"Completely changed the sound of it dime at a different vogel's ultimately like in late eighty six and turn it more into just a a solo print which is what he did obviously with a lot of sign of the times material before it was finally released after the eighty five eighty six timeframe songs are often i written and recorded and Oh yeah that'd be got the shipped bone remix off site time so we already had like three different versions of strange relationship on that super deluxe edition. So maybe even if they had on earth the eighty three version. They probably figured that's one two many. Yeah maybe hold that one back. Yeah i enjoyed the pettibone remix. I've definitely seen some dissenting views about that. Just around on social media and stuff. I don't think. I don't think it's an improvement. But i think it's interesting to hear this song that is so uniquely prince and unique even even in mean definitely it. Sounds like a print song but it does it but it doesn't sound it. Sounds different right. It's a pretty unique kind of all of the wonky stuff with the base that he's doing and all of that it it's a it's a very unique original kind of feel so he then you hear shep pettibone do his. Shep pettibone thing with it. You know it sounds much more kind of like a conventional club mix. You know i. I don't think it replaces the original version but it's definitely interesting to hear and and it's sort of. It's fun to hear iping. Yeah yeah i don't. I don't not upset that we got it. It's not my go-to version right. We got it for sure. I like both versions the eighty-five version and the the you know the final eighty-six version the version runs a little long. You know it's it's not edited down to a nice manageable length. Not that a lot of print songs go away long. I mean that's pretty common thing especially with vault material you'll find eight nine ten minute songs in the vault bright So it doesn't bother me but yeah this that song eighty five maybe could have been a truncated slightly just because it starts to drag on with the music bear for but but this versions precinct solid four minutes Doesn't really waste any time getting into the lyrics and it kind of stays in. Its in its lane for most of the songs length. It doesn't do a lot of different things except for maybe towards the very end you get some weird synth sounds. I do like the song overall even though the lyrics are bit troubling which. Hey i mean you volunteered to be on the song music. What what are your overarching thought..

He gathered everybody around him but i remember he just woke up and he said he will up in sweat which ensure look sweaty So yeah that was an event that happened. I mean he he dreamt it as it happened. Do you remember what year this was. I think it was around. Nineteen fifty fifty one or something like that. I remember i went up to want to montana. Maybe about nine years ago for a class reunion and Off the horse damn right now. They have kind of a public area. People can go in there and read old newspaper articles and so forth and i asked the lady that was working there. I told her about my father's stream and she says oh. Yeah that oh yeah. Yeah and she showed me. They had old newspapers there and she showed me in the newspaper. Showed the guy's name and all that you know 'cause i don't know what his name was and this and that he lived. I think he lived in cal- spell which is the nearest town. They didn't have your father's dream in the paper right. no no and then and then there was another. There was another dream that early on when they built the dam. The tunnel had already been built and construction ongoing on the damn. They were pouring cement and things like that. It was a work in progress and But earlier early on the engineers had studied the the mountains the mountains structure the rock structure before they ever started building the dam. "Of the night with the line every breath you take every move you make in his head. He sat down at the and had it. Written in half an hour another one is purple haze by jimi hendrix which he said was quote all about a dream i had that i was walking under the sea unquote and the lyric skews me. While i kiss the sky was said to refer to a drowning man busting through the water surface to fill his lungs with air many of the composers writers and inventors talk about waking up in the middle of the night and writing down or composing their creations in an incredibly short amount of time. Almost like they were channeling it rather than writing it or maybe just remembering it from the dream speaking of inventors. If you've ever wanted to invent something you might want to consider turning to the dreamworld for ideas if you do you'd be in good company with people like albert einstein. Aristotle descartes thomas edison and salvador dali. These people all regularly turned to their dreams for ideas and answers to problems. Thomas edison would sit in a chair with a steel ball in his hand with the intention of drifting off into that twilight period known as the hip negoti state which is when we're right between and dreaming. He kept the ball in his hand. So that when he sank deep enough into sleep his hand would relax and the ball would hit the floor boom waking him up so that he could remember and record whatever information he received in that inbetween state similarly salvador dali held a key in his hand and kept a plate on the ground so that when he drifted off deeply enough the key would clang as it hit the plate waking him up and giving him conscious remembrance of what he had accessed in. The hip hypnotist state. Another famous discovery was in eighteen. Sixty five when the german chemist frederick kukui dreamed of snake biting its tail revealing to him the true structure of the benzene ring which he had been working on trying to figure out for a while and in eighteen. Forty five elias. How was trying to invent a machine. That could so but he couldn't figure out how to get the needle to pick up the thread on the other side of the cloth. Then he had a dream that cannibals were chasing him with spears and at the head of each spear was a whole he had been using the traditional model of a needle with the hole in the end but he'd been placing the whole at the heel of the needle not the head. This dream image gave him the idea to place the whole at the head of the needle and thus the sewing.

