"All right everybody. Welcome back to the podcast. So on this segment. I wanna talk about what content houses are now. I don't get it to us. Is religion an name is quite quite simple. But i kind talk about my experiences and in what i really think of what content houses are because although it's very simple to explain the whole world is kind of complicated to go in depth into and you know it's it's really it's hard to depict unaware really started you know. I have an idea of where it started. I believe it started funny enough in the gaming industry of content houses. You know i. The first one was really The face house in new york and that was essentially. Because i think the main reasons to begin. I believe with main reasons why people may content houses are of because of of of What is it like it just to collaborate a lot easier to work with people who are in your team who are in your realm who are in your in your bubble. Y'all can work a lot better if you're living under the same house which is true and and you know the original constant house. Which was defaced. House was essentially is a game in house phase. A group of a believe professional Gamers who make youtube content or Comp- compete for living and live in the same house in may content together and this was very effective as a lot of people back then really really did enjoy the the the one on one experience outside of gaming you know people. The people living in the house together. The gaming house together would find it. You know it's hard to because their fans are so used to them seeing like their face behind A a a monitor playing games that whenever they post blogs or or we live content. It was quite unique. It was quite different. So you know living in. That house really did sort of emphasize the fact that you know. They're able to make the content that people love way more often to the beginning or of logs or real-life videos. They were able to do it. And the house together and phases one of the first ones that i honestly really did follow because some of some of you may know. I'm a big fan of games and whatnot. And and i grew up in that whole realm of youtube gamers and not and i believe they're one of the first wants to to release like you know. Make it unique and there was a lot of people there. Were definitely other youtubers making constant house but there were like one of the first ones. I thought and And it worked for them. They were the main reason why they wanted to houses because the first up they were all really close friends to each other and either whether it be you know on on through xbox through skype they always talk and having the house would make it so much better to make videos and that connection to real felt real with all them and and that's why i believe it works so well. Although of course now is i grew up they. They've actually moved out into their own houses. Still i believe they're still is another Face house but with less people in you know. I like i said as i grew up they decide to live on their own and you know have their families and whatnot but yet the phase house one of the first i think real casa houses that actually worked and throughout the years more and more concert houses were Being developed an jake. Paul had one I don't know what the exact name is the low. No i think team ten was a team. Tan was also another thing that worked. Honestly admissions i to not a big fan of jake. I do like i would like you know. It's good to say that his for his house. It was something that actually worked too. Although there was a falling out between the some of the people that live They were still able to actively make content. That would eventually strengthen all together so say if there wasn't someone who wasn't at the same level in terms of followers You know the other people in the house could help them gain those one night and and that team ten house really did help with with the people living in the house the house was. I'm not sure exactly what it is. I think it's just a youtube or stupid. I don't really know exactly. Who's in the house house again. That was sorta kinda worked. Didn't really nyla popularity quite obvious that the cloud was is doing it on purpose to to essentially just gain viewers engaging people Who are trying to watch and listen but you know that emerged. Youtubers like houses sort of essentially like died off at one point and Eventually take talk. Came and for some reason. The rise of contra houses came back and i think one of the reasons why was because hype house was one of the first ones to to become a thing and honestly the hype house really did sort of bring the idea of people having cotton houses now. This new commie own combing old style. Or whatever but this new generation of now and say generation but this new new wave. I guess this new wave of of take talk houses now. Sort of lost purpose on reasons. Why people why these concentrates living together like i said before the beginning the reasons why these constant craters live together with to make content but also strengthened friendships and relationships with each other. When i'm seeing these take talk houses and people who live together. Why they're living together is because they had the most subscribers or not followers. I guess on i think the reason why they made the house was purely. Just as a stunt to gain more followers like they. I don't even think they would do it. Just because they were friends prior to make being in the house together but i think they did it just because you know we gotta get the most a-list tick talkers on on the platform and put him on one house together. You can't have anyone below Eight hundred thousand followers eighty minute blow that we can't have them in house making those requirements to live in the house. But you had like you had like charlie demilio Dixie was an addict. Now on the charlie was in it Who's that gosh bryce hall. Oh excuse me. Bryce hallways in noah back Who are some of the people in the Embrace what's his name Oh my goodness all my goodness why am i. Oh wait chase hudson. What's his name little haughty when we're actually a little. I've heard a little heading in months. But little was so pilot like charlie. Dixie was dixie. Noah noah back Little and like. Bryce home take talkers. Living house together. I think is because they were all popular time. Listen whole point making constant house if you already popular. Like i'd point of content house yeah. Content house is too to olive each other by living in the same place in allowing these collaborations to to be better to more efficient. That's where we're happened with. Even jake paul stine ten house Not all of them were the most popular. You know. Youtube ridge button. There were some jake. Paul's friends franson friends of friends and they were to make contact together. That worked but now nowadays. Like i said before. It's like more just you know we'll we'll we'll pull out like the the the most viewed in most Followed people top ten bos paul people on the platform. Put one together I think already said that before anyways. Bummer pd myself..

