"Me sad. Yeah. I really wanted them to work. I was rooting for them. Yeah. I love Tiffany. And they say really happy. I really wanted this to work. I was invested. But all right, come on. What? I was living for this. I was happy she found love. I thought this would be like her first big Hollywood relationship. And it would open the door for more because, you know, she doesn't just hand her heart out to just anybody. Yeah. So I thought this would be her training wheels to figure it all out. But come on y'all. I can look at common like I can look at Jamie Fox. Ain't nobody gonna settle that man down. Okay, that made angle married until he is 79. And he knows exactly that. Am I wrong? You know what I mean? Right. Right. I often feel like a lot of times, and no disrespect to Tiffany, I'm just speaking in hypotheticals. You can look at a man and you can see that I almost said that. We know what you can look at a van and see that he allergic to commitment. Why don't we believe them when we see them? Again, it's like this idea that somehow love love can change someone. And it can, but you can't go into it with that expectation. I think that you have to meet someone where they are and hear what it is they're telling you. We don't know what those conversations were like behind closed doors, but she sounds disappointed. And she sounds hurt. So I feel like she had an expectation that didn't get met. And unfortunately, we will do that. We will think, well, love is going to conquer all. And there's more to it than successful relationships than love. Yeah, well, obviously, those conversations weren't. Well, I'm gonna say, you know, people come into your life for a reason. Yes. And I feel like, hey, you know, everything isn't forever and ever and ever. It's just not. And I feel like I feel like they had a great time while they were together. 100% felt like they did. Well, you guys, we had a great time. We were together with you. So come back tomorrow. We're talking to Zendaya. You won't believe what she said about Tom Holland and check out nightly pop tonight. At 1130, bye guys. Bye. Bye. Good show. You know she was just.

"Are you there? Are you back? Sorry about that, guys. I don't know what happened, but here I am. Did you dial back in? I hit a dial back. Again. Look, I think we lost a lot of time, but I need you to show these two of these protein balls because these are amazing. Yeah, the protein ball. So these are right here. What are these made of? And are these better than protein bars? Yeah, you know a lot of protein bars are loaded with sugar, they have added ingredients and what we can do is remove the sugar and make sure there's enough protein. The majority of protein bars are actually carbohydrate bars, and they're going to spike your blood sugar and cause you to be more hungry three hours later. Plus, they really don't provide the protein we need. So these protein balls have grass fed beef isolate in them, which is a chemical free collagen. Some peanut butter, little coconut oil, some almond flour. And you can use a keto dark chocolate chip that's not gonna spike your blood sugar and you're gonna get that. Right. Okay. So go for it. It's all about starting. When you start your day with sugar, whether it's oats or oat milk or a green juice, I think most people just assume, oh, this is healthy because it's using less water. This is healthy because it's a plant based ingredient, but a lot of times, if the base ingredient is carbohydrates, whether it's in green form or liquid form, like an oat milk. Apple, you're up that roller coaster, crashing down and having a hard time staying out of craving to snack. Okay, well look, we had tried to guess for everybody. What is healthier in the morning? So we want you to weigh in on this. Are you going with the triple seed pudding are the oatmeal? I said the seed pudding. I said the oatmeal. We are going with the triple seed, the triple C putting because it's chia flax and hemp. So that's protein fat and fiber. And it has zero effect on your blood sugar. Don't do it. So we're a spike in a crash. Are we gone flax? Our oat milk. We.

"Kelly, Kelly. Can you hear us? Uh oh. Well, we might have we might be going on, but she made these protein balls, so why not snack on them? We're gonna be standing here waiting for her Internet to come back. I'm gonna get snagging. Well, I think what Kelly was gonna take us through is just the choices to make. There's like all of these different milks and juices and what are the best choices, and she was gonna instruct us on what we think is the healthiest of the two. Well, I know that there was this big thing with triple C puddings and chia seed pudding as opposed to oatmeal, but I'm kind of an oatmeal guy because of the fiber and because of how it makes me feel full. Without eating too much. Right. But I have a feeling she's going to tell us that the chia is healthier. I don't know. What are you going to do? Well, if you don't tell us right now, is he protein balls? What do you think is more healthy? A flax milk or oat milk? I'm gonna say probably flaxseed. I feel like the things that come from seeds versus oats are always gonna be kind of healthier. But you know, we don't know. We have no idea. We know he comes back. I always say, by the way, this woman is rich. The richer, somebody is. The Internet services. Why does that all kinds of things and it doesn't work? Okay, but what about juice? Are you a juice guy or are you a protein shake guy? If I'm going to drink something, I'm going to go straight to protein because of what it adds to your life. Does that work out a lot? So I need a.