"Wow, yeah I guess we talked a lot more than I thought we would I. WanNa ask you one more question if it's okay. Have you ever had any drains that weezer psychic dreams or even just any dreams that stand out to you that you wanNA share I feel like I haven't had any dreams in the last five years that are any big deal They're mostly about the books I read but in the old days I used. To have a dream, but it only would happen once a year a I would go I'd be in a car driving and it was with pals and it was be really late at night and I pull up to the beach and there'd be this huge bonfire and everybody's kind of dressed up like Halloween different costumes, and there's music playing and I get there and you don't know who anybody is, but you just join him because the. Good and the fighters going and the stars are out and it just feels good. Just get on the sand and start dancing, and this one figure comes to me all the time and it doesn't have a mask done it always my dad. And I don't know what that was about and I honest I haven't had it for five years, but I've had every year. You know once a year for thirty years and it was just something that i. don't know what that's all about. Did, you notice the day or the time of year that happened would that be the same like widowed always happen in the fall or in September whatever. No, but it was always on the beach with the big fire. So it would have to be summer fall I would think yeah but we never talked or or you know what I sent back kind did that dream feel different from other dream? Well. I. Was always curious why he why we never talked or why he was a my beach party. I. Mean. It wasn't like it wasn't like he was the old man at at my teenage party or anything you know and it wasn't really my party. It was just a party going on the beach you know wasn't but yet I drove a long time with my friends in the car. So I wasn't alone. I don't know and I guess what I was trying to ask like do you think that the dream happened around the same time of year every year or would it happen at random? Times..

"'cause you don't write them all down every time they happened but at that's actually a really good way to validate how often they do happen. Right? Can you share one with me? Oh Gosh. Sure. Let me think well, one I had just a couple years ago. I live in an apartment. With a garage downstairs underneath the building and has a gate and everything and one morning I had a dream that I was living in a house and the house was being broken into or some guy was trying to break in and he was wearing a uniform like some kind of repair guy like he was with the cable company or something. And as I was in the House I had just moved into this house and I was setting up house and I see this guy through the window and I'm like, oh no, he is up to no good and he's not really a cable repair guy I know that he's goping things out 'cause he's trying to break in the house. He's GonNa try to break in the house and then I went around and quickly tried to lock all the doors and windows and sure enough he starts trying to get in the door and I just know he's up to no good. And he's going to try to rob me and I start yelling getaway your you know what I don't remember what I was yelling but I was yelling at him basically the idea to get away and then I woke up with my heart just boom boom boom hounding. And? That for me at least in the last handful of years has been one of my tells as they call it is been. Associated with psychic dream many many times. But at the time you know when your heart's pounding, you just think I just had a a scary dream. I just need to calm down and so I kept trying to calm down and I looked at the clock and it was like six. Am I was like this is ridiculously early. I. Need to go back to sleep. And so. I, I kept trying to go back to sleep and I just could not shake it. I was like why can't I calm down and finally I thought I'm just GonNa look at my phone and tried to distract myself with instagram or whatever. So pick up my phone and I see I have a text which is unusual to have one that earlier in the morning, but I had the sound off and so. I look at my phone and there's a text from the apartment manager saying really sorry to tell you but it looks like your car's been broken into in the garage. Oh..