"Traditional tacos, own sheets, run and done. We're talking about the rumors about the mayor earlier in the show here when we first got started here, how that whole thing got started is really a big question. I don't know that Jame All Green knows the answer that but I want to Certainly happy you joined the show today. J Mall. I know you ran for mayor we we met, then you have been very involved in different community issues lately, and there's a lot to talk about. But first you have any idea any idea how all this got started or what happened here? Well, I mean, I have no idea what sources are saying, Um, is that it was started from folks that were members of the F O. P On the market crowd. Um, so these these rumors are barring circumvent for a couple days now, since definitely since Friday. Um, first I've heard about them was on Saturday. But I've seen you know them pulsing about it and tweeting and stuff about it for a couple days now. Okay. You also tweeted about it. I know you're taking that down because you thought it was true. I presume, right? You thought she was resigning and you'd be posted something on that in a lot of people follow you, J Ma, You're powerful presence on social media, So a lot of people were sort of responding to that they thought it was true. Yeah, well, I mean, I think what happened was is folks to start rumors on what I said that, um you know she was resigning. You know, I guess folks started Tonto think they can put things together and They are. Well, she's resigning because of these rumors that people have been saying, Yeah, I definitely understand. Um, where I went wrong in that situation on, you know, I wish I didn't put up that tweet from a few minutes. It was not, you know, because folks responded to a very quickly and you know All we could do here is trying to do better. Yeah. No, I appreciate you saying that, I think, give you lot of credit for that, because a lot of folks are, you know, not saying that and they did participate. I know a lot of people over the weekend, folks in the media friends of mine that maybe they didn't post but they certainly we're hearing the same things you were hearing and it seemed to develop legs like I have never seen before. Maybe maybe that you felt that way to you, too. Right? Yeah, definitely I saw. I mean, I'll talk to many people before I tweeted use resigning. And I know that if you're in the political world, you heard all of these things for days since last week, So, um, I just happened to be the person to, I guess. Elevated with saying the shoes resigning and folks was paying attention to me. Um, you know, I wish I wish I wasn't. But, um, you know, these things have been already been talked about for days before I even said You're savvy guy on social media, and you know the power of it. Talk about just your experiences. This last year is very eventful Latte past year when you've seen things sort of spread and Take hold that aren't always true. To me. It could be. It could be pretty serious. When that happens, it can be. It can be and social media is uninjured e of his own. That is just like, you know, it's hard to control it. And even if things aren't true, um folks, folks who are conspiracy pairs of folks who may not see the update I think we lost. We lost them all there again. He's one of the folks that did tweet this out and because he has such a following. I think that was one of the reasons why so many people, you know people people believed it. It's interesting because He's totally owning up to what you heard in there. I don't know if we'll get Jamal back, but you've heard what he had to say. And he's you know, he's saying he regrets putting up there. You know, it was just now the mayor had to work to dispel the rumors she came out after and She posted a bunch of stuff to social media and just said, Hey, hey, hey, let's stop all this. It's not true and let's focus on the business that matters for the city, she said. This nonsense that some apparently have the luxury of indulging in has not fed. One person stopped the pandemic. How is anyone living on the street or save one young person's life? Anyone who wants to work with me to make progress. I'm ready. Even if we don't always always see eye to eye. If you actually love this city and want to be part of it, making it better, let's do the work. The rest of you get out of the way. Game all just a minute left some kind of like your closing thoughts here, but I don't know if you saw how the mayor responded. What do you think about that? I'll be honest and say it was very terrible statement. Um, you know, the mayor, you know, first of all, starting off with the mansion in Saginaw, you know it was there's always not the best way to start things. That should have definitely just been a statement addressing that the room was