Mastering the Menopause with Emma Bardwell

"We're GONNA be talking today about menopause which is a topic that probably we talked enough about until it happens to US often. Vet Light you pelvic floor or things that until you have to get to know it. You don't speak our set so I felt like let's just start off with. What is menopause for those the Dayton Yup absolutely? So you're right. It's not talked about and it's particularly not talked about. I think for younger women such as yourself so in a nutshell it is when your period stops Meno poor say menstruation Meno pause stop. The average age is fifty one. And it's usually a kind of natural part of aging Bart for some women. It might occur earlier and that might be because of genetics or it might be because of surgery and how about Peri. Menopause is at the stage leading up to us yet so paramount applause is actually probably the most important bit of the journey. I think because that's when all the kind of symptoms tend to rare and it can be quite a long journey actually for lots of women. I think there's this real kind of misnomer that it happens in your fifties and it happens overnight whereas actually that lead up that parry menopause can last up to a decade island and I always women often particularly younger. Women feel really kind of freaked out by that so I think it's really important. We don't WanNa kind of catastrophe is it. It's a totally natural part of aging. It happens to every single woman but yet I think it's really important that we are prepared and more interested in that way we kind of dive. Deep into the subject could question. I think because I realized through my own journey. There's a real lack of evidence based information out there so there's lots of women who have been through the journey and so therefore kind of thing that they know everything about it but actually there's a lot of misinformation so I think it's really important for women to get their information from experts. You know people who are actually qualified and also I think women are really underrepresented when it comes to kind of health particularly things I research. There's not enough research being done so I think there's a lot of women floundering. It can be really isolating menopause. I just wanted to kind of turn on its head. I wanted to support women and I wanted women to realize that it's not kind of game over. It's very much a time to be kind of embracing the fact that you've reached this life stage because it's a real privilege to age to get to that point absolutely. I'm touting thirty tomorrow got Michigan very old and I feel like every year every better. Have I WANNA be kind to myself have more wisdom and everyone says that my step mom said to me she would never want to go back to her twenty s because she feels so much happy within herself as he got older and. I think that's really wonderful thing that comes with age and probably something. We need to embrace more and talk about more thing. Yeah I think that's a wonderful way of looking at it and I think for my clients who come see me. It's not just about nutrition or Zeiss style advice. It's actually about regaining a sense of identity. Because you know it's amazing time to be alive you'll middle-age midlife honestly and how about premature menopause? Because I was saying to you before I know a few people kind of distant need that have gone through menopause or menopause symptoms in their twenties. Which is like you said. The average ages fifty one to lose. And you saying kind of ten years before that. You don't think this is going to happen to you until your forties all year. So why are potentially people getting it early? What is the reasons behind that? We don't actually know. It can be genetics or it can be the result of something like chemotherapy or if women have had their ovaries removed. We don't know but the stats are surprisingly high. Actually so early. Menopause which is sometimes go premature. Menopause happens to one in one hundred women to that under the age of forty. So that's quite high her and then under the age of thirty one in a thousand women and then under twenty one in ten thousand while. It's still possible. You liked everything. How many people are on the planets that still quite few people experience absolutely. And how does that impact your ability when you become Perryman? Who is making you less likely to conceive or are you still able to? Who's you're still getting periods but maybe less frequently? Yes so premature ovarian insufficiency which is early menopause. Basically you can still get pregnant but your chances are much reduced so you can still be late. So that's something definitely to bury. Mike's I think a lot of women have a real sense of panic if they want to have children. So that's different something to talk to your GPA about but in your forties if you'll just naturally going through peri menopause. So your eastern levels are plummeting. The not necessarily plummeting but they're kind of on a rollercoasters. They can really kind of p control and that is when women often get symptoms but you can still get pregnant but your chances are reduced. Okay how Stephanie. Get to know and so what are the symptoms? What are they simply? We're talking about? You might be getting todd ten years or less onerous yes. Let's not testify. What are the physical symptoms? That's talk about them fast. I was thinking of hot. Flushes is the kind of hot flashes. And night sweats. A kind of the most obvious common ones but there are. I think it's thirty. Four symptoms are. I think that's actually probably more like seventy so in a really diverse kind of range of things from ACNE SA- changes in skin oversee sagging because eastern plays a big role in college and production. So often women find. Baskin is more lax. There is things like insomnia. That's a pretty common one but also the psychological things so things like memory loss brain fog just a lack of

