Going From Homeless To Hired

"Williams. Last. You've. Had Fallen on hard times and was now living in her car and she would park it. Outside of a kroger back in the parking lot far back in the parking lot in our state here of Tennessee this is a national story now in people magazine. This is her quote. She said I would lean my seat all the way back. So no one would see me because you know I knew I wasn't supposed to be there. But she eventually cross paths with the Kroger hiring manager a lady by the name Jackie Vandal who gave her a heads up about an upcoming, job? Fair. After Williams was repeatedly asking her if the store was hiring. So there's the first she is on really Really thin ice in that she's sleeping in the parking lot and if they figure out that she sleeping in the parking lot, they're going to kick around parking lot. So she's Kinda got that risk factor going on and she's on hard times big time and yet she keeps showing up she keeps going hey, are you hiring are hiring? Are you hiring at the lowest point of her life her desire even though that she's really really doubt her desire to climb out is so strong she risks getting found out so. This is the quote from Jackie Vandal. She says, you get a feel of someone sincere or if they're just trying to get a job to say they got one and then quit a month later I could tell she was very sincere. It was a gut feeling. So. vandal tells Williams to submit our application online. Williams retrieves an old laptop from car and spins out filling out the application with vandals help as soon as she submitted at Vandal hire on the spot. I love that story because the hiring manager decides to help her out. Not. Just given the job by saying you've gotta fill this thing out she sits in the car with her helps are filled this application out. and. Once she goes through the final step of hitting submit. She hires her why she wanted to see her go through the whole process. There's some wonderful wonderful teacher if you're going to help somebody. That really needs it. I really believe there's something to making them do some things. To prove to you and to them that they are willing to do what it takes and this lady Shiva Williams was and she'd been dealing with a lot of abuse physical abuse mental and. Verbal abuse. And she's been at the store. This is at the end of two, thousand and nineteen. She's been at the store the entire year of twenty twenty and has made the most of this opportunity. She saved up enough money to get her own apartment and then her workers came together to help her furnish it. Oh, my goodness that feels good. What's the, takeaway. The takeaway I think is twofold number one. If you're really down doesn't matter if you're in the situation that this fabulous lady was in. But you're just really down. Your desire to get out of that is what's going to fuel the climb. Secondly, if you come across someone who's really really down and you can see they've got a genuine desire. To climb out, you owe it to them. The SNOT, an accident you owe it to them. To reach. down. Let them, take your arms, your hands, and help him come out. They gotTA put some effort into it. Yes. But you owe it to him. So what a story listen to Williams I'd love to meet her. Because I think that is an inspiring story and also the hiring manager Jackie vandal. Love to meet her.

"Bye Bye Bye. Bye. Bye. Thiss was a big deal in the same. It was good. Good. Good. Good. Okay, so well, this, um You know, little story? Actually, I first Ah, that I was like, Oh, my gosh. I don't even know that Lady Gaga was having a burger because I don't know if you saw Sunday morning this week, didn't but he's been in out there, but she has a new book that's coming out and I thought, Oh my gosh, You better send this book to Ellen, and she better get on Ellen because it's a book. It's AH book. It's She asked young people to write their stories about being kind. Oh, glory and put it in a book. And since sorry Laurie wants for the male into Ellen. Yeah, by the one to say the Allens people might wanna book her whatever. Because Allen's apology yesterday on the air Maybe six. Got the phone numbers in the names from the BUZZFEED article of all the employees who don't they don't give a rat's what they hated everything about what she said yesterday they felt very dismissed and The biggest thing was the thing we talked about. Here's a tip for you. America if you don't want to be stuck with bad moniker. Don't call yourself the kind lady. I mean, it was just so what was me and it didn't go over well with former in place, but the new one point because it is simply that was the whole reason Why so why don't you just admit that you were everything about it? People were like, Oh, she's Like wants us to feel sorry for her because she Branded herself a kind person, Alice goodness of their heart because somebody took their life. Remember, That's how she explained it yesterday. Well, I started out being kind because I was trying to help with the suicide. And then now I'm stuck with this. Kindness, rap and cheese. You can't imagine what a burden it is making $80.80 $80 million a year and having people actually think you're nice when all you want is them not to look you in the eye, right? Can I can boss of 270. People make that demand and not be thought A bitch. I mean, really, as so people Her former employees. They just said Blah, and I did see all the morning shows discuss it. And the the one guy Larry Hackett, who used to be the I think People magazine longtime editor. He was just like You, he