"But i think that the raiders defense is here to stay. I want better communication from the offense. I want early on versus ravens. A communication was not good. The raiders offense has never looked worse. Honestly i've never seen that rate. Look raider offense. Look as bad as they did early on the steelers come at russia's they're gonna come up blitzes. The offense has to be on a day game due to go toe to toe steelers. Do you just kind of attribute that shaky start at the offense had just to maybe not even playing together in preseason even though they have the scrimmages with the rams and i know they said you know this is all Even better than having a preseason game going through those inter-squad practices but You do feel like the kind of shaking rust or adjusting to the crowd or just working together in real time. We attribute it to. I think. I think let's start with car. I think that sometimes derek gets a little too ramped up. I think he gets a little. That might be you know just the the nerves and the crowd in front of me wants to go out there and make every throw perfectly so i think at first he was a little ramped up. I was trying to force the ball. The wall a lot but i think he was little. He i think in the second half he. Derek settled down a little bit and started making some smarter. Plays with the football. And it's hard. Heidi you gotta you gotta rookie left. Good goes down pretty early on in the game. You got andre james. That's a young player. That's never started that snapping. So you have you have johnson. Who's a young player. You have a lot of inexperienced online and no preseason games you just thrown these guys out there hoping that their work. You got the crowd going nuts. You got the ravens defensive. Lineman claes campbell. It was a huge task. So i think early on it was partners. I think as park communication you saw. What the front with the bad snap. You didn't see a lot of bad snaps. Rodney hudson a derek carr. Let's be honest. So i think they have the find that groove. I think a couple of games can take a couple games to get used to each other. Practice practice scrimmages scrimmages once the pads. Come on a game comes on. It's a different animals big. It's going to take a little bit of time but you can't take time when you're playing the steelers you can't take time with tj. That's off the edge and cam here where it's coming up in the middle. So this line specially with the injury to denzel. Good they need to stay. Need richie incognito back. I don't know what his deal is. I don't know if it's just lingering from last year or it's a new injury or you don't know what it is from richie. They desperately need especially in still game. Guy chain cognate on the field. Hopefully you can get healthy and get out there fisher and just because you are talking injuries..

"No Niner game this weekend Sunday night. Football. Raiders chiefs. It doesn't get much better pre Thanksgiving. The only problem is Raiders may not have any players, right, Exaggerating only slightly. Let's talk about it with Paul Gutierrez, ESPN NFL Nation reporter You just heard his wife on the radio. She was too Paul G. How you doing, Brother? Welcome back to Murphy. Mac, Man. Long time. How you been, man? Hey, guys. Have a gunman. Yeah, it has been awhile. Good to good to hear from You guys didn't realize my wife was onto but all good. Yeah. She was doing her thing making her pitch. I liked it, man. I like this up way We all do. We all make our pitch ball. You stick around pulling, I'll make our pitch to so Don't go. All right. What's the latest? This is crazy 10 10 defensive players on the covert 19 list. What does this mean? Who's playing who's not playing? What's the latest ball? Yeah. So it's interesting because you really got to do your you gotta do you deep dive into what the rules of covert are and everything so basically because one guy tested positive anyone who was considered a high risk close contact by him. Then has to go into self quarantine and isolation for five days. They cannot practice they can cannot come to the facility. You know, I'm here. So when I'm at the facility, I have to go and I have to do my daily covert tests as well. And the other day when I was walking out, I noticed one of the players was in their car and all the ladies that work inside the Covert testing trailer came running down to test him as he sat in his car because again he was not allowed into the trailer in case he was contagious. So on, Lee won guys tested positive Cleveland for all the defensive end, But apparently they all got together Monday night somewhere, and anyone who was there or near him goes on this list. But as long as they all continue test negative for five straight days There, then eligible to play. So right now they're out there practicing we with very much a skeleton crew. But come Sunday morning, they could all be ready to go again. The father decide a thing. It's like an extra by we could these guys right? There's no hitting didn't have the practice and have to do anything on the negative side. Well, they're going into play The Kansas City Chiefs. Without any practice, So it's really kind of Ah, strange situation, something they honestly they they endured earlier this