"My baked frozen stove. No, didn't your mom used to take stuff and make it look like that. I always, my mom was kind of before I was fat ish. Was into something we call real food. Far fresh to table. So she wouldn't get me like TV dinners and stuff. But you wanted them. I always wanted a TV dinner. Yeah. They were really cool. So she went out and bought those. All divided up and she cooked everything separately, loaded in that. That's awesome. Now we know why. Now we know why he got baskets for his kids to put burgers in. It is fun. I just did that. I got there great. I know. I got this plastic basket. They have the bowling alley. Yes. I know this probably didn't happen, but I'd like to think when your mom handed you that homemade TV dinner. I hope she mumbled that ought to hold you. And when I was little, I was one of those kids that had to have all the food separated. Yeah. Oh, then that's why the TV dinner was perfect. But when the corn leaked into the mashed potatoes that was troubling for me. Do you eat one thing at a time? At some times I do. Yeah. The other day I did that. I ate all the Lima beans before I dug it. They're my favorite. Oh, yeah. When we come back, we have coming up speaking of food. A zoo director who had to be fired after serving four of the animals of the Christmas party. Did he have good reason? No. I don't think so. I mean, what's the monster? Well, they were free. "Nonstop fetch up here, boys. Join me. It's a whole new world. I've never been more alive. It's pretty, so he's a pretty big dog, too. What kind of dog like a hound dog? It looks, he's got the German Shepherd like ears. Aw. He's so far up I can't really tell. But this shows the bias of the media. How so? Well, I mean now Josh is on board. It says maybe it should be something like firefighters rescue dog from perfectly executed squirrel maneuver. Yes. Or from the squirrels. Perspective. Evil dog. Yeah, yeah. Attempts to murder gentle squirrel. Gentle score hero. Rescued from evil dog. Still a good boy. He's way up there. I can see what they had to bring the fireplace. Yeah. Really, I have a squirrel that's been getting into my bird feeder. What do you want to do? Shoot it? No, no. I'll tap on the window and that one scared away. So now I have to step outside and it looks at me, and it doesn't leave until I go, get out of here. And then it leaves. Have you tried greasing the pole? There is no pull. No, no. He said he was outside. There is no poll. It's attached, it's just sitting on my windowsill. Oh. Well, that's the problem. No. It's incredibly accessible. It really isn't. What you need to do is I did this years ago. Here we go. You need to put a wire to a tree nearby. And then bring it back to your house and you have it on a pulley system. So you can send it. You can send it out and then bring it back. Here's the thing. You have no idea what you've accidentally unlocked. What I mean is it's too far away. I like to sit at my booth. You can still have it like ten feet away from your deck. And then it's dangling there and then the squirrels will go off. Now, in this case, the right there, the birds come up, I look at them. My cat loves them. The squirrel's reading. The squirrels. Birds ate the bird seed. No, no, these girls are eating birds. I think there's something wrong with okay. No. Right now. If you want to get your sweetie the perfect gift, I wouldn't recommend a bird sheeter. What would you recommend? Unless you're trying to break up, I would recommend something from Steven singer jeweler specifically, Perry. Perry winkle. Periwinkle is apparently a bird and also some kind of a sea creature, I guess. Yeah, you know, honey. I almost got you diamonds, but this is a Finch feeder. Yeah, don't do that. You can get diamonds or you can get the periwinkle, which is the latest flower, it's a gold dipped American Beauty rose, 24 karat gold to be precise from Steven singer jewelers. You can look at it. I hate Steven singer dot com and periwinkle we have determined as kind of a blue purpley, violet. Color. We were all aware. This is the new one. I was not aware of it. "Come the mummies and the classic attack of the wiener man in honor of the return of the hot dog Weiner man statue. Well, but finds its place in West Virginia. And now what did you think of that owner of the cowboys Jerry Jones? We've got a locker room full of sick players and coaches to go along with some literally 100,000 cowboy fans I don't know if ever sick. Just sick. They're just sick about it. A reef of pink slips will be on my desk on Monday morning. Just to get fired. I fired myself. I don't know. The shonda Sean Payton's definitely going to the Broncos. Right around a little bit over $20 million a year, I guess, is what I'm hearing. No car payment. Yeah, no car payment on that one. We were talking about the movie alien. Ridley Scott's seminal masterpiece. The chest bursting scene. While giving much or apparently, are you trying not to spoiler alert after 80 years? But apparently that scene, the most of the cast did not know what was going to happen. They claim that they were completely unaware. Obviously the person who were the alien emerged was aware of it, but apparently, and I double checked this, I've heard this before and I guess that's real. Well, Tom scarrett claimed in an interview. To a point it's real because the editing, they thought something was really wrong with John Hurt. They didn't know he was going to lose his he was going to start freaking out like that. But the reaction to it, they have to