with Paul Stine that she's going to do better to leave the city. But at the end of the day, what she is right about is that we all must put our hands together and Really start to do better for our city. You know, young Jacqueline Adams, seven years old was killed yesterday and every week we see a new baby hard new kid being killed in our city, and it's just heartbreaking. So we do have a lot of work to do. I hope the mayor serious about work on people. She hasn't been good at that for the last couple years. But the reality is we've lost hope in the administration, and we just got to keep on going and keep fighting. It's a great point when it comes to Jasmine, Little seven year old girl in the McDonald's drive through right with her Danny and shot and killed. It is such a sad story. It is. Hey, Jame. All thank you for, uh, thanks for joining us here on Jan. Okay? I appreciate your time. Thank you. It's bottom of the hour time. Bye. For now. It's really gets the news from the bottom of the hour. I'm assuming so but the navy has more planes in any other branch of the military so It screams navy if in fact he does that. Have that type of background. The while we're on the topic of communications. I wanted to check in with you. Mike about the melvin belli communications. There were some phone calls and a At least one. Letter or postcard sent to melvin belli an attorney in the area at the time and pretty famous one that. What are your feelings. I know that one of the communications received by bell. I contained an additional piece of paul. Stine's bloody shirt so we know that at least that one is authentic but we also have the situation of bel. I sitting on a morning talk. Show talking to somebody on the phone. Who calls himself sam claiming to be responsible or at least calling in under the guise that he is zodiac and that seems to likely have been not the case that the caller calling himself sam was not zodiac. I don't know if was that person identified. I know that that phone call on the talk. Show was traced to a i believe a mental institution. Yeah he was. He was identified as nameless. Eric wheel and he was in that in that mental institution but the the way the started was someone called in to The jim dunbar show which was a local san francisco. Tv show and claim they were the zodiac answered. The wanted to speak to attorney. F lee bailey. Who was pretty well known at the time. And he wasn't available so they said. Would you settle for melvin. And and they agree to that so essentially the tv said. Hey keep the airwaves. Open someone claiming to be the zodiac is calling in and they're going to be speaking with melvin ballet on the show will loan the whole the call comes back in once. They're they're rolling in. "Eleventh nineteen sixty nine of paul sti- one. I find it intriguing alone that the first two attacks both take place on a friday and then the second to attack attack number three and four both take place on a saturday for whatever reason the zodiac is a weekend warrior and i do not know why because he has a job there must be something keeping him from killing during. The week is so much more convenient for him to do what he does on the weekend. Now in this situation the first attack he successful he kills both of the people parked in the vehicle he gets away with what may be no eyewitness at all at least to his person. There is one. I witnessed saying that they saw vehicle parked near ferret as car that night. And that comes into question but then on the fourth of july. He proves that he is not perfect. He's not as good as he claims to be or he believed himself to be because he leaves the crime scene before he he successful. In killing both of the victims. Mike mojo survives an even offers up a description of the suspect and the suspect vehicle. So what does he do. He adapts a little bit. He's going to have to take his car out of the next crime. I don't want my vehicle. Seen oh i can't be seen as well because i know that i'm not perfect. If i if i screw up again i leave a witness if i leave a survivor at the crime. They can describe me. They can tell the police what i look like. They can tell the public what. I look like this time. I'll wear a disguise. The thing with paul stine's murder that fascinates me is the complete difference in. Oh and i have to wonder and three attacks. The last two he failed to kill the male and both of those attacks in the last two attacks he failed to kill both victims and left of a victim alive and both the tax has he evolved to the point of understanding that. Maybe i do not want to go and kill two people again. I've just not been that great at it the last two times but for whatever game that he's playing he needs to keep killing to terrorize the san francisco bay area and then take that a step further. He's.

