"It feels like the crowd is going to be back in full force. So I just hope that it's a great race because I think they need a great race after what has been a pretty lopsided championship. Yeah, I think China I think I agree with Tim to a point, but I think bathys is the race that always always seems to deliver. You know, we've had plenty of seasons in the past. We've had people dominate and we get there and then something comes from left field or there's always something that happens. It never fails to leave, and that's what makes the place. So great. And I think, you know, the job that changed on this year has been unbelievable. He's just in a different in a different space as well personally. I think he's very comfortable. I think a lot of those things that have sort of hung off in the past have disappeared. You know, now he's got a few of those boxes tick for himself. He's being allowed to do other things like his rallying and the other things he's looking at. And I think that him having that freedom, again, as long as he's raised anything, he writes a Billy card or an electric scooter, if he had to, but as long as he's writing and he's in that space, he's having a good time. He's continually working on his craft, you know, we constantly see him up at Paul Morris place cutting some laps in a Toyota 86 or whatever it is. And those sort of lessons are a great thing that young drivers need to learn. If you want to be at the top of your game, it doesn't matter, put your ego in the cupboard and if you're a writer, you're a racer. It's certainly interesting to consider that a man who of course both of you are involved with Scott McLaughlin. The last time anyone was a dominant was his second championship, that being in 2019 when he was leading my 562 points at the end of the season. Of course, at this stage, China is leading by 525. Now, they are remarkable numbers because that obviously means they both Triple H and chain are going to benefit knowing they don't have to protect a point blade. They've got that there. So that's an extraordinary thing for them to have that as an advantage, isn't it? That's definitely the case. And then the other thing you got to bring in the contention is these code driver. I mean, really, you know, gas tender and it's really the only a plus a plus combination in the field and the next one that comes close to it is block clean using Shane's teammate regularly and Jamie win cup who's come off the bench to be his code driver. Obviously 7 time champion. So whether we could call Brock and I plus Brody's point is probably debatable. But if you're looking at who you're going to punt on in the race and not by 9, they have a little flutter down and again. You know, you always start with the add bath as you always start with the driver combinations and what there are some very strong ones, very good, very strong ones in the field. I think you certainly got to start with those two driver combinations. When you're looking at the odds of having a bit in the rice so do you look at a guy all three of you, do you look at or something probably has to go wrong for car 97 to not win when you have Genghis Bergen in the form he's in ten to earlier in these week had a whole test day to himself. It feels like he's going to be up to speed and he's always great at mount panorama. They have the best team around them doing the best stops calling the best strategy like it feels like. It feels like something has to go wrong for this team for this car for it not to win. Everyone else is almost playing for second unless it encounters some sort of problems. It's an interesting question, Tim because you always seem to have someone that everything seems right. And then you get to bathurst and like crush seriously, how much had you put on the week before? We're Saturday now with a week before baathist. And how much did you put on your good mate chess master and lay hallsworth last year? Yeah, well actually back them or one I want some money. But yeah, but that bit was placed after Thursday or Friday. I wouldn't mind betting. Now, I had a couple of guys out there, I think, from memory, because I looked at, again, looking at driver combinations and I thought, you know, they were one of the strongest combinations in the field. And if I look down the list and I take that philosophy into play to the sheet and you go to go straight to walk on shore and look at chaz and then Fabian. And we'll apply it in out of the cop full time. You know, he's pretty handy. He knows his way around the place, and I think chaz is certainly on his game. And if you look inside, then you've got Nick burkitt, who is obviously won the race before. And he's got his bum in the seat full-time and you've got Warren laugh who's been on the podium. I think they only certainly not a record number of times. I think Lance holds that record, but he's been there many, many, many times before. And I think those two driver combinations are also also very solid. There's so many wild cards in the event, but there's literally so many wild cards in the event this year crush. Focus heavily on to Craig glance and of course, Greg Murphy, who is the number two driver to Richie stanway and then Declan Fraser, of course, getting his a driver debut in the triple 8 super cheap auto car. Yeah, I think that, you know, and then you got all the third wall card is matched harder and multiple cars. So you've got three wild cards in the event. They all deserve to be there. They've all got different reasons for being there. Can any of them win the race? No. But as you said, anything can happen. But you realistically, you're not going to be looking at one of those three cows winning the race, but they're all there for different reasons. Obviously, the standard Y Murphy character counts boost money, it's there for a reason. There's the super cheap auto card. There's obviously there for a reason the clowns and Declan are great things to take get your shot to come out and roll around the place and add to his experience, which is great. So they're all there for different reasons. And as I said, they deserve to be there. You're not sort of running with blacks who are going to cause you too many issues. They still are going to run it, run a reasonable pace because of their experience. So I've been there before. So they're in the mix, but when I say in the mix, they're running around, but not causing too many issues. And that's the great thing about this race now is you've got 28 or 29 cars, 28 cars. There's no one that that's there that really doesn't deserve to be there. Or will cause issues because they're too slow or so far off the pace or you might get a situation with someone who has a brain snap. But the chances are that there are few and far between nowadays. So it's going to be flat out. I think the 97 cars probably been in the same position in the last three or four years, almost something goes wrong. It's going to, it's going to win the race. So all you need is a light safety car. A little bit of a wrong call on fuel strategy and all of a sudden you're right there. And you've got