"Something that. You felt good that you were able to witness it. Because as I said it, it was a teaching moment for everybody. Yeah, it reminds me of that expression. In life, the game's not over until you win. And in life, it's not over until you put in the ground. So no matter what happens to you, there's still until you've consciously quit or given up the game never ends. It never is. You know, sometimes at the end of a round, you see a guy we're like, oh, ten more seconds. He killed he knocks this guy out. Well, in life, you get that extra ten seconds unless you die, you still in the fight, so keep punching. Is he gave everyone a beautiful pen? I really was that zaya moment. It really was. I was, I was like, and I tweeted it. I tweeted, and then what do I hear the guy say? I hear them say Muhammad Ali, George Foreman. I was like, wow. Wow, I forget who said it. I dig is you said it. And I think one of the common, you know, and I said, wow, that's exactly what I felt. That's exactly. And is he later on in his he was doing an interview after this conference? Yeah, and the press conference. He mentioned he said something about me. You know, whatever. He said something about that he had been watching the fireman speech from one of the fights that I was in a corner with one of my fighters. And you know, I was about basically, you know, for him, it related. You know what I mean? Yeah. He related to it. It was, it made sense for him to hear that. Because he was going into the fire. You know, he was facing, he was facing a fire. But that George Foreman I'm telling you when I was watching I was saying, wow, I know what he's going to do. He's going to shoot the right hand just like Muhammad Ali did against George Foreman when George Foreman draw a wide punch or a slow jab, whatever he drew the right handle. I don't know if it was inside a local. On top of a jab, but I said it's the same thing. It's sure enough. Sure enough, it was that it really was that Muhammad Ali, George Foreman moment. Yeah, no, I agree. Well, teddy, I think we've broken broken it all down this week. The other thing I want to talk to you about next week, we don't have time today, but the disappearance of auto wallin. My friend Frank shattuck, the Taylor. He always asks me, what do you think is going on with auto wall? And he looks great against Tyson Fury. The guy can't get a fight to save his life. Him and his train at Joey gamache does the Swedish heavyweight who was in who gave fury Ollie could handle. You got anything else before we say goodbye? I think that's enough. But while I could tell you one thing, my friend David Boleyn was one of the attorneys from my foundation. He's been with me for years and is. Promoted by Dmitri's a leader. I believe Dmitry Selena. And like I said, David Bolin is manager. I know they have them. And I know that they've, you know, they got them. They had a deal with showtime, I believe, was showbox, where they had gotten them one or two fights there. But I don't know what's going on. I don't know, really if he's been injured or we'll come back to it next week. I'm sure I'm sure given fury fits in that fight ain't helping his prospects for getting in against anyone other than someone who has to fight him. But we'll cover it all next week. Teddy, thanks for all the breakdowns. This was incredibly thorough. We gave you over two hours of analysis and breakdowns here. Hope to have Izzy on the show. And we'll talk about it more next week because the fight's not for two weeks, but we've got a fight plan coming out with Ryan García and tank Davis. We were in the ring in the Trinity boxing club. Coming out Wednesday, right? Wednesday. Next Wednesday up. Next Wednesday, the fight's a week from Saturday, so we'll talk about that next week as well. But with that, thanks everyone for being with us. Hope you enjoyed this. Teddy, thank you, have a great week and we'll see everyone next week. Should we have one so we just have to turn the sun cooler coming

"Whether the guy couldn't take complete liberties. He set, he set a patent, atone, and that first round, you know what the first round was all about. It was all about exercising the ghost. Chasing a ghost from past out of his attic. Get the hell out of my freaking attic. You son of a beast. Get out of my, and he set the tone by having a round where it was a very close round. But it didn't matter. It was a competitive close round, but it was around he needed to exercise the ghost to get to the next stage of this fight. And he believed that there was going to be a moment. He believed that it was, that was ordained that there's going to be a moment. And then what happens? So he gets so he goes back to his corner with the confidence with the ghost removed. That's what he needed. It didn't matter if he won around. He went back that he had that kind of round. And now he comes out for the second round. And there's no doubt. The biggest stronger monster Pereira is winning. He heard some of the leg kick, he hid some with a leg kick. He puts him up against the ropes or in reality the cage. He puts him up against the game. He hits him a good body shot. I don't know if anybody saw that. And he hit him with a knee, but it wasn't nothing was purely clean, but it was enough. It was enough to impact him. He hit him with some punches, it impacted him, but it wasn't clean, clean. He was fine. He was good. He was still together, his vision was there. He had the night goggles on. He was seeing everything and at that moment, I transported somewhere else in my mind. You know where I transported where I looked at this, I said, oh my God, this is eerie eerily similar at reminiscent of something that I know. Something I've seen before. And you know what it was? Zaire, it was Zaire. It was George Foreman and Muhammad Ali and Ali late in a fight playing a rope a dope and all the big shot from the monster. Pereira's the monster, the big bully, if you will, the big powerful guy that could not treat out. He was foreman. He represented foreman, Pereira was foreman, and undefeated the whole thing. And he's drawn these shots, you know, and he's on the rope. I know it's not the robbers, the cage. He was doing a cage a dope, and he's doing the cage he top is against the cage and I'm watching otherwise said, oh my goodness. Oh my God. He's Ali right now. He's Muhammad Ali, the mindset everything, where he's got this monster in front of him. He knows what he's going to do. He knows the moment's going to come. He knows he's going to get a moment. He's not terrified. He's not terribly shaken. He got buzzed a little. He's fine. He's together. He's looking for that moment. He's searching for that moment. He's in a place he needs to be. And then all of a sudden bang. And you know why bang because he made a basic mistake that a lot of these guys are boxing make and in MMA. Where there it is. Thank you, rob. Thank you so much. And I don't run it. Don't run it. Wait till I tell you, wait till I tell beautiful. He made a mistake. And there it is. There's the proof to the put. There you can't get more proof than what I'm saying. I'm saying it, and I'm showing it. He made a mistake that is a table thing in my gym. And when I teach a fighter, the one thing they can never do ever. Even if they get away with it, they can lead with a love token front because you know what you're in front of, you're in front of the right hand. And you know what? If you ever learned anything about simple geometry, straight beats round, a straight right hand beats around the hook. And when I never, ever, ever, ever, ever. Allow my fighters to lead with love to hydril them to their sicker hearing me. You can lead with a love token fun of a guy because if you do, you might get hit a right hand. And that's exactly what happened. He led with the love token fun, and now you can run it, rob. Thank you so much. He led with the love took in front and he drew the nice bodies shot I talked about, right? And then he the knee, everything I talked about, but he's still together. He's on the ropes. He's still together. And now he's going to lead with a left hook. Bang. The right hand gets there right on the chin and I guarantee you he never saw it. I guarantee you that the last thing Pereira remembered was he was about to land the love talk and it never landed. And then somebody had to shake him and wake him up and say son, you have to get up. And it's over. And then the follow-up. He reloaded, he finds his second one was placed behind the that's a that is a damning place to get in because when you get hit there, it destroys equilibrium. So he's gone now. He's completely gone now. It all starts with the opportunity given him the mistake by Pereira Pereira opened up the door to his own demise. He didn't realize that he probably does now. He opened the door to his own demise by leading with a left talk, there it is. There was no open door before. Now the door was open and that's what is new. He was ordained for this. Is he new that that moment would never was? There it was like, okay, I know what to do. I prepared for this moment. I kept myself together and he shot the right hand in that open window that opened the door. He landed it. He reloaded. He led the second one then he came with the hammer fest. And let me qualify something with that. It's important. A lot of people thought, oh, that was anger. That was unnecessary. That was anger. No, it wasn't. No it wasn't. No was it. That was easy, being prepared. So locked in, it had nothing to do with anger. Matter of fact, I would argue it's the opposite. He was ice cold. It was no emotions of anger at all. It was, that was, that was, that was brought, that was brought along by his mindset of kill or be killed. And I don't mean literally, but you guys know what I mean. Kill a big kill that I'm in there with a killer. I'm in there with a guy that knocked me out. Twice. I can't go be conquered. I have to be of the mindset. I have to make sure that this guy is that I finish him. He's a dangerous guy. He finished me twice. I have to be locked into the mindset. A cold mindset. Not an angry one. A cold is mindset that when my opportunity comes and it will come, I have to make sure that he's

