"Gotta be California tweaked errors not recognizable in any other state. Yes although CMG sent me there nine millimeter conversion thing with the Pax. Yes that's a very cool product. That's very cool product. If I've got one if you WANNA play with if you don't have one or you showed it to me before you shot it and he hadn't shot it yet so probably put a thousand rounds for that thing. That's that thing runs like a Swiss watch and is it using their own max uses. They sat me actually sent me their own management. They'll also don't know if it uses PEMEX five five six. Oh there's a yeah that's so you can you can either get them back from them or you can They'll send an insert. And you just basically take the floor playoff. Take this Spring and follower out insert. There's but for playback on a MAG if you've got a gen two or greater or newer pemex it virtual pemex immediately and virtue automatically to ten rounds. So it's California California legal. There's a little thing you can. If you're in a free state you can Clinton you know an increase that that that number pretty much. It's a ten round MAG or it's not a ten because you bought it during freedom but then natural hold every research that no I would never say a thing. I take that back not me. Hopefully Free two-week extends after they go back in here again. Judge Benitez we had Chuck Michelle her earlier and he was. He was very hopeful about that so I thought that the news from him was very good. So we'll see we'll see how that turns out but he seemed to be very hopeful about some of the stuff at the Supreme Court. Obviously the new your case and some of the things that are sitting with the night circuit now that the the the structure that court has changed a lot because trump so he seemed to be very positive. So that's more positive than I've heard him. Being on a lot of things. That was very good so I thought that was pretty good. I'm hoping for those a lot of those things to change. The problem is once they everything. I've seen the past ten years once they say yes. It's okay you never hear about it again. It gets tied up in some legal and I don't know where that we were supposed to get rid of the ten day. Ten twenty four hour period waiting period and they were talking about If you had a C W would be able to buy in and walk out if you already have. I don't know where that went. And we don't either and it's it's one of those mysteries like well. They said they overturned it where to go and no one can answer the question. I've been trying to buy a gun to walk out all that time and neither Susan nor can will let me do you that hanging from traditions blacked out against well. I did buy a an m one so I was able to buy that. Just take it because they had to put it on my put it in my book and and give the guy that was. Kinda cool but I mean other CR guns. I can't do it now. It is what it is. How many of those are left out there? And how many am I going to buy most of those get scooped up by other people and in the midst of all of this though? The Rain is awesome. So if you haven't been to the two K. Ranji listening this energy. If you're in San Diego you gotta go it's fabulous range it's out in East County and you can go golfing and go shooting in the same day. Because of great golf courses out there to get two courses within a mile and a half we have the one hundred yard indoor range for long guns we have twenty five yard anything range rifle pistol shotgun and black powder and then we have the two clay target range outside with trap and a five stand overlay which cool. That's my son's favorite part. Is the whole trap thing. I don't blame him the only thing he doesn't like about trap and skeet like that is Susan regularly out shoots him and that's the problem but it is what it is it is what it is. I try to keep the lights on in like that. California's kind of tough. Do you have plans for the future for the range to do new things to it. Once money becomes available. Well we WANNA our next. Probably major thing is to Redo the layout inside the The store because it's a little bit confusing for somebody new to come through. So we we want to have it a little bit more friendly when you come into. We just put some new lighted signs in and upgraded though so they look a lot better than they did before. When you coming up in the evening hours you know where you're going instead of the rope lights that we had on and before. So now they're like It'll be interesting to see how they are with the bugs in the summer but One thing I want to compliment you on debt. I know complimenting you a lot but I I attend ranges as you might imagine ranges. A lot of times had gun stores tend to be populated by good old boy gun. People again is right and show Ken. How does that other than the gun guys? I mean how does that affect customers? You know when I think about it I think you gotta show me watch the gun or they want to go shooting for the first time and they walk into a place and they're not always not always treated with open arms. That makes sense. You guys don't do that. How did you get there? How did you? How did you come upon the idea of being more? What would you call it family friendly maybe or new shooter? Customer service orientated. Listen to what. The customer has my hold. As a management philosophy tried to hire anybody from any industry because they usually already have some type of regiment that they're used to doing so it's very difficult to teach them to be nice. So if I hire somebody who nice at a gun store yet. I should arrange. It's a foreign concept so we try to hire people who have good customer service skills and then teach them more about the firearm stuff and it seems to. It works to as much Ken. Several people have worked for me. Never touched firearm before they came there and now they're deputy sheriff's or they work for PD or some of the other things where they didn't they never had any idea of commercial. Firearm stuffs that some of the customers get upset over that because they may not be as knowledgeable but at least are being treated with respect and they're not being hounded on the whatever. The sales person happens to be hocking that week. With the I use the Glock. You need to use a glock personal bias or Yeah so that makes life easier. I I've always been impressed. By the fact that new shooters come into the range and seemed to be feel feel comfortable there. That's not always the case. Wherever you go I mean a lot of times. You go to the -cational. Yeah we I mean we always treat the new shooters like. Everyone has to start their everyone. Everyone who's ever shot has to start there and it blows our minds when they come in and they say had went to this other range and they wouldn't let us shoot their unless we got some classes. I and it's like okay so in order to go it it just. It defies logic that you wouldn't want to go help them out to be have the best experience again. Well actually you do that. She can do it. I've seen it on the rain helping people that have no idea which the gun the bullet comes out of and you know making them say but have you ever saw me. Thanks because I usually try to stay in my office as much as possible. The I know you're actually new C. You very audibly. Eventually I Joel here. Okay yeah they'll go out be nice storm. What shooting straight and always right on target. This is a gun guy to heap. Podcast.

