"You guys have problems at the eye doctor. I do want to always look the same to me. And then we go back and forth. And then i guess i say you know what to and then we go to war and we go through the same thing and then the doctor gets mad at me and then i just kind of leave with whatever it is that i guess. My eyesight should be the guessing. Game is a dangerous game. There really is because picture is right. That's the thing is that. I feel i get self conscious about it and then i ended up just leaving with whatever prescription and then i get like a years worth of headaches because i just didn't wanna keep going back and forth with a doctor over and over again after the third. Let me see that one again. I just kind of make a gut decision and often. I'm finding that it's the wrong decision. From with ds and os same. They're is legit. The most annoying thing in history will go into the eye doctor and having to do that. Well there's more frustrating no no no. It is frustrating because your vision. It's worse my version is getting worse. Because i had to do that over and over and over again for the past thirty years yes. Racism is worth the second place. You're blaming charts. I chart as racially biased. Yes it is. Yes angry roy. Bellamy no I've had bad vision for a majority of my life. And it's getting worse and worse because of one thing that i will say to the medical i- professionals out there and i did not go through medical school but i will say this. I think that we need to have different. I charge and not show me the same one for both is because i remember what the letters are from one i to the next so then when you asked me. Can you read line number three. What letters are they. I know what it says because you just put the right lens on my eye. And i saw clear as day so then i have to either. Just say what it is. Even though i can't see it or i start making up letters and they're like well. How did you make an own to an accident. It's like well. Because i can't see. But i also know the letter so i need to say something dramatically different so that you know that i can't see your cheating the test now not cheating the test. No no no cheating him. I mean they're doing me a disservice doing a disservice. We need to change up the letters. Because i like many people can remember the letters from one second to the next if i were to give you five. Letters right now a. C. f. l. p. right. I don't remember what they were. But you probably would if i were to ask you. What were those five letters right. How do you guys feel about optometrist versus opthamologist. Which do you guys go to. I don't even know the difference. Me neither doesn't enough. The malla just do surgery. Isn't he rank above the optometrist. They get together laughed at the uptown up. Tamala just doing the tongue is right. An ophthalmologist is someone who can perform medical and surgical interventions for eye condition. Thank you and why did he. Who did he bribe to be the king litter of that chart excellent question though what you think. Technology has advanced past the chart. Because this is ridiculous. Billy i do actually know yes. I chart expert now. I love the idea of throwing into billy by name you have you have is billie. Tell us more glasses. So thank you roy. For reaching out to me on this i actually have an eye doctor that That i go to. I obviously have more than one doctor but actually have an eye doctor that i go to that has like the most advanced machines and the weight sometimes is extremely long but it will be a thing where you just go and it's not just look at the hot air balloon. Look at the hot air balloon and it like kind of focuses your eye for you but then there's like ten other machines they go and they just do and they sit down into the like one or two in the nascar where we kind of get into the dangerous game and i undo everything that the machines did for me so i think. The machines roy calibrated for decisive people. Who know what it is that they're asking but i am not an. I do all the work that the machines did. I want to bury billy here because of what happened to the marlins is last night. Put it on. The poll has wittingham at lebatardshow. Is there anything better in sports than when you're friends. "Is wires to short. I have to do something about that. Because i always danced during the breaks. And i'm like damn it. I can't i can't get up and dance. It's like the big fat greek wedding where she gets yanked by you get. Somebody didn't hear somebody. Put some kind of weird adapter in here in my head. For every time i move my wire falls off the table. And then go out. And if i if i if i tried to get the wire rolling over it and then unplug and then i missed like a good forty seconds so another jesmyn took it to social isolation that we gotta deal with this technology. New normal of dealing with headsets. And all that for for yeah. No i mean when i when i was in the iheartmedia studios. We always had an engineer right there. Now i get freaked out if it has been happening a lot lately. We fixed it. Paul castro fixed it but we had a lot of technical difficulties with a huge guests last week. And i thought i was gonna faint up here in my my studio you know but Yeah it is. It is very different and i. i'm so gregarious. You know. I love seeing people and chatting and all that and it's it's been a long year. It has and a lot of adjustments to be made by everyone right. Yes correct. Correct through you know. I think that that's where they're talking about the new normal that adjustment right we talked about like me kind of like avoiding someone walking down the hour and i think you see people doing that and in the past you may have been offended by but now you kinda understand like you get people that understand. Hey people still have to be comfortable. Even though i'm walking in the store and i may not have a mask on or things of that nature. You still have to make sure that you understand people. Different people are have different levels of come always consider. Hey that person have lost a family member or something as a result so they more or more. Hyper sensitive hyper vigilant to kind of what's going on around them We always have to be respectful of other people. You know that's how i was raised. So if you're supposed to wear a mask i wore. If