Robin was all we had a good time boosting each other because a lot of it is a throw him a good idea and he runs with it and then you add up to it and that was your day. That's awesome not as bad. How does your friendship evolved. From just being introduced by elaine boozer to doing these shows together and improving together. And just kind of going down that route in new i would sorta horse around a little bit with my own act. I was in a team for a while. And then when i broke with the team i was looking for someone else to play with because i kind of miss that part of partner back and forth assistance good stuff. It's it's acting. You know. And so i would just leave spots open eight. You wanna come up in richmond. Ninety did he the first few times he would just take over. And i'd sit back and laugh you know and then i'd poke in here little there and then more stay there poking stake and now initiate initiate enron and those are the steps building up. How many shows would you say did with robin. I mean uncountable. it's incalculable and the amount of hours is incalculable. the throckmorton alone one. Four two throckmorton. The formula one is come to a halt the last two weeks. i'm through the first five episodes. I'm enjoying it though for those that have reached out to. Hey that was a good recommendation. It's not a recommendation. Because i've completed its recommendation because i've started and i am enjoying it a lot. I am all right. I'm look let's get to a one thing i wanted to talk about. What happened in my life. did you get your get. Your is shot up again. No this is a different procedure different. I had to have laser surgery in my right eye. Your laser you know. I i had a cataract surgery on both. I remember the which was this. Is going to be one of those squeamish. People are going to be covering their ears. Get me through this quickly Little things from you where we end up with the the is are really a sensitive area for a lot of people. A of people don't like to hear the stories of of things happening to there is. I know this is kind of supernatural. So you got to hear this okay. So i had to have laser surgery. I want any is because a cloud had formed Behind the lens that they had put in which is a common occurrence head. Yeah yeah so basically they go in and clean it up. you know. it's like clean up the surgery. It's pretty simple. They do it right in the office. You know you. You're out but and you know she. She they put the eye drops in your eyes and your eyes. She says you're not gonna feel anything. It's not gonna be uncomfortable. But she right before she starts. You might feel click In the back of your head coach. I don't think so so i would. I'd rather talk about jimmy moreland and troy app key right now so much more and i don't even wanna talk about that and i feel this cloud on the back of my head back. God i hope you took like valium or xanax or something. Be before all of this to really make sure that you were loopy. No i think it didn't hurt. It was just like what's inside my skull back in my skull there was a click steve shop for those of you that here these things and then develop like similar symptoms. I'm sorry i'm really sorry about this. I had no idea what he was going to say. No supernatural click inside your head. We go back to old movies. How about dr strangelove. Absolutely dr strangelove. Peter sellars played three roles. Dr strangelove car named desire right. That's a movie great. Play a great move okay. I didn't even know it was a play on the waterfront. I think it's more of a great brand new movie in movies that were made from. Let's just say nineteen seventy five on. Okay so you know movies seventy five on you. Miss chinatown seventy on because godfather to obviously Okay from from nineteen seventy on. Because you know we are. We do on this. Show live in a world of of kevin's life. Some great movies from from you know from that period on obviously we have so many of the tarantino movies in recent movies. Gimme your godfather number one. Please tell me that. Nineteen seventy and on godfather's number one. Well i you know my favorite or what i think are the greatest movie movies. Aren't they both the same one in the same because my my number one would be would be a miller's crossing recognize. That's not a greater movie then the godfather godfather too so i would put both those ahead. "I think it's great. I am so grateful that i grew up watching what you chaps doing that. That was the cornerstone of comedy for me and growing up and seeing. It's extremely because i was old enough to really laugh and really understand the jokes then to go on and see what everybody did committed. Were humiliated what you have done. What run his done. what. Simon curtis system. It's it's so inspiring. Because that's what i wanted to davis pay a performer. But i didn't have a gag. I always wished that had again. I was about to say when i'm astern as i'm sure you are by young drama. Student sought teenagers hoping to go into some aspects of the performing arts. Us to give advice. I can only say cluster around your friends who have a similar ambition and make your own shows make your own whatever it is and get your friends to come watching because the more you perform even if it's badly to a any kind of paying origins but the more you do it the more you get the confidence and the self belief and the the idea in your head you're allowed to in a because we up watching these glamorous figures you know. I saw peter cook and john cleese on the parkinson show or peter sellars or whatever it might be and they were behind the glass in every sense the idea that one could even tread any aspect of that boards as it were it was just out of sight and slowly because of writing with friends and kind of finding out how audiences behave and feeling that one belongs on the stage. It gives one this fabulous idea that you could be part of that. Huge family of people who are the clowns the The circus and the the entertainers. I was constantly deputising dolls to pay my audience and they always loved every bit of a standing ovation every turn. My mother used to say when. I couldn't get my brother to do..