T. and then that trick well that would be cool if we score the first goal Alexi Coldwell speckled and happen the Rangers to win that game without two Nelson who wants to be that was a huge goal he was a rookie then and he was in office only second year player he was once on your minds when we think about Covalon Justin always start was a better player elsewhere yes he was with the Rangers those who instrument is ninety four but he doesn't he had some moments in nineteen ninety four and he was very useful in ninety four as far as him flourishing into you know a storm a legal the Pittsburgh he was wrong with the paint mazing yeah but those are the guys and the guys you know obviously stocks you know well the star but to me and Anthony Mason unless I guess he needs to be fits the description fall more than the stocks still works I feel like I came out of nowhere man used to be as always he he was not highly recruited he worked his tail on to the NYC roster turn himself into a top notch six man and worked his way in the starting line up but I mean you look at the ninety four team yeah ninety three ninety four Jesse was second as part of the team he was he was he had him in Derek Harper definitely Derrick Thomas and then one last one for the next I mean it was terrible teams with David Lee was very good it was scrappy guy man yeah he was I don't love that example Justin really went away right the team was awful he was probably the best player on the team him on the Robinson I mean that's like a chapter nexus story I gotta be honest I I like to block it from a memory like the idea of me like rehashing two thousand like eight two thousand and nine eight games very tough very very tough that would always be a point here you know like the NBA season will come back and be college you watch a bunch of games watching X. for a few weeks and you realize they're gonna win twenty five games and by January February I'm all dialed in with queues now watch college basketball night after night it's like all the next bill is fifty plus games again then I would say the interest level for me really peak together with an ex when it brought in a more Stoudemire that is when the next became a team that you can watch night in night out for eighty two games India they have a goal in two thousand ten eleven eleven twelve twelve thirty which was the best season they've had what twenty years crazy thing about ethnic team that kind of was ahead of its time with the way they were shooting a three point shot yeah I remember taking calls doing shows that yet next take too many thirds they take too many trips that was the way to win that played melt the stretch for that Tyson Chandler and Eddy surrounded everybody with three point shooters weather was Kate was J. R. Smith and Steve no backups Raymond Felton the phone your neck basketball Hamid playoffs since crazy absolutely crazy is it a liberal Jimmy up next the joins us on a fellowship Hey John I don't Jim surviving man hope you hang in there yeah me too bad I wish you nothing but the best of luck and good health man I appreciate that for all of our audience as for you need a gym all set my friend all right so yeah I mean rob beat me to the punch you brought it up lately but I grew up during that so I don't want to kind of tell my age but the long time now doesn't seem really that long time goes by very quickly but but you Goring number ninety one I mean I don't know they just hung is is Jersey the raptors at the Coliseum I mean it took twenty five years to do it but if you look back and I lived through it they made a trade on March tenth nineteen eighty the islanders traded Billy Harris straight up with a defenseman for Butch Goring right they win the next twelve games of the regular season and then they when they run off four straight Stanley cups and they still hold the record for the longest streak in sports history with nineteen straight playoff wins that's incredible absolutely your life right now not all believes in you would want to talk about dynasties if you know your dad is a dynasty that let's be honest