"District advisor because we're seeing that on TV, and we're seeing the crowds, therefore, going downtown Milwaukee. Um, but the thing is attention to that area brings attention to the region as a whole. Every time you see one of those televised broadcast and you see the cross Lots of people that lots of passionate fans to say the least for the Milwaukee Bucks. It gives a certain perception of the city of Milwaukee. And that's a good perception one with passionate sports fans, a vibrant downtown life, something that certainly has been done building up over the years for those who maybe be more populated like myself and and seeing the progress of Dear District. We know that you know if a person comes to Milwaukee if they see dear District, Spicer for him to get that attention, they want to come here. You're more likely to take a trip up north. Maybe they want to go check up lap checkout Lambeau Field that they're sports fans go to water Park, Capital world and the Dells. It's very far reaching. You're not just talking Milwaukee when you're talking about coming to this area. We're talking with Margaret, not check a reporter for the Milwaukee Business Journal about the economic impact of the Bucks playoff run Here on Reportersnotebooks on WTMJ. Margaret. Another thing I found really interesting in your piece in the Milwaukee Business Journal this past week was the fact that this is Milwaukee's moment in the national spotlight, and they're not wasting it. Peggy Williams Smith visit Milwaukee said that they're actually sending some targeted ads into some areas not too far out not nationwide spots because they were pricey, but Sending some targeted ads to some areas nearby like Indiana, saying, Hey, come visit Milwaukee, and they're airing them during the game when all the eyeballs are already going to be on the city. That's right. Yeah, Mr Marquis, created to specific commercials for the DNC and like we talked about certainly weren't able to use them, at least in the capacity they had planned to in 2020. So, yes, they're using them now and like you mentioned a regional marketing that's been the push. The main reason for that. It's a It's a very obvious one in its cost effective, Peggy William Smith said for the Eastern Conference finals, it costed $290,000 for a 32nd TV spot. So instead of those big box as it were at this monkey's looking at these regional areas with the idea, if if it's a drive to area like you mentioned Indiana You can check out these promotions. They can see the broadcast the Milwaukee again as we're talking this positive perception and then play a trip, Maybe later in the summer or early fall. Milwaukee also got some free marketing right with the whole terrible city thing, And it seemed like everybody blew up over that. And then everyone wanted to show that were not a terrible city. So they almost got some free marketing out of that one, too. Yeah, that's right. I mean, we talk about the idea of any press is good press in Milwaukee certainly took that to heart. And it was so interesting. You know, in the a couple hours after the ESPN's first take program, where that comment was said, You saw so many people, people so many leaders in the city whether it's you know the mayor, whether it's Peter Fagan, or whether it's just people, nonprofits, restaurant owners and instead of it, you know, maybe responding back in the neck of the way it was very welcoming. We talk about that Midwest hospitality, so instead, it was Hey, You think it's terrible? Come here, we'll give you a tour will prove you wrong. So it's exactly it's. It's changing that perception of Milwaukee that maybe some people in other parts of the country still might have about the city. Margaret. We're almost out of time. But I know you've been doing a lot of work covering this beat this past week for the Milwaukee Business Journal, so I wanted to ask you anything else You found this week in the course of the reporting that our listeners might be interested in. Sure, I mean this week. Gosh, it has been such a fun week of bucks coverage. Anyone who's a Wisconsin sports fan knows what as historic time. This is So while this may be not be related to the visit Milwaukee story was Peggy William Smith, one that I found really interesting. I had more working on this week as well was related to the tickets itself, and you know, we're talking games three game for moving on, You know, fingers crossed for Bucks fans get to that Game six and Game seven. Um, if we have games here, walking, such as this Sunday or looking later in the week next week, local ticket brokers are saying Don't be afraid of some of these headlines are coming out there about $30,000 tickets. We're seeing some of that with a court side, of course. So I had a great story. It's on walkie Business Journal's website about local ticket brokers as of Wednesday morning, the average ticket price 607 $100 certainly a little bit different than a regular season game but attainable for most fans and offered some great advice as well. For those who are interested in going to safely get a ticket to the game, and, of course, they've opened up Pfizer Forum for away Games as well for viewing party. Margaret, not shocked reporter for the Milwaukee Business Journal. Been on this beat all week. We appreciate you joining us to break it down. Go bucks. Let's get a win. Thanks for having me so we know the bucks. Being in the finals is.

