I remember when bill davis law. Cobb i saw the highlights like oh bill davis not falling off some guy. I've never heard of you know and then turns out. No we lost a frigging them. Cobb no this guy. We just didn't know how good he was at the time when he beat. Go davis so. I'm really interested rematch. I think davis. I think he's the most underrated light heavyweight in the world. He still easily top ten and on his on his best days. He's the top. Five light heavyweight third. So i'm really excited about name. Costco davis but of course the degenerate me agrees with my cac core. Of course it's the freak show match between this this total bro jock youtube amateur boxer versus a retired. Ufc fighter who is literally the worst striker maybe ever to be like a ranked fighter in the afc name name of worst striker ever in uc. And that's who's fighting in a boxing match after he's retired and after. You have a new robotic hip playstation or something. That guy that fought on fight island kick punch ranked minor. No he wasn't ranked kick pod. I'd like this and aspirin. I think actually. I think underrated. mma fighter. I think people just look at his last two fights because sent but i think actions. It was an anime fighter but he was literally the worst striker ever to have a ranked number by name in the ufc. ever and. of course. I wanna see because that's why it makes no sense. Now what i pay seventy bucks you see on the different story based off of this week though this past weekend celebs cross going into a different world was very interesting. This past weekend we add. Of course it wrestlemainia. We had bad. Bunny who is apparently the greatest wrestlers who ever lived us pretty good and then low and then logan paul who sold a stunner better than fifty percent of the world's could sell a her so yeah it was interesting day for celebs jumping into another world. Because it's it's unfortunate is this not paul dales retirement fight. Oh yes i saw that i. I didn't even realize partly it was on this card. So don't their rankings. Yeah yeah he is right popularity based. He's right above paul craig. And he's below on the top five though yawn. Glover dom ratchet and jerry. I'd probably i would throw for deem in the top five. I don't have any issue with that top-five either anyway. Once again stop biden gets really really bad. Magamed ankle is sitting seven. "How is coming back to What was before he before we kicked off so we talk a lot about pivoting and and being being visionary and thinking what he what does he want to be in one two three five years. So it's important to do that but we we from the one ones we then Find some issues within the organization. His head it depends if the if the executive wants to bring it to the group. Can he or she can. would meet monthly How many taylor in your grave now. I'd like to have a twelve. We've always been hovering around eleven but Helps you have a diverse group We've heard diverse We have for Let's see we have a company called party central. That's in in here with us Blackhawk datacom Is part of the group Steady construction cody steadily The gee whiz we have andrew robertson who has route energy. we did have roof of ruffin rodrigue. Unfortunately he passed. He was puerto rico group so met with a restaurant person in there. We have mark. Romero market is with brown and brown insurance so we have an insurance provider Then we move onto smaller gas guys We have Or energy services. Young man jason arsenal's outstanding. Then we have dane also sure Jason homa we have paul dales now and mark daniels. Both are going to be in the group Then we had Stewart foce stewart with the experts steel. Which is you know. He's still manufactory also has all the businesses with Related to two vessels offshore boats and things of that nature Then we have matt Matt say architect trade engineer by trade. He has a place in lafayette and in So you know matinee churches He's been off to any member group so we're pretty diverse. It's not it isn't just all gas we didn't want only oil and gas Because some of the best questions come from those who don't know our business right right so this group Eleven to twelve optimally. You guys meet periodically you meet with them privately. But then they bring together. I guess the synergy if you can talk about that like your through most of these businesses even if they are diverse they must hit some common walls. There must be some common threads in the in the conversation that you have with them. We've gone to learn no matter how diverse we are as a group. We all have similar issues very similar issues. in order to it's always round cash flow could be personnel could be the structured the organization You know it could be geographic location so when we look at the group In total they all feed off of one another and become extremely close but But the whole idea of the Of that is to process issues to talk boldly about what's happening with your business now. There's one part that we require one is in transparency. You've got to be very transparent bomb. You have to actually want to be part of the group and want the help and you and you have to be a bit We need to be tough. A fact is when we're having discussions you're going to be asked questions are going to make you uncomfortable. You may not like two questions but you know generally more often than not. It's it's an important question to be answered. So the group helps with that and wants to the the executive determines what path they might wanna take after that discussion group will support them in any way they can. The other key component does accountability..

