"Technically he drops down to 13th. Hindsight and if you can rewind time says that Paul Pierre gasly, who finished 11th in Q two, therefore he was the one to miss out on the Q three spot. He should have been in Q three in Paris should have been out in Q two finishing 13th, but they didn't have the information. They didn't have it everything sorted to hand at that point in time, and that's why we're talking hours after qualifying about Perez dropping broken basically half a grid spot and everyone in that gap going up a space. It does sound confusing. It does sound sort of you could say peak F one over complicating it, but there is a sort of a reason behind it in terms of where they were looking for the track limits and unfortunately an area that they weren't looking at for that instant sort of lap time deletion whilst qualifying is going on is where Perez fell foul. So yes, it's one of those unfortunate ones. I wouldn't say I'm sort of defending the rule makers or how they came to their decision, but they sort of didn't have the full facts at the time, therefore had to do it after qualifying, and that's why we're in this situation. But yeah, as you say, the bottom line is Perez will start the sprint, so not the full grand Prius. I know that the sprint race from 13th and everyone in between that gap goes up a spot. But of course, like you say, if he gains paces in the sprint race, he can end up back and forth. For the Grand Prix, which would be the massive irony if something like that would happen, which isn't too far off the world to possibility, given the pace he's got in that car. Yeah, and the car looks great. I have the FIA bulletin here. Thank you for sending that on. It says the team made the point that they took both risk and expended resources to compete in Q three. The stewards accept this point, however, in assessing a penalty after a recession, this is no different than any other situation. The usual penalty in deleting the lap time concerned and the stewards order the same penalty. Here, however, as a consequence, the driver would not have proceeded into Q three and therefore, in fairness to the other competitors, the stewards order that all lap times for Q three for the driver are also deleted. So that is their in their own words, their logic. We've seen this over the years in Formula One, you get that time between Q one and Q two or Q two Q three. They have a look at it. And if they can't identify it, then hard luck, right? Over the years, it's been like, well, that's obviously not fair. That person was blocked or impeded. And if it's not resolved in that gap, and that driver isn't given the penalty and then they can test that session, we've seen it time and time again, you just get lucky. Or you get unlucky in Formula One, whereas this is one of the first times I can remember where they've gone back and gone. No, no, no. We are inventing our own time machine to put things how we think they should be. Which I agree with you. Is P F one, like it's just, it's a little bit weird. And it doesn't do a huge amount for the fans. When they turn on their TV on Saturday. The fans that are watching on television, the fans that were there at the track. Would have gone, yeah, home or whatever, believing that Perez was fourth. Now, okay, Perez being in fourth is not exactly a headline factor. But it's very easy and very simple to say the poll sitter could have been in this situation. Whoever that may have been. And that just changes the whole story when it's quite easily to have quite easy to avoid. And that's the sort of problem that they keep finding themselves in. But on the other hand, rules are rules and they did apply them as accurately as they could. Okay. George Russell lines up forth in the Mercedes because he put in a good time before shunting, followed by Esteban ocon in the first of the alpines and a brilliant result for the two Haas drivers lining up now in 6th and 7th, doing some very quick mental arithmetic. On my notes that I've written. And Magnussen pipping Schumacher, but that's stunning we'll talk about in a minute. Fernando Alonso, second Alpine in 8th, followed by Lewis Hamilton, who was bottom of Q three, get bumped up, and Pierre gasly is in tenth, followed by Alban Bottas, Perez in 13th. Tsunoda and Lando, who at one point was running 8th early on in qualifying and had a shocker. Along with teammate Ricardo in 16th, stroll, Joe Latifi, Vettel lines up last, again, track limits catching out Sebastian Vettel. Where should we go next? Let's talk about the Mercedes crashes, two separate incidents, wiping out Russell and Hamilton, like I say Russell had a good time on the board, so starting up on the second row, which is brilliant. We should talk about, well, first of all, Hamilton brought out the red flags, about 5 and a half minutes to go. He ran into the barrier at turn 7. Talk us through this. Yeah, so, a very uncharacteristic error you could say from how it's and he did say sort of after qualifying, he partly held his hands up, but also wasn't really sure what happened. He lost the rear of the car going through this high speed corner and it is one of those where as soon as you lose it, well, you're on a one way ticket to hit hit in the barriers and I remember not so many years ago, Bottas did it in a Mercedes in a very similar situation. So it's not impossible to do. Many will do it after and since. But yeah, I think just it would be interesting to see what the Mercedes Benz Dave and how they analyze their qualifying because naturally their drivers will push harder in Q three. They seem to believe in and to be fair the pace in practice did show it that if they completed their lamps and didn't sort of have the issues that they came into a Q three, they would have been there or there about knocking on the door of the top three. And I think that's basically what they were going for the car is inherently a bit twitchy a bit nervous and we've seen this whether it's the porpoise singing the corners that unsettle the drivers or if it was just a gust of wind catching the car and putting them out. But they were pushing and on the limit. As you would expect in Q three because it will qualify because that's the time you do it of all the entire weekend. But they seem to find that edge where when you go over it, well, that's the consequence of it. Whereas I think you could say because they have the faster package, they have to take air versus a slightly less risk in terms of if you were the rebel or the Ferrari drivers. So a combination of errors and issues, I think, have hit both Mercedes drivers and it's very rare to see that, to be honest, but that was it. Similar sorts of crashes, similar sorts of situations for both Hamilton and Russell like you say, if anything Russell got slightly lucky, you could say, because as you say, he got a lap time in that was good enough for 5th anyway, and he was basically going on his final run in Q three. And with Paris's penalty, it's put him forth.