said. It felt too obligatory. There wasn't enough meat, the apology. We'll see what happens with the ratings, you know, because that's what that's what it's all about That sort of thing. A lot of competition, you know, because you're the queen of the talkshow host. You rise. There's so much and I have to say the Drew Barrymore is settling down. I'm not so anxious about her enthusiasm anymore. I mean, I was quite jumpy The first few days I watched. Oh, I didn't even bother. Ah, Holly, you never see it. And that joke thing, the very thing that makes her great on the couch as a guest. Yes, was kind of the thing that was a nerve ng for a whole hour. I saw the supercut of her talking her news desk Now that that's actually kinda cute. The montage news. Yeah, she just needs to Roshini has out she can lean her elbows on the table and you kind of feel like you're having coffee with her. I'm actually soothed by that. It's when she He does some of her other anyway. But she's settling down and I mean, she is really getting all of her. I mean, she all the friends air coming out for her and for her, you know? I feel like there's more of a level of friendship, then like maybe the guests that, like See, Ellen is getting where she's calling, like I noticed Allen's having all comedians on this week. You know, because because they came to her also of defense that some of their people so anyway, but like, you know, she told Pierce Hilton. Hey, I got put And I get sent away to one of these schools. My mom sent me to. Oh, really? One of these really hardcore disciplinarian schools, but see, the thing that they do is they charge a lot of money. So it's like for rich, horrible kids, and the parents just want to get rid of them. They're drinking. They have their own money. Whatever. So it's kind of like A boarding school. It's a boarding school for rich, privileged kiss. Yes, And so there's even a shame in that insane. Hey, it's bad stuff because it's just like because then people think. Well, why are you being a Bad rich kid. Isn't it easy to be, you know, a sure sure. The angst of teenage life is very real Inventor. Yes, hormones. Everyone has everybody. Here's Lady Gaga and her mom. They've just Ah teamed up to teach kids and Ellen about kindness in a new book called Channeled Kindness. Be kind to yourself. We don't have to focus on what's wrong with us. When we can choose to embrace what's right with us. This book is about the power of That kindness to tell your own story to inspire someone to help them feel less alone. Channel kindness is filled with entries by young activists. When you give them a platform, you will see them rise up and the incredibly strong and share their brilliance Goggles co author her own mother, Cynthia, German, Nada. Together. They're hoping the book helps create a cultural shift. One making kindness. Cool. That's right. We're hashing it out with journalist and author George Johnson to find out if the shave room is good or bad for the blacks. We all know the shade room is where you go for top tier celebrity mess you being there lurking look I have learned from time to time but I think we can all agree that not all mess is goodness and the room plays great area a little too willingly at times trust me you're not the only one who feels that way and that's why today we're bringing the shade roll into the light is the shade room good for the Blacks GonNa find out this is the not. In a world filled with Daesh ously bountiful boss of headlines and videos that screen world saw the shave room has taken instagram by storm in two thousand fourteen Joachim. Wanda start at the shade room after realizing she can use her love for celebrity gossip to practice her writing. But after hating ten thousand followers you want to realize she was on something. Today, the Shade Room has over twenty million followers on instagram and features regular commentary from celebrities like the descent Nicki. menaj and Ti that last part is what makes the Shade Room truly unique outside of twitter it's pretty rare for celebrities and everyday people to have so many interactions with those blurred lines are also what makes the Shade Room? So controversial whether it's making Ziya, Wade owner of harmful comments or the legal back and forth with Cardi B. When it comes to boundaries, things can get ugly. So today we brought on journalist and author George. M Johnson to help us figure out if the Shane Room is good or bad for the culture. Thank you me. I'm excited. You know the showroom has built an empire. Moving celebrity gossip here's what's your take on the importance of celebrity gossip. Gossip. It kind of is what keeps your career going on social media wise. As media has shifted from red carpets to kind of step of house, you can kind of create your own `Paparazzi. Kylie Jenner. Day. The. Whole Light Brown skinned girl only. Even though it was big, it kept her name out there viability for twenty hours on. Sale somewhere absolutely down, I think that celebrity gossip in general is fun I. Think it just gives me something to think about. Everyday life especially, these days I'm like recently has gotten dark I will say. The thing that? Has To be say. For the most part, it can be fun. I think that there is a difference between having good fun and that exposing like the more vulnerable aspects of somebody's life four laps, all that being said, what's actually start our. Conversation today with the pros. So you our guest you welcome to start off with the pros at Oh i. Froze are that the platform very very large