know. They're setting it up. You know what I mean? They can't set that shot up. But he said they were aware that the script just said the alien will appear in this scene, but they weren't told where or how. How they didn't know it was going to pass. That's what he claimed. Okay. I hope that's true. That's cool. Now, we were talking about the dairy winkel, which of course, in West Virginia, is the home of the wiener man. Which was stolen, has been returned fortunately. We have a song by here come the mummies. Yes, we just played it. Thank you. Oh, but that reminds me of periwinkle, which I didn't know this until Christie told me, Perry winkle is a color. And it happens to be the color from Steven singer jewelers. For the 24 karat, the 24 karat gold dipped rose. That's the new one this year. It's periwinkle, and periwinkle is kind of a violet blue. Yeah, it sparkles. It's really pretty. But I didn't realize it was there was a color called periwinkle. And what we're talking about from Steven singer jewelers is an actual 24 karat gold dipped real rose American Beauty rose with kind of a purpley blue petal. Am I getting the colors that sound good? Steven singer roses, they're always available, of course, until they're not. What am I talking about? Well, every year this sells out. I know one of the collectors is Josh's mom. We'll be getting another one the new one the pair winkle for Josh's mom. This year, once again, I'd say 24

It's the newest addition to the roses, the 24 karat gold dipped roses. There's a whole family of them from Steven singer, the new one is called Perry as in Perry winkle. Sounds like Ogden Nash came up with the color. I wouldn't know what Perry winkle was. However, I know what it is looking at this. It's like a purpley blue color. Yeah, kind of an indigo violet bluish, but it's gorgeous, and it's you've got a hold of it and right before you reach, it turns like that. Oh, my gosh. You know, that's a pair of wiggle. What? "Blood stained eyes. And you hear his voice sort of echo through this valley here going what is the meaning of this? That's details have done nothing to the sapphire scale. You hear shouts from the crowd of all of these blue dragon elves shouting out. Justice for the high prince Perry winkle. Justice for periwinkle. Oh no. And el turns to you guys and goes, that's my uncle's room not. They have my uncle shroom rod. What do we do? Yeah, how do you want us to approach? If we could free shroom rod, I feel like that would turn the tides pretty easily, right? Yeah, I'm looking at that binding wondering if we should just go ahead and give me perception or insight checks. That is a Nat one. Okay. That's going to be a 23. 11. Solid Cali, you look down at this force, the deep elves have been disarmed, they are under the poison effect, outnumbered, ten to one, odds are really in the favor of the blue dragon elves here. And freeing shroom rock from the bindings wouldn't have. So shroom rot looks like a large dragon sort of like Queen umber sport, like roughly as strong looking as queen numbers four. Could potentially put up a good fight and probably beat this other adult blue dragon that's there, but even he's outnumbered. There's more blue and green dragons here. This is just a small outpost of this is not like a whole undercity, like Queen number spores. This is what if princess shiver blight was a deep elf, essentially. Although shroom rot, you have no reason to think that he's a moron. I've seen those red eyes, though. He looks like maybe he partakes. But it's definitely a situation where they're a small force that has just been invaded by the empire, essentially. You see, Elsa is kind of unsure what to do, watching, and you guys see that one dragon elf captain who kind of sticks his nose up at everybody, especially the deep elves. As long silver hair, blue dragon mask, a long, blue gloves. He walks along

"When i tell my wife that i'm stone. Cold therapy top. Who manipulated every therapist into changing the subject when it gets real. She's rightfully unimpressed. But like i warned them of my powers instill. I have changed the subject from my dead. Mom's local politics quicker than you can say counterproductive. I'm more than one occasion. It's not good for me. Like i'm going to therapy because i needed. I've got this problem. i can't cry. i don't cry. I haven't done it in decades. I can't reach those like as lolo feelings. And i also i can't feel the high feelings. I live in this muted palette of beige to perry winkle emotional experiences just so limited and you know like when my friends are are feeling like high moments of joy. And i'm with them or having like a shared moment of grief. One of two things inevitably happened to me either. I have this very visceral feeling of like a garage door. Just sort of closing immune in locking me out of the moment or literally locked out of my body like leave my body and i can't return to it to join in this moment with people because i can't be president in it then i don't form memory of it and it's like i just never was there and i've even ask their pissed like you know in my sociopath and my artistic and they say no you know you. Just have a tendency to disassociate that felt too late for me so so i consulted the world's most powerful dr google doc and i did a web search for like. Why can't cry all these like really sad web searches and i came up with like the web self-diagnosis of deep personalization disorder. And and i thought like. How do i turn this. Turn this into a good thing right. So i my interview