I should say was claiming that Father altman was defending lynching which is a lie. I think father altman needs to sue pillar catholic for libel but to your point. This is exactly what's been going on. We're seeing a lot. You pointed out. one peter five. We talked about walsh. Why are these conservative catholic so so-called conservative catholics attacking father oltman. I think a lot of it is virtue. Signaling yep and people need to understand virtue signaling is basically virtue signaling is pointing out which is actually an act of pride then pointed out that lookout. Good i am looking to charity. I just did. You need to pat me on the back. I am so awesome and good and lovey-dovey charitably and virtuous e. instead of No you're not but by the way we lose this from time to time because we have such poor grammar skills think about this to the Lost my train of thought it was. I just tell him you lose it or is it still boarding estate the state boarding at this station a just a minute over the edge was getting ready to go ahead. No i'm just laughing at you. Wait what was what was i getting ready to pounce upon sorry might my both at a brain spasm. There it'll come to me in a moment I know it's a good point. But when we talking about these these purported couldn't -servative entities that are doing is in promoting the faith in doing that There is a there's dividing line and the dividing line between what is permissible and what is not Is not being drawn by. What will ultimately become a doctor or father of the church and it should be drawn and inviting. Line is this you. You must not under paint a mortal sin you must not seek to profit from the demise of the catholic faith church or any prese now or or any of her prelature clerics now if you're the one that happens to to to try and fraternally corrected a dreaded mortal sin and public outrage or scandal and ultimately it becomes a becomes public. Okay that's fine and there is something to be said. You know back. In the day in the newspapers they all had church reporters. Do you remember this right. You go to the church section. Some other people have taken The topic on Believe the dude. Who is losing his mind in front of the public. As i speak at founded in one peter five Is actually has taken it on as well. I don't know i ain't seen it. Walsh is doing it. wh- what's he saying. Oh he's on. He's been on twitter. Basically saying oh this idea that there are billions of galaxies and hundreds of billions of planets out. There and people think that. There's no extra terrestrial life somewhere and that they couldn't possibly visit us is ridiculous. I'm going wait a minute. So what was the method of their salvation. Exactly exactly how do they participate in the life of christ if christ came to earth. Unless you're a mormon or are you a mormon. I am not i but it's it's absolutely patently. Absurd and for a man who claims to be someone who wants to be taken seriously as a faithful catholic to be promoting this idea of extraterrestrial life. It makes me wonder what the heck is going on inside his head. why is this publisher publishing. Well he's publishing this on twitter and on facebook so that would be his publishers platform. Okay well Because he does right for the ben father who insists that jesus was just some kind of a second rate profit. Not our lord There's abbott if he was right about at the ben father will. I guarantee they'll publish it at the the daily signal mike. Here's my question. And i'm with you on this So you're telling me then there that there's an anti their entire races now of other species out there that have human like qualities which would strongly suggest then that god created them as well and yet we know nothing of them in the creation and the salvation narrative. I call heresy. I do too. I do too. But it's i'm finding that is a It is a speculation that is growing in popularity in catholic circles. And i'm seeing our friend over at One peter five promoting it. I'm seeing walls promoting it. I'm seeing a jimmy. Aken promoting this idea know what the heck is going on. Well the demons are sending. Because we know there's a sermon their play part of it last week for follow wolf where he identified this group that had gone That was studying. Ufo's right we're studying abductions. And they kept asking people that had successfully gotten over the abduction. Well how'd you do it. And they kept noticing a trend. Well when i would rebuke the alien or crawl out to jesus the alien would go away and this was a group and they look. This group is no longer they quit. And one of the founders converted to the faith Because they began to realize that this is word aliens. These were demons taking the thoughts that they knew that men and women had about. What an alien look like manifesting themselves or making the the the the the poor subject What is the subject called and the scrooge letters as he called the subject. Oh i don't remember..

"I think like that well. It's not possible that fear won't come at you said without we're fighting's within were fierce. A second corinthians seven five right he said i was with you and weakness and feared and much trembling. Its first corinthians two three point being but it is possible that i can reject fear so i do believe it's possible that god wants us to cast that fear or that care upon him doesn't mean it won't come at you. It's what you and i do with it. And how do you do that. You use your words. He is the apostle and high priest of your confession. You speak forth to god's conclusion you sign for the promise sign on the line. When the holy spirit delivers you promise you sign for by declaring end amen. Good word all right so look at this. It says so. We fight the good fight of faith. I believe that the good fight of faith is predominantly against feelings or lack negative feelings or lack of good feelings. Now think about this for minute when we were fighting. What are we fighting. A lot of times. We're fighting that. We're not seeing things the way we want to see them right. So this is why the word we have to go to the word and say this is what god says. And i'm standing on this. How long well. In the words of pastor throw away your calendar throw away your watch and lord. This is your thing a men. It seems almost like well. We have this idea that. If i don't worry i'm not being responsible but really we're tying god's hands by not casting that care upon him. That's in first. Peter five all right so moving right along. Let's take start taking god's word and applying it to your situation. I wrote down here on the outline. See it in the word. Speak at cnn. In the word. Apply it to your situation. We speak in order to persuade our heart and then we speak from a persuaded heart. I look at it as a big circle. The bible says we are believed therefore we speak. Revelation 12-18: Signs and Symbols

"John continues explaining his vision to us today in. Its filled with lots of signs and symbols. That means many of these things aren't literal their symbolic and while there is some debate. Now about what. These things mean if we try to figure out how to apply them to future events. John's original audience probably wasn't confused at all. They saw this vision through the lens of israel's history and as you know jewish literature loves signs and numbers and symbols so will impact some of that today. I we see a woman giving birth to a child that would rule the nations. There's a beast that doesn't like this. Who tries to put a stop to it. All she goes to live in the wilderness. Where god takes care of her. Does any of that sound familiar. Most people think this woman is israel that satan is the dragon and that the stars that got swooped down by the dragon's tail or the angels. Who joined him. War breaks out in heaven between the elect. Angels and satans angels and the elec angels win so satan and his angels are addicted. Since they can't stay in heaven they mount an attack on earth but god miraculously protects israel boarded again. Satan's angel goff to attack. God's other kids and in john's times they likely would have seen this as referring to the gentiles. Or maybe the church at large. Or maybe the remnant of israel in chapter thirteen giannis. A sea beast. It sounds a lot like the dragon. Seven heads ten horns and if you're with us in the old testament you may remember that horns symbolize kings or kingdoms there a sign of power. Everybody on earth thinks the beast is awesome. And if you're alive during john's day you're probably thinking oh right room because everyone worships this beast. Except for god's kids according to verse eight and for the jews in john's day this would be a flashback to the book of daniel when he and a few of his friends were living in babylon and king nebuchadnezzar demanded to be worshiped. So in verse eleven. John reminds his readers. How god's kids are called to respond in this kind of situation he says ear is a call for the endurance and faith of the saints. The way to overcome is to remain faithful despite persecution next. John describes an earth beast. This beast has a lot of power over the people of earth and does a lot of things that are attempts to counterfeit god in his ways. It looks like a lamb at fakes. Its own resurrection. And it has people mark themselves on the forehead and the hand remember the factories. We talked about a little leather boxes with scripture and then that religious jews where that