Hey Siri, are you really 20x smarter?
"Any Day. Now that new operating system from apple IOS fourteen will be out I downloaded a sneak peek version of this week, a Beta and was intrigued with the new look to Siri Siri. Of course, is the personal assistant that's been out since two thousand eleven that we have known to either love or Malign Siri has a new look this year. Siri. Will have over twenty times more facts than just three years ago says Apple. And it does look better. It looks better. It acts better. It's still has a long way to go. Its still pales compared to the Google Assistant But I'd say that my questions were about twenty percent more accurate at least more satisfying the thing that always drove me crazy about Siri is beyond the appointments the weather the time the I get to the closest Mexican restaurant. The other questions would always answer with here's what I found on the web, which you really don't get as much with Google or Amazon. But I pulled out my old questions that I asked in two, thousand eighteen and found to that Siri could answer this time Hey Siri. Where can I get my car fixed locally closest when I found is dynamic performance north to boulevard who Siri? How do I say hello and Japanese Japanese hello is Gone Out. Okay. So that worked a recipe for banana bread don't think so the ingredients of a Tom Collins snakes nope Siri failed that one but Alexa and Dougal both had it most surveys show that Google answers more things correctly but usually has Syrian number two spot even tow it's Amazon spent so much time talking about voice assistance but the fact is Amazon have a phone apple and Google do and more people user assistance on phones Bottom line for me is that I liked Siri spent less time sending me to the web to do the research and actually answered more questions with audio. I liked the new look, the boxes of information instead of a dark screen way pretty to look at. But Hey, Siri, I'll give you this. The new version is a start in the right

We like to ask everybody. Which is Skim your resume? Gone how about this I don't have a resume. Here really I mean not that I don't think I have one. You become a bio Danielle you did. You did a great introduction in so many things I've been a magazine editor, a TV host and writer and producer and a faculty professor author I'm Working Fifth Book. I'm an investor in women led companies, and I am a board member for some big nonprofits, which I love that work to so all of it. What something that isn't in the bio and we can't Google about you that people should know oh girl. You think I'm GonNa tell you that. Google. Wade Carly anything you know you did not read I think one thing that people like maybe John. Know about us like you're I, mean. Maybe they're hearing now, but you are very funny like you're very good sense of humor, and you're very good under pressure. Thank you yeah I'm freaking rock under pressure, but that doesn't mean I mean. You may not see what's happening inside, but yeah, I'm a goofball can't google at I mean there's some pretty funny pictures of me. Still shots that people take if you google made them. That's the one thing that going forward. It'd be nice to show people more, but as people who do know me like. Carly knows me off camera. Yeah, I'm a goofball. You are all right. We're GONNA get into this. This which if we talk about people's Childhood in? Toss how you grew up, but I think you are very. Guests were like your childhood is really really important to get into and kind of the family dynamic. You grew up with and how that folded over time and you're somebody who learned a lot about your family. As you got older, so I want to let you can share your story. I will just start off by saying you were born in New, York and then West. Those uptown Manhattan. I was I, actually did a story on the moth. Right, which is on the podcast as well a bit about what you alluded to there about finding out only last year that I have no idea who my father is, so that's a whole thing, but I grew up with two fathers. Up with the father named after hoppy Wong, and then I grew up with my stepfather, had a very very strong mother Dominican mother, who emigrated when she was fifteen, and we lived in Uptown Manhattan, and my brother, and my older brother, and I were the walls, but she eventually divorced, and we moved to New Hampshire. And that was a real shock for us a very big culture shock

I Fear My Spouse Will Abandon Me
