"The sentencing of this woman and a morgan lloyd because similarly she gave a statement where you know she told the judge he was ashamed of what happened on january six you called savage display of violence but then she went on fox news thereafter not long after the next day and basically said. I don't think it was an interaction and you know. I didn't see the violence that wasn't nobody was breaking anything and it was common that people were actually walking out of the capitol building that worked. There walked right past us and they had no fear on their face at all. When they call it an insurrection. What are you said. I can only talk about the area. I was in and i don't believe it so it was this kind of two step of saying you know. I'm horrified by this. But then at the same time. Not really i mean whether paula hodgkins will decide to do a mediatory. Later is anyone's guess. I will say a big difference between those two cases. Is that paul hodgkin's it's getting ready to surrender to the federal bureau of prisons. In a short time and morgan. Lloyd was sentenced to probation. Anamour loyd got probation. She is not going to jail So that really was the end of her case. But paul hodgkin's lawyer was arguing that you know. Look back at what happened with anna morgan lloyd. My client deserves a similarly light sentence. He argued that the judge made very clear that he was interested in that argument. Judge said big differences. That paul hodgkin's was charged with felony. An animal organ loyd was not. I wanna introduce the judge in this case. His name is randolph moss. He was appointed in twenty fourteen. Is that right. "Increases the burden to me. The responsibility burden on the democratic chairman Chairman thompson bennie thompson. And then the role of liz. Cheney who is most likely going to have to put her own career at risk. She's a republican but appointed to one of the democratic seats when they have votes on witnesses on documents on what to make public on how to proceed The democrats needless cheney's out on some of those issues And so i think look sadly it's going to be more political than i would hope it would be because it's such an important day in our history and we should it should be all about the facts But you know that was. It's not even think it would be. I would expect a lot of confrontation. And i have a big question. Mark about you know the productivity. I think that really comes down to how the democrats manage it the way this is constructed. Pelosi's gotta sign off on the republican nominees. I don't think she just looked she's done it yet. There's no doubt she's she's not going to veto. One of mccarthy's choices issue. I don't believe she will. Jim My colleague maharaj who tried to ask her several questions today. Follow her down the hall of the capitol. And she said she was not ready to say whether or not she endorses them Let's say she. Vetoes wanted mccarthy's picks Then the republicans boycott the committee and they blamed pelosi I know. I know she's not gonna like the picks she's not gonna appreciate the tone But i don't think that. I don't see that she has a choice but i don't think she i don't think there's a choice that She wants this committee to proceed. And i think four to proceed even with the questions about whether it'll be effective whether it'll be overly political. She has to approve them. She may say some things about them. She may try to put them into her context. What she does. I don't see a way around it. Maybe surprised me. But i don't see it so now we have The one of the convictions aeneas invaders of the capital on january six paul hodgkin's thirty eight years old. I think the feds wanted a little about a year and a half. He ended up getting eight months. Apparently he made a so-called sincere confession. What's the reaction to that in the legal community Look the justice department. You're right after eighteen months and they got eight months in prison so there are quote unquote disappointed..

"And i think you said before the show What what this means. What concerns you most about. This is how these problems can be fixed for the future Because i don't. I don't think all of a sudden Let's say they have the evidence they say trump's On the right track. And technically he really want i think the odds of them changing president just the atmosphere. I mean i. I just don't think that's going to happen. But i still support what they're doing. Yeah matter of fact. I mean right now Even though finding out the truth about lbj didn't help us a whole lot. They keep doing things. Because i was a victim of that type of activity in one thousand nine hundred ninety six and so it's it's but i think the more we know about it. I think this information important is already reflect being reflected in the various states who are changing their laws in the suming more responsibility because no money people even thought through. Oh the courts can't do this in the congress can do this and but it really is the state legislature the have a lot of cloud about having honest elections and telling telling the country who d- electors are so. I think the information gained from this very important. So i hope they don't quit because they Have all of a sudden switch presence here in the knicks to not likely if they're worried about people losing faith in democracy rigged elections are pretty easy way to have that happen. Last item is another showroom when we can put up that that next clip with The read on it. Senate democrats oppose requiring women to register for military. Grab dr paul shirley in favor of this. This is equality we equality in slavery. That's what that's what this is. all about. People should have excuse me. People should have a right to their life. We believe that but that that doesn't have much You know affect on people when they're writing legislation. And i think of this as a category i we should have. Our lives are our own. We should have a right to our bodies and our lives and This thing that i've used as an example is that is If you have a right to your life you should have a right to the fruits of your labor. If you have the right to the fruits of your labor there would be no. Irs you spend your money the way you want to spend your own money but So i see that as a threat to right to your life but then the draft and registration or being forced to take the vaccine. You lose that right to your body and and to your life and this something that The the liberals have been wanting to do this forever. I don't think this is all of a sudden going to happen. I think people are going to Eventually majority american people probably are going to be happy with this difference between treating men.