comes from deuteronomy six four through eight which says eero israel the lord our god the lord is one you shall love the lord god with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might and these words that i command you today shall be on your heart you shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as front litz between your is the beast counterfeits this with his own name instead of the name of god and remember how in hebrew every letter of the alphabet has a number assigned to it. The beast name is spelled with the letter. Six six six which also happens to be how you spell out the name of nero the roman emperor so this probably isn't literal. It's probably representative of who you worship. There are other ways to interpret this through a modern lens but if we look at it through the lens of john's readers they likely would have understood roamed be babylon two point which we already know from i peter five and they probably would have seen this hand forehead business as representative of who you belong to are you mark. With god's name or rome's we're in jerusalem in chapter fourteen. And jesus is there with a one hundred and forty four thousand which again maybe a precise number. It is probably symbolic of a much larger number. These marked with god's name on their foreheads and probably not literally they sing and worship god then three angels show up with three messages angel number. One says worship god because judging is coming angel number two says babylon is fallen. Angel number three says those who worshipped the beast. Instead of god will hit god's judgment and everlasting punishment and again. John reminds his readers in verse. Twelve year is a call for the endurance of the saints. Those who keep the commandments of god and their faith in jesus despite the attacks of the beast god has the final. Say some angels assist. Maybe jesus in beginning to work out justice and vengeance on the earth by the way. John says these angels come out of the temple in heaven yesterday and today. We've seen three references to this temple in heaven. Some believe the earthly temple was a literal replica of a temple in heaven and simply the word temple is just a reverence to god's dwelling place in general and this may or may not be the same thing referred to in chapter fifteen as the sanctuary of the tent of witness seven. More angels. Come out carrying seven bowls of god's wrath which are also described as plagues. Some of these plagues might remind you of what we saw. A longtime ago in egypt sores on those who don't worship god the season the rivers and springs become blood the sun scorch and burns people then darkness than the river dries up and the enemies of god used their demonic powers to perform signs just like barros magicians then before the seventh bowl the armies at the world gathering the planes of armageddon on our trips to israel we stand on mount carmel and look over that patch of land in john's day. It served as the crossroads of the world kind of like the atlanta airport and while the armies are gathered there. The seventh angel pours out his bowl of earthquakes. Fallen city sunken islands crumbling mountains lightning thunder and one hundred pound. Hailstones and god makes babylon or rome. Drink the cup of his wrath

"You. Wisdom. Revelation that leads to the knowledge of him. No let me show you verse eighteen. It goes even further he still praying. The first was that they would have a knowledge of him a fuller knowledge of God I pray then. The eyes of your heart. May Be enlightened. So that they might know look at the word no. Again, I've got a little Arrow pointed up to knowledge of him and no here it's about knowledge that you will know what? Is. The hope of its calling what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance that you may know what? Is the surpassing greatness of his power toward us who believe you know what I think I don't think you can know any of the three without prayer. I think we need to request these three things if we're going to get them, the channel is through prayer. Not on now I lay down to sleep prayer not the traditional prayer you memorized when you were eight or nine, and you're still using it. Not that this is a prayer that says in simple terms, help help. I've I've lived years of my life clueless spiritually speaking I've been selfish I. I, I've kept score. I've held grudges. My eyes are horizontally focused on people. I've got a list of folks that I'd be happy if I never saw again stop stop. Lord. I'm tired of living like everybody around me is living and I pray that my heart will be enlightened. So that I might know these three things and it will change me. What are they? Well, one has to do with his calling. How is it Eugene Peterson words this so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do. You know what he's calling you to do do don't tell me what your job is. Don't tell me your occupation. It may be part of it may not do you know what? He's calling you to do not if you haven't parade. Not. If you haven't had your mind and will and emotions fully open to what he is calling you to do. It may be very surprising I can tell you from experience it is surprising. You just think you know. And it isn't necessarily what comes naturally are, what brings you most comfort Or the easiest path that's the way we naturally walk. There's nothing divine about that. Everybody wants his own comfort zone sustained. But but he said so that you will know meaning you don't know. So I pray you will know. The hope is calling. What you do a little homework for me on this one. Okay. Some of you have in the back of your bibles concordance, which is an alphabetical listing of the words in the scriptures that's a small concordance. Others of you who are really serious about your faith I want you to buy a biblical concordance? K.. Looking at me like. Get a life chuck. No I have a life. You need to get one you need to own unique to own and. A Nice heavy volume has no pictures in it. Isn't big print. A nice heavy volume called a concordance. Seriously, if you don't have one, it is next to your Bible the most important book you could own a concordance and it is an alphabetical listing of the words used all the way through the Bible. And if you got a good one, it's called an exhaustive concordance didn't say exhausting I said exhaustive every word in the Bible is listed in good concordance. Get. One. Find the letter C. still with me, right Look up call and calling. And do a study on that. If you don't have time for the whole Bible, take just the New Testament. You will be amazed. He asked that we would know the hope of are calling. What it is God really wants us to do and I don't think you can do that without a serious study of call or calling. Just a few of them he has called us to be set apart to him found that in my concordance. He has called us to holiness. He has called us to a life of freedom. Not being captured by others opinions for freedom, freedom to obey. God. He has called us into one body. He has called us to his life of peace. And you know a surprising one in first Peter Five he has called us to suffering. Wait a minute. That's right. That means the next time you seriously suffer. You'll realize it's part of his calling. Makes all the difference in the world in your affliction. When you realize that God the sovereign father who oversees every detail of your life and knows every hair on your head. Cares about what you were going through even the suffering, it will put a whole new dimension in the pain. Pain knocked on my door and said that she had come to stay in though I wouldn't welcome her. Her Go away she entered in. The poet goes on to describe. The, wrestling of pain. I more pain came and she says a little later on. Then I said, no pain is here there is not room for more and then I heard his tender voice Tis ib not afraid and from the moment he entered the difference he made. When the Lord Jesus enters into the pain of your software suffering and sorrow, it changes your whole attitude. From Resistance, to, acceptance? Then you start to learn, then you start to grow. I've never met a soul who was a wise individual who wasn't scarred. From pain. You're going through tough times. It's the journey toward wisdom. Some says he keeps our tears in a bottle. Isn't that a great thought? For some of us. It's a jug. For a few, it's a little flask. To Low, tube. But you're not through yet. Your call to suffering. God didn't make a mistake you're not out of his will necessarily you may be in the nucleus of his will with all the pain you're going through. I pray that the eyes of your heart would be enlightened. So you'd know that. It gives hope when you realize you're calling. And you'd also know what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance. You know what we have to look forward to talk about encouragement. We have an an inheritance that is imperishable and defiled and unfailing waiting in heaven for us I Peter one four. Among that inheritance is seeing the savior and all of his glory it is being rewarded for every act done with a pure motive. It is being eternally delivered from the adversary and his dark evil ways. It includes crowns that will be given to you when you stand before him at the judgment and you will cast them at his feet in worship. That's part of your inheritance that keeps you on the bed of affliction with a smile. There is a special reward, even.

