"Can't throw the ball if you can't block. And I think that that we're going to learn very quickly whether South Carolina can block or not. Ben Shane, the evolution of Shane beamer. This is a guy that has a very modern persona when it comes to sort of how to run a football program. I like all the stuff that he does. If you beat somebody to the winner go to the spoils, you can talk some trash on social media if you want to. You control people if you want to, you can have fun with people in the media if you want to. Does he need to evolve at all or is listening to all the noise like part of his like how he may like how he builds what he's built? Does that make that question makes sense? Yeah, no, I think that that's something that sometimes we forget with Shane is like his exes that I know his knowledge is as good as it gets, right? And I think that some of that we lose it in the sense of like, yes, there's the thing about shade wasn't a hot shot offensive coordinator when he got hired, right? He'd mostly been a special teams coordinator and in his places, but he is a guy who understands his excellent and has hired a really good people around him. I think that are that way too. And I think that also is just like one of probably the most competitive human beings you'll ever meet. We talk about it all the time and as good as sort of easygoing and as easy sort of good guy that Shane is and I don't think a lot of his public persona is an act by any stretch. I think that shade is also one of the most fiery and intense competitive people on the planet and I think a lot of times people take these sort of like, oh, he's love it on his guys. That means he's soft. It's really the polar opposite of that. And that doesn't necessarily answer what you were asking about X's and O's, but I do think that this is a team that there may be not going to scheme you to death, but I do think that there's stuff that goes beyond that of beliefs and all those other things we hear in college football all the time. That's, I think, part of the reason why South Carolina has been able to punch above its weight a little bit the last few years. Ben always a pleasure, my friend, good to talk to you, buddy. Go back to the yes, the best beat in America. Appreciate it. Appreciate you guys having me. All right, but of the state. Now, listen, I will say this. I'll say it loud and clear on the Paul fine bomb show for everyone to hear South Carolina, Shane beamer, I am sorry. I was dead wrong about your program last year. I was wrong that. And if I'm wrong again, I will stand up and I will say proudly that I am a cock a doodle doofus. If I get it wrong again, but I need to see the consistency out of the quarterback. I need to see it. I want to see the offensive line develop. And I was wrong last year. Many of us were wrong last year, and we are sorry. I'm apologizing openly. But I need to see a couple more things before we start talking about South Carolina in that Georgia Tennessee, that top tier category in the east. And yes, I know the score of the game between South Carolina and Tennessee. We're going to talk gambling. How about some gambling? What is going on in college sports? Should we be concerned or is gambling a good thing? Is legalized gambling helping this process? We're going to do that and we'll take your calls, all of that next right here. "Know. I know. Well, and if they do all the people that think this is a difficult job, it is not. Mike has broken the code. It is probably the easiest job in America. But don't tell anyone, please. You're doing a great job at it, Paul. It takes enormous skill to sit here and look down and go, Mike is next. I do have one question. One more question, if you will. The earlier guy I was just wondering, what was up with that guy? I don't remember his name from Missouri that called in boys. You didn't give him he was going to tell the story about the septic tank or something. I mean. Well, here's why I did that in Davis called for a number of years. I've been down the road with him with other things beyond a septic tank. I knew it was something I could. And I know that sounded like, man, Paul has really been cruel to this poor guy from Missouri wanting to tell his 30 year old septic tank story. Well, I knew there had to be a story behind it. That's why I asked. I never want to be like a minister or something and say, please, I want you to trust me. But Mike, I want you to trust me and I am not right about many things, trust me, and that I was right about that. I do. I absolutely do because I've heard some by the way, but if you want, we have his number. We can get him back and finish the story at any time. Oh, no, no, actually, I'm happy. If we do, I'm leaving, but you're welcome to hear the story for the next two hours. No, thank you for sparing me. I appreciate it. Hey, thank you very much. Appreciate it. Lee is in Cincinnati. Hello Lee. Hey Paul, thanks for taking my call. Thank you. I want to ask you a few months ago I called back and asked you how Florida is going to rectify the quarterback situation and we came to