and When they are used for good, can generate a lot of money especially to light nonprofit organizations are community based organizations and especially small businesses. I think a lot times sites will amplify. Small black businesses or business owners were creating things and it literally opens you up to people to support your products i. think in ways when you utilize your platform to uplift. And encourage and support resources in things that are out there for black folks I think that's something that more of. These types of sites can start to do. Now that's the point I do wonder what percentage like if you actually did, what percentage of share on posts are act I kind of lean towards the lifted Maybe one out of every fifteen. Twenty. That's something I. Think if I'm considering what my pro is I think the showroom actually does what I consider a pretty exceptional jobs documenting how black people use the Internet, black folks have. In DEX on social media, you know we are on twitter. So much is referred to as black twitter. This thing that all kind of white corporate executives are trying to figure out and the share room kind of will break down those pieces before black people like I think about the the not obeying video that came out recently. Day aware she. Fucking Bang. Not A. wakeup talking about not obeying and I'm like what is going on and I knew that I can go to the shave room and it will break down who made it why popular all the means they had developed all around it and I think that actually can be a big service like I don't know of too many other places that are talking about. The way. Black people use the Internet and social media like the share room us. Come along with a whole lot of other stuff. Absolute. Auto. I think that this shade room is a reliable platform for black celebrity. A celebrity period is is celebrity gossip every single celebrity whether they want to admit it or not they benefit from the celebrity height machine and that gossip like gossip mechanism the shade room does is provide back black celebrities who are frequently shut out of your us. Weekly's people magazine's it's a place. Where you know a black celebrity knows that somebody is GonNa care who they are what they're doing whether they are selling Tommy T or in the case of the simone dry like usually I like to keep some of the scams but I can be some old was I can go on the find out but also Michelle Obama gives a speech at the Democratic National Convention. Even if I missed it. Yeah NPR. Have NBC. SHAVER. Remarks on that to the thirty years from now we look back. The Oscars, the grammys, the emmys, the institutions that don't frequently reward black talent. We might look back did not see an accurate reflection of what was happening in the culture, our culture at the time American culture at the time. But this Shade Room Shave is GonNa Habit accurate count black people the culture and shaver actually documents a wide variety of black people and I think that's a good thing. Archive of like everything going on black. That's a good point. It's an interesting slice. All right child that is off for the pros and for what it's worth I think we made some compelling points in the next episode clubs come off. It's wind twitter fingers burnt a trigger finger. Run the house like a tomb raider. Okay. Maybe not but tune into part time for our final verdict is the shade Rupe good or bad were the blacks. Yesterday we discussed the instagram paint you hate to love the shape author George M Johnson joined us to discuss all the pros and the platform like now it's time for the cons and our final verdict is the shabery good for the blacks Georgia's back again to help us decide skin real up here this. Duchess Meghan Releases Statement Supporting Friends After British Tabloid’s “Vicious" Attempt to Expose Them

"Week. We also saw the Duchess of Sussex released a statement supporting five of her close friends. Friends after the Mayland Sundays, in her words, vicious attempts to expose them. It was an eye witness statements legal document that was filed at the High Court here in London, on July ninth have a copy of it here where the Duchess accuses the Mail on Sunday of trying to create a circus with a friends real lives now these of course are the five friends gave interviews to people magazine in early twenty nine teen in her defense after a barrage, all particularly unpleasant commentary and obstacles in says an areas of the precision press. Megan says an has said already in this case in previous statements that she had no idea that the article was happening until it actually hit newsstands. But the mail, on Sunday, half these five friends names because they have been entered into. The case confidentially by the Duchess of Sussex's is legal team by request of associated newspapers. The argument here of course is the man on Sunday saying that they should be in the public domain, and the Duchess of Sussex's legal team is saying that these are private citizens. Young mums who do not need to be part of this circus. The paper is clearly trying to create. Making writes in the statement. She accuses the publisher of trying to expose the friends in the public domain for no reason other than Click Bates and commercial gain. She goes on to warn that the action is vicious poses a threat to their emotional and mental wellbeing. Of course it will be some time before this actually goes to trial among Cadogan that releasing the name so early in the process when they could potentially act as witnesses important witnesses. In