"The testing but this was the biggest deal going with the task and most people finally came around to believing the the the person who designed tests said. I can make that test anything you wanted to say. So the the tests have been totally unreliable but it that was used to terrorise terrorizing people scare them to death and and kids being scared. It's it's it's a real shame so I think it's an interesting point that They're they're getting they're buying this company. Maybe you have the answer for what they're doing. What you do. Scratch your head. Because kate y you know the they might be bad guys but source and gates or no dummies right the very successful businessman how they got it as another story. But you'd think at this stage of the game. The smart business money would not be investing on further cova testing because for all intents and purposes it looks like this pandemic is petering out The different variants will be less deadly as we go as it always happens so you think in a way this is not a great business deal unless you're wondering these guys essentially are using their money to bet on long covert or permanent. Kobe seems like they have something else in mind. Well we've been a little bit suspicious of that. Because i think they're tone is certainly that It's going to be around for a while longer. I'm always looking for the for the next variant. they found. they can find the variance but Someday they'll admit maybe the variant isn't nearly as dangerous as they are claiming and maybe there's even a natural benefit to have a very and maybe it does contribute To to immunity. Certainly the vaccines that that Have been paid for by. The taxpayer. doesn't seem to take care of the problems even the white house. Aides and the anti pelosi didn't get much protection from those vaccines so ready for the next item. Okay this is This is one this is politics. And sometimes i get tired of the inside politics but i think i was involved in politics for a few years But this one has to do once again with honesty about our election in arizona From from my view It looks like there's some people in arizona that Are doing very sincere effort at trying to de out the truth about what happened in the last election and some of these things that they're looking at now and checking they say it's really never been done before because most people accept it and you know elect election corruption has been around for a long time and all i can think of is. How did lbj really become a powerful person. One thousand nine hundred forty eight. It was box thirteen and everybody in texas knows about it and yet they've he senate leader then it became president united states and then he then he ended up Because his policies were so bad. He ended up in pretty dollar shave. My matter of fact. I think that led to his death so but he Right now they're they're talking about Finding enough self that there's no way that trump in win arizona. Well that's interesting. We're not pretending that we have any conclusions about this but you cannot deny were seeing in. It's very interesting list. Look at this next clip. This is from a mainstream publication in the uk. Most cova deaths in england are now in the vaccinated. But here's why that shouldn't alarm okay. That's he signed the point. Let's look at the next one. This next clip is really interesting because this is a chart. It's a little hard to read but it says in europe if we can move that in europe he said something really odd is going on in europe we seeing surges at many places where most of the population is already been vaccinated at the same time. The fifteen least vaccinated countries don't seem to face any problem at some point. Denying this problem. We'll get painful. And you have multi on top which i believe is nearly one hundred percent vaccinated. The uk into the netherlands are very very highly vaccinated. And they're the ones that are having these big searches right now in. Nobody really understands it. Let's look at this next week. This is an interesting laboratory. Dr paul gibraltar is fully vaccinated every eligible citizen by april..

"Us. Today is daniel mcadams are co host daniel. Good to see. How are you this morning. Dr paul doing well good well right already to solve another problem. I hope so these the solution if we get the if we get to make our own judgment. We've talked a lot of problems. Yeah but we can't be dishonest to ourselves. If we don't people don't want to be honest with us at all we need. We need honesty and truth him. That's what we lack and there are some things here. We're going to report on today and we're going to start with something is disgusting. You know in the area of justice and that has to do with The saving of democracy by a putting a man away to prison for eight months and destroyed. His wife is family in the whole works because he walked into the capital took. A picture did no acts of violence whatsoever but he was number one on the list. He was the enemy of the state. Yup had a trial prosecutor. You know really really hit them. Hard with all his viciousness so He was destroying the country. I just want to set the stage. By showing a little short statement at the prosecutor said he said we had to go after him and put him in jail because he contributed to the collective threat to democracy according to the prosecutors. And of course we're talking about january six and And you know the insurrection. That was not an insurrection. was a demonstration without even having guns except one gun that killed us. I'm innocent person that they won't tell us they're going to put this man in jail what's gonna happen to the other five hundred so many people. They're all going to be up for trial too and I have no idea. I can't imagine that there won't be Some some sort of an appeal on this because a such an outrage but that's that's been anticipated and then it finally was just announced yesterday the day before and I think i think the other thing he did. He didn't go in and take a picture of the police. Maybe acting properly. He took a picture of himself..