"The scenes of the stories of the week. Welcome back to the reporter's Notebook on WTMJ. Thanks for joining us for this week's edition of Reporter's Notebook on WTMJ. The show where we take you inside the biggest stories of the week by speaking with the people who covered them. I'm Alex Crow. The Bucks might be struggling in the NBA Finals right now, But just being there means big business in Milwaukee and the surrounding areas. Margaret Nah, Check is a reporter for the Milwaukee Business Journal. She's been covering this beat and joins us now, Margaret. Thanks for joining us. Thanks for having me Margaret. You spoke with Peggy William Smith, who is the president and CEO of Visit Milwaukee. What did you learn about how businesses in and around Milwaukee are capitalizing on this deep playoff run? Yeah, I mean, I gosh, what a year. It has been when you think back to to the start of the NBA season to where we are now, certainly on the court. We could talk for hours about how the box have been able to capitalize fair, but it's It's so much more than that. I mean, starting by looking at Fiserv Forum and the surrounding dear District. We started the season with zero fans Now, here we are in July, up to full capacity and quite the journey in between getting from, you know, 25% all the way to where we are now. So we're seeing that right in the deer distracted the fans. They're going for different businesses, all the surrounding businesses being able to take advantage of the extra revenue. Something a lot of people are talking about is so important in Milwaukee number one Covid 19 pandemic recovery but also number two The DNC didn't happen in the way anyone expected it to, at least in 2020, with being postponed and then predominantly virtual, so this is certainly a very big moment for businesses to be able to now generates some capital visit Milwaukee. They are using the 2018 NBA finals in Cleveland. Their numbers to kind of take an estimate at how much revenue will be generated from these and that's $3.7 million per home game. That's what Cleveland reported in 2018. So that's what this walk is kind of predicting as well when we get into game 34 and potentially beyond with Milwaukee, so lots going on lots of people, lots of businesses being able to take advantage of this very historic time in Milwaukee. I thought it was really interesting how they're basing their numbers of what Cleveland did a number of years ago. Another thing that I found interesting during this interview that you did with Peggy Williams Smith was the quote It reaches every We're talking about the economic development and impact that happens when the Bucks make the finals. What is that phrase It reaches everywhere. Really mean? Can you provide some insight on that for us? Yeah, That's right. Peggy Williams. Smith did say that it really reaches everywhere. As I mentioned..