"Been proven to be a liar on more than one occasion but according to this other version again the police actually stopped the man who might have been the zodiac and they asked him if he seen or heard anything suspicious to which the man they stopped says yes. I saw a man waving a gun on washington street heading east so the police squeal their tires to rush off to go looking for this nonexistent man with a gun and again very likely let the zodiac killer. Walk off into the night and it's almost as if the zodiac is like daring himself to do a crime that's in the public's is that people will see him and how will he react when the police arrive on the scene at the murder scene captain they find paul stein. He's lying across the passenger seat. He was dead from the single bullet fire to his head damage to the entry of the bullet. The killer place. The gun to paul stine's head before firing the gun so this would be point blank. Rome that killer used to kill paul stein. The killer managed to take only approximately twenty five dollars from the cab driver. They were able to come up with that dollar amount. Based off of again the driver's log for that night on the fairs that he had picked up through out the night so it was called in as a robbery in progress with a possible shooting. However we now know that this being a zodiac case. The robbery is just secondary it. It doesn't have anything to do. And it was not the motivation for the murder itself as we know in the three previous attacks. The killer didn't molest any of the victims did not steal any of their money so then we have the perpetrator of paul stine's murder wiping down the cab. This is based off of the three teenage eye witnesses however the killer still managed to leave to fingerprints smeared in blood on the outside of the rear door on the driver's side. Now detective bill. Armstrong david tostki were assigned to the case. They arrived there that night and anyone who has seen the two thousand and seven zodiac film will know exactly the detectives that we are talking about as the movie follows them for a good deal of their investigation. Of course because it went down in a taxi cab. Paul stine's murder was initially believed to be. A robbery turned homicide but then two days later on monday october thirteenth. The san francisco chronicle received a letter from the zodiac. I call this one. The paul stein letter because it contained a torn section. Paul stine's bloodstained p shirt. I think the zodiac added that because they're started becoming questioning amongst law enforcement and probably the community saying is he actually responsible for these murders or is he just taking claim to them. Well and in this communique what we have here captain is. We have a very similar envelope. Addressed in a similar manner to the the previous letters received this says s period period chronicle san fran period. Keleaf we see that. Kelly of the abbreviation the abbreviated california. Please rush to editor one difference. That is is obvious and noticeable right away in the way that this letter is addressed opposed to the others is in the upper left hand corner. Where one would typically expect to see return address. We have the what we're calling the zodiac logo the crosshairs. The circle with the cross in the middle is in place of the return address and again. We see two stamps for this letter. So and typical zodiac tradition. Here right. we're seeing more postage than what is needed. The letter reads as follows..

"He had been shot several times and was in a good deal of pain and trauma when he saw the suspect. And then later we have bryan harthill. Who offers up a description but by this time our killer the zodiac. He is disguised from head to toe right. These witnesses are not even part of the crime. They're just simply witnessing the crime from afar. Not very far about fifty feet would be this to mation. So they're gonna get a decent look at this guy now mind you. It is dark but this is the heart of the city. It's the busy part of the city where we should have pretty well lit streets round the witnesses say that they saw the killer wiping the cab down before he walks away. Not running just calmly walks away from the crime scene toward the presidio area because we have three witnesses. We're going to get a better description of this. Individual has got different perspective. Yes as well as the description of the suspect so he. The suspect is heading to the presidio area again. That would be one block north of the the crime now. Two blocks from the crime scene was another birthday. Party is san francisco patrol car that is responding to this very call. They observed a white male walking along the sidewalk. East on jackson street in stepping onto a stairway leading up to the front yard of one of the homes on the north side of the street. This encounter lasted maybe or so. This has always been a strange part in the whole zodiac conversation in the whole investigation itself. Because we'll we'll see there's some weird movements going on here where we may have had san francisco. Police actually interact with the killer however they've never been super forthcoming and completely cooperative with that type of statement right. There were two officers in this patrol car. They later said that a white male pedestrian was about thirty five to maybe forty five years of age five foot ten inches tall with a crewcut similar to but slightly older than the description. The teenagers who observed the killer said the killer to be the teenagers. Say that the man that they saw stepping out of. Paul stine's cab. They have him as about twenty five to thirty years of age with the crew cut and again it's a white male that they are describing the teenage witnesses. Put the killer at about five foot eight inches to five foot nine..