"Mom was sent to down to Hollywood along with her sister for them to go to college together and the main reason that her father symptom. was because her father did not want her to marry my dad they always have a conflict going. So mom went down and she would take college classes and whether or not she finish college I don't know but I have heard that used to skip classes and she would play cards and one time she was playing cards and one of the Gals introduced churches, Roy, Rogers and apparently a lot of them were movie stars and so that's how she met some of those people but mom didn't care about that she cared. About their bridge game so she said that she went out and had a couple dates with Roy Rogers and she said that it was it was really fun. But one thing which she did say about him is that he was Kinda boring and he really couldn't write a horse that well. So they didn't they did not further their relationship which was really funny. So and I'm sure the main reason in that all of that was that she probably you know love my dad and had planned on going back to marry him anyway. That's sweet dislikes experiences. Life is interesting. Now we that's so sweet I love that store she turned down a movie star from my grandfather. And, you know what? I've always felt about love me. I've always felt that you can't choose the one you love. When you know my husband I love him to death and I had seven people warned me not to go out with him because he had a bad reputation and he's the perfect person for me and I couldn't stand it. I see him across the you know across the room and you know my heart would just pound. I had no I had no choice. Yeah it was pretty fun..

"I didn't know that Unless we went berry picking if if if we were going very picky so that she could make something out of those berries she was permitted to wear pants. Well, that's an interesting paradox because I also heard from my dad that my grandfather your father didn't like dress codes and when he was an engineer. One of the places he worked required a man to where ty let's say it was probably the nineteen fifties or something who knows maybe. and He loved wearing a bolo tie and he was like, no way I'm not wearing a tie. I'm wearing my bolo tie and he was such a good engineer. They let him get away with. Wow or is everybody else had to wear a tie Haha Yeah. So interesting mix of rebel and you know strict rules for other people also kind of the era I suppose. Yeah. Now you know when he died right he heard the story about when he died. Oh tell that no I don't have that recorded. So yeah, I've heard it from my job. Yeah. Tell that okay. I was eleven and your dad was away school, and so the three of us kids lived at home and the story that I remember is that mom and dad went to bed and like at midnight that night he got mom and said Kay your whole life. Has Changed Drastically you can. You can handle it. You'll be okay you'll be frightful. You're going to be afraid you're you're you're gonNA have you're going to be shocked but there's just some things that you need to know now tonight and so he got her out of bed and he taught her how to write a check because once again she wasn't permitted to write in each at. To write a check, she didn't know if we have a hundred dollars in the bank or a hundred. That wasn't her place. She got an allowance for us for for meals and clothes and activities and everything, and so He went through all the paperwork and then in the morning, my dad was dead and he had had a blood clot that went to his brain. My God. Do they know what caused the blood clot? Well, a he had rheumatic fever as a child and and he had a heart murmur and apparently it was leftover from that. Now. That's the story. You could ask your father, his interpretation because you know he was in college I was eleven right? Well, that's what I remembered something about romantic fever having to do with it. That's why I was curious but that actually ties it all together..