with the way the Stanley Cup playoffs go down Jim win never going to see a team I think our lifetime won four straight cops whenever you get screwed in the fifth Stanley Cup and this is not anything I know it's just long island and that you know everyone loves the Rangers but if you look in history the NFL excuse me the NHL the change the playoff format for that season because they love Gretzky okay and the islanders had to play three four and five on the road for the NHL to save money on the traveling costs pretty admitted Oilers that was their excuse and then they never repeated that playoff format format again the hours will be up and hurt but it's a that's a great point you know I don't know about that and I know my heart I was like I was about thirteen years old I believe it the drive five Long Island was on fire I mean ask anybody that grew up on Long Island let's go out a chance on the warrant it was insane and if you will back up which Goring he wasn't a great you know you what you know policy trashy a Gillies pop and they get all the credit go look at his four years in that playoff run he he scored seventy two points excuse me sixty two points in seventy eight games and he was a second line player he was the glue of the New York Islanders Nicole on the missing piece the final piece and he doesn't get any credit but he was a phenomenal phenomenal hockey player what is it like in the biggest games he showed up that's what I'm looking for great great example and that's why when I started the show today you know you we didn't spend a whole lot of time reminiscing with not a whole lot of action going on and in many you know regards you talk about the great player whether it's a Michael Jordan whether it's a Derek Jeter whether it's a Tom Brady you know the piazza the list goes on and on but like a Butch Goring story fascinates me and then the other guy fascinates me hello we sold like these guys that were blue guys it had big moments that Butch Goring for more important like a sole hope per se but you know on a great team whether it's just getting to the playoffs to winning a conference title winning a championship you need those cool guys and they got to step up and a true fans know who they'll and and the only other guy you would have more relevance you know he's played in your lifetime who now in retrospect he just retired is Curtis Granderson and the numbers don't stand out at yeah although we had some very big ears it just once and he had some big year at a hundred nineteen RBIs for the Yankees I remember driving back to back forty Homer seasons yeah yeah I remember driving home from the beach like a couple of nights and it was just annoying because you hear John sterlings with the great email chat every single it was like a couple weeks like maybe a month it was like a guaranteed Granderson was was doing damage every single night and you know he doesn't get you know you got the core for and everything else he had a good run with him he and it's not his fault he was a damn good player with the Yankees but he was a player on teams that on the retrieved in the playoffs therefore you're not going to be receiving the same way when is it was a terrific Jackie he was terrific Matt he was a damn good to try to address a great career but I mean you're not going to stack him up with guys who are part of championship teams you just not what have you on the Yankees from two thousand ten the like two thousand and fifteen odds are not very fondly remembered for seventeen here on this Thursday morning it's J. J. after died Jackie Stansky right here on the phone eight seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six trap the three weeks away and one quarterbacks make it pretty clear he's willing to do the media rounds is this by design we'll dive at lot more unsung hero conversation come right back let's say you just bought a house bad news is your one step closer to becoming your parents which means you're going to start telling your kids to clean up before the cleaning lady comes doesn't make sense but you're the parents.