I'm good for here is reading remembering what year i came out and the director doesn't three. You didn't know that. I also just love the cover. We're not talking about the cover. But i just love the cover like the poster or the actual like the cover. Yeah like growing up. I of him in the field. I swear though that. I haven't seen this movie but where i've seen like one slim piece of it while my dad was watching it and but i don't even know what piece but i know i've heard him watch it like heard the title big fish before as a human being but also stars Everybody you and we're gregor billy Just laying lane lane chinese How you say. I can say it in my head by our know. How fucking right. And helena bonham carter pretty much it all it matters. Why did you say your name like that. Are you say her name. Why did you say like that though. Didn't sound like a real name anyways read also has the girl from inception. Mo- forgot mall mall mall mal mall. Two hundred twenty end of the year is going to be so interesting. Because it's not just gonna be scarlett. Johansson symbol jackson because number of like most watched actor and actress. They're literally every movie so they're always at the top of everyone's list. I mean we've just watched two movies with steve Send me no. He actually came in an interview. His last name is actually sent me okay. We don't listen to him. Arianna garden said her all day. You it's only because her grandpa didn't wanna be italian. Who just wanted to whitewash. She wanted to be white and he said i am grandy. She has 'grande okay. The movie synopsis throughout his life. Edward bloom has always been a man of big appetites enormous passions and tall tales. In his later years he remains a huge mystery to ascend. William now to get to know the real man. We'll begins piecing together a true picture of his father from flash back flashbacks of his amazing adventures. Basically a liar. Bat movie of tall tales. Paul dales but the starbuck fairy tale type thing but indicated it. I didn't hate it. It's nick hated this shit. He said. I really don't wanna talk about this movie throughout through the like. Okay so yeah. The whole movie is basically just recounting and and going over. Edward bloom story tales and his big fantasies or whatever his exaggerated stories and halfway through the movie. It was getting kind of tiring. And i was like okay. You're a liar dude. Like shut up but then you start understanding why he's telling those stories and what the purpose of it is and why he's exaggerating them and stuff like that and then exaggerating them. 'cause sometimes life isn't that exciting not be exciting. It's not it's just better to be exciting exactly and that's why you just love this. So much is literally like your favorite movie ever. Apparently i to live in a dream world where i romanticized my for no reason. Also mercer loves Roll down a bunch of no. I have a lot of notes. I have a lot of thoughts. "After all that we we do tend to swing like a pendulum depending on the soundtrack. And whatever we're sean. We really do claire. I think she'll come out on top for sure based on his absence so claire. Chris offers her an opportunity to. She's just like she she. Yeah she's just like listen. I just want to spend time with guys who i want to be with a hope. That's not a crime. Chris is like you know what cool. Let's do it Chris chris really making some extra money this episode. Yeah i know. I gotta say he's really earning. That paycheck is doing the extra time constantly keeping people on the edge. The paul dale. Yeah stuff and so yeah. This is where blake being there. I almost i feel bad for blake but at the same time. Can't stand him in this episode. God yes. I agree with you one hundred percent. I feel bad from like knowing how that will works. And i'm sure they're just using every sound bite but he is this guy or it's just like well first of all you called it. Never trust blake's intuition. Hey never trucks blake's gut don't ask. Don't go to blake for advice because this guy has as a real real does seem like he's either not seen the show a lot before or let it get to him or both. I mean because some of those sound bites you could see it coming out of his mouth from beginning to end like it wasn't like it was franken bitten or anything. I agree he was he was a little like righteous and the speaking with a little too much authority. Yeah and it. It didn't really know someone who's been someone who got early attention from andy and caitlyn right. I've been very different situation. But i've been dale side before right and the blake reminded me so much of. I don't know if you remember on caitlyn season joshua who had the the gut intuition about me. Yeah he's just might guy intuition. He has guy intuition he said it is jealousy. It's just like these guys. I know there's a lot of good guys here. But dale isn't one of them based on. What like what. I so do. So do you think it is jealousy. Yes i mean i. I don't know no one knows dale these guys. Don't no one knows sale that that thing. We can agree on something so like i don't know if dale is a great guy or bad guy as a human being in this world right but i know that these guys don't know either. You know what i'm saying. Like what they know is that he's gotten all clair's attention he probably talks a little bit too much and gives himself gets himself in trouble. Whether it's nervousness or like overconfidence and it becomes. It comes across as unattractive to the other guys i get all that none of none of it says who is the person and certainly has compatibility for clare. Blake is sitting here being like. There's so many good guys here. That could be right for claire. I just know it's not dale. It's so insane. How he has no problem speaking for for dale you know in all blake