for my first nursing job i i figured i would get the question like why do you think you're good fit for the emergency room and i would say something like well and very calm in moments like in highly emotional moments and they would hire me on the spot but they didn't ask the question but they did hire me and i got my first nursing job straight out of nursing school as my dream job is emergency room nurse in starting in january twenty twenty which we all can agree was the moment just before it all hit the fan in new york city and the way it works at this hospital is that you you. Don't go straight to the emergency room. Because i would be crazy for a nurse. They train you. A little bit in inpatient care and i started in an inpatient regular in patient unit and they do things something called primary nursing. Which is that. They tried to assign the same patients to the same. Nurses is often as possible. Because you really get to know that patient you can really do nice treat them like continuity of care they get treated better and i had this one guy that i i've been working with for like a month on. Here's cranky but we really got to like each other in the end. In one day. I come into work and his door shut. And there's a sign now on his door indicating that he's a a covert rule out case had just thought like no way. Not this dude. You know. I've been working with them for so long but it really have time to think about it. 'cause like ten minutes into the shift is oxygen levels drop he codes really fast is in full cardiac arrest and this mid-march we have like no pp in the hospital and and so they were really limiting the amount of people inside the code so it was just they just picked me worst option ever and a new doctor also didn't know anything he was just like. We were just totally out of our depth in on. I'm there on my pumping his chest and there's doctors outside the door and they're yelling at us of what to do or go faster. Pump faster getting this mad. It was the worst relay race is. I was like running together. Bed coming back and push it and like cpr so violent on a body and this guy just he really had very very poor prognosis even before he died this time in so they did the really kind thing which is that. They sort of ended the code a little bit earlier than they would in a normal situation and then and then it was. You know like when you're doing cpr. Like i'm in this moment of. I can credible adrenalin-pumping pumping you've got this. Stinky stress sweats like everything is going slow motion and a million miles at the same time. The monitor's alarming. The most alarming alarm sounds just panic. Inducing and then it's over and you've got all of a sudden there's nothing in this moment between like extreme action in no action at all. I felt it like. There's this tightness in my throat. And i felt a swell rising my body and i thought oh my god. It's going to happen like i'm going to cry. And i just thought three were. Maybe more therapists have like tried to take me to this precipice and failed in here. I was like king of cry mountain. And i was like all right. Keep it cool. As like excuse me and i walked to the storage room and i steadied myself and i tried to like relax. The borders of my body so they would like stretch against my self trying embody trying to leave itself and just as like the cry was just like fixing to breach the surface. The charge nurse comes in practice interruptus. I lost the moment. It all dissolved and went away. I lost my opportunity like a week later as transferred to issue to do my training there and there it was like like hospice in space. You know everybody wearing spacesuits. Everybody had dying of covert at that time you know. There was tubes bringing oxygen and nutrients to people bags. collecting body. Wastes was all very horrible on strange and there was like nothing we could do for these patients. Even though there was so much we wanted to do and And so some days. They're just wasn't like a lot of action and One day my job. I came in charge. Nurse said like your job. Today is to watch this person die. They had a dnr. They were already actively dying. They needed somebody to sort of mark the time of death. And then i guess i would get something do day So i just stood there. You know and i watched through the glass and the numbers just got worse and worse and happens slowly vendor positives and slowly than a positive and all of a sudden he was just dead marked. The time of death ended up. His body prepared him for transport to the mark. And the whole time. I just i just felt nothing you know. They're doing a job a doctor who'd been working alongside taking care of this patient for the last couple of weeks came and he was kind of shaken by the death And he said you know. Are you okay. And i was like. Oh yeah no problem. And like i knew immediately i messed up. You know it was like. I had just shared a part of myself that i didn't mean to share to him and i like. He found out that i was just like robot. Not person like this impostor of human. And now i was really embarrassed that my secret was out at work that i didn't have the skill set to be a human in. So you know i think of of trying as a tool a tool of being human. You know it's controlled by our autonomic nervous system. It's a part of her body. We have no control over. It's a part of her body. That makes us blush. We have a crush. It makes our heart race faster than I've illusionary scientists. There is that crying is this auditory and visual signal to other people that.