"Right. I mean, I can they find with a bunch of people you know if somebody's chanting or something I can do it. But yeah, the wise. Oh I've got a good one for you haven't thought about for years. Okay. To levitated. a group one, two, three, four, five Scott together once to see if levitation Israel and we did have very, very serious chanting from we did that for a long time and I was the person laying on the floor. You were the one who got levitated. Yes. and. Then when we were really in a really amazing rhythm we said pick her up and the four people each use their two fingers on each hand and lifted me above their head. Oh my gosh fun. I mean we were all it wasn't just you know laughing giggle at this was a true experiment and it was really cool with fund. That is amazing. Yeah. I. Felt like I weighed about a feather weight you know not even a pound. Interesting. If we could actually get a scale or somebody at that point, but then they levitating if there was something under them. Yeah. It's really amazing. Interesting and I remember once you saying that you had a dream after your father passed you had a dream that he visited you or maybe you weren't asleep I dunno well, I'm I'm still not sure. About that one I was in bed in he stood at the end of my bed and he was talking to me but I don't remember anything we had to say or anything. Oh. Was it more like telepathic communication I don't know what that Oh just like you don't have to speak or use words by was maybe mentally communicating something to you. You know what? I don't know I don't remember any conversation. I just remember him there at the end of my bet and it wasn't a dream he was really there. Yeah. So you were okay that was I wasn't sure if you were awake or asleep when it happened. So you were awake when this happened yeah, I had climbed into bed and I was awake. Yes. Do you, remember. Seeing if there were no words to be recalled, did it feel comforting? Did it feel scary? How did it feel? It felt very natural, very warm and fuzzy and I've always felt that my dad and I always had a clash that we were. We always clash and I don't know why. He was extremely strict and you know ran that household like the military. Now, I've spoken to my older brothers and they'd never felt that way but you know come on, you had to be at dinner at five, thirty, five, thirty, one, I remember I was two in this late dinner once and I had to sit by them through dinner with him hanging onto my wrist through the whole meal. You know I was petrified it's weird. Hit me or anything he was just you know like the commander of the House or the captain of the household or something like that I. Don't know if you know this but he never permitted mom to wear pants in his presence..

"I mean he saved just live. Well. So he pulled George out right before the bolt broke. Yeah. Wow. That's pretty amazing. Yeah. They see the psychic mechanism and ISM is often connected to survival so that absolutely would make sense interesting. Yeah. But it also surprises me that. Now that I look back on it, someone with that kind of a brain whatever that brain is that he did fail in some things that I would think that he would not have like I remember he was trying to invent a blinking light so that let's say there's the construction and you want people to know the blinking light up ahead which we have a lot of today, but he take a hand truck. And he attached battery to it with a light in rigged up the wiring which everybody does today for the blinking light, but he could never perfect it to patent it. I haven't heard that when we so the light would go on if if it were connected, the late would flash it. When it was connected to the battery, the light would flash and it would be four. Danger ahead or slow down or you know anything like that but he never really perfected it where where I would think that if he was psychic or something why couldn't figure that out? Maybe it was not his to figure out. You know. This is interesting because my dad a long time ago told me that you know when a truck backs up and it goes B B Yes, my dad told me that you guys dad invented that I don't and I said, well, how come we're not rich than because all the darks us that and he said, well, because he was working for the Parks Department, at the time he invented. So he didn't technically own that invention it. Did you ever hear that one because? No, because then years later I asked him about it and he doesn't remember. Yeah. Yeah. No but it almost seems like the same..

"Here's a great example. I once held a say comedy workshop and the Star student could use her hands to guide her to find a hidden object in the room without fail. She happened to also work as a massage therapist which to me makes a lot of sense as she is someone who's kinesthetic sense is very strong especially through her hands and she also used to be a dancer no surprise there for someone who is very kinesthetic oriented. The study of Saif phenomena is known as parapsychology. Some people who advocate for the validation of side don't like a word paranormal arguing that it implies these abilities are not normal. When in fact, they might just be our original form of communication and very normal indeed at least to a culture that does not override anything intuitive with left brain logic and reason, the word parapsychology is said to originate from the Greek Para meaning alongside and psychology. So it means alongside psychology. It was popularized by J B Rhine in the nineteen thirties to indicate a shift towards experimental methodology and academic discipline akin to the field of psychology. So. In my mind, why can't the word paranormal the interpreted as alongside the normal as in? It's also very normal. This is the way I like to interpret it and I actually love the word paranormal. Now. The word cy originates from the name for the twenty third letter of the Greek bet when I looked it up apparently the symbol for cy which looks like a little rounded pitchfork and originates from Amore angular shape that look like a chicken footprint what I found out is the symbol for cy can be used to represent psychology psychiatry and parapsychology. I also read that the symbol is commonly used in physics to represent wave functions in quantum mechanics. This makes total sense to me as it does seem that psychic information exists in the quantum field but more on that and another episode today..