"For you to raise funds for your business. What was the website again? Www. At Milwaukee. 3 65 dot com. So, unfortunately, your business you're not able to sign up to take part anymore. That part is closed. Correct? No, it was it was limited. The 1st 50. I'm sorry we gave $1000 to the 1st 50. We have over 100 events and you can continue to add Lovett the events right now, and people you know, are selling out their events. I also understand that there's gonna be a grand prize winner as well of those 1st 50 businesses who signed up correct every business who signs up is put in to win the $5000 correct so everyone gets $1000 but one of those businesses and how is that determined? Peggy? It's just gonna be a random drawing. I love it right. So anyone who submits the information as to how they did on their virtual event would then be entered into the drawing to be able to win the $5000. You know, when I first heard about giving fists and obviously have been promoted here on news Talk 11 30 wi ascent as well as our sister stations here at I heart media. I thought, what a great idea to help some of these businesses who could use it. But then the more I learned about it, Peggy, I also took a step back and decided. This is also something that's good for the community as well. It's an opportunity. As we said, with weather we've had recently with lack of opportunity to enjoy all the fine things that our city has to offer. This is a chance to take a sneak peek in the committee experience a few things that we otherwise would have ever thought of to do. Oh, my goodness, so money behind the scenes tour is that you probably wouldn't have been afforded the opportunity to be able to do if Businesses were open and like on a day on a day when it's snowing, and there's nothing for you to be able to do to be able to, you know, go online and join an event that can either teach you something or make you feel good. It's a pretty awesome It's a pretty awesome idea. You are familiar. I'm assuming with state Fair, having been a lifelong resident creep up to, in fact, that my former cream puff eating champion Oh, that's a whole another story for a whole another day, But I've been going since I was a kid. I lost Donut Smackdown Challenge, So I'm not gonna I'm not gonna. I'm not gonna take you take you out on that one. But I will tell you that state fairs doing one and they're doing one with Bobby Frist. Oh, sure, is not Love going to state Fair and seeing Bobby Fris. I mean, it's a staple in your summer that McCurdy are the two check boxes for every summer. Time of Thank you See every year at summer fest, right, So you know, there's just things that are going to remind you of what it's like to be normal. You know, we've got something the North South Club is offering an ax throwing master class. Virtually virtually on February night. How does this happen? You're gonna be able to see the staffer show you how to be Milwaukee's best ax thrower. I have no idea how they're doing it. You're gonna have to sign up. It doesn't cost anything to sign up to Zuma. Yes, that's that's what we want. So these events each have a price tag on anywhere from $5 to whatever they want All very reason. Cage. You in giving back to these organizations. We were hoping that the $1000 wouldn't be the only money raised. We wanted to give people Reason to donate to these businesses they may not be able to do take out They may not be able to go online and shopping and event. They may not, You know. How do you support Event venue that's closed right now. This is a way for this was a way for us to encourage these business owners to create an event so that someone could give back to them. How do you support an event planner right now? If you can't have event right challenge. Peggy William Smith, the president, CEO of Visit Milwaukee here on Saturday. Spotlight News Talk 11 30 W Y es, and we talked about Costa Rican culinary. We've talked about ax throwing. What are some of the categories Generally speaking, Obviously, you can't get into every single individual business that's participating in giving fast. "What is this all about? But I have a better appreciation, not just because of the college Rob on the beauty it has on Milwaukee's lakefront, but there's other pockets in the city. It's well and when we say Milwaukee, let's be clear and I know you're from visit Milwaukee. We really are talking about a lot of the surrounding communities as well. The focus is the city itself and really downtown. But there's so much been happening in the suburbs as well. That is an offshoot of the success that The city has had in this this Renaissance period in the last sold 15 20 years Well, I would say that our focus is really on the four county area. So Milwaukee Washington Ozaki and, um Um, to walk. Shaw? Yes. Thank you. Lucky shot. I almost forgot about walking show. I didn't mean to forget about work. Um, you know And we don't just focus on downtown. There are so many different areas to explore in the entire city of Milwaukee. We have 191 neighborhoods and within those neighborhoods, we have such rich culture rich history. Rich diversity. You know, there wouldn't be. It wouldn't be a visit to Milwaukee now without hitting up. The Bronzeville collective or heading down the historic King bid dry, You know, there's just the Sherman Phoenix. Um there's so much that we have to offer and it's not just traditional art anymore. In terms of the amazing art we have at the Art museum, but we also have AH lot of street art that's gained a lot of