"Versus Man I and John and I have been very good for the A's and bags joins us, courtesy of the human guest side. How are you doing? Well, how are you? Are you recovered from the 13 inning affair the other day. Oh, my goodness, I I'm still processing it, And you know it's funny. Yes, who was texting me? The next day? Jayson Stark. He's looking at a billion things that was like I am convinced that was a Jayson Stark fever dream. That wasn't an actual baseball game because there was so much wacky stuff. I mean, just from the exchange of lineup cards first time in baseball history. An NFL team had a D h in the L team did not. You just knew that we were prime for person wackiness, and it didn't disappoint. And I think that impacted the way the game was played because show hey, you know, we thought maybe he'd go out and play the outfield after he left the game as a pitcher, and that's the most He's thrown 105 pitches, but he was dripping wet. Um, just give me your thoughts about and we've seen him on TV, obviously, but it's different when you're covering the game and watching every single pitch. What did you think before we got to the extra inning madness. It was a tight Todd pitching, uh, affair between two of the best splitters in baseball. What did you think of your first time? Really getting close to show? Hey. Yeah, it was. I mean, it's something we haven't seen since. Like your Babe Ruth, right? It's crazy. I was I was talking to Joe Maddon on the field before. Tuesday's game and it's funny. I covered the Angels last year cover. The Angels was 2000 and one and he was the bench coach and I said I said, Look at us Last time I talked to you on this field you were wearing Perry Winkle. Yeah, Angels colours, Uh, when they had the sort of winged color Disney color scheme before they went already won the World Series and And And since then you've managed the Cubs two World Series, and now you get to manage the modern day. Babe Ruth, and he said, Yeah, and I've got my trout coming back in two weeks to so, um, it was a show. You know, it's you did. To see him hit a homer because he's facing probably that the guy who's got the next best splitter in baseball, Kevin Gausman, who used it twice the strikeout, Tony out, Um and you saw the power. I thought. What was fascinating was Alex Dickerson He got he's the only guy ever to get three hits in the game off of Otani. In fact, the the only guys got more hits Total awful. Tony is a George Springer with four and Dickerson got three hits on three different pitches, He hit the splitter. Tony tried the curveball next time, which you hardly ever throws. You know he's searching, trying to find something to get this guy out. And Dickerson wax that one up the middle first single woman. I think he hit a cutter the next time, so that could be a really good sign that Alex Dickerson is starting to heat up. But overall, Yeah, it was. It was Pitching performance was almost became an afterthought with everything that happened after that, and you're right, Greg. It was a huge risk for them to let him hit because they only had two people on their bench with Justin Upton. Getting hurt the previous day, and and it ended up biting them. They had to use Dylan Bundy as a pinch hitter. Um and then obviously Griffin can in the picture ended up playing left field because Kurt Suzuki took the trouble off the masking You hope he's okay, but, yeah, wild game. I mean, we saw the Minister of fireworks cannons, uh, in the scoreboards, Angels win. That's so fast, my friend. Yeah, man that was crazy at extra bags in the athletic Andrew Baggaley. Every Friday at this time, another injury out of that one. Do we? Is there any kind of update on Brandon Belt? I don't anticipate we'll get an official update until Gate Catholic gives his session to the media pregame today about 3 30 or four. So, um, but you know the fact that it is right knee. We know it's the need that he had, uh, a fairly significant surgery on more than just a scope. He had a microfracture procedure done. In 2018 and then struggled in 19 and really admitted in 2020 when he started to performing again that he was starting to feel they had his legs under him for the first time, So it's something that he needed a whole year of really to recover from and get back to 100%. So all of those factors make it a big concern and You know, we can speculate, but we'll probably know more in a few hours and and just hold a good a good hope that it's not something to significant. Well. Farran was on this radio station yesterday afternoon. As you know bags and he was. He's saying it's going to be probably an I'll stand and he's hoping it's not, you know, Long one, so there may be something wrong with belt. And the need. That's not, you know, not just wear and tear on your side of the history. So let's just assume that they do put them on the I l I mean, the obvious thing would be to bring Lamont way Junior back, but the A's are going to start a lefty tonight and they're going to start one on Sunday afternoon. Darren Ralph would probably start those to you. Concert weighed in tomorrow. Do you think it would be weighed? Are there other options that they would turn to more of a right handed hitting component here? Would you think it would be Lamont Way Junior coming back and belt does go. I'll Yes, I mean, there are other options are also left handed. I mean, they've got Joe McCarthy is a guy that we only saw a glimpse of at the