"Go to what they do in good people. So I wanted to say that it just, again, say, how special was having my son there, having you guys there, having my man Stephen a there. You know, Steven a smith, a matter of fact, Stephen came over. We're going to get him on, people. Send your comments to you. How much would you like to see us do a show with Stephen a because he first thing he said to me? Well, I have to say alone, give me a hug because I love my love his family. His sister, I love his system more than him. But I mean, I love him. I love him too. But his sister talks a little less, a little less, and but great person like him. He really does. He comes from a great family. Any good people, I don't know, usually they come from good stock, you know? They might have come from rough places, but they come from good stock. And it was that good stock that overcame where they came from. That allowed them to overcome wherever they had to overcome to get to where they get to. But anyway, he says to me, you have to, after we have a few minutes, he says, teddy. You got to give me on your podcast. I said, yeah, he goes, I love it. So it was nice to hear that, again, we always say there's a lot of people out there watch our show in the industry. And we know that. We know that from personal experience and people telling us in other ways too. But it's nice to hear someone like Stephen a Smith who's so successful. And it was just, it's not because it's successful. His successful at being a human being. And that's a success. You got to work at that baby. You got to work at that. That's something that matters. That's something that should be talked about sometimes. People that is successful at being a good human being. But anyway, he wants to come on his show. He said, yeah, we'll try to fit you in, Steven. We'll figure it out. We'll try to try to get you in there. So and he's going to be again speaking to the kind of person he is. He flying in from Kansas City on Thursday night. A dirty afternoon, Thursday, morning. I think it's cancer city, wherever. He's probably doing NBA stuff. They got him all over the place. And he says, I'm going to try to be there. I'm going to fly in. I'm going to, I'm going to try to be there. He usually is there. And there's going to be so many Dustin, you, rob. I appreciate you guys coming. Are you back home? Yes. So you flew back home, see, I got to say this. You flew back home to Tennessee and yet you're flying back in Thursday to be with your family and then fly back for the dinner. So for me. Yeah, but that's friendship. That's character. That's loyalty. That's all. That's the reason those are the people I want to be around. That success, that success, right there, to me. And that gives and that gives me success. To have those kind of people around same thing for rob and you guys are taking a table the whole thing. I just wanted to say that. And I want to say it in a form like this. I want to say it. So anyway, take it from there, kid. I just wanted to say about the event. It was excellent to be with you in the ESPN broadcast booth. I had the best time I was actually I'm pissed. I didn't send the text earlier, but I'll tell you now. I wanted to tell you, tell teddy junior, it was great hanging out. It was the most time I've ever spent with him one on one. We watched the fights together. We were both like two little kids jumping around when Dustin won. It was just so much fun to be with someone who's like shares a passion for the sport and of course you were head down tweeting up a storm so we didn't get much FaceTime, but it was fun. Loved me and Stephen a Smith. As soon as I walked in before you got there, Anthony Smith comes running over recognized me. It was so, I'm always so shocked when anyone recognized me but to a legend like not me. Not me anymore. I'm going to put I'm going to get you a new shirt. Mayor. Maya, baby. And then I talked a long time to Paul Felder who is now a former UFC fighter now triathlon legend, big endurance sport guy, and we talked a lot about running and triathlon. It was just, it was an awesome night. And then like you said, Dustin to win. And just to give people an idea of what kind of person Dustin is. I consider him a very good friend. He's been here at Nashville. We've had dinner with him and his wife, me and my wife, and I text him a few times the week of the fight. And I said, hey, if you're around, let's get lunch or dinner. And he didn't respond. And I was telling my wife this, it's very easy when you send a text to someone and you don't get a response to make it all about you. Like how dare they don't respond to me. And for whatever reason. He had a few. He had a little important stuff going on, Ken. I mean, you know, maybe, you know, like a fight at the garden without savage. Got it. So when he sees, he comes into the broadcast booth and everyone's there, Steve and a fellow that you and he comes running over gives me a hug. He's like, hey, I'm sorry I didn't get back to you. I just was in the zone. He goes, man, I've been like, this fight had me on edge. And I think he said it on interviews since then. Like, yeah, man, I was afraid to fight Chandler. He's a tough guy. Of course I was afraid, but he came over and he was like, I'm sorry. I only didn't respond because I was in a place. What do I always say? What do I always say? And that's confirmation again. Well, not that I'm always right. But that's confirmation. I always say anyone who says they're not afraid. They're one of two things. The great customer said this. The one of two things. And I've lived to testify to it over 50 years that he was right on the button. Anyone who's lived through it by being in a ring and everything else. Anyone who says that not afraid, they're one of two things. They read a liar or they need to go to a doctor and find out what is wrong with them. Because fear is supposed to be there for a reason. Put there by God by nature. Whatever you want to believe in, but it's been put in there for a reason to keep you alive. To have you ready when the moment calls for you to be ready. It's our greatest enemy, everyone thinks, but the truth is and I always say this when I'm asked to speak to different who speak to businessmen to see those to base passport teams football teams, whatever NFL and Amazon and the first thing that I say is, hey, you guys got to get rid of that notion that you got to push away fear that it's enemy. It's your best friend. Embrace it, understand it, control it, don't let it control you. It's your best friend. It's been put there for a reason. You can't live without it. You would die every day without it. You would walk across the street, you wouldn't look to see if a cause coming. Why? Because you wouldn't be afraid. But you know, but it tells you, be afraid, look, make sure you don't get hit by a car. It's there. It's to be used, it's not, it's not an enemy.