"So I think that's an area they could look to to address early on offensive guard tackles and other position. I think that they could they could upgrade I think linebacker Denzel Perryman Kyle manual both free agents. So that could be a spot and then. Jason barrett. What are they going to do with that that cornerback spot as well? So they've got a lot of question marks on the defensive side of the ball. I'd be surprised if they didn't go defense. And I think the other thing too, we need to look at is that what point do you try to draft a quarterback to develop in and maybe potentially become the heir-apparent to Philip rivers Daniel Jones spot from Duke, if you think that the locks go a lot higher Jerry Tillery who ran really well. From Notre Dame had some splash flash games while games at Notre Dame. Jerry Tillery watching them all year. Look like a late one. He could be there. They need a defensive tackle desperately and Jeffrey Simmons not and prisoner guy. I mean, how far now do you push him is he a second round or at some point somebody by the time, we get the late April. It's gonna look at that top five talent and say, I got it to get Jeffrey Simmons in the fold late. I ran into chargers could be Rams. There's teams in the late. I could medically redshirt in getting ready for year to Jeffrey Simmons, Jerry Tillery. It'll be tough to pass over at that point in the draft of the chargers who desperately needed defensive tackle the Denver Broncos. Denver broncos. Mel did. They solve their quarterback program or problem program by getting your boy, because I guess that's kind of one of the questions is is the addition of the Baltimore rifle with the fabulous. Rocco? Yeah. Joe flacco is the addition of him enough to keep them off that position as a talking point in that draft or does the addition of Joe flacco, and in at least the possibility that both him and keenum could be gone by next year almost exceleron it do you need to get somebody around to around three and say, all right. Let's let's start the developmental car. Back up again. Yeah. For John Elway it's been Peyton Manning at the end of his career win the Super Bowl. Then you bring in Paxton Lynch bus, then you bring in case keenum disappointment. Now, you trade for Joe. Laco at some point. They gotta get it right last year because it got stung on Lynch didn't take the doting. They don't look at Josh Allen. So again, you're looking at a team that just hasn't been in sync with the way the quarterbacks have gone and other teams were trying to get Lynch had. They got out Kansas City. You try to get Lynch God. And they wouldn't have had my homes and Denver wouldn't have ever had Lynch. So a lot of things went crazy that year because of the Lynch and the situation there, but they got to get I haven't even like Joe flacco. But I think the draft a young quarterback he's gonna get mid thirties. Now with injury question is not a bad thing to do. Not at ten is the team has some holes. They need a corner. You think about down the line tight end wide receiver, nose tackle interior. The line is teams got a lot of areas..

Changes in Hormone Levels, Sexual Side Effects of Menopause

"If you are listening near a woman that's age thirty five or over, or if you know someone who is I think you're going to really like our topic today because it's all about hormones as women. You know, it can be pretty tough when you experienced fluctuating hormones, it seems like when we reach age thirty five to forty are hormone balance just kind of seems to go crazy mood swings. Become an everyday occurrence. We might not get a good night's sleep. The only way to feel comfortable is to wear pants that have an elastic waistband brochure. You're just kind of load up your closet with stretch pants and leggings to accommodate that expanding waistline. Are you thinking? Oh that is so true. Why is this happening? Well, today, we're going to discuss hormone balance after forty while working with many many women over the years. We have found that their hormones often start to get out of balance and even mid to late thirties. So let's talk about what's happening to your body. What you can do to get your hormones back balance. My name is Kara Harper. I'm a licensing Tristesse, I have a master's degree in holistic health. I'm also a certified nutrition specialists, and I'm very excited to be joined by MARCY Vaske. She's also a licensed nutritionist and has a master's degree in clinical nutrition. Yes. Well, good morning and Kara. I'm so happy to be here once again studio with you same here. Yeah. We always have a fun time. And especially today talking about this topic hormones, right? Yup. We were saying that before the show. I know we were we kind of laughed about it. It's perfect for us. So for many women between the ages of thirty five to forty it. Is that time before we are entering menopause, and for some women their hormones are going crazy. I know my Le. Lovely hormones have been trying to mess with me. And so fortunately, I have a little knowledge in this area. So I've tried to get him back on track. But this time before menopause is called Perryman applies which can result in a stressful hormone fluctuating time, and this hormonal balance is not often easy and can really make you feel like you're kind