season when they played the Buccaneers when the entire starting offensive line had to go out because one guy just deposited and Trent Brown Yeah, that was the was going to ask about was the, uh They've done this before. Right? And they won that game, right, Paul. After having the Oh, no. They got blown out. They got blown out. Remember here? Yeah. The Buccaneers. The offensive line for the guy turned brown test positive. You knew he was gonna be out, but the four other guys weren't eligible to play until Sunday morning. That was supposed to be a prime time down game as well. But the leak flexed it out because they weren't sure if there was even gonna be a game, took them out. Put them in the afternoon. So you guys have even less time to get ready for the game. They got blown out. But even the defensive coordinator Paul Gunther, yesterday, he said, You know what? That was different because I was one unit. You're talking about a defense with guys missing on every single level of the defense. And you know, you read his quotes like, Ooh, that doesn't sound good. That doesn't look good. You can't understand what he's saying. He said. Look, we're gonna have a hard enough time being the chief thing with our full complement of players. Now you're talking about three quarters of our defense all week long. He doesn't know how they're gonna be able to do it. Well, I mean, they definitely have the sort of us against the world situation for them. Now that said, Let's go back to that first game. When they did beat the Chiefs, handing the chief's their only loss of the season. What can be replicated in that game? I mean, memory serves. Mahomes missed open guys deep. He had his co What career low passing percentage that game. Um, but other than that 25 touchdowns in one pick for this guy was like what happened in that game ball. Defensively, the Raiders and they did they give up 32 points, but but they kept him in check for most of it because it was 42 24 late in the fourth quarter. Um, what they did defensively, was they simply the front four won their battles individual and it wasn't returned old school raider football where the front four guys just simply feet up there. The man in front of them and they applied pressure and that made him uncomfortable now. Patrick Holmes is probably most comfortable when he's uncomfortable right because he just kind of a wizard back there, throwing from every angle and on the run and everything else what the Raiders did, though offensively to help the defense was Derek Carr won the shootout with him. It was interesting to see because They had five plays. I believe a 40 yards or more big chunk plays all the way throughout. So that happens on then, as they they build their lead, Then the running game took over for the Raiders, and the best way to be Patrick Mahomes is to keep him off the field. They chewed up the clock. Josh Jacobs took over the game, and that's how you get Capone. So to speak. You go out there and you just keep him off the field. If you get into an early shootout with them, take the lead and then close it out with one of the best closers and Josh Jacobs because it was a fantastic performance of the questions. Can they replicated again with the with the chief's motivated and the other angle? Coming off the by anytime? A team as a bye week, we all go to the stats. And the Chiefs. Have a hell of a record. What Sandy reads like 18 and three, right? So I mean this so many things pointing to the chiefs in this game. It just can't be that easy, Can it Paul? I mean the cove it the bye week. The revenge factor. Hey, Can you craft a case for the Raiders? Best path to victory is to replicate what you just said..

"If you want to hear Dante Ni always do after. Ah, A Sunday regards to the Niners player, not Dante is going to join us at 11 55 and then Paul G. Paul Gutierrez, one of her favorites. Is going to join us and talk about the Raiders, who are now five in three and right in the thick of the playoff race after barely hanging on To a beat the charges. He's going to join us at 12 30, by the way, that angle that they had in that last one. You couldn't see it except for one of the angles because I thought right when, when the catch was made in the corner there, I thought always got it. And then they finally showed that one angle where clearly the bull is out of the balls on that sound. Yeah. Didn't Mike Williams on the catch he made about 15 16 seconds to go. Did he not go out of bounds there? That's locked. Should've stopped. Yeah, That's the point that I then then the Chargers would have four shots at it. The one official had to confirm the catch, which he did. But then the other official who was behind Mike Williams in the radar defender Hey, just he kept the clock winding. And I never saw Anthony Land. Gripe about that. I'm gonna text might just to get him on that because I thought and it's a great win for the Raiders. It's throwing the way they held on there. I don't know why Anthony Lin went to Tyrod Taylor on the two point conversion. What do you do on there? It's not like this guy's not a runner, and he's a tremendous passer and bring Tai right in and chase him Hill him there. There was crazy. Well, he got Herbert got hurt on the previous