"So. The idea of tenant is that it is a the time is just a dimension that can be turned back on itself, and it is true that scientifically we do know that time is a variable. So if it is a variable like in the speed of light when you calculate the speed of light your calculating time as a variable, so it is a variable and you can. See Equation, you can solve for any one of the variables in an equation. So that means that. It has variable which means theoretically. You can manipulate now very mankind in theory in mankind hasn't quite reached that point. We don't know how to manipulate time. But in this movie, they have come up with this concept and believe me this is my loose understanding of it because I still walked out of the movie not entirely. Sure. As you've heard from our initial reactions we are still confused still scratching our heads. But the initial concept of this is that in the future somebody creates a algorithm that allows them to manipulate the variable of time, not necessarily a time travel way but in a way of where you could reverse time so that you could actually go the other direction in time. So while everybody else is going forward in time, you actually turn the bend and go backwards in. Time and you can go backwards in time a few minutes or a couple of hours or several days or a few weeks. It just depends on how long you want to live in reverse before you turn around and go the other direction and and turn around and go the other direction you have to. You have to go back and get read. It's literally rea- radiated because. The mechanism that they use for this is a they call it reversing the tropic effect. And it's it is a state that you switch between the two. So if you take a bullet and you reverse its and tropic state. It stays risk as reverse and will continue going the wrong way in time forever. Until you turn it around. Until somebody turned around bright. It's very confusing concept and. Basically, you don't know how the people in the current real time have managed to get a hold of this technology so that they can reverse time. We are told through some of the exposition that whatever future scientists created tenant knew that it was going to be an issue, and so she broke the algorithm up and hit in the past. So then people in the past somehow dug up this algorithm and are attempting to put it together but yet they're still using the technology. So that's part of my confusion is if they hadn't put the algorithm together, how did they have the technology and able to use it? So that they could reverse time and. It's very confusing and there's a lot of understanding about it. I don't understand. But one thing that I can say without a doubt. Is that this movie like of Christopher Nolan's movies I don't think I've ever watched one that wasn't was heavily humanistic because like we saw it in when we discussed interstellar, this is all the power of man our future man in like an interstellar was future man coming back to kind of through the dimension of space and time to change decisions made by men in the past, and it's always manage manage his own God in the future. It's like we go forward in time and evolve to a point where we become our own gods in the past, and so it's very humanistic. I know tenant is following that same half in that some tech technology in the future some somehow they've created this technology so that man can play God with his own passed, and that is what we see the both the protagonist. And the antagonised in this film. Doing is using this tool. That's really all it is tool to play with time. At in God ways. and. Very humanistic man is his own God. So. If if there was a main point of tenant I, I think that it boils down to what Christopher Nolan almost always backs down to in all of his movies. That mankind is his own God whether now or in the future. What are your thoughts Tim i? Know we kinda disagree a little bit on on what tenant is honestly I don't really disagree with anything you said. The way he embraced humanity is the answer in interstellar was. Much more evident of the the humanistic viewpoint than it is in tenant, but I think intent, he takes the idea. He takes the concept of. God with a lower case G. and. He says people can be God. People can be their own gods. and. Yeah I. Mean People can people can achieve god-like status in social media or godlike status in politics but it's all. God, like left Addis and celebrity. Yeah. It's all god-like status in that lower case G and Christians no that that Godly status is. Idolatry like status. except in tenant that God like status he takes, he takes it and makes it. what was you had? You had something written in the show notes exceptional ability exceptional knowledge certain men with exceptional knowledge can have the power of God over the lives of humanity. And and that's how tenant really does do it in this movie. So the main villain in tenant is. Seder. which now that I say I think that's the first time I've actually said it out loud. I. Wonder if that was intentional sound a little bit like Satan. Or. You know from Greek mythology to sater's. Regardless, he gets his God complex because he is receiving information from the future. And he is using that information. I didn't. Even, after two viewings I'm still unclear if he's using that information. For strictly his own ends. Or if he is using it in conjunction with the intent of the people in the future. He made some comment at the end of the movie about that. He made a deal with the devil. So I think that it was he had his own purposes in mind. and. They gave him the technology so that he could do what he would do his purposes but that his purposes were in conjunction and walked hand-in-hand with. Will of the people in the future who gave him the technology. So he was working on his own behalf, but his what he wanted was. The. Same as what they wanted I guess and buy it. You know, hey, comes to him completing his. Goal which was to literally. Prevent anybody from opposing. The people in the future whose goal was to wage war on the past. He was executing a scorched earth policy. You know if I can't have nobody will. And for me that that is as clear an indication of evil if I could possibly come up with. Yeah, but it but I was having trouble coming up with scripture for it. There's not a lot of scripture for people who want to destroy everything. But then I realized that there there's actually one references stands out in its. First Peter Five eight be sober minded be alert your adversary. The devil is prowling around like a roaring lion looking for anyone he can devour. And that really is what Seder was doing He he looking to destroy anyone in everything he could. Because he couldn't have it because and this is a major dying he was. Yup Dying of pancreatic cancer. And I didn't catch it until I was. I'm going to be saying that a lot on this episode I didn't catch that. Catch it. I didn't catch it until I was working on the notes this afternoon He even had a line earlier in the movie that says, you don't negotiate with Tiger you admire him until he attacks. Yeah and that really just speaks to the I peter five eight reference one of the appropriate. Thoughts about how Satan is compared to lion is the roaring lion is just fulfilling its nature nature. Yeah. You know like the Scorpion on no toads back or Scorpion on the frogs back from the ACO fable, it has just the hungry lion will eat you. That is the nature and it's one of the reasons that the story of Daniel in the lion's den is so. impactful. Because the the lions had been starved for what was it seven days or something like that before Daniel was surname with them and they still didn't eat Daniel because God had shut blind smells. But that power. Seder was convinced that his lack of belief made him a God..

