"Listen, we we'd be we'd be cool with that. In the world of Channel five because Kelly Clarkson is our shoes are leading show right now that she's not an NBC everywhere, you know, it's sort of weird how those work up in the majority of places she is. Now talk about that, Donna when we joked about did you really think that the musicians were at the radio stations that you listen to as a kid? Um, the first time that I realized, let's say the Rosie O'Donnell show was on A B C area was on CBS for us, but it was actually shot at NBC in New York. When I went and did a studio tour of New York when I was 12, I couldn't believe it. I didn't understand how How the Saint how the show could be on different channels right in different cities. Yeah, I couldn't get it. Okay, so along those same lines, but kind of different I never really understood network versus local And part of the reason is because I lived. In the New York area. And all of the show is originated in New York. Do you know what I mean? Sure, Good morning, America's in New York and the Today show in New York, So I thought they were our local Bank girl. Wow. Like al broker worked at the local station right before he went to the net was so I didn't understand all that If I went to a different state, I'd be like, Oh, You get our guys to? Ah, I mean, it was very confusing to me, but I get it now, guys to say no, thank you. Thinking of New York from dawn, you checked out Pretend it's a city. Oh, did you like it? I loved it. I couldn't stop watching it. I love that woman. Oh, my God. I love her. I want to be friends with her. But I know she wouldn't want to be friends with me. Which is why I love her. She hates everyone. It's so funny. That woman is hilarious. Fran Liebowitz is who we're talking about. Martin score says he did a documentary about her actually, 10 years ago called What's It called Stuff? Speaking Engagement? No. Um yeah, it was based on making Yes, that's that's right. Public speaking. And then this new one is on Netflix in a few like an old curmudgeon. She hates everything. And everyone kind of like Lewis Black. Yes, And just but just Has great commentary. Terry and a great spin just makes everything funny. She does hate everything. But she also just makes everything so darn funny, and I also have a real Love for New York. You know, I'm so jealous that you I mean, don is kind of like a celebrity to me because she was on the radio in New York. Yes, Right. Just like kind of lived my dream. Yeah, just like the whole East coast. Granted, wherever you live. You take it for granted. We didn't go into the city a lot. Yeah, A lot of the reason was because New York was extremely dangerous in the seventies, right? And that's always been my parents impression of New York even after it's cleaned, you know, son of Sam. Oh, sure, there was a serial killer in New York. There was a lot of prostitution in New York a lot of like crime. So I didn't get TOC spend the time in New York that I wished I had. Well, you worked there. I worked outside of the city at a New York radio station That happened to be in in, um in, um the meadowlands. Okay. I didn't know that. That's where it was. Yeah, I wonder if you come up there to, you know, especially if you're born and raised somewhere. Then it really has no shine anymore. Where is if you if you move from a really different locale, not across the bridge across the river with Jersey to New York, But you know, if you come from Texas or Louisiana or whatever, then it's then I think it has innate Lee More of the world. That's a great although our buddy Jeremy Parsons, who works for People magazine, He and I worked together out in l A. And then he moved to New York. What was it five or six years ago, and I remember him. I think he has changed his tune. But I remember him saying, Boy, they really sell you a bill of goods on New York. It looks so dreamy and the movies everything is great. It is a hassle. It is so bloody expensive to get anyway. Yes. And which is something she talks about? Yeah, I mean, my brother and his wife live. I don't know, maybe nine miles outside of JFK, but it takes an hour and a half to get home from that airport. Which is why I always flying to New York. Yeah, because it's just everything is a hassle. Yeah, Yeah, It is great. If you it's not for everybody. But I would say if you you know, she also has 10,000 books. Yes, I wouldn't bought one of the books that she recommended yesterday. Yeah, I was like I have to read that in. Martin score says he loves her. He the doors here. It's just so fun to see him. Just hysterically laughing. I yes, she left so much in that justice so tickled by her, By the way, Donna, are you hearing the ease at which Donna saying Martin Scorsese? Yes, I am. Are you feeling challenged to? Maybe no better do better, Chris. The sad. Oh, uh, saying it wrong. No, You're saying it right? You're saying it right? Because I want to say Scorsese Oh, no. If Donna struggles with pronunciation she her crutch is to her safety blanket is to add a lot of theatrical affectation to it. Because then you can't really Yeah, my Sophia. Anyway, it's called Pretend it's a city. Uh, feel betrayed. Feel, Max. No, Netflix. That's like, so I've been watching a lot of each field, Max, so I just assumed He's well friends. It's that time of the show for us to say if we saw something, shouldn't we say something? No. Over the weekend, I met a waste management worker from New Jersey as a result of another Donna Valentine text failed to tell you the conversation. I ended up in that I couldn't find my way out of when we return on the Donna and Steve Show on my talk. Nothing but good times.