ten lap sprint to the end. You know, as I say, you just got to be there for the last ten laps and you're a shot. It's been a couple of years since the forge one being Scotty back in 20 20. I'm just wondering, do you think, given that three of the top four, the points are forward? Do you think that's a possibility as am I actually shine again? June it's like that one crush. Well, I think there's a few things, you know, obviously I think the Ford aerodynamically approved an excellent community issues. I think it's probably a better car for that racetrack. Straight line speed. So I think they're all going to be mixed the Ford trains that obviously love to see that victory there and close the gap because this will be Holden's last official run at the mountain if you like. And I think that they like to go out with a victory under the banner if you like before that the gen three cars coming next year. So I'm going to be plenty of interesting. There's plenty of other angles, you know, it's 50 years since Brock's quickly there in 72. It's all those things are sort of linked to the Holden brand. And I think David sort of well, they're not selling cars out the front door. Those fans that are in that are rushed onto that brand would certainly like to go out with a bang if you like, pardon the pump. What is to go sit on a DJI? Are they driving combat and I know you spoke about their a plus, you need an a plus or an a combination they crushed. Do you have Tony delbert? And Alex Davison, where do you rank them high enough that they can be serious contenders? It does seem a joint shame that's got has elected not to come back and race. It would have been so great imagine that the hype around the event if he was strapping himself into that number 17 alongside will this weekend. Yeah, I think that would have been great to see him here, but obviously he's also doing construct and what he's doing in the U.S. he's coming back as you know next month and we'll be part of the TV coverage. The Adelaide race. But yeah, I would have created a great amount of interest, but it's tiny and Alex got enough sleep turns for the year. I think so. They've got a ton of experience. And they'll be able to do it. They're part of a very obviously very solid team. They've been quite consistent this year. Stepped on themselves a couple of times, but overall, they're doing it, they're doing a solid job, I think it's things that sort of plug the gap. Those two guys haven't experienced and are quick enough to be able to keep the car and needs to be for the other two guys. Again, obviously being quite impressive this year and a third and fourth in the championship in antoni will. To be able to keep them keep them in the show and be right there at the end. It's interesting Tim and crush that we have seen DGR with some real pit lane problems and we haven't been at a race that's all about pit lane and strategy. So we're going to the race where if you do it early, you might be able to save yourself, but when you come down to that last run at the end, you can dial yourself in or die yourself out of the race very quickly. We actually ran a story on speak if a dot com on that this week and talking about how to stops at different compared to the sprint races and how that works, but they have adjusted they said it wasn't necessarily something that was obvious as people might think there was a couple of things that need they analyzed it in a change that up and their confidence that those things have been sorted out for that first, even though you've got a different scenario in regards to the amount of fuel and brake pads and how much time you got to be able to process all that rather than in and out with a simple change of tires. So I think that slowing it down is always been the motto of those teams and I think that that's not necessarily going to be applied with those longer stops. Yeah, I find it odd that the first mean there's cars look awesome the dick Johnson cars and if they 1000th thrice, but it's just so weird that for such a big team that's had so much success in the past half decade I sort of feel like they're flowing under the radar heading into the biggest race of the year. So I don't know whether it is the co drivers that people just don't have enough faith in them or whether it's just even when you talk about forward contenders and we haven't got to them yet, but it does feel like that monster car with waters and mosses is the leading Mustang contender for more. Yeah, I agree. I think they're going to be right there. We know that tickford can also step on themselves a bit by the time put in that position. But I certainly became water as James Moffat combination. Again, as James had enough sleep time, this year, again, he's got the experience he's been on the podium there, he solid job in recent years. And certainly he's one of the handful of the blogs as a high gun that you'd want in your one of your team and I think you'll go there, your keys head down, do it in age to do and camel camel punch on. I mean, we're thinking qualifying, if we get your shot, we'll certainly be one of the contenders for the poll because he's got that outright speed for that poll app. So I think they'll certainly be in the mix. And you know, if you were looking at manufacturing point of view, would you put them at some of the forward leaf? Yeah, probably, but just just,

"From some of these theme owners. Jamie win cup in his new role. First time we've really talked officially in your new role as CEO, managing directors. The job description. Okay. All right. So far so good because you've actually got a pass mark. Leading a championship, two drivers in the top ten. Crikey. Yeah, and lay in the championship as well, which is the team championship as well, which is nice, but yeah, let's not I'm not kidding myself. My predecessor Roland did a very, very good job. He benchmarked it for you though. For sure, for sure, yeah, and there's still a lot of momentum from last year that's carried through to this year. Systems in place. Exactly, exactly. So no, my true performance, the gauge of how I'm going, as I'm managing director, that will come towards the end of this year, starting next year, and obviously the year is following. So now I'm not sitting here now going, hey, I'm icing it. In some regard, any clown could have kept the momentum going with triple-A because there's so much so much good personnel. On the test, the test time is going to be. If we maintain this trajectory that RD said a very, very good standard of over many years. Talking with one of your ex workmates, David katchi this morning. Oh, yes. I was asking him to engage his performance. And he says, I'm not hard as Taskmaster, or myself, and probably anybody else would be. Yes. Sure enough and I think the same replies. You've had something set in the way in which you go about doing things. Yeah, for sure, for sure. And we know both catchy and we're not limits, you know what I mean? We know where we know we know high performance when we see it. And it's tough to it's tough to get there and it's tough to maintain for a long