"Trade bargains of the river that I'm not freestyle skiing. Or maybe I come into another way, but I think that's like the first guy that was like, wow, you're a rockstar if you're a professional care. And then the handbrake comes in to a little later on. Now I have the 20th now I'm running all the time. Now I'm getting into being a nerd and going into schools and seeing all the different types of free, not just like half I have been what you see next games, but you know like chug life and you know more of the underground culture and then I was just super drawn to Henrik skiing because that was like when I was starting to learn more about how like you know skiing isn't just about the number on the scoreboard. That first skiing is a lot about self expression and it's very subjective and a Henrik was kind of like the perfect guy who was like really, really good, but had this intangible aspect to skiing that just made it not just really good. But really, really good and really stylish and so I just I became a super fan. Yeah, that's insane. Do you have contact with these guys now? Do you have a relationship with these guys now? And does Simon know that this is a thing for you? I don't think Simon knows it's a thing for me on the level that is probably a thing for me. So I met Simon after this. So he had a he had this event and senator called the Duma cup and I got knife in it and I met him in there, of course. And then I made on the USD team and they have this crazy training facility at the center of excellence in Utah. And I remember I walked in on my first day and I saw it's time to do my and I mean I met him like a little bit like between 11 and now I get to do one cup and stuff. And we were like, we're a friend. He wasn't like, it was like, oh yeah, what's up? I was like, wow, this is so crazy. But I don't think he knows. He definitely invested though that he's like the main reason why I started free skating or that his interaction with me meant so much. Like he has no idea about that. And then Henrik, I met Henrik at the Dumont cup as well, because I was so sick. I remember like I'm a kid from the east coast growing up at some of the remain and no professional skiers coming to the room. Even Simon came back at once every three years, you know? It was not like, it's not breckinridge. You're not seeing your favorite skiers. And when the Dumont cup came, that was like, all of a sudden, Tom wallish, Henry Carlo, every single good skier understand was basically coming and skiing your hometown park. And it was such a big deal for me. And I got my cast signed. I had broken my I had broken my roots to it, badly. And I think my mom still saved the cast that Henry Zion and then and then you know I got better at skiing and then also I started I wouldn't say that my Henrik Pierre but basically then we start skiing together a couple times and inviting with each other. And I would say that not that no Henrik well, but we skied some street spots together last quarter, which was crazy. And he knows that I'm like, what's the super fan? I've already got to know. Yeah. I'm a super fan. And look at, I mean, if you just go on my Facebook feed and it's like, look at any of the clothes. There's no hiding it. That's amazing. That's amazing. Speaking of Sunday river, do you know who Donnie pelletier is? No. Do you know who Troy Murphy is? Yeah, I know Trump. We want to start the Gould academy. I don't know what sense for Gould's under river. But his weekend academy. So I know I know Troy very well. Yeah, he's the man. You should, after we get off this call, look up Donnie Paul Pierre and you'll make the connection there and figure out what that is. That shit has like a cult following, it's Sunday river. It's like the most popular thing going on at Sunday river right now. I feel like it's the best marketing tool that they have. Okay, you gotta look at it. Now I'm feeling like out of the Louvre. No, you're definitely out of the loop, dog. Okay. Okay, yeah, you know. Here I am, my second time in Dumont didn't come back just on the river. Yeah, no, it's something. Wait till you see it, but anyway, talk to me a little bit about what it's like being peers with these guys now, because I mean you are. You're on the same level as all these guys that you grew up watching and you're at 25 years old now. It's got to just be such a weird experience to be where you're at in the sport. Definitely, I think like a big thing is it's just like, it's just like everything in life. It happens very incrementally. So if you were to just teleport the 12 year old me to 25 year old me, I don't even really think that you could I don't even know how I would react it. I would have been beyond this. But you know it happened so incrementally. And then there's also like, you know, there's just so much that happens along the way. Then all the time it's just normal one day. And then so I guess for me, it now feels like normal and that when I hang out with Henry now, I don't go crazy. I don't find that whole thing I do when I was 13. I still pick his brain. I have someone's respect for is skiing and whether you're with a guy with Henrik, how much information does this guy have? He's the biggest ski nerd of all time. I definitely want to learn from him. But that's all I would say. You know, it's like a rise in time that it's not just low tide and high tide, but it's gradual. Yeah, and I'm beyond grateful. Last thing I'll ask you about and I'll let you get out of here. What your music situation? What do you like for music? How do you pick music that's in your parts? I look through your I think it's your Spotify playlist a little bit before I came on here just to see what you've been like, what's on those playlists? So talk to me about what you like, what kind of stuff you have in your headphones? Now I'm nervous because I had Spotify since I was 15. Exactly. I think I remember like I was doing school and I would have the playlist with all the songs and the ski movies. But I think it's like it's totally different. What you're looking for in a part song versus music you listen to. On a normal level apart, apart song, shout out to Conor data. He was one of the HD dudes, one of the guys that found HG. And he just got very well. You're looking for a unicorn song. Because like a good part song, for me, when I think about great parts of it, I'm like thinking like, okay, get Anderson and shoot the moon to the masi star or fade into you and like all these sort of talks that are just super epic and iconic. It's like, if you go into Mazda star and you try and find fading to you, you're not gonna find it. It's always song that she makes that's really like it. And that especially for part song like having the ups and the downs and basically having that feeling, it's like it's so rare. It doesn't just go, you can't just say insert mazi star, just pick another album in another song. It's like, it's basically like each artist maybe if you're lucky, creates like one or two songs that just happen to be a unicorn. They're.

"In two thousand and three the highest ranking for the program since two thousand twelve and pain this will mark one of the bigger matchups of the best pass defense in college. Football georgia number one allowing just four point six yards per attempt arkansas behind them allowing just four point seven which really interesting is dislike and and we know not all lines are accurate. That's that's why we're here. But they can paint a picture intel story in the story. This line says is that arkansas gets beaten to an absolute paul. Pierre georgia's good on both sides of the ball. Obviously right there. They're one of three teams in the country. That's top ten in points per drive on both offense defense. I really don't see arkansas's offense doing doing much here against kirby smart sam pittman did say that both caja jefferson and trailer. Birks will be fine for this game. But i don't think they're gonna be one hundred percent and there really isn't an advantage. Arkansas has on offense and obviously they stepped up in class last week. You know that had some explosive runs which we said they would need to have a chance to to win and cover caja. Jefferson's accuracy still was pretty bad forty six percent last week Twenty percent of his passes were either intercept or uncatchable. So you know for me. The key factor here. The only way that arkansas can actually stay within this number is if the razorbacks defense proves to be just truly elite and through four games. I think they have certainly made the case. This is obviously the biggest test to date. You know going against cal zodda. Is you know kind of man berry. Odem defense right now. Eighth in epa per play extremely balanced right fifteenth top. Fifteen rather in both epa per pass and run. They've allowed well below the national average in both passing and rushing success rate. But i think this is. This is the tall task here. You know you have an arkansas defense. That came off a physical game against am. They're going to be in an even more physical game against georgia and georgia right now. Second in the country in points per drive versus expectation. It's a georgia team. That is well rested right. They played vandy last week. Some of the starters only played one quarter and it was like a heavyweight boxer knocking on its opponent. The first thirty seconds is basically just a nice lather and get the hell out of dodge and so when you look at the rest component of it. I do think that favors georgia little bit as well. But this is a pretty fun matchup. Jt daniels and the pass offense against barry adams exotic defense that likes to play with six defensive backs in disguise things and you know the coverage changes from play to play but i think. Jt daniels is obviously more older. A little bit more mature to kind of handle. Some of those looks arkansas. Goals to limit explosiveness. And that'll be part of the key. Here because georgia's pass game right now is done nothing but hid explosives. That's why they're sixth n. Epa per pass all signs point to dr now washington returning georgia's five star tight end so another weapon in the basque game for georgia. But the key for me is georgia's offensive line. Let's see if they can finally get some push upfront. Georgia's one hundred third in the country and epa per rush right now not good their tenth in the sec and rushing success. Rate but of arkansas is gonna play with lightboxes in their three to six..

