara disrespect here. Once upon a time that would have been preposterous to think they klay collar could beat. Anthony is now. It's like every peasants come down to earth. So it's like part time boxer. Amazing run in the bubble. I really think kind of factor. No one's really talking about 'cause you don't really it's hard to. It's hard to kind of talk. Sorry but the the bubble pf l. got really strict bubble. And i've heard that complaint. I mean it just how it is but like like you see essentially has no bubble you know so fighters kinda come and go and the have been dropping out especially in the past with a ufc but has been very strict. It's like two or three week bubble. Hurry just sucks. So i heard pet is kind of like another fighter saying it really just mentally drained them and just made it very difficult defy and they didn't bite their best but the all went on. They all had to go to the same circumstances. It wasn't the unfair advantage over someone else. But it'll be interesting saying pets kinda back in this kind of non pandemic version of pet pet is where you can just kind of train. Regular of his coaches kinda. Maybe just be more mentally there and yeah but the thing just didn't work out for dance your guys questions. Mohammed ali has been on the wheaties box twice in ninety nine and two thousand twelve. Max baer was on it. Who jack dempsey. Ken norton boxer those boxers. Yeah yeah they're all boxes that's what they're all box bags. Bear fought like the forties. Like us obvious. Obviously it's b it's b. e. r. And then obviously jack dempsey and kenyon you guys go. Oh so colds. Even the stone cold. Steve austin's also been on the ways. He came up with his hands behind his back putting himself nose-to-nose him which he felt broke conduct. I according to stevens. He felt that he didn't cause concussion. Where this art push that day. I felt that close wasn't ready Citing other interviews where close was switching in dealing with injuries. Stevens felt like it was a was. Bs in just a bunch of excuses so casing. I talked about this when it first happened but andres just quick thoughts on the jeremy stevens truecar close situation and these fair downs. These guys getting close each other and using as an excuse to push somebody but it does get kind of a out of control and i can understand the invasion of personal space but yet to do something about it then right. I don't know if this was your car. Close looking for a bailout at it but it sounds like it right. you know. It was a lot of things going on his camp in my buying. Steve is excuse for pushing him. Yeah actually i am. I understand why he did it. How many people get pushed these wayne's anyway lattes right whose father that was. Apparently it's sean shelve is dana. Blame sean shelby. And how many. How many shows are there. Been when data whites there. Lots right more than sean shelby's like wants to show. How many how many cars have there been. I'm gonna say like once a show. You know sean. Shelby is a what one hundred thirty pounds and dana white's like that. It's it's stupid. But i understand what jeremy stevens is saying about personal space like somebody gets face like that. I'm pushing now. I get it. I don't agree with it. I think you should conduct yourself better. I think you shouldn't push fighters especially the day before fight. I don't think he should but his his explanation. You know what. I have to think about this. Where do they call these. What is what does this. It's gonna face off. It's kind of face off. Doing what is what is jeremy. Stevens nickname will. They go live until he came out to real motherfucking. Jeez he's a gang. I have. I have to look at the history. Jeremy stevens face offs is see. How close it is. It is always like that. I remember when a hand barau got off the scale and he was literally adjusting his pants like tying his like sweat and looking and he was looking down and he he didn't even see germs. Germs even shoved him away because hammer. Our wasn't paying attention at german. And even having browser the hell was that economy is always gets aggressive was always recant mustang. Because now remember these things okay. Yes they hadn't barral thing. Yes but i still is not justified. Not i mean you just can't you can't just like that like you. Shut the hell out of there. Yeah yeah he did elbow shove right here in the shoulders when you're flat-footed and your hands are busy behind your back. That's kind of f you up especially a freshly dehydrated drug cartels. This isn't like hours later when they're rehydrated and like they're ready and they're kind of position then you get a shot but it was just like you know and and do clark close may not be. Everyone's favourite fighter. But he's still a tough m. Effor silly he was like boiling top fifteen lightweight and all of a sudden people like he's a web they know like he's humanity fancy because he also went to the pi and got tested and he was messed up. That's that's crazy. They still can't fight because it was like a whiplash. It was a whiplash effect whiplash and basically concussion. Who's paying for that. That's the bit again like we talked about this at ton