the general consensus that they're going to have to do it through the transfer portal. The problem is that there were a lot of good, in my opinion, talented quarterbacks who went into the transport portal and Florida didn't get any of it. They didn't upgrade their quarterback position. So I guess my question is, is this an unfortunate showing that Florida might be spiraling down? They're no longer one of the best or no longer should be considered one of the top Echelon teams in the SED that they're kind of becoming second year now. What do you think? Lee, if you base it on the last two years, that's exactly what they have been. And that was clearly the idea behind regime change and giving Billy Napier what he got and having faith in him. And there is still support. Nobody is suggesting he's going anywhere, but he has to do something now. And in relation to the quarterback position, there's no evidence that he has. And I think that's really the problem. Thanks for the call. We head to the break. We'll talk to one of our favorite people. It's been a while since we've talked to our next guest. We'll reintroduce him for those of you who don't know Kenny. And we'll be right back after this. We are officially out of time for this program. We appreciate all of you for being a part of it. "Position where they're unable to really provide any guidelines or legislate legislation with respect to NIL. Now, what they do is that with individual NIL cases that are suspect, they will provide guidance and ultimately a ruling in those cases on the back end. But in terms of actually providing guidance and governance behind NIL right now, it's not there, and there are several schools of thought there. Some members of the NCAA feel, excuse me, of Congress, feel that they want to let the process or play out in the courts. Which that could take a while, president baker was just hired at the NCAA and I know that he is certainly focused on trying to gain consensus with respect to potential guardrails that the United States government would place around. But right now, quite honestly, Paul, it's a mess. And, you know, but certainly to the benefit of student athletes as it should be, their ability to actually receiving income for their name image and likeness. Just an extraordinary conversation on a second official day as a West Coast commissioner. Stu Jackson, many thanks. I hope we can continue this another day when maybe the subjects are a little more forward thinking and not looking back on how we got to here. Be well. Congratulations on the job. Thank you. I appreciate it very much. It was our pleasure to talk to the new commissioner. And we will take a break. We'll get an update on what's happening with Notre-Dame's quarterback. "I mean, you can't even find a wooden one of the thing that he just gives you a shout out or what? Let me think about the best way to tell this, okay? I'm off. I'm stumbling here, hoping that I'll get some I'll get some counsel. Let me see if I can read any of the lyrics right before it. You got a you got a short fuse and then there's a word I can't say. I'm alive wire. I'm trying to talk to them like Paul finebaum. Oh wow. I can't say that. I can feel the beat. Okay. I can't say the next one. Just go to the song. There's nowhere to go on the song. Other than my name. Good story for you. By the way, there's a story. There's a story out there on the song on ail dot com. And you can listen to the song there if you want. And then you can understand why I didn't read the lyrics here. I was talking online yesterday and I used one of your and it kind of flipped up I said, oh yeah, this guy's in the face. She's like, what did you just try to say? What is that? Well. So I just not try and I don't even know if my YouTube arrived, but yeah. What was the word again? Nefarious. Oh, okay. How did you, how did you use nefarious? I forgot to describe my ball. Oh, that could be. That could work. He likes to BS a lot. Nefarious I mean, there's a lot of there's a lot of words to describe him. Villainous would be a good way to describe a synonym for nefarious, what else? Wicked? Black and there you go. There you go. It would not be a compliment. Well, I'm the correct one. There you go. I'm glad to hear. Thank you very much. Yeah, I would not evil sinful. I would not describe your boss as nefarious if you wanted to keep your job. My boss is not nefarious. My boss is benevolent. Wonderful. Glad we cleared this up. And is walking in here, telling me never to do the lyrics again. Of a song that I can't even tell you the name. "Has overtaken you now, huh? So he's the new cat in town, I guess now. But no, I just wanted to call in, I thought that what I had went ahead had heard previously and just wanted to congratulate kit, cat daddy. He is one of the stronger colors now. And he does get a lot of fan support and I am pulling for mister cat daddy. And mister Amiens, sir, thank you, lost it. And. There is one thing that I wish I mean would explain to all of us benefits next time he does call in. He keeps referring to us being a fan as our us