"To him, and I was saying, wow, MMA, UFC does the same thing. Does the same thing? He basically was saying that UFC saved his life, that it took this kid that had nothing, whatever he was, and it just gave him a life. I don't know if it saved his life, but it definitely bet it his life embedded in turn as a person as he evolved to the things he evolved in that life in that experience in that journey. So I was very impressed by that. I was impressed that he had the right fight plan. Obviously it was a big underdog, I was impressed that he had the right fight plan where he knew that he had to strike. He didn't want to go on a mat. He's very good at escaping, takedowns, and he did a great job of surviving in an escaping takedowns when he had to mass the door and he's really good at it. But he didn't want to be on the mat, earning his living, trying to win a fight. With this jiu-jitsu master and grappling master of birds. So he was striking he had the right plan. He was moving, trying to keep more balance, trying to mix things up enough where birds couldn't get set. And you know, just keep changing things enough, as I said, keeping birds off stride and he did a great job in the first round of making it a very close round. He probably lost around because at the end burn took him down. And that it wasn't much to separate around. So that probably won around for, I mean, for burns. But either way, it was a smart round fam. At 39 years of age, he had to be swam he had to come up with a specific plan. He did. He gave himself the best chance he had at this point in his life and career to win, to be competitive. It wasn't to be after the first round, you got to sense the tide was coming in. You know what I mean? The tide was coming in because then burns said, okay, freaked us. I'm going to get him to my place at geography. I always talk about. It's always about the geography. Getting to the geography that fits you with your skill levels the best. And for birds who is to take them down and get them to Matt. And he got him to the mat. He controlled around, Masvidal, again, as I said, did a great job surviving when he had to birds dominated around one around, again, took it to his forte, took it to where it made sense for burns. And then the third round I was very impressed with burns. I'll tell you why. And with Mazda door because he kept it competitive, but I'll tell you why and Masvidal did everything he could. As I said, at this point in his career to have a chance. But would impress me about burns was he could have went to the mat again. And you know, obviously he has a huge, huge, huge advantage there. But instead, he went into the Wheelhouse of Masvidal, where Mazda had the best chance to win. Striking. And then for the most part he struck with him, and he won that game. He landed enough hard right hands and miles for those showed a good chin. He took some really, really good ride because I know that oseman and his second fight had knocked him out. But so people would say, well, listen, birds is strong. He's a physically strong son of a gun whether on a mat or landed a punch. And he landed some good right hands on Masvidal and Masvidal handled them. Pretty, pretty damn good. He got impacted. But he had little damn good. And I was a president again that burns went to the strength the Wheelhouse of what Masvidal is good at. And that's how he finished out. He won the third round. In his house, so to speak. You know, striking. And he landed enough big right hands to make it very clear that he was the winner. And I just want to applaud burns for the class he showed afterwards and the worry he's been. He deserves to get to get a title fight. He's only fought the best for so many years. He gets in with anybody and he's got a chance with anybody. But I want to congratulate Masvidal for the career that he had. And for all the moments he gave us, he gave us a lot of great moments and this is the end. I think it is. He gave it because he took care of his family. He took care of his troops while he made a lot of money late in his career. God bless him. And so I really believe that he's gone. And again, thank you, George, for the moment you gave us. You gave us some real great highlights. You always gave everything you had. Thank you for

"If we're going to add, he obviously he won by a third round stoppage. I think I failed to mention that. Great stoppage. Stop and puns and is quite a feather in his cap, but no, listen. What he did. First of all, I wanted to start with that point that this guy could be as good as anybody because I see that kind of talent. And I see that he's a promoters the light. Maybe if you want him to wear the black hat, he's not going to do that. He's not the bad guy. He's not the villain. He's a good guy. But he actually be a good candidate to work with you. I think that you would work really well with a guy like that. So if he's watching. He looks like a good guy. And look, he's a promoter's dream again. He's not kind of McGregor who could be the bad guy and all that stuff and say certain things. I think it's a great guy from what I've been told, but you know, again, they have to they have to promote themselves to make money. You know, to get together looked at, so to speak, as good as they are, and so they have to pick a character. So to play, so to speak. But for me, Holland plays himself to a certain extent. He's an amiable, great personality of people's person. I think he's a promoter stream. Again, even though he's not doing the derogatory things, the crazy things that get a lot of attention in a promotional world, I like what he does. He's a fun guy to see and to be around to hear, like I said, as far as the talent meeted the talent meter goes way up. It goes way up. It will come down to like it does always to the mental side. How consistent he can be, you know, in this realm of pressure. In his cauldron, there's this cauldron of fire that these guys have to go into. Forget about the physical side. You know, how consistent can he be? How strong can he be in those areas from a mental standpoint? For me, that comes down to confidence. It comes down to true belief. You know, all of those things. It comes down to mental toughness, all of it. So that's a part put away, then this guy, this guy could be a problem for anyone. As far as obviously he's a terrific striker, he stopped once in. He stopped punching nibio. Because pods and nibio made a technical mistake. In my book, he did a real no no. If a guy does this in a ring while they're training with me in camp, I get in a ring and I actually stopped this foreign and say, no, no, no, no, no. You got to correct this because this is taboo. This is something that will get you knocked out. If you keep doing it. And that's going straight back in front of your opponent. You can't just go straight back from the wrong distance in front of your opponent. Because of your opponent follows you, which Holland did, give him credit, right away was calm, he knew what to do. He followed him. He stepped out with him, and when you step out with a guy going straight back, that guy is still in a line of fire. And he was in a line of fire, Holland stepped with him, narrowed him on the way out, and put an end to the night for Ponce nibio. And put an end to me having to pronounce his name anymore. So credit to Holland, I really like you. Your frontal watch, your talented is how I hope it all comes together for you. I really do. And I think that might have been a fight that odd tweak got up on the air. I don't know exactly which one it was, but that might have been a one that we actually got up to, you know, on a Broadway again, you know? Which gets me excited. Misty eyed. I don't know. Anyway, next up, co main Gilbert burns and Jorge Masvidal Jorge Masvidal obviously friend of the show has been on a couple of times. Tough loss for Georgie, I think it's probably his last fight. He didn't use the word retire, which I think is the key. He intimated it. The intimate book, if you say this is about to kill son and if you say retired versus implying you're officially retired and if you want to fight the next day, you got to go 6 months. Thank you everybody. He was taking everybody taking the sport toner. He did a great job of talking afterwards. He really did. He did himself proud. Showed class. They bolted, burns all class still. What a warrior. But, you know, it's the same thing with Masvidal. You got to give him a lot of credit where he came from. I mean, he came from the Kimball slice school of backyard YouTube fighting that nobody had ever heard of. Nobody had ever seen. And then probably one of the most intimidating things I've ever watched on YouTube in the early days when you see there's something about seeing two grown men who know how to fight, fight in the street, I don't care who you are. You see those punches hitting face, you're like, oh shit, someone's getting hurt. Someone's gonna get hurt here. Get the kids out of here. He came from there. Extraordinary journey. Extraordinary journey. I look where he got to the Pinnacle of the sport. Really, give him credit. When I say the Pinnacle, I know he didn't win a title, but he was in the biggest fights. He was in title fights. He fought the best fighters. He had 50 fights. He started 9 years old. He's at the end of the track now. The end of the road now, but give him credit for the careers. Give him credit for the way that he conducted himself afterwards. You know, it reminded me his speech afterwards, which I was really touched by. I thought it was, I love when these guys take a moment to say things that are worthy things for people to hear, that could impact people. To help people help to future generations in this case. And the way he talked was what I used to talk about on ESPN. I used to talk about how boxing saves people's lives. How many kids that have saved their life? And that nobody talks about that. They talk about the brutality, the knockouts, the blood, all of that dangers, but not about how it's saved so many kids lives. Changed them, turned them around. Not only made money for them, but made men out of them made better people out of them. Gave them direction that they didn't have. That boxing did that. I saw an example. I was listening to him, and I was saying, wow, MMA, UFC does the same thing. Does the same thing? He basically was saying that