this case, is not going to do any help for either party. But of course, the argument from the Sussex side is that the male really just want to create headlines? Ounce of this other than at sort of do this for any benefits of the case for either side. Megan's already repeatedly stated and ego responses to the publisher. They're being three. That, she knew nothing. If these five friends is cooperation with people, magazine, and effectively, it doesn't affect the grounds of which cases based on which is copyright infringement, an invasion of privacy Megan goes on to say these five women not on trial, nor am I the publisher. If the Mail on Sundays, the one on trial it is the publisher that acting unlawfully, and is attempting to evade accountability to create a circus and distract from the point of this case that the Mail on Sunday unlawfully published my private latter. It's. Very powerful statement I think what's been really interesting about this case is the clearly. The Duchess is not afraid to hide anything. We've actually learned a lot of private information In case it must be quite difficult to sort of be going through these issues with her father again so publicly, and there is no doubt about it that when this does go to trial, it will be a circus whether people want to avoid. That's unfortunately. That is the sort of what we're building up to here. But you know I've spoken to sources close to the Duchess and their legal team, and they're clearly very confident in the purchase. They're taking to this and you know they. They believe they're standing on a very good case a moment as I said earlier. The Mail on Sunday does deny wanting to actually print the names of the five friends, tellingly in their statement that was obtained by C. News. It says to set the record straight and Maryland. Sunday had absolutely no intention of publishing the identities of the five friends this weekend. quite telling that it really specifies this week and. It goes on to say you know this is why. We told the Duchess's lawyer last week that the question of that confidentiality should be properly considered by the courts. Sources actually told me that it was Megan's lawyers doubt sent that they will put on notice by the Mail on Sunday's lawyers, just on Mondays. This is just a few days. Before Megan's witness statement at basically telling them that the males confidential filings should be properly reportable by the media. That's their words. They warned that if Megan's legal team did not apply to the core by July, the ninth, then they would simply assumed the names of the women were no longer confidential, so this situations actually quite contradictory to the statement released by then, and it gives an glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes in a case like this, we all sort of in somewhat unprecedented Tarik trae. with a case against the tabloid by member, the Royal Family because. Sifi! We haven't even gone to trial yet. And it's already unveiled quite a lot, and will no doubt be a difficult situation for the Sussex is to go through. They've. Already well into the next chapter. And this will of course be a heavy burden of for them to deal with a as it. Looks to continue for some months CONSI. See this going to trial until. We talked about Morgan, have you? Know. Haven't. So if you don't know there's an interesting thing that if you go do an somewhere and you have to go number to. Dig a hole. Beriot and then carry all the toilet paper out in like a plastic bag, so it's not just like finding a place gross thing. That's not how I would personally want to spend my baby moon. I want my baby moon to be like on a beach with like sixteen people tending to me. Digging your whole for you. Yeah, okay, we're making news. You is Leo or could finally possibly may be ready to get married if you believe people magazine's. They he's gotten serious from his main Goral Camilla marrone. What do you guys think you think he's ever going to settle down? Who Cares who cares? He's dating models. He might do that to at least seventy. Is Fine like whether he said who if he settles down or not, he doesn't have to. That's for damn sure. He definitely does not have to, but it is nice to see him with Camilla I do feel he's been satisfied with her for a lot longer than he has the other girls, so it's going to be one of those question that's asked for the rest of time regardless of people. Give you know I'd give it just as I am getting to that age where I started to wonder like all right should I start trying to settle down at all like if I want you know I. Don't know like my parents I. Think my mom's like you should big one and I see Leo and I go, maybe I don't have to. Maybe I could just win an Oscar waypoint now. Leo Honey

How Balanced is Your Reading Diet? - Thoughts from Kevin

