"The knee but realizing what's out there in Kansas City with Patti mahomes. You need to know who to competition is not only in in your division but in your conference if you're GonNa go to the Super Bowl so I believe yes. He was forced to be able to release a be and the reason why Tom Brady because I don't believe anyone's going to ever be able to rival Tom. Brady is to go because the support that he's had with craft and with ballot check in that teen but let me tell you what they haven't supported him. They they haven't always supported him with talent. Last year. We talked about thirty something receivers from the spring until the fall revolving door in with the greatest quarterback average yeah. I know you got a great defense. I know you got a great special teams but they have not in certain periods of Tom. Brady's career done him any favors and Antonio Brown at this point in his career where the last two Wednesdays and Thursdays he's been limited in practice because of a sore cab. Give demand something giving something to work with and and that's what we're trying to do with the wholesale chain zone at offensive line. They need weapons that can defeat press on the outside. They don't have that outside a Josh Gordon so for me. I believe that Leslie Frazier and the Buffalo Bills. He's the defensive coordinator there. They have put together game plans that have been successful against New England when they had better lines. It comes through that offensive line putting pressure on Tom. Brady make him throw before he wants to throw. I knew we keep talking about. Tom Brady's resilience. How old is how everything everything just works out for the Patriots next man up. Don't worry they'll bounce back no matter what but what you brought up something interesting yesterday. You're not glossing over that calf injury by by Tom. Brady you're not glossing over the the fact that the Patriots brought in Cody Kessler another quarterback and had to let someone else go from the roster. How concerned are you and what does that mean go into no one takes better care of the fifty three man roster and Bill Belichick so there is no person on his roster that doesn't have a specific purpose for what they're trying to do and I know they don't have a future for Cody Kessler but what they do is a right now. I need you to be able to take a certain number of staff snapped in practice. That is totally against what Tom Brady would typically want to do. He is a practice hall is getting every snap that he's out there. He loves pranks outdoors. He loves that part of football and that's made him great. Why would you have him on the roster. If you don't think he's some prospect you can develop that shows me that third that they know that this issue with Brady in his care. It's not something they can take lightly so yes. It brings up my concern. When you look at the offensive line the deplete offense online they can use an extra offensive uh-huh linemen compared to an extra quarterback. Tom Brady is the greatest ever. If there wasn't a concern there. Why would you have another arm in your camp in your bill in the depleted offensive line is going to play an enormous factor in this weekend's game if this were a playoff game which it would if it were applied game. I guarantee one thing it wouldn't be in Buffalo. It'd be being played late in New England but if it were a player you'll be the smartest guy in football too because you like nick right predict the buffalo bills making the plan and they have but if if this were a playoff game then brady would look at these defensive linemen and say tonight..

"Keep away right you limit the possessions you take the air out of the game and forces you to make sure that you score on on those possessions you have one turnover in the game flops and then you go down by two scores game over but does this mean. Maybe Shady McCoy changes just a little bit does do we see a little bit more of damn well. I'm high on Shady McCoy yeah. He's a phenomenal football player. WHO's in a system that fits him. Andy Reid is not getting ready to hand it to shady McCoy between the tackles and say hey. Hey Big Fella going there and make something happen know. He's GonNa put him in space. He's GonNa put him with linebackers. This is the best offense the shady's ever been on many always gotTa play his fifteen to twenty plays the game matched up against linebackers in space then I do all these things with these wide receivers hit him on inside zone with Patti Mahomes James. This is a dangerous often shady McCoy. He decided to go to a perfect spot for him. So now tire Kiel Week number two I look for Shady McCoy you continue in. Andy Reid can build build on the number of plays. He played number one. You want to get them touches right. You Wanna get shade space. You want to get him screens. You WanNa give them screens draws and a mixed conception about shady's he can't run between the tackles he runs between attacks would assume see breaks the second level. He's going to bounce it and get those long young large yards one one point right though you said that is a team where if you have even down to scores game over that flow that flatly not the case the chiefs last year weren't down to scores often but in the Patriot Patriot Games. They're down to scores halftime. Both Times took the lead in both of those games they if you if they were built the opposite if you're a team where you have to hold a team to seventeen to win you can get down ten and feel like you're dead the chiefs last year and I- offensively they are very similar could be down fourteen fifteen points as they were against the Super Bowl Champs and and the offense can come back because you're on the turnover while bad defense. We don't know of how much that has changed. You were also one turnover being forced away from from getting back to back possessions and if you score every time you have the ball you can be right back in the game. They're not like a typical explosive offense because they have such big big play play capability. They can have three plays and have a touchdown and next thing you know you're back out and you get three out and get the ball back totally opposite of everything. You've experienced everything newspapers defense. We get everything I've experienced has been offense is going to win this by being on those offensive teams. I realized when that team had the ball regardless regardless of what kind of respect you gave them tick tick tick tick men that clock. We're fighting against the clock every single game because we don't have the help of a defense art. Thanks so much for joining us the Vikings coming off a twenty eight twelve win over the Falcons pins on Sunday. Thanks in large part to Adam feeling you've got the scoring started with a first quarter touchdown and we welcome in the Star Wide Receiver now Adam Good morning morning. Thanks for being with us. Thanks for having me. Hey there's no better way to start the season off than a win in the way you guys did it over a good team. In the Falcons Tau good did that feel. How important was that for the organization? Yeah feels good like you said a great start. Obviously you go through training. GAM you go through. OJ's and and you do all that and and you're just kind of preparing for that week one and it's a long process if felt good to be back out there at their teammates and kind of show we can do a little bit but we have a long way to go and now we're focused on Green Bay Adam. I'm so glad to have you on the show. You always know that you're one of my favorites and everything in your great example of hard work discipline in it being paid off. We got a lot of diva wide receiver news going around the League. I'm so glad that my vikings receivers aren't uninvolved in that. I'm so glad. ABC's not there now. I know diz got a little diva in now. Biggs told me on the slot this guy right here. He got a little inning but not as much is myself. Are you wearing a watch this weekend because my partner over here has been telling people all morning it's okay to watch. It's okay. It's okay. We'll you having watch when you go to Lambofield this weekend. Well we'll digs actually holds me back from being too big a diva so he's got my back on that but I don't know it depends on depends on what company is going to promote US and give us a good watch to wear. Thank you Adam that is a great answer and now I'm going to get to the football great job very often. You can have forty three receiving yards and that's nearly half your teams receiving yards and you guys win going away. I thought I was watching Chris's old Ohio State Buckeyes. We're GONNA throw the ball eight to ten times and just grind it out. It was a very different game for you guys great game because of how you dominated any time possession how you dominated the how you dominated the falcons throughout how different was the start of this season too when you think the beginning of last year when you guys aired it out as much as any any team in football and tell me about that approach going into the year yeah. It's a lot different but at the same time for us. We don't really care as as long as we're winning ball. Games doesn't matter how we get it. Done you know we're going to have games like this where you have a ton of rushing attempts and and you're able to run the ball efficiently so you don't need to pass ask but there'll be other games. We'll have to throw the ball to win. wop To convert key third downs and we'll have to we'll you know we'll have a tough time running the ball so teams are gonNA. Lookin are run game when when you have an explosive guy like Delvin back