"I love to ask this of former NFL players and for you, It's been a couple of decades. Sorry, Mike to tell people that you were that you were in the NFL, though. I think most people know when you look at today's game versus when you played what's the biggest difference in the product that's on the field. I think how open it is. I mean, um you know when, when I played everybody huddled offense to defense huddle. You know, it was kind of the norm, and it was. You didn't change a lot of personnel at times. Now there's a lot more. The game is a lot more wide open. The game is faster paced. The game has more. A switching off of groups. Whether it's offensive groups or defensive groups of who comes in a game size of players have changed. You know that the day of the 63 £250 Ray Lewis type middle linebacker is over. You know those guys are smaller the guys that are stars now. Like those edge rushers. They used to be tweener when I played and there wasn't a spot for him. They were too small to be defensive ends and they were too big to be linebacker. So there really wasn't You know that spot for that at 260 pounder. You know, it was too little to be a dnd get handled, and maybe two big and couldn't move as well to be a linebacker. But those guys thrive now. You know, 2 42 50 You know those guys and said when they were used to be middle linebackers now You know they're 626365, and they come off the edge, so the athletic ability is definitely way better than it was. But that's true In any sport. That doesn't mean the game is necessarily better. But the athletic ability of the guys playing it is definitely better. I had Trent Green, who, of course, is a former Chiefs quarterback. Tell me that when he used to come off the field in half time, there would be snickers or other chocolate bars waiting for him and that he marvels at the way the nutrition has now kind of taken over and that guy's even have shakes that are tailored to their body types and their chemistry. When they come off the field. I can't imagine all the science and technology that's crazy. Well, go get all the way back. My father played in the CFL and it have to have time of their games. There will be beer in the locker room when I When I first got in the league in 85. It was right at the end of this, but I remember being in the locker room. I was injured by my rookie year, but I still obviously being a locker room and there'd be a guy or two smoking. In the locker room at halftime, so and then, at the end of my career in 93. That's when the stakes kind of kind of started coming into play like the protein shakes the guys would take before work on her after work out or during the day. You know, when I first got in the league, you kind of lifted every body part and now it's to the point where you lift the body parts you need for your position. And the money guys spend in the off season on their bodies, and quite honestly, it's way it should be. You know, your body is is your living, so they're treating it much better, and that's just modern technology. Like just with equipment is the same thing with your body. You find out things that work better man. Remember, we stand steak for pregame meal have done that states A steak just sits in your gut for the entire game. You know, I mean, so there was the whole revolution to where guys I mean, are suspended hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars on their training technique and their bodies and personal chefs and all that. And quite honestly, it's incredibly smart thing to do. And I guess that would explain why there are well quarterbacks who don't get hit that play into their forties. But why you have guys who like even at LeBron James is in such phenomenal shape. He'll even say he's in better shape now than he was 10 years ago. And that's a huge difference on how you take care of your body. The way I always looked at it is, um I would work out for a season And then when training camp started, I was at my peak. In the first hit, I took and training camp all the way through the season. You start to lose it because you're hitting and you're physically abusing your body. And then when the season's over, you start to build it back up. And a lot of times it's tough to build it back to that same spot. It was the year before. That's what happens when you get older. You start getting the operations and start getting hurt a little more. But these guys that they work out and new Christian is so much better that they can get themselves back to where they were the year before, and they can hold it for longer. So you get guys In their mid thirties in their late thirties on then you know the freaks every now and then, like Brady, who can who not only can play at that age, but playing a high level of that image I had long time defensive back. Tell me about Patrick. The homes that the first thing he would do to prepare for facing the homes would be to march into the defensive line meeting and say, if you guys have a bad day were gonna have a terrible day. So you were part of those defensive line meetings. How do you begin to solve a problem? Like Patrick Mahomes. Well, I mean, always has the news to listen. I had guys that I played with on the line. You know, Reggie White home ground and Clyde's him of those guys with great players, So they're they're just gonna play their game. You have to just play your game. The last thing in the world could do when you start saying Well, this quarterback can do this and do that. If you start to think about that, and kind of think about your rush and maybe dot don't rush the way you normally do. You're hurting yourself. You got to just play your game and believe you're going to believe Chris. You know you're going to be able to catch the guy believed that shack Baird and Jason Pierre Paul Pierre Paul and what they did in Green Day and putting pressure on Rogers that they'll be able to do the same thing down at the confidence level..