"People. That need ministering to and we all. We all need ministering to well. Absolutely man well. I think back to You know reading the grating, and I think back to Edwards and Whitfield Gilbert tenant. Men like this to would you know The whole point of the great awakening was this incredible revival that took place I in America and beyond at the Gospel was proclaimed. An these Presbyterian preachers would preach these these these incredible sermons that would do everything that we've talked about right. They would talk about the doctrine of God the doctor to sin or need for a savior, and again you can't understand salvation and savior without understanding sin, right people would be. This book says they would be wail. Over being broken over their sin, and there were so many converts. There were so many people who were professing faith in Christ But, but when you read the great awakening, you will see. That, one of the things that these pastors and niece faithful men fought against was those false conversions was were people that would say that they they were profess Christ, but they didn't possess true religion. How great awakening words that and so so these men would meet with these people you know is about George Whitfield George Whitfield going approaching these sermons and revival, breaking out true movement of the Holy Spirit, and were the Holy Spirit is convicting of sin, and and regeneration is happening, and and people are getting it, but but again they would spend the time. To to do that right to to shepherd the the the flock of God and and providing an and being proving to be examples to the flock as as as I, Peter Five, three says and. And did that. You should answer to them. And they might want to be Christ in your life. And that the best pastors with a demon. Is Water Water little nasty place you can end up in. And that was the second worst. That was GONNA come to. One Peter Five eight be sober. Be Vacant because your adversary the devil. As a roaring lion. Woke us about seeking whom he made devolve. "To be like Christ that I focus my energy and my attention on Christ. So even when you have the loss of someone ends you go through that process that rich described. Your straining forward. Toward Christ 'cause you know that's where you're going. Like really case, his dear friend gone yet one day, he will be reunited. And so leaning into that straining four were pushing forward. Through the pain through the the difficulty, the loss, straining forward for the Upper Call of God in Christ Jesus. Putting his. His eyes fixed on Christ. And then one that. I I was thinking of. This was not one sent to me, but the one that I think so well. Fits into all of this I Peter Five six through ten humble yourselves, therefore under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you. Casting all your anxieties on him. Because he cares for you. If. You are in Christ if your identity is a Christian if that is who you are. God cares for you. He cares he. Be Sober minded, be watchful your adversary, the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour resist him firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your Brotherhood throughout the world, and of course. Yes, this is speaking of persecution. But we all. Experience loss we all experience grief. And there our brethren around the world. Who like you are casting the anxiety on Christ. He says and after after you have suffered a little while the god of all grace who has called you to his eternal glory. That is the most amazing thing we get to think about. That God has called us to his eternal glory in Christ. That makes it hard sometimes when you're in the midst of the storm. You're staring at this colossal problem. This loss and you think I. Yeah, okay. One day I get to heaven. But how do I deal with this? Cache of. CARE. On the Lord even in the midst of the worst trial. That just never seems to end. You have this God of all grace. Who has called you to his eternal glory? and. That's the light we can look to. To be strengthened. Because as Peter writes. God, will himself restore confirm? Strengthen and establish you..

"Right because that's really what's talking about is this aspect of king and subjects. Matthew Chapter six twenty four says no man can serve two masters for, either he will hate the one in love, the other or else he will hold to the one despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon regarding money. What's he really saying here? What he's basically saying is this. There is going to come a time if you are serving to separate masters when they might be going the same direction. But there will come a point where there's a fork in the road, and you're GONNA have to choose between this one and that one. Which one's going to win your loyalty? Which one is going to get your time which one's going to get your attention because that really shows. Who you are servant to right. Who is your master? Because that's where your loyalty is, so make sure your loyalty towards Christ. Glaciers chapter, one verse ten says for do I now persuade men or God? Do I seek to please men for if I pleased man. I should not be the Servant of Christ. Did catch that. If I pleased man, I should not be I should be disqualified is what he's saying, and that's a very strange thought in our world today to think about serving anybody other than yourself especially in America. Where we are all about pleasing number one. How could it possibly be that? Paul here to the Church and glacier would say that if I please. I shouldn't be allowed to be. Servant of Christ. What if the church got that kind of mindset? To be a servant is the highest calling that we could ever attain. Max Quedo in this book. God came near. He spoke of a man who has a child went to vacation Bible School. How many ever went to Vacation Bible School? I went to a lot of them. Books the New Testament there I still have to sing that crazy song just to figure out where the book of I Timothy Right. But he went to vacation Bible school because he was invited by some kids in his neighborhood. Well, he went back to that same church for Sunday school classes. For about the next eight years each week, he was faithfully picked up by a bus driver and week after week he attended church, but never made a commitment to Christ. Finally? During his senior year in high school after you'd gone to church some four hundred times, he committed his life to Christ. Question is this. What if that bus driver? Had Given up on the child at number three, hundred, ninety five. Worship, maybe number three, hundred, ninety nine. But no, he stayed true to the course. He kept doing this task with some people say that doesn't seem very spiritual. I'd rather have a spiritual thing like maybe lead worshiper preacher. Something like that. Don't want be a bus driver. But you realize that hit. That bus driver not fulfilled his call as a servant. That kid would have never heard the word of God. It would have never gotten to that place where he would have given US life to Christ. Do. Not Sell what it is that you can do short. Everything that we do is part of the kingdom business. A servant also possesses the heart of humility. What is humility? It's not denying your strengths. Simply being honest about you weaknesses. It's when you're so focused on serving other people that you don't even really think about yourself. I Peter Five..

"Living life on the main purpose as designed by God. I am pastor. Tim Golden on these podcasts. Focus is growing relationship with God maturing in the faith through his word stewarding our relationships with one another as well as learning to make disciples as we share the gospel of Jesus Christ each day highlights one of these facets of spiritual character growth and stewardship. So be sure to come back each day to grow a strong and healthy walk with the Lord. Now let's see what the Holy Spirit wants to show us today. Well Good Morning and welcome to this episode of worship Wednesday where we like to take a look at how we can improve. Our worship powered is that we can ignite the passion For Jesus within our own hearts with our own lives so that our words as well as our lives becoming the testimony of our worship impressed to him. But I want to do today is actually WanNa share a situation with you not an actual account or something happened to happen a long time ago after about one hundred almost actually Yeah pipe out one hundred and fifty years ago or so With a man who was born just a little over two hundred years ago and this gentleman's name was Joseph Scrivner. She's Joseph scriven and this was a man who was born in Ireland but who later found himself in Canada and he was mainly from a Mary well to do family the afford him a very nice education he was very well respected in Ireland where he lived and he had opportunity really touch people's lives even later in Canada where he lived. He was a tutor to children. He took care of widows often worked for no money Would even give people a shirt off his back and he would even do things for people uh specifically that could not afford in fact. There was a man who had seen him once carrying a sawn one hand and a Sawhorse and the other as he was walking down the road and he said now I think I'll hire that man to cut me some would and his friend sitting next him said you wouldn't be able to afford him because he only cuts would for those who cannot afford to pay and so. This was the kind of man that Joseph was but despite his good upbringing and despite his character life was not always good for Joseph. There's some tragedy that affected his life Now too uncommon from where we are standing right now though the bridge. I'm sure looked different. And it wasn't this river is. This is a New Hampshire and he was in Ireland at the time. But