"Good you know. I wonder if these guys are gonna be on. Tv they going to become you know like activists when they get out and beyond fox news or be on newsmax and talk in the new york post going to become like celebrities personalities out there because there's a whole bunch of him and they must be so bitter just so wound up and ready to get out and tell their stories. I hope so because there's a lot that can be said for You know for for the justice system. targeting non violent people. I mean there's there's this is a pretty clear example of a lot of railroading. That's going on. You'll hear i've got a cut of of ryan lucas from npr news in the courtroom talking about what the judge who wanted to make an example of paul hodgkin's so i mean that that's that's not right in a non punctuation tweet about this amazing how many people say eight months not enough. I'm like crazy. People belong prisons. What people like. Paul hodgkin's didn't they were really doing. Anything really egregious. I mean they thought it's the capital. They've seen protesters. They probably saw the cabinet protesters walking through the capital. They got flag. There walk through capital the not. She eminent jeb. Anyone with the flagpole smashing windows and they're thinking oh those those idiots over there vandalizing. They'll probably go to jail but not me. I'm not doing anything. And then they find out they're going to spend you know the next year plus in jail. I think it was a shock to all of them. And then i've said this before but a year of watching antifa scum black lives matter people destroying cities on. Tv you sit back and say wow that just destroyed stores and businesses and burning courthouses and it just it kind of trains your mind to think that it's not really that that wrong to maybe you know whatever kicking window. These people do it every night and ever seen any time. There are no consequences but they forgot. That's only one side is allowed to do that. Only the friends of kamala joe allowed to burn buildings and destroy small businesses With impunity can't do that if you're on the other side and yet members of congress to. I can't remember who it was you might. You probably have better memory for this than i do saying that. sometimes you need to get violent. During the protests like members of congress are saying that. I can remember it well that would be ianna presley. Yes we need more uprising in the streets. So s- people in minneapolis or kenosha. Who would try to run a shoe store and they're destroying the place turn on the tv and elected members of congress. Said we need more of that. There are no members of congress are really defending the january six riders. Hell is some point. That has to be somebody ted cruz or or jim jordan has to come up and say okay enough you know they. They crossed the line. They committed crimes. Make the pay a fine. Make them do community service. But you can't put everyone who walked through the capital in prison for a year. Just that's over doing it. That's overreaching no one says that. But if you put antifa. I mean if even question antifa or oh god knows your question black lives matter a marxist organization that wants to defend the police and if you question them then you know you're you're racist or whatever but i asked this last week or or any of the people in congress are celebrities who were big alum fans going to stand with them when they defended the communist thugs in cuba against the dissidence. I don't see too many people standing with black lives matter on this. They'll still you know they'll still send the money and fly the little flags or put their signs up and says be a lamb but when says where with the communist tyrants in cuba. Their friends are oddly. Silent didn't hear from the red sox organization which loves virtue signal and show you their black lives matter. Banner didn't hear much about cuba from them or from any of the elected officials as you point out you know although afc said it was all the united states is fault so the squad you can never squad will never let you down. They hate america. You know have some nuance yes. The embargo is a problem. It would be better off if we traded with with cuba trying to bring them into the twenty first century to try to show them what freedom is all about yes that would be better but but at the same time like this is a communist dictatorship who are walking into people's houses and shooting them in the head like we're seeing that on tv news. There's literally prisons with political with this. It's in prison torturing killing them and we have congress people. I mean realize not really smart congress. People now we're real dumb congresspeople. People saying yeah. We're with the government of cuba against the distance as despicable. I think though you know in the long run this will kill milu's. They've already lost florida. Because they're that's these people are pretty passionate about. What's going on in cuba. And they know there's good guys and bad guys and people gayle see ilan omar and on are there with the bad guys with the taliban like what she say that too. It's the same it's equivalent or with the soviet union with where with young. She doesn't understand. She doesn't where with kim jong own right. But you're right she's she's just I mean she's just dumb and she's but she's got a lot of influence kind of an amazing thing. And i mean it can't be really bright and really well read on the subject and think we're with the castro regime or with the raul castro. Was there now you know. Probably ordering the executions. Yeah we're with that guy. Although to be fair people have martyred shaffer for decades right. I mean t shirts and stuff. Similar underestimate stupidity. They have this shirts and echeverri. It's it's true in a us. Underestimate the the lemming factor with they're just gonna fall along with with the squad i'm with you know. Blm even though is doing. Here is anti-american anti-freedom. It's it's disgusting but we'll see we'll we'll see how that plays out. Hopefully you know it. It royals for a little longer in the Get get some support from around the world. But anyway you want to hear about the from the judge though or did you want to go from ryan. Lucas quoting the judge. Reading here it is. I'm ready said what happened on january. Sixth was horrific and it did profound damage to the country's democracy and he said it is essential to send a message that the rioters actions are unacceptable but at the same time he sentencing only paul hodgkin's for his actions and moss said he thinks hodgkin's made some very bad decisions on january sixth but he doesn't think that hodgkin's poses a threat in the future so if he doesn't pose a threat in the future and he wasn't violent. Why are you putting them in prison at all. Finding i suppose to if you're judge i was this when i was reading about. This is supposed to say. I need to come down hard on this guy to Deterred connects supposed to be your in your purview..