"And joining me once again. Is Robert Emily. He's the CEO at Dragos Rob. It's always great to have you back. your team at Drako's recently published a series of White papers and and they were about purple teaming. ICS networks. This is an interesting topic for us to cover here together. Take us through. What are you sharing here Ah that was definitely a collection of work by a lot of folks endure company. But I'll I'll pay special attention to Austin Scott. He was the one that really Spearheaded a lot of that and I think when we have customers in community members come to us they were asked about getting into their environments and doing some level of services. Hasn't I usually you do that. Does Land Land. What's going on and usually get requests like I wanNA Pentastar WanNA threat high or I want you know this? I WANNA red team in trying to ask them like what you actually want. They might know the words but sometimes the value propositions are not aligned with what they're asking for too like. Well what do you actually you want. And it's like well I wanNA take an adversarial mindset to my defense but I don't really want to exploit vulnerabilities or emulate a threat. I really want to Like see my gaps also improved my security is explicitly against kind of that adversarial mindset. And so it's kind of a mixture of the blue team ops in the red team that's the completely unimagined of named purple teaming. We're seeing this larger security community entity now really take hold and I I like the little movement. It's it's not anything different than what a lot of practice has been doing the year. But you're identifying calling it something and drawing attention to do it and again the mindset is GonNa treat this like the adversary not GonNa go down the list. Just focus on compliance or checklist or quote unquote best practices or frameworks. But what are the adversaries really doing. Almost taking in that Intel driven approach but also. Let's put a real hyper blue team. Spent then on this of incentive going in having to do the red team engagement to get to the answer. Why don't we almost come up with hypotheses and work through them and put the security around it as we go? Oh and so. It's this beautiful mixture of hunting with red teaming with Like actual security controls while you rule it out and I think that's really critical Glenn Industrial Environments a lot of the things that you might want to do from a red teaming or pen testing perspective you might not want to do on your gas. Turbine right. And so it's it's it's kind of getting to the point of being adversarial without introducing the same risks and those sensitive environments with still getting to the end result and a big focus on on defense. Do lose anything by not having those guardrails between red and blue. I think there's definitely pros and cons on each and every one of them. I'm one of the things that can be done really well with a red team and there's a lot of value in doing is when you're really emulating the threat. You're not just running like NASA analysis and looking for vulnerabilities we read teaming. You're emulating the threat. You're not just testing your security controls. You're testing your defense. You in what I mean by that is people. Oh a good read. Team is testing the defense personnel and their training. In in my opinion. It's not can I get past the firewall wall. Needy are it's is the SOCK GONNA. CB is the instant response going to actually work. Are they going to be ready for me. And and I'm emulating leading the adversary like there's there's a lot of value in that and that testing of the defensive people in real time is not what you get verbal team you do get that in red team but because removing a little further over to the right and purple teaming. You're getting much more collaboration. And kind of education throughout the process process versus. What sometimes come off as a test? Even though that's not always fair there's a lot of teams do educate along the way. But hopefully that's kind of clear on the difference of I'm going to emulate the threat be adversarial and we're GONNA test you and you're going to learn from that versus I'm going to think Adva- serially show you what we could do. But we're going to hand hold each other throughout this process and put a hyper focus on the defense throughout it right Robert. Bloomfield's CEO Mark Zandi pointed out that losses from crop failures. which many perhaps most instances come down to failures in crop scouting 'cause about four billion dollars in losses annually in US commodity crops alone and mistimed harvests which crop scouting effects directly results in about five percent plant loss each year? So what's all this got to do with cybersecurity you. These skeptical listener will ask and quite rightly because the the answer is nothing not directly. But it's an interesting application of deep learning to a very labor intensive human task and an application in which the hype doesn't it seemed to have outrun the reality and of course cybersecurity also requires the sort of labor intensive intervention of human experts. Who Skills are also in short supply to Santa offered a prediction that he acknowledged would be controversial but which has audience didn't regard as crazy either? In five years he said deep learning would enable able automation of all the image inspection tasks that now require scarce human expertise feel free to draw the analogies to scarce human watch standing expertise not in cybersecurity. There are for more than one hundred fifty point solution tools on the market and they can be difficult and time consuming to configure. It can take weeks to correlate their silos results and they tend to deliver many false positives. The problem is that APSECT. "US Industry Group came under cyber attack by Chinese intelligence services earlier earlier this year as Sino American trade tensions grew the association says it hired an outside cybersecurity firm to investigate and stop the breach neither neither the US government nor the Chinese embassy has