beginning of last year and struck out of time, and we haven't seen him since. But but he's a guy who had a good spring. And he's having a good season at Sacramento and the firm offices still excited about him and still thinks he's gonna, um contribute at some point. He's not on the 40 man roster, so they have to put them on. And then Justin bores a guy who's got majorly time. And, uh, there's a lot of fun to watch. And he's they still have him in the system, too. So they have, you know, they have another layer of depth, but you know, not right handed depth. At first base and and the right handed a compliment. That was supposed to be a warmer floors, but they need him at third base with Evan Longoria out. So, um, yeah, I mean, they could. They could move some things around. They could bring a tire Astrada back and Slide to bond over to third and then play floors. At first. There are ways that they could get another right handed bed in there, but I would imagine that it will probably come down to rough starting at first base things, lefties and and like you said, wait for, uh, for belt would probably be the my prediction as well. Andrew Baggaley, joining us stuck in a Zen the Giants. The thing is amazing. There 94 57 combined. That's a 6 23 winning percentage of the the best record the Giants and voted for the Astros. They probably have the best, too, because the Astros have won 11. In a row. I look back to 2014 combined. They had a 5 93 winning percentage, but I know interleague started in 97. But I'm going to venture to say that this is probably the best record that these two teams have had and as far as standings 1st and 3rd best record Since I started this thing You know what? I saw a tweet from Alex Pavlovich that just blew my mind. And it just snuck up on me. I didn't realize it right now. Do you know what team has the biggest lead in the division in baseball?.

They just changed their business model. Basically and Doug, that's pretty fair to say right. You actually did change your business model. You you're going to come back and use the same one, but it has been improved by the organization, putting a lot of These activities online and want you be continuing some of these online camps. How does that work by the way? Yeah. Without a doubt. It was definitely 2020 was a transition for us. And I will see we can't see enough about the volunteers and the board of directors and staff members who rallied together and Immediately started transitioning planning and transitioning programs into virtual formats. And from the camp Perry Winkle, the periwinkle. They can, uh Fall camp yellow. We were able to provide meaningful activities and getaways for these kids and families at Texas Children's Hospital. "I am the Texan from France and my guest Today is Doug Circuit. He is the executive director of Perry Winkle Foundation, an organization that has not skipped a beat despite the fact that they serve Children suffering from cancer they organize. Camps and activities and shows for Children that are going through something that is cruel and unjust to be sick, that young and to have to suffer that much. And we know from pain management philosophies and doctors studying the matter that support from the community from your family and from your friends. Is part of a saw the road to recovery and convalescence and the Perry Wrinkle Foundation provides a support group. For all these kids. They're basically giving all these kids an opportunity to meet with others who are suffering another Tragic, unjust and cruel fate and getting out of it. And Doug. I hope I'm not I I don't mean to harp on the cruelty of the situation, but it's something that pulls at our heart strings. When we see kids that are that are sick. It's just it's not meant to be. And I think that maybe that's one of the driving purposes behind your organization. It generates a lot of empathy, and these Children are not only deserving of our help, but they flourished. They thrive with our help, and the organization is literally changing lives and making a difficult period of their lives a little bit easier, right? Absolutely. That is absolutely correct, Lorant. That's uh Perry Winkle started, you know, 38 years ago as a single summer camp for kids living with cancer are founder Dr Paul Gerson, who is still involved with can't carry Winkle. The doctor radiology at Texas Children's ended MD. Anderson and he tells the story that he was literally walking the halls of the Children's floor and the cancer center. And he said, all that I would see was Dying Children and grieving parents. And he said, We have to do better than this. And what he did was he went And started planning. Can't Perry Winkle As you can imagine, And this was a 1984. They implemented the first camp and took about 50 campers out to camp for the week. And as you can imagine these kids coming out of the hospital or They've been at home for a number of years over months, the pertaining on treatment Got to experience camp just like any other kid. And the real magic happened when these kids returned back home, and they returned back to the hospital setting the doctors, the nurses and everyone noticed this new sense of optimism and the Kids attitude and towards life and towards their treatment of their cancer. And that's what started the Periwinkle Foundation, who today provides a year round series of camps, arts and Survivor programs for cancer patients. You're right. Periwinkles.