play. Really did. Yeah. Herbert got hit and had to be taken off the touchdown pass. When you get to the back of this flat, they could have called a timeout. And I should've, But yeah, that's what they would have to do this. He got hurt. On the play was a big play to do that. I mean it. I'm going back to the Mike Williams catch What? He caught it on the five yard line. And there's about 16 seconds on the clock. I don't know why that they didn't stop the clock on that play. Yeah. Yeah, That was a weird one. All right, so we'll get into that with Paul G at about 12 30. We got about 20 minutes. So the Niners didn't play on Sunday. But at what happened, and I got a question for United fans. I don't ask you to pop. We'll do it next. Thanks for joining us on a Monday only here in the sports later. You know, you can listen to Papa and London. Your Google home. Smart speaker. Just say play KNBR. Well, that was a wild weekend and New Orleans is piling it on and the same, pleaded 37, especially after the Seahawks and Cardinals both lost final score in Buffalo, 44 to 34 as the Niners prep for New Orleans. Now is the time we all show what it means to be faithful. This morning, Papa and London joined by the only refuge ever liked Mikey Roll books. Mike Pereira at 10 55. And this afternoon at 3 30, We honor the life of Alex Trebek with three time jeopardy, champ, the athletics Andy bag early, do or don't name this play in which the quarterback runs the ball and Khun choose to pitch it to another back. In option play.

"And look he realize if you're going to tank Like You realize how many teams are below the Niners right now? I mean, you're not getting to the point where you're going to get Trevor Laurence. That's not going to happen. I mean, the cowboy's exist right. Three cowboys just a jet exist. A giant blur exists chance of winning people than getting the first pick of the NFC East exist. I mean, it all exists. It's all there for you. They're not that bad again. You're not going to introduce that type. You wouldn't even introduce that type of thinking this year because I get as I said, this year is it's a pit stop. Is really what it is, and the next year I would suspect they're going to be one of the best teams in the NFL again. And they'll make a run at it again. So it's not like you've got to the pinnacle, and, uh oh, we're kind of starting to go down the other side of the mountain. No, not not at all. They're not even I don't even think they're close to the top of the mountain. But again, they took a detour because of injuries, and it's tough to get back after you lose a Super Bowl for whatever reason. But this is a one year thing in my mind. And if it's gonna happen, Hell, let it happen this year. No fans, all kinds of crazy stuff happening. Let it happen this year and then re group Get healthy. Get back to it. That doesn't mean you're going to be healthy next year. Me could never guarantee health in any sport, let alone the NFL, but I did. That's the way I look at it. I just look at a team that's like okay. Great year last year building something Detour and then right back on the freeway and trying to get back to the Super Bowl, which is it is a one year pitched up in my mind. It is. There are no long term ramifications. From this year in my mind for this team, it's organization organization moving forward, Even if they're not going to go with Jimmy going forward, you know, I think that not because of their contracts, but just because of where the roster is and where the rebuild is. And if they did, if, for whatever reason, they decided that that Jimmy wasn't going to be the guy. I think they're going to go. One of those veteran guys. I think they're going to go with either Matt Ryan at 35. Or try to get Aaron Rodgers here or Stafford or trade for a young veteran like a darnold. I don't think they're necessarily going to go into the draft and round one and And try to draft somebody and start that, you know. Start that whole thing going. I maybe I'm wrong. But my reading one of those veterans and draft a quarterback and around three or four why you do that. And and you mentioned Ryan 35. Hell, guys. We're playing to the like 42 43 nowadays and Russell Wilson said he wants play a 45. Yeah, the quarterback position isn't is tough on the body as it once was, And I'm not saying it's easy, but you listen to Steve Young. He's like, Oh, my gosh. Watching what you could do out there you could play forever is a quarterback, So I mean, I'm not the biggest Matt Ryan guy at all. But he did have a great year when the MVP with Kyle Shanahan is his offensive coordinator. Oh, or Matt Stafford. I like staffer, too. So I think that might be if they decide that's the better option. I'm not sure they will. But if they d'oh I wouldn't be a bad option. Larry, get one of those guys think quarterback in the third or fourth round. I wonder how many Niner fans gonna watch tonight's Tampa Giants game, going one after nine or should have really, really, really got this? Tom Brady fellow Would he have made a difference this year? Even with all the injuries, especially the one significantly to Nick Bosa said that just to get that answer from you, Tom, But you know, people are still asking, and they are