"Your fashion news comedy podcast. How are you doing? I'm fine now that I remember the name of the show or where I was. Some moments are just like that. You just kind of wake up, can I get here? What's happening? I told carm before we started recording when we first got on this call. I was like, very tired because I gave a double donation of red blood cells, and that that does take it out of you. And so I'm a little loopy tonight. Lisa, I'm just impressed you donate blood, good on you. I am very proud of you, but like a double dip of some blood. That's a big ask. I'm surprised you said yes. When it comes down to it, I got some big juicy veins. And I'm very useful to society in this one particular way. It's a good reminder that blood is always needed. This is always a good thing to do. It is always needed, and you always get a can of Coke and a cookie. If you want them. You know? Just go for the cookie. Go, you know what I ate at 6 o'clock tonight? I ate two big ass chocolate chip cookies. And then I came home and I ate a full dinner before we recorded because I was suddenly starving because my body was working very hard to keep me alive. And here I am now. Back in the saddle. Did you give like a two liter? Oh, some of your some of your blood? Just a two liter, a Coke, except it's Lisa blood. Yeah, they got like they got this special Yeti to put on my blood in and that's smart, all right? So it's got to get on those cute little cooler and just like, yeah. They're like, oh, at least it's blood again. Here we go. Yeah, it is. You have to lift, lift from the legs, not from the back. Got it. Let's get it. Yeah. It's a good deed, Lisa. It's a very good deed, and I got a fun bandage, but it's gone now. I really like the cute bandages, actually. Right? If they have colors now, modern medicine has come so far. You can get lime green, you can get pink, you can get red, you can get black, okay? We're mixing it up. Well, that's the fashion report from the big red bus. Donated blood. What else is going on? Bandages in style, pink. Black. On the runway, given blood. So hot right now. Let's get into it. Fashion news, you got a crazy story, Lisa tell us. Ow, holy moly, do I have a story? Models who have accused guest cofounder Paul Marciano of sexual harassment are now suing the board of guests, claiming it facilitated, continued bad behavior. Just a note for our listeners, this story talks about the legal side of this, it does not go into detail about the reported sexual assault itself. The victims claim that despite gas the company, knowing about at least 12 allegations of sexual misconduct by Marciano, the board voted to keep him on at the company. Marciano was accused of harassment in 2018, most notably by model K Upton. He denied the claims but stepped away from gas temporarily and gave up his executive chair position. But he still chief creative officer, and, according to the lawsuit, the board gave him back his day to today role, which included quote unfettered access. To female models. And according to the models, his behavior has continued, one of the models who was part of the lawsuit said that in September 2020, so this is two years after the first allegation was made, in September 2020, this model's written complete to guess human resources about what Marciano allegedly did to her, resulted in an investigation about her. Oh, oh. She claimed that Marciano personally called people who knew her, and that the company accused her of copyright infringement for selling her old guest clothing on a resale site. That's a stretch. She is just trying to re posh that, okay? Marciano put out a press release for this most recent lawsuit that put the model's lawyers on blast. They're working with the famous bloom firm and Marciano said that the loom firm is an ethical and doesn't have evidence against him. There's a lot of wrinkles here like the fact that activist investor and guests legion partners has been critical of the board for some time, it appears the board's decision to move its annual meeting up by two months could have been a move to prevent shareholders in the company from taking action regarding the accusations. So there's some interesting chess going on here. But the basics of the case remain that the models have not gotten what they wanted out of suits against Marciano so far. So they're trying another angle. Harm, what's your first reaction about this verified shit show? What a bunch of.