"Why i love the bomb dr strangelove. That's it was dr strangelove. And i'm doing peter sellars impression of a nazi so take it up with him space. Dear billy lunar had. I totally missed out on this. Whole jeff bezos going to space and that dick shaped rocket which you know he did on purpose because everyone was going to say it was a phallic symbol anyway. So he's like all right. Let's give it a fucking helmet. Lots of people coming. Jeff bezos for his trip to space. The common complaint is that he spent all this money going to space and that money could be used for people who need it. I think this is an uninformed bullshit stance. No really you're not seeing all these homeless encampments first off the amount of money it costs to go to space is one twentieth of the budget. Taxpayers handover to our military to fund research projects to make better killing machines. Okay but they're just saying he could've taken that money given to poor people you telling me. If he didn't use that money to go to space he would have just given it to the pentagon. Or you're saying that his tax money would go towards that. Maybe that's what tax dollars. Maybe that's what you're saying. So for starters. The people bitching are actually funding less productive venture while screaming blasphemy. At the rich guy. We also could just write a check or he could pay the people at amazon better money. Also let's just call a hypocritic fucking hypocrite if you have amazon packages coming into your house. Maybe don't bitch about what the guy does with the money you gave them. They're right there. Ladies gentlemen it is the end of the argument. That is a great fucking point. The amount of people that was shitting on them. That fucking you know myself included. I just pay your employees better. The poor people. They got a park in the middle of the street in. Run the house and run back because they don't have time to do their roots. Not to mention that this was not a taxpayer. Funded launch unlike space x which takes in huge amounts of taxpayer funding to stay operational. When my tests are driving neighbors. Stopped me at the end of my driveway to bitch. About jeff bezos trip as if i give a fuck i brought this fact about space x up and was immediately met with. That's not true. That's what people do. You brought a point that destroys my argument. I'm not gonna take it in. I still wanna be right. It is true bill but truth is apparently whatever you wanted to be these days. All right. Stop pat yourself on the fucking back. Mr so informed fuck. These uninformed pylon opinions their shit. Instagram posts tweets are just as bad as the cable news companies. You've rightfully rightfully been bitching about what you win the argument again all right. I like this guy you made to fucking tremendous points you bitch and about a guy and you fuck by shit from his company and your instagram page is just as dishonest as those news companies. Yes they are saying that to a buddy of mine everybody now like everybody knows how to just take the piece of information that they need and then spin it. harry liked. Chicks are really good at it. My boyfriend is cynical. That'll wear you doubt it's great for if you wanna watch a comedian for an hour shit on things but after a while you need to go get a root beer float myself included. Maybe i was depressed. Because i heard my act on saturday night high built so i only know about you because my boyfriend won't stock. Stop talking about you. And he listens to almost every other day all right. Did i need to know that you had fucking you. Don't watch anything that i do. I get it. You're not a fan all right. I'm here to rant and complain. About how cynical. He is getting ella. It's upsetting because i've been the type of person who is understanding. Okay let's shit on your boyfriend and talk about how great you are and gets excited about life. I try to cheer him up whenever he's down or try to be a lending ear when he needs to vent but if you're positive in excited about life yeah he's gonna wear you down but he seems to have a vent in finds a problem for almost everything no matter how much i try to be therefore him and help is just getting so exhausting he just turned thirty and could be so difficult to deal with and starting to think that he has some kind of mood disorder or anger management issues. All right okay. I see where this is going. Because i am. I was this guy and that's right around when it happened right around thirty am i don't know what to do because it's hard to move forward with someone who is constantly complaining and finds a problem with everything and seems to only