"But go. Hadiya's successor, Irakly Harry Bosch, really a 0.22 days later went ahead with the plan. Once you step into Georgian politics, you should be ready to be invited into prison, Nika Malia said sarcastically. But ask many supporters of the governing Georgian Dream Party. And they would point their finger the opposition and say they did the same thing when they were in power. Mr Malia and the leaders off. Seven other opposition parties have been boycotting the parliament since last October's elections, which they rejected as fraudulent. As a result, Georgia, which is considered by many as the most politically progressive country in the region, has effectively became a one party state. Has never bean a coalition government instead of the two main political parties treat each other like mortal enemies. In a recent interview, the new prime minister to be used the word treason in reference to the main opposition party, 33 Times. The Georgian opposition promised to return to the streets in full force to demand Malia is released and a snap election. But today they returned to the streets of belief. See there was a crisis 300 kilometers south in the Armenian capital, Yerevan. Armenia's prime minister announced on his Facebook page that the country was facing an attempted military coup. This was nickel bashing and response to a statement signed by over three dozen senior military commanders calling for his resignation. After firing the head of the army while broadcasting live on Facebook, Mr pushing and called on his supporters to gather in the caravans Main square ever since Armenia's humiliating defeat in the war with neighboring Azerbaijan over the Nagano Cara back territory in November, 2020 The country's prime minister, has been under pressure from the opposition to step down. The war cost Armenians dearly. They lost swathes of Azeri territory previously under their control. More than 3.5 1000 Armenian soldiers were killed. Many of them young conscripts. Thousands more were injured. Dozens of servicemen are still captive in Azerbaijan. But Nicole passion, Yang refused to resign. The opposition calls me a traitor, and if I'm a traitor, then why are so many of you here, the prime minister told several 1000 of his supporters in the Republic Square. Do you think I didn't consider resigning off course I did. But people chose me as their prime minister, and they should decide my fate, not opposition. You call pushing and lead a popular prizing in 2018. I was there and remember the exhilaration in a state of mass joy expressed by the people in the same republic Square. When the ex leader resigned after public pressure, the former ruling party received just 5% of the vote in the next elections. Many of those former officials are now in the opposition. And they're still deeply unpopular. That is the choice that Armenians are facing between the embattled prime minister and an unpopular position. And just like in Georgia, as one commentator put it. To me. It seems that the choice is between the bad and the worst. That was Ray hand. Dmitri. The Yazidis of Iraq off followers of an ancient faith involving angels, which is little understood in often misinterpreted by outsiders. Some Yazidis see themselves as part of the Kurdish ethnic group. Others strongly insist that they are a community apart. When the fighters off the Islamic state swept through parts of Iraq and Syria. They singled out minorities such as the Yazidis for persecution nearly seven years ago when I s arrived in the small farming village of culture In northern Iraq. They separated the mostly as Edie community there into those they would kidnap and those they would slaughter. Has dumped the bodies in mass graves. Only recently have the remains of some of the people. They killed their being returned to culture for proper burials identified by their didna, they could finally be mourned by their relatives. Lizzie Porter was allowed to witness the communal funeral. As the coffins brought into culture village, the pained cries of people mourning the dead tear across the cold breeze. Wailing is laid over the screech and thump of sorrowful pipe and drum music and the rich smell of incense. In a large clearing Iraqi army soldiers placed the coffins on tables, each topped with reeds of yellow and red flowers. Volunteers make a human chain to shield grieving women from view. Some Mourners were lanyards around their necks, the faces of dead fathers, sons and husbands displayed on laminated cards. 