beamers. And I would like a true definition of what he think bam or fan he is. I did give him a barner definition in the auburn fan that straddles the finance and pulls more for Alabama than he does auburn. But next time mister mister army and coliseum was probably will be soon and last for him to give us Alabama fans what he thinks a true bammer fan is. Thank you, Paul. Have a great afternoon. You take care of yourself. Jackson is up next in Georgia. Hello, Jackson. Good afternoon. Good afternoon. So today I'd like to talk to you more on the book about gross players and the numbers they own more like clarification on three numbers in particular 6 34 and 44 in your opinions on them. We'll help us out here. So in your mind, who would be number one for the number 44? Hank Aaron was 44, wasn't he? Yes, sir. Then he would be my choice. Thank you very much. Jason is in Kentucky. A hello Jason. Afternoon, Paul, how you doing? We're doing well. Thank you. I just got a quick hypothetical for you. I'm a huge Kentucky ducky football fan. Just really tired of seeing all these so called analysts drop in global web standard draft boards and just one last year question if you were to switch Bryce young or CJ straddle, put them on Kentucky's roster, but will wear us on Ohio states and Alabama's roster. How do you think I would turn out? I'll hang out and let you listen to you. Yeah, it's a good question. I think in Alabama's case, I think they would have lost maybe one more game with will Lubbock's maybe two. I don't think he's in Bryce young's league. I think he's very good. But I don't think he's at the highest level, which I do believe Stroud and Bryce young are. We'll take a break. Plenty of time for you to get in here at 855-242-7285. And so quick looking forward, by the way, that seems like a pretty good pastime if you ask me. Well, I enjoy it myself. So quickly I know times running out, would you do an over under with me real quick? Okay. I'm going to say GM's either older, over or under than the naima call out. Legend. He's over. Tom Cruise is 60. Over. And finally Keith Richards. Which key, 70, what? Key 78 or 9 or is he 80? Yeah, he's up there. Maybe we should have you, Willie Nelson. We're going to say Josh. Jim is younger than Keith Richard Richards, but to be in the band. I think he is old enough to be a member of The Rolling Stones. I got you. Well, I mean, we've never been able to prove that, is that right? I would say, I saw where Springsteen's on tour, he's 73. I'm going to say over that, just to help you out. We're out of time. Jim's carcass where cat daddy hung him after that we'll talk about that, I'd love to talk about that. You got you cherry pick? Obsolete. You got going on Paul. One thing about it though is whoever goes up against cat daddy better be understanding one thing. He's out for blood this year. And I tell you what, whoever makes him in the final four, he just might end up. A young man. Miss pat is up next. Hi, Paul. I'm sorry. That was funny. Now, I can't believe that Larry B squirrel. That is beyond me. Who is doing this voting? I don't know. Larry beach squirrel and what no, Larry is leadings quarrel. That will not be announced until Monday. The only Jim is the biggest story he got knocked out by cat daddy. Well, you know, that doesn't surprise me because he has not made himself very popular lightly. You know, people love people love you. And he is not very nice sometimes. I mean, a lot of the time, and so anyway, I just wanted to comment on Larry, but thank goodness he's not beating squirrel yet because I did for squirrel. I want to hope you have a nice weekend. Thank you very, very much, miss pat. Not nice. Jeff is up next. Hello, Jeff. Welcome to our show. Hey, Paul. How are you doing? We're doing great. Thank you. I'll tell you a story. I'm from Kentucky. I play basketball very well. But me and a friend of mine played two girls. From a university. Maybe the crap out of us. But anyway. Why was that? They were just better than. Women's basketball is usually more fundamentally sound than men's basketball, at least it is now. Yeah. Big Kentucky fans. You know what? We'll be back next year. Jeff, I swear. I heard that last year. Chris is up next in Los Angeles. Hey, Chris, come right ahead. Hey, why are you doing Paul? We are doing great. Good. Yeah, I was sure every day ma'am. Originally from the green wheel south Carolina. This is 1979. So anyway, everybody calling me in about Alabama and Georgia Tennessee, but I am a gamecock fan. And I'm guarantee you that this year that the game pass football team will be SEC champions. Okay, you're guaranteeing me that. I'm guaranteeing you that he had started already where you lived and explained. I mean, they got the coaches. I mean, they got the players. They started out kind of beginning the last year, but they came on strong, you know, but everybody's like, I mean, like I said, talking about Georgia and Alabama. Everybody forgetting about the gamecocks and this year, I'm guaranteeing you that they will be the FEC champions. Well, Chris, I will not forget this call