it made somebody else feel more comfortable and lessen their anxiety You're doing the right thing. You know you can take it off as soon as you get out. If you're talking you know speaking of like going you know walking through a restaurant or you know to get to your table or going in the grocery store for thirty minutes. And it's just common courtesy and respect which i tell you don driving around the streets of dallas. Right now oh my gosh. I don't know if it's me but people have lost their minds. They are so rude. Like there's more the road rage is up and there's all kinds of crazy stories about the. Did you hear the story. And i guess it was in fort worth with the motor guy on the motorcycle that oh my gosh. Like what the heck what is going on. you know. I think that again we talked about what does fear due to you. Fear essentially kinda makes everyone in enemy right this motion just kind of always on edge. I think you have a lot of people who whether they setting the house for a whole year. I literally have clients that stayed in the house the whole year. They did all their grocery shopping. You know kinda have people dropping them off and things of that nature so they're really just being exposed to people and those social norms those social choose that typically kind of indicate to us that maybe we're okay or not okay. A lot of people are missing that and again you know when when it when it all fails and we can't process things in our brain anymore where he goes to fight flight freeze and i think that that our natural instincts are are are primitive instincts. Kinda take over and basket you. She are happening now. You know we see in the for whatever reason we're seeing more violence we're seeing more craziness and i think bats one of the unfortunate unfortunate aspects of being isolated for so long. It's caused people to kind of act out in different ways. Everybody loves the movie castaway with. Tom tom. I don't you don't you don't know that movie could have been done in thirty minutes if it was. If they would've par words. It would have been a thirty minute movie. Oh my god this is black not. I thought that was one of his worst movies ever now junior. Tell us how you feel really. i'm. I'm a movie buff. I hate that movie tom. Hanks hate that one. I love you man and our relations. Sorry man why. That movie was phenomenal. Because it shows you what happens when people are forced to be isolated by themselves. We social relationships are so important to the fabric of who we are. We need social relationships for survival. If you think about tribes they need other members of the tribes back in the day to help them like. Hey there's an animal come in danger. You need people to help you survive. You need people to make you feel safe in saying we use people as kind of feedback feedback loops to make sure we're seeing will receive. Burning is driving down the street and burns like hey you see that plane. The plane looks like you know it's a little low to the ground. And and i'm like yeah. Burn she looks. She's out the window and other people are looking that socialization just from looking at other people makes us say. Oh i'm not crazy. That plane is really going down. So when that's taken away from you you find yourself not really being able to trust what you're thinking what you're seeing and it can cause you a lot of emotional distress emotional distress. Yeah well and i i. i didn't i. Didn't i don't have my tv on. But i certainly would not did not have it on during During the covid nineteen crisis during twenty. I just that's how people get really fearful. You know you start stirred in the pot. It's a it's a it's a collective consciousness fearful it's it's a real energy that is out there and you can feel it and other people you can. I mean. do you agree with that duan. Have you ever studied that. You're i. I think that not personally. I've been got reds as i mean when you talk about kind of mob mentality now think about mama taliban how it works right. You pick up on the behaviors of the mall behaviors and experiences of the mob. So when we talk about fear so much of how we live. It's kind of been fear mongering to a degree. It doesn't just happen when it comes to politics. That happens when it comes to life like meeting people neighbors. Why don't introduce yourself to your neighbor anymore. What have you been able to cycle why you don't let your kids play outside eating more. But what if they get kicked out things of that nature so so much of the fabric unfortunately of who we are have been conditioned to be scared of things to be here the people and now you're starting to see the results of that because people the only thing that they did for nine months ten months sit back and watch the news and see the numbers of people dying and number two people getting sick and it caused them to have this this of hold on. I'm no longer safe. i no longer neck myself. And the government can't protect me either. So then what. What do i do right right. Well in all the other political madness. Oh my gosh. Like everyone was trying to figure out. Well not me. But because i could care less what political party you're affiliated with. I don't care. I'm going to you know i'm going to embrace you as a fellow human and not decide whether or not i'm gonna love you or hate you based on what your political stances and i think that caused so much. Oh my gosh. I don't even know what the word is for it. So much. chaos in this country. Yeah well you know. It's kind of that identity politics. What side of the fincher on. And i think what happens is i only can help you. If i feel like you're on my i would cove it. Talked about the kind of the mob mentality right. You had people literally going by all the tissue paper in the outdoors. I see people trying to give away hand sanitizer now because they just stocked up on too much. You see it on facebook marketplace all the time got tons of hand sanitizer if you need it so people are crazy crazy. But we're going to break. We're going to go crazy break. I wished i. I'll say this i'm going to quote don henley here one of my favorite songs the heart of the matter. We all need a little tenderness. How can love survive in such a graceless age. We need to think about that. We'll be right back. Everyone stay tuned. You're.