Well that for those of us who don't pass or don't pass over how good temple and garner were spoil your Orange County princesses, particularly Juno temple who played the older sister. Ronnie. He's amazing. So she was I think Julie garner. We know from Ozark. Yes. I think what about watching this whole thing about their mom meeting. Someone sketchy falling in love getting married in two months. And then how immediately she lost herself in him and didn't believe in anything in herself anymore. And I think you know, I've known people have been catfish. We've had people call any Ben catfish? I was starting to get catfish. But I can see our can happen. Over the smartest. Most educated. Most. And I'm not saying, I'm one of them. But I'm just saying you can't believe how people can manipulate you in it. I think it happens most it over love over relationship. Anyway, it was just it's very very good. And then I thought true detective we all watched they aired to episodes back to back. But we all just watched the first episode. Totally. Yes, I wanted to watch the second one. But it was too close to work. I mean, the ending of the first one was like what? Right. And apparently to detective season three there's this documentary. If you guys ever heard of this documentary called paradise lost the child murders that Robin Hood hills. No, I've never heard of it. It's about a triple murder in Arkansas charge two teenagers later known as the west Memphis three. I've heard of that. Yeah. And it anyway, apparently the documentary and the two sequels. The music is a plot. You know, part of the platinum and so when you can read the words of the music the lyrics. Yeah. I really like it. That's kind of how I roll these days. Well, that's good. Letting us know that you're reading and listening. And ironing and sewing sewing things. Oh, man. And then this is a reminder on FOX night the passage Justin Cronin. If you read his any of his trilogy. This was the opening book. Here's the review give it to FOX. "Can't see these to him. Yeah. I mean problem is that the charges are twenty five million of cap space. They don't have any money, but they have a team. So I don't think they have lose anyone crucial this offseason that not to my knowledge at least. So this may be this next season. Maybe their last hope before they need to do some serious changes easer the players that they have. So they have twenty five million. These are the players that are on that are leaving our contracts are expiring Brandon me Bain, tyrel Williams and Tonio gates Jason variet- Adrian Phillips, Denzil Perryman. Gina smith. Kyle manual not a whole lot of big name players. They have their core walked up. They don't have any player Adrian Phillips, maybe one or two starters here that are hitting frequency. But ultimately like you mentioned they have a really good team, and they're all under contract pretty much. Yes. It can retain pretty much the most of their team from what we've seen. It's it's a nice. It's a nice problem is though. I don't know. What's wrong talk to me? I feel like a lot of things with the chargers way this year. So yes, they have a good thing going. But also rivers may might have had one of his best years that was kind of weird. Like, do we think they're going to suffer the same fortunes next year? Are they going to benefit from? I don't know the same health. Yeah. Melvin gordon. Miss a few games. But he always does like rivers was healthy most that defenses pretty healthy. They missed some guys some guys than I are very being healthy at his age is incredible. And just his ability to play that. Well, they will get hunter Henry back. They had a couple of guys are they're getting back. I think they're obviously going to be a favourite to go back to the playoffs. They're going to be a team. That's. Top ten odds to win the Super Bowl. When in the it's probably topic. Obviously the goal is like between the chiefs and the charters who's winning the Anna AFC west other thing too is Jeff can this team look at how good this team was on the road this year. I don't think they're going to do that again, and they really don't have a home field advantage. So it's hard to give them the benefit of the dealt when you're talking about like can they get over the hump? Can they win one or two more games? Like sure they can. But it's hard to do that. When you don't have a home where you can dominate right? Yeah. True. I guess the last thing we go talk about though. Eagles. They are going to have the most interesting off season of the four teams when she say, yes, this is a lot different than the last. We talked about because we're talking about foles. Versus whence. Will. I think fulls will be. Isn't it weird that they can opt in to him, but he can buy himself out for two million? It's like a weird two billion. No, not Bill. You said billion. I said million you said, Billy. I did not. I heard a being there. That's fine. That's because you're not paying attention. That is a lie. Look at whatever anyways. They are twelve million under right now, they're in the red. There have the worst cap scenario of any team. They are what you say in crisis mode. So even if they have the. I don't know idea of keeping Nick foles that is shot down because they just don't have the money. They couldn't even sign him. Even if they didn't have Carson Wentz. They couldn't even keep them. That is insane. Like, this is not looking good for them long run. Is it they could cut TIMMY Jernigan? He would save them seven million. I guess it could also on Jeffrey they need a lot more than just seven million. They have a lot of players making way too much money. Who is making nine million from them next year Nelson. Al gore. I can see why golden Tate is a free agent. These not come back. They could cut Michael Bennett. I could see that..