when it happened so it was like the story of the week. If you come to my house and you slip and fall right and you crack your head. "By you. Well, you know, any time I could take a shot today, issuing? I'm not. I'm not gonna miss that one. Dante Pettis is somebody whose name has come up in the last couple of days, and you've been particularly pleased with the way He's been playing. What is it that you wanted to see from him this year? And what is it that you have seen so far? Well, I really wanted to see how much he prepared before get in here and usually can tell that just by how how the guys run and really how they look right when they get back and I'm just getting with Dante right away. He came in my office The first day I got back. I just got to sit down for a little bit of talk and catch up and you could just tell looking at him that he had put the work in the weight room the way he was talking and you could tell he was a lot more confident and he was ready to show us that he put in the work. And as soon as we got out there, you could see just waves coming off the ball getting in and out of his cuts. Just says his mentality that I think started with work. Um and then you could see it go over to the field that I think he's had a lot more confidence coming in, and hopefully it'll pay off form the share. I'm gonna stay with wide receiver spot. Trent Taylor having him back. Must be nice. Yes, that's been huge. I mean, Trent thing has been pretty documented. How good of a camp you had last year, and it was just such a huge blow for us. When he got that injury and gets you know and get in the number of surgeries. He had to get with infections. He was fighting and I know how long the road back it's been for him. And you know, he's looked throughout this whole camp exactly where he left off before he got hurt. So We want to get him back into football shape. Have him do all this stuff. But it's kind of Ah, slight camp so miserable for me right now, because I'm constantly I'm either constantly upset that we're not getting enough work and then we need to prepare more. Or, um, upset that I'm Having the guys working, giving them chances to get hurt. So, so it's a very uncomfortable time for me right now. So I'm trying to get the guy's better. But I'm also like tell him to go hard and I'm pulling him back every second. So it's Trance, one of the guys that he looks good, and we want to keep him working. But within about a week or so, I'm gonna have to really, really just focused on getting the weak one. Don't be so hard on yourself, man. It's a zoo just kind of a lose lose situation. So my wife keeps asking. What's wrong. I'm just I got just can't make right decision. No matter what happens until you get the week on, Yuri. They're all healthy or you're not ready to go. So we'll see which one happens. You know, Coach I thought one of the amazing moves of the offseason was you guys getting Trent Williams? Who I kind of think of. It's kind of like a Walter Jones. You know, just the guy. I was just awesome. Just have Hall of Fame trajectory. How's he looking out there as you looking like a guy who's a borderline Hall of Famer. Oh, yes, definitely. I mean, Trent was you know when we went to Washington now that that was our first pick when we're out there and you know Trina's eyes talented oven alignment as there is on, you know, you could see that when we're with him our first year's rookie year and got four years with him and just to be with him now, seven years later and him Be out of football last year and a half. It's mean nothing's changed. I believe this guy could play three technique on a pick up basketball game. He could play any of the five positions even point guard, he says. He's got that type of athletic ability. But was cool about. Sharon is just how much he likes football. He's a physical guy who likes to get out there and mix it up. I think he's going to use to how we practice how we do things. It's been a while since he's been in this type of tempo for practice. He's getting really good football shape, and it's been really fun to watch him and both go at each other every day because you got two freaks talent wise, but she also got two very smart players are technicians and It's pretty cool to watch each one of them adjust after it's now, coach. I'm sure you've seen this football players way overrate their basketball bidding on the way overrated. Dude, I'm good or not. You're not that good. You get it all and that If the bucket were bigger, you'd be better try. Uh, Kim. I don't know. I don't disagree, but I did. I wouldn't tell him where to go and pick up games. When when you can't fell out and stuff are our guys do Alright, Right. I say it's just don't Don't Don't football players play basketball like football players? That's it. They're not athletic, but man. When, when? When they start to put their hands on you. It's just like, okay. Do we can't do this man? Because we're not. I agree. Basketball into more long guys. Let us hand check and wait. Then we've got a chance to wear when we used to play pickup ball. Coach and football players showed up. I said, I'm out amount. Just leave. You can do it..