worry about himself the way you described this guy you should break up with them. I understand that life has its struggles but he judges and complains about every little thing. It's tiring to be around. And i don't know what to do because he stubborn and difficult. I try to be patient and understanding is best that i can to be fair. He aware enough to know that he can get like this. But i'm tired. I have needs to all right. "That was great. She she actually said zombie ambiance. She really wanted to do the movie because she was going to be. As happy. that's hilarious. That's eighty eight years old man. She's biting some guy's ass. That's looking. I was on the floor. Nights is love how they said that up teeth confine out across the all. That was great. I knew i had a feeling. I knew what was going to have. Oh shit and i'm like. Oh yeah she doesn't have any teeth she's just come in the death he doesn't have any. I saw that. I saw coming. And i enjoy it. No it was good and then the kenya. I don't wanna sound like i'm trying cats in it. I like the cat scene. Because you're a big fan of cats will be cats and then all of the is. That was great. And i did a lot of practical stuff. I mean there was some digital stuff with the blood but a lot of it was practically on the cat. I mean they didn't even have it wasn't a digital puppet and was not because the face and the cat was so hilarious. Because he's like anyway. I i don't know i just sometimes. I'm in the mood for that type of movie. But i understand your your viewpoint. Sometimes we wanna watch orphan. And i wanna get scared and then i don't wanna laugh I mean it's like like like it's okay. It's okay if it's if it's done well and there are movies that controls but it's a little bit bulled. Genres are difficult and the try to blend the bull. Yes is something else. So that's a talented talented filmmakers. That can that's a skill. it really is absolutely 'cause they're also really hard to do. Yeah because if you that's the thing if you take a really dark film like black christmas and you got to really be careful because you don't wanna lose your audience and they didn't that that that police station scene was fantastic. I mean it was awesome. It's let you probably never lighting rig lightened you because you'll be like what the fuck is this movie. Shit get through the first five minutes like turn this shit off. Yeah no but i know. I keep bringing that up and i don't wanna sound. You know you know repetitive. But broken i bring it up because it's a perfect example. It really is because if you think about it such a dark film and it's so well done and it's so creepy and then you have this little part. It's just hilarious. It's really funny. And and the and the cop laughing at the desk and the guy is totally clueless. He has no idea. It's just it's kinda like it's almost. I feel like it's dry humor. Let me say that. That's the other thing. I really am a fan of dry humor. I guess it depends on. What type of were you like to like. I love like. I know you hate napoleon dynamite. I loved it It's all in your tastes are and what makes you laugh and really love dry deadpan. I loved pedro in that. And oh my god and deb. And all the i mean just and that debt is definitely an acquired taste so i am less about will ferrell goofy over the top films. You know ass diana. She'll tell you. I mean some of that either. So yeah i the gist. The more of the just a dry and you know. That's that's what tom. Hanks started his really quirky comedies. And and then he kind of went into more. You know john. Candy type comedies. Where it's very subtle subtle the way. But that i it's that's timing. That's great writing. That's yeah that's a different comedy. Screwball economy is easy to do. But it's difficult to pull off and that's what people don't realize they look at it at all. I could do that. Could fall down the stairs and chevy chase. Doing the. You know falling down stuff like that. I mean anybody can do it. But there's this you know. Peter sellars was the master of that type account. And that's hard to do. It's a it's very hard to do. And like people are going to hate me for saying this. But i'm just not an austin powers fan as just not i know but it's you have to like that type of comedy and it's and it's right. You know definitely not up your alley because you don't like that just it's just. I'm not a dumb. And dumber te. Not and i like those. And it's okay and everybody's different and i know a lot of people that hate napoleon. Dynamite and. I am totally fine with that when i first saw it. I'm like what the hell am. I watching it takes a few viewings