so far commented but the story is still developing in advance of next month's elections both of the UK's two largest parties are considering the risk of disruption by cyberattack. Mondays cyber attack against Britain's Labor Party was repeated yesterday Reuters who says the Conservative Party sustained its own dos attack yesterday while sources suggest. This attack came from a different actor. This incident also looks unsophisticated. It and minor a Tory spokeswoman when asked about it said she had nothing to offer on the subject which she sent she hadn't heard of that suggests that neither party was particularly clearly seriously afflicted Labor did qualify the original report saying that yesterday's was indeed sophisticated and thwarted by their robust bust security and party. Leader Jeremy Corbyn expressed his own concern that upcoming elections might be conducted under the threat of cyber attack but the apparent ease with which labor shrugged off the attack suggests that original characterization of the distributed denial of service. Attack as unsophisticated. Where probably closer to the mark? Doc Computing reports that cloudflare which mitigated the attack on Labour's networks called the attack. Nothing special and said it was the sort of thing we deal with daily another observation quoted in computing characterized the incident as nothing more than what you would expect to see on a regular basis. It looked like someone board in their bedroom room with about net the independent sites former G. C. H. Q.. Hunt Show Brian Lord now with Pgi to the effect that Labor could have been hit by a nation state But reading what he actually told the paper makes his take less alarming. There's an a priori possibility that a nation state could run dumbed down attack for sure and sure or criminals and others will often use Diaz as misdirection to distract security teams from something more serious but again that's a matter of a priority possibility. Something something to consider of course but keep calm and carry on. So nothing special apparently just the normal skid background noise but we do like board in the bedroom with about net. It's a variation on the familiar picture of the big guy in his parent's basement but maybe British skids are different in that way from their transatlantic dick cousins as we head quickly and relentlessly into the holiday. Shopping season retailers are looking to their websites and e commerce is primary. The avenues for sales impervious recently published a report citing the growing threat of bots interfering with commerce sites Edward Roberts works in Product Marketing for bought doc management at the main. Finding that people should understand. Is that You'll website lies to you and the the users are on there are fake users users and they are fake in that they are bought S- But they are not benign and they are on your site for a reason so they could be doing a multitude of things like scraping scraping. You'll prices trying to use credentials to get into a any accounts that you have. They're trying to steal gift card balances all manner the things To try and exploit your business so whatever functionality you put on that website there is some bottle some peaceable nation that is trying to abuse it and typically typically What we saw in this report was seventeen? Point seven percent of all traffic on all of the websites that we covered and it was over over two hundred Seventeen point seven percent of that traffic was bad bots so these abouts that you do not want on there you know. They're all good lots like google that you would willingly have. But it's a he's a bad ones who are doing the various things that I mentioned someone running a website. How do you differentiate between the good and the bad and try to put controls on the bad bunch? That's yeah that's the. That's the big challenge is that you know you can use your various security tools that you have you might use your your wife and block certain. Ip addresses this is in certain countries and And do things manually and try and Clean your traffic that way but in the end there are there are management solutions. That are out there that are built to actually automatically clean your traffic from with these bad balts And so you know that's the ultimate ultimate solution but you know there are techniques you can do to you know to block them on your own as well. So what were some of the key take homes. In the the research that you did hear the wide array of things that box can be tasked with doing on your site is is is larger across ECOMMERCE sites because they have more different styles styles of functionality and information available on their websites than other other websites so for example competitors scraping oil prices So that's one group of people who are trying to damage you in the marketplace by making sure that they beat you price wise or they understand what sales or promotions. Because you're offering or what delivery discounts you've put in place so there is a a scraping of of inflammation and if you have thousands and thousands dozens of products that you sell on your e commerce site there people scraping each one of those. And you know that's volume of traffic that you were not really expecting acting to to deliver to box to your competitors so it's it's definitely affect your competitive place in the market. The other ones are things. He's like what they call grinch spots or sneak dots. So these are if you have rare items you see them in sneakers. There are limited edition sneakers that are made available by various sneaker companies. And if you have those made available it's very similar ticketing. There's a finite number of them so bought a used to try and claim that inventory it before anybody else can get them and then if they can get them out the list price And the demand is high enough they can then resell them somewhere else on the secondary can dairy market. So you have these you know. You're you're making the customer experience for somebody who wants to get those limited limited edition items