"But we're gonna come from Perryman had a great touchdown catch in that game on Saturday. And you know, then it was kinda dislocate. Where's come from cal-? Got the second one the joke at a great game against the Bengals first time around. So I think just given the nature of the position he's alone starter, but otherwise it's Landry's number three receiver, and this feels like could be back to Nick chugging. Yeah. Twenty carries for a hundred yards for and so much of it came on the final drive. He was having a really terrible game at like to see him get some catches he at three or more catches and four straight games before week. Fifteen. He on the Broncos side of things there any Broncos wide receiver that you would trust and fantasy. I love the targets for DeJean Hamilton. I don't know if Sutton's just hurt or if case keenum just hates him or what the situation is. But again, Tim Patrick had more targets and Sutton DeJean. Hamilton had a lot more targets than Sutton. I'm probably going to rank all those guys is low in number three's high number fours, but not much better. I don't I don't mind Hamilton NPR. He's almost become the new Bruce Ellington. There's not gonna be a lot of yards, but the catches will be. Yeah. But otherwise, the I think, you know, sudden I'm one of the interceptions in the end zone. You know, he was targeting Sutton, just under throw thrown. So I think he's just gonna by nature of where he is right now to be just a big play threat. If he's not hitting those big plays. It's gonna be frustrating and. It was like, oh, yeah. Yeah. They shot at seven catches, two straight games. Seven catches for forty six or forty seven yards. He did score two weeks ago. Minnesota forty one and Miami seventeen and. Yeah. Balaj with twelve carries for hundred twenty years. Touchdown. We talked about that. Kenny stills did not come through one catch for seventeen years. I Ryan tannehill had a terrible game through one hundred eight yards. But Kirk cousins man like eighteen points gets dolphins. I dunno was just because he threw only twenty one passes or am I right to be kind of ticked off at her cousin's? It was just through twenty one passes. Okay. Gotta be looking -cerned against Choi. Obviously if the Detroit run defense shows up and they are able to contain Dominic latavius Murray. Then you know, he's going to have to do more. But another almost. Seconds. I think you just look at it from the standpoint of that he's not gonna be thirty point quarterback. In week sixteen against Detroit. Put could that makes? I thought he was gonna have a huge game gets the interception. Was a dumb play. But give me give it's batch of credit for recognizing. Crazy. You don't see pick sixes that are that easy. Yeah. I think you look at the new offense coordinator, and you know, they're going to want to run the ball lot. So you can't necessarily look at how much they were in the ball today. His they obviously playing way ahead, but that's going to be. I think an issue next week to because Detroit's offense is so net. Yeah..

"Melvin kind of settled things down help move the ball and chunks and got. The passing game going because he was running the ball. So well at times and making plays, and he we've been saying it for a couple years now, he's the catalyst for this offense. When he is going. Well, everything else builds off of that. And Sunday was an example of that again. He was he was incredible played very well. And he just keeps getting better. And by the way, I picked him to be MVP the league when we did our little pre preseason predictions for pulse from the blue disfigured. If they were going to win it was going to be because of him. So he's having a great year. He's making me look smart and dumb at the same time ironically because of how much shit we talked about him early in his career, but I'll take it. I'm glad to be wrong. So he looks great. So since you took two of my three points, I'm gonna mix in I'm gonna mix in a different one here. Just some things that I noticed that. I think are worth monitoring and need some attention. Obviously the chargers third down offense is garbage. They were two of ten against the raiders, which is a pretty bad defense. Yeah. This is a team that has to figure out how to convert on third down if they're going to be steal the Steelers and the Bengals and the ravens and the chiefs especially you cannot cannot rely on big plays against elite teams you have to be able to put Dr together stay on the field. Keep your quarterback off the field and keep their quarterback. Keep your quarterback on the field and keep their quarterback off-field. So you have to be able to do that. They're not doing it. They've been living in dime by the big play. And it's worked so far. But it's something that they're going to have to be more consistent and more efficient on offense and terms of putting together and converting those third downs. And I think because they're relying so much on the big. Play. I think we're starting to see at least some early signs of Philip rivers trying to do a little bit too much at times he had thought four really bad decisions in that game. One of them wound up interception, Marcus Gilchrist. And I said it during the game throwing to pick Marcus Gilchrist, you're making a bad decision. So you can't be throwing picks to him. He had another pick that probably should've pick six on the first drive of the game in the shadow of your own end zone. He forced deep ball into the wind across his body on a play where he rolled out of the pocket on the first down on the second drive of the game. Tried to throw it down to Tiro Williams. I believe into the win and it came up short, thankfully that was a bad decision. Also forced one two gates between three defenders in the red zone. Another bad decision. I thought he was pretty fortunate to command that game with only one interception. So I'd like to see him be a little bit smarter with the football not putting balls at risk. He was so good not going outside of the fence and not trying to do too much early in the season. And since they've come out of the buy it seems like he's trying to take one extra shot. They dial big play. And he feels like he has to make it happen. And he's missing guys underneath for chunk place. Catch run opportunity. So like to see them clean that up a little bit. And also special teams penalties. They had four last week. They had two more on re- relatively solid returns this week. They cannot be making special teams penalties against the Steelers and the ravens and the chiefs especially they have to play clean game. They have not been particularly disciplined and speaking of discipline. Russell kun. You're one of the team leaders unique to keep your fists at your side. You can't be letting the raiders getting your head. You can't be taking shots at guys on the field. And getting yourself thrown out of games. That's just not smart..