"That. It's kind of like the story I tell my grandkids. The about the tortoise and the hair. It's a great story, Ken. And so it's as old as time, where the hair is so fast, the rabbit he runs out and he goes, and he starts, you know, run and run and run and he gets way out, but the tortoise just keeps coming. The rabbit gets lost here and there was a little time to do that. You know, that happens when it experienced rapids inexperienced has and what happens to tortoise just keeps chugging along, chugging along, chugging along, and he gets there first. And the raptor can't believe it. With all the speed, with all the talent, there's something to being steady. And you can't get steady. Without experience. And that's still one thing that rose was missing. He showed in that one round that he has talent. That he has talent to build on, there's a reason why the head hands show Dana White and everybody that know their businesses are excited about Los Haas. Roses. There's a reason. He showed that in the first round. But he also showed the reason why he's not ready yet. Because of that lack of experience. And Rodriguez showed you the value of experience. Yeah, talents explosive neon talent. So very important. And rose has probably more of those talents than Rodriguez. Probably. But the quiet talents that I always talk about. I'm rave about. I mandate about the talents that I talked about you kind of has. The talents of being dependable, reliable, consistent, that those talents, they're very important too. They're more important. And you get those talents from experience. You get those elements from experience. They will, they are born from experience. They're born from habits that are born from the life you've lived, the responsibilities that you have in your life. The way you go about those responsibilities, the discipline you practice in your life, but they are developed by experience. And Ross knows, didn't have it. And Rodriguez didn't have some of those quick twitch fibers that rose has had. Some of those genetic neon talents that rose's has. But he did have the most important ones. And they showed, and his experience took over. As you said, he survived, he survived the first round with his experience, and then he took Walter's and he took him out into the ocean and he drowned him. That's. What he did. He survived their early storm. And he said, your mind, on the boss, and he was the boss. And he took him, you know, he took a guy that I talk about a lot of times when I break down fights coming up, where this guy's been in the waiting pool. The waiting pool, the waiting pool, and now he's going into the deep end. Now he's going into the ocean. I don't know if he's ready. And it turns out he was going from the waiting pool to the ocean, and he wasn't ready. You know, very impressive Rodriguez are very impressive and this kid will get better from this experience. If he's got the intangibles, the character. The werewolf falls to want to really be something. If he's got that, those fibers, this fight will wind up being the most important fight of his career. Well, because it's a fight that will be a formative fight that will make him get to the things he needs to do to get better. To see what he needs to see to get better. To get into the part of the journey to get better, that he has to get into. This fight at the end will serve him. As I said, if he winds up having a great career, he'll look back at this fight and say, it's because of that fight that I was able to get unattractive I needed to get on. To improve the areas and to become what I needed to become. So that's all I have to say about that. Two quick comments. The first one is when I think about the expression taken them into the deep end into the deep water and drowning them. It reminds me of and rob can attest to this is like Iron Man racing. Everybody wants to qualify to go to the big one in Hawaii. And to do that, you might raise Iron Man, Texas, where you're in a Lake, and it starts in waves, so there might be 200 people in your age group, men 40 to 44, go. And you're in a Lake, you got on a wetsuit. It's relatively calm on a relative basis. Then you go to Hawaii and you qualify for the big show, and it's 2000 plus a type alpha type guys. And it's a mass start and you start floating in the water, 15 minutes before the race starts in water over your head, so you're treading water. Everyone's jockeying for position. Everyone thinks they're in the Olympics. And then they say, go shoot a cannon and you got 2000 people on top of you swimming in an open ocean with currents and waves. And that's what it reminds me of for just for context for people who might not have ever been in a fight. That's what I think about is like, oh shit, we were in the we were in the training pool and now we're like swimming with sharks and it's dangerous. People are on top of you, but anyway, that was a great breakdown. Thank you for that. Let's keep going with the rest of the car. Let's jump into Kevin hall and Santiago punts and nibio. Kevin hall and the commentators pointed this out. He's probably a contender for a title shot. He's willing to fight anyone anytime he's got a great personality. The guy seems to find controversies outside of the ring. I feel like I've heard of like two or three different fights he's been in outside of the ring either with shamia or with stopping crimes. Super interesting guy always talking during the fight at one point. He said the punts and nebula during the fight in Miami. Do you smell weed? Is just an entertaining guy. He's got all the talents and skills that you would look for in a marquee type fighter to market around. Seems to be very nice guy. How'd you like that fight? Kevin Holland gets to win over puns in ibu. I'll reiterate a little bit of what you said. I really like Holland as a person. He's very likeable, very amiable. How could you not like at least what we know? What we see. He's smart. He's got a great personality. And he's got lots of physical talent. For me, the one problem or maybe stumbling block that could hold to him a little bit from the very, very, very top because he's got a lot of talent to be the very, very top. There's no doubt about. But the one possible infants from being at that very top or just more consistent maybe with all the ability that he possesses as a draw what I talk about. It's all upstairs. You know, I always talk about 75% of my business is mental, no different for MMA. You know, when you're getting in that cage and the threat so what they are, and the environment is what it is, things change quick. It's not just physical. It's mental. And for me, that's the only that's the only thing that could stop this guy is that his head is always right. The mentor area.

"I'm like, no one has an engine like that. That goes that hard. That fascinating maintain that pace and sure enough, obviously I'm not an analyst. I'm not a fight expert, but I know human nature and if you start the race at a four minute mile pace and you can't run 7 minute miles for ten miles, you probably ain't finishing the race. And that's the only thing that I could think of was Jesus, this kid is awesome at jiu-jitsu. He's got he's tremendously excited. Man, Christian Rodriguez just absorbed all of his energy, used it against him, lost the first round and then beat the dog crap out of him for the next two rounds. I mean, he dominated from just dominated him on the feet on the ground. And when he had him on the ground, the commentator said it was almost like roses was a fish out of water. He didn't know what to do with this kid and Rodriguez cool calm and collected. Had many chances to get him in a rare naked. The commentators were saying he's purposely not doing it. I think if he could have choked him, he would have, but I think they also, I think a lot of people underestimate how hard it is to get a choke on someone who doesn't want to be choked. I say this to like Poirier all the time. When you go for a guillotine choke in practice, it's not that hard to get because most people don't want to break their neck to get out of there. In a fight where people will risk their life to win that fight, they're not gonna tap easily until it's until either they're out or they've run out of options in this a million examples we can point to. But that's what I thought of when I saw rosas unloaded the tank ran out of energy and Christian Rodriguez all credit to this guy. He absorbed all that energy used it against him and looked awesome and stopping real sauce first loss. Sorry, that was long winded, but this fight had me excited. How'd you like it? Well, the short version of really getting right and I'm not trying to get around with you going along. I love hearing what you said. But for me, I gave the short version of it. It simply came down to a very old axiom. That we use in my business. We will use it in other businesses or people to. But in my business, it's an old cliche term. He took them into deep waters and he drowned them. I mean, that would be the short version of really explaining exactly what happened. And that is, and there's one other story I can tell you. We had some really young good fighters up in catskill. I was training. And I remember one time one of them, very, very, very talented. Because started talking about what he needed now. And he says to me, you know, I'm a young trainer. I've been working my backside off to teach the guy all the fundamentals. And you know, get them right, right? Where he could use the talent he had in the right way by learning by having good technique. And cause says to me, this is a story for everyone I think, cause says to be teddy. He only needs three things now. So I'm always, okay, because what's those three things? I thought I gave him everything he needs. He needs experience. Experience and experience. And that's what that's what life comes down to sometimes. And that never showed itself more clearly, you know, that it did, as you just said, then it did Saturday night in that cage in Miami. Where he was running too fast. When you don't have to experience, it's not just about conditioning. It's about the mental part, knowing you can handle yourself in a certain area that you don't know yet. That's what you need to know that. That knowledge that confirmation. People need the number machines. They need to be confirmed. They need confirmation that I'll be okay and you don't know you're going to be okay until you've been there until you have that experience. And that's part of it, not knowing if you can be all right. And those altitudes. And that competition at that level until you know. And when you don't know, there's other forces that take over. You run too fast. The engine is the engine is running idling to pay. You know when you're in an engine can you know a lot about cars

"I don't want to hear these pieces. These contrived pieces that they film pieces that go three, four minutes, 5 minutes long. You know, building up in this case, it was no, it was yoshino. It was the opponent. Build them up like how good he is or why we should, even though he's always fun in Japan and we haven't heard about this guy. That doesn't mean nothing. The guy doesn't catch the guy. And he's telling you all the stuff about why we should watch yoshino. Why yoshino has a chance to win. Why he's special. Why in other words, you got to watch this. You know, and then the same thing happens. The same thing happens. The guy, the guy shouldn't be in a ring. And then the truth always comes to the surface. When it's over with, it's like, no, he's a handpicked opponent. With all the, so you could have saved whatever the production cost was on that piece. You know, really 50,020 1030 thousand. Whatever it was you had to have a truck go there, you have to fill. You could have saved the money on that piece because it was all BS, because and you know what? Just like the fans get tired of, you can't lie to feather, where you're going to put them talented guys like Stevenson, so talented. So talented. You're going to put them in with these hand paint. No, the fans are going to vote with their feet. They're going to, they're going to walk away. They're going to step away. The ratings are going to drop. And they have. The ratings are going to drop. Well, they're not going to believe anymore. They're not going to watch. The same thing with these pieces. Do you think the fans are that stupid? And a certain point at a certain point, Ken, the fancy the same piece by narrated, and good words. Don't get me wrong. They don't know how to talk. The guy knows how to talk. Oh yeah. Just because of this, you shouldn't pick this. You shouldn't say that. You should take this. Because of that, you shouldn't pick there. And then when it was all over it, you know what I said? Yeah, I should take it because it's the same freaking thing. The guy was handpicked. The proof is in the pudding. When it's all over with the referee has to stop it, the poor hapless guy has no chance at all. Never had a chance to pull a son of a gun all the way from Japan and we had to sit to a 5 minute piece saying a guy had a chance to start please. Stop it. Stop it. Stop it. Oh my goodness. Oh, teddy. Before we jump into fights we're actually everyone had a chance over in the UFC. But wait, let me finish with this record breakdown. That is much to break down. Listen, Shakur is a good fighter. But you know what makes you call good his talent? His IQ, he's a smart fighter. He's got good good skill levels of speed and everything else. And his defense. And his style. He has a very difficult style to do styles make fights. They don't only have talent. He's got his style that's very difficult to deal with. But we give the truth. That's the truth. That is accolades. That is kudos. He deserves all of that. And he had a lot of amateur fights who he's calm in an uncommon environment. He won a silver medal in Olympics, so he's been in there with the best in the world for a long time as an amateur with a lot of fights, a lot of experience. So those are beautiful kudos. Now, we give the whole week to the whole deal here, Ken. We do the whole cat scan here. Now here's what he's not. It's not a knock on him. He's a fast handed guy who's a good caterpillar, a good defensive fighter who's got a high IQ who's got a difficult style to deal with. Here's what he's not. There are going to tell you, but I'll tell you, and again, it's not a knock. It's me too, my job, okay? You want a tissue, you want to cry here. Here's a tissue here. Yeah. No, no, seriously. Go cry somewhere else. But don't cry here. Because I'm just doing my job. Okay? And I know that most people don't tell you the truth that don't do that around you because they want to get paid. I understand. I hope you're not in a position one day where that comes back to haunt you where you say somebody would have told me the truth. I hope you're not in that position because it's lonely because it is. But God bless you. You're making a lot of money. You become enriched. You deserve it. You worked your whole life to be a fighter. But here's what he's not. Stevenson's not very exciting. Now, listen, it all depends on what your pleasure is. If I've said it a million times, I say it real quick. If you're a guy that likes to go to a baseball game to see good pitching, hey, should cause your man. But if you want to go to see home runs go over the fence, he's not your man. Because what he's but that doesn't make him a tremendous fighter. And he is what he's not. He's not ultra exciting. He's not a finisher. If he was a finish, he would have got rid of the guy without the referee happening again. So he's not a finisher. You know, he's not a big puncher as much as that, you know, gets onto some of their skin, some of the it is what it is. He's not a big puncher again. He would have got rid of the guy, you know, without the referee having to finally say enough is enough. I mean, this is not right. It's like getting it's getting sadistic over you. It's like watching one of those wacky kids pull the wings off a fly. Like who wants to watch that? I mean, that's who wants to watch that. That's not competitive. That's not right. That's crazy. That's a little one sided. And so he's not a finisher. He's not a puncher. He's not tremendously exciting. You know, but he's a guy that's got a style that I'll tell you if I had a fight. I wouldn't love to fight him because it's hard to look good with a besides hard to beat him. It's hard to even look good with him. So the fight was exactly what I thought it would be what anyone with a brain in their head in this business would an old would be. They had a hand picked guy and it was, you know, he could do what he wanted. And what did he do? He controlled range very well. You come in 6 inches with Shakur. He goes back 9. He makes you come up short and then he sets up countess.