what happened was he had like. Many people found a woman that he knew he wanted to marry and they had dated for a while and they had gotten their wedding plans together. And we're all set for the big day and the day before they were out together and they were going across the river and While his fiancee was on horseback going across the bridge she fell off her horse and into the river where shalt drowned Joseph. All he could do watch from the other side helplessly unable to do anything to help her. He was filled with all kinds of saw in in the midst of that he found himself then Taking traveling and all in all had brought him to Canada and while he was in Canada as I said he did many things and be built quite a name for himself there as a man who truly had heart for others and in the midst of that he had fallen in love again to a woman named Lisa and they were also preparing to get married and unfortunately she became ill with pneumonia and she is well ended up passing before they could Get married and in the midst of all of this tragedy. Health also became an issue and Joseph at one point and found himself in the hospital himself stricken l. yet a friend that came in to visit him and upon visiting him. The friend had noticed piece of paper with some writing on it sitting next to him. We asked Iosefo was and Josephson. Just something between the Lord Ni- that we have written and now joke wasn't a diary type thing. He was actually writing this for his mother to bring comfort to her. Who by the way still lived in Ireland at the time but what we see written on that piece of paper was something that came out of the very heart of worship that Joseph had for God. There's probably one of the most well him next to amazing grace. How Great Thou- art and his stood the test of time. The words that he had wrote that day on that piece of paper were what we now know as the him. What a friend we have in Jesus in the first verse of that goes with a friend we have in Jesus all our sins in griefs to bear what a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer over what piece we often forfeit O. What needless pain we bear all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer and so what we find happen out of the midst of these moments in his life. That were filled with Great sorrow for him. We find a him that has stood the test of time for two hundred for fifty two hundred years. Now that many people know that many people can sing by row. And even though we don't always understand why we go through difficult times knowing that there's a God who is able to intervene and keep those things from happening. Why for some reason or another? He still allows them to happen whether it be sickness whether it be death whether it be a virus does going on right now but the truth of the matter is will we still bring things to the Lord and prayer. Will we still trust him? You see because there's one thing God cares about more than my comfort and that's the eternal soul of another and what we see through the course of time with this poem that Joseph scriven had scribbled on a piece of paper is that we have seen people over generations who have been in. The clutches of depression have found peace through the song we've found people have contemplated suicide who did not go through with it because of the comfort that they found in these words we find people who've gone through incredible anxiety to somehow find a way to keep on keeping on because of the encouragement and the challenge they found in the scriptures and found themselves getting before their face up to God and casting their cares upon him in fact if we look at Scripture we find a Sam Chapter Fifty five or twenty to assess cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you. He will never let the righteous be shaken. I Peter Five seven cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. God's desires not that you'd be shaking God's desire is that we turn to him with a heart of praise with the heart of worship and seek him in the midst of adversity praise. God when everything is going well but what happens when things begin to follow apart. What happens when it feels like the rug has been ripped out from under us? Does our faith fall by the wayside or do we choose to say much like job at no matter? What comes you know I will serve you. I will love you. And in that he receives praise and honor. I would challenge today to do that. In fact I would also challenge you as Thursday is the National Day of Prayer. That you take time to get before. God prayer it. There's been this ad aspect of complaining and questioning the take time. Just leave that to God and say God I choose to trust you. I choose to leave this in your hands and let you have your way and to also seek my Catholic nation. I'd be hassle this whole virus on behalf of But do take time to get before you cast your cares on him because he really truly does care for you. Eddie cares for each. "Jesus Christ found in the epistle without exception refers to those who are saved regardless of what we may interpret the warning to be. We must accept the fact that it refers to people who are saved now. Peter is talking about those who have say people who can go back to the mud can go back to the vomit. Go back to the world after having been set free by Jeez and then being overcome and Plateau is the word Be caught like efficient and ned and it's interesting even John Macarthur. Who is a five point? Calvinism it has studied Bible in regard to the Greek word EPA dose. What he writes. The knowledge of Christ emphasized here is not a superficial knowledge or Amir surface awareness of the fax about Christ but a genuine personal sharing of the life of life with Christ. Yep He did step in it based on repentance from sin and personal faith in him guess where he says this in Chapter One. When describing the believer epinal but we get to chapter two verse. Twenty three twenty two and he's the same word of those who fall away. It's crickets thinking about the word there. Because it doesn't fit his doctrine he's changed his doctrine and fit with the Bible folks so anyway. It's interesting when we look at these these teachings from the Scripture here. They're very very very clear and again. He says they're entangled. I'm sorry if after they've escaped by knowing Lord Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled. You can go back to the world and according to Peter you can even get to the point where forget you wherever even saved you. Forget that you're washing your sins. You can be back in the mud in the pigsty. Were that's kind of where the prodigal son was and he was dead. He was in a dead state in though he was a child before that he had to come back to have life again. And it's interesting. The word Pailin again means once more overcome again after having been set. Free speaking of the context there. Now it's interesting as well because when you go to the end of the second Peter in chapter three versus seventeen and eighteen. This what Peter says and by the way he warns about those. Who are twisting Paul's teachings about God's grace into a license for morality k? And I believe that's those who don't give the warnings who don't give the warnings that you need to abide in Christ. So it's important that listening to how he ends his Epistles Second Peter. Three seventeen eighteen therefore dear friends. Since you have been forewarned be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless of the lawless and faw from your secure position he's not wanting all believers to biding. Christ he's warning. Those who have a secure position we do have eternal security. We do here at good flight ministries. I teach chapel that we do have eternal security. We're secure in Christ through faith in Christ if you're trusting Jesus right now he's your Lord and Savior. You're biting him. You're looking at him as you learn a savior. You're in Christ praise God but it's a conditional eternal security if you turn away and become apostate the Bible promises no security for the apostate therefore your friends. You've been forewarned beyond your guard so that you may not be carried away by the lawless the lawless and fall from your secure position. Here's the point. Some say twenty three twenty two Israeli referring to the false prophets and not to the believers. They're targeting others argue it's referring to those who are just escaping. That's the context. But you know what folks guess what? The end result is the same even if it was referring to false prophets. Guess what the very ending warning second. Peter Chapter three and then it would be saying by the way that false prophets had a knowing relationship with Jesus had been set free from the crafts in the world and so forth but even if it had been speaking of them a second Peter Three seventy eighteen he wore warns that the believers can be carried away to in Greek episodes in the same direction carried away by the era of the lawless and fall from their secure position. So these warnings apply to all of us got his not partial and we need to continue in the faith abiding. Christ the Bible States. I love what Peter says. It says he says we're kept by the power of God. We are kept by this protected. We have security Christ's no snatches out of hands. Amen note neither heighten. Depres power near the create thing that separates the love of God which crises. You'd have to worry tonight that someone could snatch God's has your secure and Christ who faith you have to run or walk away from an commit apostasy but guess what Peter says. We're protected by the power of God through faith. I Peter Five. We are kept but it's through. Faith were saved by faith and guess what we continue to be saved. By faith continued. Faith the Bible says faith withdraws back by so we'll have no.