"Here with my co host Gabe. And of course I'm here with my co host. Jackie and we were talking this morning about something. That's been weighing pretty heavily on your mind and I thought let's make this into an episode because that's our lives so you've been talking a lot about anxiety around the idea of your wife leaving you it. It's true I don't know why she's giving me no reason to think this. I just I wish and another kind of a messed up thing to say but I wish that she gave me a reason to feel this way because then I wouldn't feel so crazy we've been married almost eight years. There's no problems were not in the middle of fight. I just have this gut got visceral strong feeling that the woman's GonNa leave me. Have you had this feeling in your marriage with Kendall or at any past relationships before well? I'm having this feeling in my marriage with Kendall right now no but like previously like. Has this ever happened before no no? It's never happened before with Kendall. It has happened. You know what no no? This is the first time I ever been jealous or had these feelings ever in my life. You know now that I think about it. No when all of my other relationships ended I was completely blindsided. I have always been the dumped. Never the dumpy. Because yeah yeah well. My first marriage it just turns out women don't like to be married to untreated by polars in my my second marriage. We're still friends which is weird but it was messed up Okay another thing yeah. It's like memory lane. Thanks thanks. You'RE WELCOME. That's what we're here for you miserable but your talking about this in therapy which like. Yahu for therapy we know I love it. What is your therapists? Say My therapist lakes through this thing called chain analysis where we know that I have this feeling so now. Let's back up to why I have the feeling so and then when you connect those things you can work on it. The problem is backwards. Doesn't lead anywhere. I have this feeling. Okay what's the one step back? Well I don't want my wife to leave me because I love her. Okay what's the one step back from that? Has She giving you any reason? No the best that I can come up with is my wife. She's beautiful she's intelligent and this is one of the burdens of marrying somebody way younger than you either. She was like twenty six when we got married. And now she's not she's she's just achieved so much in the last eight years and she's not the same person and this person is so incredible that it would be lunacy for her to stay with me. What do you bring to your marriage? I bring bipolar disorder to our marriage a panic disorder and anxiety disorder. I mean those are those are some some pretty nifty things to to bring into a marriage. Okay right but what else do you bring to your marriage smart ass? Obviously I do bring things to the marriage I I do all the cooking. I do all the cleaning. I handle like the household or tasks like you know. The the minutia of life is all handled by me. I do bring that to the marriage. Okay but I'm going to ask you again. What else do you bring to the miracle? Basely like I'm her personal assistant through all of those things. What else makes your marriage uniquely yours. Because you're in it. I just told you I was her personal assistant. I am her personal assistant. I I handle all of that stuff for her. Which is why it wouldn't be so big of a loss to lose me. The other day I said to Kendall if I left you would have all the same things that you have now except the dog. I'm taking the dog. And she said no right. Yeah yeah she said no you sweet loving hug me kissed me told me. I was wonderful but come on which is supposed to say. You can't tell the dude that you're married to that you're living with. Yeah that's a good point. I could hire all of the things that you do for me and not have to tolerate your dumb ass okay. You're looking at all literally the physical things that you bring to your marriage right you are there you do all of these things that are like. I am physically exist in the same room as my wife. What you're not remembering or not seeing or not acknowledging is that you bring more to your marriage and just like the acts you perform and the reason why this is really important to me personally is because I live with two chronic illnesses one of which could make me completely physically unable to take care of myself at any moment literally at any minute. Ms could be like you can't walk anymore. You can't feed yourself. This is Real Fun Party. So you bring more to your merits and just like the AX. You perform for her. You offer her companionship. You offer her comedic relief. You offer her emotional support in everything. I'm sure and while I'm sure you're gonNA tell me it doesn't matter because you're bipolar. Because you detract a as much as you give Blah Blah Blah. You're failing to see that. The root of your marriage is the relationship you have formed with Kendall and all those other things are like a bonus. I'm not a stupid person. I agree with you and if the tables were turned if you were calling me up and you were saying Gabe Adams GonNa leave me. I would say all of the things to you that you are now saying to me and I get it. I get the idea that Kendall is a grown woman and if she is chosen to be married to me she obviously wants to be married to me and she is getting something out of it. I I don't know maybe I make the best spaghetti. I listen. I honestly don't know what it is and I have asked her. I have like why would you be married to me? And she's like well. My life is never boring. Why is this a priority? What do you mean your life is never boring one have you looked around? We live in suburbia all the houses. Look the same. Our life is boring as fuck. I just I can't find that thing I just. I can't find that thing in