Why are you doing that? Lori found. Nobody has told us this story. That's how desperate we are to talk about. Anything else is just that everyone has to be his heir. Very happy. I know. They wrapped the tree. They shrink wrapped the tree they got at the guy showed how he led a murder Hornet. Bite his arm, and he said it felt like somebody held a hot poker and went really. I mean, I don't want to have an encounter with one of these. I had a hornet bite. On my side they kill and they spread and it's like, Whoa, but this is murder Orn. It's even worse. Yes, but that was kind of lets a little good news. Good news. The horn bitter heart murder prisoners were gone. Try to say that. Really? Um All right, so other things that are happening is that this is a local of people like, um, like rock. Would you like a duels or non alcoholic beer? You know, I remember when I would go to Nizar something and I'd be singing tonight Have a couple drinks and I'd be like, you know what? I still want to stay here. But I shouldn't have like that third or fourth drink right then I'd mix in And you know, duels, but that's about it. You know? I don't know, like maybe, you know. Lettuce, you well, I can never add my ma. You know, people who I know you don't drink like, you know, duels or Heineken or something. But here is a local local beer called hairless dog brewing. And in case you wanted to know, you know, we've heard of dry January. It might be late for some of us, but this is sober October. You could catch it now and make it through the end of the month. But I'm in. It is a thing. So there's this is a local beer, by Jeff Hollander and Paul Pierre. Inner David Piano from Soul Asylum's Brother, and it's called Hairless Dog Brewing. And it's the first American Craft Beer brand with truly alcohol free products, so alcohol never touches it in the brewing process it all It's supposed to be really good. So it's probably good if there's a good good flavor name, hairless dog brewing not to be confused with spank the halibut chardonnay that Lori and I are developing, spank the well. Did you see that picture? Dave Burners, brother Looks just like him. Exactly. Yeah, they do that a little better looking, huh? I think this one's cuter. He might be younger. Yeah, He scared her to me anyway. Yeah, I thought, but yes, You're right. Well, he wasn't the lead in a right hand. There you go. You know time is Maninder. Maybe Ah, Cory's look at Jamba and Jovi. But the way he dances I mean, and he's been. I don't know He's bad example. But he looks good. Yeah, a dagger looks good. Okay. Last time I saw soul sell me. I thought he looked good. And he is a great from in there. Yeah, he is good. Now I think what we saw him where we see And we don't know what it felt like the lake was a period islander. Something anyway was a hot, sweaty day in the hair hair was greasy. Look at that's all It was known site. We were being rock'n'roll frontman. Judge er's Yes that day because they're like, Wow. Yeah, because really, I wanted to meet him. 100 so much I love you know how much I love that one album The grave dancers? Yes. Great dancers, union. I just played that non stop. Non stop. Agreed out, Okay. Do you guys have Now. Lori and I are not gamers. Back. Okay, unless you count Park man, Right Pac Man or Pong? Or if I happen to be somewhere where it's a pachinko parlor game like a jinx? A lot of those around you know what that is, But centipede. Do you remember playing? Okay, So tell I kind of think this is a great idea because My boys are gamers, although I've fought it. Truth. And now I just tried so hard not to get him to do it. But you were kind of a little bit of a gamer. Sure. I mean, I grew up in 80 side Centipedes right in my wheelhouse. Okay, so Atari was planning On opening up game themed hotels all around the United States before the pandemic hit. So this is what is going to be in, but they are. They're first ones going to open up. They've got two in Las Vegas and Phoenix. And so what The plan is is it's going to be a hotel with vintage arcades and pop culture, nightclubs, and then all the games will be scattered throughout. Who's going to be the flag like who's is going to be the hotel partner? It doesn't GTs. But I That isn't even right cause my dyslexia flip two of the letters, so it's gsd. Second time around whoever they are, but Atari themed gaming hunter. I could see my kids great. You shopping for their hotel flag right now. No, thanks to GSD group there. Somebody the fight. The name is gonna be a tarty bye. Hi Hilton by Sheraton. But whoever GSDF it's certainly gonna hit guys my age. I'm like 48. Anybody that played Atari in the eighties, which is rain.

"D Dot order We'll take a look at the NFL scoreboard coming up here in just a moment, but first Susie Wharton had a chance to sit down with Dalton riser ahead of today. Broncos Bucks game. All right. Thank you. Ryan. Hey, Dalton. Let's go back. First of all to the game against the Steelers, and it was a game that I think it's an offensive line. You probably take very personally with the seven sacks, six of them. Which after school and one withdrew before he was injured. How do you Azzedine go back this past week and look at that and figure out how not to let that happen again. Most definitely, and you know, we look at every game we take it personally, You know whether it was the first game against the Titans or the next week against the Steelers. They brought the house. They knew that we had a new quarterback in there. They might have known that he doesn't move around as much as Drew does in the pocket. And they came after us and they brought extra guys almost times, one more than we could block. But to be honest with you, there was times where we didn't have enough to block the guys. And sometimes we just got be in certain areas to let the Q B get sex. There's an offensive line. We take it personal, Whether they bring 3467 or eight guys, we want to block everybody want to keep our quarterbacks claimed so. No matter what the excuse is our seven sacks is inexcusable. And we have to be way have to be better than that. We're going up against another good defence against the Buccaneers, and we're gonna be ableto. We've gotta be able to contain them and not let them get all over jobs or school. Absolutely, you know, talking about them bringing extra guys there was that one play in the fourth quarter where the safety got through. Does it earn you more as an offensive line when those DVDs come through you expected from the The linebackers. But when those guys in the back get through is that just just kind of just rub even more raw? I think no matter what, when you see your quarterback in hits who tell you where it rubs you the wrong way, And that makes you mad for me in particular, and it would make me more mad of the defensive tackle or defensive end. Was freaking havoc because we know that those are the guys that we want to block every single play. Ah, lot of the times when they're bringing a safety. He's the extra guy. Sometimes he's on the running back. But most the time they're the extra Blitzer that we have to throw hot off of So they know that they're not getting blocked. Now if they beat me to get to the quarterback then and it's going to be a different story. But you were mad. Then they do talk about the play of Jeff for school, though, because he made some great throws. And really, I mean, a lot of people praise him for what he was able to come in. And do he did a really good job You know, he brings Ah US air of calmness to the huddle. He did. He did such a great job he comes in. He knows his playbook. He was calm. He kept all of us common, sometimes not the most calm player out there on the field. I play with emotion, a lot of the time and what I think Jeff did a great job of was was coming in keeping everyone calm, acting like a vet, not being scared. Knowing his plays. He sat in there and threw the ball he got. He took a couple of big licks. You know they're in the pocket, and I really respect that. And on top of doing all that for us, he's just a great guy. I couldn't speak more highly of Jeff and really thankful for what he came and helped us do. Let's not real quick about this. Tampa Bay defense got some big names on there that make big plays Shack Barrett, a guy that we're very familiar with in Denver played at Colorado State and that, of course, dominance. Ooh, Jason Paul Pierre, these guys knee issues. You guys have your work cut out for you Sunday. Yes, you know, just like I kind of talked to every week until you and the NFL. You know, you just listed those guys and I think they've only allowed 100 yards in two games or something like that. So it's an offensive line. I really feel like it was the same way last year. I kept thinking after this week, you know, then we might have a defensive front. That's not as good but every week just keeps bringing more and more guys and good defensive front so We know it's gonna be a challenge, and we have to be up for that. We've got to run the ball so open up the past game. And then when it comes, the past came, we gotta bail to keep Jeff clean. All right. Very good. Don't things good luck against the bucks. That is if Dalton rise nor sponsored by Coloradans for responsible energy development. Learn how natural gases are clean energy future at credit dot org's that c r e d dot or Ryan back to you. Thank you very much, Susy. Good stuff there with Dalton riser and yes, they're going to have to Great job up front to help out. Jeff Driscoll is he is the starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos. Let's take a quick look at the NFL scoreboard brought you by Geico 15 minutes could save you 15% or more on car insurance..