"And it's something that has really gone unnoticed to a large degree among charter fans. He's very well. And I think Derwin James deserves the assist on that is Rochelle sack when he ran over. Jalen rashard? It was like Derek Carr were shell shock and froze. Oh, yeah. That happen. And then I wrapped them up and brought him down. It was he made that happen. He flinched watching retargeting over and and Rochelle cleaned it up. Yep. So can you touch on the defense to one thing? I'll touch on today is Melvin Gordon in in. I'm sure that's when you're going to talk about too. Yeah. That was my next one. Because I mean, he played like the college version of Melvin Gordon yesterday. His sixty six touchdown pass was vintage, Gordon, Wisconsin. Melvin Gordon raiders brought the house they blitz seven guys Melvin Kat it turned on the afterburners. I mean, that's he exhibited some long speed. We just haven't really seen at all from him. And obviously a key blocked by Keenan now and come back and take out a few raiders defender. So Gordon can get some separation on that play. But every week Gordon scores, and it gets less and less talked about because it just becomes so common. But on Sunday, Gordon, became the second player since two thousand seven to post a streak of five games with one hundred twenty total yards and a touchdown. He's been impressive. And he made an unbelievable effort on that first down on that fourth down play. First off hate the play call change it. Don't. Fastest point is from point. A to point b is a straight line maybe sideline to sideline lease run. A behind pouncey just straight downhill, no need to have them run all the way to the opposite side line. But he had to fight off four defenders make two guys missed just to get to yards. All that came on second effort. It was unbelievable play. Call was terrible by wiz. They're also that a defensive Gus, Bradley, we're play call in the NFL get rid of it. And I'll know Melvin Gordon man that that we were talking about how Jalen Rashard did not pick up that blitz underwent. James, mama. Gordon? Perfect timing on a linebacker blitz drive right before the haffey saved Marquel? E from having a free shot at rivers Gordon helped extend drive that ultimately ended in a touchdown. We're seeing the confidence from Gordon what he's playing with right now. We're not seeing him stop his feet. Like we. Saunders rookie year. We're not seeing he's hitting the whole. He's actually hitting a whole with purpose. He's making is missing the open field, which we didn't see the first two years. He's putting it together. He's had an exceptional season this year. And he's starting to look like the player he wasn't college this year. Yeah. And he's not running to contact ten yards downfield. He's looking they cut and get extra yards. He's he seems to be correcting all of the shortcomings that he was showing in his first three or four years in the league. I guess three years in a league. So he's been playing very well. That was going to be stole another point from me talk about just to rehash Twenty-three touches one hundred sixty five yards and a touchdown four touches for ten or more yards to touches for fifteen or more yards. He feel both scoring drives at a time. When rivers looked pretty outta sorts early in the game and really looked at it sorts for most of the game in my opinion..