with evil dead and other and some other films. And then i'm like oh my god. I love this film. So in fact we're going to see it later in september and we're going to meet some of the cast like uncle rico and some of the other cast members so if it still happens it got rescheduled but anyway so without going on and on about what don transplanting. I thought this podcast we winning comedy here. But that's a big part of why i struggle with some of these films. That's and it's and this was definitely not a struggle clarify. It was nice fun. Thrill ride just enjoyable just a good time you know and i love the characters and everything you know. I thought he did a fantastic job. And i bought all of it. I bought all of it. I loved it. Yeah so so. It's just some of the humor is tough for me. That's all but like. I said. I think i think i'm gonna try that. Rob i think i'm going to go into certain films knowing. It's like okay dan. This is not a black christmas. It's not trying to be you know it's not trying to be. He's out there trying to be hush. This is a different style. And i'm going to see if i can just grow on me. You know it may or may. Not but i wanna be open that at i want to just shut off from a certain style. I don't like sometimes. I mean a real house but that's like a. It's an intense henry. It's great love that type of sometimes it's just want a break from. I like to watch a horror film of laugh a little bit exactly and this was the perfect. You don't wanna be so. Yeah right dramatic. That and i like the nice combination in if i didn't like the characters in the story i would probably hate the film but you learn but it works in so many different ways. it's something you've definitely have seen before but like i said the the the main stories just a lot of phone for me so but i i. I want to touch on that part. You know we talked about earlier is yes. You've seen some of this before. But i loved what he did with the scouts You know i liked what he did with two three kids. And i just love that out that part of it. Yeah you know it could have easily just had three friends right. That weren't scouts right. And you know all this all the layers but it wouldn't have had the impact. I talk talked about the leader's all the time. They has layers and this this year that extra layer and And that just made a big difference to me it really because they had this bond. It's like okay. Well you could do that in another film and their friends and their old you know and they have a bond. Yeah but then you can build on that and they can make the weapons from ace hardware within. There's this loved all but then there's the conflict between the characters because the the one the two characters wanna leave the scouts guys like adamant about the scott. That's right and he's hurt. And then they discover that. Wow i hurt my friend right out about the scouts. it was about. Hey i hurt my friend. That's right that's right and it's all that's what the movie's about it's about friendship and then they have the certain stereotype that they have to fight against with other with everybody out like all you know what i mean. It's like they know that the scouts not cool. So there's this stigma about.

"Sidebar. It's on youtube back in the day. Hbo used to show tape. Productions of live plays There's a version of barefoot in the park with richard. Thomas am bess armstrong. That is brilliant. It's brilliant and i love the whole. The whole cast is wonderful and i always felt bad for the telephone operator. Who only like two minutes. I watched it last year. Through the telephone operator is grandma. Oh get out. We talk for a second about his his outfit for when he's sleeping in the bed. Okay okay okay. He looks hot. I'm sorry it's kind of mesh t shirt on like what is their french. They're well gonna they're belgian they'll go they'll go biz lingerie we invented. I mean he specifically corrects peter. Falk time french. Because i always forget this but poirot is belgian which is also line and even under the. Yeah a little fast goes out. You've shown the gandhi bell to deliver your stash the nc sloppy. You know they were doing it you know. They were because i was like come on. He's not laying in that bad like in the mesh underwear like by accident. What you're dream to sleep issue even a car you fill will deliver ones that you were to pay raging And didn't know that you knew so familiar. No turbie to get his whole bear with the to pay. James coco doesn't want to find out that he wears a toupee. Why even though everybody else knows. Why is he so concerned by disturbing. But it turns out that marcel already knows. It's