going to ask that question. Now their owner, Mark Davis, says 2020 might not include any football at all. Here's NFL nation, ESPN reporter Paul Gutierrez the way Mark Davis tells me there's three scenarios for the league right now, when it comes to the Corona virus and what's going on. Have either continue with what's going on right now and see what happens with the team's showing up for training camp of the next week. They could either delay the season 2 November play a 12 game season, which would mean getting rid of foreigner conference games or the cancel the whole thing together on SportsCenter. Gutierrez says Davis is leaning toward games without fans. The main topic that he kept trying to get across to me was this quote recent that no fan is more important than any other fan. Beyond that, he's not even sure it is safe to play football at all right now. In our nation's capital. President Trump is bringing back Corona virus briefings from the White House. "A lack of proper footwear the combination not a good one for writers wide receiver Antonio brown sources confirming Wednesday it's extreme frost bite that he's dealing with on his feet ESPN raiders reporter Paul Gutierrez things social media is really blow this one up yeah I tell you what's interesting is that I think they they do well I know that they knew from the start that this was a frost bite situation on his feet they were just going to kind of keep it in house a little bit they kept saying that they were there was no real issue here is can be a little bit time he'd come back and they would say that now for over a week in the fact that he's not here and that he's kind of gone under under radio silence that's turned from concern to concerning for the raiders because this is a guy that they invested a lot of money a lot of time this off season and and other raiders as our own self Allen Tonio said earlier they like to just hear from Antonio brown to find out exactly what he's doing because on the record and officially all Jon Gruden would say is that that he's out gathering information on this injury right now so yeah you see those pictures are pretty gruesome and you have to wonder also is there a risk of infection because when the foot is open like that you're an NFL locker room there's a lot of viruses and nasty things they can get in there I think anybody that played any sport can remember having like a big foul blister on a foot or something like that okay it goes away in time but I mean the both the bottoms of the man's feet are basically gone there's no timetable from the right perspective just I I I'm not asking you to know because how could you know how long it takes amid skin to grow back on his feet I just wonder how concerning it is from the raiders perspective that they just don't have a clue how long it could be well that's the concern and that's where the frustration is starting the way and now too because if he was here and he was running some rousing was doing some things and and obviously it wasn't getting better so if he's going on the radio silence now they just want to know where are you what's going on please let us know what's happening but yet at the same time that's this is what the raider signed up for when you go on a choir somebody who's on his own schedule like Antonio brown and and it's funny it's not really funny but we're ten practices in and all Antonio brown has been able to do is do a a light walk through and then he was limited in one practice and left early to go play with his kids and then took off and yet in that press this he was blown by the raiders cornerback so I don't know if that's a testament to his greatness or its concern for the writer DVDs that a guy with no skin on the bottom of his feet was still able to do what he was doing on that one day and for not having skin on the bottom of his feet ESPN analyst Ryan Clark says follow directions warcry always like the new phase right the way that you can do it and do it much quicker if you go there they'll tell you can have on anything with it because you have or something where you can get across by they put things on your extremities are you supposed to have something or your hands in your feet how it's only brown Hey gets frostbite any shows the bottom of his feet on Instagram so I'm suspecting that he got on the bottom of his feet I'm actually not sure what it does make me do I feel a lot better about it right I feel a lot better about what he's dealing with that this isn't something that structural it's not like he has a he has a chair or there is a of a slight fracture in the bone and if you watched hard knocks last night you seemed a little bit of practice that he did get to do it's one of two things there's no one on the Oakland Raiders that can actually cover people or Antonio brown and Derek Carr are about to go crazy see when brown is back to his normal self sports are all night ESPN radio also interesting to see when or if the Packers quarterback in coach will be on the same page about the floor is the one who decides to have joined practices he likes joint practices Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers not a fan of them the guys PTI so what do you make of Rogers public criticism of the