period of time. No, no, we're in the ground. We love motor sport. But when anyone and looking forward to the journey. Well, one of the things probably easiest to embark on is obviously Shane's got his 12 wins or so, so far this year. But the other one is his teammate. Your ex car, your exceed. So to speak in Brock, it's clearly demonstrated that he was the man who was right for the job. Yeah, I believe. So for sure, and I broke doing a great job. He's going to remember he's 19 years old. Absolutely. He's a young kid. Still in his people flights. And we've been given a huge opportunity to drive one of the quickest cars in the main game. And I think he's showing a lot more maturity than certainly his age. He's going out there forever learning. Subscribe results like P four, P four on the grid, starting this afternoon, which is fantastic for first first year. He'd have a very good grounding because he'd been around a bunch of people around motor sport, the Paul Morris academy, so to speak. And seen the way in which you should do things in the way. In a similar way, you had when you joined Triple H and I so remember that weekend standing in a panic on the Monday afterwards, your first win, your first round. And I've turned to ludo and said, you know, boy, you are lucky to get Jamie. He was cherry ripe for a win. Oh, yes, but he bit no better drive. What are those Gary Xbox cats? And it's a wildly a little bit. Look how I had an ongoing feud. Not deep feud, but ever since because I mean, clearly, you were cherry ripe for that. You know, that you done all the things and it's interesting because I know I could well. I'm not being invisible in Chattanooga numerous times. And it's that thing where I think a lot of the public misunderstands you because they don't realize that you had been so well throughed, not taught the brood in the way in which if I do these things, I should win. Yeah. And because you didn't go euphoric and jump around like a maniac I did all things right and people have written about that for years as you know, he just doesn't celebrate enough, you know? Your boss. Well, you got to be true to yourself, you know what I mean? Why not? No, I'm paying somebody else that you're not. That's first and foremost, you gotta get home at the end of the day, look yourself in the mirror and go, have you been, have you been treated yourself? Have you, have you done the right thing by yourself? And most days I've gone home and said yes. One of the things that is obviously we need going off in a new direction. And this is a new direction. And you're in the same business, but in a totally different role. Are you enjoying it? I am. I'm enjoying I'm enjoying the challenge for sure for showing. And I enjoyed the challenge of driving. You know, are you are you? Are you having fun? Grinding it out, day in, day out. It's a weird type of fun. It's not fun like going and throwing the frisbee on the beach, you know what I mean or going at fishing or you know what I mean? There's fun there, but then the actual satisfaction and enjoyment you get out of working hard and achieving things with a group of people have been able to enjoy that with as a driver and I'm really enjoying it now as a manager. Have you found it? I'm not suggesting for one second you would have, but have you found any transition within? Because you've got a large group of people who are all very skilled that they work, and they're all highly motivated to achieve one thing. Have they all made the transition for Jamie when you get one? In some way, yeah, your relationships change, no doubt with your teammates being from being a driver to a managing director. But you actually, in some regard, it's going to sound a bit strange, but you actually get reset. You'll respect not respect, not respect as a human, but respect for your role. Right. That takes a bit reset. Everyone respected me as a driver, but as a managing director, then I'm coming in you. I'll come in here. Clean slate. And you've got to earn that respect. That's just the way it goes. So of course we always respect other people, but in the roles? Yeah, I've got to earn that respect. So that's working hard grinding it out to try to gain that respect is what I did as a driver. One of the fantastic things in I've known shame right from when he arrived in those days with David John and that started in Carol and all those things all impact. He brings a different look because he had a different upbringing to you and I had and virtually anybody else. It was wonderful to hear him talking about Zach best yesterday and in coming up to try and pass him. And he played a little respect to him. I'd actually interviewed just stack a few minutes ago and he was really quite pleased that Shane, he said, I didn't want to just fall over for him as someone suggested to me that there are drivers here who put the indicator on which side to pass sort of thing. And that's not exactly it, you know, but he didn't fight because he knows it's this guy's in a championship, I'm just here and but it was terrifically he is Shane actually showing that respect to a competitor who's,

"Team, you know, a coach's job is to make sure that he's got the right players playing the right part of the game. So, you know, that doesn't change there's obviously differences in the technical side and the cars and the tyres and the tracks and all those bits of pieces, but the basics are very similar. Very similar. And having gone through in your own team in the Toyota racing series, the changes of Marx and cars are you will placed with your experience on going to gen three and understanding that transition. That's definitely going to be a challenge for some teams more so than others. But I'm pretty confident we've got some really good guys that went through the transformation from the last generation to the new generation. So having that experience is going to be vital and there's some other people on the sides that our relationships will be strong enough to if there's a crisis we've got someone to call on so I think it would be okay. I don't think it's not going to be any surprises everyone's going with their eyes wide open knowing that it's going to be some challenges and everyone's going to have to deal with it. I suppose it's probably one or two teams who are in a better situation currently, but that was a sign with this generation car I suppose. And have you had a bit of a chuckle about the leaked pictures of the IndyCar testing at Watkins Glenn? Yeah, I thought that was interesting, but I was always under belief. There was a car over there anyway, so I found it hard to believe that some of those bigger teams with the bigger budgets and those alliances weren't doing stuff. So. If I could do the same thing, whatever car in the wind tunnel right now. I know Paul Morris had said he had had a car in the states for years and years and years to run on shake rigs and do all that sort of stuff. Yeah, and I even think it was another team at the time did the same thing that flew a cow to America. So at the end of the day, we're in a game where it's competitive.