"Is paul hodgkin's he's thirty eight year old crane operator from florida. And he came up to dc on january sixth. And as far as i can tell he didn't assault anybody he didn't punch hit kick any cops even space spray. Beer bear spray on any cops. He had trump flag and trump shirt any walked around the capital. And that's trespassing. And that's whatever they call it disrupting a preceding a rarely used church. that's really invoke by the by the authorities. I believe in two thousand eighteen. A big group of feminist protesters stormed into the senate during an official proceeding. They went down the aisle screaming about cavenaugh. Being a gang. Rape stay accosted senators in the elevators in the hallways i believe. None of them was charged with a disrupting official preceding. Paul hodgkin's was that made it a felony. The prosecution wanted eighteen months and asked the judge to make an example of him because they have many many more cases. Five hundred more people to to put away but the guys doing eight months of president elusive job. He'll probably lose all his money. You know he'll he'll is all life has been turned upside down. I believe trespassing which happens a lot in the capital but in this case these are enemies of the regime. These are these are people that they want to make an example of. So he's going to go to prison and he's already been in jail for a while but he's going to go to prison for eight months. Which is less than the prosecution wanted. But i think that will set the standard anybody who trespassed who walked into the capital when the cops opened the door and welcomed him in is going to do at least eight months which is nuts. Every time i tweet about this every time i talk about this i hear from people saying screw them. Screw those people they suck because you know they're again. They're enemies of the regime that trump supporters people hate them. It is a. I don't know how you could argue that. It's not a political persecution or a a political prosecution. Whatever you wanna call it. It is political what this guy did. What paul hodgkin's did was nothing. Compared to what antifa scum did all across this country for two hundred hundred fifty nights last summer last fall last winter they charges for most of the antifa criminals including the ones who tried to set the court house on fire. Every night have been dropped. We know they were bailed out by kamala harris. We know the prosecution. These radical da's reluctant to press any charges. Rarely does any of them go to prison for even a day and when they get bailed out they come right back and stuff thrown bricks again. And that's that's the thing. It's not even a comparison. You're talking about someone who's nonviolent who trespassed but did a nonviolent thing versus people who were throwing bricks throwing altaf cocktails lighting things on fire. Those are all violent actions. And for this guy. You're with me on this toronto. Good good of course. A lot of people are not just because they hate the maga- crowd and what many did was disgusting on january six. Then if they were smashing windows or you know shoving cops. I'm all for putting them in jail. You know i'm. I'm all for proportion here again. The thing that bothers people is not necessarily the prosecution. it's the two tiered justice system. I mean i did this yesterday. Because it was the anniversary of ted kennedy killing murdering mary jo capacity admit it is always been a a trigger for me to think of this fat drunken scumbag senator killing mary jo kopechne e a woman. He didn't even know her name. Just some young woman. He was married obviously he was screwing around. He was driving drunk. She they went in the water. She had plenty of time could be saved. He had no interest in saving. You swam back. Took a nap and then started calling is political fix fixers and lawyers because you know there was some girl in the car. He put an neckbrace on and pretended to be a remorseful. He lost his license. I think for six months hidden to a day in jail. He murdered somebody and didn't do a day in jail and the and the voters in massachusetts sent him back to the senate every six years until he died in two thousand nine an absolute disgrace to the state a disgrace to this country. Just a vile person who was elected in landslide every year because people love the kennedys and because they like free stuff but didn't day jail. Paul hodgkin's is going to do eight months plus for waving a flag and walk into the capital. That's it and he's the first of many and they will many of them going to jail doing hard time losing their jobs losing their small businesses being pariahs because they want in the capital when the cops opened the doors and they strolled around. We've seen some of the video again. There are some violent guys. there's some vandals punish them. Punish them and put them in jail. That's fine but there are five hundred people who are going to go to jail here. Five hundred people who trespassed and maybe we're charged with disorderly conduct. Who are going to go to jail. Probably in solitary confinement for a good long stretch. They're gonna over. Punish hundreds of people for this just because they dared to protest against the election of joe biden just because they dared to take a stand against the regime. It's gonna get ugly but this this one person as upset many times covers this. And if you don't follow julie kelley from american great issue missing something because she's done great work. She talks to the family. She talks to some of the people who the writers who've been charged. She gets her hands on some of the video yesterday. She had an amazing tweet and it was. I don't even know how you get this. But she says these prisoners the january sixth insurrectionists who are in this deplorable jail jail in dc. It's you know really crappy conditions. Some of them have alleged abuse at the hands of the guards. But apparently it's a filthy jail in dc and every night at nine o'clock the the deplorables or in jail all the direction est sing the national anthem. I guess to end another boring day in jail. And somehow julie kelley got a hold of the audio do we have this. I have the audio. It's it's really rough but if you want this is this is the deplorables in jail and nine o'clock each night singing the.