Sordid details of Johnny Depp's private life made public

"I'm fascinated by this because I do think at one point. He was a very, very good actor Johnny Depp. And now his entire life has just fallen apart. What has happened to this man? Is it Is it booze and drugs? Well, it's losing throat. It's also though, in the view of Hollywood, and this time the Hollywood reporter, which is kind of the you know, the newspaper that covers the doings out there has a devastating story in this week, which basically says that he has become radioactive. You might recall it. Obviously back in the summer time. There was this lawsuit where he was suing a newspaper in the UK for saying that he was a wife beater. And in this trial, it was revealed just dozens of emails and horrible behavior that frankly backed up, but the you know what his ex wife and with the newspaper said, and the judge agreed not only to the judge agree that the newspaper that could script called him a wife beater. But they essentially prohibited to him from appealing this case. Meanwhile, he assuming his ex wife, Amber, heard in a court in Virginia that suits about to begin in January. A lot of the same stuff. That was found to be un supportable in the UK trial, so he's seen in Hollywood is just being insanely vengeful. Not to mention a drunk, a drug use or incredibly profligate spending millions upon millions of dollars and in this world now With me to, um, the idea of any Hollywood studio hiring a man who's been labeled a wife beater seems completely implausible. He had a small movie that was supposed to come out last month. At a film festival in Poland. He didn't turn up. The movie was withdrawn. He has a project that he was gonna be doing. Jerry Bruckheimer, huge Hollywood producer on the life of Harry Houdini. He apparently has been dropped from that. And this is a guy who you know has a lot of things and needs a lot of money. As you know his spending his ethics so without these kinds of did paydays God knows what's going to happen to stand still love him, probably. But the fact of the matter is Hollywood will not hire him. So their love is going to have to go back into the catalog and look at old movies. But I don't think anybody's gonna hire him for anything. New. So literally, Larry, Let me ask you when you were the editor of People magazine Back in the day when Johnny Depp was riding high, Did you Did your reporters pick up stuff about bad behavior? Craziness? Did you have any concerns about where that career was headed back when you have good things about him? Let me split that question into Yes. To the first part of the question. No to the second. Yes, we heard about the bad behavior. Look, he didn't make a secret of it right? He was in a rock band. He dressed like Keith Richards. He kind of he played Hunter Thompson. You know, he epically did a lot of drug this was all known about it. It was part of his charm in some degree crazy enough as it may seem, like all things in moderation that makes him charming. And look, we made him the sexy man. I think twice While I was the editor of the magazine, he was someone who then and arguably still might have a lot of appeal. But at a certain point, you know, when you're pushing 60 and you start and you continue to act like this, it's not charming and again when you look at what was accounted in that trial in the UK not only just the text messages using filthy text messages about his wife, written tip Hollywood agents and other colleagues. But the kind of litany of behavior throwing glasses, the bleeding the fights the cutting the screaming, You know, I counted to buy a lot of people, including people who worked for him. Quite frankly, it's impossible to deny. That this guy's personal life is a mess. Now. We don't watch him in movies, you know, thinking about his personal life, but in this world that we live in now it's increasingly difficult to separate that behavior from what appears on strings. "Every year I was passed over. For People magazine's sexiest man alive. What were they thinking? Chris? Just you know, I thought every year, I think. Well, you know, it's 2022 wacky year. Maybe they'll just, you know, fallen hit their head. You know, Michael B. Jordan. Now here's what's weird. Charity People magazine says Michael B. Jordan is the sexiest man alive. Dave Ayler, who by the way and my condolences today, they'll or he was passed up to A sexiest man alive. I would actually vote for Dave Aylor. Neither one of us really know. I mean, I know who Michael Jordan is. I'm not sure I know. I mean, I've heard the name but I can't. Can't in my mind's eye. I visualized Michael B. Jordan and I just totally out of touch. Did you miss Black Panther? I did see Black Panther. Okay. He was the villain in That felt okay. But he was in the Black Panther. Yet, apparently, if you ever saw the Rocky Sequel, Creed, which nobody said hey, was also I liked all the rocky movies. I've been meaning to see Creed It's like and I've been like I've been surfing like Netflix and stuff. It is like Creed too, and it's like, Well, I can't watch create, too. Cause I haven't watched Creed yet. We'll watch Creed to once they see creed. So all right. I am going to Google image Michael B. Jordan and see what my competition looks like. All right, I guess he's sexier than I am. Well, Davis and Edward