lieu of turning this into full blown therapy because as we know I love therapy. I'm not good at giving it to other people. Are you saying that you're not a licensed therapist? I am not. I also don't know how to therapies other people so I'm just taking what I've learned here. I would encourage you to go to Kendall and ask her to work to elaborate and maybe she's good in writing. Maybe she's good at talking like speak to her strengths of helping her. Understand what you bring to your marriage because I assume that it's never boring. Is a umbrella statement for a lot of tiny things that are great about you and what you bring to your marriage but a therapy session over what is really happening. Here is a lot of unwarranted anxiety. And you're trying to navigate it right. I'm just scared that she's going to leave. And I feel that I need a backup plan for when it happens and the keyword there. Being when I've been through two divorces I had a significant relationship where we live together and my biological father took one look at me when I was born. I was like yeah. No I've suffered a lot of loss of people who are alive and I haven't even gotten into the loss I've suffered from people who have passed away and I've lost a lot of people relationships jobs social status from living with bipolar disorder. So loss is just ingrained. It's just ingrained into me. In fact I firmly believe that I have lost more people than I have gained. And what happens when Kendall is one of them? I don't want to be caught with my pants down. That's not a double entendre. Just I sincerely mean I just. I don't WanNa be alone. I don't WanNa call my mom and dad and tell them that I blew another marriage. I don't WanNA reach over in the middle of the night and have nobody be there and I want to know how to protect myself from that happening. Because if she goes away. That's going to happen to me. That's going to happen to me again and I don't know that I can get through it for a fifteenth time. Oh I have so many things I wanNA say and most of them are encouraging first and foremost like you know that you will get through it because evidence of your life has shown that you have gotten through it every time you survived right. It may not have been pretty but you did it. You're still here. All those other losses did not destroy to the point of no return. I know you're GonNa want like say well but you know I did get admitted. Bal right like all those other things but like you're saying I'm here. I'm very resilient at being dumped. You're a functioning human being. You'RE ON THE PLANET. You have survived everything so far greater Sure but come on. There's people that have had their limbs hacked off that survived. I don't subscribe to this notion that whatever doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. Oh I don't either. There's lots of things that don't kill you. That make you really fucking weak agree but at the root of it all you have gotten through all of it right. It wasn't fun you didn't want to but you did you got through all of it. I did. And you currently lead a life. That is good and happy and sustainable. And let's talk about that for a moment. You're right. This is the best I've ever been and sincerely that's part of the problem. This is the best my life has ever been. I am forty three years old. This is the most stable. This is the happiest this is the healthiest. This is the wealthiest. This is the most in love. This is the everything I mean even if we want to like turn it into you know. Money Equals Happiness. Well I've got the biggest house. I've got the nicest car and I've got the least amount of debt if you WANNA turn it into. Oh it's the people you know. I Know Kendall kindles amazing. I know you Jackie your amazing. I have like two best friends. I'm not saying I don't want more friends. I'm just we all want more but if I just take base look at what I have. It's the most I ever had and all I can think of and all that goes through my mind is this is the most I will lose so when you talk about will I get through it. I don't know I've never fallen from this
TBT: Bridesmaid-for-Hire Keeps Walking Down the Aisle
"My name is Jan. I am currently living in New York City and I was featured on episode eighty three about my side hustle which is bridesmaid for higher. I started bridesmaid for higher. After all of my friends got married early in my twenties and I found that I was always behind the scenes at weddings and what I noticed was in a billion dollar industry. There was nobody there whose job it was to be there for the bride if they had a wedding planner. That person was often really busy. Planning the wedding setting it up dealing with bender's but no one was there to deal with people problems so I started a company where I provide professional bridesmaid services. Surprising needs they. Hire me to their personal assistant on called therapists. Social Director Peacekeeper has literally every wedding has drama. And nobody's there to deal with it. That's a lot of what my company does service both brides and made up honors and we service bride so that they can hire their own