"I'm good. Listen, before somebody, I know that people scrutinize his show, they look really deep. They appreciate them. Looking quick, looking long, look and deep, looking. Whatever, as long as you're there looking, we appreciate you all. And you like my southern y'all. And. Before people have to start guessing, no, I didn't make a comeback. No, I didn't get popped in the eye. You didn't have a fight with bob Aaron, are you sure? Well, I avoid those. The birthday. Yeah, I would have liked that. But no, I got popped. I got popped because at the fights I was covering a UFC fight the other night at the garden. And for years, and it was a pleasure that you guys were there. I was really nice to have few and robbed there with me. And then Ken was getting really kind of surrounded by so many fans. And more, it was getting a little out of hand. It was getting a little crazy. So I jumped in and stuff started flying. I got caught a little bit trying to get kid out of there. Listen, I'm kidding. It could be possible. That could be very possible, but no. I had a procedure done. This morning, an eye procedure, no big deal. They removed the sty, great doctor, doctor ray, Mustafa, did a great job, I wanted to have an open eye by Thursday when I have a big foundation fundraiser dinner. So he took care of it this morning. And I said, we're here. We like the melman. Maybe even more so sometimes. Neither snow nor rain or dark of night or any of that stuff will stop us from delivering a show. You know, I didn't need a box for everywhere, teddy. Yeah. Europe, we've recorded in the way. Sunday. We're not going to be stopped by this. We're not going to be stopped by trivial stuff. You know, it's odd choice. And we make a choice to do it. And listen, I had a father. Forget about the boxing part of my life. I had a father that was, he didn't need to be a boxer to teach you what professionalism and toughness was. He got surgery in his 70s, major surgery, and the next day he doesn't stay in our hospital. He goes to the office. Don't eat things. The only concession he made to the surgery was that he had to lay on a couch to take care of the patients for that one day. One day, so a stupid I think wasn't going to slow us down. And again, I had a special guy a good man in ray Mustafi, who did it. And I was so happy to have you guys with me at the garden. It really was. It really was really, we'll talk about it, we'll break it all down, but it was a great night. It was extra great avenue guys there. And haven't Dustin when and again, we'll break his fight downward through the whole x-ray that we do, but to have him there and then have him on the air would be afterwards breaking his fight down in some of the other fights. It was really great. He's a friend of us, but he's just a good person because he's staying to go to the dinner Thursday night. And I got to tell a little funny story. I was thinking about and I always tell rob, get these clips up and I know I love to make comparisons with some movie stuff when it fits and from rocky to that scene. It was a great scene. He's gone to the fate, right? The rematch and on his way to the fight Balboa pulls into the church and he yells up a father come on. A rocky, what are you doing right in Italian? No, he's talking about what are you doing over here? He goes, don't you have a fight? Yeah, yeah, but I just wanted to stop by maybe that you could kind of like grow me down a blessing to make sure like I didn't get too beat up tonight. You know, so I was thinking, I was saying impress for Dustin that I prayed for all my family and all my Friends anyway and I pray for this country to be quite especially lately. That we're going to be okay. But I was praying and that he's going to be okay. Because of the person he is, because of the person he is because of the kind of fight that he was in. These guys always in tough fights because of the kind of fight with another monster, just like him, he's a savage, and so is Chandler. And you know, obviously knowing that he was going to come to the dinner and show that other side to him, you know, the fighter outside the ring. The champion outside the ring, where he's going to help us raise money to help. A lot of people in tough situations. So I was thinking about that and saying, God, please make sure, you know, he's okay. And thank God he's okay. And thank goodness who won. You know, you know, win or lose. He was going to leave it all in that case. That's what Dustin does. That's what a lot of these guys do. What a fight. What around, again, we're x-ray the whole thing. And the last thing I want to say, I was just so special night to have my Sunday. He came in from Vegas, everybody knows he was with the Raiders for 14 years and directors scouting out there towards the end. And to have him fly and he's here for the dinner of course, but to have him fly in and come to the show with me and be there. It was just great. And then to see all the just all the special people that, you know, that are part of the UFC makeup. That to the broadcast, there were just all good people. I mean, they're all competent. They're all real professionals. Tremendous of what they do, Paul Felder, Megan olivi, Brett kamado uncle motto, okamoto. But whatever you want to pronounce it, that's okay. He knows that he's great. And Brian Custer now is a new man over there. He left show time and he's now he's with ESPN. Sounds like showtime wheels are off. Yeah, Anthony Smith, that's true, it does. They have problems. And Antony Smith, people leaving a boat over showtime. But Anthony Smith, all of them, just they're special. Look, we know about Joe Rogan and D.C. and John attic, but the guys that I work with afterwards to do the post fight breakdown. They're just the way you would want everybody to be in any profession.

"500 for half his career. Nobody. Damn, I mean, Robbie Lawler. It was close. That was pretty damn good, but it wasn't. And again, we saw the fall of that spring. Yeah. So we don't know the fall. But it was short. It was the Hendricks files. Quick fat. You know, then he ran into Tyron Woodley and got killed. But Charles Oliveira was a 500 fighter on his way out of the UFC two years before they were talking about retiring. Those who shoot box retools this game finally goes to lightweight after playing around in featherweight and hasn't lost, hasn't only had one decision. What decision and holds finishing everyone holds the UFC record finishes submission performance of the night bonuses. I mean, the man started at like 20. Yeah, but usually, guys don't they find a second wind. They still go, they go, I wanted to, like, three and four. Fuck are they lost? No, no. He's the champ. I've never seen anything like that. Got some hands. He is off who said this? Was it Paul Felder? Was RJ Clifford? So the Charles Oliveira is the fedor of the lightweight division. Fedor used to be in every fight and get in trouble. Yeah, yeah. And then he just beat the shit out you. At some point it was like, he didn't look very fedor didn't look imposing. He would get hurt. He was vulnerable. He fucked you up. Charles, it looks the same. You look at Charles over? Just in case he behind it in the division? Oh, Charles over all time. You said that he's number one? Number one in like, I mean, all time, I think Khabib is the number one. And then this one. It's Frank Yeager. Okay. Then there's BJ Penn. You can put Charles in there somewhere. Put him ahead of BJ now. Yeah, I think it's Frankie everybody because Frankie arrows wars with gray maintenance. Frankie era had no business at lightweight. He was a featherweight. Finding a lightweight became the champion. But Charles Alvarez Khabib was like here, but you also have like right there now. And it's like fedor. He gets hurt. You recovers? Fixes whatever's wrong and then you finish being able to beat him. But as I convincing. Every fight that passes, the first time when Charles over here first one of the titles Khabib won. Second files like bibim two. Fight's getting longer now. No, it is. And if in a perfect world, which will, nothing's ever perfect. If Charles was the finish, Islam akshat, then people would be like, oh, maybe he would. And Khabib should be that's his guy. Yeah. Yo, if I'm Danish, like how many millions do you want to come back to fight Charles Oliveira? The story is. Oh, he ain't fight. He's done. No, he's.

"An outdoors person. I like the Woods. I don't like going where there's a lot of people. I hear you, man. I did. Yeah, I like it. Well, listen, Mike, you're a great guy, man. Can't wait for your next fight. Who do you want to find next? I literally don't care. I tell my managers, I tell my coaches, I'm like, you guys find me somebody and I'll start training. What about Steven Peterson? Steve ocho. What's up, Steve. Right here. This is our kid. Well, listen, Mike chisana, it was great to have you on the show man, and I have a great upcoming week. I appreciate it, man. Take care, brother. So we got Steve ocho Peterson here. Probably the capacity to say I don't want to fight me. He says he says sure. What's up? I'm ready to go. You're telling me I'll have him come to your house right now and just jump into. Yeah, let's do it. We'll do it for the gram. How are you, man. By the way, that fight you had was probably the best one I've ever seen. One of them I've ever seen. Really? I was crazy. It was nuts. It was Bill, if you watch one fight, watch his fight. I want to. Where I watch it. It'll be like ESPN+. Still up there, check it out. They were going, but flying cartwheels. Fucking rolling, rolling, cartwheels. He would get hurt. The other guy would get hurt. Back and forth. Every punch was a fucking knock, was that, was that your favorite fight? I know you didn't get the win, but it couldn't want your way. Yeah, yeah, I thought it would. It was a close fight. I mean, that was one of my top I'd say 5 favorite fights. I've had a lot of fun fights, but honestly, I had a blast in there. It was incredible. It's just a shame that wasn't a crowd, you know, if there was a crowd, it would be even better. Were you ever hurt in that fight? For split second when I was rushing in, he hit me with the spinning back fist, I didn't see it. And as soon as I dropped to a knee, I bounced back, I recovered really