more difficult for them your lead into customer dissatisfaction and they having to pay more pay a premium as well for that for that disatisfaction. Another range of ones dog gift card balances thoughts can be used to enumerate through the numbers of those gift cards and see which ones have balances and if they find ones that have balances they can then use that that number number to buy things and suddenly you find that a customer has got a gift cut that no longer has a balance on it but they thought it had a certain amount of money on it so the ability not of bolts to to look at. What's on your website and understand what took what they can go after him? What they can exploit is really wide and so those are a few examples? Is that some of the findings that we had in the in the report thinking about it in terms of what's available on your website. It's how could that information be used by somebody against me It's it's It's amazing how many different use cases we see But I I think that's a testament to the cat and mouse. Part of this is that there is so much information that people find valuable that they are willing to invest money to actually Launch these spots in the economic surrounded Sunday are in their favor so that not there for a benign reason. I think that some people in the past of thought that they were benignly. They're just it's just internet junk that's going around And he's just a simple simple mated script but really the majority of it is actually quite sophisticated and they're trying to attack certain part of your website for a particular reason that's Edward Roberts from impervious. "That state run energy company. Pemex loses around three point five billion billion with a B dollars a year in gas theft in. So what the new president wants to do is. He wants to crack down on that. And he wants to close the pipelines. So he can deal with that problem until he's basically using massive tanker trucks to transport the gas. But take a trucks are big, but they don't make up for pipeline. So when these thieves are stealing oil, they're siphoning it off these these fuel pipelines. Is a sense that by shutting these pipelines down this might actually stop the fees. That's the calculation of trying to start on the pipelines. I think get to the crux of the problem. But does president over door have the support of the public on this? So in theory. Yes, the Mexican public is not a fan of gas that they want that stopped the country losing billions of dollars a year because of it in practicality do Mexicans want to be waiting in line since four in the morning to get gas in their vehicles or not be able to get gas at all. No. And so this I think is a real risk for over. God. Yes. He wants to get rid of guests theft. But he is rapidly going to lose public support. If this crisis continues, and I think it's going to be a real below Emma for him to see how this plays out in. What to do any sense of how long this shutdown is going to go on for this gasoline pipeline shut down and is gasoline just going to be moved by truck. From now on initially Lopez over the doors administration said it would last around five days, then he came out swinging and said, it would basically he wasn't going to back down. And he would keep the pipeline that. Down as long as needed. And I think now they're backtracking a little bit because they see that this is turning into a real crisis for Lopez. So by Monday or Tuesday will no more any possibility. This could all felt north of the border. Yes, it's definitely possible that this gas crisis could be felt north of the border in mass because there's a lot of trade in commerce between the US and Mexico in a lot of that trade happens via truck, so if you are sending a goods from the US to Mexico and your big four Wheeler or your sixteen Wheeler can't get gas. How are they going to get that merchandise to Mexico? So this could have a an impact beyond just here in Mexico shutdown of a different kind in Mexico gasoline pipeline shutdown reporter, Emily green in Mexico City.

"My best reporters not just any town within, the state Very very talented very objective Don't call him liberal media guy, plays straight. Down the middle chases down good. Stories reports on good stories you tip me off on this because he knew I would, be interested, in it Joe Yes. Sir Ramon doesn't. Wanna do he's interest very interested and he wants to look, at it but he doesn't wanna do the negotiations over the air because he don't want somebody to. Swoop in so we'll talk to you off air. But. Purchase, okay So I got emails during the break? From, people who said, this kind of predatory practice is. Is standard, operating procedure for Pimek's now. I know, you're aggravated with this. Particular incident did you have. Any reason, to believe. They might behave. In the, manner you allege they behaved in no. Because, you, know we have a good track, record, you. Know loadmaster university of rigs worldwide I mean. We deal, with, Russia we deal with Middle East we deal we can't we deal worldwide I mean we built rigs all, over the, world well no but I'm asking, about the Mexicans yes sir and it just kind of prelude into that you know we we developed trust and we do risk management for, as understanding you the potential for them to default in you know we had open line of, communication but you know what made us move forward with this is that they had a backing by. BVD a Deutsche Bank which were finance here so. Because P may only hill twenty percent of the product which was the down payment that they gave us. At the beginning of the contract and then everything. Else is supported by the the BBB endorsed Bank bonds that they were supporting so why can't you? Call, those bonds because, those bonds were cancelled after three. Months of, non-activity by Pemex Pemex is. In I, guess sole authority on. Those bonds where they get. Their their, decision would. Would not release. The monies, to loadmaster and through the the negotiations. Like, we, had an addendum where BBB and, Deutsche, Bank. Had agreed four down