on the final day of March and we will revisit this in a couple of months. Thank you very much. We head to the break. "Oh, sure, Leonard post posterior. Yes. And it was great. And then I go back to think about the wide world of sports, Jim McKay, and Kurt Gaudi. And it made it bigger than life to me. But I'll tell you this part. That old hue from north Carolina, his voice is gold. How did that guy not make an announcer? Where he should have been, I mean, Hugh from deep gap, North Carolina. He's got one of the most resident voices I've ever heard. Oh, he does, Paul, he's something else. That boy said his is just magnified. But maybe he was an opera singer in his youth. I don't know. But his voice is great. Let me ask you this. If Charles would start calling the show, could he get in on the bracket on a wild card? Oh, if Charles, if Charlotte was called today, we'd advance him to the final four right away. I wish he would, Powell, but I'll tell you this. Paul, have you ever thought about this? Jim thinks that without him, you wouldn't have a show. Well, he has said that, callous times. I know. And power you work real hard to get where you're at. I mean, went to college, broke the news by columns. And Jim did make you. You made yourself and God behind you. And I want to say this, I appreciate you for everything. That's about all I got. Thank you, buddy. Thank you very, very much. Trey is up next in Arkansas. Hey, Trey. Hey, Paul. How are you? To let you know. Next year, we're going to have a freaking trifecta of the double effects of Arkansas. And I was wanting to call in about with this, I got two things. Who's the bigger wildcard in the SEC? Arkansas Mississippi state or my two, two of the biggest and then why is Arkansas always get stuck with the hardest schedule in the SEC? There should be no reason for that middle part of the schedule. I let everybody in the SEC does not have that. You're right. I mean, Arkansas for whatever reason is in that position. Hey, we'll figure that out in a minute. We are halfway home on a variety. You were listening to the Paul fine bomb show podcast.

"Or so go straight down towards the Jim cat daddy upset. Would you call that an upset? Well, it's not over yet. But it's trending poorly for him, yes. A lot of resentment. I kind of saw it coming. I hate to say it, but if you saw the last round up against Matt, I get into like 55% 45%. So I'm trending well and I wish the gentleman well. That's about it. Just wanted to touch base I thought everybody in a while and enjoyed the shows this week. Thanks for taking my call. Hello. Thank you very much. Everybody's kind of down right now. What's going on? Cheerleader is up next. Hi, man. Hi, man. When you were talking about those common titers, the older the older generation, Keith Jackson, you couldn't bait him, Paul. He was just wonderful. And did you ever go to did he only do professional ball? I think Kurt Gotti, who was a great broadcaster for NBC. I think he did some bowl games, but primarily the professional. But he didn't do many times. Baseball and the NFL. I think he did like the orange bowl or the rose bowl or something. But that's about it. We were involved in years and years and years ago and we went out to dinner with a and his wife. Really? And yeah, I went to their house and had a cocktail, and they were just absolutely lovely. Absolutely. How did you know him? Well, my mother in law, sister and will, they were all good couple friends up there. Got it. Okay. Yeah, and he. Popped off, got to go with him to the sofa bowl one time, but it was down to New Orleans now. But that was so long ago. That was so long ago. And Paul about all these brackets. I didn't really know I was in one until. I don't know who told me. But I know I have not one that Jim and vitamin a man and somebody yelled. Well, look, listen, it's all for fun. Nobody needs a fret over their lack of success in a bracket. Handsome Joe is up next. Hey, you're absolutely correct. I got put out early last year. You know, just there's always the next year and I probably ain't gonna make it past this round. You know, I'm just, I'm just happy to be in it, following just everybody in there is all good, you know, good quality people in their own way. A couple there, maybe. Maybe. I think that is taking care of one of them right now. But today seems a little bit more upheld in duty, and that last dollar just seemed like everybody was either intoxicated, medicated or something. And everybody's kind of medal of the day. And I want to say, that's good to hear this quarter was okay. I've been thinking about him myself. And it's just good to hear as well as following he is one of the best colleges out here. You know, him and Larry both, that, to me, that's going to be that's going to be a big one right there. But we're supposed to get weather again tomorrow night. Same as last Friday night. Hail tornadoes and all that. And they're again so everybody just stay weather or whether alert they can Tennessee Mississippi, Alabama. It's because we Kentucky. I thought you were supposed to get pretty