"Reach your potential as a leader and a human being. Welcome to remarkable TV today. I'm asking a question. How balanced is you're reading diet? Are you ready well? Let's go all right. We all know that we need a balanced diet right. We should have. We should eat the right kinds of stuff to have a balanced diet. Because we know that what you put in impact your health right but but have you ever thought about your reading diet because what you put in impacts your thinking and your skills so let's just think about this for a second like I don't need to go into the whole dietary minimum requirements. And all that stuff you know that what we read and what we put into our brain as like the protein the vitamins and minerals that our brains need so the question is are we putting the right inputs in right so I want to ask you some questions about this and get you thinking about it because just like we know that we should eat right. I think we should read right to okay. So here are some questions about your inputs question. Number one is. What is on your stack like you have a stack of stuff digital stack of audio? Excuse me of the audio things you want to listen to and the podcast and all that stuff but you also have a stack of the blog posts that you need to read or want to read it but you've gotta stack of magazines books to write like first of all if you don't have stack that's a possible problem. Just look at your stack. How much do you have because just like your pantry has a bunch of stuff? You want to have some things so you can pick. Maybe what you want right now. What's GonNa taste good right now? Right second question is do you have a stack and if you don't have a stack. I'm suggesting you OUGHTA start having one now. Yours don't have to be as unruly unnecessarily as large and messy as mine but you need to have a stack now. Once you've got your stack. The question is how balanced is it? Like if everything on your stack is sort of the national enquirer and People magazine and tmz. Type stuff. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that but like that's not a very balanced stack. The question is if you look at that stack. Is it going to be a healthful reading night? That's the question right now. Not just about what's on the stack because you could be saying the reason it's on the Stack Kevin's because I haven't read it right. So the next question is what have you read in the last week? And if you can't answer that question for you for me readily then one of two things is going on. You haven't read much or it didn't have much impact right now. If you read a lot like I do. You might not be able to come up with all of it feels able. I read some things on this and there is some things on this and to read some things on this like I can certainly tell you what I read last night because it was last night right. I shouldn't have too much trouble remembering that right. So what have you read in the last week? And if you can't really answer that question thing about how much you're reading it isn't enough but also WANNA start keeping a bit of a list right last

Bonus Episode: Hairstylist Chris McMillan

"You are. You're a businessman your salon owner. But you're also you know it's ten so corny saying this celebrity hairstylist. I feel like I'm reading. You Know People magazine boldface Celebrity Hairstyles hairstylists to the stars Chris. Mcmillan you are the rare hairstylist. Who is a hybrid of all of these things I mean how did you plan to become like a salon owner? Did you plan to do celebrities hair like did you? What was your end goal? My plan was to do five people's hair a day and charge them hundred dollars each so I would make five hundred dollars a week. I would make two thousand dollars a month and so then I would rent an apartment for a thousand to twelve hundred dollars a month. I would get a car that I think I was looking at like Volkswagen's or something that was like two fifty a month so that's how I thought about it that way. I was able to do what I do like. I always kept that SORTA That's how my brain I'm a real believe it or not. I'm a real simple thing. And it just snowballed from there of that happen. You don't charge your hundred bucks for haircut anymore you know. I was given opportunities to prove myself and I've always taken advantage of those opportunities. I truly from the bottom of my heart was meant to do hair. I really was. Who's hair have you been doing that like the longest like who is the first person that got this one hundred dollar haircut my mall okay? My mom always had bleached blond hair. Fair Faucet like my mom always had kool hair always. That was her thing. Gio is a great hair. She loved her hair stylist. Nick she always had great hair. She was pregnant with me. And that's the first hair salon. I went that I worked at was Nicole's in Manhattan beach on Tenth Manhattan Avenue when I graduated high school like the day the next day. I worked there because I had my licence. Oh wow you were like in it to win it yeah I. My mom was like you doing here. I'm like but they're gay and she's like yeah. You're my gay son. I've known since you were too. It's okay you'll be fine while okay that you told me I remember you said. You have some client. I want to say her name is barb. Bonnie Greider Oh Bonnie Bonnie Bonnie writer lives. It's so funny. Her daughter texted me yesterday. As I as everything. Okay I was like. How's your mom and is a body? Greider is a third grade teacher in San Pedro and she has a standing appointment with me since eighteen years old. Every my gosh. She gets her haircut and I still charge her. I basically doer for free. I talked to her sixty sixty five dollars for a haircut and she tip speed thirty five. Oh my God and she comes here salon she could come to my salon and even Gen does like Shaquille. Can you come to my house on Friday at four to blow dry my hair? I'm Bonnie Jennifer Aniston knows about Bonnie generators and knows about bunnies is aggregate. Do Bonnie and then come over this camp. Would I got mega celebrity? Jennifer come to your salon just like a regular person. You always go to her all the time. She loves it so like she might. She might be behind. Bonnie like waiting to check out no she took check. I set my soul on as an old nineteen