"Yeah, there's definitely no matter what race and category you come from or whatever you do outside of racing super cars. You always learn something. But everything correlates to driving a supercar, but it's more about building a bigger toolbox to get pull tools from. So I was very fortunate coming up through the ranks. You know, growing up that I got to go to America and do a couple of years over there and gained a lot of experience over there and a lot of racing, didn't you? I did do a lot of racing here. So yeah, when I was over in America, they raced 30 times a year, so I was pretty much in the car sort of every second week, if not every week. At some point. So yeah, I got to do a lot of racing and a few years. Okay. All right, now it just tell us about the test yesterday. You and will were out there in your cars. And in fact, both of you had your co drivers here as well. So it was a valuable learning for you for you. Yeah, definitely. We sort of loads a lot from the back half of last season. And showed them both of our results. Both cars were in the top 5 of multiple occasions. We all got a poll and a race win and I was on the podium at SAP one and going to bathos as well. So it was great to see that the team, the team stepped up and will and I learned a lot throughout the year as well. So we all just raised the bar a little bit and then next minute, you know, we're in a sort of front running pack. So it was great to have the off season and the team went to town on the cars and just improved proved everything a smidge so it was great to see all that work and effort at the test day sort of come to life. Now you will give us something last year that most people now know. That will have a go. Oh my God, he is. Yeah, definitely. Yeah, both both myself. We've worked pretty hard to get our foot in the door, so we're not here to sort of settle for second or third or whatnot. So, you know, the main goal is to always win. So it was pretty hard throughout the year, you know, where we finished in the top ten a couple of times throughout the start of the year and we are going to podium early and it's very frustrating because, you know, we're going into a sort of rookie year and people think that you guys don't grab your running on top ten, but you know, sort of when we go sit in the truck, you know, we're throwing our boots at each other and having a laugh and you know, really frustrated with sort of finishing April 9th. So yeah, sort of that mentality that, you know, the whole team, you know, that the whole team had from the second half of the season and it was great to see everyone, you know, putting in the work and the effort to both, you know, from both sides to run up front. One of the things talking Barry Ryan that has happened from last year is that there are a lot of unknowns have gone away. Because you and will have both demonstrated that you can vote, do the job to be there. And for the whole team, it's a very solidified sort of process to be coming up for your second year. Yeah, definitely. Yeah, we're still a very small team. As far as our engineering group and personal headcount compared to the other teams that we're racing, so yeah, we have to be very smart and use that time very wisely. So it's very important that everyone works together as a group and that's something that we showed showed last year and even Barry as well. Just everyone sort of getting together and focusing on one goal is to for the team to win races. So yeah, will and I worked really well together and both engineers across both cars did a great job as well and yeah, there's no sort of knick knack and going on behind the scenes or anything like that so it was great to see that everything worked well. One of the things I've learned in my 70 years that teaching somebody has an enormous benefit because it reinforces the things that you're just saying to somebody what are you finding that have been doing so that normal where you've been doing driver training for a while? Yeah, definitely. Yeah, I was sort of very, very lucky to have some good people around me. You know, prior going full-time with erebus and was able to get a co drive with Anton, who's also from the norwell side of things as well. So yeah, when you're around people that know a lot about the sport and you know that put back into the sport, you seem to skip all the mistakes that they've made in their career and I've had some really good guidance from Paul Morris and people like him salt and they've had really good management all in the way to sort of not do mistakes they might have done or that you hear a lot of the I did this 20 years ago and it didn't work so make sure you don't do that now so yeah it's been really good for myself to have people like that corner to sort of fast track that process to getting some good experience. All right, well thank you very much, Brady because thank you for joining us on the inside because we look forward to watching some more of your antics on the track and now for a while that you'll make sure they know you're there. Yes, I will. Thanks for having me. He was Jay Henson and man, we've spoken to, but it's been a while, and the last time we did was, in fact, when you were in TCR, and you still don't see how, but there you've added another arrow to your quiver. That being supercars. It is going to speak to you again, Tony, and yeah, so it's very busy for me, obviously, you know, playing Toronto, for a few years and that playing still goes on although we've added a supercar in the mix of it, so it's great to join image icing and Airbus academy and finally get my first option supercar, so I'm really looking forward to a very big year, you know, a big learning curve for me in super two and having TCR, so I just got to make sure I'm switch on for every round and I go to and it's going to be a big year for sure. Yeah. Okay, so we've already took one of the big boxes. That was a race win, Dan. Simmons playing. Race one of the new season and Bing. There we are in an MPC run Audi TCR car. That was terrific fun. That was awesome. I actually took a few boxes that weekend, I think I got the my first ever front row side of the TCR car. Obviously, as you said, the rice winner, I think I also got the right slap record around tazi as well, so it was an awesome way to kick off the season with the bottom performance in it and the new Audi, so you know we had great support from all our sport overseas and that you know obviously there's a first out in the first new Audi I should say in the southern hemisphere so to be able to tick off a first win in his first ever race is really, really cool, you know, so I'm keen for the rest of the season in that and hopefully we can continue on with the good strike so far and see how we go in the super car. Do you remember your first test train that cat? That was the first ever test I.

