"You know the most talked about storyline during the off season into camping in the week. One was the offensive line. How are they going to look? Some new pieces added or some pieces? Moved at least and bringing in Riley Reef in the off season. Um, give me an a set big picture, and then we'll go. It's kind of a little bit micro. Give me a big picture sense of how you felt about the offensive line. I thought the offensive line performed adequately, You know, I think there's room for improvement, but again in the opener, and when you're going against a guy as creative and as knowledgeable as Mike Zimmer And who can throw wrinkles out there that are pretty dramatic, not just with his with his double a gap, but other things like Brian Callahan was talking about. He put a guy in the nose and that's not a big Mike Zimmer thing. Brian Kelly handed never prepared for Mike Zimmer defense. That was an odd look. They call that odd if they have a nose tackle, even if the center is uncovered in the defensive tackles are on the guards, so a different look. And honestly, when you think about it, it makes sense because Mike Zimmer's thinking Trey Hopkins. Uh, reconstruction. I've got piers Behemoth beast. I think I'm going to test Trey Hopkins by putting him on the nose and it's different Look, and we can do some scheming around it. So it's difficult. You have to go to the grease board at the sideline. You come out and trade hawkers like Coach coach Pollock I What are we going to do? All of our rules? You know, we do. We have rules. What do we What do we do with this big beast on my nose? And what are we thinking? Here? Get the grease poured out. Okay, let's make the adjustments. And that was one of my big keys to the game. You know, One of the keys was handled the gap. Who's going to run the football more effectively. Bengals did a decent job double a gap as well as a lot of teams do. They ran the ball better than the Minnesota Vikings did. And then the all important third was adjustments during the game coaching adjustments immediately on the sideline, not waiting till halftime but immediately on a series by series basis. Who's going to be able to make the quickest and best adjustments and the Bengals hung right in there, as opposed to, you Know, boy, all the experience Mike Zimmer and everything else. They hung in there pretty darn well. And I think, uh, you know, Lou in a room Oh, as as a more experienced defensive coordinator going against Clint Kubiak, who is the first time you just call and plays as an offensive coordinator? I think Luann Romo made some adjustments and and made things tougher. Clint Kubiak. Although you know again, not everything is going to be perfect. You go zero coverage on that fourth and four and they hit you right in the butt with a 24 yard touchdown pass Those things happen. Those guys get paid to their pros. And they Kirk Cousins has seen things and feeling the same things and they made a great adjustment. And, uh, in 1 69 snaps for each of these starters, each of the starting offensive linemen took all the snaps. Rightly Reef. I haven't had a chance to ask you much about Riley Reef, but to me Just my sense is he's a lunch pail kind of guy doesn't mean a few words, but my sense is, he's a guy that you love big time. Big time. Mike Zimmer loves him, Mike Zimmer said. You know, he doesn't say anything. But when he says something, everybody listens, You know, it's kind of Yeah, Yeah, no question, and Mike Zimmer said one of my all time favorites, You know, he's got a 280 acre ranch here in northern Kentucky Zim doesn't he gave Riley Reef The code to his gate the code to his house the code to his ranch coat everywhere, So he he just trust this guy. He made him a captain up there at Minnesota and you know he didn't. He didn't want him to go. It was just a salary cap scenario, and the Bangles stepped up in the Minnesota Vikings were in cap trouble, and Riley Reef was a victim of that so It wasn't that Mike Zimmer said. You've got to move on. You can't play anymore. And during that game after the Bangle scored their second, their third touchdown to go up 21 to 7 Riley Reef, you know, going against his former team, and I'm sure he had a lot to say that the other offensive lineman there's nothing like I went against the student practice. I'm telling you, this is his best move. This is a little bit of his weakness. Here's what you have to think about those kind of things on top of, you know other other tendencies that you know, coaches might have and all that all that Intel all that information. They picked up a quarterback