quickly. That was the only time and I just I was like, no, you can't get me with my move. I was like, I gotta get you back. I gotta get that one back. No, it was insane. It was insanity. The announcement. What's the promotion? UFC? Is he? Yes. Two weeks ago. It was like, it was the greatest fight I've ever seen. It was fucking insane. It started off a little slow. First round, it built. First round wasn't as crazy. Second round was fucking bonkers. Was it by the night? Yeah, it was fun to be here so far. Part of the year. But the problem was, I think you lost a fight. You didn't make weight. I honestly think that the judges knew that. And they gave me, I think that they gave it to the guy who made honestly. When it's a close fight like that, I honestly think the judges go, well, the other guy may wait, we'll give it to him. Do you think there's any truth? It definitely could have been. I mean, I shot myself in the foot there. It's definitely not something I planned on doing. Yeah, things got a little bit out of hand. My body wasn't working with me. So it happened. Right now, that's like those are whipping that noise. What is that noise? I'm stabbing by earpods or stopping. The nervous habit when he talks about cutting weight. Yeah, yeah, you brought up a touchy subject. It's like the third time you miss wait in a row. No, no, there's a second time in my entire career. Second time on my entire career, the problem is it happened back to back. So at this point, it's something that I got to figure out because I've never had a problem in the past and now it's been a problem. What do you think it is? What do you think the problem is? I've changed up the way I train. I do a lot more explosive training, a lot more sprints, whereas in the past I did a lot more grinding work and I feel like my body composition has changed a lot more explosive muscle, whereas in the past I was super lead. I'm cutting way less weight than I used to cut. But my body wasn't letting it go. My muscles will start cramping and fighting back. So it's something I'm going to have to change up in my training because by way was low going into the weight cut, I was like, you know, this isn't that much weight compared to what I'm used to cutting. And then when my body started reacting that way, it's like, well, you can't go back if you have here now and I can't change the way I was training. So I think those sprints need to do more long duration stuff along with the strengths to kind of two and a half pounds. How many was your body that depleted where you just gave up? My muscles were cramping up, I barely made it to the face off asleep. Behind the scenes, I was struggling by hamstrings, my adductors were spasming up and I was just trying to get myself together to get to the faceoffs. Even after I stepped on the scale, if I were to continue to try to cut that last two pounds. The last three pounds I wouldn't have made it to the scale. So it was one of those things where either I was going to go to the scale or I was going to keep trying and go to the hospital. So yeah, I have pounds. Honestly, if it was like 7, 8 pounds, I'd be like, you got to go to the next weight class. 55, right? But I think that you're too small for 55, but those guys are cut from one 80. You know? Exactly. Even 200 to make 55. And you have a skinny kind of frame. So I think that two and a half pounds, if I'm your manager, I'd be like, listen, it was two and a half pounds. The other time it was pounds. He can make 45, because 55 92°. I mean, I used to make one 35. So at this point, what I need to do is I didn't go to the UFC PI. I got to get a body composition scanned. I gotta have them kind of tailor my whole regimen, so Paul Felder in the broadcast is like, I can't believe he hasn't got professional help at this point in his career. Well, at this point, until this point, I have a needed. I've been able to do these things myself. He would cut the 35 for my whole career. Identifying it for 14 years. And now it's become an issue, not once, but twice, so obviously I need to change something I'm doing and I got to make the proper steps. So at this point, I think I'd be an idiot not to take them up on that offer to go up there and get some professional advice at nutrition plans. You'll do it. You'll do it. Now, you got fire of the night. We're bringing the third time. You got fire of the night, right? Third time I got a bonus with the opponents, your opponent. Oh, fuck. Do you have a girlfriend or a wife? 'cause it's gonna be pissed. Right? Yeah, no. I'm solo. Solo and that's good. I don't have nobody to answer to but myself. Your girl would have killed you. She'd be like, it's not new shoes or we could have been on a vacation and now this motherfucker's walking around their money. Man. That definitely stings, but yeah, I mean, it's a big, it's a tough lesson to learn. You know what I mean? It's more than I'll never forget. Well, listen, man, I mean, three times, dude, you guys see this fight, Bill. Yeah. It was incredible. Now, I've been looking at reading about you. So you make money through fighting, but you also have fight fit lifestyle fight fight CBD and fight fit crypto. What a cryo crap. Are these a crypto? You're a crypto..

"I don't like it, but what am I going to do? People are going to use that word. Joe used the word. He made a mistake. He apologized for it. He said some things that he himself said was reprehensible, took full responsibility for it, but to use you as an example, you would always tell people, look, be in a true friend means even when it's not convenient. You got to be dependable. You don't shit can your friends because they make a mistake. You can address the problem with them. You can talk to them about it at your convenience, however you want to handle it, but you don't abandon your Friends because they make a mistake. So with that said, and I'm sure you have some thoughts on the subject, but I'm with Joe Rogan. Hey, Joe, I know it looks everyone's support and Joe. This isn't. I'm not unique, but I just want to put it out there that I'm with Joe Rogan. I don't agree with what he said, but I know Joe's a good person. He's done some acts of kindness for me that I will never forget and that he didn't have to do and forever grateful to the kindness that Joe Rogan has shown me. And I know you enjoyed being on your show and would like the probably say something as well. Yeah, I want to make it short and succinct. It's just racist very serious, very serious. And but it should be serious. It should not be something you made a comment before second ago and you just had the latest attack on somebody. And it has become the weapon of choice. Nowadays, when you do want to attack somebody to see if you can use the weapon of race and racist horrible blight on humanity on society and it's something again that is bad as it is. Is equally as bad and irresponsible. To use it quickly and sometimes even flippantly as something to destroy people and to hurt people because it's too serious a thing because it has destroyed people. Throughout the annals of time in this country. It has. It shouldn't be used now. As sometimes an easy weapon, a convenient weapon. I, I'm going to just finish by saying this. Racism is not something. That lives in one's mouth. Racism is something that is alive and someone's hot. Joe Rogan does not have the heart of a racist. That's it. That's all I have to say. God bless everybody. Clip thanks Ted. Appreciate that. And I know Joe will appreciate it with that. Let's get into Joe Rogan's sport. Joe sport and an organization that Joe helped build and that's the UFC. We had a UFC Fight Night Sean Strickland and Jack Hermanson, two guys that personify fighters in my mind. Just two rugged guys that you would not want to get into a street fight with. And they showed that on Saturday night 5 round war fashion each other about, I think Jack a couple of times was getting Shawn was putting it on in pretty good at times. Jack would continue to try to wrestle and get into a grappling match and take him down. Sean wasn't having any of it. Stuffed all the takedowns continue to batter them about shockingly and I know you agree. I saw some of your tweets you were a tweet storm on Saturday night. They were talking about you, Paul Felder, mentioned how you kept commenting on or that you commented on Sean Strickland's incredible ability to keep changing the range and step just outside a range step back and get his shots off. It was a great observation, Felder picked up on it. But shockingly shockingly, I think it was sadia motto had the fight for Jack her Manson. I mean, it was probably that's as an egregious a scorecard as I've seen in a long, long time. I wouldn't have been surprised if one other guy gave that to her Manson that if he refused to even take the win because it was just so out of line. I mean, Strickland won that fight hands down after the fight, Sean said that he could have taken it more seriously was disappointed in his performance. He said he at times he was fighting like it was almost aspiring session, and actually the first fight I think it was the first fight with his new coach Eric Nick sick from extreme couture, one of the good guys of the sport Francis and ganos trainer and coach. And we love Eric on this show. But curious to hear what you thought about the fight and I mean, like I said, I saw all your tweets, they were excellent, entertaining, as always. But how'd you like the action? Thank you. Appreciate it. First of all, I think that Dana, who we like were friendly with them, Dana White, of course, the man who runs the UFC and who brought the UFC really. Fieri brothers. I always must pronounce their name. It's okay. There you go. A good guy. I know him from years ago. Actually, before they really before the UFC really grow. And we used to do they had to station casinos. I believe its station casinos, whatever, but they had a bunch of these casinos in Vegas and ESPN years ago when I was doing the commentary for the Friday night fights. We used to do some shows there. So I knew one of the brothers, and like I was saying, Dana's done I mean, anyone who can build a product to sell for what? 4.2 billion. Are they done pretty good? They've done a pretty damn good job. Not everyone's going to agree with this..