"Probably not, but in due time, I would have been like, you know, a lot of women out there not on reality TV feel like they're stuck and they can't leave their husbands because of financial issues. But here's the thing, reality show and there's cracks in the foundation. You're not gonna make it anyway, okay? Whether you're on a reality show or not. Do you have any regrets in regrets about your journey as a housewife? I mean, no, I really don't. I've made some stupid mistakes and done stupid things and we're stupid outfit. You know? Said things I maybe more than anything like just popping off and not giving people a chance. You know, but I also learned from it. I watched myself from the outside. I'm like, oh, I eat. That ain't good. So I learned from it. I try to learn from it. I make, I'll make the same mistake about four times. And we are here for it, honey. We are here for it. Tamron, thank you so much. We really appreciate it. Thank you. And you guys, if you taste in a pond. Two teas in a pod, you guys. It's out right now. I hard radio. Check it out. It's so damn good. Coming up, our new interview with the cast of Jersey Shore, why ish is about to hit the fan next. This podcast everything. Oh my God, I gotta check it out. The Jersey Shore has a lot to celebrate. Snooki's back. Mike's off probation and the parents need a serious break. So let's get this party started. Is this considered the United States still? Yes, it is. Oh, my goodness. Whose idea was this? You know, in the key. Follow with mine. This particular season, big daddy stitches off probation. It's been 8 years since I've been on supervision technically. And we wanted to take this into international waters and what better place to be taken international than the Florida international waters mic. Did you miss me? Be honest, are you happy about this comeback? What made you want to return? In general, I think I just missed my roommate so much and you know not being there having fomo and then watching season. I need to come back and you know I think I was in the right head space to come back. Finally after like two seasons I was able to drink again and she was back and I was like, meatball shenanigans. I wear underwear now. Good for you. Jenny, congratulations. Do you of course on your engagement? Can I see your ring? Just real quick. Thank you. You go, girl. There's no wedding planning yet. I'm trying to wait for COVID to kind of die down and restrictions to be lifted before anything like that. So we're just living our best engagement life right now. Now Angelina, you've been compared a lot to Kim Kardashian. So what do you think about her dating a Staten Island guy? More like the Rob Kardashian. Shut up, Vinny, your honor. I love it. I gotta tell you. I'm like living for it. Even if you're from Staten Island, you could still get a girl like him. Look at you, Vinny, you could get a girl like him. I thought you were the Kim Kardashian Staten Island. I have to ask, you know, you're hoping to be in magic like. Put it out there. So let's see a move or something. If we had some music, you know, you. Yeah. Can we see a magic Mike move from Vinny? No. This is my off season. I'm very excited to enter the earth..

"Like, you might want to take that out. So I'm sure petty and I joke every day that we're making Friends everywhere we go because we're, you know, you gotta get them on the left and right. But you know me. I have a way with my word, so I'm sure that I'll be pissing lots of people off. That's what I do best. You know what's so interesting because you do not hold back and what's really interesting to me and I'm gonna say this, I applaud you for the way you handle your departure from the show because a lot of times people go bitter Kelly dot. How hard was it? To accept, you know, not being on housewives and moving on to your next chapter. You know what? That's a great question because I'm gonna be really honest about this. It hurt. It is done for a while. It was 12 years of my life and I had a routine that I was doing and I felt rejected. I felt that, you know, it was the beginning of the pandemic and it was hard. It took me a while. I'm not bitter. I love bravo. They've given me so much in such a great platform. And I was able to build two great businesses on the show. So I can't be bitter. You know, I got my ass hurt a little bit, but you know to move on. Like I move on. I have great things in my life. And you know, a lot of people don't realize there's actually, you know, as a housewife, even when you're not actively on the show you see how you're still on the show. Thank you so much forever. It's like you have that stamp. And you know, there's so much life after housewives. And then, you know, it's the whole back and forth. I know you actually just did the ultima girl strip, so it's like a whole other housewife situation. So how was that for you? Yeah. You know what it was really fun. I was a little bit afraid to go because brandy was on it and her and I were not in a good spot. So I thought, oh, gosh, here we go. But we ended up being really good friends. And it was a great experience and it kind of got me back into it to little for a little while. And then I thought, oh my God, how did I do this for 12 years? How did I do this because my time, my time off has been less stressed than enjoyment, you know, which is spending lots of time at home and now I'm like full throttle. We're going full throttle with this girl's trip. It was insane. As you know, Cynthia, it was insane. Oh, I know all too well. Don't do it. But I felt like they missed the perfect opportunity. "If it happened, let's say hypothetically, you would feel like you could live with if Rick Fox walks in here. Why did you pick one? I got a call a name. If you on vacation and your man cheated 7 years ago, you on vacation and some finance brother comes up to you and are you going one for one are you gonna attend for tab on that? All I will say is this. Like I said before, you know, you did what you did. I forgave you, but in the back of my mind, it still always. That's what she said. You know, I'm not just gonna make it happen. It's in your life. But I'm just saying if it does. What? Where are you? Like I said earlier. We know who raps it is. We know. Okay, I'm just saying now you know a lot of women feel the same way. Because I think a lot of women feel the same way. But a lot of times I feel like if I had an infidelity happened to me and I was cheated on and the disrespect happened because I think it would be more of the disrespect. Right. I wouldn't get back in a relationship with somebody unless I truly knew. Right. I could move past it. Right. Because living with that would be hard. Yeah. And it undermines the health of the relationship. If you can't forgive if you're still holding that grudge, then that permeates through everything. It lives there. It lives there. It's in the air. But I do feel like, you know, you know, this is a TV show. So, they're even now. You were a 100%. And by the way, I'm a Scorpio. I would do it in the house. And I will find you looking like my booty in there. I think you were coming home. Up next, we're going live with warmer OC half life camera judge. Who she's ready to put on blast, and will she ever return to this show? It's gonna be good. So don't move. I'd be like, baby, I don't know you. I feel like we've been drinking all day long, but when in Mexico, go for a trial. Full throttle. Let's go. Let's go, bitches. She is a former housewife from The O.C. who knows how to turn up.