Ryan Cabrera and WWE Star Alexa Bliss Are Engaged

"I think that social media is a reality in this world In the world that we live in in the world of sports entertainment. And i think that we have to learn how to live with it and i think we can actually use it as a tool for example recording this on sunday and today yesterday at the time this podcast comes out. It was everywhere. Alexa bliss announces that she's engaged A lot of alexa bliss fans are so happy for her lot of alexa. Bliss fans are very sad. Because i guess they thought that alexa bliss was going to marry them until she got engaged. It was so you're saying there's a chance. I saw on the not sam wrestling discord room. Where all are not. Sam shells that are signed up to patriot. Dot com slash. Sam wrestling. That we all get to chat There were a couple of them. That were upset. That alexa was engaged because they thought that that was going to be them. Unfortunately it's not but don't worry you still got the patriot community. You still got us. Not sam shells that are there for you. it's not. it's not all bad news but it was everywhere. She posted this video of of ryan. Cabrera popstar cabrera who she's been very publicly dating Proposing tour beautiful thing. You love is a wonderful thing and seeing join in holy matrimony and become even happier is wonderful. It's one of the happiest things if you are with the right person. The day the night the evening the afternoon that you get engaged one of the happiest times ever just such an expression of joy. It's beautiful. I love it but everybody's talking about it. I mean alexa. Bliss is a huge star. You know you've got. Wwe tweeting about it. And i probably should be. It's it's a little bit absurd to ignore it. You know not only is one of the biggest stars really realistically alexa. Bliss is one of the biggest stars in. wwe male or female. She's one of the most famous people in. Wwe so you know. And this is big. Wwe is big time. Now you got sasha banks over here on the mandalorian which you see. Sasha banks one of the big another one of the biggest stars in wwe and probably the biggest tv show. that's on the air right now. You see that happening which weird. The wwe isn't making a bigger deal out of that. Like if i were. Www shouting it from the rooftops. But you've got that going on at the same time you got to cherry public engagement. You know i mean. I feel like we should let's angle for a reality show. Let's get on the phone. I was watching total balas over the weekend. And i was like you know what i miss. When they would go to wrestlemainia. I was just sitting there waiting for them to go to wrestling. Like oh wait. There is no more wrestling. And that's when. I realized that i was watching total bells for the wrestling parts. They still got daniel bryan on the show. Obviously no more john cena. They're not going to wrestling shows anymore. So it's like oh. I like the balanced. But i'm still you know living in brima to seven but they're not gonna wrestling shows anymore so yes so let's get alexa. Bliss rang cabrera. Let's get blissfully something or other. You know you got bliss already in there you you got it. But here's what. I think needs to happen now that we've acknowledged. Wwe is acknowledged it's all over wwe social media platforms. I think that you gotta lean into it. And i think that you should use it. I think that this can be a lot of fun. Especially because ryan cabrera is also a public person. Here's the way. I think this needs to go. You had this segment on raw last week. Where nikki cross is talking to alexa. And there's this acknowledgement that they used to be friends. Which i think is great. We're not pretending that the election nikki partnership never happened is a big part of. Wwe at the time you know. We're still acknowledging it and alexis doing that. Weird phony friendly like almost like i'm in a trance. Peewee herman thing and nikki cross tells her alexa you gotta pick mere the fiend and alexa. As if it doesn't bother it all goes. Oh okay. I pick him. And walks away and nikki crosses befuddled by the whole thing befuddled. I love this. I think we need to keep this going. You know i look. This is the type of stuff. I want for alexa bliss and the this is why i say. Keep the fiend away from the universal championship. Keep the fiend away from the wwe championship because these are the types of stories. You can tell you know. I think that we should go back and look at who are friends. Were in annex t the start telling those stories and have somebody come out. Go like lexi. What are you doing things. You're you're not the same person what what's happening. I pick him and you know over. The course of a couple of weeks have her abandoning oliver. All friends and then finally ryan cabrera comes out on raw and it's like real life now it's like is this alexa. Bliss is this. What's her name lexi kaufman in real life. I don't know. I only know people by their