"I'm Ken Ryder joined as always by the voice of all combat sports and legendary author, the great teddy Atlas, teddy, how you doing? I'm good, good. I just finished, you know, it's funny. I feel like I was in a ball pen, like a pitcher woman up, just did a podcast with our friend, trying to just a great person, great commentator for UFC, but he's one of the best. Commentators in any sport I take anyway, he's so smooth these season algebra does his homework. Obviously the UFC has a great team with all the guys they have over there with Rogan and with D.C. and just one after another business bane and I mean it's a murder of his role. Like I've said once before, it literally is a murderous role because those guys come over to you. You know, so it truly is. But he had me on his podcast this morning. So I was doing that, like I said, getting ready for us. And it was just nice. It was nice, as I always say. It's not a difficult formula for me. I just want to be around good people. And it was, and obviously competent people, too, that helps. But it's just nice to be around him and his partner, Kenny. And then he had a guest come on in the middle of it. Because I guess we kept calling longer than that happens. I think offense know that. That sometimes we go longer than we anticipate to go. Especially me. So we wound up having ray Lago the great MMA coach come on. In the middle, I was supposed to be gone, but I was still there. And so we talked together a little bit. He has some interest in questions we talked about, you know, what would it be if I could pick out one or two items from a technical standpoint that I thought that the MMA world could improve on, the one that stuck out to me was just defense, you know, that these guys are so offensive oriented that, you know, and as such, monsters and so tough that, you know, defense comes second. And you know, it's something that, you know, everybody could be better defensively. But for me to be asked to pick out one thing, I thought it was that it was that part of it, the defensive part. In order to stick out to me when you say that is Dustin Poirier, I feel like he slips the punches in his really comfortable in the pocket bobbin. And he's got better. He's got that much. Again, that's part of, as part of what is automatic or there would MMA and you have seen in particular that's not their boxing. They get put in with good fights we learn. You have to get better, where some of these guys, for their first 20 fights and box and we've talked about it forever, where the record's getting better and fatter, and maybe their paycheck is getting bigger. But they're not getting better. Fighting the guys that they're put out in front. They're not approving. They're not being forced to improve. They're not being forged in a fire. In a mental aspect of it, all the technical or physical aspects of it. You know, they're just going through, guys, that shouldn't be in the ring with them. That's the interesting thing teddy about MMA is that even when you're in the amateur ranks in the early days of the pros, you never know who you're going to be in with. You could be in with a guy who was a world champion jiu-jitsu black belt. And if you don't have, if you don't have elite level jiu-jitsu, you will not survive. You might get a guy who was a golden gloves boxer and you've been boxing for 12 months. You are not going to survive with a guy who's a master at any one of those crafts. So the point is, you have to be on your toes from the jump in boxing. We've seen it. They're giving guys they give in real competent professional fighters, like you'd say, cannon fodder. Guys, they should not be in a professional. They're not getting partners. They might have won the Olympics or the nationals. They've been fighting top fighters in the amateurs for years. And now they're downgrading. They're putting them in with guys that they wouldn't get in a ring with The Avengers. Because they're going to say we're going to they would say is beneath them. They would say, yeah, unfortunately, because it's actually on TV. They would actually say it's beneath them. I'm not finding that guy. I'm past that. I'm not going to gain anything from that. But, you know, in the prose that changes, of course, and they want to build the records and make money. And the partners of the promoters, the network that says sugar daddy, so they want to keep their sugar daddy happy by having undefeated glossy records. But the whole surface, the fight itself is he don't necessarily get as good as you should get. But where he's already good, he comes from gold medal silver meadow, whatever. He's already good. He had 200 amateur fights. You already know how to fight to a certain level. But

"So I knew right away that you would grant that you'd run with it. All right, now because there's no one can doesn't know by the way. So here he's getting bigger and bigger. It starts just keep getting brighter. Thanks. Listen, he, Shane Mosley, was a top guy. And he fought a guy got plus like, I want to say a prayer for him because he passed away way, way too young. My father. But he fought vertebras. And same Moseley was the favorite. Here's the thing where there's a similarity with what I'm talking about with Pereira and I decided where verdant forest had beaten Shane Mosley in the amateurs. That stayed with him. Now listen, part of it was the style mad shop, you know, that he you could say he had his number. Certain people have certain people's numbers can. They do. They end up making proof of it. They have, I'm giving you some tangible here proof, exhibit a in a courtroom to show it. They just have to number. And Vernon farmers had made most of these numbers. Not just technically the way for it. That was a part of it. The way that he approached it, the way he fought his technique, styles make fights, but also mentally. He had beaten them and what does he do? Even though Mozart was the favorite, he beats mostly the first time they fight. He beat some of the second time. And I remember when people were asking me about that. Teddy, who do you predict the second time? What do you think I said, even though I talk mostly was a better fighter more explosive than a lot of areas. Certain areas, although farther through the good solid fighter and a big guy. But I said, I like far as again. He's got his number. He's got bats in his belfry. He's got ghosts in it in his attic. And sure enough, he won again. That's what you're dealing with here. That you're dealing with that. That's the key. And as far as like you said, he was winning every minute of every round until he wasn't winning anymore. Bang. That sudden. That was that shock she consciousness. I mean, that reminded me a little bit of a boxing match years ago that was that sudden was big John Tate. He was heavyweight champion of the world. He was fighting Mike weaver and Mike was the underdog. And Hercules, what a body he had. And weave his winning the whole fight. Back in those days, it was a 15 round fight, so it was 12. He would have still been chapped, but it was 15. And in the 15th round, way ahead in the fight, weaver, who could punch just like Pereira. Hit some love took Ken. And felt like a tree. And no forest. I mean, he fell face first. And he was out. It was a rocky moment. It was like a real life rocky moment. He way before rocky was made. And he falls full of flat on his face against her. That was suddenness that I close to the suddenness that was in a Pereira at a time you fight of all of a sudden like you said he's winning his win in his winning and then all of a sudden he ain't winning. So for this fight he's got good rid of ghost, he's got a keep more balance, not give Pereira the one thing he needs to be set in front of him. We can either catch him going straight back, coming in or standing in front of him. Those three dimensions. Don't give him that. Don't give him where you're coming in. He catch you coming in, he catch you going out into that old saying, I got him confident going. Don't let him catch you, come and go. And don't stand in front of him. Sides, angles, you know, watch one of those old west of movies to have my friend, is he, you know, I know you're like watching movies. A lot of you fight is still a lot of my fighters do before, you know, the days before, keep himself busy, watch more. Watch one of those old westerns, where the Sherman said, we got to get out of Dodge. I want you to add a Dodge by noon, get in and get out of Dodge. That's what you want to do is you get in and get out of Dodge, now I know you want to hit it with something to hurt him to hold him to get his respect. I get it. And you're a fighter. You're a champion. You got the character. You got all that. That's why I ain't been against you because of that character. Even though I just led to most people would say, teddy, you're picking Pereira. You made the perfect analogy, the perfect example with further forest and Moseley that far is just had most of these number. He had his ticket, and stayed that way. And he couldn't beat him. I know I could go that road. And it sounds like I'm going I wrote. But I'm not. I'm not. Maybe it's because I like them because as far as I try not to let those feelings get in the way, keep this all business. You know, like The Godfather, I'm involved. My coach, it's business. It ain't personal. It's business. If anyone can overcome it, I know we know he's got the technique and he's got the physicality. Although he does make mistakes technically box his hands, you know, if you catch him, you can catch him clean because of that. But he's very quick. He's very athletic. He's been a champion. He has got