there and that's when we have to make sure that we're prepared and ready to make plays in the passing game. How much will you guys is actually lean on him now that he's healthy moving forward. Well I mean you you saw it on Sunday. I mean he such an explosive player. He's such a great great teammate and and he can do so many things you not only as a great running back but you can also spread out and you can catch the football as well so we're very fortunate. He's on our team and there's no doubt we're GONNA RIDE HIS Co.. We're going to be we're going to be you know keying heavily on on him and relying on him to to help this team get to very want to be a feeling as vikings fan. I'm very very fortunate. Last season you guys ellipse one hundred catches first time in Vikings team history and man records up servite. They're hard to break. They've had some pretty good receivers. What are you in digs talking about going into this year. That would allow the team. We know they want to run the ball but how you guys would play to improve to get you back into the playoff hunt. Yeah you know I think digs and mindsets always been very similar and we talk about a lot. We're going to come out here. We're going to do our best. Whatever place call we're going to go win and we even if we know we're not getting the ball. We're going to show that we can get open and that that that were open on every place so the coaches the quarterback our team has confidence that that if we do need to throw it that will be open in that will be ready Eddie so that's kind of our mindset. We're going to try to win on every rep and and and prove that that we can do that at a high level weekend and we got a couple of things about this weekend skins game against the Green Bay packers first of all Chris's said when you play for the Vikings when you get the schedule one of the first things you're looking at is what month are we playing in Green Bay so I'm sure a bit of a relief for you that it's early as opposed to late but maybe more importantly there on national TV to start the season so they get a few extra days to prepare for you guys and you have to have seen a drastically new and improved packers defense as opposed what we've seen in recent years your thoughts on the challenges oranges. The packers can propose from a defensive perspective this season yeah. It's a totally different look than they had. The past. Few years may have have guys on the outside that are aggressive. They have a lot of guys mixing in that they kind of keep them fresh and healthy and they have some veterans do that that have played a lot the football so they understand the game they understand route concepts things like that so they have a lot of guys that have a lot of experience in this league and it's going to be a good challenge us for us so we're excited about that. We know that it's going to be there's no easy games in this league and especially when you're playing Aaron Rodgers and obviously like you said the new and improved defense so should be a good challenge for us and we're excited to start preparing for that no easy games and noisy teams in your division. The NFC north is a good competitive additive division this year. Who Do you see as your biggest challenge or do you think it's the packers. The bears who has look at is your biggest challenge yeah. We were talking about that the other day. Just you know watching some of these games. We're able to pretty much watch all the teams in our division because they played a different time so there's there's some really good football players and some really good teams in our division and I I don't i. Can't you know it's week one. You can't really say who's the best but we know we're going to have a challenge college weekend and week out and we got to play those guys twice each each team twice so we know we're. GonNa have a challenge. We know that we are prepared. We know how important these divisional games are. Well Adam. You know this. I'm jealous for several reasons one. You're playing with my favorite team number two if I come back for one game I gotta play in. US Bank thing stadium number three man that type of money that the wide receivers but by the way that's no big deal but my favorite place to play if it wasn't US Bank stadium would would be in Lambofield explained. The sports fans what you're getting ready to experience Sunday. When you play a pack in Lambo Yeah Yeah. There's no doubt anytime somebody asking where's my favorite place to play other than US bank. it's definitely Lambeau I mean there's really nothing like it is not necessarily how loud it it is because it's not the loudest stadium but I think it's just the the field you know. It feels like football bleachers in the stands like what. NFL Fell Stadium has bleachers and as far as like advertisements. There's not a whole lot of advertising. It's pretty much everything is green and gold so it's a very unique place. It's a very cool place and a very fun atmosphere as a as a football player to plan you guys had such a potent rushing attack on Sunday that kirk cousins got in on the action in six cares for four yards not very impressive average however a very impressive touchdown touchdown celebration from Kirk cousins and you are prominently featured in this this. Can you walk me through what we're seeing here and the inspiration and the choreography that went into this back. Adam give us details well. I is very intrigued by our dance moves mostly digs but we all kind of mix in some that that we like and so he gets very intrigued and he wants to learn them and then wants to do them on the field so I was a little caught off guard that he was. GonNa pull it off week one but it was a good dance pulled it off but that was that was all credited digs. That was his dance move. I see rookie singers coming in there then he sees you guys dance and he's like like no. We're GONNA sit out on this yeah. We gotta keep up the pace because I don't think he's ready for what he's what he's in for or was far as our celebrations go all right. Adam we thank you so much for joining us all the best of luck to you this weekend with the packers and for the rest of the season after getting up early to spend some time with class act the difference between class and send you one of them watches Adam. "For all those reasons kinz plus edelman and we know what element is we. We know what is upper bounded but we also know where does lower bound is. He's a low ceiling very high floor player. Yeah all the receiving core for the pats. Pardon me and jacoby myers. The undrafted kid has been good throughout this preseason. Have you ever reason to believe it could be a strength but damaris donnas also could look like he looked pre achilles and how most guys look post achilles which is not very good. Josh could do what he's done. Each of the last is five years which is not the available and nikiel harry as a first round pick. Belgium hadn't taken wide receiver for quarter-century almost he he didn't play much. The preseason could be hard for him to even crack the rotation. If you will so yeah i i think it could turn into an asset for them if everything hits but if it doesn't then it'll be tom brady trying to make magic with limited talent out there. You're right on the money. Look <hes> der gifts for this team no question about it from josh gordon to damaris various thomas and you're right naked his body just banged up for some reason and so if they can get him on the field that's if but if all those things work in in their favor we've seen brady work magic with mediocre received course for most of his career. This is beyond mediocre this is i mean if almost it's gordon could be great. Tom brady element is a great slot receiver thomas because you've got those other other two guys not to mention harry. There won't be that much attention. He's forth right so he could be good as the fourth best receiver and i do think harry when he gets healthy is going to be very good so yeah. I think they are a bit underrated. If all those things working even if all those things work out you still have questions happens on that offensive line and that's going to pose problems for tom brady and thus the receiver just real quick on that jenner th because of the problems on the offensive line. I think the receiving core could be more important horton than we first thought because the problems on the offensive line to me could show up more in the running game than in the passing game. I expect brady be able to get the ball sands quickly no matter what we had said a few weeks ago. It's going to be a power running. Team will now. They don't have their center. We know they've got to tighten suspended plus. The loss of gronk isaiah win was a first round pick but we've we've ever seen him play in the n._f._l. So i think you can if you have a kind of put together offensive line. You can make it work easier with talented receivers. I didn't necessarily ask him sony michelle care the twenty five tonnes sir all right. Let's move on to the reigning m._v._p. And patty mahomes coming off a five thousand yard fifty touchdown season rumblings of regression started to creep into headlines but our friends over at fox pet have mahomes currently listed as the favorite to win m._v._p. Again the season a couple of guys named breeze brady and rogers so bussard houdini think wins the m._v._p. I know it's rare to repeat as m._v._p. "Where does that productivity come from in a once every generational type talent? He has seventy five attempts Travis Kelsey had fifty six of those temps. And this where the problem comes not with the seventy five