"You come over here really for business because I know you've you've been busy. I used my stunt double. You're doing a lot of acting in Vancouver you're still doing stunts and Vancouver probably stunt coordinating. So why the trip to La COMING DOWN TO LA. I ah see my friends but yeah there is okay. Well there's around me here man. I see people who tolerate me. And Gimmie Free Beer. Let me come on podcast. Ask now. It's it's it's a networking thing. I mean. There are a couple of meetings usually whenever I come down here and And especially we are. We are talking with a couple blow potentially interested parties for a second season of paper champions the comedy series. It just dropped on Amazon prime that we shot. I think last November. In in Calgary. What's an during on Amazon prime? So it's an online God damn. Everything's on Amazon proud. I gotTA wash ban coming on Amazon prime tomorrow. You have but you connection no but you can stream all kinds of stuff on. They've got a whole video division model sending some screener links. If you WANNA see please do. It's comedy show about a low level wrestling promotion. Actually but there's hardly instead of course there's no wrestling was widely Jericho. Asked me about us. Really excited about the premier and he said so so. It's like I said well there's hardly interesting arrest you said. Well you got it right already. craziest part arresting outside the ring. But it's funny 'cause it was shot just what they call a proof of concept we. We only had eight days to shoot on a micro tiny budget. This company tell us which is a big telecommunications company Canada they've got a fund for certain things and they gave this production company wrote Panda Promotions. A certain amount of money to do it and it was on a super shoe shoestring so they thought okay. We'll shoot these seven ten to twelve minute episodes and then we'll use that to shop it around and try to sell it and they did such a damn good job. Even with the low level production values that Amazon prime picked it up. So were airing it. And then using that and looking for a proper funding in twenty two minute episode so's instead of twelve minute episodes for a second season and I just. They showed me the script for the first episode. And I said I'm in because I just love the writing. It's it's definitely a comedy show about wrestling. It's not a wrestling show and we. We got all kinds of help with two. We shot a Gimmick Promo which is in the guise of an old videotape. Somebody found with people people cutting for almost trying to get into the promotion in the early nineties. Raymond stereos on there and kill. It crosses on their like some stars from Riverdale on their boss routines on their CD Fletcher. So it's it's You know we were able to get a lot of a lot of people involved in. I'm confident that We're going to get a second season because the quality is definitely there. Hey what were you doing of Boston's out today. Because I was going to go with you. You said text message. But I had to watch Alabama play. Lsu and let me talk about that for a second. Because I'm roll tide fan and sausage roll tide ahead on twitter. I was hoping it was going to be able to defeat the LSU tigers ma'am. The Tigers went into Bryant Denny Stadium and opened up a can of Wabash. They play damn good football from the mistakes. Alabama was making was off the charts. Jesus Christ rough day into office almost pulling off at the end but anyway a few years back on the podcast as I said when Ron was hired said congrats at ours. Ron That's a good hire. A lot of people jumped on my ass man. He didn't do good over Ole miss or wherever the hell he was at and they. I said he's going to be gone in a couple of years. Well I was right. It was a good hire. So if you Lsu Tigers Fan as well. But I just roll. Tide is my favorite team but I like Lsu Tigers as well. I like Damn you're all college football teams but I'm an SEC. Gas specifically and I'm also in Oklahoma Glaucoma. sooners fan similar said to me on twitter today. Hey Man you're bandwagon fan you toma roll tide and then banned into sooners or. You're not supposed to so you don't you don't cheer for the Texas Longhorns unlike rotate had Alabama's my favorite team. I'm from Austin Texas. I love the LONGHORNS my mothers from Guthrie Oklahoma so also the Oklahoma sooners. I like a lot of fucking college football fan. So anybody who is calling me a bandwagon fan. Go Fuck yourself I haven't like Lsu Tigers eddoes. Ron Van as well pay. Can you make sense of that or am I just fucked up. That's the modern mentality menu. Not Allowed to like one thing and another thing. So you invited me to go to Boston's House with you but I don't want to jam up your ride our y'all's conversations so I don't WanNa be like manage. I know but also watch Alabama. Lsu Shaw I turn you down boss shooting cut a promo for me video. I'm going to I'M A. I'm a column see if I can air that on on my instagram academy. I'll check with him out of this. What's he up to now? Oh man he's doing all kinds of stuff you know. He's an inventor he's a broadcaster he's an actor you know he had a good run on that TV series. Kevin can wait us a series regular on that. He's real tight with Kevin James. Kevin James Movie here comes the boom and all the reviews on a more good from that so expect to see him. Probably more Kevin James Projects and more projects overall He invented the trainer. which a lot of people using the cure asthma right? Now that's doing really well. Yeah like boss. A lot of people don't realize boss had asthma so bad as a kid that he was in bed for two three weeks at a time and even when I met him. When we're both fighting the same group in Japan he would always have his inhaler with them and you hit it before he went into the ring for fights he hasn't touched his inhaler ages? And it just the trainer. He invented it for himself and and then sent it to a bunch of universities in totally impartial. And they all came back and said this thing is a revolutionary and has helped a lot of people occur asthma with right. Now I'll be damn guy you know so it'd be interesting to see him and UFC now. Oh if he was primed up and like thirty you know what there's a lot of fighters were just because you're sport generational I remember. Michael Jordan asked who's better your wilt chamberlain. He said well. It's not a fair question to ask because the game was different in his day. Lennox Lewis would be Jack Johnson awesome. It doesn't mean Jack. Johnson wasn't as great as Louis but in Boston's case is one of the few rare cases where you could take that human being in