"To find out if I can win this fight in this particular position. I was going to say the title wasn't for the title. But I'm going to find out right now. And it's a big risk not to find out, to always regret that moment. That's a big risk. That's something that will never go away with. That's a bigger risk than thrown a bunch of at that moment. That's what I would tell the fighter. But not too many people are going to tell a fight of that. If you don't hate me, I will hate you. Sounds good. Sounds good and so it's not good. Do you get out of the locker room? And you're on your way home all alone. And you just said, what if? What if? Yep. Well, one guy that very rarely says what if is Israel out of sun and to that extent, Alex Pereira, those are two guys that let their hands go and leave it all in the cage every time every time, every time you know what you're getting with them, fight to the death. They're now Izzy is now zero and three Alex perea three and O against Israel out of Sanya. They had two kickboxing fights. One was a disputed decision. Alex Pereira knocked Izzy out in the second one. I believe is he was probably winning that second fight. And like I said, the first decision was hotly disputed. And then in their MMA fight at UFC, I don't know what number it was, but we were together at the garden watching that one in the ESPN booth. And I would say that Israel won probably if he got knocked out in the 28th minute. He won 26 or 27 minutes of that fight. And they rematching in this previews brought to brought to you by my bookie, go to my bookie dot AG if you want to bet on any of the fights, use the promo code Atlas for a 50% credit on your first deposit. My book he has lines on all the biggest fights, including the Israel out of Alex perea matchup and will get you a prediction in a minute Tony, but something to think about before we get to it. Is he a slight favorite at minus one 40 to plus one ten for perea, which I think makes sense 'cause like I said, is he's winning that fight for the majority of the fight and he just like you've said many times when you're in there with these kind of guys, you have to be perfect. One little mistake, one little opening and perea turns the lights off. Tell me what you look for what to expect and we'll get the prediction at the end. And I'll give you the over under at the end too for the people at my bookie. We gotta do the deep dive. You gotta do the dive the real driver it ain't just physical and technical. It's this. It's mental. The first thing that I saw at the toughest test for him is he needs exorcism. You know, I love him. He's been on our show. I'm rooting for him. I don't know the other guy, but I'm rooting for him. I'm sure the other kinds of good guys too. But I'm fine. He's special. He's a social athlete. He's a special winner. He's supposed to champion his special person. He is. But you need an exorcism. He's got to get the ghost out of the attic. And they're all ghost in the attic right now. You know, it's not just that he got knocked out in his fight. He got knocked out before that. The average or whatever that was before the UFC. Whatever that fight was, he got beat twice before this. Once I believe a decision and once he got knocked out, I don't know if that was in the amateurs. I don't know if that was in another professional kickboxing. What it was, but it was before the UFC. That's still there. That's in his attic. He's got to get, again, he's got to get those ghosts out of his attic. That's the main thing. He's got the ability, he's got the technique. Now the guy's a big guy he's a good punch. He can't make mistakes. Very similar to the fight plan that we just did. You were there in the gym with me. That we just would take Davis, it's going to be so pretty soon. We're going to be putting it up pretty soon before the tech Davis and Garcia fight. Very similar pipeline. He's got to be Garcia. You know, he's got to control the outside. He can't make mistakes. You know, he's got to keep more balance, always know how dangerous tank Davis is. Same thing. Same thing he's got to keep more balance. He's got to keep pereiro of balance uses mobility. You know, get in, get out, move off to the sides, don't stay in front of him, too long. You know, in the pocket, he's got a, I mean, if he gets in a pocket, I know that it's different time in a guy up, you know, you want to tie a guy up if you don't want to let him be dangerous inside in a ring. So you tie him up. In this case, maybe he goes to, I don't know if he goes to a floor. I know he's not a mess on the floor. But I also know he's got great ability to survive on a mat. That he knows how to he's got good takedown defense. I know he's been he's worked at daddy's very good. But his thing is striking. Speed and psyche, but maybe if they do get close, he ties them up, he gets just to kill a little time then gets back to, again, being Muhammad Ali, the Ryan García controlling the outside keeping a more balanced, not giving him a chance to land that big shot. But the key to do that, again, yeah, I'm going to repeat it because it's worth repeating. Get the ghost out of the freaking attic. There's certain guys that there was a fighting years ago. You remember he was a top champion. I don't know if they account for pound if they did. He would have been one of the best. He beat the lawyer. Shane Mosley, he was a really good fighter. It was a great guy and his son Shane Mosley junior is a world class guy, trains in Santa Monica, was good friends with him when I lived out in LA.

"A guy who's made all this money, right? Who's won the world title? He's going to tell him things that he don't want to hear. That he might get fired for telling him that he might lose his payday for telling him, tell me the guy you're going to find. Point them out because I like to see that guy. That's going to do that. I'd like to see there's not a lot of them out there, Ken. Who's going to do that? That ain't the terrain that knows what to talk about, what to do, what has to be done. Those were the doctor ordered. To fix the patient and B has the guts to tell him when he might lose his freaking job for telling him. As you're talking about that, it reminds me of a quote, and this isn't to imply that Anthony Joshua is mediocre, but sometimes no matter how great you are, you can get into that mediocre mindset. And I think about mediocrity is invisible until passion shows up and exposes it. And one thing that I forgot to mention earlier in the show is one of our biggest fans, a huge fight fan. My friend jelly roll across the street. He won three country music awards last night, and when he got up there on the first one at the microphone, he said, loser win tonight, baby. He's been a drug addict in prison. He's been making music. 30 years as an independent artist, the first year he signs with a label last year, he gets a little label push behind him. He joins the show, show me where you going. And that's a winner. And that's what he was saying is that even more so, that it was in those plays they got to this place. That's a winner. That's what we're talking about. But he said to me last week is like, Ken, you think that I don't know these people wouldn't piss on me if I was on fire for 30 years. Now I have the institution behind me. He goes, you think all these people want to be my friend. They just know that I'm in a position now where I can help them. Now all of a sudden I got all these new friends. So that was his way of saying. They let a loser win. I know you guys thought I was a loser, but here I am. I'm the winner, baby. And it was just so great to see such a good person. I just wish everyone could see how the time was cut out. Come to my foundation, didn't it help us raise money for a lot of underprivileged people and a lot of sick people and a lot of people that fall through the cracks and some people that were dog places like you used to be that we're trying to put the light on for them. Come to our common November, the week before Thanksgiving and help us raise money for those people. Can it be there? That's right. Never miss it. Now jelly is a big private jet guy, maybe we'll fly up there to get on the let's go, Jason. His real name is Jason the Ford, by the way. Congratulations to Jason. When I moved here teddy, we could go anywhere we wanted. A few people would ask for a picture here and there. Now he's selling out Nashville Bridgestone arena. He's winning country music. It's just crazy to see. A little tweak. You're on top of the world, but if you stay with that mediocre mindset and don't keep grinding and believing in yourself, blind faith, a 30 years teddy selling CDs out of the back of his car. He was living in a van like 5 years ago with ten years ago, something like eat this E was on the balls of his ass. Just kept believing in himself and it happened. And it happened. So anyway, congratulations, jelly roll. Congratulations, jelly. And that's great. Listen to finish up this analysis. Yeah. Joshua, one of his flaws, he stands to erect. He looks good. He's got that European English proper look straight up with the thing that goes along with sometimes is you can get him right in. I tweeted that. Franklin should draw right hand to the body, get his attention here. Get the respect that he's going to go there to the body from Joshua. To all right head to the body. And then later on in the fight, later in and around. Bend leg is going to draw to the body can. And instead throw it to that. And her catch charge was standing erect, standing straight. And he might even drop him, because he had never seen a punch. He tried it one time. He tried it one time. And it just missed. But as he would have tried it more, I would have been interested to see if he would have had some success because you could do that with Josh because he does stand erect. He not only landed the right hand as the fight got late, the right uppercut was there for Joshua. And it made sense. It made sense because Franklin's shorter, smaller plan. And he comes in, you know, on a straight line, he leaves a tiny bit, use the upper cut and sure enough to judge who's credit. He went to it. And he landed it, but he didn't use it enough. And again, there was no follow-up. You know, you hit him with a straight right hand up top, follow-up talk. You hit him right up a cut, put a left hook with it. Put something with it. You bring his head up, chop it off with the next punch. You know, but that's what one rounds for. The use of the jab to use the straight right hand and the use of the again, very standard, very I'll get you can say pedestrian, but conventional, but it was enough. It was enough. You know, for him for him to carry the rounds and, you know, to get that win. That vulnerability of