the to pay and not only he. No he thinks it's terrible to pay and he's never said anything why because they both love each other. It's like the gift of the giants adorable. Plus last servant. He's a servants serving. Wouldn't be eaten at the table with everybody else. He must be a special kind of serving. Okay you know what. That's how that's the way. That's why he has that. Steel rib hip or whatever. I mean there has the it has to be implied. That's to me it. it doesn't feel like otherwise it would. It wouldn't happen. You know what. I mean for a movie where a lot of quote unquote frivolous things are going on. There's it's pretty trim in terms of like the fat on the bone here. Well you have to do this stuff with laser precision otherwise it's just a free for all. Yeah always mess. It feels like cacophony like airplane. It feels a cacophony but that is done with laser precision. Yeah yes people don't like this. Is the thing when actress talk about like. Oh comedy is harder to do than drama like they. I think they're specifically talking about those types of things where it's like it's gotta be precise it's got to be specific and it has to be. It has to be quick and not. Everybody has that ability to do that. I know because it's not just about your intentions or your emotions or whatever acting had to bring the scene but there's also timing rhythm tone. Does that language of comedy. I was talking about. You have to know what words to hit in the words to hit this science and psychology behind it. It's it's very complicated. There's so many as you have to factor in at that. You either have it or you don't yes and the thing you were saying was that it's a character driven story so if you don't if you're not a character then there really isn't a place for you in it you know. So yeah i. It's just walking away from it of like god. this is really just. This should be held up as like a scene study in terms of like how to do comedy because everyone is doing amazing. Comedic work amazing work. I said this the scene where james. Her bensimon is first meets. The cook in the kitchen is brilliantly stupid because he's blind and she's deaf mute. Yes yes yes. Which and such a bummer. That all these teams are my favorite scenes in the movie with alec baldwin alec baldwin alleghenies and the main depend on visuals. So i can't play the audio all right. I'm gonna take a sidebar. I'm learning from listeners. And from a lot of other people that the younger folk don't like this movie. Oh okay it's offensive offensive offensive offensive. Not funny all right and clues better. Okay so i mean. I knew we were going to get to the clue comparison eventually but i mean this movie walked so clue could run. Yes exactly yeah to quote my murphy. From dan lewis and macos is wise thing sometimes and i write them down. I mean she's absolutely right like this is. I don't think clue would have happened if this hadn't happened because this was actually. This was a hit. This was successful. This moving ahead. Peter sellars didn't think so right. Peter sellars didn't think the movie was funding all and he thought it was going to bomb. Yeah i read that online as well by the tiny to another episode that you were on kristen. Peter sellars was at this time mary to brooklyn. Oh really from the wicker man. That dude man. I wasn't there a tv movie about him. And all of his like conquest. I don't know. I feel like geoffrey rush played him in this. Tv that happening. It makes sense. Go back and rewatch being there. Because i saw it when i was a kid. I didn't get it and i remember. That was a really poignant unusual film for him like he was up for an oscar for it was one of his last films. I think it was his last weekend at. I brought the conversation to a stop. No i i haven't heard of it but he's i mean because it wasn't his entire career mostly consumed by all of us pink panther movies and people were always tone to them. Yeah he did other stuff as well. I mean he did. Charlie chan carson dragon queen. Which was michelle. I was gonna say buckman. That's not right. Michelle pfeiffer agrees to huge box office bomb on. Hbo three hundred times a day. I'm always you can always milan. Hbo to have like some of the worst movie. I remember nothing. Is that when somebody was taking drink orders michelle pfeiffer like i'll have shirley temple straight up that's all i remember about the movie that's it that's it okay. So the clue comparisons. I think are inevitable mostly because it i mean there is a lot that is similar in that. It's a murder mystery. That is old dark house movie. Yeah it's self contained and you know it's a.