in the fifty six but the next player, Chris Connelly only had fifteen. So where do they change their who is the target? How do they get this productivity because they will not have the number of touchdowns. They had last season. Man defense is will change in. I believe what they'll keep doing this. They're going to blitz Patrick Mahomes, they're going to put pressure on him, what he's going to see this year, people are going to start doing like Brett farve guy like to compare them to them. They going blitz him off his rights. I don't blew him off his left and forced to his right. Watch the highlights watch. How many highlights come with Patti Mahomes, move into his right? Just carving up the defense. So I'm star blitzing office. Right. I'm forcing to his left, so. So then when he throws the ball, I can get closer to him. So those are just he's going to have to make coach. And I'm really interested to see how he deals with expectations expectations are tough. And when you saw him in the playoffs and he had a good playoff run, but he was sacked eight times. And he's only sect twenty six times during the course the whole season, he sacked eight times in two games because he's trying to make plays is that how he's going to go into this season, where it's constantly trying to make plays trying to press the ball downfield making decisions because he's so confident with his arm that he shouldn't make and putting the team and difficult spots or is he going to be able to take a step back and say, okay, this, this is in the playoffs. It should be noted. I think one of the reasons he was sacked eight times was because he was not going to take risks with the football zero giveaways, in those playoff games where you can also throw the ball out of monk. Absolutely. But there is there's an element of you with Mahomes, it is prove it prove it. And once you prove it, prove something else, not throwing the ball, not turning the ball over in the playoffs executing that amazing comeback in the second half against New England that your defense, couldn't hold onto all those things or super realm and going all the things that franchise quarterbacks have to prove a never get beyond it. Can you handle the success at every level? It's always can they handle the success Payton Brady goes to it every year? Aaron rodgers. How does he at all the big events, Patty Mahomes was that final four big gains? He was he was all around America meant enjoying this off season. How does that translate into season? Number three, coach, thanks for being here today and this week to Enjoyed enjoy. it..

"I just forget what he's done over these last month and a half. I last season happened the Houston Rockets of last season win a championship in ninety percent of NBA season that have had right? They they were positioned to win that championship. Even after Chris Paul got hurt if they just miss twenty threes in a row is that of twenty seven threes in a row, they go over twenty. They go to the NBA finals think beat LeBron and the Cavs. So there there is I think some I don't want to say, I don't think it's jealousy from cobaine. These other guys I think it's people don't really wanna respect hardened style of play the free throws and the enormous volume of threes. And so they tried to pick away at it. When the numbers say it his team has been playing its best year since he started playing like this and he's going to win the MVP playing. My only pushback on that conversation is. Harden in Houston. They're not the same player or the same team. So Kobe was right as they sit now in as he's playing now he can't win that way. I'll use it now g of the NFL. He's like Patti Mahomes homes on fire all year. He could want us to bo- this year because you've got to win one game when one game then you advance but in a series like they lost New England. But you'd think in the series knowing the wanna play them in no series two out of three three out of five. No because New England is not going to beat Kansas City in those number game. So harden in a series can't he do this? And like they were last year. They didn't have the same team. They didn't play the same way. Hardens got the ball far more in his hand this year. So we're making two different comparisons. But James harden Cam win the championship 'cause you said in ninety percent of all the seasons. We and it wasn't his they would've fan hamstring. Paul hardened did his deal now hardens elevated his game. So I'm giving him respect not only what he did last year. But then this year because of injuries because of free agency he's elevators game. And that shouldn't be discredited. We should look at that and judged on its own mercury. Agreed it he does Chris Paul to come back and contribute more. If they're gonna have been in in era of the warriors don't ask no question unless you realize oh my goodness Steph curry, let's go K D. Let's forget about boogie clay drizzling. We're in an era that a lot of styles. Wouldn't when you know, you can't run triangle? You can't bring Pat Riley back here and play against Golden State man, you need the bodies you need all star players on a roster. So for me, let's not forget Golden State because we can criticize everyone LeBron. You can't play that win win a championship now either because he needs other stars. I let's get back to the Super Bowl. Now's a tough game for Jared Goff. The. Moment appeared to be a little too big for the Rams third year quarterback who threw for just two hundred twenty nine yards in pick his high flying offense scored only three points Goff said after the game. What really stinks for me, especially as a quarterback is that our defense played so well, and I wasn't able to deliver. It was me. It was our offense. And we well, I couldn't do my part. It wasn't a game. We needed thirty points to win. We need a two touchdowns. And I couldn't get it done. That's on me..

I think this is not a losses are created equal. And after the first half looked like chiefs, we're going to get blown out and to comeback to take the lead to have the game. One with that interception to only see your star pass rusher lined up off sides, and then come back again and tie the game to only knocked the ball in overtime. This is a double summit punch like this is this is about as bad as loss as get. Oh, we hurt if I guarantee you can get back in that position. They were in perfect position with Patti Mahomes MVP type regular season would the defense. Be good enough to defense had performed better at home. They let them down in the championship game when they really. Need especially in that first half not been able to get off the field to the patriots to despite the Rams winning Todd Gurley. Didn't have a great game. What are we on time? Only carry the four times dropped to passes leading many to wonder if he might be injured after the game Gurley said he wasn't hurt. Just that he had a sorry performance. See you buying that. He had a sorry performance and wasn't injured. He was sorry. It's just a matter. Was he sorry and her? Because he didn't look good is body language was bad. That's the only answer for him not being out there. They'll say all they were going with the hot hand midtown early. It's hard to imagine someone having a hotter hand him. And after the rest he looked better in last week's game. I think he had a setback in practices or in the game last. What was shocking to me is at the very end of the first half. When he scored that touchdown that really got the Rams back in the game. I thought okay come second have girlies going to be used a lot. And then he wasn't that when you say his body line, which is bad. I didn't think he was being a bad teammate on the sideline. He just looked down on language being bad mean? And when the ball came to him on a check. Yes. Okay. That he looked like he was soprts. Right. You didn't mean on the sideline. I thought you meant when he was out of the game. Because I thought out of the game. He was he was didn't look like a player who had been benched and was upset about it looked like a player who knew why he wasn't out there. And was just there rooting for his team. Finally, despite the loss jewelry said he'll be back for the. Twenty nine thousand nine season. He did however add quote, I'm not getting any younger Nichols saints blow their Super Bowl window. Oh, not they're super window like as long as you've got drew Brees and Sean Payton. And Marshon Lattimore Michael Thomas, Alvin Kamara you're going to be there but much like the canned City Chiefs. You do not know that you'll be the one seed again, you do not know that you will get to this point in the season as healthy as they did you don't this last year, they had excellent chance. But last year, they're going to have to do it the hard way they were going to have to do it by going on the road and the second round then going on the road in the third round. And last year took the Minneapolis miracle prevent them from getting to the third round this year's very different who is the easy path homefield abai up thirteen nothing early have multiple chances to this game, including after the blown call the ball and overtime. And drew Brees. Throws an interception like, so no, they're windows. Not closed windows still open, but will. They they were these Super Bowl favorites. Twenty four hours ago. Will they be the Super Bowl favorites with four teams left again and drew Brees career? The odds say probably not they blew tremendous opportunity. But the last month of the season they didn't play great football week number seventeen. They rested. Their starters of the four teams that were left in the playoffs..