his prime and drop them in any era of mixed martial arts and he would wreck everybody boss would probably be fighting at one eighty five because it is top end. Wait when he was fighting was just under two ten and I think you would murder murder at one eighty five and he'd be the middle champion forever. So are you going to write another book When we were bouncers were you two or three renditions now? I got to and I'm halfway off with the third right now. Okay now on a third one because you scrap together to solid books and I got a chance to write the Ford. What number one number two number two can go on about it? Hit them head to admit still chairs. I have three now. Are these shoes stores. Are you starting to make. She ended up because material Barrio. I absolutely not I love by this. You Damn right because if you're at a bar if there's a bunch of stories especially hanging around with knuckleheads like us and the people we find yet and it's it's still hits me with this when I first started writing series. I thought it was just going to be one book as to be no surprises for me. I'd bounce for twenty years. I've seen needed all done at all. Bullshit I have people telling me crazy stuff that dropped my jaw and also the perspective on it too. I was initially thinking okay. I'll get get stories about banging in the bathroom. The stories about an fist fighting outside the club stories about all taking drugs and stuff. And that's about it but then you guys like Theo Rossi from sons of anarchy and Y'all his chapters actors really long and he's really philosophical about the dynamic between the East Coast where he comes from the new came to l. a. and started balancing and how people thought he was a freaking animal because they think differently a big Rob Archer. Who's WHO's an actor out of Toronto and he got phillies killer crosses in volume three same things breaking down the psychology of a why things happen happen in a bar and why people do what they do so you get all perspective you get the funny ass like just straight up you know shock value stories and then you also get stuff like that so it's so entertaining putting these stories together? Hey what have you learned from a psychological aspect of just watching or trying to break someone down or look at their body language or their intent. Can't or where they're at her house locked up they are on our what they're on have you learned to diagnose people just from looking at them. It's mainly experience and you see people behold themselves. You see certain things like they don't tell us they don't even realize giving away like if you see somebody waiting the back leg leaning onto the back leg. They're loading something they're about the throw windmill there. You look at their hands and see if the holding something but that's one thing Also I've found a lot of time. It's kind of like when a dog starts growling and then the Ragas real low and quiet. They're about to go people talking like that too especially when they're really other really angry or really fucked up on something. Same thing happens when that starts. I get a little bit quiet. You better move I because they're about to move stuff like that and would you do I'll probably ask you this before but it's been a long time since we've talked like this. This is far real deal holyfield stuff. Do you want to just remove someone from the equation being the room or the club. Are you ever get partial industry. Just want to fuck somebody up back in the old days. You're not doing it now. I'm just asking I I hate to say but I'm asking for human being like everybody else in and it's something that actually gets referenced in when we rebound quite a few times an acronym bric Ravenhill Road Princeton his chapter in its that thousands of human beings. And you're dealing with the worst of human behavior aviator night after night after night. You don't know how thin that bouncers stretch and same with cops sandwich stuff like that. It's like you might be coming up on that. You might be the fifty thousand th asshole. He's seen seen this month in a year. The straw that broke camel's back and I've had realized camel's back broken a few times masked some people up bad just because they did step out of line. They did earn themselves a little bit of beating. I might have gone too far with it because I thank God that this they weren't cell phone cameras back dinner. I'd still be in jail today. But but you know you. Just you can only deal with so much negativity tait Fletcher the actor. He mentioned he said. I had to quit bouncing because I was getting dark because you just see the worst of people night after night after night. You're only seeing seeing that side of humanity and you ask your perception of people and You know even start dehumanizing the crowd after wall and seeing them more livestock sometimes and so when you see the same. MPP coming in you know like I remember one night. It was Christmas Eve and I see these people and I know the kids at home and they're in their five nights a week. Anyway getting messed up and what you've got to be on Christmas Eve. He's getting drunk again you piece of garbage and there's no way to be looking at people so yeah I gotTa admit there were nights that I might have. I'M GONNA throw in an extra shot or I might have been a little bit rougher. I should have been but I never never did anything to anybody. Didn't put himself in that position. There's always Jesus Christ he'll have guys used to balance but it's an. It's an interesting using job but it has to be done. Yeah and here you break down like it scientifically. Yeah you're the worst and just the biggest assholes and sometimes people with the best intentions are go out or with worst intention man sometimes. It's just like an old t-shirt says incident. Seoul just add alcohol yes Because that factor. I always hated as much as I've loved to drink. You know whenever I've done you know whether it's with wrestling or Dessau to whatever there's always those people all and I. I was never one of them. That if you get drunk I'm same guy. But some people forget about it and get loud they get belligerent. They just get mean-spirited range spirited. They WANNA just fucked up. Yeah and you want to be you want to be a happy drunk lobby. Believe me about but not too happy so this you turn into the obnoxious. We know it won't shut the fuck up you won't be overly friendly. Droves just the cooperative drunk I love you guys man. If you're if you're messed up I wanNA cut you some extra slack. If you just super cooperate when when I come come on you gotta gotTa give you instructions..