bad followed, but anyway, I just want to thank one of the dead vote for me in this bracket. And docu said it's all for an adult matter it's all for fun. That's all it did. And people had fun with it. And it's something to do. It's off season. So here's some dolphin poets that I'm just happy to make that Elaine anyway. "Last 30 minutes or so, lack of an anchor, man. That escalated quickly as they said, but my question was today. We've talked about NIL earlier in the day and it's run by collectives and kind of some of the problems that we're seeing now in college with all this money raining down on these younger guys. That used to be kind of the prose problem. And I know that they do some counseling and advising and things like that. Do you see that being part of the collective going forward is trying to mentor these guys and help them with all this money? I think so, but Johnny universities have been mentoring young people for a long time and I just think it's more complicated now because of the amount of money, but and I still don't know if you can draw a line between the money they're making and off the field issues. You're not followed sports a long time. There have always been off the field issues. And I don't think it has anything to do with money. I think it has more to do with a lot of the players have been entitled most of their careers because they're good. And when you're good at sports at a young age, people treat you differently than they would like us. Yeah, that's a great point. That and then doing away with the dorms where they could do that. That's probably the oldest argument because when, you know, back in the day, when you had to be in the dorm, you were, it wouldn't stop you from getting in trouble, but you were at least there was somebody keeping keeping eyes on you, where today it's a little bit more difficult. Hey, thank you for the call. We head to the break. A lot to do here. Actually, not that much more to do in the last 15 minutes, but we are coming right back. "And, you know, I mean, we don't want additional things. And then I'll let you go. Also, when people call you in two or three times and get through, why is it that that way it limits a lot of people that want to call it? How do you ever get in one time? My question is, maybe you should limit the calls to people getting opportunity to more people to talk to you. That's a fair point. I appreciate your suggestion. Thank you very, very much. Susie is in Georgia. Hello, Susie. Hyde Paul. I'm sorry that I'm one of those calling twice. I don't ever call twice. But I want to respond to Danny Sheridan. Yeah, what about that? Well, I didn't like that. 6 5. I think guess what it was. 6 5 for Jeff and 5 for me. Is that right? Yeah. I'm trying to remember all Danny said was these are just, he just had four people mentioned among the top favorites. He had legend Jim cat daddy and Larry. So that's all he did. Right. Well, I saw, no, I saw that he had Jeff. 6 5. No, no, no, no, no. He didn't have Jeff, that's Jim at 6.5, not Jeff. Oh, okay, well that's good because I'm leading right now. I have got my family, all of my Facebook people. They're having the best time, Paul. With this bracket today, and it's like making me laugh. They keep texting me students texting me, telling me, oh my God, you're down, but now you're up. Oh my God, you were 50 50. Now you're 51 percent. What is your seat are you, by the way? Yeah, I'm third shade with legends. Okay. Okay, so right now you have a 50, you have about a half a percent lead. Now, Susie, let me say this. This is like the old BCS, if you remember that, there's various components. This is a critical component in terms of what the public says. It's a key indicator, so but yeah, it would be very helpful that if you were ahead. So you will not be the final one. It won't be the final arbiter. We will have a, I'm not part of it, but the fellas in the back room. Well, but it's just fun because I'm getting text going. This is so much fun. I'm having so much fun, like you're checking their Twitter. Let me say this, Susie. I'm supposed to be Switzerland and all this, but I am cheering for you against Jeff. Well, thank you so much so much. And I will be going to I'm going to a, what do they call that? I'm going to a convenience store on the way home that has a public computer. I will be voting constantly to try to try to get you over the top. So you can't be traced to the show. Well, I'm going to have the nice little scraps in the rocks tonight, no matter what. My place is because this is just uplifted. Me and my family, they just take it. I'm so happy about that. And listen, we are supposed to be neutral. But nobody on this program wants to see Jeff win. And that's off the record, of course. Right, but even AJ. Yeah. Put on the thread. Yeah, I mean, Jeff shouldn't, Jeff should not even be in the field if you want to know the idea. But it was funny. Yeah, 'cause one of my daughters quote from another mother posted, she said, who's AJ? And I said, why? She goes because he just posted on the thread. So I went and looked and he