"Listen, we've been representing her for over two years in her sexual harassment retaliation case against Fox News. I don't care what people's politics are. I care about if they were sexually harassed or wrongfully terminated or abused, and listen, I've represented a lot of women at Fox News, I think Is my fifth one. Fox News has had a long, sad history of sexual harassment of women working there. A lot of that's been in the news they paid over $100 million and settlements on. That's just what we know about And of course, the people who worked at Fox News tend to be right wing That's fine. I I respect people have different political philosophies from me. We don't have to all agree on everything. I would hope we would all agree that sexual harassment is wrong or the sexual assault is wrong. Britney cantering, by the way, has spoken out against Trump. And she's one of those conservatives who has a lot of integrity and speaks out against things that are bad, even in her own party, which takes a lot of moral courage, and I salute everybody on the right. The courage to speak out against Trump because I think it's not easy and they deserve credit for that, But it's a great message you're talking about. When you say people on the right people on the left. You're dealing with issues. You're dealing with an issue of the sexual harassment in this particular case, and I think it's clear that we can all regardless of writer left, look at issues and hopefully seek justice and what's right and what's wrong Vs What political perspective one might have in and hopefully in the future. We're going to get back to a point where we even respect our political foes, and we can get along in a bipartisan way. Yes, I listen. I think a lot of people are already there. This just not doesn't get a lot of press because it's not exciting. When people say yes, I respect people who disagree with May right. We're not screaming and yelling. But I've always had a lot of friends who were conservatives who are respectful. Who sometimes needle me about things. And you know that changed my mind about things, you know, physical culture, for example. You know, they talk about how cancel culture is a real problem on the left. And I agree. So you know, there are good points to be made on both sides. And Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Someone who I know you respect in your mom. Gloria Allred. It respects very much. Look at her history with Antonin Scalia, um, respecting each other being friends with each other but couldn't be more diametrically opposed on a lot of the issues that we're talking about. Operate together, right? Right. I mean, so. Can I just go back to Alexander? We are going back to Wang because we want to make sure that maybe after the break bread will be on the show, So we're gonna leave Brit for the second segment. Let's talk about Wang. Sure. So you're right. So some people may not even know who he is. He's a very prominent fashion designer, and he has his own line his own brand. Apparently people who are much younger and hipper than me are very familiar with it. Yeah. During the pandemic, mostly wearing leggings on the bottom half at a nice blouse on the upper half. If I'm gonna do is zoom, which I could, but I don't have anything in my closet from Alexander Wang. But he's a very prominent fashion designer in New York, and a couple of weeks ago, some men on S social media. Accused him of groping them. He then came out and said, essentially, that they're liars, and that was really the worst thing he could have done because that prompted them and new wave. Of additional people to come out and say, You know, I never would have said anything about this, but you're calling these other guys liars, and they're not liars. And so we, my team and I have spent the last two weeks talking to one after the other after the other, and now we have nine accusers against Alexander Wang and the allegations run from groping them in clubs, groping their genitals and clubs to even more serious than that, And I'm just gonna leave. But at that, for now, he denies everything and you know we're still in our investigation phase, but it's very serious and more broadly, you know, the fashion industry really has a problem. And they need some accountability, especially as the models. I represent a lot of models and people in the fashion industry who just get treated like they're props or toys instead of human beings, and it's wrong and they're starting to stand up and speak out. And I know you want to talk about my Bruce Weber case, which we can do more in depth, but I represent six male models against Bruce Weber, Very promised biographer. They accused him of sexual assault I represented for women against Paul Marciano at Yes, the clothing line accusing him of sexual assault. I mean, it just goes on and on and on. And you know we need to get some change and we get it by people standing up and saying, I'm going to tell my story and you know, fighting for justice for them. And by the way, we also in worker's compensation deal with the same thing that I have represented. I'm not going to mention a lot of the names but people in the fashion industry who have been sexually harassed and abused on the job. It is a worker's comp claim as well, as you know, the civil case that you're talking about. S O. It is widespread, and it's sad that there isn't Morfogen on preventing it. When we talk about the one case in the Weber case quickly, we only have a minute. But tell us where you go because people are listening, and they're saying, Okay, That's a lot of accusers. What happens? Do you file suit? Do they settle on? Of course, We don't know what's gonna happen. But what is the strategy from the bloom firm? Well, The first strategy is always a very deep dive into the investigation. Talk to everybody. Gather evidence, not only to the people who talk to people call me but they're witnesses. You have a friend do with their Let's talk to the front. That's the stage we're in. Now. Then we make a recommendation to the group of the options are you can go to the police. If somebody groped you without your consent if somebody drugged you without your consent. That's always an option. You don't have control over police investigation. They control that, not us, but that's an option. You can file a civil lawsuit that takes a long time but certainly can be done and we do a lot of those. You could do a pre litigation mediation, which is how we often start our cases. Can we resolve this early on and let everybody get on with their lives? Most people want to try that first. And do we want to talk to the media? Some of my client's already have some want to do. We want to do a press conference. We do those and a lot of our cases. We do what to bring out additional accusers and witnesses. So these are all of the different options in court. I don't decide. I make recommendations in the client's side because it's their case and everybody's different. Some people want to be anonymous. Jane Doe or John Doe, that's fine. Have six women against Jeffrey Epstein, the state there. Jane does. Some people want to use their name and come out publicly. They're very brave. That's great, too. So we sort of advisor. It's all of the options and then the client makes their decision. And it's important that people realize that because Ah, lot of people think that lawyers are always driving forces behind whatever actions were taken. And certainly that is the case most of the time, But we have clients and your clients especially have sensitive issues that their lives can be changed dramatically in the future..