"And one reason why because when Dan was coming up. There was a lot of quarterbacks around the same age is Dan that being Montana that being Jim Kelly in his own division. Those things also from an organizational standpoint, I believe the Kansas City Chiefs. We'll have a better defense than Dan Marino, hats, a little hint hint. If you don't want his career to end like Dan Marino, put a little defense. What about a little running game around him? Also, even though they were playing in great weather. So I believe Kansas City will support their quarterback. I believe when Dan came into the league, it was very very unique time with Kelly going the four Super Bowl Montana winning four Super Bowls those quarterbacks basically in the same era that you playing in. I was very impressed with Patti Mahomes. I was very impressed that he didn't force a mistake, given the rush and duress that he was under this. Defensive front. You don't think with this Kansas City chief team that they're going to cause them problems that being New England, but their front seven caused Kansas City blocking the Simon problems. We're Patty Mahomes have more people in his face and his decision making. I thought was great. I thought also in trying to chase down New England. He didn't make the spectacular play. He made enough plays. And when there wasn't something there, he got rid of the football. So this wasn't a game that he was going to complete seventy five percent of his passes. No because he was getting rid of the football. No one. But I'm gonna take care of the football. His arm talent is without question. Now his game management. And we're the other things they decide because there will be another team that will take tyreek hill out of the game. What do they do then? And I think absent of a running game. They miss Kareem hunt in this game more than any game that we've seen since he was kicked off the squad. See to your point about. The defense about the chiefs need to address the defense football outsiders had this number. It's jarring. This was the third game this year that Patrick Mahomes has trailed in the fourth quarter lead a comeback drive. Only to have his defense than blow the lead. It took Tom Brady two hundred and eleven starts for that tap into him three times. It's happened to Patrick Mahomes the first game against the patriots the game against the Rams and the game against the patriots again. So the two Super Bowl teams Patrick Mahomes trailing in the fourth quarter lead his team to the lead. And in the defense could not hold it. That is that's the bitter and the sweet of this season for the chief season two sweet is that he could do it. The bidder is the defense couldn't hold it. I thought the ultimate compliment was after battling with Brady toe to toe throw for throw play four play Tom Brady in the euphoria of I'm going to my knife Super Bowl. What is he want? Wanna do? You. Don't wanna go to DisneyWorld. He tells his people I wanna to go to Kansas City's locker room. I want to congratulate I wanna see Patty Mahomes. His face. And I want to congratulate him before I missed this moment. So we should recognize who Pat him a home is because the greatest football player in quarterback Tom Brady, he recognize it after that game after he escaped Arrowhead getting that win over Patty Mahomes in the chiefs DisneyWorld story, but I'm not going to tell you now very much. I'm taking another time time now for put a great on its sponsored by carmax sticking with Patrick Mahomes and his nearly three hundred yards and three touchdowns in the loss. Nick, put a great. I'm a homes performance any minus eight triple plus in the second half did everything you could ask for him was the only quarterback this week and not to turn the ball over the first half though that Sacchi took right before halftime that knocked him out of field goal range. Yes. That was a big play. The pats getting seven points on their ninety yard drive. So I'm waiting at towards the second advocates added seem position when multiple times eight minus for me, I'm gonna give him a b because his team loses and early in the game. Not only the sat, but he missed a running back wide. Open for a touchdown. Yep. So you could see a little bit nervous. Didn't have the opportunities. Didn't have the team support number around..

"I assume you agree with me because there's no other logical answer. Like, what are we talking about here? It's the chiefs too ridiculous question shouldn't have made the television show best remaining offense. It's gotta be chomping. Dare not new. It's gotta be break. Numb telling you what that crowd control drew Brees that running attack. We know they're going to run the ball with those two running backs. Yeah. I switched it up on earth. That's how we doing. It. We've flexible on the siding with the saints because I believe that drew Brees. He loses the MVP, but he wins it in this off season by getting his team to the Super Bowl this year. Son discount be do we trying to predict what say thing is more fun than throwing him off? That's my favorite pastime. You don't make it this far in the playoffs without great head coach and great quarterback play. And these matchups are proof of that. See the best quarterback head coach combo remaining in the postseason is blank. Mill all the coaches have on the FEC on their quarterback. We have Josh mcdaniels oh in New England who's really communicating the Tom Brady. So it's not necessarily Bella check the greatest of all time. I'm going with Patti Mahomes and Andy. Read Nick, put up some numbers earlier this week as far as Bella check has tenure in this league. No one has score points against him. Like, Andy Reid, and Patty, Mahomes is the best quarterback that we have and in a pill. That combination is the best combination remained in the playoff. Unlike the previous question, you got this one exactly the chiefs are in this position because of their offense and their offense revolves around two people with respect to Tyree kill Damian Williams cream aunt when he was there. Travis Kelsey, two two people are Andy Reid who scheming and up and Patty Mahomes who is delivering the football to every quadrant of the field from every arm angle imaginable. They are in a weekend with some amazing quarterback. Coach combos they are the band. Didn't Sammy Watkins bag has the number three option in offense. That's that's fairly impressive early birthday present to I wore my chiefs red just for you. Thank you wolf told the staff this morning, you weren't there yet. Hey, guys, my birthday's coming up. "So Jane's, Devon Sony. Michelle on the field. I believe they'll do different things than what they've done. Throughout the season during the season. Tony Michelle's on the field. They run at seventy six seventy six percent of the time. Bob, set the defensive coordinator, he will be keyed into that. So I believe that that right there in that Kansas City defense that plays better defense winn-. They're at home you need to realize that in bake that into the question when you think who's going to win this game. So I know people are going to focus on the two offenses, and they should this is the best offense in football third-best NFL history and the chiefs and the fourth highest scoring offense and football. So what I to me the keys which defensive game plan can couldn't fuse or get off schedule these prolific offenses. So for the patriots. It's very simple can you confuse Patrick Mahomes. We've been hearing all year long, Mahomes, the Maury plays teams are going to film on they're going to be able to see give him coverages years and seen before. No one's yet been able to solve this riddle. But now Bella check has the advantage of getting to face him for. Second time. Bella check has more film on the homes than anyone who's played against him. Because this is obviously the latest in his career it is. And he knows that when they played in week six they actually had success when they were in man-to-man concepts and he torched them in zone concepts. And it's mattress week six. He was thirteen to fifteen against zone coverage. One of those incompletions was a drop hit a perfect passer rating nearly two hundred yards passing the interceptions. He threw where man to man, and it will. And when they got pressure on them wasn't man to man on the flip side of that can the chiefs cover long enough to let the pass rush get home. I thought there was a very telling moment between Joey Bosa and Tom Brady in the chargers game mic'ed up moment and Bosa came to the sideline and just said man, he gets the ball out so fast. It's remarkable. Bosa was frustrated Bosa said to Brady about him getting the ball. So fasten Brady said I got to your comment. And so we know. The lead the NFL and sex Tom Brady mention that he's very aware of it lead, the NFL strips X, we know they have an elite pass rusher on each edge in Houston and Ford and up the middle and Chris Jones that doesn't matter phrase getting the ball out in less than two seconds. So can you cover long enough to let the strength of your defense? It's front four front seven get home. Those to me will be the two biggest keys in determining which great offense is able to maintain the season-long greatness. It's exhibited follow up on something. You mentioned earlier on the predictability of what Bill check might wanna do Nikolai or said if it was time kill and not cream hunt. That was out of this Kansas chiefs offense. This would be totally different. It is tyreek hill and you seen what Patrick Mahomes to tie kill looks like how much easier is it for Tom Brady to be unpredictable at the line knowing how quickly he can read defenses and how well he can quarterback that offense as opposed to someone like Patrick Mahomes, if they try to do it, you know, they're going to. Kill you know, that that's going to happen. More than the run how much easier for the for the patriots to do that. Then for the chiefs team on the road. It happens to be the crowd noise. Football's a game of communication, and when you can't communicate it hinders you ability to play at your maximum. When Tom Brady's at the line. He will not be able to get to the whole playbook will be that noisy. He knows that they have an abbreviated playbook. Those a reason why the greatest franchise that we know the New England Patriots. Why they struggle on the road. And this year's team has struggled more than any of the other championship caliber team. So to think that that's not going to happen in this game. It is going to happen. And he's not like Patti Mahomes. Patty, Mahomes, has far more options his third option and Sammy Watkins is better than any receiver outside this going to play for New England..