"Gotta learn how to fight like a Christian and the way you fight like a Christian as you fight with the word of God because the word of God is the sword of the spirit and then so I one on my list is. I'm complete in Christ so that means I'm complete if I'm single. I don't need to have a husband be complete. I'm complete if I'm a widow. I can hang out with married people. I don't need to feel like everybody else feels. I'm complete if I don't have a college degree matter of fact I'm completed but didn't even graduate high school. We are complete not in the way we look are the job we have our who we know are the label in our clothes or what side of the tracks we live on weight are complete in. Christ amen. So now you're getting just a little bit taller. I can feel when you start to know who you are in. Christ you go from this man by the time you go out of here now. You're going to be like. Don't mess with me. God can't I'm alive with Christ? I liked that when I'm alive. I have the peace of God that passes understanding. I have the greater one living in me. Greater is he that is in me than he. That's in the world I am the righteousness of God in Christ. I am sanctified. I am redeem. I am justified. I am holy all of these things. We are in Christ. And it's true and you need to do your homework. Say This is my list because I did my homework. Thirty some odd years ago and I dug every one of these scriptures out and I've got scripture references for every one of them and I wrote them out probably at that time in Longhand and this means something to me because I worked for it and I dug it out. I studied that but one of the problems we have today. Is WE WANT EVERYBODY TO SPOON? Feed US everything and then there's no. There's no effort that we put into it. There's no work that we put into it so it doesn't really mean that much to us. That's why I am on a rampage to get people to study the word of God far themselves. It's good to go listen to other people but the best way that you can get the most benefit out of this is to take. Some notes are by the CDs from this and listen to them over and over because by the time you come back here in the morning you won't remember ten percent of what I said tonight. They say that that's a scientific fact. I don't know if it is or not. But that within twenty four hours you don't remember ten percent of what you heard. That's why you can listen to something over and over and here's something new every time that you listen to it but how many of you agree that. We just want things to easy hope. She don't go over tonight. I'm tired I'll tell you what when I got rooted and grounded in the word. It was back in the seventies and eighties and during an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. They called it a word explosion. I mean we just were crazy for the word I mean. We'd sit in three and four our services. I may not an hour and thirty minute service but have been like you gotta be kidding and just the word the word the word the word the word the word the word and we need the word and we need the Holy Spirit to keep things balanced all word no spirit it can get kind of dry all spirit. No word to get kind of crazy. We need both so all these things that we are in. Christ God's child I'm God's workmanship I'm new creature a spirit being. I'm a believer on and on and on. We have to believe that we have these things and the more that you tell yourself you have them the more that you will believe that you have them now rooted. What does it mean to be rooted? Well a tree that has deep roots will not blow over on a storm. Well it the wind doesn't blow it over at my blow a few leaves off of it. But it's not going to blow over and likewise when you're rooted in the truth of God's Word Life for example if you if you are rooted in the love of God and that's one of the things that the possible Paul pray for the Church was that they would be rooted and grounded in the love of God and that they would know the love of God to such a degree that nothing could ever take it away from them nothing no kind of suffering no peril no persecution. Nothing threatening nothing. They've got nothing that nothing can separate us from the love of God. That's in Christ. Jesus Amen and I can tell you when you're going through literal hell and you can sit and say God. I don't understand this but I know you love me. I know you love me. I know you love me. I know you love me. Let me tell you it will strengthen you and it will get you through stuff that you would have never ever thought that you could have went through because the love of God is the healing for our broken Mus and it gives you strength and power and I remember twenty some odd years ago when I had breast cancer and thank God. I don't have any cancer either now. Praise the Lord when I had when I had cancer back then the Rav few things that God said I want to hear you saying all the time and one of them was I know God loves me not God. Why don't you love me or God? Don't you love me but I know that God loves me? They rooted and grounded in the love of God. Another thing the Bible says in Colossians two seven is have the roots of your being firmly in deeply planted in him fixed and founded in him being continually built up in him established in your faith just as you were taught and abound in it and overflow and we need to be rooted in these in Christ principles. How many times have I said out loud out of my mouth? I don't know maybe a million I am the righteousness of God in Christ. Because I'll tell you I started out. I felt terrible about myself. I've been sexually abused by my dad and I grew up feeling like I was no good and that it was my fault and that I just felt terrible about myself. How many of you spend a lot of years feeling terrible about yourself? Well you need to start confessing who you are in Christ. God loves me. I'm his special child. I'm the apple of his eye. I am God's favorite and see that's true because with God. We're all his favorites but he really means that when he says your his favorite. God's got his eye on me. You need to say things like that. God loves me. I'm in Christ I'm born again. I'm filled with the spirit. I have gifts I have talent. Let me taste them. You'll begin differently about yourself. You'll begin to act differently and the great things that you have on the inside of you will begin to blossom and come out amen and I love this one. Be Rooted in your faith rooted and grounded in your faith. I believe this is what I believe and I'm not changing my mind. I don't care what it looks like. I don't care how long it takes. This is what believe I'm not changing my mind and we need to really be firm in that in the days that we're living in this is what I believe and I don't care what you say you are not going to get me off of it. I will go to the grave believing this because let me ask you a question when it comes right down to it. What do we have besides God? And what is going to be left? Besides him when all of this is over nothing and we don't need to be bound down to the world. We need to be standing firm in faith that God is alive and then he will take care of us and meet our needs. Then you went up tomorrow night. We are going to have some fun to moment and tomorrow morning and Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon. I Peter Five nine this has been talking about how the enemy comes against those every chance he gets withstand him be firm in faith against his on sale. I love that when the devil comes against you. Don't wait three weeks to review him. Don't even wait three hours. The Bible says resist him at his onset. Can I give you a little phrase that will be very beneficial to you? Shut up devil. Everybody say that shot up. Devil

"peter five" Discussed on Family Health