thirties bungalow house. So it's very private anyway. So it's very easy and comfortable for people like Jennifer to come and get their hair done and I am kind to like in the center so she knows everybody that works with me. Everybody knows I do her hair. So it's not like nobody's bothering her and everyone does that. I'll kill them if they do that. Like all ends. I got a sharpie asking for an autograph. Nobody is the you know every now and then you'll see like someone walked by like. Oh I'm just checking my messages in l. But I'll I'll check them. I'll be like excuse me and they're like sorry. I'm sorry. Sorry the phone away. Have you really done that have you? Have you really checked somewhat? Of course that's how he stays in the bids right this long. I have to think though Bonnie's been around since you were eighteen age. You okay there. You go do some math people. But that means you've seen her through a lot of trends and styles your other clients regret any of the like styles or cuts you've given anyone in the past not really. I've always gravitated. I think I think I have. I'm not like trying to prove myself and do something crazy and be the most creative. I really truly do want people to look the best that they can look but I also do love change like Linda Evangelista when she had long hair and she went short la that change. She looked just as good. You know and I watched you know Madonna Gino and her changes in and people like that like I always been influenced by change. I remember ruined. My mom had long. You know she had like Pamela Anderson Farah Fawcett hair and she came. Back with highlighted. Low Lighted Cheryl teague hair And then and then from that she you know like in the eighties. She cut her hair short and it was sort of like the Lori L. Freehold Moose campaign like my mom came back as Rachel Ward. You're no character and so I've seen really beautiful changes like. That's the kind of change as I like to see. I'm not trying to like be dramatic in and prove myself through hair but I like to change people's hair like my own that has like feathered hair. And then you give them a Bob that was you know a really Nice Change. You just mentioned yes. You're you're not really working in the salon but you're you had been working on the morning. Show the hairs like good but not great. I'm not being rude. I'm saying it looks like a real news anchor. Yeah well that's what was then purposeful. We did that as we you know. We wanted her to be wanted. Alex Levy to be relatable. Almost you know I mean. It's a moment if you the Steve Corrales character can't even think of his day. Right that's lug it's just got fired and she's unraveling yes is stressed and Jews touching her hair a lot and it's all do for

Why Do We Sing in the Shower?

"I think we can all admit that we've pulled a Paris bueller once or twice while lathered up in the shower. Everyone sometimes grabs a handy bottle of shampoo was an Improv. Microphone and busts out a tune or two. There's just something completely satisfying about singing in the shower even celebrities do it. According to People magazine after Jack Black likes to belt out led Zeppelin and Wycliffe. Sean digs a little bruce springsteen everyone's a rockstar in the bathroom whether you have a voice like aretha Franklin or couldn't carry a melody if it had a handle but have you ever wondered about this phenomenon. Some of US wouldn't see in public if someone paid us. We'll sing in the shower without embarrassment. Believe it or not there is a scientific explanation behind our soapy. Musical stylings first. Let's look at why we're relaxed enough in the shower to bust into song. I think about it. You don't sing when you're sad unless you're singing the blues. Maybe for many people shower times the only time they're alone all day. You're in a warm small safe environment. You're comfortable enough to be in the buff stress literally washes off of you when you relax your brain releases dopamine which can give your creative juices a jump start. Warm waters rushing over you and now you're relaxed and feeling good. It turns out that singing makes you feel even better singing because of the breathing that you put into. It gets more oxygen to the blood. This gives you better circulation. Which in turn improves your body and mood. And because you have to breathe a little deeper to belt out a song you get some of the same relaxation and mind clearing benefits as meditation. Another neat thing. Is that when you're singing? You can't really think about your problems. More stress relief. But the best thing about sending in the shower the acoustics. You couldn't ask for a better sound system than a bathroom because bathroom tiles. Don't absorb sound. Your Voice bounces back and forth around the room before fading away and because the shower is a small space it boosts your voice and even adds a little base making your singing sound more powerful sound bouncing also gives your vocal styling a reverse effect which makes voice hang in the air longer and evens out variations in your singing. I think of it as a primitive auto tune. It makes you sound better than you normally would. Which is a confidence boost? We don't sing in the shower simply because we have that song stuck in our heads. You know the one it turns out. We do it for many reasons. Stress Relief happiness great acoustics or maybe just because we like to hear our own voices no matter what the reason keep it up. It's good for you and if you've never tried it pick a song and put on your own private concert.