paul hodgkin julie kelley eighteen months january sixth six months Five hundred Paul hodgkin eight months florida joe biden january six five hundred people last summer yesterday last fall mary jo each night mary jo kopechne e two thousand two hundred hundred fifty nigh

"What's the big deal you don't have to even know it doesn't matter what she does for a living unless she's a criminal as i said yes that if tucker biden if it's a stone cold criminal then you can say we don't want your kind. He of what she's doing is legal. She's doing adult films which i understand. They're not for everybody. I don't want my kids watching brandy loves greatest hits it's for adults consenting adults and i bet you that some of the people and and you know this is true. Some of the people who wanted her out. Whether it's charlie kirk with the rest of his you know his board or the people in charge of turning point are probably quietly in their own private time big fans big fans of brandy love but they wanted to take the moral high ground and they said get her out of there and they kicked her out. That's a lie as because you know what are you. Eighty percent of the audience watches porn or fifty percent of the audience watches point you got to you if the mall there. You've got to expect. Some of them have only fans some of them have pose nude before it's such. It's so dumb. I private organization can do what you want but they just made a huge story at of this this is a big thing should let her style. And i know you're talking about you're not talking about a stunt you know when you see people showing up at these events whether it's c-pack or a republican convention it oftentimes it stunts and it's people who don't believe a word of of they're not like minded conservatives. They're there to stir things up. And she i guess by her presence stirs things up because of who she is but if you follow her on twitter and you know i i have to. Because she's outspoken conservative and as somebody wrote there was a couple. you know matt walsh. The the the daily wire guy was pretty passionate In in support of the decision kicker out in others took the other side. I'm gonna go with you on this one carolina. I'm gonna go with the libertarian and say hey let's she's unless she's promoting porn unless she's promoting her job her movies. Why do you care if she just sits there and smiles. She's a happy warrior. She's always tweeting positive things about this younger. She's she's no kids. She's forty eight years old but she is a fan of this group of these people. Have charlie kirk of dan bongino at. She went there to listen to them to watch them speak and she paid. It will pay for ticket showed up. I mean she's sh- against get some video of her walking in a video of the whole event but what's wrong with that. Do you really think she's gonna convince she's gonna win like some converts to porn like she's going to influence these eighteen year old female conservatives to you know suddenly get into porn i mean do you know what every single person who tends. Your event does for a living charlie kirk do you do you vet them that closely. We assay everybody. Who buys a take it you know. Do you do honest work do and again. She's not dealing drugs she's not a bilking people out of their money. She's just doing doing adult films. That's what she does. And i think you know. Maybe you know maybe met walsh. Maybe charlie kirk is not hypocritical. Maybe they don't watch your movies. They maybe don't want any poor. Maybe they're generally morally opposed to it but you separate it just say i don't like what she does but she paid her money. She's cheering. she's having a good time. She's promoting these guys and their ideas. She's expanding the tent in other base. She's got a big tent. And if you're gonna. I'm sure most of her fans. Big fans are libertarian. In some way maybe they're they're they're big conservative but they certainly believe in the freedom to do what she does. And i'm maybe there's some people think it should be illegal outlawed. i think that's sort of what met walsh lady. Yeah maybe that's what he believes. But i think that's what's missing in the conservative movement is the live-and-let-live streak that used to be there. And now that's gone a lot of the live-and-let-live people have gone over to the democrat side. It's not gone it's not gonna. I don't think it's people like matt walsh. That's really disappointing. That he he feels that way. But i but. I think it's genuine. I've heard him. He believes and i'll tell you why i think there is i. That's not crazy to say. I don't think porn should be illegal. That's nuts consenting adults doing the most natural thing in the world but it is much much too easily accessible every thirteen year. Old boy can grab his phone or his ipad in watching the most hard core gang bang scenes. And you know you name it. They could see it. There's no a governors in place. Obviously there's they're only fans things you have to sign up for things you have to subscribe to but if you just want to look at the free stuff it's all there it's all there and there really isn't any controlling it unless you as a parent. Don't let your kid have a foam which is hard to do. If you've ever been a parent you know. That's not easy to do. And when your kid is fourteen fifteen sixteen and all the other kids and you could say you not allowed to go on that website. You not allowed to use that computer but you can only do so much to stop your kid from seeing the most hardcore stuff but that is that's a trade off with freedom freedom comes freedom only works if people take responsibility for their own actions and the actions of their family and kids. It doesn't work otherwise you tell me. Tell me how to stop a thirteen year old boy. Yes yes so you can put you can put brakes on On content delivery for your kids. I mean there are computers their phones. You even at the modem itself you can do it there are parent control techniques that you can use easy it would be to beat so you put the controls on his phone and then he goes to his friend's house or you go out on your computer mean i wouldn't also i would also talk to my kids and say hey. Listen this is this is. This is kind of kind of uncomfortable really adult stuff. I would have the same conversation with them about violence on on tv as well. But i would rather them watch that than a bunch of people getting slaughtered On i mean neither neither is good fruit. Things they can learn on on you porn or on porn hub. And if you said you had to be eighteen to to watch that was genuinely way to to make sure in a fourteen year olds. Were not watching everything on you porn. I would say. I'm all for that. And i understand. It's the parents job first.