"What it takes for a home loan to fit your budget and your family. Well, Rocket can. Hey, Thanks So much for joining us, everybody, We appreciate it. Damon A Mendel are with you. Six until 10 Eastern time. Three until seven Pacific Monday through Friday. And I'll see you on Sunday for Sunday morning football as well. One hour from now. We've got Dan Shaughnessy for the Boston Globe will talk to him about the Celtics situation. They stare 31 in the face right now, a deficit of the Miami heat going into tonight's Game five. We'll ask him about the debate topic we had yesterday on the show, which caused a lot of social media attention, which was if the Nets get to an MBA finals before the Celtics D'oh. Is it looked? That is a disaster for the Celtics, considering the head start that they had after that crazy trade of Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierre's also the Patriots might be won and won, but optimism around Foxboro that they could be much better than People thought coming into the season. So talk today. Shaughnessy about all that coming up here one hour from now in 20 minutes, were stunned to a news and in 40 minutes Super Dave's college football picks But let's begin by mentioning it's a target demo Friday. Which means I want to know I want to know. Where you are. How you are listening. And what you're doing. That's very important. Those three things where you are How you're listening and what you're doing. Every week. Andrew Kaplan, The Wizard of Watch DEA puts together a mean We post it on social media, and that's what you have to look forward to. And today's MIM After yesterday's a raging inferno of a debate throughout the Celtics is me and Marie as As Daniel Stern and Dan Ackroyd. And bogus is Damon Wayans. Hog tied Bow Gish. Frey. Celtic Pride spoof. And it is all types of wonderful. It's as wonderful as you think it is in your head if you haven't seen it yet. Darryl Tweets. I say it every week, but I'll say it again. Cap is just a total master of the means and Wizard of the stream. Truly a valuable asset to Team D a hashtag means maestro. He's amazing. He's amazing on Photoshop is amazing on editing. He's amazing on the stream. He's amazing at everything that he does, and he's amazing and also knowing exactly how to pull the pin on the grenade to make us look foolish. He is just a master at it. I mean, like yesterday. He edited the clip that we posted on social media to make it seem like more as thought that Brooklyn Nets one the trade against the Celtics five years ago. To just get a little up on Twitter by Celtics honks and basically everybody around the embassy. It was brilliant. He's brilliant. Brass cap knows exactly what he's doing, because have you noticed that every time he uses your face in any mean on a photo shop project, it's always the face of yuan. To me one of the top one of the bottom five worst moments of your life when you try to make your beard and your goatee jet black and you did in your eyebrows to look like wooly Willy. He has used that picture incessantly since the day that you did it always knowing it's one of your worst looks ever. Not only that the A. I did not share this with the class About two weeks ago, I had to run into target for something, and I would see you wearing a mask so you could see is your eyes up? And I ran into a girl. I went to high school with who? I had not seen her since high school round, you know, Raina bar or something like that. Let's say I haven't seen her in three years or something like that. She follows like a lot of you know my former classmates to a lot of the show stuff because they think you know it's cool that you know we're doing the show and she said to me, I didn't recognize you. You know me and my friends been talking. We thought you did something really weird with your eyebrows. That's all we keep seeing on this show are these Hers and names with you with your eyebrows like that. And I gotta be honest. Like we wonder what the heck you did yourself. If you don't you're painted on eyebrows or something. I said you thought that was really made you say? Well, she goes Will the show uses it so often that we thought that was really you Now, I said, Can you look at my realistic Graham or Facebook or something like that? So people captain so good. He has people. I went to school with thinking that that is me. Currently he he's diabolical. He knows exactly what he knows exactly how to plant the evidence. And so in today's target demo mean, which might be his best work ever. Me and you stealing bogus. His Celtic bride spoof you with the crazy ridiculous painted in just for men, Beard. It's so good and so quickly. It almost makes you feel like Capri did a bunch from mothership at the movies and had this one ready to go. Like Would he put my head on Kevin Costner's head in field of dreams. You know that famous Field of dreams DVD cover. Everybody thought I started wearing a denim jacket and tight jeans were like Where did you get those tight jeans and like that's not really my jeans. That's Kevin Costner's jeans for 1988. But that's how good cap is on these means and Photoshopped. It is unbelievable or it's hysterical. You could go toe to save his picture forever. Could a Twitter or go to Facebook. "Show. No. Dave Logan. No. Rick Lewis know Kathie Lee, you got stuck with me for another 90 minutes or so before hand things off to Mandy Connell. Brandon Crystal got millennial Grant Grant Smith on the other side of the glass, and my next guest needs really no introduction. Fun fact, the Eagles are his favorite band of all time. Told you all morning Hall of Famer, TNT analyst and host of one of the biggest podcast in the world. The steam room, Sir Charles Barkley. Chuck, what's going on? Man. I'm good. Just chilling today. Relaxing got off stage. I'm a sit around and watch. A couple of games tonight, But today I'm just screwing around. Well, I know you're a hockey fan. Four o'clock eastern, two o'clock here. The ABS and Get to Game seven to get the ABS and stars and in Vegas and the Canucks Tonight's a two game sevens. When you're out screwing around, you'll get toe, you know, see some exciting hockey hopefully Yeah. You know the abs, you know, bare minerals who's I think it's fantastic. Pick the ABS, though. We understand the cup. And when they were down, the 31 eye was like this is gonna be a tough one. But to win the last game like they did. I think they're going to close it out tonight. Um You know, I do. I think I do. I think the Avalanche is going to win. The other game seven man You know, Vegas I was I was actually having drinks with could not fan last night and he was telling