"Is when a white male hailed a taxicab driven by twenty nine year. Old paul stein. The passenger would hail the taxi cab at the intersection of mason and gary streets. This is one block west of union square in san francisco. This is in the heart of the city. The passenger requesting to be taken to washington and maple streets and the presidio heights area. That's about a thirteen to fifteen minute drive. From the location of where. Paul stein picks up his passenger to wear. The passenger is requesting to be dropped off for reasons unknown. The taxicab did not stop at the requested destination instead. Paul stein drove one block past maple street to cherry street and you say well. How do we know that. The passenger requested to be dropped off where one block prior to wear the location where they do drop off. It's based off of the taxi cab drivers journal or log sheet for picking up the passenger at that location and where the passenger requested go. Now we know that it made the cab made it an additional block based off of eyewitness testimony right. The only reason why question this is is it possible that the zodiac said. Take me to this location. And the guy goes while. I don't know exactly where that's at. And he said well it's right by whatever and then that's what the key the cabdriver put into his log. that's interesting because it's always been pondered. Why go additional block and we can put in some Speculation as to that but as you just pointed out that could be a possibility. Maybe it's just the error human error on the part of the taxi. Cab driver in his log sheet. The white male passenger then shot paul stein once in the head with a nine millimeter gun. He took paul stine's wallet and car keys and tore away. A section of paul stine's bloodstained shirttail. This all went down. Captain right at about nine fifty five pm. On that night of october eleventh the passenger slash shooter was witnessed by three teenagers across the street at that. Same time at nine fifty five pm. Brian this is very cool because they were actually able to call in the murder to police while the crime was still in progress the way that this goes down is about fifty feet from where the murder took place down there in the street. We have a birthday party going. On and one of the witnesses. This would have been a young teenage girl. Witnessed the crime in action calls over her two brothers and they witnessed this whole event going down as well and they phone the police and say. Hey there's a robbery or a shooting or something that's going down in the streets below. Yeah this is going to give us probably our best eyewitness account of the zodiac. That's correct because in the second attack. Where mike michaud was able to offer up a suspect description. Keep in mind..

"Maybe not half. That might be a little bit of an overestimate. But i think that doesn't matter what i think. Let's move on call so just to kind of move onto another story that that seems to have been tied back to the zodiac kathleen. John's of san bernardino was actually traveling on the night of march. Twenty second nineteen seventy to visit her mother. John's was seven months pregnant and had a ten month old daughter beside her as she traveled along highway. One thirty two near modesto modesto. A car began honking and flashing the lights behind her. She pulled off on the side of the road and actually stopped the man in the car parked behind her approached her and informed her that her rear wheel was wobbling and offered to tighten the lug nuts following assisting her. The man drove off and john scott back onto the highway however the tire almost immediately came off the vehicle. The man came back around and offered to drive her in her daughter to a nearby gas station. John's entered the man's vehicle for assistance. And for the next ninety minutes he would drive back and forth on the back roads passing multiple stations. But he did not stop when she confronted him on not stopping he would change the subject. The suspect eventually stopped at an intersection. At which time. Johns took the opportunity to escape with her young daughter. The suspect preceded search for her with a flashlight stating that he wouldn't hurt her but he eventually gave up and drove away. During johnson's statement to the police. She noticed that the police composite sketch of paul stine's killer and identified him as the man who abducted her and her child while many accounts report that the suspect threatened her during the ride. This is disputed with the police report. Yeah and in another part. That's disputed is him searching for her with the flashlight. I couldn't really find it a definitive answer if he actually did that so Take that for what it's worth. I don't know that he did or didn't get out of the car and look for the flashlight. But this is actually what alex was talking about earlier. Right this is yeah. Yeah this scene in the movie Whether it's actually how it played out or not was this. Is the scene that i had hard time watching like the whole time. I was thinking to myself. Because you see the people pull up. And she's freaking out on the side of the road she's bloody and and and what you assume then because in the car The the guy he actually says and because because another thing we didn't really talk about exactly. I don't think Oh yeah ten month old daughter. Okay and he says. I'm going to throw your child at the window before i kill you. Kill you and kill you. And then it's then it proceeds to the scene to cycle my. Gosh what whereas her kid and then you know and then luckily you know you see that that that she hid hit the child and you hear the crying. It makes it a lot better but before that you know. I'm thinking to myself. Oh my gosh. She's looking for her kid on right right. Yeah yeah. that's that's a good. That's a good assessment. That but i think from everything that i could find that threatening stuff was actually hollywood and her police report. He'd she doesn't mention that she was threatened by him. She just felt very uneasy with this guy. Driving her around passing the gas stations. That that's why she actually got out of the car when he stopped at that intersection. So yeah But yeah that's it's startling. Scene in that movie for sure..