"The gerry. Callahan podcast. This is very exciting here. Khurana berg site. It's only a matter of minutes before. Jeff bezos and his brother head up into space. I'm i'm a big space guy. I'm pretty yeah. Yeah yeah. I mean i love the fact that heading into space. My only problem is his is. Why does he have to come back. Kenny just just stay up there and float around for the rest of eternity. I do have a problem with a couple of things and maybe two i don't even know your stance on space if you want to say you love space. Are you excited for the big launch blue origin. Jeff bezos the second billionaire who will head into space this month. Both of them Apparently beating elon musk. The spacex guy. Who's always shooting rockets into space. But anyway jeff bezos is heading into space. There are four people in this pilotless aircraft. And i'm looking at their picture right now and i'm not happy and i don't think anybody should be happy. There is very little diversity on this on this voyage. I don't know if you noticed. There is no are no people of color there are no transgender space. Astronauts on this and i am disappointed. Pesos is the ultimate super woke. Stir he owns the washington. Post the media wing of the woke mob. That's his little play plaything and he owns amazon. Obviously and they they don't they don't sell controversial books and they they are super super woke and i cannot believe. Rock is going into space with no people of color. No transgender astronauts. Hell we got a transgender person on the cover of the swiss swimsuit issue. And we'll get to that but no one in. Jeff bezos has rocket. but there is. There's the first of the of aids though you got an eighteen year old in you've got an eighty two year old woman. He's got an eighteen year old from the netherlands and even know why they picked him in an eighty two year old woman who was in the space program in the sixties but was denied a chance to go into space because of her gender and now she's the chance but don't you worry if the thing blows up in in what i call it re reading up i mean this. I mean the eighty two year old of a good long life but the eighteen year old. I'm sorry if that's if i'm mom or dad. I don't want my kid going up into space with chip as owes But that's happening any moment now in all the space nerds or excited. And how long was he in. He's going to be in-space for like ten minutes. Yeah very long at all. They're just gonna float around like like the branson richard branson's people did urging. They were without gravity. What do you call that when you're floating around the spaceship. Yeah the three minutes. It was like three minutes. That was for richard branson and then they came back to earth and they all survived and everyone all the space nerds were very happy but they had their last meal. Jeff bezos made. It made a funny. He joked about having their last meal before heading to space. And there's a big media contingent. I'm sure they're all just. They probably all one way or the other work for jeff pesos. All there to to write and talk about what a bold brave explorer chip as those is in what a great. What a great american. But we will keep an eye on that for our our facebook and era and our to viewers. Who are watching live. It's happening in fifty six minutes. I'm pretty excited But i really don't care how you're you're excited but you're not excited. No i think it's cool. I think i think in the in this regard elon. Musk is right that that humanity is fragile being on one planet and so establishing another call me on. Mars is a good idea up. Sure that's going to happen like a week from tuesday. We're gonna start calling on mars. This is just an ego trip. Twenty years this has nothing to do with established got calling on. Mars is plenty of room on this planet. Bezos is just one of these billionaires and branson and elon. Musk and you know they're bored. Basis building a five hundred million dollars yacht biggest you out in the world. I'm sure it'll have a massive carbon footprint but they'll probably be like a windmill on it or some kind of composting station will say look. It's green. He's concerned about the environment. It has a tender boat that has a helicopter landing pet. Not just the yacht. The tender boat also has a helicopter psycho bounds. Yawn and paul allen is not in basis league anymore financially but he has a submarine on his yet so he can drop down the cruise around submarine. These guys are running out of things to do to buy to keep their you know to keep their interest and excitement on fair. I honestly i think that's unfair. I think part of that is they want the adventure. But i also think i do believe that. Ilan believes that there are at this fragile. You've seen the earth. Get to extinguish. Life from earth has been extinguished a few times in the history of the planet and for humanity and survive another comment. We need another planet. So earth is fragile. And you're going to build a five hundred million dollar yacht. We'll just ask dateline musk. Musk he's all that's true. We invented the tesla so we can't do whatever produced the tesla so we can't knock musk. Musk musk as as a kind of a kind of a rabble-rouser he's always like that. I can't. I can't just a little a little dangerous. I can't wait. I can't wait to spend my last few days on of my life on mars. I think that'll be a good way to end his good goodwin to end your life. Go to mind one. I'm ninety five years old. I got nothing left to go. See the red planet and peacefully. Hawaii wouldn't you rather just go to hawaii would go to mars. I think i'll do both your surfer. Wouldn't you rather go to australia. Then go to mars. There's no surfing mars. You can visit these places in. I'm saying when i'm past the point of being able to serve when i'm an old fragile man. Ninety five years old. I'll die peacefully more after. Say you're you're smart guy. You seen bamboo stuff together. But you're not a kid. You're not a kid anymore you're in your forties and you're going to surf camp with your there. That's that's what you do when you're eighteen or even thirteen. I want to have a little bit of adventure. When i was away. I didn't wanna just sit around reading a book for a week. That's not that adventurous. Going to the beach in new jersey irving though not just not just on the beach. But i'll tell you what to new jersey and play mini golf. You ate ice cream. That's not that adventurous. What do you do for adventure you. I didn't say. I don't want to go to space. I need space. I like going to the beach. You know i like go to the beach. I like playing golf and not many regular golf. And i like traditional summer fun. I love summer. i don't wanna go to mars. I don't even want to go to rain the summer. Let go to montana. I have a couple friends that go to.