practice habit that is young in experience brand new head coach chose to use so it felt a little bit to me of like lebron James and David Blatt the felt a little bit like wait a second who are you who exactly are you the guy from the Canadiens are you the guy from friends look for which which guy are you to come in here and do this I love we had very land on yes I thought it was great and Rogers is exactly the same thing they're unafraid they're talented they will speak their mind what to do this publicly this feels to me like Aaron Rodgers is going from bush to bush marking territory hasn't done it no not really feels like Aaron Rodgers is just a really smart guy was fed up because on one hand here's the NFL talking about protect protect protect safety safety safety and then they do this stupid thing was like Oklahoma Jules fifties not ever yes this **** that's there yeah that's right and if the other drivers in the Houston got a grassy got hurt in Rogers this is Dominique NFLPA ought to get involved you know what back to god by itself almost never disagree with Erin when I don't see intellectual property Rogers a sim card then most of these dopes and I will give them credit for this I know it looks bad I know of flies in the face of his new coach I know it looks like he's wanting to forty yes okay so the NFLPA not get involved you disagree with their you know where I am from an attack but you know what he did what he called the police on his well when you mention the NFLPA and the contract was way back in that was rap okay that is right Mike this is called the police and he doesn't publicly does it out loud because Aaron Rodgers saying we'll see we'll see here I agree with it get rid of it I agree but the lead the league should step in and tell the remaining coaches however many there are get rid of this this is a reply to this is a real store it is a real more general night ESPN radio golf Tiger Woods will be playing in front of nobody for a while Thursday morning spectators at the northern trust will be he kept out until ten AM They worked on getting the deal done. And so now as you move forward knowing this is your leader, knowing this is your guy have been lent levian Bill walked to the New York Jets traded Antonio Brown for piece of paper and a hamburger, you know, now that this has been Rothlisberger team about wrath burgers team. And he has to produce with the guys that are into building with juju Smith Schuster's with James Washington with James Connors. Those guys have pressure on them now to go out and win the AFC north with the most pressure is on Ben Rothlisberger set. Ryan veteran addressed it. And then obvious. They will have mandatory minicamp will have all that. But training camp will roll around you reference might Tomlin does he have an obligation to sort of address the drama that was two thousand eighteen give a message and try to get this team on the right track? In july. Address that drama with his team now with the public, not with the media now with anybody outside of that locker room. He asked to talk about where the two thousand nineteen Pittsburgh Steelers are what type of team that they want to be and names, like Antonio Brown names, like levian Bill. They don't need to be brought up when you're addressing what she wants to be going forward. All right, Ryan Clark will. Daytime and I love doing this. I love doing this interview in this short when. Everybody. All right. You so you saw it here. I wouldn't go to say thing, but fair enough. So you don't the point and puts program. Ryan, the Oakland Raiders were among the teams this offseason, they now have an opportunity to see the fruits of their labor come to. During the aforementioned Antonio Brown spent time since with the raiders working out with quarterback Derek Carr. Paul Gutierrez is there the drama in Pittsburgh between AB and the quarterback any Antonio Brown sightings in Oakland. Paul. Tell you what I'm not sure what anybody would have expected it to not be any drama of Antonio Brown. He is not here. And but again, we gotta keep this in its current perspective. These are voluntary. I'm sure Jon Gruden Derek Carr would have loved to have had them. Here fact is he has been here throughout the entire offseason training program source tells me that he had been he left after the beginning of working out last week to go back to Pittsburgh for a court case and has not returned since so Jon Gruden speaks about after practice day. I'm sure he'll shed a little bit more light on it or at least as much as he wants to all right, Paul. Thank you. It will be busy season for you. There's no question about that. Believe it or not today is exactly one hundred seven days since the patriots wants to bowl fifty three. One hundred seven days until the regular season kicks off with the Packers and the bears. And I think what I'm saying is the off-season is at the halfway point yesterday. Get it one hundred seventy one hundred seven on the other. Listen gonna take some if you will last half full glass half empty, everybody's hopeful. Right now, we got some teams here we got some milk, literally don't spill the milk, and we're going to figure out if it's half full half empty did news is on sale, the cafeterias..