on the practice squad that has spent the entire training camp at the Minnesota Vikings. You know, and Riley Reef and you know they had they had some Minnesota Viking Intel Trade wings. You know, I had some Minnesota Viking intel, so it's you know, And then, of course, Minnesota felt they had a lot of Intel. Mike Zimmer knows a lot about the Bengals organization, Paul Guenther, but they hadn't been around for a while. These guys were more recently with the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings game was important to Riley Reef, because no matter what you can be quiet, you can still be prideful. And this dude is prideful in his mind, they said Move on. And he wanted to stick it to him. Believe me, he wanted a pound salt up their rear end. So when when they went up 21 7. After the extra point, he's sprinted off the field from the sideline. He ran a 10 flat 100. I mean, that was his former celebration. He beat all the skill guys. He made everybody off the field runs to the spot on the bench, sits down his bench, takes his helmet off of the big smile on his face. Didn't say anything. I mean, here's the tree crappy if he has a mouthful of it, but that right there told me wryly Reef is rolling man that adrenaline's pumping and it was. It was good to see I and and all all the offensive lineman of responded to him. Joe Mixon has Joe Burrow has He has had an impact on this football team. Fred Johnson was inactive. Isaiah Prince was active. What did you make of that decision? Roster wise. I think that Frank Pollock is saying to Fred Johnson, you got to take it. More sailors seriously, Fred. You're a big, strong guy. Long arms, you know, range and all that. But Prince might have been the most improved offensive lineman from last year this year. Based on what Frank Pollocks been teaching him, he responded to the techniques. Uh very well. He's more athletic than Fred Johnson. Not as thick and strong but more athletic. And I think that Frank Pollock at this point in time trust Prince more than each trust Fred Johnson. And it's that simple. Now it's not to say that Fred Johnson is going to be the active every week. But for week one, Prince one that spot one that eighth offensive lineman is such the third tackle, eighth offensive lineman Got about a minute. Just a final quick thought on Jackson, Carmen and the track he's on and where his arrow, is it. Is it pointing up right now? In your mind, you know? Yeah. I mean, the Bengals activated him. And, uh and then they sat somebody that they're very high on. I mean, you know, uh, just cramped on his name number 70 for the Cincinnati Bengals. I will tell you, you know, I think I'll tell you here in a second. Yeah, they deactivated DeAndre Smith, who had a great camp from East Carolina. They were very high on him. He's got position. Versatility..

"The first star Logistics Bengals radio network in 700 WLW. Thanks for hanging out with us as we dissect a Bengals win over the Vikings for funding number of coaches and players you heard from Daryl Moose Johnston as well. I'm Lance McAllister. He is Dave Lapham witness history in the Jungle. Lance, Let's pack the House for our primetime Thursday night football game. Against the Jacksonville Jaguars on September 30th will unveil our Ring of honor at halftime. Tickets can be purchased with no fees and Bengals dot com. Rule the jungle with us, Dave. One thing that really jumped out to me. They stuck with the run first half. I think it was nine carries 26 yards for Joe Mixon. Sometimes in the past, when it hasn't been working rather than they thought, maybe banging your head against the wall. Stop doing it. Do something else. They stuck with it. They carried with Joe 20 times for 101 yards in the second half. Yeah, they did. I mean, uh, as as a group, they rushed nine times for 26 yards. Joe had five for 14 yards. 2.8 yards of carries long run was five in the first half. It ended up being the Joe Burrow Show a little bit in the first half 11 for 1334 yards. He had two touchdowns. 149.2 quarterback rating. Darn near Perfect 1 58.4, I think is a perfect rating. So he was right there in the second half. It just flipped. Joe Burrow six for 99 attempts. They threw it more than ran it in the first half. And then they said, OK, we're going to run the ball in the second half job. Argos 69 for 84 Yards and quarterback rating. 