"Biden's election win the new york times reports. Mr hodgkin's told judge randolph. Moss had he was remorseful for breaking into the capital calling it a foolish decision in court papers. The times writes his attorney. Invoked abraham lincoln's words saying that judge moss had a chance to show malice toward none and charity toward all by foregoing prison. time entirely. But the court suggested that would simply encourage future attacks and noted yesterday that hodgkin's brought goggles and a pair of gloves with him to the capitol as if prepared for conflict. The court said hodgkin's deserved less than eighteen months. Prosecutors requested because he didn't assaulted anyone and didn't damage government property. Willie let's bring it. Nbc four washington investigative reporter scott mcfarland. He's been covering the sentencing and plea bargain hearings for those charged for their participation in the capital attacks. Scott it's good to see you this morning. So let's talk first about this case. The one meeker just laid out. Mr hodgkin's a thirty eight year old man from florida who was inside the capitol inside the chamber boldly invoking lincoln's second inaugural asking for mercy. Asking i charity. The judge said no. This would set a bad precedent giving eight months which is a little bit less obviously than prosecutors had hoped for. What's the precedent that we see said. In this case this is really the first big test case will get a lot of people. Don't like the score. Paul hodgkin's got less than what the prosecutors were seeking it his case eight months versus the eighteen requested by prosecutors. He told the judge yesterday that what he did was foolish that it was not inspired by politicians and even set willie that joe biden is the rightfully elected president of the united states but he was angling to avoid any prison. His attorney argued. If you send paul hodgkins to prison he loses his job. He loses his home. He'll have trouble caring for his cats. The judge didn't go for that the prosecutors said in this powerful willie that what hodgkin's did was a part of a domestic terror incident that day and the judge remarked that what happened was so extraordinary that congress had to evacuate its own chambers because of what hodgkinson net mob did but talking to former federal prosecutors. Say when the judge goes that far below the recommended sentence it could lower the bar in other cases because they do strive willie for uniformity in federal sentencing. And in fact the judge rejecting this idea that we've heard for many of these other people been arrested saying i was just following the crowd. If i'd known it was going to get this out of hand. I wouldn't have gone in the first place the judge saying yesterday at least in this case perhaps in the future. That's no excuse for what you did. Scott let me ask you about this question of competency and maybe you can explain a little bit. We're hearing some of these defendants talking about competency whether they're fit to stand trial. Tell us about some of them and what that explanation is what may happen to them. Let me tell you about two of them. Willie i pauline. Bauer restaurant owner in pennsylvania. While paul hodgkin's was being sentenced her hearing was ongoing and it went off the rails. Bauer is trying to represent herself in her case and she told the judge yesterday. She's a sovereign citizen and not subject to the court's authority or authority. So that kind of detoured. The hearing she was talking over the judge. The judge was correcting her. The judge will allow her to defend herself. She's back in court in september. Let's see what happens next. Also want to tell you about land and coppola. He's a military veteran locked up in a local jail in utah awaiting his competency hearing. I spoke to him by phone from his jail cell. He is still trying to get his competency exam to move forward in his case. He says the government is slow. Walking leaving him languishing in jail for months. Now we'll see where that goes but just another hurdle willie in an already large the largest criminal investigation and prosecution in us history so much still to play out here but we have this first sentencing of eight months. we'll see if that becomes the standard nbc four washington investigative reporter scott mcfarland scott. Thanks so much good to see. House minority leader kevin mccarthy announced his picks worry select committee charged with investigating the january six capital attack. They include congressman. Jim banks of indiana will serve as ranking member congressman. Jim jordan of ohio rodney davis of illinois kelley armstrong of north dakota and troy nehls a freshman from texas three of those republicans banks jordan nails previously voted to overturn the results of the november election. You gotta mix from the entire conference jacket. Rings saying he did not speak to. Donald trump. mccarthy's choices still need to be approved by house speaker. Nancy pelosi but she is not signaled. Any plans to turn down any of those choices below announced her own appointments to the panel earlier this month including republican congresswoman liz. Cheney these select committee is scheduled to hold its first hearing next week. Witnesses will include officers from the us capitol police department and the dc metropolitan police department. Let's bring in white house reporter for the associated press jonathan lear pulitzer prize winning columnist associate editor of the washington post and msnbc political analyst. Eugene robinson former senior adviser for the house oversight committee kirk bartonella. He's