brides meat have day of coordinator or just have a wedding consultant. Be there for them on the phone to answer all their questions when they get engaged we were bridesmaids as well to help them figure out how to do their job for the first time. And finally we work with honors doing maid of Honor speechwriting and also coach them through that position because it does sometimes feel like a fulltime job. Since last on the show I decided to do an evaluation of all the packages that I offered and instead of having many different packages to serve. It's different clients. I decided to reduce it down to a core three to service to specific clients the bride and bridesmaid or the maid of honor. In addition to bad I've had over forty thousand people apply to work for me and one of the cool things I don. In addition to hiring more people I think I started with three and now I have seven is I found a way to incorporate a product to sell the people who I cannot hire so so many people reached out wanting to work and I cannot hire forty thousand but now have an online course where I can train them to start their own in the wedding industry that destruction just like mine another major project that I launched in addition to this business called finally the bride as an extension to my personal life where I just got engaged and now I'm letting people vote on my wedding decisions in my wedding planning and I'm using a business model around that also generate income off of the original brand brides the for higher the biggest challenge currently facing is that even though I have been a business owner for five years. I'm still extremely stubborn. WanNa do everything myself. You know at this point in my business. I do believe I should be having other. People helped me with certain tasks certain projects that I still have this mindset that I am the only one who can do anything and I know that. That's not true so one of the biggest accomplishments that I personally made as a business owner. This year was hiring people to do. Some projects for me is in consulting for me because I finally realized that. If you are a one person show you can't be as powerful as you possibly could be if you allow other people to enter your business and do the things that you either don't have time to do or you're not the expert and I want to continue. Optimize aimed at improving brides meat for higher. Continue to make our core products even stronger and perhaps you something that helps brides and bridesmaids the maid of honor while they're on the go and facing problems in real time so I think those are going to be some of the big future goals for the company. I think it's also really important to remember that you can enter and disruptive industry that you don't know much about and you have never had experience in never wanted to be in the wedding industry and they were thought. I would have a business in the wedding industry but I found myself going to a lot of weddings and noticing that this is a problem that wasn't solved so if you want to get into business in you're wondering what and how and why start asking people. Hey what's your problem and I know that sounds defensive and rude but the more you can get people to open up about their problems. Not like they're you know really deep emotional problems but just everyday problems like hey. My shirt keeps not untie. Gives coming on tugged or you know. I have a really big problem where it's raining in my umbrella. Always breaks the more. You accumulate problems. The more you'll figure out okay. What isn't unsolved being an industry that maybe people have tried to solve that? They haven't solved good enough. Maybe you can put your own spin on it so asking people what the problem is and then testing out maybe having a minimal viable product that you share with some people get some feedback and keep improving. You know. I always say start. Now start with a bare minimum. It's never going to be perfect but you continuously can improve and don't over think it some of the best business ideas like mine. People say to me all the time only guys thought about doing that but just never did. We'll do it well. You heard it from her. The bridesmaid for higher original the one and only although she has forty thousand other people who want to do the same thing So good for her. Congratulations yet. It's so wonderful to hear how your business has grown. And even though she's grown that business quite a lot also realized she was getting spread too thin and had too many packages too many offers essentially she had all this demand so she thought she had to serve all the people but then you kind of realized that simplifying would actually help her so she reduced it down to what was it. I think two to three packages also really liked what she said about how the problem you saw doesn't have to be in an industry. You have a background in. This is kind of interesting. It's kind of provocative in some ways because at least contrary them and even for me I would say often. I encourage people to start with that. Like start with your own industry. Start with your profession. Start WITH YOU. Know