"Story of the ever ever. Oh, that hurts my feelings. You know, you have it is it is a new record four minutes into the actual show best week ever that you're throwing us under the bus. A lot of people will be thrown under the bus yesterday as the chiefs to beat the colts thirty one thirteen and the Cowboys fall to the Rams handily as well too. And I want to start with Cowboys rans because it's America's team been heart sock. I've been told that for the last seventy five years, even though NFL football hasn't been around for seventy five years. But it almost felt that cowboy fans had so much love for this team. They felt like this could be the year, and guess what? Every single NFL fan that hates the Cowboys loved loved what happened yesterday as Sean McVeigh Todd Gurley and C J Anderson just put a good ole passionate whooping up on the Dallas Cowboys last night. And it wasn't done in this ram. Uh-huh. Super creative quirky style. They just they just crammed it down their throat and ran traditional route schemes and just made may Dallas look like what the Dallas that. We're used to seeing like the more things are different the more things. Stay the same. That's right. That's right. It's just one week later in the playoffs this time around. I think when you get into the playoffs and we saw that a little bit and chiefs colts yesterday, and we saw it a lot in Rams Cowboys is when you can stop the run, and you can run the ball, these these are not new concepts you this playoff football. Right. And there's certain teams you wonder can you trust? And I always had trust issues with the Dallas Cowboys. I had no trust issues with the Rams because I felt like they could be quote, multiple, right? They could win games in different ways. And that way it wasn't a lot of smoke and mirrors yesterday. It was we're going to play varsity football and the Dallas Cowboys or JV team two hundred and seventy three rushing yards. And a lot of that came within the tackles been hearts. And that's got to be the most demoralizing way to lose games. Right. Like you. You lose games to a different crazy scheme in playmakers on the outside in lesson that play calling. I can't stop. When you get beat inside the tackles. Dash is a team saying we don't need to do anything fancy to you. We got you beat. Let's not get crazy. And that's exactly what the Rams did. But the Rams played above their heads. Statistically, they were the twenty third best rush defense in the NFL. And they and so they did that against Zeke, Elliot, and you know that great offensive line. So I credit the Rams for what they did. It wasn't like you were talking about you, you trusted, the Rams more. No. I didn't. I didn't really trust. The rams. I can't remember what the spread was this morning. But I believe it was probably four if I'm not mistaken. Yeah. So yeah, if it was four I took I took the Cowboys as the Pez my pick because of the spread I didn't expect him to win the game. But I didn't expect them to get blown out. But siege. I mean, C J Anderson was the story of the game to me. I mean, the guy the guy gets cut from the raiders and then gets cut from the Panthers. Yup. And gets picked up in week sixteen that listen in the NFL world that is that's like the white elephant that everybody aspires to is. You know, you know, you never wanna get cut. But if you're going to get picked up late, you somehow sneak and get it Super Bowl ring out of it, potentially. Get a two hundred thousand dollar bump. I mean, that's that is fun though, this ultimate chip on the shoulder. Right. It's the ultimate chip on the shoulder. And it's what four hundred and twenty some odd rushing yards in the last three games for C, J Anderson. And but it's intriguing because if you're sitting there watching that game, if you're Levy on bell trying to get a big old pay day after sitting out most of the year, you're like, please. Let C J Anderson did not have a big game. Please let C J Anderson not have a good game. And sure enough he does. But on the other side of it. It wasn't just that rushing attack. Because it wasn't just C J Anderson tiger. It was a one two punch. And when it came down to it what we saw in both games was could you stop the run the Rams with all the off season acquisitions that they made ended up stopping Ezekiel Elliott, right? Same thing when it came down to what the chiefs were able to do they were able to stop the colts running the ball as well too. And they were able to run the ball. I mean, it's not we looking at the NFL and twenty nineteen in going forward about oh, it's going to the game. At the end of the day. We always revert back to what's going to be tried and true, come playoff time. Can you run the ball in can you stop the run? And that's exactly what the Rams in their nuclear type offense. That's awesome. What they did. It's the same thing that she's still with Patti Mahomes. Yeah. The college the college aspect that is most prevalent. I think that gets the least play yet the NFL level like the implementation of college schemes at the pro level. The biggest thing that Sean McVay does and did even last year with Matt floor is the communication with Jared Goff at the at the college level everybody you see it. It's the prairie dog offenses where you have the coaches on the sideline holding the signs up and their and their picture of lady Gaga, an organ dock an umbrella. But so they don't need that at the NFL level. But he's McVay with the communicator that has the speaker in the head helm. Of Jared Goff. He's basically treating Jared Goff as a joystick and and know Peyton Manning himself at the line of scrimmage. He didn't need it. Tom Brady drew Brees those guys don't Jared Goff. Perhaps. We'll get to that point to where he doesn't need. You know, kind of the little angel on your shoulder telling you, hey, buddy. It's cover to look to the left. Hey, buddy. It's covered three. Br look to the right that that's the big aspect. That is a that is a very much under reported part of the college scheme working its way into the NFL game. Right. And we'll talk more about that. We'll talk about cliff Kingsbury failing his way up in a questionable decision. He's already made. I'll get into that Ben heart sock. Peter burns coming up. We'll talk chiefs and colts in how Frank Reich the philosopher couldn't have the answers for the snowball. Fight for the cheese. We'll get into that as well. "As I mentioned, we go into what is an enormous football. We can all starts today, and we had an enormous college football weekend and the college football playoff rankings came out and UCF moved up two spots. And they're finally in the number nine hole here there within hailing distance as an undefeated team after they beat Cincinnati in that primetime ABC game college game day was there. And they jumped ahead of Ohio State now has awful, by the way is ranked tenth had no business winning that game versus Maryland last week. But we heard before the year when you see a finished undefeated last year and embarrassingly, by the way, UCF did the whole we're going to have a parade at Disney World. I know they're Florida based we're going to call ourselves national champions. Even if nobody acknowledges it we'll have a banner we'll have trophies. They're really, it's embarrassing. The call yourself a national champion, but they followed that up after losing Scott frost with going undefeated once again. And they wrap this up this week it will finish undefeated and before the year and even throughout the early parts of the year. Bill Hancock was the head chairman of the college football playoff committee. I know he joined the joint other shows on CBS sports radio. He went as far as to say, there's nothing that you a UCF can make the college football playoff he declared that UCF can make the college football playoff. If they do things the right way last year, it didn't work out for them. But there's nothing preventing UCF and making a college football type. Oh, really? Well, we'll see we'll find that out this week while we already tell you Ohio State falling behind UCF means nothing as bad a years. Ohio State has are still at brand. And I I don't think state win sweet versus Michigan shape. Patterson will do offensively urban Meyer on the sidelines. Okay. Good Dwayne Haskins has been times this year urban Meyer that sideline basically bent down. His head is obviously killing he does not look like a healthy, man. This feels like Jim Harbaugh is big moment. I'm gonna do