Leaves First With Ken Druse

"So yes, oh, foliage so I, if not for the leaves and I have to say with as dry as it's been here, I. Don't know if you're as dry. It's a little tricky to keep all the big leafed things that are my particular obsession. Happy so. Leaves. What's your thing in foliage in Y, Y foliage? Maybe you should. Tell everybody why we're both leaf obsessed. There's so many reasons I'm. Leave obsessed because I love the way you put it in an email to me. I'm sixty percent son. At best so it's kind of a shady garden and some things. A lot of things flour in the shade, but. It's not the big showy flowers so I depend on the foliage and the foliage last three seasons flowers, sometimes flowers have leading. US maybe it'll flower. The longest two weeks would be incredible something flowering. There's so many things in the garden that flower for a day. They don't call them dailies for nothing you know. Yeah but I love the color and the texture and the form, and the mass of and putting it all together, having something, tall and skinny with dark green leaves and something, fat and round and bushy with lots of texture, and when I look at the garden, it's so incredibly colorful, and there's not a flower incite and I've got that for months right. Right so I don't know where we want. It began about time big boys. Voice I you know I don't even know. I. Suppose it began with a plant that maybe I wish I'd never started growing which was for sale at a local nursery. Several decades ago when I first started gardening here, Pettis, it's ex hybrid est it's not actually japonicus. It was sold to me as Japonicus, but it's petty site. It's a a Butterbur I guess it is from Asia. It's big, tall thick stems that hold up a very large, very very large leaf, a couple of feet, few feet across green. It's just green, but it looks very sound like something you'd find in the rainforest. Rainforest or something so very bold, almost tropical feeling and I brought home a pot of it a million years ago and put it in a spot in the backyard and It's a very aggressive plan. It turns out and again this is decades ago. Who knew whatever and so? I have to kind of trench around it or we'd around it to keep it from going sideways everywhere, but so I have this big circle. Circle of it in the backyard we love, and so I suppose that that was one and around the same time that got me addicted to the big leaves, and at the same time, a former botanic garden that's we used to be part of the new. York Botanical Garden the Kerry Arboretum. It was called at the time. The carry institute now of Ecosystem Studies, which is about forty minutes away from here but it. It was on I was weekend. Gardener and it was on the drive was I passed it on the way, and I saw the plant sale, one Friday and I stopped in, and they had two plants that were in their garden. astroboy ladies, which has very big leaves in the shade and Jersey. A-. A cousin of it also brought home pots of those, too. So I think that's where my craziness began bigger, the better. All My life knowing you. I thought that these were intentional things. "He's talking to all of us that we all should be examining ourselves. Pettis especially talking to that second group, and he says if we go on sending deliberately after receiving the knowledge of truth. They're no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful tation of judgement and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. WHOA That's really fearful. That's the word he uses that as fearful but he he wants us to feel this urgency. He wants us to feel uncomfortable because he's trying to. Give us a correct view of God. Sometimes when we're in church and we're glorying in the truth of the Gospel so much, we forget. The reality for those who do not accept the Gospel, and that is a fearful expectation of judgement. Then he goes on to make a comparison, so he says anyone who set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses. that is from deuteronomy seventeen, where it's talking about somebody who very deliberately very purposefully rejects the law of God and in the law. The Israelites were given. The command that they were to kill that person who? The Israelite going turned his back on. So he says if that was true in the old covenant. How much worse punishment do you think will be deserve by the one who has spurned the son of God and his profaned the blood of the Covenant but he was sanctified, and has outraged the spirit of grace. So he's using this comparison again that if the punishment was bad in the old, covenant. Because Jesus so much better that that ramps up the expectation that if you're going to trample on the son of God. Don't think that you are going to avoid. The same. Fate that the person in the old covenant would. Would come to. And, of course he is not here. Telling Christians to go out and stone. Somebody who turns away from the he's saying God. God's