also reminds me over. I really had a problem with the way he talks about like when when he comes in and they're making the switch and he's like i've he makes his comment about how he even looked up. You know what i think. alzheimer alzheimer's. Oh he bought like books and did research drove me nuts. It reminded me of all the guys out there who's saying they're not only that but it's like a step further like your obsession or desire or your willingness to do things for someone does not mean they owe you anything in return like the way blake set. It comes at a price. I did this for clare in clair's mom and she doesn't like me back you know he's like well. I did this for her so she and he didn't do that. Yeah and blake dale and do that for a real problem with that is if it was like this real undertone of like blake felt owed and i felt really uncomfortable. I mean i don't think it will come as no surprise that. I have a bit of a software. Take on it. But i mean i agree. I don't love the insinuation that because he had done his research that she owed him anything. I i definitely felt the frustration was more that they all fell a little gypped you know and especially blake because he was the only other know front runner. Well i mean a little bit. Yeah jason jason. Although i never really bought any tattoo chest guy. He was super angry. Yeah well can. You couldn't get any who asked claire to apologize again. These guys came on for that. Come out of his mouth. But yeah yeah i know i agree. It was a little much it was kind of like. Just let her let her be and ultimately he. She's not going. She's gonna end up with one person no matter what i get it. I think that their frustration was sort of built up around. Everything and there was so much. Just like heightened anxiety and just wondering what's next and they kind of let it out on her but i agree i don't love how blake spoke so authoritatively like you know she doesn't know him she's gonna get her heartbroken. This isn't going to work out. It's like oh get enough now. She she doesn't know any of that now are he. Doesn't know any of that. He doesn't know any of that. And i gotta say. I thought claire when when boy band dude demanded an apology. So you're saying like we didn't hear him. We didn't see his lips moving. I i watched the scene so many times. I just found it so weird that we couldn't see him. Say these things but we saw all the guys looking at him. I have to dissect that bit more. It doesn't audio sounds fine. It sounds like he said it in that moment. Well he certainly looked like a yeah. There was enough evidence to support the fact that he also twitter's reaction to it too right like finally her reaction added up. And i got really weird that we didn't see it. I was just like well. Maybe there just wasn't a camera on him. At that moment she handled that surprisingly love to dissect this. I thought claire handled that great right. I was not. I thought she'd go off. She's gonna lose it and thought she. She listened she. You know she could tell. She didn't like what he had to say. But you know but the previews made it. Seem like she was gonna lose her. Yeah and she didn't she was like i. I'm sorry you're right. Also apologize for this apologize for that. But i'm not gonna apologize for having feelings for nor should she and i thought she handled it reasonably. Well yes. I thought she. She did really well. Well listen. I put a new wine rack in my house and a guy thirty bottles. It's like an art piece. You have to fill it up with wine art. I want to have good wine and i. I'm getting all my wind from bright colors or most of it and the good thing is is they give you this information about your y and where comes what. Good what pairs with. I've been reading these little cards like and i sound really smart now when i when i drink it. I'm telling people about the line. I'm giving them. I sound so smart and it makes sense to buy me a lot of dinner parties lately but the times i have a friend..

"Reviews and check project cost guides at homeadvisor dot com. This is weekend. Addition from NPR news. I'm Scott Simon. There's been a disruption part of the US energy grid, and it appears to have been a I kind cyber attack it happened in March. We know about it because you Chile reported to the department of energy and that report caught the attention of Blake Sobchak of EDNA news. He joins us nurse studios. Thanks so much for being with us. Thank you for having me on the program. There was a disruption right in Utah, Wyoming and southern California, but not a power outage or anything that customers noticed. What affected have? That's correct. There was a disruption, but it did not lead to any blackouts a really as far as we know any halt in the flow of electronically. There what likely happened? Here was what's called a loss of visibility. There was a denial of service attack against some part of the utilities network infrastructure, and that basically led operators to not be able to see what was going on in the grid. So it's sort of like driving with blinders on if is nothing crazy happens, you should be fine. But it certainly constitutes a disruption in a reportable event here to the department of energy in a possible danger of usually it does pose a hazard, and that's why the department of energy actually requires utilities to report if they experienced cyberattack within one hour of the event itself. And so this is really the first time that we've seen a utility. Tell regulators at. At the at the department of energy. Hey hackers disrupted some of our operations. And in this case, again, it appears that was related to visibility as to what was happening on the grid there to know the utility. We do not know the utility what's interesting is this effected a pretty wide geographic