96.5. Joe Mixon 16 carries 89 yards 5.6 per with a touchdown as a team 19 carries 99 yards 5.2 pretty good effort, and I think you know Minnesota came out with some wrinkles in their defensive front as well. And the Bengals were probing a little bit, and that's why in the early stages we heard Moose Johnson talked about teams where, you know, three and out getting you know there wasn't much going on. In the opener. There's a little bit of, uh, you know, gotta feel what's going on here because there they had all this time to game plan and there were wrinkles and there were a lot of things to consider, Um, you know, off offensively. The Minnesota Vikings came out with the Bengals defense as an example they they ran three wide receivers less than anybody in the National Football League last year. They come out in the package of 20 package to backs No tight ends. Three receivers Bangles hadn't seen it, So I mean, all this goes on. This is the kind of thing that goes on in the early stages of the first regular season game stuff. They certainly weren't going to show in the preseason, and they unveil all the stuff. It's like, Oh my gosh, We didn't wrap against this, so there's a little bit of an adjustment has to go on and then you fall into your rhythm a little bit as the game proceeds. Moose used the word conservative. A couple of times, I wondered. I've been asked this Did you say Since any of the offense was Was dialed back to any extent to protect Joe Joe Burrow and seeing he got rolled. The one time was. Do you think there's anything to that? They say, Let's protect you a little bit more and not throw as much or not. I think it was just a little bit. Uh, you know what's going to work? Best of what what Minnesota is trying to do. I do. I do think, though. You know, Joe. He got sacked five times and you get hit other times, and he only went back to throw it 27 times. And you know, so a sack occurred every 5.4 times. He probably got hit every four times. He dropped back to pass that can't continue, but You're looking at this, You know, Double a gap deal that Mike Zimmer is a master. And he's got Paul Gunther, who, honestly and Paul Guenther was here. He was as good as any coach. I've ever seen breaking down protections and finding weaknesses and protections. And he really helped Mike Zimmer have those great defenses here in Cincinnati. So when he came available when the falling out occurred Between Gruden and Gunther Mike Zimmer said. Don't take another job come here, and he took care of Paul Guenther and Paul Guenther's gonna help Mike Zimmer this season. I believe a lot. Here's what else I liked about Joe Mixon and Brian Callahan talked about. I thought one of the quotes of the off season was Brian Callahan, saying, I want Joe to be on the field all the time and not come off on third down. Joe Mixon had was targeted four times yesterday. He had four catches. We wound up with 33 touches Joe Mixon rushing the way he does, plus the added element of four catches out of the backfield. That's got to drive a defense crazy with that element and the other thing, Lance 33 touches 90 degrees on the field. Joe mixes in mixing is in incredible condition. I mean, they get took a blow every once in a while, P. Ryan, but very, very spotty. You know, it certainly wasn't anything to any extent. Joe Mixon was the war course literally and figuratively in every sense of the word. They did have some some issues. On third down. I think they went up three of 14 on third down. I think they missed on where they finish like one of their last 81 of their last nine on Third down. Had some issues keep clicking there. And I guess that always goes back to what you're able to take care of on 1st and 2nd out and where you leave yourself on third now. Yeah, and over time. They were over on third day, right? Yeah. So I mean that that was another situation. They really didn't move the ball very well in overtime whatsoever that defensive take away. Save the bacon and the course they came up with a huge play that 32 Yard reception by C. J. Osama. I mean, just what the doctor ordered on fourth down fourth and isco. So this game was very, very interesting. It was. It was a typical opener almost All you know is what you don't know. Expect the unexpected as they say all the little things you can come up with. From phraseology. You know all the unity of secrecy, and there's not a lot of times you see a five possession over time. There were five possessions. Bangles. Vikings Bengals Vikings Bengals to see like that's telling you the defenses are doing their gig. No doubt about it. All right. I want to talk about the kicker. The man with the Golden leg will take a time out of comeback man what an impact he's already had on the Bengals. We'll get into it. He is Dave Lapham. I'm Lance McAllister..