got it. That's actually the very next section he says. Verse Thirty. He says for we know him who said vengeance is mine. I will repay and again the Lord will judge his people. These. Quotations are from Deuteronomy thirty two. and. It's in reference to. These other nations who follow other gods and those gods are not going to save them that God is going to take vengeance on those who oppose him. So what the author of Hebrews is saying as if you turn your back on God you have put yourself in the category of those who oppose him. And, the only thing that you can expect is judgment. So. "We've arrived at it. It's a ballot and I'll have to give it to you in Centigrade. I'll let you do the conversion I can I can do. The emergent is somewhere between thirty nine and forty degrees. C is the upper limit for equator exposed. To thirty nine to forty degrees centigrade for more than an hour the viability and within her is going to go down if it drops below about. I think it's eight or eight to ten degrees C. So even on the low end eight Tennessee which is about not much below fifty Fahrenheit. Eight to eight to ten degrees centigrade. The sperm viability can be damaged by the cold. We've got an upper limit of thirty nine to forty Centigrade. And we've got a lower limit of eight to ten ten degrees C and that's only an hours worth of exposure so it's really narrow. There's a fairly new window when they're completely safe. We had we had a shimmer. They got cold in July of Kim. It got to eight degrees being shipped in July in the US. So so how did that happen? Not In Ohio. I hope I can be on the air. What we assume it was in the airplane. It was something about when the airplane was at thirty thousand feet. They didn't quite regulate the cargo. Hold well enough and to the only explanation because we also put two thermo couples in every time to make sure we're not getting false reading this tract the same it needs. Yeah is it true reading? Wow eight degrees. Wads cold eight degree. Eight degrees C O Celsius. I think it's about in the low forties. I can't always do the direct conversion sixteen sixteen to sixty one. That's an easy one. That's easy to remember sixteen sixty one and Zeros. Thirty two zero three. That's that's about as good as I get right there. And that's all post-meeting right any any research into pre meeting stresses on the con- viability..

"All right now? This is the hall but their brother. It'd be their brothers store. Career Joe's has just announced their version of plant based Burger. They're calling them protein patties and the box. It looks pretty much like the beyond Burger packaging like the almost exactly the same just with with their own name on it It comes What has eighteen grams of protein made from a blend of protein sunflower oil beats and seasonings and for the package which which comes with two? It's a four dollars and forty nine cents which I believe is significantly cheaper than beyond so I thought why don't we try them. So I went to trader Joe's to go get them and and I did not come back with them. The stats are crazy. High Two hundred ninety calories a patty and twenty grams of fat. That is very high. Weren't aren't they calling them. Protein patties. It should be called Fatty Pettis. No seriously I have to say like I. I would have tried them so I think we should try them. But I don't understand. Like I am a big proponent of plant based Patties I've been eating the Boca patties and the Morningstar patties forever and I thought they were amazing. Doing what I love the most about the original Boca patties. They were seventy sometimes eighty calories. They tasted a lot like burger. There were very low in fat. All all of these new patties are there just loaded with fat and a lot of them with saturated fats. And I don't quite understand why I think they just trying to add so so much fat and flavor and intern calories. They're just trying to fool people into thinking. This tastes as rich as full. Fat Fatty Fat. Now they call them like the bleeding patties. Is there supposed to be like juicy like real burgers. How many calories are in our normal hamburger probably around the same as a lot of these impossible burgers depending on how thick the Patty is? But they're pretty thin. Kim I mean if you go to a restaurant with a big thick burger your pet. He's going to have a lot more but these are not gigantic patty so I would say typically I. I'd be shocked if there was more than three hundred calories and twenty grams of fat in a thin Burger. I honestly think less because think about it even regular ground beef. What to fifty to sixty four ounce portion Kevin probably yeah? I don't know it's upsetting but we'll try. You've ruined everything. Mike Saving the day by not making your try it and now you want it thank you. You're very thoughtful and I know that if there was peanut butter involved in some way we'd be eating those patties right. I