World cup super bowl masters Golf daytona five hundred. Just name a few. And i also have a client in the and the saltwater aquarium business and i the largest saltwater cram convention in the country i booked that for them on an annual basis Also deal with a client in comecon era which is Which is you know. Sort of a new thing in the past twenty years comecon they get quite big and And one of them. I've actually several clients in that area that i booked for Government meetings is another area of Out of washington dc. I have a government client The department of veterans affairs. I'm sure many of that and I books some of their meetings Attorney retreat so legal Legal client That does a couple of retreats every year and able to book their retreats Military reunions is another client That book for And media trade shows is another client Trade associations another one at annual meetings for amusement parks is another client society meetings for university professors. I also have a client in the education field and Construction companies annual meetings and care meetings. So that rounds out the top dozen. And i am working on other clients as well to bring on board so Keeps me pretty busy. I can see that. It was really a wide scope from arizona social events to sports events and an aquarium or lawyer etc so it's wide scope Now that was great in two thousand nineteen and then we had this pandemic. And how did your group meeting clients react to dependent pandemic. Can you just share your some some stories of what what you went through and what the clients have to go through because obviously some of the events could not take place in in the books. Yeah there was immediate reaction sam. They restrictions for group meetings. In twenty twenty meant immediate cancellations or potential moves to future date. So basically the mike clyde had to give up On holding the meeting that was scheduled and contacted and booked at the hotel and We had to immediately examine options to move Those the future days. I was very fortunate to be able to move. Eighty percent of my my client meetings to future dates others had to cancel outright which there was no recourse for so That is the was the immediate reaction and Fortunately through most of that at this point now if you're looking at the portion which were moved to another date can you just shared a rough idea of how much of the business had book which was then Okay canceled because pandemic now has been confirmed that you will have in the future dates. Yeah well the Like i said eighty percent of my clients have we're able to book for future dates okay and The but you know if if what i've learned about this This pandemic is that all clients want to read book and conduct their meetings When they thought it would be safe so the willingness is there so that's the good news is that we're able to move these meetings to future dates and all clients realized that. There's really no substitute for face-to-face meetings. Yeah you know this is. This is the key I think that the are are medium that were communicating on now is great for sort of a stopgap and keep the ball rolling but The ultimate goal is.