The real reason Meghan and Harry left Archie behind in Canada

"To learn all right still a source is telling people magazine that the reason that that baby Archie's stayed behind in Canada while his parents Megan Markle and prince Harry were over in the UK wrapping up their senior royal duties is because they had a jam packed schedule during their final rounds of royal engagements that source tells people magazine that they stayed close to their baby boy by facetiming with him every day so Meghan Markle and prince Harry just normal working parents I'm not sure story like the stories the reason that baby Archie stayed back in Canada was because mommy and Daddy had to work and so they went to work and he stayed back in Canada that's all we need to know I don't care I'm sure they have their own family measures of keeping in touch with their child sorry I have feelings too you have feelings I didn't think Meghan Markle look like a bad mother because she went to do her job and left her child at home also she did

"Nineteen Seventy-nine share is on the cover of people magazine. Talking about her lover's. But starting to talk about gene Simmons, really her big time lover. Told people magazine that he'd always been afraid to talk about the relation ship before. Because he thought it would be the death of kiss from a publicity angle. This is not the most popular thing. Sharon, I could do the fans who buy records think it's horrible. They're very jealous and possessive in that's tough. I'm crazy about share nuts about her. She is my first love. She's an unintended soul. Who has never done anything bad to anybody? They talked two times a day on the phone, they'd have stolen weekends together. And when share was denied by Manhattan society co op the Dakota where Simmons bought her a different Manhattan apartment that she could redecorate. Okay. That's very very goal. But they asked does all this imply more of a permanent relationship with gene Simmons shares said, I'm not saying marriage would never. Happen. But I'm not planning on it for once. I don't feel like I have to get married, and he said we have a lot of fun to together. And basically she would let gene Simmons kind of play when he was on the road. Yes. We'll play hard. And then also play other things as one does. So what ended up happening happening was. He said share said call my good friend, Diana Ross because what she wanted for Christmas is my best friend. So Diana went shopping with gene Simmons and their feelings for each other developed very fast, and they started a relationship. I guess thereafter. Sharon, Diana, never spoke again. This is what happened. Simmons was dating share. They were hooking up. They were all good Diana Ross at the time. Was she was just kinda in between. But she was also recently single. And here's a little fact that you didn't know, and I didn't know we know the bodyguard now is Whitney Houston's first film with Kevin Costner as her romantically that script was actually written in the seventies with Diana Ross, an actor Ryan O'Neal and mine is the league that makes total sense. They use. Didn't either? So when Diana Ross started going out with gene Simmons of kiss kiss was always known to wear heavy makeup. People did not know what they look like. Oh, yeah. They never knew what they look like. So what gene Simmons would do when he dated Dianna is he'd wear handkerchief over the bottom part of his face, and she would to kind of kitschy every once in a while. He convinced Diana Ross to leave Motown records. And if you remember at the time, Diana Ross had a love child with Barry, Gordon. Yeah. Who I'm was their first child, and that was Rhonda and Rhonda. Was not told till she was thirteen years old that uncle berry was indeed her father dad, Diana, married. This Robert Ellis, cyber Stein who was also music executive and she married him from seventy one to seventy seven and he treated he knew two months into their relationship that Diana was pregnant, and he decided any new berry, Gordon was the dad and that he would raise this first child as his own two other kids, Tracy and chutney. And then when Diana was briefly single now, she and share we're good friends. And then she takes shares quite high. So Simmons convinced Ross to leave Motown records and what at the time. She scored the biggest record deal in history. Morning million dollar contract with RCA records. Remember, so Simmons was known to be brilliant and confident businessmen and went Diana confided, a problems with Motown get the hell away from where are you nuts? And so he strong earned Gordy letting her free, and so he told Gordie that Ross had an offer from another record company. If you want her stay Motown would have to match it. Yeah. Simmons business savvy rubbed off onto Russ who wanted to manage a guy who has like prince at the time, according to free. So his name is