a columnist for usa today and the l. a. times and an advisor to the d triple c. Good morning to all of you. Jonathan let me start with you. So kevin mccarthy was going to nod to the base. We knew that but three of the five of majority of his picks voted to contest the november election. Three of the picks willie did so and did so after the insurrection. Let's remember the official vote right after the rioters breached capital. We had hours worth of violence. So it's a pretty clear signal here from republican leader mccarthy as to which direction he wants to take these hearings and insurance. Two of the members there didn't do that. They didn't vote to decertify. They did go along with the democratic process. And the joe biden was indeed elected president. But the other three. Jim jordan as we know is one of former president. Trump's most vocal defenders and has willing to say blatant untruth order to defend the former president. He's closely aligned himself with it. And we know that he's still speaks to the former president frequently whether trump is in mar-a-lago or bedminster here so there's no sense that the house speaker pelosi will object to these picks But we certainly will learn more in next day..

"The capital and he made it all the way to the floor of the us senate as you can see in this captured by luke moguls of the new yorker. Hodgkin's brought goggles gloves and a rope with him. Pled guilty to one. Felony count of obstructing official proceeding admitting he was trying to stop the constitutional process of congress. Certifying the election in sentencing. Hodgkin's today federal judge randolph. Moss noted that he was also carrying a trump flag. This symbolism is on mistake about the judge declared in that act he captured the threat to democracy we all witnessed he was staking claim on the floor of the us senate not with an american flag but with the flag of a single individual over the nation hodgkin's who prosecutors acknowledged committed. No active violence spoke with remorse and regret. I put passionate before my principles which resulted in me violating the law for the first time in my life he said adding i wish to state that i completely acknowledge it except that joseph r biden junior is rightfully and respectfully the president of the united states. Prosecutors wanted the sentence of eighteen months in prison. The defense asked for house arrest in the end. Judge moss todd skins to eight months in prison two years probation already. Terry moran live in washington. Tonight and terry. More than two hundred people have been charged with felonies stemming from the attack on the capital and this first sentence today could perhaps give a sense of the level of punishment that might be possible and some of these cases. That's right david and many of the people who attacked this capital. Try to stop the election day. Face much more serious charges. "What they are defining is domestic. Terrorists are people who went to the capital on january six among others but this is the focus of where the war is right now and an example of this is that. Us prosecutors urged a federal judge yesterday to impose an eighteen month prison sentence on the first defendant to face sentencing for a felony and the january six capital breach. Now one point out here that they talk about the five hundred people that have been charged or they're they've arrested and all of these. They're expecting to charge three hundred more but one person only one person has been sentenced and they were sentenced to a misdemeanor and it was just community service. Something like this is the first felony that they're going to be sentencing. And here's what the prosecutor did they. They're trying to get him to do eighteen months. And i'll tell you what the person did then. I'll tell you the reasoning. Why they wanna give them eighteen months. The person's crime. The guy's name is paul hodgkin's his crime was this. He was photographed inside the senate chamber standing near that main desk down there wearing a trump twenty twenty shirt holding a trump twenty twenty flag. He was standing near the q. Shaman as they all pray down there he was just standing there and even the federal prosecutors and the government admit that he was not involved in any violence he did not do anything to break or destroy any property and he was not encouraging anybody. He seems like the way the government describes him. He seems like a model citizen who happened to be marching through the capital with the trump shirt and a trump flag and also. He were goggles at one point and he put on latex gloves at another point to provide assistance medical assistance. First aid to someone who was heard on the inside so that is what this guy did. That's that's why these this is what the prosecutors are saying about this guy. This guy sends like a great guy. He aided and abetted a criminal. He was charged with five felonies. All of them related to entering the capitol building obstructing official government business picketing inside the capitol willfully. All of them are like the same crime just a little bit described that and he pled not guilty originally but then he took a plea deal and he pled guilty to one charge of obstructing official business inside of the capital. So that that's his charge right. So this is the felony. He's charged with this comes with potentially a twenty year prison s the maximum fine. But if you don't have a record if you cooperate if you seem to be a good citizen otherwise and you're not gonna go to jail but the lawyers here even though they describe him as a good guy.