"Tense next time she sees common. Plus, and just like that is bringing the drama. Fans are pissed at Miranda and who just got cut from the finale. That is next. And just like that, mister big is just a memory. Chris note was supposed to appear in the season finale of just like that, but that is no more, according to TV line. HBO Max's decision to cut him out comes after sexual assault allegations were made against him by three women. Now, Chris had issued a statement to E. News saying that accusations are categorically false. HBO Max is not commenting, do you think this is the right moves? Yes, I do. I think there are certain things that people get accused of that need to be taken seriously. And even though, yes, we're still in the accusation stage and he hasn't been proven guilty. I think it's something that you definitely want to separate yourself from. When there's multiple accusations multiple potential victims like I definitely think they want to separate the show and the resurgence of the show and all that the show brings in terms of good feelings away from this. But let me ask you a question. And look, I don't mean to say that I don't believe anybody. I'm not saying in this specific instance. But I'm saying there have been multiple times where people have made accusations and then they turn out to be false. What do you do to repair that? What if I lose my job because someone made an accusation and then it comes out as false? Do I get my job back? Do you like it the time? And then feeling that I had to go through because you guys wanted to dissipate yourself from me. How does that work? Now I hear your point and I thought about that as well, but again, when there's multiple people, it feels, it feels a bit more substantive. And so, you know, but I do like, what is the recompense if he turns out to be innocent? His agency dropped him. He's been removed from his other television show. I mean, his life is drastically different, just from the accusations. But I find it interesting that this happens for some people and not for others. Some people get elected with these kinds of truths. That's a great point. And you know, I mean, this is very unfortunate. You know what I mean? And I felt like we just keep just keeps happening over and over again. I feel like, you know, it's kind of sad in a way, because I feel like in terms of the show, the movie, you know, he was such a big part of Carrie's whole story. And.

"Happened so long ago. And this was, you know, this was taken for those of you who don't know, but their tape was stolen from their house. Right. 'cause they didn't pay somebody. $3000. And then they put it out. And it just completely. It was at a really pivotal time in Pam's career. And it derailed a lot of things. And I just wonder if this is possibly where Kris Jenner got the brilliant idea on how to capitalize that. Yeah, you doubled down on that. Okay. I'm confident I asked two minutes and you know it's interesting because a lot of people think that Pam Anderson is going to be heard and it's going to throw her in this spiral, but what we forget is that Pamela Anderson, yes, this must have been so traumatic for her, but what she did back in the day was she flipped it. She and PETA got into Tibet and band together. That's right. Yeah. And it became this really big deal. And she really used this attention this negative attention of her in her most intimate moment, and she came out with a whole pita campaign that still lives today. Yeah. That's true. I think that lifetime and a and E is getting their money together to give Pamela Anderson that check. So she can talk about the side of her side of the story and I think Pamela Anderson will use this momentum to bring light to her causes that we may have forgotten. So I think family this is gonna use this. It's right. I mean, you know, relevance it, there's that expression that all press is good press. You know what I mean? And that has been something that has floated out there in the ether for a very long time. And it's like, if people are talking about you, you take that momentum to direct them to what you want them to talk about. Yeah. And kudos to the casting. I was like, is this her? I know, I know. It doesn't taste crazy. Amazing casting. Well, we know Cynthia gonna be watching the real Pam and Tommy sexy tonight. But you can catch Pam and Tommy is premiering February 2nd on Hulu, and we actually just talked to Sebastian to see if he got any advice from Tommy third leg lead. I thought it was important to research everything I could possibly find to understand about him. I did feel like the respectful thing to do was to just try to reach out and introduce myself and especially when you're playing somebody who is still alive and it's their life. So yeah. I mean killed it. By the way, when he pulled that car over on the PCH, I can't even get into it you guys. I can't watch it on June 2nd. "Would be looking around, like, where did all the black men go? We're switching it up. We're switching it up in sweaty 22. Cory better watch his ass for two reasons. One, the white men are coming in, but two, he went to the game last night, and it looks like he is team Tristan. Check out this move he pulled after the Lakers game where he held up Tristan's Jersey with his number on it. Now this happened right after Tristan apologized to Chloe for all the baby mama drama, but what do you think he's doing? Do you think it's okay? Well, you guys may not agree, but I