plenty of this on tomorrow night show for Scotty on this game. But if house the beats Michigan, you telling me that Ohio State isn't gonna jump playoff rankings wants Michigan falls out and get into the top four. They're not gonna skyrocket from tenth to fourth. Of course, they are could absolutely sell Ohio State versus Alabama despite UCF going onto. And despite the fact that Ohio State is looked awful at times this year and almost to Maryland, they will put Ohio State in over UCF. So what about Notre Dame? What are the order Dame goes out west and they lose the USC on robbery Saturday? What happens then if UCF wins and Notre Dame loses. And let's just say Michigan wins. What's next? Georgia loses to Alabama who gets that spot. Do they go Oklahoma Cuyler Murray Heisman Trophy winner? Probably. Right. So what is he avenue? What is the path that UCF possibly before the year that Bill handcock they could get what they go on the field and every other team in the nation will just three games. Explain that to me. And before you can before you started say Meraz does anybody really need to see UCF in the college football playoff while. I would admit that UCF would get the four at best because they wouldn't give them the two of the three and they would go play Alabama. Do I think UCF could stay on the same field album? No. So as a college football fan wanting the best possible games in the college football playoff. Maybe UCF Alabama, isn't it. But you know, what who really can stay with do. I think Ohio State will if no think. Stay with the doors blown off by this Alabama team. And the great thing about college sports in particular, college basketball is the idea of quote, unquote, amateurism, and the idea of well any given Sunday any given day magic happens, and what the college football playoff takes away is the art of a true upset and upsets in sports, heck, that's half. The reason we watch him. Shady you greatest Super Bowl of your lifetime. What do you say the greatest Super Bowl of my lifetime? I think it was patriots against Seahawks. Just because of the shock of Malcolm Butler picking off that last pass on the goal line. Are you room argument? That's a great point. By point was going to say a lot of people would tell you giants patriots forty two because the patriots were undefeated that lasts drive. Your sacking Brady if the giants were ten and six and a patriots were eleven of five that year that game is seventeen fourteen. We might talk about tirees catch. But that doesn't live is one of the greatest symbols well timing lives because of the aura of the upset the US men's ice hockey team. None of us in this room were alive for I I'm sorry. If that makes some of you in the audience feel old, but why do we know about it because they've existed? There was upset what we saw this year with Virginia. Go not a sixteen versus one. We're going to be able to. I remember exactly where I was at night. And we will talk about that forever. Because that was what we were told a sixteen can never be a one. And part of what makes a playoff system. Great. And part of what makes sports great is the art of an upset the art of the little guy and the college football playoff while we could talk about expansion all we want the one thing they have prevented is the art of an upset the order of a little guy because when you narrow it down to just four teams, and you blatantly ignore and undefeated UCF, there's no room for upsets because if Michigan beats Alabama as big as an upset does that would be five years from now, we're not gonna look back and say remember that time Michigan upset Alabama. It's not going to feel like an upset as great as Alabama is UCF even at undefeated would feel like an upset to me. If they've gone undefeated now two straight years, and it can only players on the schedule. You wanna tell by the time, they could scheduling because he's super college football skills may basically three years in advance. It's going to be completely different kids. UCF might suck. Anyway. I don't care if Alabama beats UCF by forty points. And maybe the committee does because they don't want, you know, TV's being tuned off. But the idea of a close first half and that chance and hope for an upset to me is so much sexier than seeing an Ohio State team that might beat Michigan. I last game going to play Alabama to me, it is and the college football playoff. Does a terrible job of ignoring the potential for that great moment that great upset because I'm telling you right now a UCF win over Alabama. As highly unlikely as it is if it ever happened this year. We'll be the greatest moment. The college football playoff ever sees for the next hundred years. And if a team goes undefeated, and you're not willing to expand. When you better be damn willing to include. And if Notre Dame or Michigan news this week can make a case for Clemson. I guess if Alabama loses to Auburn, they're not falling out of the college football playoff they lost. And then they lost the Georgia. Maybe you need either. A Notre Dame to lose or Michigan lose to really test. When the committee is full of it or not when it comes to UCF. Ultimately, maybe neither of those things happen and the committee gets saved. But I think we all need to get serious here. UCF versus Alabama. Let's see let's give us a chance to have something magical happened, and we're not gonna have that opportunity. And frankly, I think that sucks. Calbos driving here down the field. I believe yes. It is the Cowboys offense to look into punch in the end zone. One forty three left in the second quarter. So we're gonna take you right till about half. Halftime. So we'll get caught up Ken Carmo come on at the half was tonight's game though saints and falcons before the years I've mentioned throughout the show tonight the saints and falcons before the year. I thought was the highlight big time premier thanksgiving game. I didn't really think the Cowboys Redskins. Either them be very good turns out there. Probably not very good. But it is for the first place in the NFC east and the lions bears. The blinds be good to be trash it ended up being the bears are good lines with trash by circled this NFC south robbery and saying man this game could be for the NFC south. And instead the falcons tiny they lose. Let's let this sink in is a falcon team that played. Remember that opening Thursday night gave us the eagles. They schedule the falcons there because that's supposed to be a big time game between two big time teams in the NFC as it turns out both probably don't make the playoffs. But the falcons could fall four and seven so how bad is this going to get Atlanta? How bad will it? Get and condemned Quin survive last night when I was in for Scotty for L. I opened the show saying that we had three coaches today map Patricia Jason Garin. Dan, Quinn at all eyes on them and who can least afford embarrassing loss. Well, Matt Patricia kinda got bailed out because it wasn't his fault. His team game today was Matt Stafford spoil it appears like Jason Garrett at least for the time being is in this game. The Redskins recall McCoy aren't going in there and pushing them bullying around the Cowboys it could get ugly tonight New Orleans for Dan Quinn is falcons. And yes, the secondary was ravaged by injuries early early in the year. But that is still an offense led by a former MVP Matt Ryan a big time wide receiver Julio Jones the to a first-round pick and Calvin Ridley that's a really good offense. And tonight, by the way, the saints defense isn't the most spectacular defensive world. You would take this. Falcon offense could move the ball a little bit. And I don't expect them to I expect the saints to cover are. They were one of my picks. I took the saints lane thirteen. Four and seven if the saints if the falcons go have an effort the way the eagles had last week in the Marlins, and he score maybe just a touchdown and this games fifty one seven tonight on national TV and thanksgiving night. It's time to start. Putting Dan Quinn. More and more on the hot seat here that offense and red zone offense in particular has been a travesty. I'm sorry, Atlanta. They might be time for a change before you rot. This core. Rotten Matt Ryan away, Dan Queen. I know he's two years more from a Super Bowl he may never recover from blowing that Super Bowl, and what's happened this year. Brutal. And on the flip side drew Brees. Now is in the MVP race with Patti Mahomes. And if you ask me today to pick one for MB