That's one of the things we can talk about what we talk about her about whether she's one of those all of us companions yet so we like to talk about the donald pickering played blade. "Peter sellars when peter sellars was at his most manic and between the budget and the star the whole thing sunk. Shall we say and in a way sunk this guy's career but you see you know if you've seen peers yourselves you know he's a genius but this this is very unfortunate for medic. But it's nice. City gets to tell his story now. I thought that came out a couple of years ago. Did it not it might. It might have been one of those. Like banana split where it was like. Hey it was the two thousand eighteen but didn't right you know really availability thousand twenty k. The last year no mention is the painter and the thief. A crazy story directed by women re about an artist named barbara in europe and she has a show finally and her piece of art is stolen and the cameras are able to Kind of find out who stole the picture and she has. Name's karl and she goes to his trial and he goes to jail and she keeps visiting him in jail and they become good friends and when he gets out of jail. They become like entangled in this relationship. That's almost codependent. And i wonder you know. I know where it left off but i wonder what it is. Now you know we did it. Turn into something more. I think they're making a narrative version of this as well but pretty fascinating stuff. Yeah i still haven't watched that one. That was going to be the next doc. I watch before. We got to this. But i never got a chance to so. I'm i'm definitely looking forward to checking it out. I'll just say one one other one that just throw on the list. We we touched on it on our top narratives episode but we should mention it again Bloody nose empty pockets. Which isn't really a documentary but is going to you know end up. In many documentary talks for the year It kind of rides a strange line between documentary and narrative film because it's all baked but It's about the closing of a Las vegas bar. Although it's not really shot in las vegas and all of just the people who inhabit the bar and they're the regulars there and you just kind of spend all this time with them and it's a really interesting movie. It probably would be my number six on this list Did did you What'd you think of it. Like as a documentary feature blended thing. I didn't think anything of it. This documentary blended future because it's not a documentary. Yeah it's about a it was on my narrative line. No it's about a fake bar. That's closing and fake bar means fake patriots. They're calling it a documentary still. They're trying to get it away as documentary. I mean it's not a documentary. I wouldn't make my list but it did make my list of top narrative so there you go all right. Well i think that does it. I think this is fun. And hopefully yeah in. Hopefully in two thousand twenty one will will be able to squeeze in a couple of Documentary episodes in the traditional piecing it together format because you know does so many great documentaries every year definitely ones where the golden age for documentaries right now because of all these you know all these streaming platforms right so like you know the next three down on my list. One was like a netflix. mini series. One was bbc hour. Long thing and one was a wwe network five parter so there you go. You know like there's so many different ways you tell stories now and so many different outlets and you know like city hall which is like a five hour. Documentary is on top ten list this year tour. So yeah there's plenty of stuff out there man some well We wrap it up. Why don't you tell people about what's going on with awesome ouvriere awesome movie year is just finishing season. "peter sellars" Discussed on Piecing It Together Podcast

"Peter sellars when peter sellars was at his most manic and between the budget and the star the whole thing sunk. Shall we say and in a way sunk this guy's career but you see you know if you've seen yourselves you know he's a genius but this this is very unfortunate for maddock but it's nice city gets to tell his story now. I thought that came out a couple of years ago. Did it not it might. It might have been one of those. Like banana split where it was like. Hey it was the two thousand eighteen but didn't right you know really availability thousand twenty k. The last one no mention is the painter and the thief. A crazy story directed by men re about an artist named barbara in europe and she has a show finally and her piece of art is stolen and the cameras are able to Kind of find out who stole the picture and she has. I wouldn't make my list but it did make my list of top narrative film so there you go all right. Six thousand nine hundred eighty four. Lots of big big movies. That still resonates today ghostbusters. Karate kid Beverly hills cop man. There's there's gremlins lot of these are finding new life and plenty new. We got some great special guests. Like joe esposito. Saying you're the best around. And some other guests like eric gladstone. Not a great no. I'm just kidding eric. He's a friend of mine. So i joke around and then you got What by the time. "peter sellars" Discussed on Out Of The Basement Podcast