actually don't have a problem with him holding up the Jersey because here's the thing. Although things obviously didn't work out with Chloe interest. They have a kid together. They have a beautiful baby together. So he's not really going anywhere. He may not be going there with Chloe, but he's not, you know, not going to go in there. But you know what I'm saying? He's not going anywhere. He's still part of the family. They're going to see this guy. So I think it's cool that he still has some kind of cool ally. Brother, relationship with him, 'cause I'm sure he came Friends, so. You know, it's like, hey, we've all been there. Yeah. Our girlfriend talks trash about her man to us. We back her up. We're like, yeah, girl, leave him. She stays and then you're the odd man out. Right, right. Because you're not there for the makeup. We have the makeup. But I agree with Cynthia in the sense that he's not going anywhere. He is their baby's father, and he is going to be a part of their lives. So there's nothing wrong with having that mentality and showing solidarity. I don't know that it was necessary to do it. No, that was extra. That was really extra. That was really it. Do you think that her color was feelings? Yes. It was just unnecessary. You know what I mean? Like, we get it, but like, why? Let me tell you how something. Why? This woman right here, air made it, her husband out of a brothel. Okay, she picked Lamar's ass up out of a brothel. So he owed. So this woman is not running away from somebody who has an issue. Right. I think Tristan Thompson maybe has an issue. I've known sex addicts in my life. I've known people who need validation through that outlet. And I think for her, she's done all the work on herself. So she's not going to go ahead and set this man on fire and have her daughter grow up without somebody who special in her life. Right. Right. I think for this family, they're following her lead in her lead is we're going to keep this cool. We're going to keep this calm. We're going to love him through this. Right. I'm going to back away. But we can still support him. Exactly. And that's grown for business. That is. That's grown. It is. And it's beautiful. It's beautiful because like you said, it really is about the legacy of their daughter. That's it. You know what I mean? That's what she's done or grow up, reading, knowing, hearing about her father. So it is important. And by the way, just do like the rest of us do. Just talk behind everybody's business. What you think in public girls is called the after and call, you know, give me the real tea, 'cause.

"Oh my God. Joining me today to talk all about this mess is essence Atkins. And Cynthia Bailey. We are the group formerly known as the CBR classy bougie ratchet. I'll let you guys figure out who is too. I'm gonna go ahead and call essences classy too. Okay. I'm sorry, are you in a catsuit on daytime TV? All right. I'll leave that right here. Just when Lonnie solely thought Kim and Pete were laying low, new photos pop up everywhere of them enjoying each other's time in The Bahamas. Kim even posted this thirst trap while on vacation. Now, there were reports earlier that Kim and P did everything in groups, you know, so that Kanye wouldn't get upset, but it seems like these two are on this little vacation. It's definitely a couple's scenario. So why do you think the change? I mean, I think because it's time. She already asked the judge to give her back her last name. She didn't want to be west anymore. I think she's making it clear. She's done. She's ready to move on. She's like, we'll even settle the financial aspects of it later. Just give me back Kardashian. I don't want to be a west anymore. And I think this is a bold way to save it and move on. Yeah. She's ready to move on. I mean, when I look at those photos, I see happy. I feel like this man makes her laugh all the time. It looks like they're eating good. It looks like they're drinking good. Looks like they're having good sex. I mean, that's a happy woman. We saw that great sweatpants video. We know why she has this relief on her face. But also, I think, and I might be wrong on this one, but I really do think that when you're dating Kanye West, there was an expectation to be a certain way. No more David and Victoria Beckham first came to America. They couldn't smile. Yes, to be broody. You have to walk around like this. And not put I got an expression anywhere. I feel like Kanye got them into that and he was expecting that all the time for them to put this kind of persona forward. And I think with Pete, Kim can just be herself. Which is really freeing. I mean, ultimately, I know that what makes me feel loved is being able to be myself in to duality. In totality, in totality to truly feel accepted. And I feel like she doesn't have to be in her head about what's appropriate, what's inappropriate? What's works? She's emancipated, and it looks great. It looks great. It does. And I just love seeing her happy. Like, you know, whoever she's with. You know, I think it's yeah, I think it's so great to really just be able to like essence say, just walk into your own genuine self and just have fun. I mean, the world hasn't taught us anything in the past two years. Yes. You better live your best life. Right? Exactly. But look, this is how I know this year is going to be strange. Uh oh. What? Who in the hell would everything that Travis Scott would be the minority in that household? That was not the agenda. I.