what you're familiar with But it's not the only way as she has demonstrated or maybe I guess you could say it was an industry. She was familiar with from having been a bridesmaid so experiencing it from that perspective but she never wanted to be in the wedding industry. She was just going to all these weddings and noticed. This was a problem that wasn't solved so as she said. You don't have to find deep emotional problem. You can just find everyday problem. And there's a lot of money in solving everyday problems a lot of money a lot of demand a lot of neat as I think you can tell from her story again. I would encourage you to listen to the original episode. Which was a? Let me see once again. I think it was episode. Eighty-three you can just go to school. Dot Com slash eight three to hear
"personal assistant" Discussed on WNYC 93.9 FM
"Her like we don't sell it we want to gift it and they needed help so at Christmas I came and I like help package them and I basically started working as a personal assistant I'm remembering the stress of I was worried at so you found out that Netflix is planning on rebooting queer eye and you decide that this might be something you once yes I I met the opportunity with a tremendous amount of fear but I also really get off on fear you know yeah so I decided to just run for it yeah I reached out to Ted and he was like hi because he called me and me and he was like any like you're an actor I was like yes I'm aware he's like but you're comfortable in front of a camera and you love to talk about food and the thing about teaching these heroes is that you have to keep it sort of like relatable and accessible and you're like more of a messenger he's like I actually think this is kind of perfect he was like all right let's throw your name into the mix how fearful or just a challenging was the audition process for queer eye it was intimidating there were chefs like legit chefs who went to culinary school who were there so I fell into the trap of like comparing despair and I'm not that I'm I'm not going to get it my mission was I kept it as simple as possible all you can do is present yourself as you truly are which is kind of a we encourage our heroes to do on the shows are like you can only be yourself and be the best version of yourself but it's true easier said than done of course I watch the show and I imagine that when you're going at the heroes are amazing and obviously they are are buying into the entire journey you're going places that probably don't have a really huge queer communities right how does that feel for you there's one thing that makes me more uncomfortable than a trump banner and its guns being Canadian and just knowing what toll they've had on the country and even that said like that being something that we've seen in the homes of our heroes do I want to immediately bring that up right off the bat yes but at the same time if I do that like that's not my job that's not why I'm there if I go at it that way it's gonna be like walls are going to go up right off the bat it's more about trying to like find the humanity and just figuring out how I can best serve this person's life and in the short amount of time that we're together so I just focus on I don't come in saying like you need to be better with your diet I ask questions and I just try to get as much information as I possibly can and then we come up with an assessment yeah I want to eat healthier do you want to show up for your family do you want to know how to cook for ten people you want to know how to make for an omelet just for yourself because you've been eating popcorn Sean band meet our like it's it's different for everybody yeah right and so it it's it's about figuring out what works for that person yeah you said that you you keep in touch with some of these people here after some of the heroes I'm very co dependent I do get attached because I really love people and I love connecting with people and just having like a very quality over quantity I've never been good at cocktail parties I love intimate dinners and I really love getting to know a person and when you get to know somebody over a week and they tell you things that they've maybe never even shared with anybody else before like yeah you get attached yes only human like it's natural for me so it's really hard to let go of that I don't even think I've asked a single person like are you still cooking right like are you making the thing that I taught you how to make it's just more like how are you how are you feeling yeah are you a cook book coming out in September Anthony and I hit yeah also culinary deal breaker for you not that I make them often or ever really the last time I made a hot dog was for the last episode of season one or two of queer eye for a bunch of firemen but like catch up on hot dogs makes me really uncomfortable because I feel like it should be like real American French's mustard and sauerkraut and raw onion don't so that let it be strong and their and some relish yes and maybe some Togashi which is like a nice spicy looking Japanese he's in a black sesame and just for a little bit.