"Some in classroom polling, everyone out there. Far north Queensland and northern have a lot of strong relationships. What's the motor sports scene? Like in F and Q in the clients, it's not very strong at all, actually. So I've had a lot of support from the local community, which has been absolutely fantastic. The sport is not giving me in my career has been great. And I've just been trying to do as much as I can promoting motor sports up here. So at the moment, cancels building a new track, which is going to be awesome for motor sport. In final screen sandwich, yeah. Great, for everything. So hopefully moving forward, it's just grows more and more with new facilities and people like Paul Morris and the guys offered up in town for driving sort of the image of racing and final screen time. No webinar is that when you're back in the car yes, yeah. So we'll be back in Sydney November 19. We actually have a full super two test day, the day before. We all start racing. So it'll be a good chance to sort of just get in tune with the car before we get out to some official sessions so that'll be perfect. We wish you all the very best of luck. Have you driven a Sydney motor sport before? I know you would have done 86s there, but have you driven in a civic habit? Yeah, we raised a super story last year. It's actually really interesting experience because the tire degradation around that track is absolutely it's massive. So the kumo tires actually held up a lot better than the Dunlop tires and considering that we were teamed up with a super twos last year in the same races and we actually ended up passing three quarters of the field of this too. This year's obviously going to be a bit different now that two three and two are running on the same fire so it should be really, but we wish you all very best and I hope that Craig and myself will get to meet you at bat in December. Enjoy yourself back in the car and we look forward to watching the time James and seeing how you succeed in the rest of 2021. Thank you for joining us. Take refrigerator. Awesome. "But leave it at that. And it's this is what it has to do with the tour de france not in stage when it has nothing to do with overall wins. It has nothing to do with classics. It's so but you know we're talking about two different than you can. Only i mean. I i believe i believe cavendish when he said when he said over and over. You know. i'm not thinking about this. I'm here to win stages you know this is. This is this is for me. A great winning a stage in the this is another one not thinking about those thirty four or thirty five up until yesterday are up till this morning. I think that that was the case when he won those three stages today don't if you saw his his reaction after the finish no he went to while any and he said an italian ibm we story. We made history the obviously it was there you know he knows you know what i mean. Just i mean for him. He just has to follow the flow. You know i mean everybody's talking about it for him. It may not be that important at the end of the day. You if you look at cavendish. And his paul morris You know we're going to take out those two or three years where he didn't perform if you look at his whole career. He's the best sprinter of his generation. Barn there's nobody who can be compared as a faster rider than than more cavernous. You know he won so many racist over what is thirteen. Fourteen years and total. I think he. Ethan professional in two thousand seven or two thousand. I don't remember exactly but You know and he won. I think he's not one hundred one hundred and fifty plus racist. He won in total in his career and fifty two or fifty. three stage. wins in. Grand tours accumulating. Spain italy into the france. So i think that's that's what he has to go for you know. That's that's his record. Teased the best sprinter of generation and the story of course they other big parts of cavendish's story which we've talked about a lie is is the comeback thinking he was done in this turn of events and it started. You know everybody calls you on the the walking encyclopaedia in you started digging into your memory of a comeback that this reminds you of a person. It reminds you of because this doesn't happen very often in cycling. Usually once you're done you're done. Yeah yeah i mean. I cannot think of a better comparison and we said you know. It's it's not good to compare but is just too similar. It's the great. Freddie martin's freddie martin's was a belgian champion. Two times world champion. He was supposed to be the new. The merck's he came on the scene at the end of eddie marxist career. You know he was. He was a sprinter won. A lot of racists came to the you know the top he it became world champion and then At some point he had a he had a bad crash. Had a problem with that injury broke. His wrist and the injury kept lingering on for for more than a year actually in e kind of got in bad shape and had some issues I think you know some lifestyle issues So we all were. I remember when. I i think freddy martin started racing probably in the late. Eight late seventy So that's that's when. I started racing. I in my first race. It might first. Racing season was nineteen. Eighty and on top of that for morton's is from A town next to my hometown so local guy huge huge huge huge champion one one so many racists but he had this three four years I mean just to give you an example. Freddie martin's was so good the first time he participated in the door to france. I think he was twenty three or twenty two twenty three years old. He won eight stages in the tour de france. Why eight stages. Then he went on. He won more and more and he won one year as a sprinter. Slash all-rounder Also time trial but wasn't specifically known to be a good climber What he did do. Spain one year and he wanted to spain the overall less thirteen stages in the tour different in the tour of spain so he had this amazing start of his career then kind of went downhill and we all thought that you know freddy martin was done you know. He gained all the way he got on smaller teams and was kind of two years. Maybe three years out of the top results until he went to a belgian team I think the the name was bulldozer. Which was actually the. I remember now it was it was. It was a cigarette brand bulldozer. I remember that. Because at the france they they were not allowed to advertise for cigarettes so they had to change the name of the team to travel travel agency. But anyway freddie martin's went on that team and got together with who was Before the team. Director of eddie marks and this guy specifically took care of freddie martin's you know he they put up a program d. mates went to freddie's home to get him out of the house to train. You know he got. He had gained all the weight and The first part of the season freddie martin's was absolutely nowhere that t- that team got winter tour of france and freddie was not in great shape But and the team director actually decided okay. You know we're not gonna take freddie. I know this in detail. Because not long ago i read the story on this before i before i we were thinking about gavin dish and.