"Wrong. Instead of describing the killer as a white man the radio dispatched to responding officers described the killer as a black, man. The witnesses watched as demand finished, whatever he was doing the cab. You got out of the cabbie walked around in the driver's side and appeared to have some sort of light colored cloth in his hand as he was wiping down the cab or doing something on the driver's side of the cap. He then turned and walked north up cherry street. Two days later, the chronicle received a letter and only the chronicle from the zodiac this is former reporter Duffy Jennings. He was there when the San Francisco Chronicle received this now infamous letter as the woman opened it in the editorial department of peace of bloody shirt fell out with the letter. This is the zodiac speaking. I am the murderer of the taxi driver over by Washington street and maple street last night. To prove this. Here's a bloodstain piece of his shirt. I am the same man who did in the people in the north bay area. So they knew that this was Paul Stein's killer. And now he's again taunting police to catch him and the fear factor went way up and now he's in San Francisco. Captain Lee at this particular time is satisfied not the individual. Who sent this piece of shirt in on the letter to the chronicle? Wasn't fact connected with the is the person who kill the cabdriver. Let me put it that way. The contents of the letters the language of the letters in other cases, are very similar to the language and the form of the letters in this particular case in because of the fact that the shirt matches the shirt as I understand it. We would have to assume that there is validity to the claim of this individual. That was San Francisco police chief Thomas kale, the SF PD confirmed. The killer was in fact, the zodiac they knew this because the striped cloth found in the letter matched the striped shirt pulse. Stein was wearing and when investigators checked Paul stine's shirt, they found that a rectangular portion was missing with the San Francisco police department involved this crime now crossed over multiple cities and jurisdictions and those individual departments weren't necessarily working together in Napa where the last murder occurred at lake Barry Esa sheriffs had made their own assessment of the murder in San. Francisco, but pulmonary tests of certain evidence such as fingerprints and handwriting have been made to where we are certain that the man that we're looking for is the same man responsible for the killing of the cabdriver in San Francisco, plus the shooting deaths in Solano county and Lael sheriff what type of person is this man, we have reasonably that. He's a maniac. He how ever he is a cunning, man. He knows just exactly what moves he's going to make the knows where he's going to be from one minute to the next. He knows where he's going to start. And when he's going to end, he plans these things out, and he knows just exactly how this thing's gonna turn out. We think it is. It appears to us that he is killing just for the thrill of killing. So how did the killer avoid the police in Priscilla heights in the bloody shirt letter the zodiac gave his own account of what happened that night? The San Francisco police could have called me last night. If they had searched the puck properly instead of holding road races with their motorcycles seen who could make those noise. The car drivers should have just puck their cars and sat there quietly waiting for me to come out of cover. But there was more in another letter sent just a few weeks later zodiac gave even more details about what happened after Paul stine's murder. If you wonder why I was wiping the cab down. I was leaving fake clues for the police to run all over town with as one might say I gave the cop some busy work to do to keep them happy. I enjoy needle in the blue pigs. ABC pig. I was in the park you were using fire trucks to master sound of your cruising. Prowl cars. The dogs never came within two blocks of me, and they were to the west. And there was only two groups of parking about ten minutes apart. And then the motorcycles went by about one hundred and fifty feet away going from south to north west PS two cops Poldhu about three minutes after I left the cab. I was walking down the hill to the park when this cop car pulled up in one of them called me over and asked if I saw anyone acting suspicious or streams last five to ten minutes. And I said yes, there was this man who was running by waving a gun and the cops appealed rubber and went around the corners. I directed them. And I disappeared into the park a block and a half away never to be seen again. You

So that was when they saw him on the side of the road and. Said, no, we're looking for a black man. Right? Who else would hurt a cab driver and said he was basically taunting them and was like, yeah, I talked to them. And I said, you know, it was a perfectly friendly, white man, and they'd just let me go, which is just okay. So beyond. On December twentieth nineteen sixty nine one year to the day of dared David Faraday and Betty Lou Jensen's murders. So like the first ones that I mentioned at lovers lane a year to the day. Afterward does Odia mailed a letter to the lawyer that I mentioned who went on that show and included another swath of Paul stine's bloody shirt and said, he wanted this lawyer to help him and like defend him basically in court. So on the night of March twenty second. So those three months later, a woman named Kathleen. John's Kathleen John's was driving from San Bernardino to Petaluma to visit her mother and she was seven months pregnant and also had her ten month old daughter with her while heading west on highway one, thirty, two near Modesto car behind her Regan, honking its horn and flashing headlights. So she pulled off the road and stopped the man walks up and says, oh, you're right. Wheel is wobbling. I'm worried that your cars like endanger. After here have like a repair kit with me, why do I fix it? And she's like, oh, that'd be really nice. Thank you. So he repairs, quote, unquote the wheel and says, okay, you're good to go. And she's like, thank you so much. Could he fucked up even more? So she pulls off to reenter the drive, reenter the highway, and almost immediately the wheel falls completely off the car and the man returns, and he's like, what? Oh my God, you're will must be so must up here. I'll give you ride to the nearest gas station for help. So she's like, okay, I mean, I'm stuck here my wheels off the car now, like Ryan do anything obviously. So she gets in the car with her daughter, and she is like the please drive me to gas station. So during the ride the past several service stations and the men didn't stop for about ninety minutes, he's driving back and forth along the same back roads. And when she asked why he's not stopping. He would change a subject. He wouldn't explain it. And so she started getting like increasingly nervous and he finally stopped in intersection and she fucking jumps out of the car with her baby. Good, yeah, and fuck and bolts. And she just runs into a field and is like running and running and running. And this guy's like taking off after chasing her. Yup. Oh, no. So she fucking hides in a field and he has a flashlight and walking around looking for her, and he says, I won't hurt you come out. I won't hurt you and he's walking. I mean, it's like, come out, come out wherever you're right. So fucking creepy. She's hiding and he's walking around, like you're praying. Your baby doesn't cry at she said, apparently the baby was trying to cry and she was just like begging the baby to like quiet, and there's nothing you can do. So he's walking around like looking for them and saying, I won't hurt you. I won't hurt you..