103 people being laid to rest here on the sweeping plains of northwestern Iraq, the first of the Yazidis to be given proper burials after they were killed by the so called Islamic state 6.5 years ago. Coach. Oh, in Sinjar district was once a farming village. But the crops have long since shriveled. The animals gone. The only residents here now are a brigade of yours ET fighters who guard the empty buildings and rocky soil against any future insurgent attacks. In August. 2014 I s militants surrounded cultures, population, kidnapping girls and women and killing the men and boys. It was part of a murderous sweep across northern Iraq and Syria. At the U. K and you Parliament's later described genocide against his Edie's Christians and other minority groups. The Yazidis, an ethno religious minority. Targeted by Iris extremists who deemed them Devil worshippers. In all militants killed or abducted 12,000 Yazidis, According to monitoring groups, nearly 3000 girls and women are still missing. People in Sinjar belief that they are being held captive by I s members hiding out in Iraqi cities or across the border in Syria. Local authorities working with the United Nations and international organizations. Exum's remains from the burial places where the militants had dumped the bodies. Medical workers identified the victims using didna samples from surviving relatives. Now, as people return to bury their loved ones. The walls of Cho Cho's abandoned homes stand like gravestones, memorials to the massacre that took place here today. A Perry Winkle blue sky hides behind pale gray clouds. The ground is muddy and Mourners huddle together and black coats and jackets faces worn and tired of life. Man in black kisses. The photo of his father that has been fixed to the end of his coffin. Tears have stained his face. Before the coffin is lowered into the ground. He pulls away the sat in Iraqi flag and nails to it. Using a key is a screwdriver. He struggles to prise his father's portrait from the wooden coffin. Eventually the picture is removed. A man helps to push earth over his father's coffin. Before covering the mound with the Iraqi flag. He clutched his at the sticky brown earth and kneels next to the grave, still sobbing. Only more steadily. But this burial of culture is only really the beginning. These victims are only some of more than 400 people whom I s killed in this village. In turn. Those are a subset of the thousands of victims Yazidis as well as Christians and Muslims. What remains is still to be exhumed and identified from around 200 mass graves in areas formerly and the IAS control in Iraq. To add to the grief of losing their entire communities. Sinjar district remains unstable. For those who have returned here from displacement camps elsewhere in Iraq, electricity runs for just 2 to 4 hours a day. Political disputes between the semiautonomous Kurdistan region of Iraq on the government in Baghdad mean that other services are barely functioning either. Presence of multiple armed groups with competing priorities makes people feel unsafe. Yazidis have little faith in Iraqi or Kurdish authorities ability to dampen their pain. Hosni Elia Samad is another morning crouching beside his uncle's new grave and culture. He says another uncle and Denise are still missing, but doesn't have much hope in Iraqi officials capacity. They say they're ready. But there was no action. He tells me. A few meters away, the man dressed in black and his father's grave stands up and lights a cigarette staring at the muddy ground. A little girl in a pink Willy jump her hair in a topknot handsome award of tissue to wipe away his tears, but he cannot stop crying. How is Lizzie Porter? You're listening to from our own correspondent here on the BBC World Service with me, Pascal Harta. Next we take you to Peru, where there's been plenty.