wrestling names. But is this the real alexa. Bliss from real life. is the character alexa bliss now. We're mixing everything up. Which is what we should all be doing. That's the way wrestling is at. Its best mix everything up. And you've ryan cabrera out on raw and he's like alexa. I love you and she's like i love you. Do you know like yeah. Of course it you love me. I love you. We're we're doing great and he's like well. You're not the same person i thought. When we got engaged it would shake you out of this transfer inches. I'm not in a trance. I'm just seeing things for what they are for. The first time ryan cabrera goes lexi. I need you need you to pick you. Pick me or the fiend. She's kind of taken aback. She's like i didn't realize he felt that way. Ryan that's how i feel and she's like well net case i pick him. He's like what and then you hear bumble bumble bumble and the lights go out. Eat whatever those sounds are and tom phillips going. Oh no not here that's alexa. Bliss fiance pop sensation ryan cabrera and the red lights come on and the fiend is behind ryan cabrera and ryan cabrera's looking around and he's looking at alexa bliss. I what are you doing here. Like this is our real life and then he realized he gets his goosebumps. You realize the fiend is right behind him so he turns around and the phoenix cox's head and sticks his tongue out of his mask grabs ryan cabrera vice skull dips him over gives him a kiss on the forehead and he sister abigail ryan cabrera. Alexa bliss is real life. Fiance get sister abigail an alexa bliss just standing over him smiling. I love it man. I mean i i think that why not why not. I feel like it would be good for everybody involved. Like let's let's blur the lines here guys. Let's not pretend there's two separate entities as it's happening eventually we can tell the story of how like. Oh this is so wild in my personal and blah blah blah but while it's happening muster blending these lines with blurred altogether be like. That's a real fiancee right. Yup like the best is when you're trying to explain to a non wrestling fan. What storyline and what's not storyline. And they get confused because you're a little bit confused because you're not one hundred percent sure where the lines are and who's getting worked by what maybe. wwe tweeting about this was part of the storyline. All along are they even really engaged. I don't even know anymore. I don't know anything anymore. I guess i'm just going to sit here and watch monday night. Ron finds out. Find out what happens next. Because that's the way we should be watching anyway. Just let it play out and see what happens. I would love that if that happened. I would love it if that happened. Socket in our discord room. Says i love that. Sam has cabrera taking bumps like the fiend doesn't use the middle claw. He hit the mandible claw. After maybe alexa bliss puts the mandible claw him or something like that but is taking sister abigail. I mean we are laying out ryan cabrera. 'cause i want e. news. I want entertainment tonight. I want whatever extra whatever. Entertainment shows are left on television. I want people magazine. People dot com. I want everybody posting videos of being like popstar ryan cabrera. Remember him. Well i remember. I remember will now. He's getting laid out by the fiend on monday night raw. Because here's what happens. If you have a pop star that you grew up idolizing and he's getting laid out. Here's the way that works. You get the people who don't watch wrestling to not only get a glimpse of monday night raw but they get a glimpse of the theme. The is one the most unique properties the wwe has. The fiend is the type of visual. That went a non wrestling fan watches. They go what the hell is that. I'm going to have to tune in and see what that's all about. That's one of the strengths of the fiend. And if you got footage of ryan cabrera eating a sister. Abigail and his real life fiance alexa. Bliss is looking on happily in that weird fien state. You got money bro. you got money. I hope they're already thinking in that direction. If not. i'm in text. Bruce richard because somebody has to tell them get ryan cabrera on that show and lay that out. I think it'd be great. I think it'd be great. Congratulations to the two of them. But i have to believe that ryan cabrera. Whatever time of his life. I know i would if my fiance was a wrestler and she was like hey would you mind coming to raw and having the fiend. Give you sister abigail. I'd be like number one. That's awesome number two. After the show me. I get a picture of him in full gimmick. I really wish i could do that. I really wish i mean. I wish. I wish that. I could have one of the shows that i was at the fiend was at too. I wish i could just go like hey bro. Can we take a picture with you. Still in your gimmick and not. Be a weirdo. That doesn't deserve to be backstage. Because man do. I want that picture a really really. Do