"Do this next time. Paul morris is another one. You got a lot of experience. And a lot of education from paul morris. He's a v eight supercar driver. You know did in time in indy. Lights up here. But he's ozzy guy and You know one of my good friends but so you know you can learn from everybody. You can learn from everybody so i can learn from a fourteen year old fifteen year old sheldon creed as he's coming up and now obviously he's the nascar truck champion But yeah so anyone can teach you in this in this great sport of racing. Yeah and it's funny. You know robbie i you know. He's he used are shot from time to time here in parker when he's got something and he's you know he's got one racecar something we've got lace and welders mills and tubing benner. So you know you know stuffs air and you know this is a couple years back but other race car sitting there and we're doing something and it was unskilled and the sitting there. They you know and funny thing. People don't realize robbie that guy's a hell of a fabricator himself. I mean he can run a leith he can well. You can do just about anything. But he's walking around my race car and he just like we're just having a conversation he just looking and then he starts pointing things out and like he's just starts dropping these information bombs. You know you should do this. You should do this. You should do this and it's like you start thinking about. He's like he's dead right on everything but it's just the guy just oozes information it's just it's if you wanna grab that and run with it or not but it's like if you just sit back and listen to him. You can pick up so much in so many different ways. It's it's amazing. The amount of information that guy just drops. I think again. It's some people's ego like they just don't wanna know they don't understand like yeah robbie's a race car driver put on the business side of things that his technical ability like look his. Dad was bob bob goria like robbie like robbie setting up a shock you know or or a sway bar or you know just that the he can drive a vehicle and no just from driving it just from feeling it on his but something where to go and pinpoint like my truck all weekend like in the beginning of the week and was flying like knows high i was landing on my back bumper robbie goes and he driving behind me. He's like all right. Hey you got good speed. You're going into these corners. Hey casey brought the the chief mechanic over. Hey i need you to take a this much rebound from the fronts. But i need you to also do this on the back and You know at that point. They're speaking a foreign language to me. Because i don't know that part i i feel like cole trickle. Like i don't know. Harry i just drive it you know and And robbie made the adjustments and for that second race i was flying perfectly and An sst have to have that balance of. Hey i wanna fly good or do i wanna corner good. You can't have both so there has to be a little balance What you wanna do So yeah robbie's You know yet. Like i've gone to his shop and he's rapping a truck you know or he's working on breaks or you know it's like he there's there's no clean a toilet. There's nothing that guy won't do for sport. You know and his team as employees any bill to save truck. Let me tell you right now the. Utv the speed. You know utv's he's making. Oh my god. They're just they're they're gonna be amazing so You know. I like to say Max gordon and robbie. They heard a lot of people's feelings but You know the other day you gotta get over it because it it just advancing the sport you know so we close out. Bill are you. I know obviously we got the schedule. Are you going down and doing any of the australian racists rounds of of stadium super trucks. Man i would love to but I don't think the ozzy government i mean they just had another shutdown lockdown You know with the kobe thing. I really don't think there's going to be any type of sst international racing until twenty twenty three but Yeah i i have every planned to go back down there For so for twenty twenty three of the planets to run a full schedule in the us and a full schedule in the ozzy one and the the way the the Racing is they. They won't really overlap. So i'll probably be down there for ten races next year Lord willing lord willing I dig that but Well bill it is always fun catching up man love having you on the show it's been it's been far too long but hopefully we can catch up some point and i'll be out at long beach grand prix obviously crandon as well. "Would you know. He's he's a television. He's a proper television actor. You could tell the Hartnell sort of born of the stage and film and stuff where you had to sort of say everything and trout in his very much rooted. Television and leading the visuals speak for themselves. Which bakes for not necessarily the the best listing. When you are when you're listening to a recon and so you can tell that the elevators. What do we do here? He's just like wandering around a studio but he's being he's being perfect Patrick out and doctors sort of like taking everything in without speaking so sometimes it's also the music you know faces. Once as a notable sort of like BBC radio phonic workshop atmosphere more. It's not so much a score. It's an atmosphere take whereas evil of the daleks for instance has a very distinctive scores. So you can learn what listen to that one and sort of know what to feel based on what the music is doing. And so yeah. Faces is tricky in that way. Unless you sort of see the visuals and what's going on with that sort of low moody tone sort of coming in I can see why the visuals would help. I'll get back to you on that in twenty twenty one the DVD comes out here. I think as as you say the the SANTRAC is definitely helping that one in in terms of dementia like them so I mean I guess inevitably we can't have this discussion without having a A quick potter the only rumor and the circumstances around and I guess as much as anything. Perhaps the madness that overtook phantom for many well several years anyway. Yeah I I mean certainly as in my own case I think you know. I became somewhat obsessional for a number of years in terms. Of How metoo yeah? Oh yes you know and and getting into a lot of my new she either that I mean I so as we said at the START I mean I. I've been aware of missing episodes for what thirty odd years at that time and I and I had. I'd always had this nagging thought at the back of my mind that they really looked but they really looked at gone and not not a course enough. That actually got off my own bottom when I look myself but you have. They gotten looked. Oh are we sure so said? The thought that somebody else could have gone and looked kind of had the ring. Plausibility about it. That that The things still out there and of course that then that should be followed up shortly after by some at your episodes being returned and and having indeed sat on the shelf for many years. Yeah I mean all the ingredients I guess where were there that the Internet age for for for a fantastic Explosion and and perhaps a foretaste of our current time so in a real polarizing of opinion among the fan community that between those people who said no no that yeah possibly a found anything and those people who are must have found everything. I know what your experience was. Well I my first experience with. I think what became the army over with as it Chicago. Tarzan Twenty twelve twenty twelve and it was. It was flying ever that the discussion was just like all over and that was A. That was a November. Leading up to the Snowmen Christmas