"Before we get to this next story we should let you know that we will be talking about sexual assault and it might be disturbing to some of you we are talking about Harvey Weinstein's trial which continues in Manhattan this week is the man behind films like Shakespeare in love and good will hunting and has been accused of sexually abusive behavior by more than eighty women he is charged with five counts of rape and sexual assault against two women in New York last week actress Annabel us your took the stand to allege that he raped her in the winter of nineteen ninety three ninety four yesterday was an accuser name Merriam Haley she is one of the women whose accusations are charged in this case in pairs rose Friedman was in the courthouse yesterday she's on the line now from New York morning rose the morning Merion Haley is not a household name like some of Harvey Weinstein's accusers tell us about her yeah she grew up in Sweden she got a job working as a personal assistant for producer named Michael white he did movies like Monty python's holy grail in the Rocky Horror Picture Show he introduced her to Harvey when seen at the Cannes Film Festival in two thousand four then his health went downhill and Haley was basically out of work so she ran into one scene again it can by that point she's in her late twenties and she asked if he could help her out she said she'd been planning on moving to New York anyway so he offered her a few weeks on project runway which is company was making and she accepted and then what did you what did she testify that Harvey once you did to her it was a disturbing story she cried a couple times while she told it it's tough to listen to and honestly kind of tough to talk about she described the kind of escalating series of behaviors from one state at their first meeting in hotel he asked her for a massage which she said felt humiliating her then on another occasion he offered her a ride home and tried to enter her apartment after that he showed up at her apartment unannounced these were all under the pretext of business meetings which the prosecution was careful to point out often happen in hotels in the entertainment business finally Haley says one Steen invited her to his own home where she says they were chatting uneventfully on the couch when he lunged at her and began trying to kiss her so in court she said no no I don't want this to happen but she says he forced her into a bedroom where he got on top of her she says he pushed me down he held me by my arms and said no stay like that and I said no no and at that point started realizing what was actually happening and I'm being raped she says he performed oral sex on her she said the whole time she was kicking and squirming she asked him to stop she says he continued okay so graphic and distressing testimony Harvey Weinstein's defense team had an opportunity to respond what did they say they pointed out that Haley continue to interact with Winston she actually described another sexual encounter that she said with unwanted but that she didn't physically resist Haley in one scene also continued to email each other for you years after the alleged assault so the defense was able to use those emails to try to prove that no assault had happened that the sex was consensual they showed emails of her reaching out to ask for work setting up meetings to pitch ideas she also accepted an airline ticket and ended an email with the words lots of love at one point when scenes lawyer Damien Sharon is asked isn't the reason you felt comfortable dealing with Harvey Weinstein and sending her the white females because he never sexually assaulted you so clearly an attempt by his defense to so some doubt in the jury's mind all right in this

No when you ask a question you get an answer and that answer and the question both recorded by Amazon and stored on their servers. Now Amazon made announcement that he'll soon be able to tell Amazon to automatically delete everything after three three months or eighteen months that has been recorded. I want to know why doesn't Amazon just let me not be recorded at all and I posed that question questioned. Dave limp who is the senior vice president at Amazon who oversees all the devices. helped me here because I on the recording my query. I know how to delete. I know how to play it back. I don't understand why Amazon is recorded me. In the first place I know I can go into the settings and say deleting three months or eighteen months but there's not a setting to say don't record me at all. We don't keep data for data sake. Let me just start by saying that but I I would tell tell you that we are very convicted that by keeping this data to the to the extent that the customer allows us to do so that doesn't delete it themselves. It improves the service materially by the way I was using this example earlier. We launched Hindi in India last week. It's our fourteenth or Fifteenth Language Wooden Dialogue that we've that we've launched out there today and we know that. Ah that after three months from t zero last week launch date to three months what's that Alexis accuracy her ability to understand you in respond correctly. We'll get thirty three percent better in just three months because of our ability ability to use that data to improve the service it and that informed why we did a rolling three months as one of the settings around the deletion of auto auto deletion of data. If we didn't see those kinds of inflection points we wouldn't keep the data and so for us. It's all about trying to balance the the flexibility and capabilities that we give to customers with the what we know about where when the data can actually improve the service service for the tens of millions of customers that are using Alexa every single day and so that is a balancing act and it's one that's not static by the way you know there. There will be a point in