"Like some funny flag ihollywood world. But you're like, you're awesome. You're on lebatardshow all the time. How did you start? You have kind of an unconventional path towards this silly profession. Nice hot takes right? I was a business journalist for a long time as an investigator reporter fortune then Bloomberg and I've been at ESPN since it was after the Seahawks won their Super Bowl, which is how I characterized my life or categorize rather. So it was I think it was like twenty fourteen. So it's been five years now. Ever had the chance to go to really were. There was their New York where it was like it snowed. The whole week before skies opened that Sunday was beautiful. And then it snowed. The next day. I came up a lot at after this last Super Bowl, which I was covering because people were saying well that was a pretty bad SuperBowl. But it wasn't as bad as forty eight. And I was like, what are you guys talking about people, forty eight was awesome. I don't know what you're complaining. I wasn't amazing. Suitable Georgia this show right now. Paul Gutierrez is here from ESPN. Appreciate you taking the time. Ben lines meet a times hanging out on on a Friday. How are you Paul? I'm doing well, don't forget, you know, as far as raider nations concern Super Bowl eighteen was phenomenal. Gene and Super Bowl eleven. Well, I don't know if you guys are around for those. But, but I kind of remember before our time there Paul, but you've mentioned the raiders, and this story that mean, it just it brings such a smile to her face every time she hears the part of the story where it says because they didn't know who to trust what happened in the draft room. What's going on with Gruden who's he trust in up there? You know? Here's the thing. I look at this as much to do about nothing. These types of things happen all the time when they send the scouts out. Now when you look at the raiders situation specifically anything Jon Gruden does is going to be newsworthy. And you're gonna want to know what you had for lunch. You know, we could be a little more graphic there. But but you know, that that's what I'm talking about. When it comes to Groote anything. He does you wanna know why? And how when Mike may was hired. He basically, you know, you know, that a lot of these scouts are not gonna come back anyways. When when Mark Davis fired Reggie McKenzie. During the season, he said, he did it at that point because they were starting the draft process, then so you know, that these guys. These guys aren't coming back. Anyway, you know, may all talk last week a little bit about how he and John really wanted to do dry runs. They wanted to to get in their draft their draft room there were room so to speak, and and have people call and opera trade, and you see how they were gonna react. So for this to happen right here and right now. No big deal. And all yeah. It's a holiday weekend as well. So happy Easter to the scouts get to go home and stay with their family. The raiders have three picks believe in the first round off the top of my head. What do you think are the chances that they do something crazy? Or big because the assumption is they're going to take a pass rusher. Number four, Josh Allen, Montas wet, and then maybe, you know, flush out the rest of their defense, which is full of holes. Josh Jacobs running bag because exciting but forget all of that. What are the chances? They make a play for one of the quarterbacks. Yeah. I was going to tell you to define crazy. But that right there to me would be crazy. I guess if it goes at the top three like like, we all expected we Carla Murray going one going through to the Niners, and you know, right there at three I think is the key. Because if Quinton if the jets take Josh Allen, I think the raiders are ecstatic. They're they're thrill. The it's wonderful. They quitting Williams..

Lamarcus Joyner will join the raiders. So we'll have the the latest for you on that. I choose your fate at eight coming up here in just about fifteen minutes. You can still run to the the Twitter feed and vote on whatever you would like to hear. This thing for the warriors. Last night was rather odd wasn't it? You go into the game thinking, okay, they defeated the Denver Nuggets the other night. Everything's back on track. Whole-home sons in town wrap up the homestand piece of cake. And we end up talking about. Fan noise in the stands and lip reading this is where we ended up with the warriors. And that's where you end up when your team is a traveling roadshow. We were actually sitting around here earlier here at the station talking about how different the warriors are than they were five years ago. It is amazing. I mean, just listening to them talk watching them walk watch the way they dress watched the way they move everything about these guys is totally different than it was five years ago. That's what success does. And I don't mean that like fundamentally they've changed as people. I don't know these guys, you know, all that. Well, personally, met some of them talk to them briefly. But curry and Klay, and I mean, they look and act fundamentally the same that the same people. They always work. You know rooted in family. But by the same token, I mean the drama. That sits on every word and every shot and everything that happens is so deep now. And that's why I feel like the one thing that has changed. I've mentioned this a couple of times is what angers them like what gets under their skin. It used to be a loss. And now, it's what other people say that's the biggest difference that I can find in the warriors of the last five years they used to be angered by a loss. Now, they're angered by what other people say, and I know which one feels healthier and better. But also understand it at a certain point just gets too loud and too noisy. And the stardom is too high in the fishbowl is too small and all of those things, but you gotta give credit to a guy like Steve Kerr because he always adds a little levity to the situations that seem on the face stressful. So last night. As things were falling apart. They're in the fourth quarter. And I think was that Mike Brown that he was talking to. I think it was Mike Brown that Kerr was talking to an up close cameras caught a sentence where he says to Mike Brown. I'm so bleeping tired of Draymond. And so, of course, the media asked him about it today after what was kind of short and brief little practice session. Here's what he had to say. Trayvon.