"Never every single iteration. There are people out there who are findable bothers him and the thing is is that it's a process that they're they're continually trying to improve. But when you look you look back. The stakes are glaring. But they weren't so much time. I mean one of my favorite little guilty pleasure. Type movies is remo williams. The adventure begins. fred ward. Show who was played by joel grey in makeup. Yeah ok you know now looking back at that you have to go like could you not have at least higher james hong or something. Who was you know you would have been available at the time. Right is the fee to arts won't is always. They aren't good enough for that. Was the best actor are we all. We don't see skin color. We don't see we don't know every all those people that's the fire. There was another Incident earlier on that Really showcased the need for diversity in filmmaking and that's a monster hunter world yes. There was What turns out to be a racist joke in it. Nobody realized it was racist. But when it hit china there it caused a massive massive backlash to the point where they removed it out of the out of the movie right so all they needed was somebody who would have been able to look at it and go Yeah we can't put that in. Especially nowadays like i can understand thirty years ago or so. They're like oh we don't have translation or we don't get it nowadays google. That's the thing is that actually. I mean yes. I agree that that now is better than but even then there was no excuse right. I mean i know we always say oh. It's actually because we're in comics. Actually portray a block superhero as being the main hero. Right i have to say oh makes it was no it was illegal you could not portray a blanket uber euro as the main guy which is why when you see like a falkand originally in his story he's a huddle because they couldn't have them as i mean i'm not agreeing to those right just sort of really stupid that they did this right. It was like that's why like me. Catherine erica block. I wouldn't care or asian. who cares. it's the fact that the character should still be can america. But that's that's comic books have actually been yes. There was during the golden age and silver age. There was a lot of restrictions about what they show in that kind of but they were pushing the envelope. Well before right side all star but also also all of the gender switches all of the. Can you see mayo. Having having wall leads to act the we and amazing and wonderful with bondage issues. Well i mean there's nothing is ever perfect really whereas you know. Tv and movies are much slower to adopt. Because you to those again that same thing that argument everyone says which is you need a big name. It's the best actor blah blah blah. All this kind of stuff. But that's the one of the nice things about this sort of breakout of of internet culture which there are not many nice things about it but one thing i think is good. I was gonna say because superman right. Christopher royal an unknown me tongue money. So it's you don't you could. You don't need it. It's pretty these kinds of movies. Now like the the bigger the i mean and you can see it right now. They're putting out ten star wars movies and like whatever five thousand level marvel. There's no room for anything new or interesting or having different different people or different character to different after tell different stories even and so we need. If you spend all this money you need to then make a huge amount of money on in return and then it makes them even more cautious. Which means you didn't make name star people to go. Sag anything about the controversy. The whole okay was. I've read the mind though in the manga. She is not looking asian. Either but that doesn't matter that's my right eye and that they're like oh. She's not japanese like kim. It was they said we have to. We have to make a big name star here because otherwise no one cares about this obscure Japanese mega right. Like that was the sort of idea. But the thing is. I was gonna say because the main guy they had for the boss of the whole organization. He never spotted wish. L. is also takashi. I love i got there. He never spoke english once the entire movie right so but yeah no. It's just like. I said. I was stirring the pot on purpose to get a good discussion going all and having a section three into the problem with doing a segment three with this much stuff in news and rumors and all of our talk about our our segment. One is that we were run dangerously low on time and it's it's already been well over two hours for this recording. So why don't we call it here and say thank you for joining us brother episode of the podcast and We'll see you next time. Say nothing beats. John wayne plane. Gingas kahn for An appropriate what was awful and the past is the evil past but still. We should've known better than and we should know better now. That's that's just like charlie chan and all the asian villains to peter sellars. Unfortunately it's if you go back in time and it's tough. It's hard to find anyone who cut their noses. Clean has a big a fan. As i am afraid. Stare guy did perform blackface so so that was a standard advil kind of act at the time though i know but now but anyways This was a anyway. Thank you for joining us for another episode of the based podcast. And we'll see next time by everyone. I thank you for joining us for another episode of the out of base podcast.