national international attention. We have a Award winning film festival. There's so much that Milwaukee has to offer that you can't find and I know you said at the beginning that were Milwaukee's are Chicago's Little brother. But I like to think of Chicago as Milwaukee's little sister. Well played well played the president and CEO visit Milwaukee. Peggy William Smith here on news talk 11 30 Wi San. I'll tell family have a lot family, North Carolina and friends around the country. Look when you come to Milwaukee, especially in the summer, but really year round There is always always something to do. It may not be your number one choice. Let's say your sports fan, You know, the box might not be playing it fighting to get we're talking pre covert. Obviously, we're gonna get into that here in just a few minutes. But there's always something to do after the weather we had earlier this week. You're looking to get out of the house and Take your mind off of everything that's been thrown at us in the last 12 months. Then, with the snow being thrown in her face as we're stumbling our driveways. That's definitely the case. And Milwaukee is one of those cities that reminds me of where I went to college Whitewater. Just big enough that you got it. You get a lot of the big time amenities to the school, but you don't get lost in the shuffle. You can walk along What do they call it? The main drag there in Whitewater, going to class and run into classmates run into friends run into people that you maybe haven't seen in a while, because again, it's just big enough to enjoy. To have a lot of the amenities that a lot of smaller schools may not offer a lot of smaller cities in this case but still enjoy feel like you're going to run into a next door neighbor, Untold high school roommate while you're enjoying a great meal or a show, and that's I think part of the charm of Milwaukee. Well, I think also part of the charm is first of all, we're within a six hour driving distance of one third of the population. And if you're going to go see a Broadway show, I'm going to tell you it's going to be easier to drive from the northern suburbs of Chicago to Milwaukee that it is downtown. I spent the last three years of my career with Marcus Hotel's opening a restaurant in downtown Chicago. And I will tell you those last 20 minutes. Trying to get to Chicago would take an hour to get there. So right? Exactly. I mean, I think a perfect example is back when the Bulls were doing so well with Michael Jordan. The Bucks were not doing quite a swell and they would sell out when the Bulls were playing because they could come up here a lot. Dear fans, Bradley Center or well, America. The Bulls have their heyday in the right in the nineties. Then Bucks fans would be exactly exactly so, You know, there's there's so many different aspects of why Milwaukee can outshine a lot of the cities in the Midwest. We are we have were affordable were Completely walkable when you're anywhere in the downtown area on When you're here and our entertainment venues they bring in world class entertainment. I can't tell you how many concerts I've been to at the paps to see people that I've always wanted to see. And, you know, I just can't wait for the moment that we can all meet in person again and go to concerts and go to festivals. And you know where the city of festivals That's what we are, where the city of festivals So starting, you know, just a little bit before Memorial Day weekend all the way past Labor Day. There is not a single solitary weekend. When you cannot find a festival in the city going back to the point. There's always something to do. Unfortunately. It's reality. Covert has made that a challenge, not only for us participated in everything that Milwaukee has to offer, but for a lot of these businesses that depend paying the rent paying their employees on us attending these events, which haven't been happening. That's why visit Milwaukee has started. What's called Giving fest will pick up on that point when we come back in just a couple of minutes. "Of musical performers among them. The just heard John legend Leon Bridges also will be performing next week. Common Jennifer Hudson. And that is Billy is Billy Island, probably recorded in her bedroom, which records most of music the recently Age of voting. Billy Island just turned 18 years. That'll be your first opportunity s o that I'll be here. Handful of other people will be performing somewhat in Milwaukee have been forming for Milwaukee but at their homes and at their home studio stuff like you made a great point this morning. We were talking about about the shell today. For everyone outside Milwaukee. Yeah, this may look just like the regular DNC or RNC, for that matter, Except with those big, you know, big shots of the crowd, but all the other stuff the stage the tight state shots. Currently the stage is all set up in the convention center. I think there's any pictures out of that of that yet. We don't know yet what it looks like on the inside, so we'll all be somewhat surprised because the plan was the media was going to get access this weekend tomorrow. Today was supposed to be the day where Credentials got picked up. Everyone was going to meet. There was going to be at that That party was set for Sunday. I believe it's going to be happening, so we were going to get a bit of a sneak peek into the actual convention itself, then once started kind of shrinking, getting more locked down. We haven't been able to see what it's going to look like, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's some B roll of some big watch parties. I'm sure they'll be socially distance watch parties, But I wouldn't be surprised if it's interspersed like that. I think we've been desensitized to the quote unquote weirdness because we've seen award shows go this way already and stuff like that. So everything's changed when it comes to these kind of big TV shows. And you know, you mentioned award shows and Even sporting events is now weirdly different with the team's playing like they're actually playing in front of a crowd. And But yet there's no one there, except for a few people that have worked at the stadium's that playing in A little back story. So we all go through this big process to get thes credentials, right? Yes. And I was a little worried because when I took the picture for my credentials, and I was full quarantine beard Oh, the picture looks nothing like yeah, it's like that Is that secret Service, wasn't it And I, you know, wanted When we came back to the studio, I said that I told people is going to shave it off, and I did. I always imagine this weird, confrontational thing where they would say, Who is this person on your It's not you, but now we have to worry about because I really have no reason to go there now that being said. I opened my arms and my studio and our station to all those guests who would have been coming in from the DNC flying in their private jets. You know the Alec Baldwin's of the world? Um Bradley Whitford of the world is that his name was Bradley Whitford. Together. There's all the dumb stuff formerly of the West Wing. And, Yeah, he's on the Handmaid's tale whose brilliant in that they're welcome to come on my show Republicans can weigh in as well and a special guest today. Surprised me last night, Sean Duffy. Now retired congressman going going to stop by and we're gonna have a conversation. Wow, a little bit later, just talking about the campaign and I was working on behalf of the Trump campaign. He'll join me. But this is just that weird thing where we had all of these expectations. All of these responsibilities the show's would have been down there, right. We would have been camped out work going through all the security stuff now. My favorite line, just two guys and a cooler and a boombox and make sure no one sneaks in. That's just making sure that they pressed the right button to get the correct TV feet up so people can watch. They got their Miller shirts on MillerCoors shirts on maybe a path shirt and they're nearly got there. Those hats with the old beer cans of the macro may hats they usedto with the hose is in the hall. Yeah. That kind of stuff. That's how I picture looking. Yeah. So what do you know? I guess as we see this unfold on TV, and I know I'll be honest. I'm not goingto watch hours and hours of DNC coverage. As much as I like the music of John Lennon like John Lennon. I love his music. John legend. I'm probably not going to be tuning in for all the music and all that stuff. I will sample it. So here Here's my question and will know obviously come Monday. What is going to look like and sound like Is it going to be like an award show where you will have a speaker? Whoever it is that Michelle Obama, she'll give her speech, though Goto a break and that break will include two songs by John Legend Song for Hudson, and they'll come back and Kamala Harris will come out and do her thing is that is that how it's gonna work? Do we think it will be? Like in a linear event. I think with all this recorded stuff and be not being able to be here. The production side or TV producers had to be excited with the opportunity to be able to do something that looks like a produced piece as opposed to just a linear type event. So you know what it is. It's actually when you called it a national convention. It is national because the people are all over the place, right? The delegates are all over the place. They're voting virtually apparently, the guests Speakers entertainment all scattered across the country. Notary mind, I think that might remind us of you know those New Year's Eve programs? Yes, where they have music in Vegas or music in L. A on music in New York, and you have a host somewhere, or various host New Orleans on CNN and New York City. That's probably what it's gonna be like now, the part that I still have a question. About? I should have asked that boasts about 27 samples who probably knows more about this stuff behind the scenes that anybody in Milwaukee well, we still have the When you're the whole city always get those And that commercial so much. They're just like vignettes about the whole city and we are still gonna have those. Okay. So who put those together? Do we know visit Milwaukee? Okay. That was kind of what they've been tasked with talking to. Ah. Peggy William Smith about like, what are they going to be doing? Because at one point you were advertising. The things you can do while here now you're kind of advertising The big picture of Milwaukee. Eso. Yeah, they're taking advantage of those opportunities wherever they can, because they're not gonna have the foot traffic so over and under on a cow shot a farm. Yes, you're going to be that way. At least five. It's only going to reinforce the rest of the country's belief that all we are farms, but yes, College Brava. 100% Henry Winkler Font Statue statue. Yep. What else is on that list and M Skyscraper shot? Yeah. 100% Bridge. Yeah, which other part be lit in time for the unfortunately not sober, I think is their date..