payments and where we. Show up, to, the meeting everybody's at the round table except for Pemex signed that didn't impress to receive these payments because, there was, damages incurred into the original contract, that if we did not delivered rig within a certain period of time yeah the Kansas contract cancelled but on the Pemex side if there. Was not A platform available for us to install rig which is, part of obligation to install it offshore that we could collect funds and delivered a. Rake and it would be Appleby Houston disciplined door yard where we're building in that so we. Know that they manipulated the process to where they try to collect the bomb before they cancelled the contract and be once, we had, everything worked out with all the finance ears and everybody else then they sign not the show for meeting and then once that started happening we ran out of fun and we could not get any type of find anything because everybody seems Pemex aka process of, of what we're fixing to go on and you know in the sad part about it is that these two rigs or one that you know that has our immediate attention but there was actually another contract which, was, with PPI which is. Their purchasing Pemex Pershing anything, here in the Houston For another thirty three point five million dollars on. A land route, that we're building that we have, partially constructed I would say forty to fifty percent constructed that they welched on that, one too so you know their MO is hey we'll, get a contract with you and. We'll stick with the tab And you think that they would let me ask you this so they put up a. Forty three million dollar down payment which was about twenty percent on the deal and. Then how much, do you have, invested, beyond the forty three million to get to eighty three percent completion For what we've invested I personally and with third parties I would say we're. In the neighborhood of eighty five to ninety million dollars so, you've probably got a hundred and thirty one. Hundred and forty million into this project oh yes easy did that's how you arrived at the price for Ramon Yes okay Do y'all not have any sort? Of. A no you said they cancelled the bonds but Dion not have any sort of insurance or liquidated damages or. Anything for, I mean I can't imagine you guys do this. Every day the JAL are going to be extended this far and let them put you in. That. Situation At the time when we. Were doing, to negotiate on the contract because of DVD and. Gorge Bank guarantees we did not pursue any third party additional expenses for insurance on the contract You, made a statement a minute ago that they that other other third party entities And I don't know who who that I, I don't know if that's if that's what kind of funding facilities at his banks our investors or whatever Suppliers but. It. Sounds to me like you're suggesting that within, the industry it is known that Pimek's and or the Mexican government engages in this, sort of practice yes So if they're engaging in this sort of practice, over a period of time it strikes me that people wouldn't want to do business with. Them Yes I think this one this one because of the value, I mean obviously they were small contracts with different suppliers worldwide. In definitely in Texas here and stuff that's been you holding the tab on this but it's just the magnitude of the value of this one and then the amount of jobs in the personal lives, has been affected over the last two to three years, on this, project that unbelievable how many companies that. You know that you can go to and you know you'd. Have that handshake and everything is you, know we get it done on a handshake now everything you got lawyers and accountants and everything in there and at the end of the day the. Cost is driven to a point, where we, can't be competitive in, the market any longer because we don't have that that that supply chain anymore and, it goes, back to the you know all of other suppliers their supply chains gone and the only way you're gonna resolve that it's either a you. Know you go bankrupt and get out of business or be you struggling trying, to pay these people back and deal with integrity with our suppliers So y'all are y'all are described Greg wriggles article as the lead engineering player Wacky? Engineering, manufacturing okay, but this is your, project. Yes so y'all design the project yes it's a it's a loadmaster design Rick it's it's a platform creek down platform. Rake that's built exclusively for these types of platforms in the Gulf of Mexico The y'all do, the fabrication yourselves. Or. Do you do you outsource? That. We outsource percentage of that? Depending, on our, ability when I say, ability. And our our job planning in the in the the people I have available at that particular time in our shop 'cause, this magnitude of this rig you know, I have a footprint that's you know roughly twenty six meters by fifty six meters. And I have to have, an area that hard packed. At a withstand the twenty eight. Fifty metric tons of. Loading and air so we we actually went to the Kennedy yard and we put in a pad site to basic replicate what I have off shore so when I install it I. Can function tests commission anyone take it offshore, and reinstalled it just. Simply reassembly daddy goes, back and he becomes a commission rig? In very short period of, time because our contract. Lobby Gatien gives us roughly thirty five days to put this big structure together offshore so you disassemble it at the splendour yard take it I guess by boat out to the rig. And then reassemble it there we we take it to a staging area in Mexico whether it'd be a port of of a. P mix, or like the focus or somewhere there, that we can stage it at because we have limitations to access to the platform. That are Pemex norms for, me not to be able. To get any closer than ten. Meters and I have. Boom issues with my cranes and I have weight issues and limitations out there because I rig Joe John hold on hold on just a moment Ramon wants to talk to you off. Air but maybe buying this thing and we, hold on Ars.