Brian Callahan Joe Mixon Joe Burrow Paul Gunther Dave Lapham Lance McAllister Paul Guenther Joe Daryl Moose Johnston Mike Zimmer 99 yards 27 times September 30th P. Ryan Minnesota Vikings 20 times 26 yards Cincinnati 2.8 yards 89 yards

"So the Raiders have had some first-round picks in recent years that have not been 100% successful at Cleveland Farrell was kind of a weird pick Damon Arnette last year. A first-round pick a corner. He was disappointing as a rookie. Now, I am looking forward to watching Damon Arnette next year in 2021 and, and year to, I hope he's better. But the Raiders fired their defensive coordinator off all gun for Paul guenther in December last year. And, you know, Trent Brown the right tackle. Another example of people around Derrick Cartwright Brown, the right tackle played only five games in 2020, he's actually not on the right anymore. They traded him back to New England. And Henry rugg's first-round receiver, they drafted him 12th overall in 2020 I thought he was going to have a bigger impact last year. Now we add 26 catches for touchdowns which is solid although and I will say like he he did was often a decoy vertically where they'd run and vertical and it would open up space for other people underneath. And, you know, Henry rugg's did create more opportunities for other receivers on the Raiders. But I still felt like Henry rugg's wasn't exactly the rousing success, I would have liked him to be last year and so all-in-all the Raiders right now we're at this inflection point where it's year for with Jon Gruden. I really wonder. Are they going to fire the GM? Next like the fire that events coordinator off the head coach. Jon Gruden has a ten year deal is on year for of 10. They're not going to fire the head coach and the Raiders have to take a big step forward next year in 2021 where you know, I I just dead. Man, they, they have to improve their just been so stagnant and similar for years and years and they keep drafting first-round picks and they keep not being the big success. They need to be. Now musical brought in on patreon, you can as well go to patreon.com forward slash. So musical Bruce said this, my question is about the Raiders. What happened to the brought them back to Earth in 2020? At one point, I thought they were a Super Bowl team yet it seemed to all come crashing down, how much of the blame goes on Derek Carr? How much on the head coach or the offensive and defensive order? So musical bird, thank you for writing in. There was a moment last year week 8 where the Raiders beat the Browns and it was an awesome win. And I went oh boy. Like all right, I'm all right. And let's raise the expectations for the Raiders and I.

"I don't know if i could convince myself of two things that this linebacking core is going to be able to operate gus bradley's defense and these cornerbacks are going to be able to hang in this defense and it's a different system you know it's not what paul guenther runs you know. Maybe if you're mayock you're all of a sudden looking for different guys and you're looking for different things you know. It's all these are all questions worth asking you know and so i think to me it still. It's linebacker it's cornerback. Or it's or it's offensive line but and you know. Luckily for the raiders are so bad that you know any of these seem like a good idea. So i i like the idea of jc horn. Here in a gus bradley off of that and you could take our net and make him. You're full time slot guy and Kinda kinda layer head to sleep at night and feel okay about it. I do look we have very tucker kinda sliding here. I really like tucker like. I think you could play alive. Era tucker at tackle if you wanted to. He's probably best at guard. I think we just haven't found a team with that howling. Need this point to take him off of our bore. But i like jc horn. Here if i was gonna go defense i think. That's my favorite picker for the raiders. I like it in. I think that sucker slide could be ending very soon. Ooh all right. We are onto the miami dolphins who obviously we We picked with them what to shows ago they had. They're picking up at six. We gave them jamar chess so they have at this point. You know if they hypothetically have added jomar chase along will fuller coming in this offseason than you already had monte park resume williams We can we can pretty much cross off wide receiver as a need on this board but yes so you're looking again offensive line. That is another spot you know. Kind of similar to the raiders. It's like okay. Well you have made investments air. Oh how do you feel about Austin jackson at this point as you're left tackle left tackle the future You know how do you. How do you feel about Robert hunt there. There are ways you could sort of squint and be pretty You know warm and fuzzy about this young officer line but now there are certainly spotting better here yet. Admit scurr on the off season. So you know. I think this is a good unit but again. I think that there's so much there's going to be so much effort. Put into legitimising to talk of i low and kind of making it happen from this year that i think he probably just do the same thing and and you give him a guy here. I mean i trying to think of what else you know. What else does my need. They need safety play right. They need With brian flora's could he theoretically be pounding the table for that patrick chung type player. Who can sort of arrange all the pieces. Which is why i kinda liked morag woodard from tcu. Like i thought he was a great player that could slide in nicely there but if if the value is as such in the board is set the way that it is i think it would be difficult for the to ignore someone like You know someone like that or allies ver- tucker You know kevin jenkins is still on the board Sam cosmi is still on the board. You know there's some there's some offensive line talent you know. Yeah i would And i hadn't really thought about morteza more woodard as an option. Here brian me. I liked that a lot..