the future. I'm sure of. I don't know when that is that some of these new learning techniques unsupervised learning transfer learning that we don't have to ground truth the data as we don't have to annotate the data that we will will need less and when that time comes we will keep less and give customers more options wins. I think even than we do today but I think the settings that we came up with today that give customers options for auto delete at three and eighteen months and then preserve the the right to delete any data whenever you want to strike that right balance I'm Jefferson Graham. That's W I X DOT COM in. Stay tuned after the show to here. Are you can take advantage of Wick special offer for talking tech listeners okay so yesterday we talked about the new google nest hub Max which is a video display unit and today. We're GONNA talk about bringing Alexa into the car. Now you'll recalled it about a year ago. Amazon announced a new product Echo auto that was only twenty five dollars and basically would connect to the Bluetooth of your own own plug into your cigarette lighter in the car and while La you would have internet in the Car Santa Pretty Amazing. The only problem is invite. Only you had to be asked by Amazon so I signed up for the invitation. I finally got it a year later and found out why the product never came out. It's not ready for prime time time now. The good news is again instant access to Alexa in the car and that's fantastic. You can play on demand. Music News and PODCAST reback your latest. I E mail find the nearest gas station be informed about what's on your calendar in help you locate the nearest starbucks but but but but the the personal assistant who talks to you is not always talking to you. It's actually telling you to open up your Alexa APP while you're driving to find the information mation. That is a big big big problem. I want turned by turn directions. I don't want Alexa to send me a map that I have to look at while I drive. If you ask Alexa defined you the nearest gas station it will give you three nearby gas stations then you have to ask to select choice and and await this map to be sent to you know know all those Amazon engineers. You know that when I'm cruising seventy miles down the freeway I'm not to look at your map map. Talk to me. That's what Alexa is all about now. There's a work around but it's not pretty pullover opened up Google maps or ways use the microphone that now allows you to talk through your car speakers. Tell Google maps or ways where you WanNa go in now via this little twenty five dollar device lice. You will have the directions coming to you from within your car speakers but who wants to pull over and do this as you know. Amazon's not the first to offer car service for Alexa anchor has the Rove Viva which I reviewed earlier this year when it sold for fifty dollars now it's twenty three and is compatible with apple apple and Google devices garment also has the garments speak a similar unit for fifty bucks. I prefer the VIVA now. It's the same technology it's got the same problems but what it offers to USB charging ports the echo auto only has one and as you know if you got other people in the car we all need to charge up our phone plus vivas available for sale now. The Echo audio is not now. I'm Jefferson Graham with USA Today. This is talking tech. Have you tried tried eighties devices because I'd love to get your feedback. I'd love to hear from you. For example, somebody comes and says, hey, I wanna work with you, and you say, great, awesome. I'm gonna get you in touch with my assistant and they're gonna help. You walk you through it and then the pistol system can give that person your rate, your quote. And if they get back to say, hey, listen, I can't do this. This is what I can do. This is the price that's lower than your quotas. And if you don't wanna take that money, if that's just too low, your system can do the negotiating for you or could just say, hey, listen, that's not the right, that's acceptable. This is our price. Unfortunately, if you're not able to do it, we're not gonna be able to do business. That's okay. And separates you from the negotiation. Another example is, hey, you have to say, no, because you can't make an appointment because you are fully booked their calendars booked. Your personal assistant can. Just get back to that person say, hey, very sorry. But you know, Omar's booked is going to save you time. Isn't gonna save you that awkward feeling of having to say no. And it's coming from somebody who's just doing their job, hey, this is my job to handle this person's calendar. I'm telling you that they can't make it and those countless of other examples that can give you of somebody else taking care of situations. You just don't wanna have to deal with all the time. It's time consuming. It's brain consuming. It's emotionally training. You have it take a look. You may want to save yourself some time and have the luxury of having somebody who has your back as a personal assistant much for listening before I go want to leave you with this. If you're wondering this sounds good, but I don't know if I've enough work for this person. What am I going to get them to do? Well, a good place to start is to list all the things you hate doing everyday personal life and business life make a long list. We are very good at writing things down that we don't like. So let's do that. And then take a look, what can I get my personal system to do? What from this list? Can I just give them as their first tasks? What are some things that I have to do regularly, renew my insurance, pay my bills, make sure some information up today on regular basis. These are things that you know they could take care of four. You don't have to worry about it anymore, hurry. Thank you so much listening. I'll show you tomorrow's episode acuity, Wednesday. I'll see then. Bye-bye..