"They got kinda lucky 'cause cook dropped a pass bailed them out, and they call that Pont, and it's like everybody snaps out of it almost instantly the entire defense wakes up and now now Durham was already for into the ball. But you had Derwin make a couple of stops on that on that drive including the fourth down. Stop that. You mentioned Getafe us had a couple of big tackles on that drive. Like you said everybody's making a play. Everybody's coming up and contributing and from that point on once they got that fourth-down, stop their juices were flowing. They were locked into that game. And that defense took that game over I think they gave up. Like one hundred thirty yards in the second half of total offense. They just they just didn't let the raiders moved the ball after that. It was like that fake. Punt woke them up, and frankly pissed them off, and they controlled scrimmage after that they got after car they had they had interior pressure. They were getting pressure out the edge consistently gusts. Call the great gang was mixing up. Blitzes was calling stunts and twists had a plan for children Awo sue for the first time all season, which was really nice. They just everybody pitched in and they made the plays when they needed to make them. And from the time they scored that touchdown right before halftime that game's over even at ten three that game was over the raiders were done and scoring that touchdown right after the half just iced it, but the raiders the raiders were done and the charters were going to win that game. If even if nobody else scored more points, obviously if the charters had screening before they were going to win that game. So. They that defense was the they get better every week. They're getting better on third down every week the pressure packages are getting better. It seems like every week. Any? No, nobody's mentioning it. I mentioned it in an article on bolt from the blue. But to me, I think one of the key moments in this in this for this defense. This year was getting more snaps for Adrian Phillips because they were really struggling on third down before they started getting more snaps. They put them in the game against the raiders in week five. And from that moment on their third down performance is getting better and better and better and better on defense. They're not seeing as many gashing plays in the middle of the defense, passing wise. Tackling better in the middle of the defense that entire defense has been better with Adrian folks on the field and big credit for to Gus for getting him on the field and finding a bigger role for him. Granted it was at a necessity. But still they haven't dialed that back as they've gotten guys back and he just keeps getting better as the season goes on. Yeah. Yeah. And to get during James Newlyn scrimmage this week. God that pay off. He was fantastic. I tell you what the. Just watching the place he made against the run alone. I mean chasing plays down from behind. His reads were basically perfect pretty much all day long that pass ra- temper. They blitz them to the gap. He ran over and killed jailer. Chard was crazy. He had a couple of really good pass rush reps against Colton Miller as well. I mean, he's just he's phenomenal. And you mentioned Melvin Ingram. People have been lamenting the fact that he hasn't been getting tennis axe. But who turned the game around with a sack fumble in the second quarter. That was first quarter. I guess it was that was Melvin Ingram. And he had sack and a half in that game. He had I think no he had sack and one and a half tackles for loss. He had tackle for loss on the first play a running play. He said Anina JR. All day long again, doing the dirty work against the run helping to pin the runner the running game down a little bit. He has been he's taken his game to another level when he's not asked to pass rush his work against the run. Has been really good all year long..

"They need to win the game. They always seem do put the game away. And I think that's a testament to Anthony Lynn to be honest with you because we didn't see that with previous regimes. We didn't see that in north. We certainly didn't see that under Mike McCoy guys who were a little scatter guys who were not as rooted not as strong physically or mentally. And the chargers would buckle under the pressure of mistakes. And now they make a mistake. They put behind them. They go out and they make the play they need to win the game. And I think that is those are signs of this team accepting Anthony lens metality his approach to the game and taking on really his best traits, and it's kind of a sign of the maturity of this team and how they're handling some of those. Some of that adversity and coming back and finishing games. Yeah. I was going to touch on certain area of the team which was the defense. But you bring up a good point in watching that game. It's impressive that you know, the run that they've gone through. Without hunter Henry without Joey Bosa running off six game straight traveling more than any team in the league having four road games last four games. They traveled six thousand miles in five days between Cleveland and London. Yeah. And you know, I'm not saying he should win the award. But is it a little premature to say that maybe aunty Lynn deserves to be in the conversation for coach of the year? I don't think it's premature to be honestly. So either I think he's completely transformed. The culture of this team and cultures word that we kinda throw around, you know, haphazardly it's kind of become cliche. We use it to describe so many things that happen in a locker room. But you know for years this team would. Make mistake in the fourth quarter. And there is would get his biggest saucers and they'd fold like achieve suit. And they blow a fourteen fourth quarter lead. It's been their emo- for God, basically since mardi left and even in the last game. He coached they blue huge fourth quarter lead in the playoffs. And it was a reflection of how he handled the pressure playoff games. And now we're seeing team take on the best of their head coach assume the best of their head coach and finish games. And I think it's a testament to him. I think it's obvious that he's changed the culture in that locker room the guys are responding to him. And I think it should go. I think it needs to be said that you know, they hired a guy mentioned earlier get a nine year career in the NFL. He was never a starter. He was a backup running back. He went undrafted. He had to fight for his roster spot. Basically every year he was in the league transformed himself into a special teams ace. Scratched and clawed. And fought for every snapping played and made the most of every snap. He played. And I think that gives them the ability to do something that, you know, north Turner and Mike McCoy really couldn't do he can steer these guys in the I had been there. He can go to Adrian Phillips or a racial Jenkins or an Austin Ecuador or any number of guys are contributing on special teams right now, our guys who were considered quote, unquote, depth and say I've been where you are. And I can tell you you're going to get out of this whatever you put into it. And if you put your best into it, eventually, you're gonna get a bigger role in this team, and they can look at him. And know that that's true. And that's a way that previous coaches could not relate to their players with the chargers. And I think that's a huge element of how he's changed the culture and how this team is responding to adversity this year and finding ways to put games away. Hello, I'm Spencer hall from SP nation. And I want to tell you about my new show. It seemed smart. It seems mart as show. About people doing things that for some reason or another seem smart at the time. Those things might include doing a little cocaine driving a bike up mountain or I don't know maybe racing one hundred miles per hour across the country in the middle of the night with no one's permission or even stealing.