"This is your boy q. Q. thank you so much for coming back and joining me here on the show any time. It's my pleasure man. it's a lot of fun. I love talking raiders. The love talking to love talking with you guys. You guys do a great job so yeah anytime. It's it's my pleasure. Oh man we got so much. Get into the raiders. And what kind of sparked my interest in bringing you back today was. I had heard your show just the last one about the maker break years for some of the upcoming players so i want to get into that but before i do want to remind everybody to hit subscribe wherever you're listening and also we are presented to you by the las vegas review journal and also by blue wire. Podcasts are. it's so cute. You talked about the maker break is there. Were some names there. That weren't surprising whatsoever. You're looking at you know abram to step up obviously farrell. Because being the pick that he was. I think you know where he fits in when you start looking over first of all gus bradley coming into the defensive scheme how much do you think that he will have an impact with these guys immediately during this whole cova era and everything that we're still dealing with i think he's going to have an immediate impact. The thing about it is a lot of people have said that have worked with him. That he's a guy that makes guys understand what they're supposed to do a lot easier. they make it. I hate using the word. Simplify because it just it just sounds well so simple but he just one of those guys that really is able to get the most out of his his players and and really. You don't have to be the best safety to play a really good safety. You don't have to be the best corner to be a top cop corner in his system is just he. He makes it so he maximize your talent. I think that's the biggest issue. That the raiders have had is. I think they have a lot of talent on defense. Even those guys that i said are in make or break years. I think they have a ton of talent. They just haven't been able to maximize in whether that was paul. Guenther being to six or the players. You know not having the many reps that they needed to because of covid or maybe a combination of both it was some kind of disconnect and i think gus bradley when he was in his interview process with jon gruden. I think one of the questions had to be. Hey how do you get the most out of john. What are you seeing him from a defensive coordinator position that makes you feel like i. Can i can maximize guys talent. He could be a player in this league. And what can you do with fail to make him take next step or more importantly. What can you do. Cory littleton who you know. The team brought in at a at a free agent and a high cost..

"Please check out our new seven at seven newscasts at seven. Am and seven pm. Get every bit of local news. You need in seven minutes from the las vegas review journal. Welcome back to the takeaways edition of the vegas nation. Podcast tidy thing here we. Cassie soto. An raiders cornerback meek robertson and we've been talking a lot about the offense about what the defense needs to do and coming into this year twenty twenty one. You're gonna see some changes obviously in defensive schemes with your new defensive coordinator gus bradley. What was it like for you to hear that. Gus bradley was coming in After knowing that paul guenther had been fired last year and then marinelli briefly came in. So just what was your. Take on gus bradley. Oh it was an opportunity for could to redeem must have before as coats. I heard great things about no formal football player. Nfl player of torino. He's from my hometown of. He was coached by own. 'cause and bradley so know having a talk with him and giving info getting some info from him you know i can see were out of his mouth. He said bulldozer mendez guys in greco to then they're going to expect a lot from so i'm you know just ready for the challenge has introduced himself to you. As you've been able to say hello meek introduce himself at all like virtually or any kind of way. I think i told you because bottle. Oh i thought 'cause milo pilot like right. When he got the job by like two days after me and had a long talk you know. He bought a survive. Read the former guy that he coached. But fo- as coach goes yesterday ma'am had alone. Long talk you know About football even about life. He wanted to know more about me. He asked me about my background. And you know. What did i grew up. You know stuff like this. But i can tell you that you know about me just talk. He was like man. He loved my energy. Even though i'm not trying he was like. I love you in a jagged sale. Now i can't. I can wait to see mail and plate so on. I think i think all you gotta start brad. If you go back to gunther system some of it was really intricate. There was a lot of different kind of Schemes covers six different formations. Different ways aligning up. And all. But i feel like gus. Bradley system is a lot more simplified. He we know he uses a lot of cover three. So when you compare the different kind of schemes. That these two different coordinators have. Do you feel like working. And gus bradley scheme is going to be a little bit easier to pick up especially when you're gonna have it looks like another offseason where you can't meet and work with each other until training camp. Oh oh i was gonna lose a great coach. You know very low pass into guy as as on well before the fall scheme i think it would be easy to talk to john even About it he said it would be less thinking. I think just going to solve the defensive a lot of thinking for a lot of guys. Also you know like i said before. We just wasn't comfortable playing each other on yet. 