Like you said, it was like, I can't remember going to my first game. And we were in the nosebleeds. I mean, the thought of going and sitting down that close to the game was just, I don't know, it's like magical to me, 'cause I know what I thought about it as a kid. I just didn't have that luxury and to be able to do these things for them is just, it's never lost on me. It makes me forget emotional choke up. Just thinking about it. It's a blessing. It's a blessing. You worked hard to make that blood impossible. Anthony Joshua does what Anthony Joshua does. I hesitate to say boring as hell because I don't like to be critical, but I mean it was just like, I'd rather watch paint dry, I'm sorry. It just was nothing. If I Franklin, like get him out of there. You want to impress and get the next fight like don't come with this like, let me just get through this like the Ruiz fight part two. I'm just going to do what I have to do to win. I get it. You got to win, but man, the house to be, I want to have a reason to watch and tune in right now. I don't have a reason to tune in unless it's like to see maybe fury beat him or wilder beat him again. Wilder to be like, I just, I want to get excited about AJ fights and they always have the same kind of have the same results, just like very robotic, almost. He wins one 17 one 11 on two cards. Houses on fire when they say they will, I'd say the glitch goes, I'd say the Klitschko's were worse. No, no. No, more boring. I gotta defend them a little bit. Not defender, but at least point that out. But I agree with you on that. It was just boring to watch. That's why that heavyweight division during the era was dead. It was two guys playing ches who were better at checkers. Yep. All right. That should go over well with our great British defense. And just for the record, we both like AJ. There's nothing not to like. I just wish he'd bring some fireworks when he's supposed to stop someone, stop him. He's like a gentleman. And that's beautiful. But we're not here to only talk about that part. We're talking about x-rays. X-ray and, you know, the performance in the ring in all aspects of it. And quite frankly, you know, there was some damage maybe done because I try to cover everything. There was some damage done after he got knocked out by end of the week. But like Canelo, he's overrated. And maybe we expect too much, but the fans, you can overrate them because you're fans. You know what I mean? You could drink that lemonade that whatever it is they serve over there in the UK instead of lemonade. Whatever it might be. But that's fine. I get it. I'm with you. But we ain't drinking it. And I'm definitely not drinking because my job is to be analyzed this stuff. And to bring the truth as I know, it doesn't mean it's perfect, but it's the truth as I know this might 50 years of experience tell me. And it's unbiased. It's got nothing to do with anything, but what it's got to do with. What's happening in that squared circle in this particular case. And this is a guy that, you know, they put them up, they put them up on this high pedestal, which happens. But again, who did he beat? He beat Charles Martin to win the heavyweight title. He got dropped by a 42 year old Klitschko. Now look, let's go could still punch like former could still punch. He lacked my guy out, but it was 45. I get it. Like, I just told a lot of heart that it's called fight. He did. He got up off the floor. But he defended his title against guys like Dominique Brazil, who got knocked out and one or two rounds by water. Of course he knocked out Brazil too, but he should have done, of course, you know, Joshua, he got to do it. But then it defended against Eric Molina. Carlos take him. Take him, whatever the take on you take him. I'm not taking it. I mean, whatever. I mean, not exactly, I mean, I don't know. Not exactly or who's who? You know, maybe who is that? Maybe you ask, who is that? Rather than or who's who's list of great heavyweights, but full of that. They put them on as they special the British fans, but and I get it. I get to promote it. He's making money. I understand. But you put them on a not Rushmore. Of great fighters. I mean, start off maybe with a hill, right? I'm

Parts of northern US shut down ahead of winter storm
"Brutal winter weather bringing snow dangerous gusts of wind and bitter cold settled over much of the northern U.S. Wednesday. We'll probably get busy with the blizzard later, you know, just before everybody starts to rush and get their provisions. The storm forecast to dump up to two feet of snow in some areas says national weather service meteorologist Frank Pereira. This will be an extremely disruptive storm to both travel infrastructure livestock and recreation in the affected areas. He says the same storm will bring 6 to 12 inches of snow to parts of northern New England and upstate New York through Thursday. I'm Julie Walker

"Thing. You have to make sure that you have control of the ball all the way down. Is this one thing that they're making slightly more complicated that's like, that's really just a checklist of, let's try to get this as right as possible. It's the only thing in the game that's made slightly more difficult for an offensive player. Well, I'm not worried about the offense. A player I'm worried about the viewer, the fan who's trying to understand this. And that is, is that a catch? Yes. Is that not a catch? Yes. You have control when he had in the field of play. Yes. It's just my Pereira disagreed with the call in devonta Smith. And he's refer friendly, and he's going, they're spending so much time that they were looking like it wasn't obvious. If it's supposed to be obvious, then it should take you seconds. Like, yeah, obviously. It's like, I don't know if I see another. Can I see another? Okay, we're going to reverse it. Never should have been never should have been reversed. There wasn't enough evidence there. Yes, time. I agree with polling as far as once the play, you got both feet in the plays over. Who cares about what's happening out about? Because if you have to somehow complete the catch and they're looking at what happened to out of bounds, then you should be able to complete a tackle out of bounds and not call the late hit out of bounds. We were in the press of tackling someone, then finish them off while he's going out of bounds because it matters about catching the ball while you're out of bounds. Yes. So if you have two feet in and you catch the ball, but you fall out of bounds and drop it. Yeah. That shouldn't count. No, it should. But if you have also, it shouldn't be a catch, though. No, I thought we were saying what happens out of bounds doesn't count. No, it should be a catch. So it should be a catch, but if you're in the middle of the field and you have two feet down and you catch the ball and fall and hit the ground and drop it. Is that also still a catch? No.

Right. But she's not. She does not look like a superb. I mean, I mean, she doesn't look like she looks like she looks like the mob that other moms go, just stay out of her way. Maybe. At the end of her workout, she goes, you've been shaney smashed. And that's always what my wife walks in. Like, really? Like, come on. All right, so then Miguel Pereira, who is a Michelle or Michael, is it Mikel? I think it's Michelle. I think it's a shelf a hat. So he thought pons and EB all right? Another fight where I thought Pereira won. Like I didn't think it was that, but you look at poppy real face, it was the biggest robbery of all time. And I was like, no, he landed the harder punches. I thought he did the most damage. And he was a guy that when he first came to UFC, Don, he was doing backflips, jumping off the cages, like doing all kinds of crazy shit that he was losing. I have to fight. He got into a good camp where they cut out all that bullshit. Like literally not one, it's not as fun to watch him in a little bit because he's not doing crazy, but he's winning. Now he's winning. And he beat it. I made the difference. Yeah, so. Well, virtual. He's the biggest welterweight I've ever seen in my life. Yeah. He is so much bigger than I don't know how he cuts the weight and then blows back up like that. But it isn't even just like he tall. I mean, he's so much taller. He just a giant for the division. And then, and I think what we saw in that scoring was there was an emphasis. I think they scored it more based on impact versus volume because pons and nibia was definitely connecting more. I mean, he was that bad. But then went for Haywood coming to us. Clearly, they were scoring in favor of that power, you know? Because when it was a split, I was not surprised. It was a split decision. Because I always think it was, if they base it just on how many times he connected, you got to go with pumps and if you. But if you go with who was really affecting the other guy, you got to go with the hand. And so I'm just glad it worked out that I had because I want my parf. So that was so then afterwards, right? Uh, so you know you're a longtime finance professional, but you've gotten into start ups over the years. Let's say 15 years himself and currently 60 I d you authenticate users on mobile devices. Tell us a little bit more about this business. So headaches tied does exactly what you say. So we, um we aim to take a large role in the emerging Internet of things. So one of the things about the Internet of things, which is where devices are all connected. So one day you know your car could be connected to your phone to your watch, too. Everything around you and in order for that to succeed the key aspect of security Because now things are getting very personal. It's not even just build credit card any longer. It means access to your home. It's access to your car. It's about personal security, as well as financial security. So you know, being able to manage credentials and to authenticate who's doing what on the Internet of things is going to be extremely critical to the ultimate success. Of Iot and we have the skill set and to be able to do that, And we're pretty far down the road compared with most other companies to be able to provide those services, and it was rooted in three D. Technology, right? Three d identification. That's certainly one of our skill set. So when we started out six years ago, we started as a three dimensional imaging company for identification. And just as we started out, we started to see a lot of fraud going on in the payments industry. And so whereas three D identification is one element or one skill set, we have a number of other skill sets. And so we actually looked at you know what was causing? What were the causes of Ford and it was a loss of stolen wallet. And our first product was an attempt to develop an electronic wallet that was highly secure, and that was our first effort. And gradually, the payments. Industry has evolved pretty quickly after that, and in order to keep up with it, we merged with the company called Fit Pain. And so now we're able to provide tokenized payment transactions just the same as you see, Samson pay or apple pay or android pay. We're able to provide that to all the multiple other non, uh, non Apple Samsung user customers that would like to have that type of technology on their devices. So our major customers government And we're in the process of signing up a number of other ones. So you have a history, though in technology. Did you deliberately choose this technology? Did you have choices or did it just kind of evolved? It was something that surface, maybe over having dinner with a friend, or, you know, how did it come about? Choosing this type of technology. I think that, uh, we always try and create products that for which this market demand rather than creating product because we can technically create product. And so we just saw a huge demand fairly quickly. There are a lot of announcements about very large credit card breaches. And so we saw growing and large demand around security in this payment space, So that's why we directed our technologies that space. What would you say is the most challenging aspect.