So what a bizarre last eight minutes, Pete. The body delivers. Maybe the best Canadian bacon. We've heard to date and upside down. Mike is getting more vulgar and anger as his team as though seven wins away from a championship hoax. He's got, possibly as well. Seven more islander winds to react to. I don't know that he can get to seven more the way that one took a turn with the voice, the yelling the cursing. I mean, if they win this round, Sean him doing the clincher after game whatever with the Lightning might be the end of upside down, Mike. And what irony? That would be if upside down. Mike doesn't survive. To a Stanley Cup finals as Islanders are finally in. Well, that's the thing and, as Pete alluded to Chris King sounded like he passed away as well when he was going on on his highlights, so it feels like it's ironic everybody who's very healthy. Body wise around this Islanders run sounds like they are literally going to drop dead and excitement and maybe the most unhealthy Islander fan of them all. "A marriage to die for do that by Valentine's day to get that early bird savings we look forward to seeing you here so let's get back to our color now we have tonight Pete heat up some people I have never heard of OCD other people have heard of OCD but really don't know what it is and just to be clear you know obsessive compulsive disorder is actually experienced by many many many people and in different ways obsessive is referring to these recurring persistent thoughts or images that are experienced but they are intrusive unwanted in that most people who have OCD it looks like they can't just go on it's it's a continual thought but but maybe I didn't check the door maybe I didn't it's ever whatever it is in and so the individual attempts to ignore or to suppress the thoughts or so so hard and so they they try to figure out what do I do now I agree with you you don't want to just be haphazard and L. A. responsible that's not who you are like wise to have to check it again and check it again as you said with your dad that time when he said is the TV off you didn't check it once you didn't but see I heard you clearly you said that there was fear you were afraid if you did it wrong he would over react you didn't save over Iraq I'm saying he would over react and he was hard on you so the point is the obsession that you have you're not wanting to obsess obsessed upset did I do it did I do it and by the way those who are checkers meaning you go check it again and check it again and check it again they're not trying to do anything wrong but there is a fear they are controlled by fear there's there's some insecurity I'm afraid I didn't do it right what if what if it really is on and so they don't trust their own judgment and now the way that that's the obsession part the word compulsive or compulsion a that means these are repeated behaviors not thoughts obsession repetitive thoughts but the compulsion is the repetitive behavior thank you to do in order to feel relief or release from that obsessive thought so the compulsion is the solution at the time it's not really a permanent solution but at least for the moment it relieves you of that obsessive thought and these behaviors they can be aimed at the at the it can be hand washing you know the name I know you must know the name Howard Hughes yes that is okay he had to wash his hands he kept thinking about germs I've got germs I've got germs he was constantly washing his hands things around him had to be exactly and that particular order in fact you know you might find it interesting we have something we have something called perfectionism I think it's like escaping the performance trap it's like eat your you feel like you have to do this again and again and again we highlight the story that's just one of the stories that we highlight in we call it our keys for living a biblical counseling keys that explain definitions characteristics causes and solutions I think you would actually enjoy this because I I figure you know who I'm talking about the one time was for them wealthiest people in the world and yet you talk about a man controlled you talk about a man confined you talk about a man who was literally he had OCD to the extreme and so you know how how said that he couldn't just enjoy life normally now he would be a supreme of sorry he would be an extreme perfection does that make sense okay what what happens it in the house but I presently live in that three doors I've got a laptop that lacks a lot so that fans and it'll take me to go out the door it takes me approximately fifteen minutes before I can get in the mouth and leave so how do you feel about that make sure that that that the lights are off the fans are all make sure the doors are all locked because I keep on thinking well I've done the best that I possibly can rent it and if you're in a war and all the trees June I'm thinking I'm thinking there I'm doing the best I possibly can and that's all I can you put your you put your father's name there that you would affectionately call him dad dad of done yes I can see so do you see it's so clear this is related to the fear generated with in you as a boy and my friend it's hard when apparently realized they are like giants when your little boy and as you grow the yeah they I mean site we don't think about it that way as adults but these adults are trying to us and they have the ability to create huge fear and you know I'm going to be very truthful here when when when a parent has a critical spirit of there's something wrong there something that was broken within them they're not healthy and what I would say is you did not because your father to have a critical spirit you don't have the ability to cause him to have a critical spirit he there was something think about it I was I was a week are you at all he typically on the tractor this that nearly in half an.