"Ohio Senator Rob Portman will introduce Brett cavenaugh at his, confirmation hearings which will begin, next week Joe Yes sir so are you with this company that FOX twenty-six, is Greg grew told me, about Yes sir I'm a VP of manufacturing service over here All right hold. On just a second let me pull this, article up. The story was, about pretty big rig that I guess and. By, extension. The Mexican. Government will not pay, you for yes sir all right while? I'm, pulling. Out why don't you tell us what happened Back in, two thousand fourteen we signed a contract with a with teammates directly with the Pemex organization in Mexico and do that contract. We sold them unique design rig flair. Drilling operation down in Mexico? With that the design, incorporated. Several, unique designed, to fit onto their efforts civic platform which makes the rigs basically a design that meets. Only their criteria so we can't, sell it anywhere else in the world, it's it's for their type of platform, so is, their specs sir it's, their unique specs yes search unique specs, unique, specs, consist of being. Able, to drill in. Certain well. Patterns on platforms out there. They'd have a fixed platform side. Which range from twenty three meters fifty six, meters to. Twenty six bucks, fifty three meters which are different patterns which. They, grill. A three. By three three four, three by five well pattern on them So with those, specific. Design, they came, to us and we had ready produced one rig that is working successively successfully score Pemex. To another company which is Latina, so we have history that was the, first generation we sold a Pemex the, second generation, are first generation we, sold to Latinas second-generation we sold to, Pemex, which, they ordered directly. Support, their drilling operation With. That they gave us a down payment on a two hundred and twenty plus million dollar contract of roughly forty three million dollars to, start the production of these rigs we produce these rakes we reached. The milestone of eighty three percent in and seventy three percent on the to rig with payments that. We receive from them through the process of being on schedule and on. Time they came to us and they ask for, a delayed because, the platforms, that we were going to install the results we're not yet fabricated to their, specifications or, they were not installed so we could install these rigs. Because basically what we have, offshore is they have a structural platform I don't be ever been actual platforms out there that you wish around we, actually install a. Rig on top of that we install basically you know three thousand metric. Tons of steel on top of it and make it a. You know a photo, out there with a combination for leaving crew And all operations for drilling operations out there for. Much towards cement bay. Right and so forth so through the process after they come to us about delaying the project we accommodated them but then as the project continued to Christine and we got. Closer to finishing the contract we found out through the grapevine before they actually terminated the contract and we had a performance bond is, roughly seventy two million dollars that we had put out there for. Four to cover you know any delays or to cover us our inability to produce three well before. They terminated the contract which is in December of two thousand sixteen day. Active tried to collect on a performance bond of. Seventy two million, dollars before, they ever even terminated the contract which in my mind was creating a net, profit of, thirty million dollars well they want basis where they try Trying to collect on the performance bond if you had eight performed, they said that they were trying to collect on the performance bond because we had not met the production schedule that was set, forth and we all. We have you know numerous documents from third parties from verifications that the, product was on, time to spec and as the the negotiations, continue deteriorate they started come up with these, lady petty reasons on the on that they sent us on the, contract will termination notice that they said these are reasons for contract will termination and they were all petty you know it's, like you don't have a stairway here you don't have the right air compressor or you don't have the, right number air compressors and all this stuff that we fully agreed to a comedy but negotiation process and through the delays we also had an addendum that we, had to go shaded with the third party over there which tend to. Financial, group was BBB a endorsed Bank We had a denim that was actually agreeable by everybody everybody's at the table, except for today we raise your signed Pemex chalk and they, said by the way we're not going. To sign the agreement so from there we've been going through political channels and now into arbitration, we haven't gone to legal channel of a lawsuit yet Like you know. We're at within now after two years of two and a half years. Actually negotiating with them trying to come to a resolution You. Know with all the companies involved in in debt out there we're roughly over seventy three million dollars debt with just local suppliers here in Houston that's not counting international. Suppliers that we bought equipment that came from. Norway or, came from the Middle East or came from Canada or wherever else we secured him from so this is a worldwide impact for us you know I probably hill company with two proprietors here at the company and you know us going from eighty man operation here to roughly six people now and the amount of jobs do all the other vendors and suppliers that we had out there that you know that actually gone bankrupt or you know that are on the verge of. Having to, go bankrupt or just not able. To take any other processes are jobs, out there, because we don't have the financial backing from Bank I. Mean we lost our line of credit we lost everything out there other than you, know, we're scraping, by with the fuel projects because we don't we don't want to do, is have to go into bankruptcy in this go into In comes Pemex through the back door and buying it for pennies on the dollar you think that's their strategy I that's my feelings obviously because they have no track record of doing this.