How Dancing Got This Homeless Woman Hired

"I love these inspiring stories of someone. Making progress. Says all this article. This went viral this story I'm about to share with you this. Particular article comes from People magazine. The inspiring story of a young woman who's happy dance went viral. After she accepted a job offer. Colli Jones recently went viral. With her dance after she as the reason job interview and in the parking lot was caught on security cameras on September twenty-ninth. Jones met manager dicara Spence interview for a server. Opening at the spot, which is a restaurant outside of Atlanta metropolitan area that point. Jones had been homeless for two years of struggling to find work during the corona virus. Spence. Who did the interview said she had a great energy about her I fell to when she walked in. She was very positive. The interview went well, and when Jones left the restaurant a short time later she celebrated by dancing in the parking lot. She did not know that Spence would see her or watch her celebration through the security camera. Jones said I was excited when I got outside I didn't know that the cameras were on me with the spontaneous celebration spins knew she had found a perfect fit for the team and Jones I called her phone. And said, I'm going to hire you and I've seen you do the happy dance you can continue dancing. She was just screaming through the phone. It was a beautiful moment for me. Now here's why I love this this young lady Collide Jones. Homeless unemployed. Homeless for nearly two years. She goes in does the interview she feels so good about the she knew she did great. She wasn't aware that she was going to get the job. She felt really good about it. And she allowed herself. In the midst of tremendous uncertainty, two years, folks of being homeless. She allows herself a moment of celebration to say I, feel like I nailed that one that went really really well, and you've got to imagine that that's one of the few things that had gone well for her and she allows this moment to overtake her having no idea. That she was being washed on the security cameras and. She really already had the job, but that's certainly. Locked it in so unbelievable. well-spent. The hiring manager posted the video to social media and it's been viewed by millions. And Jones's comet was I was going through so much. This is collide as the gala got the interview they got the job. She said I was going through so much at that point when I was given this chance and this opportunity I was so elated. So excited. So overwhelmed. To the point that no one understood how happy and accomplished I felt at that moment. So she had a she had a wonderful wonderful response and you know the reasons gone viral is because we as human beings need two things. Number One We always need positive stories. To hold onto in the midst of our own. Struggles in our own grind. And then we need to see other people winning. It's not just that we need a positive story in something good to hang onto in the midst of this corona pandemic. In all of the things that have been thrown completely helter skelter result of it is not that we just need some positive optimistic. Touches. We also in the best of times, still need to see other people winning. We get excited when we see other people win the reason we like watching these things in listening to these things is because it spurs US along. So Colli thank you for your happy dates it has helped and encouraged so many people.

The Shade Room: Pros & Cons

"In a world filled with Daesh ously bountiful boss of headlines and videos that screen world saw the shave room has taken instagram by storm in two thousand fourteen Joachim. Wanda start at the shade room after realizing she can use her love for celebrity gossip to practice her writing. But after hating ten thousand followers you want to realize she was on something. Today, the Shade Room has over twenty million followers on instagram and features regular commentary from celebrities like the descent Nicki. menaj and Ti that last part is what makes the Shade Room truly unique outside of twitter it's pretty rare for celebrities and everyday people to have so many interactions with those blurred lines are also what makes the Shade Room? So controversial whether it's making Ziya, Wade owner of harmful comments or the legal back and forth with Cardi B. When it comes to boundaries, things can get ugly. So today we brought on journalist and author George. M Johnson to help us figure out if the Shane Room is good or bad for the culture. Thank you me. I'm excited. You know the showroom has built an empire. Moving celebrity gossip here's what's your take on the importance of celebrity gossip. Gossip. It kind of is what keeps your career going on social media wise. As media has shifted from red carpets to kind of step of house, you can kind of create your own `Paparazzi. Kylie Jenner. Day. The. Whole Light Brown skinned girl only. Even though it was big, it kept her name out there viability for twenty hours on. Sale somewhere absolutely down, I think that celebrity gossip in general is fun I. Think it just gives me something to think about. Everyday life especially, these days I'm like recently has gotten dark I will say. The thing that? Has To be say. For the most part, it can be fun. I think that there is a difference between having good fun and that exposing like the more vulnerable aspects of somebody's life four laps, all that being said, what's actually start our. Conversation today with the pros. So you our guest you welcome to start off with the pros at Oh i. Froze are that the platform very very large and When they are used for good, can generate a lot of money especially to light nonprofit organizations are community based organizations and especially small businesses. I think a lot times sites will amplify. Small black businesses or business owners were creating things and it literally opens you up to people to support your products i. think in ways when you utilize your platform to uplift. And encourage and support resources in things that are out there for black folks I think that's something that more of. These types of sites can start to do. Now that's the point I do wonder what percentage like if you actually did, what percentage of share on posts are act I kind of lean towards the lifted Maybe one out of every fifteen. Twenty. That's something I. Think if I'm considering what my pro is I think the showroom actually does what I consider a pretty exceptional jobs documenting how black people use the Internet, black folks have. In DEX on social media, you know we are on twitter. So much is referred to as black twitter. This thing that all kind of white corporate executives are trying to figure out and the share room kind of will break down those pieces before black people like I think about the the not obeying video that came out recently. Day aware she. Fucking Bang. Not A. wakeup talking about not obeying and I'm like what is going on and I knew that I can go to the shave room and it will break down who made it why popular all the means they had developed all around it and I think that actually can be a big service like I don't know of too many other places that are talking about. The way. Black people use the Internet and social media like the share room us. Come along with a whole lot of other stuff. Absolute. Auto. I think that this shade room is a reliable platform for black celebrity. A celebrity period is is celebrity gossip every single celebrity whether they want to admit it or not they benefit from the celebrity height machine and that gossip like gossip mechanism the shade room does is provide back black celebrities who are frequently shut out of your us. Weekly's people magazine's it's a place. Where you know a black celebrity knows that somebody is GonNa care who they are what they're doing whether they are selling Tommy T or in the case of the simone dry like usually I like to keep some of the scams but I can be some old was I can go on the find out but also Michelle Obama gives a speech at the Democratic National Convention. Even if I missed it. Yeah NPR. Have NBC. SHAVER. Remarks on that to the thirty years from now we look back. The Oscars, the grammys, the emmys, the institutions that don't frequently reward black talent. We might look back did not see an accurate reflection of what was happening in the culture, our culture at the time American culture at the time. But this Shade Room Shave is GonNa Habit accurate count black people the culture and shaver actually documents a wide variety of black people and I think that's a good thing. Archive of like everything going on black. That's a good point. It's an interesting slice.