"Funny, how do I stop it? Not even a cartwheel kick straight out of cartwheel. 20 little kick at the end there. All right. Now, what you just did a cartwheel for no reason. What's going through your head? I mean, I look to her in complete discuss, so I do think my place is all like everyone always laughs. We always zoom in on my face during fights because I always I don't have a poker face. So if I think you're doing something stupid, like you will see it. Yeah, I mean, when I did my pre fight interview, they did tell me that she had told them that stripping directly correlates with fighting. So I guess I expected to try to do some in a bit out of the ordinary. But I was a little bit shocked that she thought. Yeah, I don't even really know to be fair, I was just like, what are you doing? But hey, she can take a punch in a kick, like you said, she was tough. She has a hard head. I felt like those kicks I was solid, but she ate a champ. So. I mean, Paul Felder though was like, cartwheel. Okay. I've been a car wheel cake, just the car we don't. Like he just said cartwheel. And I was like, I was driving while listening to it, and then I had to pull over and watch it. I must have watched that like a hundred times. I'm like, that was the funniest thing. I mean, I haven't seen something so random in a while. I like the equivalent of a guy like just doing like a man doing something silly, like, you know what I mean? It's kind of like a show off move, just for the sake of showing off, right? So I remember seeing I do it. I saw her doing slow moms. I knew she was going to do something a bit like trying to show off. And like, she was trying to do something, I don't know if she thought the kick was going to land. I don't know, like, I was confused, but each of their own, I guess. It was hilarious. I mean, I'm surprised no one made that like a meme. I mean, that was the funny. I was like, huh? I'm like, watch me. But it was a pretty nice cart wheel. I got to say like it was a good cartwheel. You know, it was the whole thing with hilarious. I was laughing pretty hard. Watch. Yeah. You gotta make that a name now. You gotta take a little clip of that your reaction just going like with your little shrug. You're like, okay. I actually think I already have, so I'll have to find it. My group chat is full of memes and most of them are me during fights. So funny. But yeah, that should be done. But yeah, I like it took me years to learn how to even cartwheel, so pass off. Now, did you train with patty pinball? He seems to be all the rage right now..

"Can you get scott mcrae question about can you rate the commentary tonight. Asked him about the commentary. All look at that. How do you. How do you do that expected that scholar. Yeah i i so so. It's funny so i was thinking were bottom moments where bothered comments day because they got sidetracked quite a bit And we're not. We're not talking with a long stretch. This okay guys go on tangents. I mean that's when you have former fighters you want them to bring the sort of character and bring their stories to the to the commentary with otherwise you'd get boring. People like us on their Well no mike. You've actually done it before. So i should say speaking so to speak for myself but but at the same time it's like sometimes there's a lot happening on screen and they're not calling it it's so disorienting and again i really wanna get their educated opinions and sort of like why these happening how. It unfolded certain way. So so i don't like when they go too far on tangents but scott said specifically in his question. He's like he says he that he was entertained. And i think for a lot of viewers. That's the most important thing right. It's still like joe rogan. It's right it's like we can be in the media can be a bit like tight about. Oh i wish. They focused on the fight. I wish they understand scoring criteria better but at the end of the day. If the viewer is entertained by what the what. The commentary team is saying is that not that the primary goal of of what. They're doing why they're there talking. So it's not for me. It's not my kind of thing but again. That's just me. Criticizing objectively if you rogan cormier. This being whoever paul felder genetic. I guess that's all that matters right. I guess we can't. We don't necessarily need to be so critical when it comes to. But i'll say personally. I did not choice in cometary tonight so that was sort of disclaimer. If you liked it good for you. I wish they could focus a little more on the fights and not not stray too much say is i can't wait to laura. Sanco is in the mix for these fight night cards. Thank you yes i i liked it. Dan halley is. I mean i know. He's sort of a newer voice that we're so used to antic and you know now. We've gotten accustomed of gerald and john goodman wu. He's on and then he comes on. And it's like a little bit of a different sound but the combination of felder and sankoh doing color on tuesday on the contender series is phenomenal is a great mix and i think she can serious is the right word but she kind of injects like a fun seriousness to it. Where like she's having fun and show off her personality. But it's not like over over the top silly like some of these things can get. It gets a little tangent he like like you said there are times especially when the like the european fighters are fighting. I kinda shook my head a couple of times you little hometown hometown. Glory stuff going on. I mean visiting you could tell he catches himself and then like finds that middle ground again but he gets you could tell he kind gets away from him for a second but then he's he is a he has improved so much in this game and he's really good at it that he knows that he catches himself and he gets back into it. But i mean it was fine when you have an in a quarterback role. He can control it a little bit and and stop it before it gets out of control. It's a very tough thing to do. It's really difficult when you have personalities like that and you have to try to control the narrative and and kind of keep everybody on track. It's not easy. So i have so much respect for everything john anecdote and because that job is very hard very difficult part of the like actually like the best from what i remember it was When actually dc went to the telestrator was actually breaking down. How brenton was getting these take downs and no you know putting hand underneath the button emptying out the right way things like that. That's what i like. That's what i want. But i totally get why. That's what maybe the fans at home. What i don't know i get entertainment. Sports entertainment so whatever. I'm bill that's why i love. I love dominic fans just are not dominic dominant. We'll get so analytical. But i don't agree with dominic. I respect his viewpoint always in and dominate kind focused on the fight and yeah but to each their own. Whatever business like. I like felder a lot. I think graphic really Jackson performance felt underwhelming. Would you agree. I don't think so. I mean listen. It was it was it. Did he perform like a minus. Six hundred favourite typically would and just go out and start this kid no but fought a really tough guy like a very game and tough guy And when you don't really especially when you take on a guy like that on short notice when you're preparing for a much different opponent in a much different fight you got a mind your ps and qs. I don't care who it is especially when you're undefeated there's a target on your back. There's a lot of. I know he's not getting all the attention. You probably deserves this record. But at the same time the hardcore fans had jack shore circled. They're all watch them very closely. And if you follow that hardcore trend schorr was a very popular name so most people expected especially the betting lines. He just go out there and finish his kidney minute very tough to finish that guy. He's very durable. Very game aka talked about it on the preview. Show that this wasn't going to be a typical squash match. Who's going to give him a little bit of trouble. And i mean short cruised and did his thing fifteen and now. I see a big problem with performance. I thought he showed his striking continues to get better and better He's able to mix things up nicely. We got see some different pieces to his game in the afc that we haven't seen before. I don't think underwhelming affair word that my crazy with you. I don't honestly. He was the third five on the bottom against a relative unknown fighter too. You know most you've seen fans so i think if there's a fight just to get three solid rounds in get three solid ten nines you know and i don't even think he got. It was a great performance. It was it was a great mixed martial arts performance by the third round. He was just like he looked so. Loosen there and so comfortable while you while you. The fan may be a bit. Underwhelmed i'm sure jack. And his coaches were very very. We're very satisfied with his performance tonight and he will get higher. You'll get higher payment cards. Get.