"So I think they have options they don't necessarily have to go out and draft somebody or science. Somebody. All right. Well, let's no you down. Here was that Denzel payments last game a charger or do they re-sign on this off season? Yes, or no I'm inclined to say after being hurt pretty much every year. He's been here. It's probably ones that being his last year. Okay. All right. So Denzo Perriman gets injured. And now the question is what happens where do they go from here. I think the easy answer is they've got Hayes. Flirt when dental payment went down Hayes took over and the run defense did not suffer. In fact, Hayes looked as good as he did in the preseason. And we even questions podcast why he got cut. So he's Florida. I thought did well and Denzel permits role, and I think that'll be the easy plug and play guy. I think they'll probably bring in another linebacker for death. But go going forward. I think for me, I think with the next two weeks you have a chance to figure out some kind of defensive combination. It works best without Perriman. Now. They play the Broncos in the cardinals. Those are two teams that are trending in the wrong direction to pretty cupcake games. Maybe the Broncos being division rivals not so much. But now great teams, and it's the perfect time where they can come up with some kind of defensive concoction and be ready to roll when they go to Pittsburgh, December second, I really wanna see and you mentioned it. And I think we've mentioned it once Derwin was drafted. But I love to see him play some linebacker spot. Like, you didn't Florida state? Just let them roam around land scrimmage like he did on Sunday take with the underneath stuff. Let them run downhill in the run game, which he was fantastic at in Oakland on Sunday, let you'll die play strong safety. And then you've got probably racial Jenkins at free maybe Adrian Phillips if you want to but going forward, you you're probably going to see Hayes pillared in that middle linebacker spot. But man love to see more during their. Yeah. I think you'll see a rotation. I think in base defense, you'll see a lot of lard, I think in nickel and dime pack. Ages. You'll see some mix of Derwin details Brown and Adrian Phillips. They've had Phyllis playing some middle linebacker and some nickel sets this year. I think it just means ultimately, I think it just means more or more details Brown and more Adrian Phillips. With Polat sprinkled in there in Basti Fettes. No, I think you're right. And I was just going to say, I don't think that's such a bad thing with the way Philipson Brown if the plainly. No, I don't think it's bad thing at all. I think both those guys are covering ton aground. I mentioned earlier they're both filling their their run fits very well. They're they're reading taking better angles to the ball finishing tacos when they get there. I think a lot of cases watching tape sometimes. And this is a little bit of an exaggeration. But I think it speaks to how. Well, he's playing. I think sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between how Adrian Phillips is moving on the field and how Derwin moves on the field. Just in terms of the angles take and how quickly they're passing on the run and and making run stops in the backfield. Both those guys in particular playing very well. And I thought the last two weeks. Details Brown is taking a couple of huge Ford and his players. Well has confidence looks like it sky high and he's coming down hill and making some big tackles two. So getting those guys on the field. Ben. If it's them. I think this is a good time to mix them in even more. You wanna get them in now get them as many snaps as possible get them fully up to speed and ready to go. So that they are ready to be playing at their best. When you get to that the last stretch of the last three or four games of the season..