goes Suzy, Suzy, Suzy. No, but he likes that. You hang on. Listen, you feel good about where you are. And we'll do the rest, if you know what I mean. We'll talk to daily in a couple of minutes so it's check in with Matt right now in San Antonio. Can you tell me? I'll tell you what, what's that? Who's my next victim I could be like a Cherokee drum. We'll get to the yeah, we will reveal the pairings to Mars. So you're facing Jim in the first round. I guess you know that. Oh, that poor baby Jim will find that home prisoners fried on each pedal. They start to change 43 times the loser. Can a man have to take me on, I'm going to call this show. I'm just right by next victim there. Number freaking boogeyman Paul and this little song for you between me and Jim and the next guy. One question is you'll probably be up against chaplain Mack if you win. What was the question, Matt? How would you say to the vein as basketball said, yeah, we played like crap, but I'm proud to wear this this year. We haven't been back in 5 years, Paul. What's your thought from that? Yeah, it was a bad ending. There's no getting around that. Matt will go out of time for this hour cocio. We'll join us in the next hour as long as well as John Daly a busy busy hour coming up. Don't go anywhere. Thank you for listening to the Paul fine bomb show podcast. The Paul fine bomb show airs weekdays on the SEC network beginning at three eastern.

"Okay, well, that's what I was curious about, because I know Texas, you know, historically known to have a great baseball program. Oh, sure. That will definitely be addition to the SEC. So good talking to you and I'm gonna call you to outlaw Paul fine bob. Well, thank you very, very much. Let me go over there. We have the information. It was approved today by the president's and Chancellor's baseball. Each season, a team will play a three game series against two permanent opponents in 8 rotating for a total of 30 conference games. It will be a single division, the SEC baseball tournament is still being worked out. We have a little bit of time before that happens. Gymnastics. Everybody will meet everyone else once a year, alternating home and away. The gymnastics championship will move from a one day event to a two day format. Swimming and diving, the regular season, you'll have two dual meets per program. Indoor track, similar and volleyball is the format is to be determined. So in volleyball, a conference tournament will be conducted for the first time since O 5. So there's a lot of news, the big question remains football and the commissioner told us on Friday in Nashville. That the expectation is that that schedule will be finalized in or around the SEC spring meetings, which began Memorial Day weekend and we are planning on being there to have all of that for you. We're still about 40 minutes away from live coverage of Chris beard's introduction. I know some of you are saying, well, what's the big deal? Well, it is a big deal. There's a lot of conversation and news connected to this higher and there it is. Live shot. From Oxford, Mississippi. That's what it's going to look like. The secret to crushing

"We're talking about Devin Leary who starting the most recent season was considered he was at NC state. He was considered one of the better quarterbacks in the country and then he got hurt and the whole season came undone. So I think with Cohen, he's got a chance to be at that level. I mean, we'll leverage right now he's considered one of the best prospect. The schedule is really complimentary. I don't think you could it's quite frankly when you look at ball state eastern Kentucky in Akron. I mean, that's one of the most inauspicious beginnings I've ever seen at Vanderbilt is your first real test and then Florida, Georgia. I mean, Kentucky's got a chance to get really a really fast start. You know, they do have Alabama. In November, that is a really intriguing game. It comes in a bad time for Alabama. Not a great time for Kentucky either after Tennessee and Mississippi but it's a really, I don't like the beginning of that schedule because it's just hard to maintain a lot of momentum. However, I do think it does set up well for a new quarterback making his first trip around the SEC. Ryan is up next in Illinois. Hey Ryan, hey, Paul, first time caller. I just had a few questions about Alabama basketball. Sure. I just wondering for the semifinals that Alabama's going to probably be up against Tennessee. I was wondering, do you think they have to be Tennessee to get in the tournament? Well, I think what Alabama is facing this week more than anything is the number one seat overall. I don't think they can get that right now. I think that may have slipped away the other day, but you win three games here and somebody else Houston, UCLA, you see, you know, who knows what's going to happen during conference tournaments, but I think Alabama is pretty well guaranteed a number one seed. They'll play next week and Thursday and Saturday in Birmingham, which is a tremendous advantage for them. Darren is up next in Missouri, hello, Darren. My