'cause ballots being so young before bradley's bradley's own defensive scheme the. I think it will be way easier way easier from from leisure. How do you prepare yourself now. Make having that first year under your belt knowing what an nfl playbook looks like are you. Do you feel like a little bit more prepared at. They throw whatever they throw your ready for this. Thank you say. I was inside was slot saluting it was so new but i kinda fell in love with you. Don't like our rather play inside than than i mean. Of course. I in finding outside. But i fell in love with you know been in the inside going against hundred each and every day because it is competitive and then you always run a ball and i'm a guy that loves up the ball you know so from from leisure to this year I would definitely to be step. How much have you been able to bond with some of the teammates and was there anyone that you really made a solid strong connection with on the team. It was a crazy. That's kind of hard. Because i have a great relationship with a lot of guys though. Sinaga law even derek. You were about get their call home. Heroes johnny of damon. Like i have a great relationship with all of those guys you know because i think a football guy and i always take pieces from. Its like no seaway thoughts on a try to todd of britain today to see what. What can i get better. You know so. I think that's why i have a great relationship with road guys even fossils fossil moreau on. I think i put on put on some more instagram. I just made it a town of your life. come Working with us. He said he told me that he already know some skills that he ought to know. How our approach the game and he said that. The sky's the limit for you. Keep on working. I just buying into to process. So as everybody in the raiders t now have a great relationship with a lotta guys. Tell us the truth here. Though when we spoke to david arnett you know during the season. He said that he john. Abram are like best buds. Because i think he. He mentioned that. They're like to loose screws there. Something he mentioned he said it not me. I'm paraphrasing here. What are those guys like. What is it like being in the locker room with. John abraham with damon arnett. These guys had dance battles after practice. Did you ever get in on the dance battle. I don't do this. I did not. I hate i every time. I hate the dense about before john. Johnny and damning annette. Magnus feed off the energy man. They don't come with it each and every day. And you gotta you gotta enjoy like. Because that's the kind of guy you know but i just had to you know 'cause i don't wanna be that guy to app spotlight. I love the game of football. Talk a lot not come the price even each and every day in jake so you see guys on saying thing is is like you like okay. I'm not an by myself so coming up price using do those guys. News is a blessing. I can tell that about the right place. I wanted to ask you because i've seen this on your twitter and i have to ask now apocalypse though the background on that that movie like an inspiration to you l. Get your warrior mindset. You know even when adversity come you you you can call it you know my own and my grandpa game that on named the warrior. When he was on his well. When i was younger. I was a tough tough kid. You know he. He always have that worry my sitting. You know when he was on his own his. Debbie promised that you know. I'll i'll take a family. You know why he's away you know so judicial process you have to have more warrior marcy levy you have to be a very grozny person so i think that's that's what it moves a kinda counter expires. You talked a little about your upbringing and where you're from and all of that with the video. Oh and you said that you mentioned it. Took us bradley. So how much has your background help you. Kinda just find that. Were your spirit. If you will also say also helped me a lot man because you know like all adversity. That i've been through. I've been to worse you know so when you've been to worse and and you get a little ad but adversity you know how to handle it you know so on after told them you know me me and mike biak in both is also talked about that on talking about the adversity and how to handle it. Las Vegas Raiders face 'daunting task' with COVID-19 issues ahead of game vs. Kansas City Chiefs