Going From Homeless To Hired

"Williams. Last. You've. Had Fallen on hard times and was now living in her car and she would park it. Outside of a kroger back in the parking lot far back in the parking lot in our state here of Tennessee this is a national story now in people magazine. This is her quote. She said I would lean my seat all the way back. So no one would see me because you know I knew I wasn't supposed to be there. But she eventually cross paths with the Kroger hiring manager a lady by the name Jackie Vandal who gave her a heads up about an upcoming, job? Fair. After Williams was repeatedly asking her if the store was hiring. So there's the first she is on really Really thin ice in that she's sleeping in the parking lot and if they figure out that she sleeping in the parking lot, they're going to kick around parking lot. So she's Kinda got that risk factor going on and she's on hard times big time and yet she keeps showing up she keeps going hey, are you hiring are hiring? Are you hiring at the lowest point of her life her desire even though that she's really really doubt her desire to climb out is so strong she risks getting found out so. This is the quote from Jackie Vandal. She says, you get a feel of someone sincere or if they're just trying to get a job to say they got one and then quit a month later I could tell she was very sincere. It was a gut feeling. So. vandal tells Williams to submit our application online. Williams retrieves an old laptop from car and spins out filling out the application with vandals help as soon as she submitted at Vandal hire on the spot. I love that story because the hiring manager decides to help her out. Not. Just given the job by saying you've gotta fill this thing out she sits in the car with her helps are filled this application out. and. Once she goes through the final step of hitting submit. She hires her why she wanted to see her go through the whole process. There's some wonderful wonderful teacher if you're going to help somebody. That really needs it. I really believe there's something to making them do some things. To prove to you and to them that they are willing to do what it takes and this lady Shiva Williams was and she'd been dealing with a lot of abuse physical abuse mental and. Verbal abuse. And she's been at the store. This is at the end of two, thousand and nineteen. She's been at the store the entire year of twenty twenty and has made the most of this opportunity. She saved up enough money to get her own apartment and then her workers came together to help her furnish it. Oh, my goodness that feels good. What's the, takeaway. The takeaway I think is twofold number one. If you're really down doesn't matter if you're in the situation that this fabulous lady was in. But you're just really down. Your desire to get out of that is what's going to fuel the climb. Secondly, if you come across someone who's really really down and you can see they've got a genuine desire. To climb out, you owe it to them. The SNOT, an accident you owe it to them. To reach. down. Let them, take your arms, your hands, and help him come out. They gotTA put some effort into it. Yes. But you owe it to him. So what a story listen to Williams I'd love to meet her. Because I think that is an inspiring story and also the hiring manager Jackie vandal. Love to meet her.

Was on their TV show. And they started talking about all these get a MAC ads that never aired. So I've watched I've probably watched more MAC ads apple ads than virtually anyone else because I put them in the introduction of virtually all of our shows, and you would not believe how much apple advertisements are out there floating around, and I've seen just about all of them, but they're only about sixty six of the get a MAC ads and I realized, I found out reading this interview there's actually over three hundred ads they filmed three hundred and the only aired sixty six of them, but according to Justin long Steve Jobs aside to keep the best ads off the air because they were too funny..