question is, I'm Missouri. Do you think they are going to get hurt from the double by? Or that's going to help them, which is a streaky. You know, you don't know who's going to show up. It's a good question. But I think when you're Missouri, not to extoll any more preys on getting escapes and he's already gotten, but he deserves it all. I mean, that's such an amazing accomplishment when you consider how chaotic this program has been in recent years. Thank you very much for the call. Mark is up next in Tuscaloosa, hey mark. Hey, Paul, how you doing today? We're doing great. Thank you. Hey, you remember, since you're a Nashville, you remember country boy Eddie used to do a little something like this here and call. Oh, sure. Yeah, no, I remember any well. Well, hey, I wonder if you don't mind, I want to do a little trip to the woman that died and took to lose and to, you know, you're right there in Nashville and country music and this won't take just a second and I think it'll mean a lot to the people of your show. That's okay. Give it a shot. Okay, thank you, sir. No, that was memorable. Dan is up next. Hey Dan, go right ahead. Thanks, bob. Don't even know what this possible you can even go there, but I think Brian Kelly has got into Nick Saban's head. I really do. You know, I didn't. I think it started with when he was out. Coach. In the last ball game without you and Alabama. And it goes to the other coaches, you know? They replaced their coaches. That's hard for me to, I mean, I appreciate your sentiments. We've been hit three hours another hour to go. We are live in Nashville. Thank you for listening to the Paul fine bomb show podcast. "Lawyer books up and everybody puts your detective books up and let this man have the next two hours of fun. That's what this show is about. It's about fun. And that's how I really got to say today, Paul. Well, thank you very much. I would appreciate it. We were. Snake is up next to hello snake. Hey, Paul. That's the best college AJ everybody dress there, but I just wanted to kind of mirror up an earlier call that was a William from Tennessee. Well, thank you. That is correct. Yeah. Paula, I've been watching you on 12 days and reading your articles and listening to you for over 30 years. That mark from Alabama that was the most disrespectful question of I've ever heard anybody ever ask you on your show and I wish that it would hate to be like a gym called maines. I wish these idiots would quit calling in and with facts that aren't facts and I mean, it makes me want to pull my hair out, damn it, Paul. Well, snake, thank you for saying that. It was a disgraceful call. And a lot of people have said to me, why don't you be more outraged? And to me, it really didn't dignify. It was so it was in such poor taste about it. It was so disrespectful. About a woman who has lost her life that I just didn't. Oh my God. I didn't think I would dignify it by even raising mine or anybody else's blood pressure. Snake, thank you very much for calling. We appreciate it. Lee is up next in Cincinnati. Hello Lee. Paul, thanks for taking my call. Thank you. And I wanted to, I need your opinion. I need help be talked off the list because, you know, 17 years ago, seeing the national championship was a football ambassador for the Gators. But since that time, they become both football program and the basketball program have become two of the biggest pieces of trash on the compost pilot. And so what I want to ask you is, do you see either program ever making it back national prominence and if so, which one will be first and how long is it going to take? Yeah, Lee, I think the basketball program does have a chance ultimately to make its way back. Obviously, it's best player is hurt and this season is not going anywhere. But I think the football question is impossible to answer. And the negativity about Napier's program continues to rise. We've talked about it and I think it's going to take longer than we thought, but at some point how much patience will the gator nation have. We're up against a break. We still have a couple hours to go. We were coming right back. Thank you for listening to the Paul fine bomb show podcast. "And we're back. I appreciate you being here. Pat is in Georgia. Helipad. Welcome. Hey, Paul. Thanks. Bobo is back. And I think he's better than ever. I was glad that Bobo got a promoted off of Mark Rick Rick's OC position. But he's back with Kirby smart and I don't think we're going to miss a beat and I'm glad he's back. That's not why I called. I mean, listening often on this week to your show while we're getting over COVID here and augie and you touched on it, let's assume that and rightly so that Alabama has not put its best foot forward. So my question is, okay, what can they do now to deal with it? What's the next thing they can do that is right and correct and can get rid of this saga as you describe it and I'm not sure that there is anything that they can do. I really don't think there is and once the AD put his foot in the water the other day or wherever he put his foot, I think they were