"Credit card for their own personal gain for their own personal purchases. So I just wanted to get that one out of the way so they can manage your counter. That's great. You can even have your personal assistant call you every morning at a certain time and give you a rundown, hey, this is the rundown for today. This is what you're going to do today. The appointments is what you have to be mindful of. They might even tell you about things that are coming up, hey, by the way, it's your sister's birthday next week. Would you like me to send some flowers which you like me to do something like that? This is awesome. Why? Because you sending flowers is going to take at least two hours of you. Choosing flowers, figuring it out finding the website, signing up for an account. You think it's a five minute thing. It's not an all you have to do on that call, say yes or some flowers spent x amount of dollars and it's a done deal. So you could see that personal systems only take over counter, but they could take care of Muendane time, consuming tasks, appointments, ordering things, planning your weekend, but they can also take some really time consuming business types of tasks. Like what, for example, you're asked to speak at an event, your speaker event, and you just been invited and you accepted. Okay. From that point on your about to get another fifteen to twenty emails from the organization, are you ready to spend that time to Email back and forth? Reply to fifteen to twenty emails. We're talking about hours of time. Once you've accepted and you're gonna be speaking event. You could just say, awesome from this point on, please see, see my personal or executive assistant here. She is going to make sure that you get the answers you need. Most of their questions are going to be easily. Entered. Most of the emails will be no need to reply like, hey, the deadline for the slides for this presentation is this date here. She could say, hey, no problem. I'll put it in his calendar. They might send you another Email and say, we need your head shot. Your personal system can say, no problem. Here's her head shot. She's great, isn't she? Here you go. You're saving so much time. I haven't take care of this back-and-forth Monday task. So we talked about tasks. We talked about scheduling and we talked about emails back and forth on Email. What I notice in my own inbox, fifty percent at least fifty percent of my inbox, our emails. I don't need to reply to personally. Sometimes you just need someone to organizer inbox. So you just read the important stuff and then the other stuff newsletters updates you could read later on not urgent and a personal assistant condemned do that for you. What else is super time consuming that you're doing all the time and you'll need to research how much. Time do you spend on researching something you're looking for? It could be personally could be business. It could be like, hey, I'm looking for new customer service application, customer service software to handle our tickets. Can you researching the top three options, easy peasy..

"A human being and a robot i think that i think that a case can be made overtime that they're real that that they are that artificial intelligence is alive now it's not a human being because human beings are clearly different but if you have something that's just as intelligent if not more intelligent that understands right and wrong that can has deductive reasoning as a capacity to learn and grow and reason then how is that all that entirely different than human being and the answer is i don't know that it is and so then the question becomes okay if all of that is true if we're going there and and all of the scientists and the people who are working the field suggests that we are then what sort of rights do they have what would they be entitled to could you take them apart could you shut them down would they still be property or could these or would that innocence be considered slavery because you have a being that is conscious that can reason that can feel i mean you're going to be completely rewriting the rules aren't you i think it's i think it is a really amazing discussion because the idea is that okay we're like when i think about it i think about how wonderful it's going to be when we all have our own autonomous artificial intelligent robot that just does the workforce and access personal assistant and does all of the things that that we really don't like doing and we just buy them and now that's what they do but one step further than that is that being having hopes and dreams having aspirations desiring more than to just serve the master and win that day comes and it will come based on everything we understand about the future of of robots artificial intelligence are we going to see a shift to where many of these robots are are given in a sense legal status given their freedom.