area, Utah, Wyoming and California, southern California. And so there aren't too many utilities with that kind of geographic footprint, and I reached out to several and they all basically denied filing this report. And obviously no way of knowing if it were if the hackers were freelancers or or agents of a government or terrorist. It's really hard to say much about the hackers at this point. That's correct. Presumably the utility that was affected by this is investigating and is is really calling in perhaps the FBI to look at this. What we do know is that the type of attack that this was was what's called a denial of service, and it can be a little bit of a similar attack. So we don't know whether for instance. These were Russian hackers are sophisticated nation. State backed spies doing this. It really could have been somebody with a fairly rudimentary understanding of how to launch this type of attack. Now a denial of service attack works by flooding target networks with traffic. So that you can't tell what's legitimate from. What's not? So in the case of public website. A hacker might just bombarded with requests to visit that page until normal users can actually access it. So if you ever having trouble logging onto a site or accessing it, maybe that sites under under denial of service attack in this case, the denial of service exploited a particular vulnerability, so it was a little bit more targeted than that the hacker or hackers knew what they were doing. And we're able to actually find a particular flaw in this network equipment and send a certain type of packet or string of data to really make it stop working. There was of course, reportedly, and I guess twenty fifteen denial of service. Attack in Ukraine with leads went out of reportedly mounted by Russia. How susceptible is the US energy infrastructure grid? So it can be said about the US grid is it's an enormously complicated huge machine. A lot of people consider it to be the most complex machine ever built by humankind. And so that means there's a lot of resiliency built into it'd be very difficult to disrupt the grid and a big way from a cyber attack. However, we actually heard earlier this year US director of national intelligence, Dan Coats, warned that foreign hackers backed by perhaps nation states like China and Russia could cause localized temporary disruptions in US critical infrastructure to include the power grid. So I think what intelligence officials are worried about. And what utilities are potentially seeing is a small scale hack causing perhaps a temporary power outage. But nothing more which in and of itself is still certainly noteworthy alarming that our level of connectivity is such that hackers can have this power like Sobchak reporter for any news. "Check project cost guides at homeadvisor dot com and the listeners of K Q E D fifty one degrees. Currently in San Francisco. Some clouds and fog this morning, then becoming sunny little bit cooler sixties to low seventies along the coast at long this interdiction from NPR news. I'm Scott Simon. There's been a disruption part of the US energy grid, and it appears to have been a I kind cyber attack it happened in March. We know about it because you Tillery reported it to the department of energy and that report caught the attention of Blake Sobchak of EDNA news. He joins us nurse studios. Thanks so much for being with us. Thank you for having me on the program. There was a disruption right in Utah, Wyoming and southern California, but not a power outage or anything customers noticed. What affected it have? That's correct. There was a disruption, but it did not lead to any blackouts a really as far as we know any halt in the flow of electronically. There what likely happened? Here was what's called a loss of visibility. There was a denial of service attack against some part of the utilities network infrastructure, and that basically led operators to not be able to see what was going on the grid. So it's sort of like driving with blinders on is nothing crazy happens. You should be fine. But it certainly constitutes a disruption in a reportable event here to the department of energy and possible danger of usually it does pose a hazard, and that's why the department of energy actually requires utilities to report if they experienced cyberattack within one hour of the event itself. And so this is really the first time that we've seen a utility tell regulators. At the at the department of energy. Hey, hikers disrupted some part of our operations. And in this case again, it appears that was related to visibility as to what was happening on the grid. There do know the utility. We do not know the utility what's interesting is this affected a pretty wide geographic area, Utah, Wyoming and California, southern California. And so there aren't too many utilities with that kind of geographic footprint, and I reached out to several and they all basically denied filing this report. And obviously no way of knowing if it were if the hackers were freelancers or or agents of government or terrorist. It's really hard to say much about the hackers at this point. That's correct. Presumably the utility that was affected by this is investigating and is is really calling in perhaps the FBI to look at this. What we do know is that the type of attack that this was what's called a denial of service, and it can be a little bit of a similar attack. So we don't know whether for instance. These were Russian hackers are sophisticated nation. State back spies doing this. It really could have been somebody with fairly rudimentary understanding of how to launch this type of attack. Now a denial of service attack works by flooding target networks with traffic. So that you can't tell what's legitimate from. What's not? So in the case of public