free. Ross signed free to her management company at the time in the Qataris toured with her and Simmons behind the scenes working and sound engineering the life start the rock star lifestyle caught up with Diana Ross because Simmons had a reputation as a womanizer. Oh, yeah. Share told people magazine that he was allowed to have one eight stands on the road, but the family oriented Ross what and more after a string of indiscretions. She said he wanted her by your side every minute their fans disapproved if you can imagine they didn't like share. They didn't like Diana Ross. And they just they broke up. It was just too much. She was the antithesis of casts. Oh, of course, Diana's so she was that was going on. So then Russ now meets he's done with everything. She moves to New York from LA, and she meets Norwegian businessman, his name was Erling decade mass, and he is a shipping magnet, but also an adventure. And he met Diana Ross on a trip to the Bahamas. They married in nineteen eighty-five and had two sons. And this is where we need. What are their kids? Evan Ross was married to Ashley Simpson rate. And then the other one that they had is Ross nasqad was named Russ. He named the first kid Ross, Diana Ross. Gain the street three stepdaughters, and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. They divorced in nineteen ninety nine NAS spent his remaining five years with a Norwegian born gal who had two more sons. Okay. But nice. He had an interesting thing Diana Ross called him the love of his life. Led the first Norwegian expedition to Mount Everest also participating in some other mountain climbing things he loved it. And he had an interview in the late nineteen nineties that asked, and if he, you know, why are you doing this mountain climbing, and he says if I hadn't like risks. I would rather play tennis or golf, but that's not me. But he was staying with his friend in January two thousand four when he died climbing and climbing accident while descending from a peak at rubers escape near Cape Town, South Africa. According according to police supports Nastase anchoring equipment, loses loosened from the poorest mountainside leading to a one hundred and three millimeter fall. He was sixty six years old. Must be a meter meter fall. Thank you. So then has never remarried. Diana Ross and share do not speak still to this day. All because gene Simmons. Listen, that's pretty big Cher was in love with him. Really crazy for him. They would spend Christmas in Aspen together. They would do all this stuff. And now Evan Ross who's Diana Ross's child from her second husband, the mountaineer who died or. Uh-huh. Will be with Ashley Simpson on the new show that debuts this Sunday. Ashley, another oh, how their love story continue. There's great pictures. I posted it on Laurie. Julia laurie. What's our Instagram page, Laurie? And Julia I posted a vintage picture of Diana Ross with gene Simmons what he looked like back, then I don't ever understand attraction to him..

"Exactly affiliates pricing what coverage we see match is linde an an by every state law week on people magazine investigate completely right you know we're trying to go into telling the stories of these people who are experiencing something extraordinary and their lives and a lot of them are survivors are a lot of them have gone through and tense intense experiences and they're sharing that with us in a way that i think only the people magazine brand can bring so many great stories out there being able to tell them is one thing and being able to show them is another talk about the the technique to use to bring these crimes in fact we feel like were there were feel like we feel like we know these people we feel like we're with you as you're doing the investigation how do you make that possible how do you take us to the scene of the crime it's really a good point we have spent so many years telling stories online and stories in the magazine imprint and this has been a really exciting new way for us to share stories and we do that through the deep investigative reporting that our staff does working in connection with producers to put together the right subjects on camera the right dramatic recreations were involved in all of that every step along the way so that we can make sure that we're very true to the stories that we're telling and i think viewers are getting this very unique perspective of the ins and outs of a lot of these crimes indefinitely the people that are a at the center of them storytelling element to this there's also an investigative element to this you come up with new details with new revelations and talk about that of nago nitrous taking newspaper accounts in recreating those but actually doing the investigation all right i think that's one of the things that is so special about working on this project is our team is very season we've got.