PM, Patrick malls. And I didn't realize until reading up this week and hadn't really thought about it. When you think about the quarterbacks and hall of famers and everything that's gone on. Drew Brees has never won a league MVP. Can you believe that drew Brees as great as he is? We all know he's going to all the fame has never won a league MVP. And this is kind of my problem when it comes to hall of fame debates in first ballots and everything like that is when we use the lack of winning an MVP against somebody who might have done something. Great, and I will be transparent as a giant fan. Eli manning a lot of people what people will say is. Well, how does he relate to his peers he wasn't a top five quarterback? "But when you're talking about who I want to face in absent of Jerry golf, but if you're a defender, if you're defensive coach one thing that coaches terrified of he's terrified of the unknown things that he believes that drew Brees and Tom Brady are going to note that the problems with a certain defense to problems with certain coverages. They're going to know those things Patty Mahomes is Patty Mahomes going to be a store or is he going to have a season. Like, Dante Culpepper? Did you know like the Shaun Watson? He had a great half a season. But he hadn't been able to duplicate that. So coach is going by what these guys have done. Also what they've done under heat. And I know I got some things I gotta throw at them where there is a weakness. I know they're going to know that because in talking to drew Brees, I'm like, drew. How can you get more accurate as you get older? He said, Chris, I know every week. Weakness in the coverage. I know every pattern in our passing tree that we're going to do where I need to go to the hot how to get rid of the football. So I don't get into trouble. In those types of little little small details. You not going to know that when you have not played so the totality of formations speed. And what Kansas City gives me compared to what drew Brees, and Sean Payton, I can understand why you make a case for Bolton them. But you also have to understand in playoff football. These great quarterbacks understanding where the weaknesses that kind of Intel is more valuable than just pure pure talent. In by the way, these guys with this information. They're also very very talented a knock on the homes Egypt hasn't in order to get experience. You have to go through, of course. Right. Record Tom Brady. We criticize him after three Super Bowls. We kept criticize all man. This is a bell shaped Bill checks, more important. They want three sue. Bowls. They could've had any quarterback. So why wouldn't we do? We just writing a moment with Patti Mahomes. So he's getting the same thing to Shawn Watson got last season. Right. And the reason that and as we get further into the season like that we get to a point where the only fair criticism of Mahomes is things that are out of his control because he can't control time. He can't make himself a five year. Pro he can't get the eighty games that you would like to see because he's in game twelve of his career. He's in game eleven of the season. What I do know is this that through five games of the year when he was starting to become an MVP candidate. We were saying let's see once they have a monk worth a film on them. What he turns into and through five games. He was averaging three hundred yards passing per game. Fourteen touchdowns. Two picks thirteen rating since then three hundred and fifty yards passing game twenty three touchdowns eight picks and a one twenty two rating. So once they've gotten film, he's gotten better, Nick. Randy moss, scored seventeen touchstones his rookie year. You know, what I told him? I need Bill. See if you can do it over the long run if you can do it two years in a row, it's all a part of professional football and evaluating. But we have had Dante Culpepper. We have had guys have amazing seasons, but not go onto amazing careers. So it's not as if we have not seen this four. We'll never quite to this level. Not quite to this. We've never seen the guy of this type of season and not go onto a great career that hasn't happened. And Dante Dante was it wasn't as the first year and he suffered a traumatic knee and done two years. Absolutely. But for him, I feel it was a traumatic knee, but he doesn't have arm. Absolutely go. Look at the greatness and guys that that you'd want to play against not wanna play against. I think. Okay. How would this player work on another team? I think if you put Tom Brady in Kansas City, his numbers would be off the charts. Would that those skill players that my questions? Did you put Mahomes in New England what his numbers look like and move guys around. Do they do they have the impact? Because of who they are or is some of this a function of what's Ron him. He's got a ton of supporting cast their that really helps them..

"And no pro team will ever run it at all. And now we're seeing again, you're never gonna have like the old Oklahoma team. You're gonna go team running triple option for right? You're not gonna. But you do have you saw last night the chiefs in spot run that option run option stuff, we see the Saint tesa mill run the option stuff so in little bits. They are pulling things from the lower levels of football that if you have the right athletes can work the game in college. Were you have a limited time in college football with the athletes to prepare in pro football. You have a lot more time. The option inven- college while is such a rarity typically playing all these spread teams. And that's how you're Bill. So now when you go to play option football, it's such a unique thing if for the offense is so much better at doing what they do. Then the defense has to adjust in that. Now, I'm pro football too. When you get hit by those guys. There's only so many times you're gonna get hit by a pro football player before you end up on the sideline or in the training room. Is this where we are for the next couple of years or do you see this changing? I think we should just enjoy football the way it is. I talked to Roger Goodell. Troy Vincent known. And I told them that the game was getting easier last year, they changed not only someone other rules as far as passing, but they changed it what a reception was. You didn't have to survive the ground. So they've made it easier to catch the football. Now, you can't put your weight on the quarterback. They're making easy for a quarterback. So if they keep making the game easier, you should see bigger numbers offense of standpoint. And we're gonna Grodin era of throwing. The football though, guys can throw the ball in that has to be baked into the equation. It's not a whole bunch of college top the bottom. If you look at our top twenty five guys in NFL. They can throw the ball better than any twenty five guys in the other ninety nine year history. And I'm willing to people that challenge today, you give me an era where you got twenty five guys can throw it. And I think this era is the best fourteen touchdowns. Fifty six first downs. One hundred and five points in thousand one yards on offense last night. I was quite a game. Coach. Thanks. Appreciate having you here. Coming up like I said hundred one points, but the best player last night might have been on defense. That's next on first things. First. Thanksgiving Day on one conference powerhouses collide North Carolina battling Texas UCLA takes Michigan state, the Las Vegas Invitational. F s one on the Fox Sports North Carolina's got one of the best freshman in the country. We haven't talked to him in Texas as one of the best looking coaches in the country. They need to be better this year than they were last year. We had to Patti Mahomes in a second but first Jared Goff perfect past Gerald Everett shown off the fancy footwork for the game winning touch. The chiefs defense could be in real trouble this year. See why? When before the year, the local writers were saying, they're really gonna miss Daniel Sorensen until he returns, that's the guy getting dusted right there. That's the guy you were killing all last year. They needed him. I was told that's the level of defense. They got right now. Yeah. I knew there being opportunities. But he was going to be in the game. I knew every opportunities to throw a ball game Sansom, Ed Buchanan with the intersection will not be denied. Into the end zone. Cam play the mazing game made a couple other plays outside of this one..