"Now. Let's get into this week's episode picture this. You're fourteen year old son who's been a challenge over the last few years comes home from school outing and informed you that he has a girlfriend. You're concerned because you know you. I haven't talked with him yet. About dating relationships now picture your thirteen year old daughter who asks the question about homosexuality marriage and she wants to know what you would do if a family member were to come out and she's asking because she's questioning in your sexuality and afraid of your response what about your eight year old daughter son or daughter there playfulness and carefree view the world all of a sudden disappears overnight and it would it came from was this website that they looked at graphic videos sexual scenes of their FA favorite animated characters with additional odd sexual parts that that five minute exposure is now completely confused them and they don't know what to do with it. It's stings we then as we wash our children just kind of explain as they're just growing up but something else is is looming if you will and we don't know what are your thoughts and feelings about these stories what would you do you. Could we catch it all. We have to start with some foundational beliefs. This is where it's critical that we know we believe what does that call. That's actually our theology. Have we taught our children about these. These issues that they're going to face the struggles they're going to face the temptations. You'RE GONNA face. We actually need to have an answer regarding view of let's say homosexuality <hes> and it needs to be Biblical and Compassionate we'd be proactive and teaching in drawing boundaries around pornography its effects and repercussions actually the phrase I would use his. We need a theology of sex. Have you ever sat around and listen to a group of teenage boys talk <hes> the way they talk about each other girls relationships. What's interesting is when you hear them talk and you hear them banter and especially when they don't realize they're being listened to they reveal a lot? They reveal a lot about what they believe their individual theologies. He's beliefs. This is their ethos this really really matters and it's revealed through the way we live out our live. Our lives same for us as parents. We can say one thing but the honest truth is our kids know what we believe by our actions <hes> <hes> so the importance of a theology of sex is critical now. We've done a good job I think in our church cultures to kind of focus on preserving innocence but have we actually prevented ignorance doctrine Nancy NC peercy has an amazing book two thousand eighteen book called loved by body <hes> just until then there was nothing like it and in this book she argues that is the separation of the person one with moral all in legal standings from the body which is the physical being has given rise to host of troubling problems the separation of the person from the physical realities of the body. It's given rise to the arguments for homosexuality transgenderism abortion assisted suicide euthanasia Taneja and other troubling issues a quote from another powerful influence on our thinking in the Christian world is Christopher West from his theology the body from Pope John Paul the Second West highlights the importance of theology of sex when he explains the sexual embrace is the foundation of human life itself the family and intern culture itself spring from this embrace in short as sex goes so go marriage in the family as marriage and family go sogo civilization. Such logic does not bode well for culture. It's no exaggeration to say that the task of the twentieth century was to rid itself of the Christian sexual ethic if our cultures to be reclaimed Christians must us I find a way to demonstrate to the modern world that a biblical sexual ethic is not too cramped prudish list of prohibitions. It is often assumed to be here that this is powerful. We cannot and eliminate sexuality but how often do we act like it doesn't exist either an action or in conversation we must address sex and sexuality at every age from our little little one and two year olds all the way up in my book. I can't say that that's actually what I focused on. How do you have those age appropriate? Conversations from a biblical Worldview at each of those different stages birth to five is critical it lays a foundation six to ten is probably the most critical that in a period of time that most parents tend to miss because they're ready to start investing in that maybe after twelve or thirteen which oftentimes is too late. Now researchers actually showing US seventy percent of teens have had sex so we can't ignore the fact that this is happening and that they're possibly going to go there so we must prepare them. We must prepare them for the the dangerous but we don't need to prepare them by handing them things. You know what that is. We need action repair them with knowledge <hes> with an understanding a theology. This is so so critical I wanna run through some foundational things to think about. I S lineas. Four three through eight says God's will is for you to be holy. So stay away from all sexual sin then each of you will control his own body and live in holiness honor not in lustful passion like the Pagans who do not know God in his ways never harm or cheat Fella believer in this matter by violating his wife for the Lord of NGOs all such sense as we have solemnly warned you before God has called us to live holy lives not impure lives therefore anyone who refuses to live by these rules is not disobeying human teaching but his rejecting God who gives his the Holy Spirit to you. Donnas truth is were intended for celibacy outside of marriage and a celebration of that the sexual experience within marriage. They're very clear boundaries titus two to three eight and then eleven and twelve says teach the older men to be temperate worthy of respect self controlled and sound and faith love and endurance likewise teach the older women to be reverend in the way they live not to be slanders pictures too much wine but to teach what is good then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children to be self controlled impure too busy at home to be kind and to be subject to their husbands so that no one will maligned the word of God similarly encouraged the young men to be self controlled in everything set them in example by doing what is good in your teaching show integrity seriousness the soundness of speech that cannot be condemned so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say a about us and the verse eleven twelve say for the grace of God has appeared that offer salvation to all people it teaches us to say no to ungodly similarly passions into live self controlled upright and godly lies in this present age age the way we worship in our God with our bodies is to the discipline of self control. This is so beautiful difficult and even exciting it is within our grasp ecclesiastes seven sixteen three hundred says do not be over righteous. Neither be over wise why destroy yourself do not be over wicked and do not be a fool why die before your time. It is good to grasp the one and not let go of the other the man who fears God who avoid all extremes so my appeal to you as to have celebration with chastity. What is this hits feasting was self control desires is part of God's design and <hes> we were meant to to enjoy sex with self control within boundaries? This has to be taught to our children. This is such a critical <hes> part of their growing up in story in our teaching the difference between having sex and making love the Satan in his glorified not God when a sexual union is coming out of lies selfishness luster disobedience Romans twelve hundred minds this to offer your body's living sacrifice holy pleasing to God. This is your true in proper worship to truth is that our sexuality in our spirituality or intimately tied and they got his glorified when his name in Word or honored in a relationship i John Four twelve be tells us that if we love one another God lives. Is In us and his love is made complete in US just beautiful. How can we live that out? How can you teach that how we can that be an example now getting into a fun passages Song Solomon Five sixteen reads his mouth mouth is sweetness itself? He is desirable in every way such. A women of Jerusalem is my lover my friend. How can we dismiss desire a sin with diverse like this in the Bible and the honest truth? Is We cannot you you were made to desire you were made to enjoy the sexual relationship within boundaries an example these boundaries set out in proper five fifteen where it says trink water from your own. Well share your love only with your wife life throughout scripture we see the protective boundary of marriage China man and a woman as the proper place for sexual relationship. There are no exceptions or exemptions. I Peter Five eight says stay alert. Don't watch out for your great enemy the devil he prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. This is where your story really really matters your mistakes. Your Pass your traumas. The thing you have faced the things you haven't faced the truth has gotten minute sex that God loves sex in God did not mess it up we did and we've got to actually teach your children at age appropriate conversations from the beginning of when they come into our our our care <hes> honest conversations and even revealing some of our own hurts and failures is a critical part of leading our children well. So what does the Bible say says a lot. Can we go into these conversations. Can we encourage urged them to make wise decisions. Can we be a place of of Knowledge Fountain of Information as even look at research in data to help encourage them to be men and women that actually are above reproach that have integrity that have boundaries see this is critical SA- critical as a mom as a dad as a leader in it really still keep saying this comes back to it starts with us our story where we come from and how we've dealt with some of that and then how we then then for that out of Newark Children and out into our conversations in life with them so you're theology of sex is critical next. We're GONNA be talking about theology marriage. Why because that's the context for the the playing out if that and before then it's actually is a huge topic but its boundaries? It's actually can I draw a line in actually not cross it so.