Los Angeles County outdoor dining returns with new COVID-19 rules
"Okay, so you'll have to correct me if I'm wrong when I described this, But there was a skit I want to say in the nineties when Alec Baldwin used to guest host all the time. And the skit Woz. He was operating a dirty cake shop. And people would go in and they would try to buy all these various kinds of dirty cakes, and he would suggest a cake with a woman sitting on a toilet. And then the customer would be disgusted and they would leave and then the next one would come in and the sales pitch would be exactly the same. He would lead him in that direction. And every customer that came into the cake shop. Got that same pitch. Do you remember that's get Try to remember that one. I gotta look that one up. Yeah, that's worth checking out on YouTube. That character in that skit kind of reminds me of the L A times is wrong, Lynn because every question that he asked, is, Do you feel vindicated for setting all the restaurants down? He asked it to Barbara. For rare, He asked it to the mayor. In fact, let's listen. Let's listen to him. Ask that question to Barbara Ferrer. Our next question comes from the line of Ron Lynn. Ron, your line is open. Please go ahead. Hi doctors and supervisor Thanks so much for talking with us today really appreciate it. We have questions for you today. Dr Pereira and supervisor on whether you're vindicated in the public health strategy Project room key and when teachers will get vaccines, first doctor further, and Supervisor L. A county received criticism and lawsuits from some restaurant owners on the outdoor dining ban. County data shows that virus transmission rates started dropping around the same time as the outdoor dining ban and the safe ride home order were issued, which occurred a week ahead of the ST Stay at home order. Does the current good news vindicate your efforts to ban outdoor dining and imposing early, safer at home order? Okay. Now, let's get a completely different question. For l. A mayor Eric Garcetti. I'm deeply feel vindicated that you backed the public Health department here because you know, there's a lot of public criticism. You know about this, but In the end, the public health Department was right. That really bad circles coming on. I just want to know what you thought about that. Thank you. You should really work in a dirty cake shop. Joining us to talk about this and much, much more. Is Fox 11th Film Illusion. Bill Welcome. Hey, John. Thanks for having me, man. That's quite a Quite a variety of questions there. Yeah. You know what? Um, I heard the same thing I was listening in on the DPH pressure the other day. When I heard that question asked in my my job kind of hit the floor. I understand. Ron later explained that he was talking about That our number that health officials like to talk about you know how many people get infected by one single person, he says. That number got lower, but I mean, look at any chart after the outdoor dining band went into effect, our numbers shot up like a missile straight up right afterwards. And if you were we remember at the time supervisors Catherine Parker and Janice Hahn They voted against it. They were concerned that hey, if we shut down outdoor dining, where essentially going to be forcing people indoors, going into the fall going into the colder weather? We're worried people are going to congregate indoors more. And you know, people can debate the outdoor dining ban all they want, but the fact is In the months after it. We went into our worst surge ever, and we're still not out of it. Um, so I don't understand why it would be asked of health officials that they feel vindicated for that. Um, it was just bizarre from my perspective. Well in L. A doesn't operate in a vacuum. We have other cities and other states that air doing similar things and one of the reasons that the city of Chicago decided to reopen their bars and restaurants. I believe for not just outdoor, but indoor dining as well. Was because they realize that by shutting all of them down what they did was, they pushed everyone into crowded little apartments or Grandma's kitchen for Christmas or whatever, and that caused their numbers to explode. The same thing happened in Los Angeles. Yeah. And now they're taking another page out of the exact same playbook. They today they're letting outdoor dining reopen with the caveat that TVs have to be turned off s. Oh, So now the idea is, obviously they don't want people gathering at sports bars and restaurants to watch the Super Bowl next weekend, right? So what they haven't learned. What are people going to do now? Okay, so they don't want him watching it outside. They want to take the outdoor option away. What are people gonna do? Instead? They're gonna watch it indoors. They're going to go to private parties at home. They're gonna watch it. It have people over to watch the game. I would think health officials would want people outside in the fresh air at lower capacity. Rather than crammed inside of private homes. Um, but, hey, I'm not a health expert, but it just seems it just seems logical. So, yeah, they're reopening the outdoor dining today, but TV is has to be gone or turned off.

"Manchester United and Chelsea qualify for the Champions League. UNITED WITH A to victory over less than meanwhile Chelsea without win against walls sees all. You're going to show and frank. Lampard side make it into the top four less city, but let's not forget with fifteen points Clare of fifth on New Year's. They dropped the ball completely in twenty twenty and have to make do with Europa League football dodgson staving echo with us, stevie united with win on the season. You one of the harshest critics so all. He's proved you wrong, isn't he? Host you? Listen the. You, you can't see that. Qualifying for the champions. League is not success. For, all the Because as You know ended a day. I think the biggest and the main reason why the option because when transfer marquette. Bought Bruno Fernandes without that piece of business. This this would happen so listen. He always asked to coach the team and he obviously had a hand and say Bruno Fernandes Oh yeah as I said. It's success. I'm not convinced that he can take them from from. Champions League qualifies to actually vying for the title against Liverpool in city I still. The way way off and I still think they have to say more players, but yes, but all they get into the champions lease as a success. But he's had plenty of time. Your United Stat Dome. That now. All you early I mean they close form then they all Liverpool, which is incredible thirty two from Bouma. Thirty three away from Liverpool, and it's not the right time in because I think that the well getting into jump and say those incredible finish I agree with Stevie. Bruno Fernandes doesn't come in. At this, all thing is that. Is Jason for Non Stop the season? Why did they wait until John? Rudy Sunan done I will never ever. No nothing deserves credit ease. That's big name. Players go shifted the dynamic inside the dressing room. He's might young is made them hungrier. There have been assigned to watch is not too many egos at the football club anymore, and you have a job on the summer. Trying to convince big plans like will stay on. And then chartwell tracked maybe three or four plans to try and give him so titled Till Next Season Way to they need to add to the squad don. I was still like say them. With a recognized number nine I get the argument where people think that Mason Green was going to lead the line, and maybe the could bring in some more to plan the rights on side because I'm not convinced marcial. Yet again I think the such a good player net. He's not consistent enough. And Watching Higher Maguire today and Victor Lindelof as a pair. I mean less than without James Madison. Pereira without Soyeoun shoe without some of their very best players, another about that was missing volley at Indiana Joe Coast to center offs problems time after time after time, and this under-strength less decide so I would like to see, and if they all going to try and compete again can get closer to the city. Liverpool in my opinion, need Weltklasse Center

Calling Tennis Remotely, with Ravi Ubha
"Welcome to new challenges remaining. I'm Ben Rothenberg as millions of folks around the world enter their third month of adjusting to working remotely I thought this might be a good time to share the experiences of what it's like to work remotely in tennis when tennis is a sport that sts professionally which doesn't really currently and much of the world feed commentary on the tennis matches you watch at home is delivered from a world away from the courts where the matches are taking place and one of the Veterans of this craft is. Ravi who also works on site at tournaments as a freelance reporter. So foot both the close the distant kind of work in Tennessee. So Ravi will describe here what. It's like working in broadcasting rotely at lifestyle of being distant from the courts and the challenges of creating atmosphere. A place that you're nowhere near so hopefully you will find this interesting. Maybe a little bit resident in these times of distance working that we're all living in and general distance. This interview was recorded near the end of this year's Australian. Open as you'll be able to tell but hopefully it has some some meaning residents or something in our lives. Today here is Ravi. I'm thrilled to be joined on this episode by my friend Robbie who is aware of many different hats in the tennis world. He is this week at the Australian Open. As we record this on my I'll and the pressroom and I'll made of mine as we walked back and forth press conferences and whatever else and share reactions to whatever missed overheads and such happened at once. He's one of those voices in unison gasping and signing and also a voice that I hear actually on the TV and watching at home as a frequent world feed commentator tennis Ravi. Thank you for being here. Ben My pleasure. Thank you for people who maybe more or less with you. Just how did you get into tennis? I in your life. How did you for make the jump into doing it as a career? In my life I grew up in Canada so It surprises me that I actually got into tennis. Because as you know. It's a big hockey country at my earliest memories at home when I was a little kid. Four or five watching the US Open in the background was on TV. Washington handle who? I think. He's my idol. When it comes to sportsman was younger so it started from that Played my whole life. Love playing very regularly and then got into it You know my profession and when I moved to London I was in the early two thousands. I is really a writer and thereafter going into the booth and doing You know share a picture of of commentating and TV work also. So how'd so the writing we've got a lot of show or other writing side of its. I'm more curious about how you make that. Jump how you go from being on the page. What was your first time being behind a microphone? I remember it well. It was a two thousand nine. I was asked to do a Davis Cup tie between Russia and Russia and Romania And so I did that s skew. Kinda thing. Yeah it was actually victor. S Q in McCall usually my first match. Oh I remember well and I think it was because they were looking for people who who just new tennis and covered tennis and as somebody who grew up broadcasting also. I was reported in Montreal where I grew up doing TV. I think they knew that. And they just stick. Okay let's Let's bring him in on something I wanted to do. So it really started from my point. According I've done a lot of tennis radio. Color Commentary. Saddam that different from doing TV. But I'm curious what as you got more into? Tv having been a writer having been a reporter. What skills are translated into what once? Don't translate what he to learn on that new in this new role well it For example the attention to detail that you have in imprinted writing. I think that's very helpful when it comes to being in the booth you know when digging up statistics knowing where to look and knowing how to get them to look for the inside stuff rather than just the basic statistics. I saw you antennas abstract on your computer just nine. Yeah for sure a great website. That's that's something that I bring with me. On the print side things that are different You know you know went to jump jump in and out to in went to Q. Out I'd also just broadcasting is a different is a different also voice. Really when you're as to when you're talking somebody like as we're chatting but now it's it's a different voice you put on. You also have to learn. Went to kind of hit your spots when it comes to nailing down for example phrases after a particular matches. Done you WanNa with a big extra It's not exactly the lead on when it's so important for peace pace but it's kind of the big finish in broadcasting so that there are little things like that they're different is that. I think you become more accustomed to as you do more shoe and actually imprint. They really don't emphasize most editors or papers or publications don emphasize ending so much. Onto a real sign off they most articles fade out or some editors sort of cut from the bottom which is frustrating when that happens because the idea try to put endings on Surrey generally. Bs that when did. When did it become a more full-time thing for you? And how did sort of adding work in that particular line? Is it same as other freelance work or is it different? Yeah no it's pretty much since the I would say two thousand thirteen fourteen and I I would say it's become more of doing that Rather than writing than before it was kind of opposite. He's been more of the writing than the broadcast. I always say since two thousand and thirteen and fourteen. I've lucky enough to to do a lot and it's something I love doing. I mean I sat on the air sometimes tournaments that you know. It's such an honor privileged to be doing it because as a tennis fan my whole life you know. Don't consider it a job. I'm very lucky doing something I really really love. And that's all really can ask for you. Mentioned sort of how the attention to detail in the writing can help the TV. Tv helped the writing effort to go the other direction too. Well helps in the sense that I get to watch a lot of tennis I believe and so I think I have a pretty good grasp of the players so it helps to foster ideas because you know for example. I'll give you an example I was watching an accommodated a master on the Brazilian player. A couple of years ago Eliane Pereira And I was digging up homework doing research for her master when she was playing at home. And I just read Interesting stuff about her. How she grew up in really extreme poverty you know. She didn't have a bathroom in her house. She had her bathroom in kind of the back garden. And so I thought well that'd be nice idea to do a longer feature a long story on inside that Saranda presumably written for the time. Remember that So it does help I mean and I think Ben as you know the more you homework you do on any subject on any play you realize that every player has a great story or has a story to tell I think that's the lesson that I learned. I try to bring them in the booth especially at times when a match is getting out of hand when it's not it's not as dramatic in oak at six one five two or six one three love. Matt out of Control. I think you want to sprinkle in those nuggets Talk about other stuff rather than you know the rallies techniques stuff.