found out that it's not today that this podcast airing today that we're recording it. National Peanut Butter Day. What wow law? I hope we get to celebrate Pyotr. You can have more all right. We're GONNA jump into the Aldy Hall. We love all the all. The is a sister store to trader. Joe's I don't know if you have an all near you. I feel like it's even more inexpensive offensive than trader. Joe's there are some fun cool things. What are some of those dickey things? I don't get to go to all these as much as So everything that they have. That's it's their own brand. Looks like the real stuff. So like frosted flakes looks like frost. The other version looks like frosted flakes are. I'm trying to think of some of the healthiest like their their protein. Eighteen bars mirrors and what about checkout again. There's something crazy right so checkout you you have to bag your own groceries. Jamie thought it was kind of funny. Aw I thought it was weird. Because she's putting everything into our cart and I'm thinking if I just open a bag and put it in the car. She's doing the same amount of work. Oh she won't put it in the now we have to take Out of a cheese but she picked up each item and put it in our card so I just wanted to be like. Here's a bag of weight. And so so wait. She won't let you just take it has to. I put it in the car and then you have to go to. Mike said No. You have to go to the bagging station and I think it's efficiency because there are things that go through that line really fast. So I think it's an efficiency thing was inefficient. Whatever it is? They're able to sell things very inexpensively. Mike actually has received today so he may rattle off just how inexpensive some of these finds are truth be told I had nothing to do with picking these products out. They were brought to me. I am being surprised with all all of them sometimes and fake it. I'm sorry like a lot of more new but some of the things we have to talk about this so we did a good job. I hope you did

"Odds. It's probably as they get worse. You know throw going three to five. I would say they'll probably hang a three three and a half is pretty standard for cormie fights as he is usually usually in championship main event fights for that five around duration so i would say it's probably right around three and a half <hes>. I'm not going to get involved. Both of these guys you know they can put the lights gourmet. That's the fact and you know nobody has really been better in that transition game of of pulling off stoppages in really winning the fight pillar to post if it went to a decision or if it didn't got finished along the way so i'm not gonna probably be getting involved in this either way from a betting perspective as the current prices but you know from a pig perspective man and you're never gonna get me to bet against a new corey unless he's fighting one john jones and that's the stance at i'll take on this one as well all right so we definitely have a lot to look forward to here in the main event now of course be pulling for steeping. Maybe i'll put i don't know maybe i'll put the emotional hedge on cormet here in this one but we've got some very good fights on the card otherwise anthony pettus and nate diaz pedestal right now minus one thirty favourite over at the sl. What are you thinking about this fight here christian yeah making his return polarizing guy and polarizing figure in the sport hasn't fought since the mcgregor series back in two thousand sixteen march fifth and august twentieth and you know if you kind of take those out of their <hes> the last wind comes in other take away his mcgregor win but it is what it is last wins have come in two thousand sixteen in two thousand fifteen nate diaz because of who he is is in the persona that he brings to the table largely gets a pass when it comes to the tactical version of it being mixed martial artist. "Each and every day. Maybe you're driving to work. Maybe you're working out. I've heard i've heard that's good for you. <hes> but we appreciate you appreciate you subscribing reviewing supporting the podcast <hes> we're gonna start. Today's show with some the more week one preseason takeaways. I also teased on the twitter. First time this is this is breaking ground for the fancy esi footballers the first time in history now to be fair to be fair. I'm going to set the table for this. We did our my guy episode the annual show where we plant the flag. These are the three players that we love. We have confidence in these players this episode the past three years this is where we say to do your football draft which is right around preseason week three. We've had more time to assimilate the information just due to scheduling and the fact that we could do this in front of a live crowd. We were like okay. Let's go. Let's do this thing live early august knowing there's a little bit risk so far i mean it's been sensational for me