My email yesterday a friend of mine hadn't talked in a while. Suggested somebody and they're going to show next week, so always available. It's spinning, as they say with comments about Thie. Eventually. Potential eyes, I need to say. Firing of chief Alfonso Morales, and it's all it's one of two things. It's going, they're going. They want to fire him or they wanna handcuff him in a way that makes it impossible for him to continue. That's that's the essence. Of what's going on and one more thing. Teo local folks who were tweeting things like exclusive last night. I talked about this A nine o'clock yesterday morning. Don't put breaking news and exclusive news when I talked about it at nine o'clock in the morning on a Thursday, and it's what Not eight o'clock on a Thursday night. Come on, folks. Reed. A dictionary and look up with the words exclusive and breaking me, Please. Alright, my smaller, all more tough news for the D N c. The New York Times reporting yesterday any time The New York Times reports something regarding the convention, it seems like it's just getting smaller and smaller, doesn't it? I don't I don't really know. So if members of Congress delegates aren't common, I don't know a lot of the fun seekers and just enjoy the vibe of a combat. If they're so, like, who would be here? Is there a reason to have it? In any kind of a physical sense. I don't know who's going to be an other than like media like us and national networks covering this thing Who else would be there? So that's the question, right? And then the other question is. How does Milwaukee take advantage of this now? It was supposed to be the humongous event. You know, thousands of that we talked about all those things one of its happening anymore. So how does the city kind of take ownership of it and do those things? I don't know, But, ah, that's why don't run visit Milwaukee CEO Peggy William Smith talked about it yesterday, so they're trying to do a couple of things here has been amazing. They had an entire strategic plan. Built around what would happen when the DNC was here, and what the team has done has pivoted that and looked at it and seeing what we can do to do this virtually were positive. That relationship with Bill will allow us to still showcase our city. So basically, it's going to come down to making Milwaukee look great in B roll shots is like one big sporting of that happens and you just hope that they get pretty bureau shots in Milwaukee. If somebody hasn't taken all that time actually spent and actually all the physicality of the convention and shifted into to the promotion of the city. The the images Little vignettes. That's where I think that's the only powder we have left right, And that's that's the big, so let's let's make sure that looks good and having been around walking long enough. There's a lot of great vistas and ah, just beautiful shots you can use you can mix in the rural areas of the state and all that stuff. Again. This this thing is has devolved to the point. It's like I know you have to have it because I have to pick a candidate. But I'm at the point now when he says he's coming Why would other than the I think the real answers because you've got to because Hillary Clinton and that's part of reason she lost state. Why would you come here? What do you come in for? I mean, you speak in an empty I mean, it's almost better is it almost looked better if you're streaming it on like, you know, TVs and stuff like that. I don't know. I don't know the answer to that. But I I know that the people that are charged with kind of taking advantage of this and helping put this on are in a very, very tough position. What's horrible, Nobody expected this and you couldn't plan for this. You know that there's a famous There's famous scenes and throughout film, history and television, where somebody comes in flustered and they have a stack of papers, and I just threw up in the air. That's the plans for the DNC. None of that matters anymore other than the promotion of the city. If you can capture some of that, get some of that back. Tell the story. Milwaukee that we think Needs to be told because there's a perception of Milwaukee that frankly, is not flattering. Tell the other side of that story if that's not your sole goal right now. You're missing a great opportunity, folks. This's W T M. "Thirty five Eric tracing Johnson before records about women at northwestern mutual few of them are leaving. And I have no doubt that north western will keep on the path, they're doing the right thing over there. And they say tremendous organization, but I thought let's do something interesting. You are a woman of leadership in Milwaukee, president CEO of car, w we're the women watching Milwaukee a lot of us regular folks. On the radio every day like you see, right every day. We don't know all the names, you meet these