special that year and I remember someone telling me they're like oh no it's real. They found like fear because they're referencing it in the upcoming Christmas special at the last seen somebody told me. They said he's GonNa say oh I remember something about The yeti in the underground who yeah and I thought okay whatever. Well I'll I`ll. I'll park that when the special comes out I'll see if the right and sure enough. There's a scene you could tell them. Steven Moffat has written that Christmas special around the fact that the web of fear has been found. Because there's so many references into that and when he looks that little lunchbox so obviously he was planning on coming out as well. I Mark Airs at that convention that we can. I interviewed him for various audio stuff. As so many things you can talk to mark cares about. I just I saw at the at the end of the NFL. Just real question about missing episode. I'll just shoot it down and stuff and when I asked him what do you think you know these crazy rumors crazy and selling I expect him. Just oh yeah just ludicrous and stuff. And they sort of like pause and says yes as most thought he didn't shoot that down at all and that just flared by Curiosity and then of course when I saw the snowman I thought this is actually happening. Isn't it something is really up here. And then knee and another person connected. I would say may eighth twenty thirteen is when I when I was. I like you know when we all sort of discuss. I discovered the ninety episode thing. And the you know the fascinating thing is that that rumor was everywhere like it wasn't just amongst like low level fans and stuff like Mark Gatiss was sort of like excited about it. Like other like notable fans seemed to be thinking like this is actually a thing that's happening and you know and we were all doing the digging and stuff like I was. Those were heady days innocent days in a way like I. I still get emails. Foresee rates DOT com. Which is that shifts see based shipping company. Which of course we all found that you know that someone called P Morris from Liverpool had shipped three tons of film cans from a somewhere in Africa two to Liverpool and so I created a C. rates account just to get updates and stuff up things so I still get the occasional email unsubscribe from that. But I don't I don't as a memory to those heady days and I was like tracked down film. Canon shipments to to from Phil Morris. And you know I I was driving. I think I think I knew that something was happening. At this point because the radio free scarlet gets you connections over the years and so I had an inkling that something was going down but I didn't know when it was and I was driving around in the mountains in in Alberta here on the weekend of the base five or six days before the actual announcement happen overnight and it was just such a surreal experience. My friend. Who's in the car and is could you drive for? I need to like the top of this. And they're all of a sudden like yeah. It's actually happening. But it's only web and enemy or something I think that's sort of like it. Got Pared down from ninety nine it was probably originally twelve. Let's face it. I think you know I do believe Phil Morris. When he says that he had web part three but someone walked off with it. What's curious is that You know the actual timeline of things. I think he probably discovered that in twenty eleven perhaps even earlier in Italy came out in two thousand thirteen that he had it so like. How ago did he find those episodes? What else did he find? Why were there three tons of film cans? What else is in there? You know he keeps sort of like leading everyone on but then you realize that seven years ago now is is twenty. One of those episodes came out. So how long can you lead people on thinking that you have more doctor who and stuff so really? The Omni rumors still is kind of like out there. A little bit but I figured during these times there's nothing better to do than say okay. Here are the gaps. Please enjoy them. Give you something something to look forward to. Yeah I mean I. I very briefly met Phil Morris just over a year ago so he went to the missing believed wiped thing in in in London. So you may came out with that with that phrase. We're GonNA light the blue touch paper that set a free soul among the crowd which was interestingly stuffed with quite a lot with Hulu luminaries. I mean it wasn't just Bach Standard Fans. And afterwards he was he was He was talking to people and My friend Paul Morris. No relation news Big finished author heat. Td Dig me in the ribs and he said you know. Got a chat with him going. You can do that right so so I oughta Kayla we do that and in an an interesting character I mean I think you're you're at a similar height to me about sixty five or so Phil Morris isn't quite that tall but he's he's not far office certainly over six feet tall. He's quite imposing presents. Quite broad and he's gone in a quiet quiet piercing ice. I mean he's very friendly very and he spent a long time talking to all of the people wanted to talk to him but yes I thought actually I can sort of see that this is a this is a charismatic kind of guy who who could easily talked people You know in foreign country into handing over stuff in in return for something so yeah there was definitely something about him but yeah We we kind of felt that that blue touchpaper thing was maybe the start of something else but it hasn't proven to be so. Yeah you know I. I think there's been other archive TV stuff that he's found Markham unwise. Yes necessarily register on on this side of the Atlantic and stuff but it's still like any missing. Television is exciting. You Know I. It's back on the sports thing The nineteenth six game seven in the nineteen sixty world series is. It's famous because it was one on a home run. The first time to ever that ever happened to hit a home. Run to win ten nine over the Yankees and the broadcast was had gone missing for decades and only they only found it because bing crosby who was part owner of the Pittsburgh pirates at the time but was so superstitious that he he couldn't watch the game live. Because you'd be too nervous so he had someone tele record it as so we could watch later. He I don't know if he did but that film rested in his wine cellar for forty years and so was in perfect condition because it was in perfect storage conditions that they just happened to find it there so it was so the fact that that exists Is is set the cat among the pigeons when it came to missing sports broadcasts and and so any any missing material is genuinely exciting to hear Paul. Vanessa's on my Raider Carl what does that a couple of years ago. I mean it was just last year. I think it was two years ago. Yeah Gosh that was a long time ago. You know him just sort of casually drop the news. That film collector has a couple of episodes like sitting there. Like we. Okay so I guess we eat. I say ninety-seven up there are. There are ninety seven missing episodes because there are people out there. Film collectors Who have got something. Either they're holding on to it because they know what it's you know what it is or they just. It's in that pile of stuff. I mean I talked to Paul. Oddly enough with Paul Morris next to me at the gallery one those after that and he was Giving US little nuggets of Info just various other film collectors and around the world and you really sort of gathered. You get the impression that there's you know overseas sales and stuff might have dried up a little bit and start. It's time to start looking inward.