"The library rather than studying my class subjects, I found a section of books on the occult, and here I started to find some information about some of the more unusual aspects of consciousness psychic abilities, paranormal experiences, and the spiritual world. And yes I guess I went to a bit of an alternative college I. Don't know just any school would have had a section like that in their library maybe they would. But I don't know. If there had been some kind of degree offered in metaphysics or parapsychology I would have pursued it in a heartbeat. But. That kind of thing didn't exist at the time at least not in my school and not to my knowledge if it did exist in other schools and on top of that being interested in anything psychic or paranormal was still pretty taboo. Even today many people think of things like psychic phenomena as woo or out there or nonscientific. Though, say things like there is no evidence. However, the truth is that now there actually is a lot of scientific evidence to support psychic or PSI phenomena. The term CY spelled P. S. "Protesters since at least July 14. Now you need probable cause to two arrested somebody. It's not clear whether these arrests are arrests or detentions. People have been released is not like the walking them up in Guantanamo Bay and leaving them there. There's probably if I had to suggest a theory here is my theory that the feds have been monitoring a group of anti protesters for a long time. They have tape of them, and then they're going on arresting them when they're violating her few at night. Personal accounts in multiple videos posted online for the officers driving up to people detaining individuals with no explanation why they're being arrested and driving off. A tactic appears to be another escalation in federal force deployed in Portland City streets as federal officers and President Donald Trump has said they plan to quell nightly protests outside the federal courthouse and Multnomah County Justice Center that have lasted for more than six weeks. Federal officers of charge at least 13 people with crimes related to the protest so far that crimes related to the protest Their crimes of looting and rioting and violating the law. Others have been arrested and released, including Pettibone. They also left one demonstrator hospitalized with skull fractures after shooting him in the face with so called less lethal munitions. On July 11th officers from the US Marshal Special Ops Group and Customs and Border Protection have been sent to Portland to protect federal property. But interviews conducted by OBP show officers are also detaining people in Portland Street aren't near federal property, Nor is it clear that all the people being arrested have engaged in criminal activity. Well, if they are detained, and then they're released. That does happen from time to time. And when the police detain you, and then they release you, that is not technically an arrest by Supreme Court jurisprudence. Now, what is it? What, exactly Why's all this happening? If you just read that piece, you think? Well, these are peaceful protesters writing. That's all that's happening is peaceful, Peaceful Protesting. Yeah, That's not exactly what has been happening. You have terrorists are attempting to turn. I mean, look at these saves and looking like the defacement of public property. You can see what's happening here. Get that they're having to use tear gas on protest. On quote unquote protesters and looters are flinging objects at the cops. They're firing fireworks, literally firing fireworks at federal buildings. I mean, this is this is not peaceful protest, ng acting th s secretary Chad Wolf said in a statement earlier this week. The city of Portland has been under siege for 47 straight days by a violent mob, while local political leaders refused to restore order to protect their city each night. Wallis anarchist, destroy and desecrate property, including the federal courthouse and attacked the brave law enforcement officers protecting it. Said. Instead of addressing violent criminals in their communities, local and state leaders are instead focusing on placing blame on law enforcement and requesting fewer officers in their community. This failed response has only embolden the violent mob is it escalates violence day after day? D. There's one black officer from Portland who I mean, this is pretty moving stuff. Talked about the situation in Portland, he said. Basically, I want have conversation with some of the people who are protesting, and these white woke jackasses keep coming between me and the people that I'm talking to. And then calling me racist names. There was this. This black police officer from Portland. His name is Jackson. I got to see folks at I really do want change, like the rest of us that have been impacted by racism..