"Kid city chiefs at eight point favorite leg. I said we'll get to that in a second on the road against the vegas raiders on this game. Fifty six and a half. We will have. John cheering on later. I'm sure he'll be able to explain whether slightly above the market pain. i have to believe. That's all covid related to be quite honest. The raiders defense in the contact tracing protocol. We're not quite sure. If i'm going to have to get called up to play safety and let me tell you my foot speed not enough to slow down tyreek hill and open spaces really wouldn't say i mean i might try and slew coming off the line. That'd be my only shot. so listen. I the raiders offensive game plan back in week five was good. Obviously but the halftime adjustments that. Paul guenther in the raiders. Defensively really is what i think won them the game. It's really what gave the chiefs offense trouble. You really hadn't seen that from the chiefs offense before during this. Patty mahomes like run especially against the defense of that caliber. You go back to week. Five in the second half. Kansas city was successful. Only twenty one percent of their snaps. One point to carry twenty eight percent success rate through their moms is pressured. A ton the raiders. Were able to do something in that game. They hadn't been able to do most of the season which is get pressure vegas. Twenty six on the season pass rush win rate and then obviously after a few good games. Recently where the raiders have been able to apply some pressure to quarterbacks. They've surged to an average defense in pressuring the week. Five game if you look at some of these numbers. Mahomes was pressured on forty. Seven percent of total dropbacks specifically from eleven personnel. Were kansas city. Essentially lives seventy three percent of the time moms pressured on fifty seven percent of those three wide sets. I would envision off the bye with the little extra motivation of not. Just losing to the raiders but but kansas city not being really happy about gruden and the gang taken victory laps around the the stadium there drivers using using the loudspeaker thereafter the week. Five win that Andy reid is probably gonna come with a pretty good game plan here and you know past the success that andy. Reid is hat off the bye. You mentioned this. The raiders are are probably going to be without a few key defenders but You know another handful of defensive players are going to miss practice all week due to this contact tracing. It's probably isn't the offense that you wanna face short handed in in pissed off and not having practiced to four. I would think. I also believe we'll probably see a little more play action for mandatory. You know patty mahomes in the chiefs past game will probably fair little bit. Better here with play action. Especially if if the pressure starts to barrel down. I would also think that it's worth mentioning that three chiefs offensive lineman or on the cova the list it's believed to be contact tracing but we'll have to see this certainly make this game a little bit different. If if all three of those offensive lineman are out. You also expect sammy. Watkins to return in this game us a full practice participant on wednesday so he should be a full ghost that they're gonna have their their complement of weapons out there. The number in this thing is is really interesting. But i think that this tougher makes a lot of sense. I i just don't see. Kansas city's offense not bouncing back here in a major way talk. i mean. They're playing with a chip on their shoulder. Which is always dangerous to begin with. We've seen their passing offense. That was more a work in progress. Probably the nicest way to put it early on in the season and no doubt that was by design. Get on track with mahomes during for more than eight hundred yards the last two games when you look at the way. Mahomes performed against the raiders. Fifteen total touchdowns just two interceptions one of them of course coming earlier this year the chiefs loss as a double digit home favor and i think it's pretty staggering to know what costs kansas city. That game is the fact that hey look. They finished a net negative minus sixty four in terms of rushing yards. The raiders held the ball for nearly eleven minutes longer and kansas city knows that they can hit the home runs. That are widely available. If they keep mahomes operate i think. The raiders passing defenses. You mention it may trending in the right direction. There's no doubt a lot of optimism out here around the raiders especially on the defensive side of the ball. This is a different beast that they're going to try and counter and with sammy watkins back amongst others. I just don't know where the raiders consistently find a way to get off the field. I agree with that. And i get it. You have to young corners in trayvon mullin in our net and people are thinking to themselves like. Hey we're trending in the right direction. We're starting to get some pressure. Would you look you play at the browns. The total is suppressed because of weather and wind. You're at the chargers. It's likely a a lost game. If two guys can hold onto football on the back corner fate and then the broncos last week and drew lock was clearly injured after taking a hit in the second quarter but you could have been trailing at halftime in that game so listen. I think the raiders are better than we all expected. You look at who they've lost to. It's it's the bills box and patriots. All pretty good teams obviously bucks in bills being very good patriots. You know with bill tough spot. There is well off the monday night game traveling across the country. So i get the by of the raiders. I just need to see more defensively to believe it's real and so that that's kind of where i'm out on that unit. I fully expect kansas city to do some good things here. Offensively