"Weekend with Deitsch now let's get back to the program here are James and Morris Kerrey thank you Mike and thank you for tuning into this half of this hour on the house with Kerry brothers Paul Morris he came through one eight hundred seven three seven two four seven four with a line of for you that's exactly right and in the event that you don't make it to to the phones you certainly can shoot us attacks and we have a couple that we're gonna try and get to but first to the phones we go and even this Hey you know you don't know how you do in well Hey I'm doing great how you fellows wonderful how can we help you Eunice I have a question about asphalt shingles my roofing shingles asphalt are seven years old they look fine and I'm not seeing any black streaks but there's sand in the gutters and stuff like that but I just came across an article about a new first new to me product called roof maxx of roofing renew old and it says its subs can add five to fifteen years to life to your existing asphalt shingle roof it's a liquid based soil oils and it within seventy two hours will make the the the singles is soft and pliable as they were originally expelled is that is that something that you should look into or is that probably just pretty much hype well you should look into it but here is what you should do first of all the particles of minerals that are in your gutters are normal your roof is relatively new and minerals to shed in time so just make sure that you clean your gutters of those minerals so they don't go into your drainage system okay having said that I would take the product and get all of the information on it that I could if you know if you recall who did your roof last I would contact that person if you know what kind of roofing you have I would go directly to the roofing manufacturer right and I would investigate what the roofing material brand is and find out who that manufacturer is and then go to their tech support department and you need to have the product name and it's M. S. D. S. sheet so that was all chemicals sold and doesn't have to be for human consumption has what's called an M. S. de facture safety data sheet yeah S. D. S. when you're on the website for the product that you're referring to somewhere on that website there has to be an M. S. D. F. sheet which tells what the product is made of and want to know that then you call the tech support department I know this sounds like a lot of running around but it's to the internet once a phone call once and you call the manufacturer of the roofing material and you say here's the product that contains this can I spray it on the shingles to add some life to them or will it destroy my warranty now ninety percent of the time the roofing company will say it will destroy your warranty if you apply anything to the shingles except I hadn't even thought of yeah let me tell you if you if you do something to impact that roof material you could void the warranty in a heart beat so I would first of all I'm not familiar with roof maxx I know that they have a very nice website they have some terrific videos they've serve six hundred cities in forty eight states they bill themselves as one of the fastest growing roofing companies in the country it sounds good but I would do two things I would reach out to the national roofing contractors association that's number one and get their opinions and to I would absolutely connect with the manufacture the product manufacture not the roofing contractor the product manufacture if it's CertainTeed if it's G. A. F. if it's L. whatever it is I have the paperwork from the contractor all perfect I haven't looked up to see if it gives me it will but I know where I bought them and and maybe if I can't get it from the contractor I can go back to the suppliers material supplier of natural hair so if we go so if you're listening and you like us don't have any experience with roof maxx Eunice knows that they say it's a scientifically formulated one hundred percent safe plant based roof rejuvenating spray treatment that was developed by Battelle labs the world's largest private research and development company according to their website and they say it works through its technology that allows millions of what they called micro beads of all natural oils to penetrate your old rental roof I gotta tell you something units we were at a trade show this past year and there was a manufacturer of a product that was supposed to be the greatest wood preservative in history and when the sales representative sat down for his interview oh boy I said to him I said what's in it well it's a what do you call it proprietary that's right formula that was appraised at four was a proprietary formula and he couldn't discuss it and I said how do you sell something when you can't tell people what's in it he got all mad and the owner of the company didn't want to be on the air and we took him off the air nor happy I went to the website I opened the MSTS sheet and what did I find the can was pure mineral oil nothing else it wasn't a proprietary formula cedar oil or mineral oils mineral oil okay and so this guy has this big secret formula and it was just mineral oil yeah I want to just say this as we close Eunice the music comes up I'm not going to speak against this.