"Now, again, they still have a lot of work to do. But I think that they believe this is a major step in the right way. Paul Gutierrez NFL raiders reporter for nation on ESPN. He was on ESPN radio late last night. He talked about how Jon Gruden in Deir Derek Carr. Both are very fine of Antonio Brown. What is Jon Gruden? He's an offensive minded coach. And he went out of his way in December talked about how much he loved Antonio Brown on the Steelers will come when the play the raiders he's the hardest working practice player. He's ever seen brought up Jerry Rice themselves every harder even than Jerry Rice Antonio Brown themselves at how much he loves Derek Carr because they buy famously at the Pro Bowl last year. So it seems again the honeymoon is always better than the actual marriage. I guess you can say, but this to me seems like a really really good thing for the raiders ball Gutierrez also on ESPN radio wise, this a win for the raiders. They didn't have to give up in their first four either sex. We still have four picks in the top thirty five this year which goes toward their rebuild and the ad a hall of fame tight receivers to give Derek Carr the weapon that he's needed for a long time here now. So it's it seems like it's it's entirely a win at this stage of the game anyway for the raiders, and and especially when you still have that draft capital early and you go forward here with a unique talent like Antonio Brown. It just it. I can't find your negative yet. Did you hear the start of that Abdala? Did you year Paul Gutierrez laugh? Response. Why is this a win for the raiders? They didn't really give up your listen. They didn't have to give up any of their first. It's funny them out little the raiders actually gave up one more from Paul Gutierrez. What this trade says about the future of the Oakland Raiders? It's the first step, and it shows the fans whether they're in Oakland or Las Vegas, and it shows this roster that they are committed to bringing in a big name. It can kind of get them over a hump and they use this draft capital. They had and plus they still have a lot of space in the salary cap to go get some free agents to show. Okay. Well, this really is the vision that Jon Gruden half. So it shows again division that he has going forward. Whether you're on board, or you're not this is exactly what he's gonna do. So that's Paul Gutierrez NFL nation reporter for the Oakland Raiders. And I it's a great deal for them. Yeah..

And you gave it some serious consideration. I'd have no problem votes at there and said, this is what I felt was important to me. This is why did you disagree with me? That's fine. But I just I hate the secrecy. And I it surprised me when I read that. Yeah. I'm with you on that. I I vote I make mine public. I wait until a couple of days before the vote is announced because the DSP and we'd like to do our own thing. Well, here's how ESPN voters when I was at Comcast. Was it the Sacramento bee? I made my public right away. And you know, whether people agree with it disagree with it. People have friends on Facebook, killing me, whatever the case may be. I mean that to me is the most bear thing if you have the power to make your vote like that you should make it open and transparent. But at the same time, I'm not gonna kill somebody that doesn't that's my choice. The same way that I don't go for certain block of players. I'm not out there campaigning against them. That's my my point of view. And then when you look at the way, the pro football hall of fame, does it very secretive, very secretive and the way that it was described to meet ten years ago. Maybe it's changed lots of backroom deals. I asked a longtime football, right? When was the first time you voted and the only way he could remember was well, that's when Theodore dot in because I didn't want to vote for him.