"He's got left on it. Every contract is not in the ufc ever again. He boxing why. I had said for a while. I think conor had been planting these seeds for fights that would generate interest but aren't championship fights number. He had that weird beef with paul felder and then he's still calling out hatfield assan sonya ki- i think honda wants to plow through these fights too but he wants to draw interest in the fight. Not just fight to fight. He wants to have some sort of story line in there. And then i'm i've been saying this i think they d- isn't connor. Fight it third third time outside the ufc and make a load of money I think that's what they want to do. But i don't think the uc wants them to do that. We could see that. Connor is going to fight. Conor was diego one exactly. He wants to fight guys that he's at least had some sort of issue with but it won't be a championship that'll time and then he can fight contract to do this whole thing. He can actually beat diego. So as good jake. Versus on punk. Jake paul will the to logan paul versus tommy furey same card on christmas day killed the gift that keeps on given chris old school old school like pro wrestling some stockade action. Jake is definitely trying to baikonur time. Telephone works i think he. He's not trying to bait him because he doesn't have to baited. Connor wants to fight. Because it's the goal of prize fighting as has been eloquently established time and again the last few years you want to get the most money for that easiest fight like that is the whole reese rematch story. Mozzarell- immediately after a night conor mcgregor and get the most money and it is the easiest five from. I don't know that he beats jake. Paul belykh things are going so hot form. Mma right now so it's just a way better option. I have the bait anything knowing worldly what offense expect the he exceeded expectations. Sean tired with the exceed your expectations. No he was he was genuinely. Just tyron woodley out there for a long long stretches where you could even see it a couple times early on where he was trying to do that thing where he puts his back up against the fence but he did it with the ropes. And he's like oh. This isn't really the same thing and then you didn't stop doing that. But even went back even went to like early on. He was absolutely just being tyron woodley and again fighting like he's allergic throwing punches for long spurts in. It's the most frustrating thing to watch. Sometimes i will say on this. I was very like watching the fight. Jay paul's coaches clearly scouted tyron woodley. They did not follow. Like what like what sean said. When tire like backed up a few times because his whole uc kerr. That's what he did he would kind of backup and then like lounge. That overhand right. Every time we did that. Jake paul never bit at aw just stayed back and there were points where they were like feet apart because the jake paul did not push forward. He made tire leading has never been a guide to lead the dance in fight. He's always a counter guy. And jake paul completely took him out of that and made him walk towards him and tyrant had nothing for it. And jake paul just do a job. And even when he was exhausted i saw a couple of boxing..

"Casey lied in in the in the which is currently Parked in cleveland. I'm ready to get yeah. I don't think i'm going to be on the show anymore. Because like thousands music right there. Great Thank you for tuning in right now. I assume everyone twenty and just saw an incredible performance by one giga chakaodza. A putting away veteran longtime lightweight contender and recent featherweight contender It's obosa via strikes in the third round after a pretty competitive pretty competitive first two rounds but First of all. I was right. I giga win this fight. Let's let's make sure we. We emphasize that. I believe you picked barbosa. I did and i went. That's fine and i wish jed was here because he said both was going to destroy godzilla which at that was a little unreasonable bar. Boza would mixed martial arts and he just didn't he He he thought he. He bought a glorify of smart gloves. And by the way. It's not a bad grandpa. i know We've seen we know probably a little more well rounded. We probably just seen more of him. As far as i go into the final. Four you guys not a bad grappler. All he got to use a little bit this fight. Of course after hurting hurting barbosa on the feet. So it's not like he likes straight out grappled him but he said he looked pretty comfortable down there Going for choke and then and then finishing of course with With strike as has tried stand so really Jose what did you think of the fight. in entirety. Not just the results about two and a half rounds of action. I thought barbosa had an absolutely atrocious game plan. Get these punches to the body for whatever reason He was finding some success with leg. Kicks i think the calf kicks. I think it was late in the second early in the third round and gigi just adjusted and bar. Bosa didn't because like even the the abroad cast normally watch the fights broadcast on but If if one of the fighters that is calling the fight has fought one of the fighters involved in the fight. I do like avenue on just because they will have some sort of insight. It's actually fight. And even paul felder. An michael busy made made a point to say as soon as edson started to find success with those calf. Kicks gigi just switch stances and adjusted and ettore. Bosa just didn't and you try though these hooks to the body and gig takada was just kind of circling away and just kind of slapping that kick in and it kind of pushing him away violently so it was just weird weird weird game plan for from ed's barbosa whereas seems like giga came with a perfect one and even when edson was finding success. Giga was the one who folic veteran that adjusted on the fly and edson just didn't whether he just didn't have time or not is another thing maybe just got hurt early just never recovered but on the fact that giga almost finished in with that choke won the I can't remember which ron i was like man. Kenny jacuzzi submits hasn't are both my head going to explode but awesome performance from giga. I really wanna see him. Fight max holloway. Or yea rodriguez right now because dude look like world-beater dono if he beats either of those two individuals because especially max he puts together game plans like no one else can adjust on the fly like no one else. But i i just really wanted to see gidget. Qazi fight someone that Can just bring every aspect to them and they out in that fight yes after the fight he called for while he said i'd like to be reserve for the upcoming alexander volkov ski brian ortega featherweight title fight and then said in a pretty long winded way. He wants to fight. Max holloway by the way fighters do not volunteer to be the reserve for a title. Please do not unless you're getting guaranteed show and win money to be reserved than by all means do it. If you're not getting that guarantee it's cool to be a company guy or company gal. Do not volunteer to be reserved. You you will get nothing out. Sorry it's i know. I know that's got a cynical thing to say. Cool being company guy. it's cool. That's the cool thing to do now. I mean they've your sam alvin. I mean it's last you a long time. They'll talk about him in a little bit. I guess it will for christie bass thirty. I'm sorry this is the ultimate fighter. Twenty nine finale not using as let's call by card really is and that was headlined by repair. The word fight Casey do kind of agree with jose. That may maybe Barbosa it wasn't his best strategy tonight against you. God's yeah pretty much agree with everything. Jose said I still i still think. Giga is better mixed martial artists but Sorry edson was a mixed marsh artists but but he made this a kick boxing match with small gloves and Yeah and that's what's gonna happen I'm not saying as a lose every time. They were in strict kickboxing match. But he'll lose more than you'll win and that's just a dumb dumb. He's really good. But i think i really think gig Got into his head and got into ego when no we heard those comments earlier about geico saying you know what what does that. ever done. la blah blah. This you know and you know Isn't a fighter. He takes personally you know. And then he fought. P didn't fight the right fight and that's what happens and we got we got bonuses. Let's play the game casey. I know you'd like to guess. I saw them as well. Casey go ahead. Let's let's have a Is there is there a fight tonight. Yeah there's five Total Sort under undis- undisclosed fight of the night. It's not an official one. But they're going gonna give him some extra money. I go ahead. I really bad. I'm really bad. I only watch the main card. So i i'm actually oh really okay. Jose main guard. Yes are are jose wanted. It is al-hassan mir shark gives you qazi sabatini All one bonuses. I thought i think. Mary started out his on.