me what did I think I said, man. Mutism as a guy who blew a 3 to 1 lead. When that when that moment, um, store's going I say. You know, this is unique because usually one of those games they're at home. These situations are unique, and I knew that myself When we didn't win Game six at home, we have to go back on the rope of Game seven. Gonna be tough us away In that game, The team got so much cos up the winning five and six I don't know how it is in the bubble, But I do tell you have 31 and you get the game seven. I think it's a team that won the last two games as to confidence. Yeah, and they certainly have the momentum. Of course they are a little banged up, but they also have the best player in the series. And Nathan is maybe the best playing hockey and might win them BP this year so but I didn't get you on just a breakdown. The hockey game wanted to talk a little bit. About the Nuggets, who did make history unlike that tough loss you had with the sons. When you lost to Houston up 31. They became the 12th team to come back from down 31. Laid it all on the line almost blew things toe of rimmed out Mike Connelly, three, and they just I think ran out of gas last night. Will they be able to dig deep enough to even get back in this Siri's, or they just overmatched and maybe a little too tired? No, they're not Tower that's in this queue Stages overmatch. It's just a bad matchup. For them, They don't really have an advantage anywhere. On. I don't think that, uh, this team is going to let one guy beat them three straight games. Uh, so we're really two straight games on because once you say he was amazing, but I don't think I don't see how they can win a game. To be honest with you. They got no advantages anywhere. Um And I know people got to use the game seven games because there was no traveling. And so you can take that It was a quick turnaround, but the Clippers just a better team. Yeah, I think we knew. I think we'd listen. I take care about a new seven months ago or whatever we started. It was gonna come down to the Lakers and Clippers and I have seen nothing. In the playoffs so far that make me think anything different. Yeah, And that's something I was curious about. I understood the psychological issues. Maybe Paul Pierre Paul Pierce. Paul George made a little more than I would have expected. Being in the bubble of our families is showing up, you know, loved ones. Obviously, kiddo. We saw plenty of those running around last night, which I thought was cool. But The lack of travel and being able to go right to treatment into your room. Assuming that they have comfortable enough beds. I would imagine it those three nice resorts, the bed's comfy enough. You don't have to get on planes. You have to get on Busses. You're literally just a bus rides a three minute ride you, Khun just focus on basketball. I would think that from a recovery standpoint, it's better being in the bubble in some ways. Well, this they've got everything in the bubble. I mean, they get they got free Manny Petty's barbers. They can click off. They confessed. They got everything. An obstinate he got state of the art medical stuff. This is just a bad matchup for the Nuggets. And like I say they got very lucky, uh, that first serious because I have no idea what they didn't do anything. This little devil. You're another guy. Go 50 42 50. And make no adjustment. I just makes no sense whatsoever. I mean, after he gets the 1st 50 okay. He had a hell of a game. Second game he gets for the to your leg. Okay? We polished just stole him bound in Game seven..

B. is passing we kinda talk about it in today I June seventeenth two thousand ten the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Celtics in game seven of the twenty ten NBA finals this the Lakers win the championship and Kobe Bryant gets his fifth title it really puts them into a whole different class if you're looking at Colby in in the all time greats camp pulled him into the obvious top ten he gives them a a leg to stand on when you look at other greats like Magic Johnson Larry Bird Tim Duncan it's in that same exact class if we go back to that game game seven kind of cool because two years before the Celtics win their title with that crew ray Allen Paul Pierce Kevin Garnett the Lakers come back the following year they beat the magic in the finals and you get these two teams the Celtics and the Lakers doubling in the NBA finals like good old times like the eighties in the NBA's prime and it's a seven game series in in really a slog of a game seven the Lakers winning eighty three to seventy nine and your watches game and it's just slow it was very slow Chris and I was actually in LA for this game my sister was graduating from college this year and she lives in LA so I was in LA and she was like what you want to do it and I'm like we're gonna the city's gonna burn like city we're gonna watch let alone watch things like it is going to be great like this city is going to be an absolute light just mob scene of celebration after because the Lakers are within its like Kobe is not like I can just come to me like he's not losing this game seven at home like it is not it is not happening so ultimately you know you go through the game it's a slow game it's a close game and they win and it was I've been a part of the few celebrations here you know for the Blackhawks for the white Sox I wasn't here I was in in Cleveland when the cubs won so I wasn't a part of the craziness when and when the cubs won here but ultimately to see a city celebrate like that who just love Kobe love the Lakers you know you're driving around you see everybody's got their Kobe stuff on everybody's got their Lakers stuff fine you know it's a great game it's a slow game but it's still fun and entertaining close game and ultimately it was just so much fun to be a part of that city when is that because who knows why you know when those were you from just party with everybody else don't care it was great yeah and in the end you know enough at the end of the game the Lakers come back there I think there's on thirteen a one point are you have a good game from metta world peace here twenty points Kobe at twenty three and fifteen rebounds I nineteen points from Paul good soul I ten points from Derek Fisher seven points from him off the bench on the Celtics were led in scoring in the contest in game seven they had eighteen points from Paul Pierre seventeen from gar net and all love five starters in double digits thirteen from Alan's fourteen from rondo eleven from Wallace so you know the Boston Celtics they lose the game here is the end of the game game seven Lakers Celtics in twenty ten.