"Oh, bre- you were right now. Artem actually was correct. And Nicole sorry, you're Willie wrong. I'm definitely wrong. Because mother dragons, I was not expecting her to fire up the city speaking of fire because Nikki's been known to fire up some emotional tweets this week. We're going into bait should Jit tweet your emotions or keep them off line. Nikki thinks spree for that. And everyone remember we each have thirty seconds to make an opening statement for our side of the issue. And then we have two minutes for final arguments, which is a free for all so sincere. The one who's filled with all this fire. I say you go I all my gosh. Ready? You have thirty seconds. This is in Santa for like an alarm here we go. Okay. So surprisingly, I am now anti tweeting your emotions and it's because you get yourself in trouble. So I tweeted stuff out, I've done this a lot actually. And you know what I realize it never ends up. Good either ends up as a headliner, you hurt people's feelings, and you have to think when you're in a fight, and this is one of my biggest flaws I hit below the belt and I'll say things. I don't mean instead I tweeted them out, and it makes people have a certain perception of who I'm talking about, or that they thinks, and it's morally shouldn't do it. I I didn't debate. Well, you didn't but doesn't mean you get cheat. It's just a very touchy subject for me bream, but here let's start the clock for you. Ready set. Go so surprisingly, I am for emotional tweeting. And this is why not only do I get entertained, but I feel like when people are very passionate have strong feelings, and they put him out for the world to see they make change. For example, you who have a lot of fire you've gone against so many little trolls on the internet. You suck up for people and you've done stuff that I'm like, wow. I would never my life do that. You did it with your emotion, and you made people feel confident, and like they were part of the Bella army, and I applaud before that. Really? I know this one, I like this could be a really long debate. Here we go sister. I ready. Yes. Go, okay. So I do think you have some amazing points. But this is the thing is sometimes we don't think of the is a pre. Always to my minutes on. Right, a numbered. A sixteen year old environmentalists has gone to Twitter to make kids all over the world skip school to bring notice and recognition to the environment. She emotionally tweets Shimo Shanley instruments. And she is okay. Let's talk about the motion tweeting against people. Sometimes we don't realize the repercussions, or do they or does that person sit back home and go, you know what? She has a point for me, sometimes I've done it out of a motion, and I thought after did you not, not always actually, I don't always feel good after. Sometimes I feel like maybe I just drove hate to certain someone. And it's an all right. Perfect. I. But see, I agree with you. But sometimes I'm like, in this technology world. And this world is being taken over by social media..

"Nineteen Seventy-nine share is on the cover of people magazine. Talking about her lover's. But starting to talk about gene Simmons, really her big time lover. Told people magazine that he'd always been afraid to talk about the relation ship before. Because he thought it would be the death of kiss from a publicity angle. This is not the most popular thing. Sharon, I could do the fans who buy records think it's horrible. They're very jealous and possessive in that's tough. I'm crazy about share nuts about her. She is my first love. She's an unintended soul. Who has never done anything bad to anybody? They talked two times a day on the phone, they'd have stolen weekends together. And when share was denied by Manhattan society co op the Dakota where Simmons bought her a different Manhattan apartment that she could redecorate. Okay. That's very very goal. But they asked does all this imply more of a permanent relationship with gene Simmons shares said, I'm not saying marriage would never. Happen. But I'm not planning on it for once. I don't feel like I have to get married, and he said we have a lot of fun to together. And basically she would let gene Simmons kind of play when he was on the road. Yes. We'll play hard. And then also play other things as one does. So what ended up happening happening was. He said share said call my good friend, Diana Ross because what she wanted for Christmas is my best friend. So Diana went shopping with gene Simmons and their feelings for each other developed very fast, and they started a relationship. I guess thereafter. Sharon, Diana, never spoke again. This is what happened. Simmons was dating share. They were hooking up. They were all good Diana Ross at the time. Was she was just kinda in between. But she was also recently single. And here's a little fact that you didn't know, and I didn't know we know the bodyguard now is Whitney Houston's first film with Kevin Costner as her romantically that script was actually written in the seventies with Diana Ross, an actor Ryan O'Neal and mine is the league that makes total sense. They use. Didn't either? So when Diana Ross started going out with gene Simmons of kiss kiss was always known to wear heavy makeup. People did not know what they look like. Oh, yeah. They never knew what they look like. So what gene Simmons would do when he dated Dianna is he'd wear handkerchief over the bottom part of his face, and she would to kind of kitschy every once in a while. He convinced Diana Ross to leave Motown records. And if you remember at the time, Diana Ross had a love child with Barry, Gordon. Yeah. Who I'm was their first child, and that was Rhonda and Rhonda. Was not told till she was thirteen years old that uncle berry was indeed her father dad, Diana, married. This Robert Ellis, cyber Stein who was also music executive and she married him from seventy one to seventy seven and he treated he knew two months into their relationship that Diana was pregnant, and he decided any new berry, Gordon was the dad and that he would raise this first child as his own two other kids, Tracy and chutney. And then when Diana was briefly single now, she and share we're good friends. And then she takes shares quite high. So Simmons convinced Ross to leave Motown records and what at the time. She scored the biggest record deal in history. Morning million dollar contract with RCA records. Remember, so Simmons was known to be brilliant and confident businessmen and went Diana confided, a problems with Motown get the hell away from where are you nuts? And so he strong earned Gordy letting her free, and so he told Gordie that Ross had an offer from another record company. If you want her stay Motown would have to match it. Yeah. Simmons business savvy rubbed off onto Russ who wanted to manage a guy who has like prince at the time, according to free. So his name is free. Ross signed free to her management company at the time in the Qataris toured with her and Simmons behind the scenes working and sound engineering the life start the rock star lifestyle caught up with Diana Ross because Simmons had a reputation as a womanizer. Oh, yeah. Share told people magazine that he was allowed to have one eight stands on the road, but the family oriented Ross what and more after a string of indiscretions. She said he wanted her by your side every minute their fans disapproved if you can imagine they didn't like share. They didn't like Diana Ross. And they just they broke up. It was just too much. She was the antithesis of casts. Oh, of course, Diana's so she was that was going on. So then Russ now meets he's done with everything. She moves to New York from LA, and she meets Norwegian businessman, his name was Erling decade mass, and he is a shipping magnet, but also an adventure. And he met Diana Ross on a trip to the Bahamas. They married in nineteen eighty-five and had two sons. And this is where we need. What are their kids? Evan Ross was married to Ashley Simpson rate. And then the other one that they had is Ross nasqad was named Russ. He named the first kid Ross, Diana Ross. Gain the street three stepdaughters, and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. They divorced in nineteen ninety nine NAS spent his remaining five years with a Norwegian born gal who had two more sons. Okay. But nice. He had an interesting thing Diana Ross called him the love of his life. Led the first Norwegian expedition to Mount Everest also participating in some other mountain climbing things he loved it. And he had an interview in the late nineteen nineties that asked, and if he, you know, why are you doing this mountain climbing, and he says if I hadn't like risks. I would rather play tennis or golf, but that's not me. But he was staying with his friend in January two thousand four when he died climbing and climbing accident while descending from a peak at rubers escape near Cape Town, South Africa. According according to police supports Nastase anchoring equipment, loses loosened from the poorest mountainside leading to a one hundred and three millimeter fall. He was sixty six years old. Must be a meter meter fall. Thank you. So then has never remarried. Diana Ross and share do not speak still to this day. All because gene Simmons. Listen, that's pretty big Cher was in love with him. Really crazy for him. They would spend Christmas in Aspen together. They would do all this stuff. And now Evan Ross who's Diana Ross's child from her second husband, the mountaineer who died or. Uh-huh. Will be with Ashley Simpson on the new show that debuts this Sunday. Ashley, another oh, how their love story continue. There's great pictures. I posted it on Laurie. Julia laurie. What's our Instagram page, Laurie? And Julia I posted a vintage picture of Diana Ross with gene Simmons what he looked like back, then I don't ever understand attraction to him..