And you, You've got to get the good quality material at the places like R C. W So keep that in mind if you've never been there, it's worth the trip. No matter where you're coming from. When it comes to replacing fruit trees they've got they've got you covered, too. All right. Has promised we're gonna go to Julian Spring We had one call. Hang up. I think that was a joke or some guy in the middle of Julian Janet, So can it. You moved up the board by one collar. And then we filled it in with Suzanne and Warden. Third. That means we still have the two lines open at 713 to 1 to ktrh that 713. 2125874 Julie Spring. Good morning. Good morning and thank you so much for helping all of us. Well, I don't know how much help it's gonna be. I don't mind talking about it. I want to try. It is nothing ventured. Nothing gained. But it is gonna be sad when we all wake up Wednesday Thursday morning. See what we have What we don't have. I know I'm dreading it. My I don't have any real specialty plants. But I have a couple of quick questions, Frost cost or sheets or both. And which one would you put on the bottom? And which one? Would you put on the top if you want to do double I don't know what you mean by soft cloth. I'm not a promise. Cross clock. Soft cloth. Now, Frost fron people, Frost. I'm sorry. I'm not here. Are you wearing a mask? Not know, But this is our guy was a joke. That has been a problem for me. People are saying things like what? The lower Your Mass. Tell me what you're saying, Um If I had the choice, I would do the frost cloth first and then the sheets or blankets. On top of that. Okay? Okay? And then my other quick question is I have a lot of annuals and just simple little, you know, like Perry winkles paint as tense as have you say that? It would be better and be better to cut those back and cover them or leave them the way they are and cover them. Cut them back and cover them or this came up a lot yesterday. This was an idea that came up yesterday depends on how all newly planted any annual or perennial is, in some cases, even fruit trees that were planted in the last 30 days. If Anything newly planted. Dig it up. Put it in a container. Put it in a A little bit bigger container than you think. You need, you know, heavy on the rows soil, get it in the garage, Getting in laundry room. Whatever you need to protect it if it can come out easily If you mention the word Dinkas or Perry winkles, That means these were the ones from the summer So those air locked in, I'd cut him down. And I'd bury him and bury him in mulch just buried and that, But on Thursday, I would be out there removing everything and getting it exposed to the sunlight and the soon to be 60 degree temperatures. Okay. Okay. Sounds great. Thank you so much. Good question. Sorry. I mis under heard you from the frost pocket. I kept hearing the words soft cloth. Was like, Okay, How is that different from just cloth. I know there are soft cloths out there. There really is. We said Janet moved up the board by one notch. Here comes Janet. Good morning, Janet. You're on the air in mining I was calling about. Yes, ma'am. What's your question? Bother calling about my topiary bottle brush trees there in the ground, and they were playing has about a year ago, and they're full of bugs. And Abbas wonder what to do with them. You have enough on that topiary enough of the trunk that we can cover the trunk with all the different ideas we had yesterday where you know, for everything from burlap to newspaper to carpet remnants. Sheets with tape. Just protect that trunk first. Then I would certainly try to throw frost blankets or sheets on top of the blooms. You're gonna lose them. The blooms are going to get lost. But in this case, it's gonna be better for us to save the trunk. On a topiary type free like this. I don't want that exposed to this cold weather at all. Okay. Thank you so much. Appreciate it. That's how we know you didn't have any kind of topiary question yesterday. That's a good one. All right, 713 to 1 to Katie. Racially this moving fast, be prepared to call it and then fill in the open lines and ask your questions 713 to 1 to ktrh that 713 2125874. Let's go to Suzanne. Next weight. It would help if I got that piece of paper out of the way and that could hit the call screener button little more effectively. Suzanne. Good morning. You're on the air. Good morning, Randi. We're a long time listener and a first time caller. We have a question about time. First time. We have a knockout Rose. That's a pink blooming rose. Cup and it's about four years. No, maybe about seven years old. Couple of years ago, I took a piece of a red rose. That had broken off and I just transplanted it in the bottom of the pot. It's in a container. And I left it there grew was doing real good. And then I took it out and I transplanted it into another pop. But that year On the first bloom of the pink Rose. It bloomed red. And now this Rose Bush. Has more red in it and has made the think darker. Can you tell me what happened there? Let me tell you right up front. That is not unusual. You don't have any kind of freaky Frankenstein plant there. It's really not unusual for roses, especially knock out roses. To do a change in color when the weather When you did it, it did it during a perfect weather thing where normally it's the colder weather that intensifies the paint to a red. Age and hot weather fade them, too, but knock out roses, for example. Are perfect examples of if it hit a certain weather pattern. When you planted, it is exposed to certain whether is it will change colors not unusual. Okay. I thought maybe I invented something new there. You didn't know that. I used to think that when it came to my high biscuits. And, uh, Wow, I've got this great Frankenstein. But it turns out with the high biscuits societies like it's normal, depending on certain weather conditions, certain cultural conditions. You can change colors on these plants. And Rosa. Blue Morning glory to Perry Winkle. So it's It's kind of blew in that color. So almost a true blue. I think you'll find it very fascinating. Um Other things on my list here.