"Pete took Victoria F on a one on one date to a surprise chase. Rice concert turns out Victoria. F Dated Chase Rice before four. Coming on yes I mean our guy chase is like Charles Woodson back in the day like you know two thirds of the world's covered by water one-third by Charles Els Woodson Chase Rice is dated two-thirds a world so I'm two-thirds of the world's covered by water the other third is by chases ropes. Yes let's keep it classy. He's a lover his season. He no he is his vocal inflections. Yes is come. He's just a good dude. P Then took the woman on a group date to the Cleveland Browns stadium where there was traumatic place on pickers house. They played a game of tackle football coach by Josh cribs and Hanford Dixon. Also also I guess on the show when Chris was saying like all right. We're going to Cleveland and usually that's where all the girls like. It was just like everyone who's just blank face. WE'RE GOING TO CLEVELAND. And they're all just like oh I love when they do that. So that's an old real world trick when they were like and your trip is Argentina. And then when you're going to Yugoslavia of Lia ship and then Eliah whoever you guys remember got sent over love you assault was your map from nineteen eighty seven. It was not Yugoslav anymore shows now respect Croatia Vania. I actually did that on purpose so that I wasn't offending occurrence country. Okay didn't want to get cancelled. Elias shows back up and ask him out of fashion that lived in Yugoslavia. You guys are missing. The most part Alaya showed up. She got home last week so she's not on. The show actually had death squads that that executed people that were fighting against Nazis. So this is kind of a pattern for you in today's episode absorb get Alaya. Who got sent home last week? Shows back up and ask Peter to let her come back in and he did The other girls. That are pissed at Pete Heat and some threatened to leave so is this an empty threat or they actually goal-bound. I don't know this is like a union situation. The the rest are unionizing. Potentially that's that's what it sounds like. Well I mean the whole show is about roses so they're probably LDS say true. I don't get that joke but I I get I bet you it was a good one. Yeah you've probably really noticing roses on twitter. The twitter now. You actually haven't God that's it. Okay great I mean. That's the worst last. But that's a pretty every clip number. What happened Eliah

"Get mortgage and now back to okay so I think that's a perfect segue then when it comes to having an honest discussion about what's happening in Contemporary Society you've been one of the most outspoken brexit supporters one of the people that I think is kind of giving it intellectual backing so we touch on this a little bit two years ago so it's hard to believe this is still being being discussed but for the layman who knows nothing about brexit what was brexit about. Let's just do that in two or three minutes and then we'll get caught up to where we're at now yes so in my view brexit. This is the most important political issue in the Western world. What happened is in June two thousand and sixteen which is long ago now seventeen? It's it's crazy. Seventeen point four million British people voted to leave the European Union. That's the largest block of voters in the history of the United Kingdom that many people have never voted for anything so they voted to we includes me seventeen point four million people voted to leave the European Union because the European Union is an anti-democratic technocratic bureaucratic illiberal. PC institution which just drains the life out out of democracy and freedom of speech all these other key issues so we were right. I believe to oppose your opinion. So we voted against the the idea it was that we would have this referendum and whatever we decided would be acted upon we were told that again and again and again by David Cameron who was then the prime minister three plus plus years later we're still in the European Union. We haven't left and it looks increasingly like we won't leave so there is now talk of having a second referendum. There is now talk of simply overriding the vote. There is now talk of parliament using its power to deprive the public of the thing that they voted for and simply plea preventing it from happening. I think if that happens it will be it will be an apple. It will be a really key event in the history of of Britain because what it will say is that we are no longer really a democratic nation. We are no longer really a democracy. We're no longer a nation that take seriously ordinary people I think so I think a lot of people across the Western world really should be keeping a close eye on brexit because if Brexit doesn't happen than the whole nature of democracy the whole democratic era which has existed for a few hundred years we'll be called into question because basically at that point plenty of other western leaders who might have some Teheran tendancies might go. Well Guess. It doesn't really matter if I win or lose an election because look what happened over there delay delay delay log enough until the people neither start flipping where we can make up enough lies or demonize enough people then that's right congrats to me. I'm still in power. That's right and you know a lot of people use to look to the United Kingdom for a democratic example and I was thinking about this recent. It was recently the thirtieth anniversary of the Cinnamon Square massacre when you had hundreds hundreds of thousands of Chinese citizens on the streets of Beijing and across China demanding democratic rights demanding the right to freedom demanding the right to choose bad bad government a very basic right that people you and I take for granted which people in China don't have and when that massacre happened thirty years ago in one thousand nine thousand nine British Democrats British liberals British humanists were talking about it all the time they were fully in favor of these people who are struggling for the right the democracy to for the right to a democratic say in their lives and in their communities on the thirtieth anniversary however there was a real sense of silence the lot of British liberals who would normally have made a big fuss about the Tiananmen Square massacre and the and the authoritarianism of the Chinese gene didn't say anything and I was thinking about by this and I thought okay this makes sense. It's because you are now on the same side as the Chinese regime and that's not to say you're going to drive tanks into trial square like the Chinese Chinese regime did into Tiananmen Square and massacre people or kill people but you on the same side in the sense that you think democracy is overrated. You think people shouldn't have free fair say in how their community or society is organized and I thought