Introducing SUPERNATURAL WITH ASHLEY FLOWERS
"By the time police got the call about the bodies Invitation Hill. It was already starting to get dark. The Hill is surrounded by thick forest and brush so for everyone's safety. They decided to hold off until morning. Of course the press didn't take the same precautions when officers finally did arrive on the morning of August. Twenty first nineteen sixty six vin. Tame Hill was already swarming with reporters. The even snapped a few photos before the bodies were carried away unfortunately all the original sources are in Portuguese and more than fifty years later. It's hard to track them all down but some of them were summarized in English in the flying saucer review which despite the name was fairly credible journal in the sixties based on those articles. Here's what we know about. The police investigation. The only easy part of this case was identifying the victims thirty two year old men. Well Pereira de Cruz and thirty four year old. Miguel Giuseppe Viana. Both men were electronics. Technicians from the town called compost dose. Go to causes. Which is about one hundred and seventy five miles northeast of Rio de Janeiro. Both of them were happily married. Well respected in the community and led pretty normal. Unassuming lives according to their families. Miguel and Manuel had left town. On the morning of Wednesday August Seventeenth nineteen sixty six three days before their bodies were found. They said they were heading to Sao Paulo to buy some electronics equipment. Along with a used car. They've been looking at. They took some money with them somewhere. Between two and three million Cruzeiros the conversion rate is a little hard to calculate. But that's somewhere worth like a few thousand. Us dollars today at about nine am. Miguel and Manuel headed out to the bus station accompanied by a friend named L. CEO Gomez. Elsa wanted to go into the bus station. See them off but the other two men insisted that he just drop them off outside. Elsia didn't understand what the big deal was but he didn't think too much of it. He watched Miguel men walk into the bus depot and then he went back home. That was the last time he ever saw his two friends alive now. Even with the minimal evidence police had at this point. There were a few things about this story. That didn't add up. When the bodies were found the only had a combined one hundred sixty one thousand Cruzeiro on them. The rest of the two three million is unaccounted for still to this day. And of course they didn't go to Sao Paulo like they told everyone else. They went to a town called NITA. Roy which is a suburb of Rio de Janeiro. Which is a good couple hundred miles away. The investigators went back to Nita. Roy Hoping to find some answers there but once they piece together the rest of August seventeenth nineteen sixty six. All they had were more questions. Miguel and men wells bus would have arrived in Nita Roy at around two or two thirty that afternoon their first stop was an electronic store. They'd been to that store before so we can assume it carried some kind of equipment that wasn't sold in their own town but for some reason they left the store without buying anything and they didn't even talk to the sales clerk there now. Maybe the store was out of whatever they were looking for. But the taken a five hour bus ride to get there. Why on Earth wouldn't they at least check with the clerk? Before leaving either way after they lead the electronic store it starts to rain so they stop into a clothing store nearby and buy a pair of matching raincoats again. This doesn't raise any red flags on its own. But what is weird? The clerk said that they left in such a rush that they didn't even bother to put on the coats before running out into the rain. The coach that they just bought now. You might assume that the big appointment that they were rushing to was with the owner of that used car that they were looking to buy. But you'd be wrong. They didn't buy any car during the trip so if they weren't buying electronics and they weren't buying a car. What were they doing there? Oddly the next time may surface is at a bar in the same neighborhood as the clothing store and when they get to the bar. They're still very anxious about the time. Miguel goes to the counter and orders a bottle of mineral water according to the bartender. He's acting very like nervous and impatient and while he's ordering he keeps glancing over at the clock after paying for the water. Miguel keeps the receipt and this might not seem like a big clue but Brazil has a recycling policy where you could return empty bottles for a deposit. So whatever or whoever they're waiting for. Miguel assumes won't take too long and he'll have time to return the bottle before heading home that evening no one saw Miguel. Well leave the bar so we don't know if they met someone there or they left alone but at five PM. They're seen at the foot of ENTAME Hill. Which is just outside town. They pull up in a jeep driven by someone with blonde hair. There were two other men in the car as well but the witness couldn't see them clearly. Whoever these three men were they were the last people to see Miguel and well alive. So by this point police had mapped out all of their movements from leaving home in the morning to arriving at the hill that night but none of it offered any clues about what actually happened next. We already mentioned a few the strange details at the scene of the deaths. But if we take a closer look it's even more baffling. Let's start off with what they didn't have the money that they brought with them. The most obvious possibility is that this was a robbery gone wrong but staging a scene like this would have taken a lot of time and effort for not a ton of money and they also left some behind also. There were no injuries on either of the bodies. No CUTS NO BRUISES. No Burns no sign of violence at all. When the corner didn't autopsy there were no internal damages either and strangely. Despite sitting out in the open for three days on a hill that's swarming with wildlife. The bodies were totally untouched by animals. No one can really say what that means but it kind of seems like there was something unnatural about the death if even the vultures didn't WanNa touch them if this wasn't a murder the next possibility was suicide but this theory sort of falls apart too because Miguel still had the empty water bottle and the receipt. If he knew he was going to die. Why go through the trouble of saving that receipt beyond that police find three pages of handwritten notes? That definitely didn't suggest a suicide pact. The first page has a a list of electronics parts. Numbers along with some Algebra work. The equation uses Ohm's law which is E. equals. I are which is used to calculate the strength of an electrical current now. The two men were electronics technicians. After all so everyone assumes these are just notes for a work project now. The next page though is more of an enigma translated from Portuguese. It says quote Sunday one tablet after the meal. Monday one tablet in the morning on an empty stomach. Tuesday one tablet after the meal Wednesday one tablet before bedtime and quote. Obviously this is talking about some kind of prescription. But as far as anyone knows neither Miguel or amend well were sick now. The last dose that Wednesday before bedtime dose would have been taken right before they died but due to decomposition the corner couldn't get useful out of the toxicology report so we still don't know what was in those mysterious tablets and this was a little hard for me to understand because just a second ago I know. He said the bodies kind of untouched by wildlife. I expected them to be in. Good condition. But whatever's going on at the time they either didn't have the technology they didn't have the time and they weren't able to test for it so finally. The third page has another set of instructions. This one said quote sixteen thirty be at the determined location. Eighteen thirty swallow capsules after the effect protect metals week for mask signal end quote. Now the confusion isn't a translation issue. It doesn't make any sense in Portuguese either. It almost seems like the note was kind of scribbled down quickly in some kind of shorthand which probably means someone gave the instructions verbally and someone else wrote them down putting it all together. We can at least gathered that Miguel Aiman. Well weren't the victims of some kind of random attack. They came to the hill for a reason. And that brings us to our last piece of evidence. The lead masks themselves now. You're probably picturing a full mask. That covers your entire face. Almost like what welders wear but these were about the size and shape of sunglasses made out of solid lead. They were apparently homemade and cut. Roughly FROM SCRAP METAL. Lead blocks radiation. So it's often used as a coating protective goggles and facials but these masks were too small to offer any real protection and since they were solid metal. It'd be impossible to see or do anything while wearing them so at first police had no idea what to make of these masks but after some digging it turned out that this wasn't an isolated incident according to flying saucer review. There was another case four years earlier. Where another electronics technician had been found dead on a hill with a lead mask in that previous case the police determined that the man went up to the hill and took some kind of drugs because he was convinced it would allow him to pick up radio and TV signals with his