me. Robinson news continues to be glowing. News has been outstanding feel great about that. There is one particular feller that the news is not been so so gray on the last three years we did the show on the twentieth twenty second the thirty first of august and so i am making a formal i i've pivots. I'm rescinding my guy tag from dante pettis now. Let me don't hear what i'm not saying. I don't because he's not a guy. There are three three my guys every year. The mike said flag-planting guys you have ultimate confidence in just because understanding that tag from dante pettis this morning does not mean that dante pettis. It doesn't have the potential to break out. He was a hundred percent picked on the basis of his talent and the plays he's made on the field. He'll twenty seven career receptions but right now. My guy does not return punts in the preseason. My guy does not have to still earn a starting spot in the middle of august and that's the situation him for dante pettis who was not on the field for preseason game one jimmy garoppolo george kiddle seven coleman who was dante pettis and he was there for a while and you know what seventeen snacks and kyle shanahan came out afterwards why was dante pettis out there because we're trying to figure out who are starting wide receivers and the some of the people that have been around the forty niners camp of said. It's been a rough camp for dante pettis. He's not winning fifty fifty balls and he should have established himself yourself by now. That's all i'm saying. That's why it's being rescinded. He could still break out and for those of you that went out and drafted him in her seven 'grats. That's fine. Yes one hundred hundred percent. I still like dante pettis where he's drafted. Obviously i would hope you still like him to. You're just taking the confidence of saying. This is one of my three players. I'm fully one hundred percent confident and taking it away. I still think he emerges as the number one wide receiver target for the san francisco forty niners. I think he's talented. This could be very big motivational tactic tactic being used because i think that he's been playing soft and that's not what shanahan wants. Shanahan wants him to go out. There like a killer. Grab the balls especially especially the fifty fifty dollars. There's been twice in camp where there's basically been able to -ception to dante. Pettis were a defender has come and i don't know if it would be considered a fumble or interception asian but ripped the ball out of his hand. This belongs to me and so i think this is really a motivational tactics saying look. If you're going to be the guy you have to go out there it just you you know man old school football and go you know he's still has. He has to do that now to earn that spot he has to do it willy do it. Maybe he's it's not a lot of competition there but that's based off of the condos and yes dante pettis i have i have not adjusted dante stats yet now as things go along we do we update our our stats all off season in the ultimate draft kit but as of right now he's.

And the reason being daytonas Daytona the beach was there before anything else, it just kind of move that tradition move from the beach over to the speedway and all that history, southern five hundred because it's Darlington, and that was our first superspeedway as far as you talked to, to the buck bakers in the league Pettis and the guys that I grew up with that were retired by the time I come along, but Darlington was still the place for them. But the Coca Cola six hundred. And when you think about it is the only six hundred mile race that any. Any group runs out your loan? This not classified as an endurance racing doesn't take multiple drivers. Mean it's sports car racing. If they run for that many hours, it's multiple drivers IndyCars. "Stephen Thompson, Anthony Pettus, maybe you've tipped your hand a little bit here talking about how much you like Stephen Thompson. But also minus four thirty five minus four forty over at DSL sports because we're recording this on Wednesday afternoon. Stiff price to pay here for the favorite. Yep. It really isn't Thompson again coming off the Woodley trials and tribulations had an injury. Look to me again. I know I take a little bit of a different stance when it comes to fighters that I really love to get behind this Stephen Thompsons of the world, the tyrant woodley's of the world. And you know, casual fans hate there. Style. It's incredibly boring, you know, Sergio Pettis degree there's but the thing about it is these guys have built their games. And if I would like in this to, you know, Floyd Mayweather, again, the the repeating thing that you will always hear me talk about his fight IQ. Tyron Woodley usually has the best fight IQ. Stephen Thompson, in my opinion, has the second best in all of mixed martial arts Daniel Cormet, probably number one prophesied those guys two and