stuck. Because I think at this point it would look very heavy handed to coming here and use some phony baloney reason to suspend him now when they clearly have absolved him of everything that has gone on. Andre is up next. Hello, Andre. The one and only coach Paul fine ball. How are you? Coach, I'm good. This is a bad look. This is a bad look for the conference. This is a bad look for the university of Alabama. This is just a bad look for human decency. Listen, kick this fool off the team. Anybody tells you to bring a gun to a situation, 99.9% of the time, it's not gonna help a good outcome. You got a young lady that lost her life here because of some of these foolishness. You know, when I was a child, you might have had a fish bite a few kids locked up. An hour later they were playing. This is a different animal now. They should have kicked them off the team. And if the coach warned him to play, they should have fired the coach. But this looked bad for Alabama. It looks like winning trumps all. And, you know, man, they should have just even if they're just to spend it to the guy and to this thing was sorted out, then you could have reinstated him. But now, you know, like you said, it's looks like they're just folding to the wind of the crowd. When they should have done the right thing at first, seeing they could have always went back and so you know what, we shorted it out, the guy wasn't involved. But hell, if he bought the gun, that therefore the guy to use, he should have been kicked off the team, period. No questions asked. But as always, coach fine by my enjoy your show. Look, let me ask you one question. What do you think? You think Florida state trying to get in the SEC now coach or use your Florida state does one in the SEC and they realized that where they are free. By the way, allow me to be a mind Florida state that in 1990, they could have been in the SEC, but Bobby bowden didn't want to play that type of schedule. He didn't want, but you know, coach, they say money is no talking screen. Yeah, you're right. Andre, I think we were losing you at the end, but thank you, Trey is up next. Hey, Paul. I hope you have a good weekend and I will tell Jim, I hope he gets to feeling better. I agree with August. He didn't sound very well yesterday. But Paul, are there any other witnesses to this situation besides the Alabama players and the young lady and the guy that did the shooting? I mean, I'm assuming it's that particular, you're right by a bunch of bars. I'm pretty sure there are cameras everywhere. And I guess another thing I would like to ask you, nobody's brought it up. Am I to understand that Brandon Miller had some bullet holes in his car and if they weren't did those come from miles just gone or did they come from another gun or I'm just kind of confused on all of that? I'm assuming they were coming from the other the other individual involved where the altercation began. Thanks for the call. William is up next in Tennessee. Hello, William. Hey, Paul. Did I hear mark from Alabama with 2° correctly when he questioned why miss Harris was out that night? You did hear him correctly. Well, you know, Paul, you've known me a long time. I don't get outraged at many things, but merely making that statement and questioning why a 23 year old young lady was out in Tuscaloosa, whether what cousin and boyfriend on a Saturday night is as inappropriate as anything as I've ever heard and Mark should be ashamed of himself. And if that's what he learned with these 2°, then he didn't learn much. And I never called anybody else, I don't think I'm going to show, but that is just outrageous. Now, the question should be, why did Brandon bring the gun? But let me run something else by you, Paul. Alabama university is a big organization. They have to have they should have plans in place for dealing with situations like this. I would be disappointed in their management if Greg burn, Nate Oates, their general counsel or someone from their general counsel's office, someone from their police department. If they weren't in a meeting or at least on a Zoom call, you know, 7 o'clock that Sunday morning to figure out what to do with this. And that's what everyone understand, they had to have had some sort of a crisis management meeting. I prominent team and you're at home, so it's not like you played at home the day before. And remember, at this moment in time, you have a basketball player involved in a capital murder. Exactly. Now we want to say miles is a former he was a player on the team. He was a player. So if. Nate Oates found out about that at four 47 a.m., Greg Byrne would have been called it four 48. Exactly. And there should have been a meeting convened at 5 a.m. or as soon as they could get everybody there to figure out what they knew, what they needed to know. I mean, their campus police are head of safety and security should have been there. Their general counsel's office should have been there. There should have been an all hands on deck meeting to determine because they had a murder right off of campus involving a student athlete.