that silence is I think you'll point is absolutely right right there are so many people around the world who looked to the UK and to other Western nations America to for an example off people having a real say in how their lighter organized who now will no longer do that and you have foreign regimes around the world who will look at the way really right and and they'll see that there are members of parliament and government officials who are hell bent on over riding the largest democratic vote in the history three of our country and those regimes will say. Let's do the same thing so let's just break down a little of the chronology of this whole thing so so the vote is about two years ago in the June of two thousand six hundred twenty six yeah and then how soon were supposed to be in motion straightaway it was supposed to happen very very quickly and David Cameron who was Prime Minister and George Osborne who was the chancellor of the executive. He was the in charge of the economy. These these two figures who were the leading figures in the United Kingdom argued that it would happen straight away we will listen to you. We will act upon what you say okay. We will do it right off the bat so everyone was expecting that would happen. In a matter of weeks or months and people went to the ballot box with that view in in mind they thought right this is the this is the first election in which I'm not simply being asked to choose between party who will run the country. We're all ask that in every single election we take part in. This was a different election. This was an election in which we were being asked to decide the political makeup of the nation the constitutional channel nature of the nation's. Should we be entangled with the European Union or should we be completely independent of it so a lot of voters. I spoke to said that this is the first time they felt that the vote had real consequence and change the country entirely so people relish the opportunity voter turnout went up enormously. It was seventy two percent. Normally it's around sixty percent so there was a huge rise in but turnout especially in working class areas and poor areas where people don't normally vote and people came out in the millions and said let's leave the European Union and they expected it would happen very quickly more than three years later. It's still what happened that caused the pause the delay and now the possible reversal of this entire well the the the key issue is the the political class doesn't want to leave the European Union I mean this is the great tension in the United Kingdom the moment and I think is actually reflected acted in American politics to a certain extent to and across Europe in fact as well in the UK a majority of voters want to leave the your opinion but a majority of the political class doesn't and that's the key tension say for example fifty two percent of people voted to leave the European. That's the majority majority seventeen and a half million but in the political class seventy percent of members of parliament voted to stay in the European Union with the Labor Party not which is all version of the Democrat Party. It was ninety five percent ninety five percent of labor. MP's voted to stay in the European Union. Yeah I mean that is how utterly disconnected the supposedly left wing party is from public sentiment is simply extraordinary that ninety five percent of Labor Abra. MP's as against just forty eight percent of the public voted to stay in the European Union so we have this difficult historically unprecedented situation where the people want one thing and the political class one another and the great unfortunate the thing is that the political class is getting its way so okay so I think the average person listening to this at least from an American Lens we go well. Wait a minute. We have elections and PAT PAT her. What the result is incumbents? Get booted and they gotta go. We bring in this guy this whole thing abbots they keep telling us that trump's never going to leave office but in many ways you will yeah except this election okay all that to what actually is happening. I mean are they literally. Just that that percentage that seventy percent said they're just saying we're not going to put the processes in motion that would allow for we're just so they're not denying that they're denying the will of the People Patrick asking right or are they or they're saying you were tricked right doesn't that you were tricked into voting for this and we're doing better for that's the key thing so so they would never never openly say we hate the will of the people you think you're all idiots and we're just going to ignore you got a little better right so they they put a spin on it they put they put a kind kind of pc gloss on the fact that they are actually undermining the democratic process so what they say is we were tricked. We rely too. We're all bunch of idiots. It's we're racist. Xenophobic the phrase they use his low information you are which is a fancy phrase for stupid but but that's what they say you'll low information. You didn't have all the information you didn't understand the consequences of leaving the European Union educated enough you knots which on enough you you know. Even people like Richard Dawkins have been saying it was wrong and stupid to entrust such big political decision to ordinary people because because they think we are inferior to his tweet on that it's me but it's such an important moment because I think it really sums up where politics is going where politically correct act politics is politics going because what is doing. It's creating this almost this neo aristocracy where you have this layer of people who think they I know better than us. They know how you should speak in Asia how you should behave and how you should think and they are superior to us that they are educated. They went to the right universities. They have the right attitudes and then down here. There are the kind of the throng the masses the idiots who don't speak in the right way who don't have the right attitudes who aren't Pete Heat sufficiently. PC who aren't sufficiently woke and they can be bossed around they can be ignored. They can be told what to do told what to think so I think actually that the a war against brexit which is fundamentally a war against democracy actually speaks to the political culture off the Western world more broadly where you have this the creation of this to tip political system where the top you have the switched on elites who think they know better than the rest the bus and they have no concern at all about bossing US around and censoring us and demonizing US and telling us we're stupid and blocking king the things that we vote for so I think at the heart of Brexit what we can see is is the elites war against supposedly deplorable.