"Offseason much like how they did with Kaiser white in the draft the eventual replacement for Getafe Brown, and then you saw into Mosul eventual replacement for Kyle a manual. I think they do that again this year and the season whether the draft the season, they find quality Mike to help fill in for the eventual Perriman injury, if it occurs again, I think the chargers find themselves in a position with Perriman. Where Garrett said they are in the driver's seat. I think they will probably offer him to take it or leave a deal probably something of the one or two year variety for very minimal guarantee with a lot of incentives based on playing time production things of that nature to incentivize him to stay healthy and stay on the field. Paran might be inclined to go out and look for a better fit schematic 'wise. He might go out and look for a team that plays more base defense. The chargers of playing more and more nickel and dime as the season moved on. And as they've done that we've seen more of Adrian Phillips entities Brown at times on the field in nickel, and diming particular. I know the chargers like paramount. I know they think like your mentioned, he's a leader. He's he was playing pretty well this year before he got hurt. I don't think he is the star linebacker that. Some people think he is or one him to be. But he is a productive player. And he's a leader. He's kind of a physical presence in the middle of that defense. I think they would like to resign him. I could see a scenario where he may be feel slighted or maybe feels like there's a better fit somewhere else in sign. Elsewhere. And I'm not sure they address middle linebacker in the draft. They may feel like they already have is replacement on the roster. I think they've gotten some really good plan tapes Brown the last two or three weeks they're getting outstanding play out of Adrian Phillips. Kaiser white will be back next year. And you can also and certain situations you can even fit during their at middle. Linebacker will move guys around. They have three or four interchangeable pieces all of whom are playing well right now. And they're all there reads better getting better. They're all tackling. Well, they're all filling gaps. Well, they may feel like they're in a situation where they can rotate guys find fits based on down and distance and they may not necessarily need the pro the stereotypical. You know, big Hoss middle linebacker in the middle of that defense so much as they need some somebody who can range back and cover flow sideline sideline and make plays like like Craig mentioned. So I think they'd probably like to keep him. I think they'll try to keep them. I'm not entirely sure it happens. And I'm not sure they'll draft somebody a year after taking two linebackers. I could see white play middle linebacker. I could see them thinking Brown complaint align backer in this game since it's what he played in college..

"So I went ahead and looked up the rule and the rule is rule. Fourteen section three article one. It's what's known as the major foul exception. And that rule states that if you have to offsetting penalties one of the five yard variety and one of the fifteen yard variety, which is a personal foul. You enforce the fifteen yard penalty from the spot of the foul, regardless of whether or not the deadball the five yard foul was deadball fell. So in this case, even though it was technically deadball foul because the defense jumped off sides. Oh Coon punched a player got himself objected from the game and they enforce that penalty because it was the major penalty of the two if one had been a ten yard and one had been a fifteen yard. They would not have enforced either. But because one was a fifteen and one was a five day enforced. They enforce fifteen. There you go. Jamie has the day off. He's reading the rule book. So there's your answer. Jeff. He had some extra time to do some homework. This next question is from Craig Craig often, thanks for everything. You do. Definitely as always look forward to the show every week man hit what you guys have to say. So we've been attaining pretty much. Point. But with the seven and feel good that necessarily drinking the Kool aid just yet. What happens in the next three games? Definitely not looking past the Broncos and the cardinals, but you know, trip out to Pittsburgh. He would be the maid of taking come back at ten and to be the front at the front and trae man being accused for possible Super Bowl, right? Also with the news dropping of paramount going down with the he'll tear for the rest of the season. Guys think this is the end of his run the starting middle linebacker, you know, he never really fit. The Gus Bradley scheme is covered skiing cutter required. More of a middle. Linebacker compl- sideline side and defend the middle of the field in the scene who just kinda wondering what you think will happen going forward with Perriman. And just kind of also your outlook for the next three week than way. You guys think that team will be you know, post that Pittsburgh day as always thanks for everything you do man. And both hope so we got you. And I think the most important question here. Craig is Denzel Perryman we learned today that Denso Pearman is out for the year. Charters lose their middle linebacker and dancer your first question. If Denzel Perryman will be back with the chargers, or if we think I will answer that. And then we'll talk about ends up. Personally, I think the chargers and keeping Denzil pyramid. I think they end up resigning him. I know he hasn't played a full season yet throughout his whole career as a charger, but I think he's important of this defense. I think we saw last year when Perriman was out the run defense suffered. So I think he is important in that respect. And I know the coaching staff loves his attitude and his play, and he's one of the faces that defense, and he's one of the more motivational outspoken players on that defense. So I think ultimately they do keep Denzo Perriman. I will say that because the injury it kind of leaves the charters in the driver seat a little bit when it comes to negotiate. So I think they could probably pyramid on a pretty Ford -able deal. They won't have to throw a five six year deal at him because you know, he hasn't proved to be healthy for a full season. And then also I think this off season the chargers address middle linebacker whether it's through the draft..