three now that I think about John Jones. It's certainly in there in terms of the style of fight that they dictate in what they do. But Stephen Thompson much like Woodley outside of whose men, and we talked about that one's particular who's been just may do what what he does better push higher pace when you point fight like this pace is always going to be the issue. Because again, when you're not being a high volume striker, you can you know, the fans are going to boot that can get into judges head in that really is what costs even Thompson against der until regardless. I still believe again. Maybe that's just the fan in me or the better in me at that point that he won that fight. If he didn't get knocked down in that final round. He would have won. A clear decision. And I understand that you have to do is trying to push till up the ladder, and they did not want to have another Stephen Thompson. Tyron Woodley, you know, quote, unquote, boring snooze fest. But this is Stephen Thompson. He's going to do exactly what he does in that octagon in my opinion. He's a world renowned kickboxer the best, you know, top three fight IQ in the game in whatever you do best. He takes away Lithonia Pettus at this stage of his career. Why is he such a big underdog here? He's in this for the love of the game. At this point, you know, much like an Anderson Silva, he's there to put on a show for his fans in kind of go on his shield make his money while he can in this sport. And I don't think there's a a title run left in him by any stretch of the imagination. And this is two guys that the casual fan will certainly understand..

"Us. Check, Dante Pettis lake and Tomlinson. Fred Warner and western rich Berg. So that's that's the list you feel good after eating those names off. I do not. I feel good about some players. I think that Matt Brita call us, Jack and Goodwin. I feel good about them. I think Goodwin had just a shit year this year, and we didn't put on there, which we added to the list, but not to this list cancer. I think has to go into this tear out of basically contract effectively. I think he lands in here. I don't know. I think there's an argument to be made probably that no running back should be in this year. And that there are all either tier three or tier five, but we won't make that argument today. I think you've got to use them in. Yeah. I think it makes probably most sense for him to to be at the spot, even though really his one massive salary cap era is already come and gone with with nothing out of it. And and we're kind of left here. So I think this is kind of the the big thing for me. And we talked about this a little bit last week where they kind of thought that this was the big story, right? Was the tier four and the number of players that are into core. This is the other side of that coin, right? Where it's effectively a lot of players that we thought were going to be kind of core pieces on the next good forty Niners team. The next good the next playoff team that they were able to put together we would look back in like these. We're going to be some of the core pieces. Now, I think even if you identify these ones here like you don't feel good about that being really like the core of your roster right to surround your top and players. I mean, you're looking at three running backs in there. Cheerier lineman say what worries me about this tier is not necessarily the quality of the players. It's the complexion of the positions that make up this tier? And I love Matt Breda, obviously, if you've listened to us for a long time, you know that I'm not I'm not shy about my love for math Breda. But I I would be remiss if I didn't mention that he is a running back. And there's a reason that Jeff Wilson he most looked good at times this year. And that's because this system is very running back friendly. And I think that you can find other map breeders that skill set is not necessarily so rare. And so valuable that that, you know, I'm not so naive to think that if you were to go get picked up by someone else where we would cut him or whatever that the team would be in the lurch at running back, right and same thing with fullback in us. Check that I think is what worries me is that you've got some positions in here that aren't really valuable for football. Whereas I would love to see a better complexion of this roster where you have some edge pressure in tier two you've got I'm glad that we have. A couple of wide receivers in here. But that you have a cornerback or two in this meter so again, not a single defensive player. Fred Warner's your loan defensive player. And honestly like I think there's an argument that that he's probably go to your four. Right. I think that we could potentially look back next year at this time in realize that we made the same mistake with Fred Warner that we did with whether spoon in some of these other players who are now tier four players..