"Because that's where i had my last fight in japan just blew me away this huge physical sensation of nostalgia when i walked in like wow man twenty years ago i address i haven't been corcoran and twenty or so it was like the original old school texting right a message for lenny on the wall he'd write a message of the next month i go back and then right now the message is i haven't been there in a long time either that's a cool famous building there you know that's another thing that that trip me out about japan to is being connected to home 'cause you remember from being in japan in the nineties when you're gone you're gone like people your friends didn't see the phone cards to call internationally phone gimmick thing with the time zone was and now it's like somebody can text me just the same as they can write that was going to last couple of questions going back to your wrestling what was your favorite mash that you've ever had easy hands down it was against doctor luther in durban south africa three falls mash of the westridge stadium and he gets ninety nine percent of the credit that i at least had gotten to the point in that tour wide kind of knock the rust off i was really rusty at the beginning and we bought a couple of spas but for the most part i was i would still kinda crop myself at the concept of a long match and we went forty five minutes and it felt like ten and you know he just he put together such a great match and at the end of it all it was funny because we you know we had this that we're hanging out with what we were there and people who had kind of tash himself to that were hanging out with us and we were friends and afterward they're all coming up to us and go into you guys okay with these other thought we were really high trying to kill each other so yeah thank you very much dr.

"My my schedule is such that it's so erotic that i have a lot of free time and and it pays well enough i can do it so i love it and your big annex t fan yes yes very much why is that what would you like about it i think it brought wrestling back to wrestling on under the wwe umbrella i think it was you know it's my i don't have insider knowledge but it's my impression that this was very much triple h is idea and i think it was a very very good one it's a wrestling show and it's very wrestling heavy and you know there's something to be said for the storyline aspect in what what smackdown doesn't want rod does but i connect more with old school most of the show is wrestling and also you don't see your big names every week so you get a chance to get hungry for them next week i think what william regal and triple h everybody is involved in annexed he's doing his fantastic i just love the product that's great because you'd use flyer under the japan the wrestling team how's that going there because that was the tokyo dome show yes yeah yeah that was that was cool it to be honest i don't wanna sound like a dish by saying this but it is kind of tough to sit in the crowd when when you're used to being backstage or or being in the vip section so it was tough and it says a lot for dedicated the fans work because i was like five and a half hour show so it's pretty grueling but oh my god i mean that was the show that had the i can you know mega kazuko okada match the six star match as a main event and there was some really really amazing towns on that show and it was just so great to be back in japan when i went to fight i grew to really love it very quickly i love that country but again after i stopped going nobody was paying my way over there anymore and i had no money so being able to afford a fly over there and you'll stay nice hotel and see tokyo again he was just it was i loved every part of that trip and and yet definitely seen that.

"Oh man so let's talk about i mean i'm sure there's a million more stories if you tell what stuntman but let's talk about your books which is another cool thing you've written both these books two parts when we were bouncers how did you get the idea to do this it was just something does rolling around in my head because i worked as a monster on and off for about twenty years in fact i believe i was other your orlands as replacements at malarkey in calgary when you guys quit but i was thinking that bouncers how such crazy insane stories and yet i've never seen a book about bouncers that did well and i was wondering why that wasn't trying to find a way to market these stories and then i realized bouncers kind of a negative association it's kind of like a rightly wrongly a lot of people don't like cops for the same reason because usually when you do with a cup it's not a good situation for yourself whereas firefighters every them because when you're dealing with my a good thing for yourself so bouncers the guys are beating you opportunity you can't come in and whatever and i realized i've been really lucky i mean i know people you know people like be ufc champion boss route and i know movie stars i know a lot of famous people who used to be bouncers and that's the connection for the reader is even if you don't like bounces well yeah but i like chris jericho i like boss i like you samoa joe and so that's the hook there's going to get people to listen to these stories and once they read the stories than than i was pretty confident they'd be hooked from there so where did you start does far as getting some of these stories and some of these famous people to initially it was contacting people already knew talk to you and lance and i talked to.