"paul stine" Discussed on And That's Why We Drink
"A passenger enters a cab driven by a man named Paul Stein at the intersection of Mason and Gary streets in San Francisco, and he requested me taken a Washington and maple and prosciutto heights. And as Paul drives the car, the passenger pulls out a gun shoot styling in the back of the head takes his wall in car. She's and then tears away a section of his bloodstained shirt. Like his shirt tail shirt, three teenagers across the street witness, the whole thing, and they call the police while the crime is happening. Like wallets in progress there, watching this happen, and they say, we see this guy. He's wiping down the cab. He's walking away toward the Presidio, like we see where he's going. It's a little police obviously are like on their way. And as they head to the scene, they see a white man walking along the sidewalk and stepping into a stairway, and they kind of talk to him for a second and then they move on. And although the teens had described the man as adult white male, just like they had seen walking down the street and stepping into a stairwell. The radio dispatcher apparently said to be on the lookout for a black suspect, of course. So the police did not bother to look into the man that they saw on the side of the road any further. So they are saying, we need to look out for a black suspect who attacked this man. The cab and the white teens are basically say. No, like he was. We all saw him. He was a white middle-aged like thirty year old man. So after the teens give this sketch, oh, and by the way, the police at this point say like, no, we never stopped anybody. We never talked to anyone on the side of the road. Like we just went straight ho seen just remember that. So these teens give a sketch or give a description and the first composite sketches made of this killer Giovanni de, I don't know what his deal is. So over the next few years, the San Francisco police department would investigate an estimated twenty five hundred suspects my God all to no avail and on October fourteenth nineteen sixty nine. The chronicle received another letter from the zodiac and alongside it was a swath of Paul stine's shirt his bloody shirt and it's going off good heavens, help us all it went to yellow Paul. I'm sorry, eligible times. I'm sorry that this happened to you. I truly because wolf is this a rough story. So he sent a piece of the shirt to be like, oh, it's me. And he also included demand. Okay. What's the demand? He said he needed a prominent lawyer. Any listed to, okay. He's like one of these two men need to appear on the show AM San Francisco. Or he would quote get ready. This is even worse than before he would quote just shoot out the front tire of school bus and pick off the kiddies as they come bouncing out all my God. Yeah, it's not good. So he basically was what is wrong with stub. He's having a really intense conversation with the dog frustrating. They're like, really getting to know what else. One day we'll meet one day. We'll meet. Are you? My friend? I don't know. What is the dog say Doug? What is Doug saying up where he's just like, just met you and I love. Right? So I will pick off the kiddies. They come balancing out. She's beyond beyond fucked up. So the lawyer that he mentioned one of the lawyers busy, but the other one did busy, no No. time. Was like, I'm out reports even bigger. It'd be like outer, like just all do whatever to make sure. Right, right, right. I feel like it's either or like it's not like we'll see what I can do case. He must have really been busy. He must have been. Real fucking busy like in the Caribbean or something. Okay. So the one lawyer did is instructed. He went on the show appealing to the viewers to keep the lines open. So that. Sorry. So he appealed appealing to the viewers to keep the lines open so that if the ODI at called he could get through right and lo and behold, zodiac did call several times and he said his name was Sam and this guy, this lawyer agreed to meet him in Daly city the next day. But the subject never showed up. This funds that I'm the soda. I'll meet you here. So on November eighth nineteen sixty nine, zodiac mailed.