"If you listen that you will subscribe drive to the podcast so that when I do <hes> nother episode you will be informed off each episode going forward and also you can listen to all of the previous previous ones my prayer today is that this will touch your life as we begin to fight harder against the puns off the enemy enemy. The devil is making all effort to bring doubt you know minds to cause us to question of faith and if he can get us to hub doubt no minds and to question of faith he'll shake the very foundation on which we stand and so as we push back against him we need a join hands on heart together and fight did that really seems to be turning the heat on the children of God in his effort to sway our minds from having confidence in the God of our salvation. If you notice like I do my friends it is safe to say we have never seen more sickness and death among the children of God than we are seeing them. Today we have not seen more broken homes broken in marriages broken relationship between husbands and wives and brothers and sisters and parents and children never like we are seeing them now we have not seen more disgruntled disgruntled and confused churchgoers than we are seeing them. Today we have not seen more confusion in religion in what churches believe and teats than we are seeing them today as the mud as a result of that we're causing more confusion in the world. Never have we seen more destructions and disturbances in an out of the church than we are seeing them today may become on guarded on alert and complacent mixed with some level of navy believing that just being Kristen's puts us in a safe place and then we have nothing to worry about that would be true if the devil was not loose it would be true if he was not fighting against us. It would be true. We're not easy targets of the devil because from the beginning he knows he couldn't do anything to affect God personally and so he started is battle with God's creation and today we are prime targets of the enemy but we are encouraged where encouraged by God's word to stay focus keeper highs on the prize keep pushing forward keep pressing toward the mark for the price of the high calling of God which is to be found in Christ Jesus. The battle is on it is not going to get easier. The closer we get to the coming coming up the Lord the harder the devil is going to fight and so we must equip ourselves and be ready to take him on in the heat of any bottle that he launches against against us. We're GONNA be this one thing in mind when the battles are raging when the devil is coming left right on send away the sickness are deaf or discouragment despondency heartaches grief pain pain suffering whatever it might be beer this one thing in mind greater izzy that is in You ben E that is in the world and so this podcast is saying to my friends everywhere square take heart keep the faith. Don't give up. Don't quit. Don't retreat don't surrender. The Devil wants you to do that because he wants to to discourage you and if you can discourage you he'll just roll you over. Never have we seen the struggles that we are seeing today and so we can't be complacent. We can't lose focused because the devil is not losing focus. Sometimes I said before we we might think because we are Kristen's. We're now in a safe place. The opposite is true becoming becoming a Christian which is the best thing that could happen to one but it makes you and me prime target up the devil because we belong to God and we become easy targets but thank God that he has given us covering and protection is given us an open door that we can run to the rock for refuge and so we can find a safe place if we're not careful we develop a false sense of security. Thinking that we do not have to make the commitment necessary to build a solid foundation so that we can stand against the wilds of the Devil the Bible tells us that we should stand and having don all to stand that we might be able to stand in this evil day the days are evil like none we have seen before the hearts of men have become even more desperately wicked than there were but greater izzy that is in you then e that is in the world and so winning and victory belong to you they belong to Jesus and when he wins you and I also win. We're always in a better position to win a barrel when we are aware of the plots ploys and strategic approaches of the enemy pita tells us to be aware of the constant attacks of the adversary he said in First Peter Five eight to nine be sober be vigilant because your adversary the devil as a roaring lion walks about seeking whom he may devour whom resists steadfast in the faith knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world what he's saying my brothers my sis my friends. Wherever you are listening to this podcast whatever you are going through? You're not the only one going through it. Others have been through before you and others will go through it out to you so the same God who have them in the past and the same God will help others in the future is the same God will hurt you today Eh and so again my thought is take heart cheap the faith don't quit. Don't become discouraged. Don't give up hole faster profession of your faith to be sober suggests just being discreet it implies to be alert to be watchful to be aware of your environment and be aware of the attacks of the devil be vigilant implies to be awake and watching a Konta the payers in his definition of the of the term of the word vigilant he say's as a metaphor it means to give strict attention be cautious. He continues to say take heed need less through remission and indolence some destructive calamity suddenly overtake you. The Devil is coming from every angle and the Christians like you and me than those who trust and believe in God should never be caught by surprise with any attack of the devil we should always always be looking for him to come from any direction direction and to throw anything at us. The Bible tells us that we should mixture that we put on the whole arm of God that we might be able to quince the fiery darts of the wicked because he's going to come come from every direction we ought not to be found unaware of deploys on the plots and the coming craftiness of the enemy that is coming at US constantly it constantly constantly and if you don't run to the Rock and with our run to the feet of Jesus to constantly get a supply of grace we will be overrun by the enemy. I am encouraging my friends to make sure that a <unk> spritual tons of filled that we are fully guarded with all the Almer of God and I'm fully equipped with the word of God the sort of the spirit so that we can put up a fight because the devil is not printing and neater should we pita continues to encourage the believers to lose faith in spite of all the there were throws accu he says but the God of all grace who have called us onto his eternal glory by Christ Christ Jesus after you have suffered for awhile make you perfect stab wish are to make you stay boo and then strengthen often you if anyone can speak to this with clarity and conviction it is Peter Himself who was stalled by Christ's to look out for the devil. Keep an open open. I the devil is coming at you. Jesus told him he said Simon Simon Behold Satan have desire top view that he may sift you as we eat but Jesus says but I have prayed for you that your faith fail nut and with assurance e continues to say and when you are converted go strengthen your Brethren Luke twenty to thirty one to thirty two that suggest my friends and although we are in a batter unfolded double come to us as hard hard as he has and as often as he has the victory still belongs to you because we are positioning ourselves in the same same place where Jesus told Peter in spite of the devils demand as a matter of fact that that statement that Satan have desire to have you suggests the devil has made a request by demand he wants to sift Peter as wheat and based on what slow us are experiencing today we we can say it with shorty that the devil is doing everything he can to see if he can sift you as we but like Jesus prayed for Peter so is he doing doing the same for you and me today that our faith will not fail that we will stand on the promise of of God that we will take heart and we will keep the fate because the battle is not for the strong the race is not for the swift but for those who will persevere and cheap on fighting the victory shall be yours. The Devil is unrelenting lanting challenging us with sicknesses and death broken relationship and much more to cook to the very core of fundamental beliefs in God. and His power to heal and deliver he wants us to question where is God in these times of the spare. How does God allow some of these things to happen whereas God when I need him? How how am I going to pull through these Barrows and these grieve your stymied? How am I going to survive the onslaught of the enemy? He wants to put those questions in our minds and he wants to to say when things look like they're falling apart. He say we're is your God. Where is your God and if he can cause us to question of faith then he might shake the very foundation we stand on however my friends the Christians fate must be routed deeper than the attack a sickness and disease and even to death itself? We cannot lose faith. We're under attack is matter fact. The more the attack comes the louder would need to cry on this the more we ought to hold onto the promises of God that we.

"Our first Peter five six or seven humble yourselves four hundred God's mighty hand. But he might lift you up and do time cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Rosa Parks said I've learned over the years that when one's mind is made up this diminishes fear. Knowing what must be done does away with fear. You know, it does away with worry too. Fear and worry, I guess their best friends, but you know, when something's kind of coming at you. And you just you know, it's like lay man Lee. And you just go, you know, what I'm just going to deal with it. I'm not gonna worry about it. We're going to deal with it. Once you just set your jaw and your resolute, you set your mind and your resolute, knockout, whatever it is. It's coming at you. We're going to deal with this. We can deal with this. We're going to deal with this. Then you're in a position mentally to do that for the first time. But we spend an immense amount of our energy fretting about what might be. Only to find out it never was Dale Carnegie used to say eighty percent of what we worry about never occurs. I'd say that's about right, really. Sometimes stuff does occur. And it can make you afraid. Or can make you worry, which is I guess a form of fear. All of us face that. But then you just go. No, you know, what I don't really wanna have to deal with this. But I have to deal with it so Dame. Oh. Bring it baby. Let's go game. Oh, when you do that changes everything open phones here. Triple eight eight to five five two two five. Diane is in Boston mass, high Diane. How are you? I'm great.