website. A hacker might just bombarded with request to visit that page until normal users can actually access it. Attack in Ukraine ledge went out reportedly mounted by Russia. How susceptible is the US energy infrastructure on grid? "Dr. West to southwest Ford forward highway at interstate twenty in Weatherford. And let's go to Bill a Jim in Dallas, excuse me. Thank you for older. Jim. Hi, Ed calling had a question about my in-laws are interested in or they think they need a new car. Yes, they're eighty they have a a eight or nine year old Hyundai a Sarah was seventy or eighty thousand miles on it. It's has done a great job for them. Yeah. Yeah. They they like it. I think they want a new car to drive them into their their sunset. So they're interested in. Hyundai sonata or a Toyota Camry. Okay. And so my question, and then I heard that previously your comments on the sonata. Which which of those would be the best for them. Be new four cylinder. Okay. Probably fully loaded. Okay. First thing. I assume they're up there, mentally sharp ambulatory one one really only one of them driving. So okay. That is correct. He is. And this is the issue that everybody everybody gets face with sooner or later is you get a certain age and your abilities can suffer fairly quickly. Correct. And a lot of people write me sue, I've got this arthritis. I got a bad back which is perfect and everyone reacts differently. You know is your arthritis in your hands. Is it in your elbow? Is it in your back? Do you have a problem turning your neck every cars different? But if they've had the Hyundai and they had the zero and they really liked it. Then I would think moving into the snotty would be the right choice. But we still only got one driving. That means we have some issues with the other. Yes. With the other. Yes. That is correct. Okay. So we have to get both of them in and out of the car. See how they react see if the doors to heavy for see if it's too far reached to get it to shot to see if there's any blind spots to them. You know, I the other day over the past few weeks, the neighbors up the street completely and totally remodeled their house rebuilt it. Really, right. Uh-huh. And the finishing touch was a little Walter. They put around which is kinda Q cinderblock than they put stucco on it made it look Spanish, and my wife, and I were driving. She said, you know, they build that wall. And it's not a very tall wall. She said, it's just a shade too. High. Can't see what's coming down the street, and I did want to say if you were six inches taller. Like, I am you can. You follow me? Yes. I did. It was a problem for her to see around the wall. But actually, I'm sitting there. I can see perfectly well down the street. So she's probably listening now. So I'm in trouble when I get home, but up to that point you need to take them out. And let them drive it and experience it, and you need to help them saying if you deteriorate slightly does this car still work for you? That's the issue. And that is a concern out of it. Well for both of them. But. The husband a retired doctor, and he's he's still has pretty much all of his faculties. And just kind of what's his wife moving into the dementia stages in Alzheimer's stuff. So well, a reminder that just a week ago. I did the story about John McCain's mother who's now hundred six. Yeah. But thirteen years ago, she was in Europe. And she went to rent a car, and they wouldn't rent her a car because of her age. So she went out and bought a per show to tour European. At nine hundred three. Yeah. It's nice to do. Well, hopefully, your father in law will do the same. I hope so too. But that okay. So you're really they're both good choices. But moving out of the the Sierra that's an automobile natural progression. Where do they live in Little Rock? Oh my gosh. Okay. I know I was telling the wife I keep looking up great places to retire in the worst states in America to retire. Right. And Arkansas has like showing up in state after state after state is the worst one of the worst states retiring. And I said yet, I know all my I've got lots of friends that have bought homes. They're returned Arkansas. The absolutely love it. So it just shocked in any case. Here's last -til. If you're going to help them do that, and they live in a Little Rock check, the quality of the dealers in Little Rock. They don't tend to have as good a reputation as the best of the best in Dallas Fort Worth. I understand that. And I I had told him that. I would certainly source it here for them. Wait, wait a minute. Jim. I'll tell you how to handle this Paul Dale rand off at HUD finds Hyundai in McKinney because Dale used to be with Franken many years ago went to work for national auto group, and he ran one of their stores in Little Rock. He could tell you in a heartbeat who the good dealers are there. Okay. They'll randolph. There you go. He's the GM at ha- fines McKinney fantastic. Thank you have a good weekend. There you go. My brain was still working near the end of the show, and that is actually becoming a rarity. Let's go to Bill and Graeme berry. Hey, bill. What's going on? Oh, just a little bit of rain a whole lot of rain. That's good thing. Well, that's good. Because a few years ago, you had no rain and day Cordova band, just became the band. God. Of course, you for you, my wife, and I recently retired last year. And our house is paid for and we are going to full time or v. It's not going to be with the bus is just going to be with the big old fifth wheel. And I'm going to buy probably within the next month or two probably a two or three year old. Really? To pool that already owned the trailer. No, okay. We will purchase. The trader is. No, I want you to hold. I'm gonna take a break because it's gonna take more than thirty seconds. Okay. Okay.