"Throat. Let's go over the weekend because this is not just about kelvin and cannon near by the way let's jump off there in fact kelvin. Kanner hell of a fight. It was very good. I was a little annoyed. The announce team because they were insisting that canon near was winning the fight. I thought they were wrong for one. I still maintain that they are wrong. However i'm now in a little bit of a week position. Considering the announce team sought the exact same way as the judges so okay chill on third base wearing a cashier. That's not the first time. I like to sit back and talk about judges but i'll actually want to sit at that desk and do it myself. I'm sure you guys can relate to that but it was a very competitive match and cannon near ended up getting a whole lot of respect for his defense which generally is not. A fight has done. I mean generally under the ten muss system and it really doesn't matter if you're talking unified rules or if you're talking queensberry rules it's your offense that wins the fight but cannon here's defense was beautiful. I mean i've got to tell you. He took some really hard shots but he slipped a whole bunch of them and his take down. His wrestling defense was nearly perfect. I have to say that you guys normal home or you know what. I'm team kelvin. But i still want to give jared his credit to give credit understand. How well kelvin fought. Kelvin did everything right. My big fear going into this fight. Ask kelvin advocate was that he doesn't mix things up when he does mix things up. It's very well. He doesn't have to get those take downs with the double-leg or the single as to the body likes he doesn't have to drag his opponent to the map but he must threaten it at all times and went kelvin's not out there threatening the wrestling the hands and the kids just don't come together the same for him so when he does put them together and make sure that he's mixing of the arts gets damn good results. This was one of those situations kelvin. Did everything right. There was nothing after that. Fight to take him back to the hotel. Sit him down in front of the computer this up replay. Show him what he did wrong. He didn't kelvin. Did everything right. He brought his skills. That was his best effort. He held up in championship rounds. He got knocked down. I believe it was in the fourth round. He spun around pop his feet to the point that even pressed paul felder. Paul fellers hard to impress toughness because paul so goddamn tough. Paul was impressed. Kelvin wrestled boom jail. Got what he wanted cana near did a great job defending he stopped a lot of those take downs one time that he did go down. I also believe that was a four. He pops right back up cananea. I've talked about now. Cana near didn't do hips forward and fight. Turn and facial opponet cutback. No he used the fence. He used the fences a tag team partner. If you're a fighter and trainer going watch the stand up the cannon your did. It's not on accident. Many guys are doing this. I maintain that this being started. This was the first guy to realize. Vikings get to the fence. I can get up to my feet really easy because now we can't push before he can't knock me off balance. I'm stepping one foot of the time cannon here did that canon. you're awesome. He really did. I maintained for you. That one of the reasons that canon the so good with the intangibles which is the condition. Which is the heart and it is. The toughness largely has to do with him changing weights from heavyweight to tool five down to one eighty five the disciplined that it takes the hard work and the effort that it takes to beat. The scale has a built in byproduct that it helps your cardio tremendously. So i share that because kelvin is now five in six. He's won one match of his last six. He still a main of guy he went into this fight. Ranked number three in the world. He will come out of it. No lower than fourth and he might swap with cannon near and go to five. He's a top five guy so if you go read his record you're going to be greatly misled. It is one of the most deceptive records in alabama may. I forgot it was true. I forgot that he's lost five of his last six. I didn't know until i saw it on paper. I didn't think it was right. And i looked a little that is right. But he's fighting the hardest guys and the hardest position which is the main event sometimes on short notice sometimes extremely little notice. He's doing everything right and his skills look fantastic. He ran into another stud. It's as simple as that in life. Particularly in sport is not as easy and it's not as obvious as looking at a result and using that isn't indicator to the performance as an athlete in coach. You want your guy or yourself to go out there and focus on the performance. Not the outcome when you start thinking about. How is this going to go. And what is the outcome started getting used to start clinging to. I can't lose. I just have to win you. Don't go out there and flow and you don't go out to perform. I thought his performance was very good. I mean i must say that the number three guy taken on the number. Five guy stuff's going to happen and stuff did happen. I do not agree with the narrative that this was a runaway fight by cannon here. That's just simply not.

"Put on the screen that is a fight that in waiting for and obviously everybody wants to see yon and gloria. Everyone can't wait to see peter. Yon have an opportunity to get his belt back from algebra sterling but to have that fight a up and comer and the ufc big time veteran. Get an opportunity to do battle. Those are the things that have made the ufc one of the most popular sports in the world. Not just america. They have to make that happen you. Ufc makes the fights that people feel should happen and honestly rda right. Now is the fight for islam. Right yes mom needs one of those big named guys. If he's going to truly make a run you are back in the day habibie. Rda that was one of his earliest big victories on his run to the championship. So for islam. Invite a guy like los angeles a guy who looked phenomenal in his return to one fifty five against paul felder guy that has skills across the board. He's in the challenge. Islam ways that is never been child. If i'm markus ships right. I support him. But i also understand that saved very difficult task for him in los angeles though. Sandro says nobody steppingstone they'll find. Those has a ton of attitude he has a warriors mentality and he has a champion mindset and he feels he's going to beat islam manga show. But if you look at that right. It'll be the third time that they've tried to make this fight if this happens in abu dhabi massive platform as we head back to fight. It'll be huge for marcus. You have to fight in the middle east. You see what type of star hobby became over in the middle east by going to abu dhabi but then to be on a fight card with two championship fights. It couldn't be better. And i hope that the you have seeking make this up. Listen are see. I'm not a guy that loves to travel. But every time they load up to say we're going to eighteen hours to abu dhabi. I jumped on. Because i know when they go to abu dhabi. The fight cars are going to be fantastic. And that's exactly what it's going to be when we head back at the end of october in men two title fights who could ask for anything better. That's exactly what we want and that's a charter for you though. Dc that it's a private jet so let's not act like you're sitting in the back of economy on a plane that no that that That other people can't afford this is going to be a totally different trip for you. And this is the one thing i'll say about the islam. Makhachev of raphael does sanyo's match. That's a fight. That's exciting to me. That that's an opportunity to see islam against one of the greats that i know is going to put pressure on that i know won't be scared won't watch the film of islam's wins and say you know what i can't attack him this way or i can't get i can't get close here. He's gonna find the weaknesses attack them and make islam macho make adjustments and that's what the fight game is about. That's what being a champion is about infatuated people like me. The fans of the sport want to see absolutely and he's gonna test islam as we spoke about now to be always right in the talk of the title picture. He's been a champion for a long time. He beat me twice right steep milch steep as very frustrated right now steep a says. Why am i not getting my third fight. Dc got it. Got the fight me time. Why am i not getting a chance to finish this trilogy. Which francis in ghana in when charter is situated on. I think that's how you say. His name from one of tweets this right. He doesn't think that he's going to get a comment from the greatest heavyweight. Us history ryan the steep. They have the right to be this upset. After getting knocked out by francis and gawain last match he absolutely. Does you think about your trilogy. We me cheese and how you were able to get rematch. How he was able to get a rematch after his loss for a guy like francis in ghana who had lost a steep milkshakes early on in his career to get his opportunity to to get his loss back now. Steve baby jakes the best heavyweight champion. That we've ever had in the ufc has to sit and wait right. There was an interim title that features derek lewis. And then we feel like that champion or that winner would get an opportunity at francis and why wouldn't a next chance at the champion beastie bay. Oj's why hasn't he earned that opportunity and there are some weird things happen happening in the ufc heavyweight division. Some of the matchups being made some of the decisions being made but there is none more head-scratching than steep amyot checks not getting an opportunity so fight for the build again when you defended the belt or the championship as many times as he did when you beat some of the biggest names in the ufc when you beat some of the biggest names in the history of the heavyweight division you have earned that clout. You should be walking in which our office t shirt on like aaron rodgers. The gm the defacto president. You're going to give me more money. You're gonna give me out at the next year or not coming steep meal. Gic has earned the right to be aaron rodgers and i wish dana white in the ufc. Treat them as such. The only issue i have is in this situation. In an interim belt y steep as not involved in the interim title fight as in some capacity right to say that they wouldn't just revisit. The fight with francis right away is a bit understandable because he got knocked out wrong number two but to just not have an interim title situation seems a little bit Left field for me but honesty with the momentum that derek lewis has after we fought with the momentum that ciro gone. Has i understand how these two guys are in the number one contenders fight ryan is going to be a fantastic fight this weekend. Between you're ri- hall and sean strickland also bella tours finishing their grand brand. Pries the pit bull. Patricia full versus. Aj mckee fantastic fight. Big fight weekend this weekend are see. What are you looking forward to as we head into friday saturday. Listen when you shot me about the pit bull and aj mckee fighting. I did a deep dive into what was going on in belot or and man. I am extremely excited about that. We have to do two totally different personalities. Different fight styles. Both exciting one is undefeated. Mckee's other is a legend in in pit bull so to get an opportunity to see those guys do battle for the belt is going to be big time. But it's been fun dc man. It's been a great time. Hopefully my mentions won't go crazy like they did last.