It was actually on this podcast so <hes> if somebody wants to go back through the alexa dev chat you'll see pete was on this podcast cast and we're talking about community and <hes> pete and i have just there's there's just something about community where you bring people from different age groups different backgrounds and this this year. I felt like it's also different accessibility. Having people who were hearing impaired was incredible something for me that i never <unk> <hes> had experienced that before so bringing all that together and taking people off who've we've typically like this voice i community we're all kind of online align right <hes> and then having someone in space <hes> in the same space right like what if somebody who hasn't seen that or didn't know about this like what would did you say your key 'cause to me. I think a lot of people got. I had i mean i got so many emails in like little messages. Afterwards of <hes> like people people saying they felt it like they felt community. Which maybe they haven't before yeah. I totally agree with that. <hes> one of the things when i go to these these conferences i think most people do this. You look you look at the lineup of speakers. You think oh wow this is. There's all these great speakers and i want to go to this one. I want to go to this talk and we go to this talk and what what has happened for me at voice summit last year as well but this year in particular was that i started to meet people and talk to people and there was such an openness nisa around everybody trying to help everybody end and share ideas that i found that i was getting so caught up in these fantastic conversations that i forget to go to the speakers that i wanted to hear and i but i think that really says a lot further. Exactly that's the community aspect of it that there is just there was openness. <hes> and i can't tell you how many times i heard people say oh i've seen that person on twitter and it's so nice to put a name to the face now and all these discussions and i ah you feel like you're you've been friends with people partly from social and now you meet them and you you sort of have this history and i couldn't agree more really it j- pete has done such an incredible the job and i know that such a priority for him is developing community it was it was really evidence there and <hes> you know it's interesting you say that too because if someone <hes> i you'll see this more and more when the you know when you have a healthy community you're spending less time in the sessions and more time in the hallways is there is a lot of let's go grab a cup of coffee right. <hes> let's go get dinner <hes> and just that i think is so so important and i feel like <hes> for folks who missed out on that. <hes> i know a lot of the sessions are recorded. They can go ahead and they can. They can find some of that stuff and you had a session. They're on a lot of this <hes> flash briefing and ways to engage right right so i did. I had that <hes> <hes> we talked about <hes>. I did a quick little like one or forty five minutes. It was forty five minute over you how to how to set up a flash briefing. We went through some of these stats <hes> <hes> i was also involved with some of the healthcare tracks with my other pockets. We mentioned mother podcast voice. I health where an really document what the euro or that of on joyce. I health dot com and that's really where i'm documenting. The intersection at healthcare are are of healthcare and voice technology and so i was with a couple panel's speaking about that's a whole another topic of discussion but where i see the future for specifically healthcare and voice technology which is mind blowing <hes> so so yeah i was. I was very fortunate to be part of that and <hes> you know. I really appreciate that big. Thanks to pete for inviting me. It's such a pleasure to be part of those types of events and it's been an absolute pleasure having you on the on the podcast i <hes>. Is there anything that you want that. We haven't talked about that. You that you wanna share the anything any questions. You want asked me anything a i don't know i think we covered a lot. I think i've really enjoyed discussion every time i i don't of people know this or not about you but you're also an advocate for the community like when we talk a lot and we did talk a little bit about this before the podcast like you hit me up with amazon needs to be doing nassar ask. Can you be doing this or is it going in this direction and i'd love to see this with flesh. So i loved <unk>. I continue to find that so valuable and i can pass that onto the product arctic teams as well as your audience. Is you continue to have new ideas in directions. We could be doing better at amazon. Please let me know without continue to do that on people's behalf. Whether do they know that or not so i just wanted to point that out well that's one that's nice to hear and and i just want to say as well that you know i think the whole community feel to to this voice for space really comes from the leaders leadership people like we talk pete and of course bradley bradley metric with his and and people like yourself because you all and you in particular day from them interactions with with you you know we spend time together voice summit. You're so approachable. You're you really are a community guy. You are relatable so down to earth and and that that rubs off on people that are watching the leaders in the community and seeing the way people carry themselves in this voice for space and so i have to say i really appreciate that. I thank you for that and i think that's a big part of of why the community is the way it is will thank you have salt in my food but i do in the mail right yeah but i i do appreciate you saying that and <hes> you know for me i try to. I always just try to be as direct as i possibly can. It's funny in <hes>. How do i phrase this in such a way where we're in such a like a news hype cycle with everything that's going on with politics and social media <hes> and everything i find the best way is just to like e._s. Direct and open and honest with people as you possibly can and so they know their concerns and there's the hardest part for me is when i have to say i can't say anything yet or <hes> you know <hes> no if it's like carr's speaking gig and i you know i can't talk. They're still things. I have to do on behalf of amazon as whole but i mean i am just a super. I've been part of a lot of communities but i again. I'm just there is a there's. There's no <hes> every community has like that. One a person that's like the troll to the rest of none of that has appeared yet and now now hopefully i'm not jinxing yet but there are people but like yourself who are generally come from all different backgrounds and are generally trying to improve and then like what you have done. You've taken that you've created. I mean look at all these your or else. You've got <unk> brief cast dot f._m. Promoting other people you've got a flash briefing formula dot com or your created this professional course <hes> that should i'd be charging for my opinion but <hes> i do appreciate you putting it out there. <hes> that just teaches people. You've got create flash briefing dot com. You've gotta lexin candidate dot com so so thank you for everything you do and i certainly i will be continuing to advocate <hes> internally amazon and everything all so it all the stuff that i hear from you and your customers in your community can't can't wait to see what you continue to do. Thanks thanks dave..