"I heart stuff i'm assuming that a very small percentage of his audience subscribes to people magazine or reads us weekly my only connection to pop culture as miss molly she keeps me inform so i don't say things like you know who are are the kardashians again or whatever she make sure that i know what's going on in the world other than politics a national security and and political philosophy and whatnot uh but it turns out that j law jennifer lawrence actress of many films is not taking a break from acting ford of i knew she thought she was and i came on i was gonna say all know because truth be told them uh kind of a jail often you know uh i i appreciate i celebrate a whole catalogue i think it's a skull nice nice body of work um and yet here we are being told in advance that we can expect there to be some politics coming out of a ms ms lawrence the next year 'cause you're activism to celebrities they never do activism that's not at least i never hear about maybe that's better way to put it i never hear about activism that isn't in the realm of progressive virtue signalling why can't we have more celebrities whose activism is i want to raise lots of money for charter schools in the inner city i want to raise lots of money for uh a specific group cancer research programme or whatever.

"Exactly affiliates pricing what coverage we see match is linde an an by every state law week on people magazine investigate completely right you know we're trying to go into telling the stories of these people who are experiencing something extraordinary and their lives and a lot of them are survivors are a lot of them have gone through and tense intense experiences and they're sharing that with us in a way that i think only the people magazine brand can bring so many great stories out there being able to tell them is one thing and being able to show them is another talk about the the technique to use to bring these crimes in fact we feel like were there were feel like we feel like we know these people we feel like we're with you as you're doing the investigation how do you make that possible how do you take us to the scene of the crime it's really a good point we have spent so many years telling stories online and stories in the magazine imprint and this has been a really exciting new way for us to share stories and we do that through the deep investigative reporting that our staff does working in connection with producers to put together the right subjects on camera the right dramatic recreations were involved in all of that every step along the way so that we can make sure that we're very true to the stories that we're telling and i think viewers are getting this very unique perspective of the ins and outs of a lot of these crimes indefinitely the people that are a at the center of them storytelling element to this there's also an investigative element to this you come up with new details with new revelations and talk about that of nago nitrous taking newspaper accounts in recreating those but actually doing the investigation all right i think that's one of the things that is so special about working on this project is our team is very season we've got.