"That's as big as mixed martial arts. And the you have c. No i absolutely agree with that. Dc it's it's about experience it's about understanding there were times with with even me watching the fight in listening to some of the things that you guys were saying on the broadcast. It's like okay. How is this. How is this octagon control going to be seen. How is this whether it was a takedown. That was defense or one that was completed. How will that be scored against maybe some of the significant strikes that we saw on the feet and i do believe that a level of expertise is needed in so many different sports. We had this conversation whether it's it's football and you have officials who've never played who've never played the game basketball officials who've never played the game or don't necessarily know exactly what they're looking for. All they can do is turn to a rule book sometimes the black and white of the rubik rulebook doesn't necessarily tell the true tale of the fight and i think we saw that in a couple of occasions this weekend and going forward. I don't wanna see that again because these fighters do not get these opportunities back. You just never know you be cut from the ufc and actually wanna fight that you lost on the score court. That gets you out of your job for you. And i both know ryan from experience right. A lot is momentum and momentum gets crushed right. We've seen football teams going runs teams that we didn't think we're very good right. But then the momentum starts to build in the next thing you know. they're six and one. They start to believe fighters way when they get. It's hard for them to rebuild the momentum that they may have had before and then you see them. Losing to three in a row looking at being cut being must win situations. Now let me tell you who's not in a must win situation ryan. You hear that you like do i. Did you like to see segue segue dula. Tv earlier segue right. So who's not in a must win is the champ. Y'all mehovic as he fights over to share in abu dhabi also peoria now james thoroughly rematch abu dhabi. But the fight. That i'm most hoping gets made in abu dhabi is rda versus islam. Mauka chev- those guys want to fight their online talking trash to each other. They're telling each other. I wanted like you wanna bring it. How excited are you for those. Two title fights abu dhabi but also the idea that the third fight on the card could be markhasev versus rda. I mean that will create that we talked a little bit about not having pay per view or not having the correct headliners when you make a fight car. That has those three fights at the top of it. That is big time. Obviously everyone wants to see islam makhachev against some of the top competition so if you bring him in there against rda right someone who has a champion inside the octagon someone with that much experience. That much toughness that seemingly wants this fight as much as islam. Marketshare wants this fight. Those are the things we sign up for. those are the fights. I'm sitting at home on my couch. Tweeting every other minute. Hoping that dc call somebody at the top of the executive chain says put on the screen that is a fight that in waiting for and obviously everybody wants to see john and gloria. So for islam via a guy like los angeles a guy who looked phenomenal in his return to one fifty five against paul felder guy that has skills across the board. He's in the challenge. Islam ways that is never been child..

"About paulie fell there. What about our guy polly felder. Who says you know what i'm done with this. I'm walking out on my terms. You know i've seen all these other people that he didn't actually say this but it has been a theme as of late seeing all these sort of depressing integrate mma careers and he says. You know what. I feel in my heart. I've done what i had to do. You know the ceilings there. I'm gonna go out there and do other things You know he had hinted at this in the past but he came out on saturday and officially announced the retirement. What did you think of this as we as as we've seen over the last like i said a lot of the pressing depressing results polly felder. Says you know what i'm done. I'm good you paulie. red stash. Texted me after the show where i said. They've offered him the fight against islam. And all these other dudes and paulie right away told me he goes. You know i've been kind of thinking about walking away. that's why. I haven't taken the fight against islam or anybody else. Listen paul felder was never afraid of any. Paul felder will fight anybody who seated on a number of occasions. I mean he fought. Rda on five days notice in loss thirty pounds to make the weight right. So we know who. Paul felder is but when you lose that fire compete especially when you're a guy like paul write a guy who kind of is a blood and guts warrior when you lose that that that desire at fire to be in there in going through the type of fights at. He's been through with mike period than hooker. And all those guys how do you. How do you wrap your mind around the damage that you take if you'll love doing it. No more when his. It's easy to do when you love it. You go home with the bruise you go. You know what. I'm going to recover them to go to this guy because i love it when that's going going in the guy in paul felder who has a fantastic broadcast career. That's waiting for him. "How do you see this fight playing out? Because I really don't know. Like they usually, you know, you kind of have a hunch. Something will go. Certainly. I have no idea as to how this is gonna play out. What about you? Yeah. I mean, there's a lot of things that can happen. Tonto shift it in different directions. I believe, um, but I think Off the bat. One of the first things it's going to be really important is Where is he going to play out on the feet? If Charles is in control from the gecko on the on the feet. It's gonna be a problem for Chandler. I think, because if Charles could force Michael Toe. Want to be a wrestler tonight? That's not good for him. I don't think I think Mike's really got to try to crack his chin. Try to put him out with punches and pressure and then later on, maybe mixing that takedowns. But if early on if he's forced to be like, Oh, crap, I don't want to be on the seat with this guy. He's dangerous and starts shooting early. When Charles is fresh, they're both fresh to both dry. It's gonna be a real problem. But if Chandler can take Tate Stand up early and hurt. Olivera. Then I think the moment um is really going to shift in his direction. So I think the first couple minutes of this first round tonight are gonna be really, really important for everybody at home, watching and really keep it eye on that. See what happens right off the bat. Because Charles has so much confidence in that stand up now, and I think he's more diverse in that he's longer. And he uses more tools. He loves. Elbows, kicks jumping, kick spinning kicks flying these elbows. He doesn't care because he's got the ace up his sleeve. All times of those submissions skills so If Mike turns into a wrestler early. I think it's a problem for him if Mike can hurt him early. It's a problem for Charles. But I cannot wait to see what happens in the first few minutes. I get goose bumps thing about this fight. You know again, it's bittersweet. It sucks to the guy that I've defeated is now fighting for the the biggest belt in the world. But Tells a pretty cool. Do you have a pick? I think, Charles. Yeah. Okay, um, straws but again, that's you know, we know how this game works. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes through the way. But if I had to make a bed tonight, I would bet on untold Charlie Olives. Yeah, And if he does it, he breaks you know, he breaks a record, He'll become the record holder for most fights before in the UFC before winning Undisputed gold. Currently, the record is 26 Michael visiting U F C 1 99. This is his 28th UFC fight. Paul felt it before I let you go. I do want to ask you about Edson Barboza. Another guy, you know? Well, another guy who competed against fighting at 1 45 in a fantastic fight against chamber goes, that's really flying under the radar. If you ask me I feel like it's a Barbosa should be to know as a featherweight. I think he beat Danny Gay. I also feel Paul that he shouldn't be fighting at for the way. I feel like he cuts too much way. I know that may sound weird because on the one hand I'm saying to know, But I just feel like this isn't the right weight class for him. What do you think about him at 1 45. And what do you think about this fight against the very, very tough shame Burr goes. I 100% agree with you on this fight and anybody that's asked me any questions about this paper view. The one thing I make sure to mention Is that people have to watch the opener into this paper view. It's the opener right of the of the paper view card. Last night. I believe so. Yeah, Yeah, E mean, uh, If you're a fan of this sport, and you're not tuning in to watch this fight, then you need to hand in your your cards as an M m a fan and just quit because this fight is gonna be insane. The boxing of Virgos. First, the kickboxing, the kicking game of engine and as far as the weight, it's tricky. Because I've trained to that's in, and I know him a little bit personally, and I know that he's got like a crazy almost like hyper active metabolism and thyroid, where he has to eat. So many calories to keep on Wait. So that's what he was doing to actually stay at 1 55. I think this is actually close to the hell he normally would look if he just Trained really hard and didn't eat. Ton of galleries to replace it. But he does look scary. I'll agree. He looks scary at 1 55. When he made weight and 1 45. He looks dangerously thin. But that's how his father is, too. If you've ever seen pictures of his dad Really like, lean and skinny and looks just like him at 1 45, so it just might be his genetics. High praise there you can hear for me means nothing When you hear from Paul Felder, that you have to go out of your way to watch this fight. You know, all the attention has been on Oliveira and Chandler. A lot of the attention, of course, has been on Tony Ferguson being with their usual. Don't be surprised into the night fighting the night is shame Burgers. And it's in Barbosa 75. K tonight because Tony Ferguson asked Dana Ford and Dana apparently said, Yes, Paul. One Triple eight, say ESPN. That's one triple 87293776. Let's go to Ben. In Montclair, New Jersey, Ben What's up? What? The burial. How's it going? It's going, woman, man. How are you? I am great. Well, I appreciate you having me on and I wanted to take this turn toe. Shout out my man, Dan Hooker. I think he's going to show everybody what he's been working on. I know that man is hard at work. He's patient. He's doing exactly what he needs to build the skill set to continue his run from 2019 and beating a Paul Felder. You know, he faced us in 48, you know? In an incredible battle. And obviously that battle was so impressive that cruise dust important in the main event tonight, but Dan hookers going to show everybody what he's made of, and I don't know who this Michael Chandler guy is. He was like a punk on. Do you think it's like He's got a big ego and I haven't seen anything from him. That makes me feel like he's the man that he acts like he is. He's a condom, McGregor wannabe. And I've got my money on Dan the man hanging in hooker tonight. I love it. You're one of these guys who says Oh, you want titles and belt or that don't mean nothing. You got to come to the U. S. C. You got to get by the damn hookers of the world in order to be a top contender in the UFC. I like it. I respect it. We'll see Just how good Michael Chandler is tonight. Ben, I appreciate it. Thank you for the call My man. Let's go to Andrew in Birmingham. Birmingham, England. Sweet Home Alabama. What's up, Andrew? A real big fan of your work, man. Thank you so much for everything you do for the sport. Thank you. I appreciate that. So I know it would be almost a crimes and look past this wonderful card looking forward to tonight. I mean, I totally get that. But I'm going to say something I'd never thought I would say about a McGregor McGregor card, and that's There's a huge shadow looming over this event, and that shadow belongs to one heartbeat. I mean, he's gonna be watching this with best interest as well. So here's my question to you. What is our best case scenario? Is it basically Connor bus for drawing him out of retirement? I mean, if Dustin wins does he have enough heat? Eo Lord hubby back into the case one more time. Is the GOP by completely up table. What? What in your mind is the best case scenario for us being able to see him Go for 30 A. M. First of all, I think there's a very good chance of you doesn't come back this year like I think we need to stop holding her breath for it. You know, he just He just fought in October, and over the last few years, he's only been fighting. Once a year. So, like I said earlier, he's not coming back. If in fact he does come back until the fall, So we need to stop holding our breath. I think the UFC after this fight tonight should move on. It's okay that this fight isn't for a belt. For you. McGregor, too, But I think If McGregor wins, his next fight should be for the belt for the vacant title. They should move on. And I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back in 2022 or 2023 to try to get to that 30, you know, but I'll tell you what if McGregor wins tonight, especially the way in which I think he's going to win. He's not waiting around until the fall. Probably fighting maybe April. May, June, July, And then maybe after that one. If it goes well, you could get me to come out now to answer your question about partying. I don't really see all that much. Interest from Habib to fight. For you again. He fought him last year. Well, two years ago. Now, in September of 2019, it was you know, I won't say one sided, You know, poor He did get a nice shot in there in the second, but ultimately, hubby did his thing and won the fight. That's not the money fight that the contra fighters. I think it's gonna be hard to get him out of a timer for that you have season interested in the GSP fight. I think it's all but dead, to be honest. So I don't know. I think at this point, he'll come back 2022 2023 something like that. But honestly, I don't think Connor's next fight is against the beef. And honestly, I don't think we see him in 2021. At least not right now. Maybe something changes that tonight. But as of right this second, I don't see him coming back this year, so we need to stop holding our breath about that. Let's go to Steven in Toronto. Stephen, What's up? Yeah. Long time listener from Toronto. Yes, and just you've done a lot to grow the sport. So we appreciate you over here, and I think you're the best interviewer in the business. Thank you said that I wanted to ask you noticed over the last year like a lot of the fighters from dominance, and the maids like bluesman could be Frankie's Bhutto. Haven't seen them on your show so much, and I don't know if you've addressed that, But like I said, You know, it's always good, especially in the enemy. Our days your guys like could be on the show. So just Is there a way to repair that relationship? Can we bury the hatchet? You know all the abilities if you're listening. Let's let's let bygones be bygones. Let's come on. You got the face of ESPN, the highest doing show. Let's Let's get these guys back on a real show. Amen. My friend. There's no hatchets buried on my end. I did nothing wrong. One day I woke up and at least said, I can't talk to his guys anymore. Laughable, ridiculous. Nothing happened. He's trying to endear himself to Dana White. And so he feels like this is a good way to do that. Um, The truth is, I talked to a lot of his guys. Off the record if you text on the phone, but they wanna you know, they want to follow his wishes. They want to not rock the boat and I get that, but there's no hatchet to bury here. I'm here waiting. He thinks he's hurting me. He's not. I would argue that he's hurting his own guys by doing this so he could do his own thing. Whenever they're ready to talk again. I'll be here waiting, but life moves on life rolls on. He thinks he's hurting me. He's not. I'm doing my thing here on ESPN radio, so we'll see what happens. All right. I appreciate the question. I appreciate the call. Let's go Toe Soo in Montclair, New Jersey, Second caller from Montclair first female Caller of the Night, Sue, How are you? I'm well, how are you? I'm doing great. Thank you. So I'm a really big fan.