people, you're at every event, the women are watching me walk, you know, it's not just about being at events in, I mean you know who the people what I'm really grateful for. And got you through this curve ball on me what I'm really grateful for is having been able to work with, with these amazing people and their amazing women. I have to apply to the business journal for, for doing this, these women of influence award, you know, allowing for these stories of these amazing women in, in corporate, I would say to, to have their stories told because, you know, there are a lot of names in those in these nonprofit organizations. And, you know, their job is to generate the visibility in the publicity, but so many women working in corporations are doing so many great things and the really wonderful thing is just how they all support each other and how we all support each other. Give me some things. I mean, we talked about this earlier eve, hall, really astounding great leader. And she's been on the show. They said what one hundred years for the urban league cheat that woman can command a room can command a project and just you get stuff done one unsung hero. I think one woman has just been tremendously important to me. As Peggy William Smith, and she's a name that you might not see all the time. She works for the Marcus corporation, and I have to also give a shout out to Marcus corporation, because they do phenomenal job of women in leadership and women across the board are doing tremendous things and it's a it's a company that gives back. It's part of their culture, Peggy. Now runs the safehouse in their book Asian Milwaukee location in Chicago. And she's been just a tremendous. She was my boss for a little bit. When I was working for tempo, another one that comes to mind, we just Hispanic gala what two weeks ago Saturday couple of hours ago, and gazelle ready. They should go guests on your show. Yes. Many times just a tremendous asset in quite energy. I mean that's what it really takes his an energy and the vision to bring people together. Right. 'cause Vanik of spent professionals a Greater Milwaukee, they had Jose Feliciano was the actually artists that place was buzzing. There was like seven hundred fifty people in the Pfister hotel, and it was noisy. And it was so much energy in the room, mayor Barrett was there county executive Chris sale. You were there saw a bunch of other leaders in the community. That's, that's a celebration of two things women leadership and diversity in the city, which from what I understand from Brazil. And when she's on the show, keeps getting stronger for those folks who say we have issues in walkie. There's also a celebration of we're actually doing some things. Right. And I think that's where something like Zelda could be. Player in the future beyond what she's doing now. Absolutely going back to some of those women in corporate space, cure Lafond nam, it working for the Milwaukee business journal, I've just watched how she has impacted the culture of, of that organization. Then following on Facebook and Twitter. She's real good being. I mean I love her. She's got beautiful kids. She talks about that. And just the way she brings great energy. I think to the to the publication and makes it so relevant or a little politics. All right. State Senator Lena Taylor is now potentially rumored to be considering a run for Milwaukee mayor interesting because I had Eugene canine, former columnist from walking journal sentinel. He predicted that about a year ago, said, look, you'll have an African American woman running for mayor of Milwaukee. Well, if anybody would throw their hat in the rain, I mean, Lena Taylor, she did have some issues, I think she would choose never position at joint finance. So I mean, I think there's an ugly episode of Bank base, and I called her out on it. Yeah, I remember talking about that. But, you know, should she run for mayor? I mean she's saying that the people are asking her to, to do that. And if she wants to follow that lead. I think that's that's important for for her to do. Now. I think she will have some challenges because mayor Barrett has a tremendous war chest. He's all about him. They switch a person who's intent on running for reelection. Yeah. I mean, from a commercial real estate side, mayor Barrett has been helpful in his pro development as as he can be. I think given all the circumstances in our city and all the different factions and the different competing issues. I mean, it's, it's not a job that I would wanna do as mayor of Milwaukee, it is very complicated. I switch never gives flipped off. He's always around town. She was always a friend in my issues. It should be an interesting race, if she jumps in I, there's some issues there's you'll have to address and knowing state Senator Lena Taylor, she'll have no problem addressing Tracy Johnson.