"Farm will be there for this stage and every stage after like a good neighbor state farm. Is there out like the Paul Pierce? We call him the truth. Even a Lotta, what he says isn't true. I liked it. He so outspoken. I really do I like you know. Everybody doesn't like him on TV, but I like an ex player that speaks his mind and. So. He has spoken his mind today in an in an emphatic way. And he's talked about Lebron James and y believe it or not. He doesn't have Lebron in his top five. In fact, he doesn't have Lebron in top seven players of all time. Here's something that that hasn't gotten a lot of attention rob. Jalen rose was on that show that was. Maria Taylor Paul Pierce. Jay Williams and Jalen rose having this discussion on NBA countdown. Jalen is said. He's actually doesn't have the Brian his top five. But he said that Lebron's not close to the goat, and he's mentioned. He has passed several guys I think he said Magic Karim. May I'm not sure if you put Kobe headed Lebron, but he's he was doubting like. A Greenlee with pierce as he was talking. This is what I want to say. And I heard what you said about Paul Pierre Saint Stuff. And and Whatnot Chris and we've had this conversation how it goes so many many years ago. Came up with a term called jockocracy. This is where the networks was starting to hire a lot of former athletes to be. On television and analyst, or whatever and he called the jockocracy. Here's why Chris. I have a hard time sometimes. When you talk about athletes who get into this business. They have a bias. That they can help because they were. They were playing in the game. They will on that level. They believe that they're as good as anybody else. And so. This is where this comes in, and this is where I'm Gonna I'm GonNa say I'm GonNa. Take all the Brom. It's obvious that they don't like him. And I'm not saying Chris you can make your arguments and pick, and there's no right or wrong answer. Okay so I'm I'm open to that. But this is why. People sometimes can't wound up when you dealing and allowing players. To pick all STAR team to pick. The hall of Famers took to pick awards because those guys wouldn't vote for Lebron for the All Star game. Where's that coming from? You play at that level. You know how hard it is to play Chris how hard it is to make it and you might not like a guy okay. You might not. The he hasn't had a rivalry. Re Lebron those. Do you see what I'm saying so so Paul Pierce can do all. He wants to make the case that he doesn't have Lebron. Top seven, because of X. Y. and Z., but that's not the real reason. It's not and anybody who believes that that's why Paul peers is not putting Lebron. His top seven is because he moved around, and not because of all the other stats, and all the other stuff. That Lebron has done. You can't buy. Paul Pierce doesn't like. Lebron had a robbery wouldn't Lebrons and that's why he's doing it. I don't know about Jalen Rose I. Don't know what what Jay Jay's has. Ron I'm just sayin', Chris, I don't know. But that's why I keep telling people you think. All media whereby? We a niche. We hate Lebron. All of this other stuff that comes out. Chris, we have no dog. We have no pony in the race horse in the race. We don't. Players have horses in the race. Even if it's not about you knew might be friendly with somebody else. You're friendly with Jordan. Sneakers from I. Don't know you're friendly with somebody else. Kareem signed you autographs when you were a kid I. Don't know right right, but the, but now I I can't by I. Take Paul Pierce Take would have. A blade of grass. That just doesn't hold water for me because I know that there's something else there if you want if you want to be Paul Pierce. You could just say up front Chris. Hey Meal Lebron were rivaled. WOAH! I can never put that guy on my top ten here. For that, but here's what I say and I don't agree with Pierce's take a as I've said many times, and you agree. We both have Lebron number two right behind Jordan so I. don't agree with what he's saying. Make along with his writing, but I'm not sure. Obviously here's. Dr Or Lebron, but he did give reasons. I don't agree with him. But he did give reasons for having these other guys who obviously are fantastic players in their own right ahead to Lebron. This is just biased because he didn't like Lebron or if. He really believes it. I think he's wrong either way..

They believe that they're as good as anybody else. And so this is where this comes in. And this is where I'm GONNA I'm GonNa say I'm GonNa take all the Brom. It's obvious that they don't like him. And I'm not saying Chris. You can make your arguments and pick and there's no right or wrong answer okay. So I'm I'm open to that but this is why people sometimes can't wound up when you're dealing and allowing players to pick all star team to pick the hall of famers took to pick awards because those guys wouldn't vote for Lebron for the All Star game. Where's that coming from? You play at that level. You know how hard it is to play Chris. How hard it is to make it and you might not like a guy. Okay you might not the. He hasn't had a rivalry. Re Lebron. Those do you see what I'm saying. So so Paul Pierce can do all. He wants to make the case that he doesn't have Lebron top seven because of X. Y. and Z. But that's not the real reason it's not and anybody who believes that that's why Paul peers is not putting Lebron. His top seven is because he moved around and not because of all the other stats and all the other stuff that Lebron has done. You can't buy Paul. Pierce doesn't like Lebron had a robbery wouldn't Lebrons and that's why he's doing it. I don't know about Jalen rose. I don't know what what J. J. Has Ron. I'm just sayin' Chris I don't know but that's why I keep telling people when you think all media whereby we a niche. We hate Lebron all of this other stuff. That comes out Chris. We have no dog. We have no pony in the race horse in the race. We don't players have horses in the race. Even if it's not about you knew might be friendly with somebody else. You're friendly with Jordan sneakers from I don't know you're friendly with somebody else. Kareem signed you autographs. When you were a kid I don't know right right but the but now I I can't by I take Paul Pierce take would have a blade of grass. That just doesn't hold water for me because I know that there's something else there if you want. If you want to be Paul Pierce you could just say up. Front Chris. Hey meal. Lebron were rivaled Woah. I can never put that guy on my top ten here for that. But here's what I say and I don't agree with Pierce's take a as I've said many times and you agree. We both have Lebron number two right behind Jordan so I don't agree with what he's saying. Make along with his writing but I'm not sure. Obviously here's Dr Lebron. But he did give reasons. I don't agree with him but he did. Give reasons for having these other guys who obviously are fantastic players in their own right ahead to Lebron. This is just biased. Because he didn't like Lebron or if he really believes it I think he's wrong either way..

"Date on Twitter we learned it late in the week when what was I would describe as a gut punch that the NBA was looking into possible ways and having conversations with the Players Association in the NBA about possibly canceling the remainder of this season and it comes largely due in part to how China handled their basketball league if they tried to bring it back it failed miserably in the NBA and like most other sports leagues who had been keeping an eye on what exactly China is going to do they solve this and now they start to have some questions as to whether or not they realistically could do the same with their league and this sucks because you kind of want the FDA to come back not even kind of you want the NBA come back I mean how many of us would love to watch a Knicks cavs game right now probably everyone like I love to watch the clippers Lakers game even more but I would I would take next cab right now because we've been so drained of sports for we're coming up on just about a full month we're not quite there yet though it feels like a lot longer but we're coming up on about a full month with no walls live sports in the continental United States and that's really really strange so Brian Windhorst reported this to the league's talking with the Players Association and they are angling their discussions as to how can they figure out financially how to make this work we know that some of the contracts in the NBA are about to take a little bit of a hit because they are not currently playing games not a good thing for this for if you want to be a little bit optimistic and I do my best to be optimistic here if you want to be optimistic they don't have to decide if they want to cancel that the the season anytime soon so these are very much just preliminary talks in this conversation but the fact that these talks are happening is something that is a little scary and what's even scarier is that these talks are seemingly happening more than talks about revamping the sees it and that's the part of the support that hit me the hardest because this that speaks to the fact that this is a little bit more real than I thought it was because like I said I'm trying my best to be optimistic so I know they don't really have to make a final decision in till June or July time frame as to whether or not they want to cancel the rest of the season that gives me hope but the fact that we are at a point in time now in early April and the discussions have been more based around canceling the season instead of bringing it back is a tough pill to swallow because when the season was originally suspended what we first heard was we are going to we assess this in thirty days and that thirty day period is coming up in about a week and a half and it sure looks like it's not coming back anytime soon there was a okay where you will will reassess and it may late may mid late may early June and that's what the reports had the next week and you still looking at that time frame like I don't I don't really know if we're going to be able to make this work at this point we're not gonna have fans so if you're looking for the NBA come back with a packed stadium that's not going to happen but still because we don't know all of the dangers of this virus yet and how to handle it it's gonna be really difficult for leaks and for players who have families to say yes I want to come back and play now there's been a couple ideas floated around as to exactly how we can get them in secure locations I mean we see in the cruise ship idea that's been floated around everywhere which doesn't really that doesn't really make a lot of sense at all to be honest I sat there and thought about it for about five minutes yesterday and I could figure out a way with this made perfect sense because a cruise ship is one of the places that you maybe don't want to be right now now the other one tested on board that's great but do you realize how many people need to be on board a cruise ship to actually make the things function but you don't have to be moving the ship it could just be parked in a dock or whatever that word I don't know but it's a part but she got upset it could just be sitting in a dock and you still have to have a ton of people on that ship to make it function you got to have people that are gonna be willing to cook for these NBA players and clean the rooms because odds are there not to clean the rooms and can you just imagine how crazy a cruise ship would be with hundreds and hundreds of NBA players on it if you thought the grog cruise was crazy just imagine hundreds and hundreds of NBA players who had just been locked in their homes for the better part of months now they're free to do basically whatever they want on a cruise ship it's going to be complete pandemonium and I don't know I mean I know cruise ships are big enough to if you wanted to carry every single team you could do that but again I don't know if that's a safe thing to do I don't know if you want to thirty teams all placed on one ship because at that point in the off chance that if you do test everybody and everyone comes in queen of the off chance the virus doesn't make it onto the ship and you have all thirty teams on there you're screwed like there's no coming back from that and there are a couple of the players who know what it's like to make it through this corona virus pandemic thing they have the disease they beat the disease so great for them but they don't want that again you can get it twice supposedly and if you have all thirty teams in a centralized location where you can't really escape from if that virus gets on the ship everybody has it the next after we will have people on multiple ships but that you're traveling back and forth it just becomes this whole big thing so the cruise ship idea which sounds fun it's unrealistic that's not going to happen I mean maybe area fifty one I think that was kind of a joke I think Paul Pierre said that I'm hoping that was a joke but also I mean I'd like to see was an area fifty one I have some questions about that now the NBA is doing their best to you I guess kind of make it up to us a little bit there have that two K. tournament which I have not watched it all because I don't want to watch guys playing video games or watch the play basketball with the NBA has had discussions with ESPN this quarter to whoa which about televising a horse competition involving several high profile players players would shoot in isolation presumably after home gyms and they would match shots against competitors and I read this report and I automatically do like yes if this happened I would watch it but it's one of those things we read this report you know that you would watch and it's like man I just wish we had a real basketball but I love horse if you grew up playing basketball at all you probably love horse or pig or yellow submarine whatever the hell you played but I don't know if I want to watch I will watch it because I don't have anything else to do not watching tiger kings I don't have anything else to do here but I just it makes is one of those things is one of those reports when you see it you're like can we just can we just have basketball that's All I Want right now I just want to see lebron dunk on whoever is unfortunate enough to be the page I just want to see somebody get their ankles broken I don't care for it I don't care I just want to see all of that and it does look like we'll see that anytime in the near future I coming up J. for mono was kind enough to join us he is the host of the sports spectrum great.

"Yeah, they stopped. The stock went down right after that. This is something we've been saying all alone us is that these players need to get paid. And we've definitely made a big huge emphasis because we've watched his young man be the face of college. But. Some people really had to miss the boat on this crew to get you central Arkansas really missed out. Short. No all the job sharing trying to hide Scotty and the draft and eventually being foiled because the word got out on him too much to take him earlier than expected. It's worth going to look that up. I mean, we see you in college we've seen in college. Because you wanted that money. I don't know if we're getting closer. Honestly, because I don't know if I can count on the to do the right thing, even when facing heavier pressure, but I know the pressure's heavier because I know that on shows like this a lot of other media debate. It's sort of a universal thing. Yes. These guys should be benefiting. They should get a piece of the coaches are getting shoop contracts off of what these players are doing. And also the pressure is going to be coming from the NBA because we now know a few years that one and done rule for the NBA side is going to be out and players will be able to come straight from high school and the they beat up the G league. G league international opportunities are gonna start rising up. You're seeing the big brawler brand everyone's trying to start these leagues because they know it's not fair. I got suspended because my roommate Luke Walton his dad was doing was doing NBA finals game. So I was staying at the house working out with him and his brothers. They're like, hey, do you guys want to come up to the finals game? Yes. Sure gets us. Tickets NCWA finds out about this. I suspended for a game. That's crazy. I got suspended for game. And it was like his dad is an alumni UCLA had nothing to do with this. He's my roommate in college of your roommate in college can't invite you to a concert can't take you to a basketball game. They can't take you to to go. See a show without getting suspended like these are things in this happened twenty years ago. This is asinine. These guys need to be able to make money off of there. Like there's going to be pressure because that kind of stuff keeps happening in the NBA is now offering more opportunities for these guys at back at your type of age, Tracy. I just don't know if even with like more competition for these guys services. And the G league and international. I still don't know if the ended up lay is gonna do it's in their own best interest. We know they're not going to do. It's in the players best interests. They've shown that I don't even know if they're going to be able to get out of their own way enough to do within their own best interest. We hope so Zion making his Turney debut just a few hours. He is of course, expected to be the number one overall pick. But as you can see we got into this discussion the other day, not many number one picks took their team all the way in the big dance. Paul Pierre was out here team MAC, and he was using himself as of when. He's on the same..