"Your thoughts on Antonio Brown. You want to borrow my cross. Oh, yeah. The cross, Sarah although goal that thing. I think I think this is what Mike Tomlin says he says Antonio Brown's when you don't look intense. He's got he's got that intense. Look almost like that deranged. He's got like he's ready to. My voice data ten gotta put my voice down to. Gets a base in there. Will you Tonio Brennan's grown man ego? He wasn't arrested. He made a mistake. He's a grown, man. He's gotta deal with the legal consequences themselves. But for tonight, he's going to be available for us coach. What about the message that this may or may not send to the youth of Pittsburgh here? Coach I can't worry about that. And Tonio Brown's got apologize himself. Okay. That's what he's gonna pretty pretty convinced. Sadly, y- usually got impersonations. But that was pretty good. I gotta get my acting chops together. I liked it. All can we reveal this now? Wait a little bit. You tell me this is your thing. Wait, wait, wait our conversation. We're about okay. Okay. But that's another baby for like a week though. It's going to be going on for a while. So that's not going anywhere. I guess we don't have to do it today. But it's you guys are gonna find this really interesting, and you'll have a chance to actually see Tiki will leave it at that. Here's the favor, buddy. Tell us. What the poll question is. I don't want to line something about Cam. And I want to play something from Ron Rivera comparing Big Ben to do I think this is a pretty good poll question. I haven't voted yet. But I want to get out our responses as soon as Mike lays it out what you got. So as we've been discussing all week really Cam Newton is having a better year of roue games, and he did in his MVP season a few years ago. So we asked simply where would you rank Cam amongst his peers of the NFL at the QB position. This is just this year. I just think in general, okay? If you're talking about the best quarterbacks. Yeah. If you wear your ranking Cam that that's that's how calm three four through eight nine through twelve thirteen or lower. So I never TJ layers four through eight. Yes. Around numbers, not five not. And now first of all seven percent of our audience needs to get a brain implant because they say thirteenth or lower. He wanted to be anyone who thinks that Cam Newton is thirteenth or lower in the NFL deserves are not thirteen current players it but quarterback who have won the MVP that doesn't matter. I'm just saying, and it was only a couple of years ago that he was in the Super Bowl. So I'm just saying there aren't thirteen on a second. I'm going to have no phone. By the way. I agree. There are thirteen. Of course. I agree. There's there's no way there are twelve quarterback. I agree. Seven percent of our audience needs to you know, wake up a little bit twenty six percent say that he's nine through twelve. Yup. The overwhelming amount sixty three percent. This is probably where I would put him as well four through eight. And then four percents say top three which I can understand an argument there. But can't understand that. There's no argument. He's not top three quarterback. He's got. I don't agree there. I just I can listen to an argument to lower is done it the numbers differently like four input top three at the very bottom because it's actually Mahomes just just reacting to the season again, by the way for the record on the one who brought up to the on the air that he's the conversation of giving them proper homes is still stirring the cream in his coffee. A better season at right now. But we're talking about overall we're going we're talking. About overall quarterback. He's still deciding whether he wants to love to sugar too. All right. Well, homes Goth Matt Ryan big band avenue. Rodgers Tom Brady does y'all Watson. Drew brees. Philip rivers. Just save drew lock. I can throw out. Listen, you could argue anything. You know, I think I do you wanna put Cam above Andrew luck right now. Because that's what it's gonna come to. Honestly, if you think about one through eight let me ask you this. If you put the best way to tackle that question, and there's no right or wrong answer. But if I said to you. All right. The teak you own the Panthers or you're you're the coach of the Panthers. Whatever you've got a vested interest in the Panthers. And I will somehow give you Andrew luck. And I can promise that shoulders fine or the option of Andrew luck for the rest of the season. Would you rather have with with with the rest of those pieces Cam, that's creek? I think the is angel. Look, I engine looks better. I might say Cam BT over the last handful. Last year. And they've won they've run four in a row. Yup. No, they won three one three steering over the last three games cams completing seventy percent of his pass down. Not had an intercept don't interception. He's got what twelve touchdowns eleven of twelve touchdowns. And that's not counting. What he's done with his legs. A couple rushing touchdowns as well. I understand that. Andrew luck has been bowling twenty three touchdowns. They'll realize three and fine Scott that without T Y Hilton hamstring for a couple of the rock all over the place just saying he's he Andrew look back to be natural luck. Stop stop with Cam Newton, man. He's dynamic athletic. I know versus how because you've run the zone read stuff with them. I can't imagine what Andrew luck with McCaffrey. I'd probably take. They play together in college who McCaffrey. Oh, it's been around since two thousand thirteen as you could believe it is only rookie year. Yep. In the next year they made it again when a game farther and the following year. They went to the SEC championship game. He won eleven games. His first three years. I believe he won't eat thirty three games. I definitely did. He took a next step every year in the post. Yes, why everybody was saying he's gonna win the Super Bowl in two years and deflate gate happened, right? Exactly they gave him the pats the pats mush. Yeah. You can go. Alvian symbols out. But again like where am I voting here Cam? It's I listen, by the way for full disclosure on the one who put the poll up today. And I purposely layered it and tiered it the way I did. Because if I set top five, right? You can make a strong case wasn't as Mike says to be fair to Mike. There is a small argument to be made that maybe you put him number three. I wouldn't. But at least it's not completely off the radar. Yeah. Of of of reason. Yep. All right. And then so rather than go like top five where there's nothing to think about I really want to give you something to think about so I figure in my mind would I'll put in this up before the show top three. You know, the Rogers is the Brady's and the priest boom. So right away is not there Patti Mahomes, boom. And I'm going to vote and I haven't voted yet. I'm gonna vote for eight. But what's interesting about that? Here is that I could make the strong case. I really believe this. This is not just a radio. Like, I believe this that he's a lot closer to eight. Then he's four. I personally believe that. Yeah. Because you still have. I mean, you talk about the Mahomes, and then you gotta start in Philip rivers. Yeah. Matt Ryan who's not not too far off his MVP as well. Did you did you so many really good quarterbacks that Big Ben even that you'd have to throw in here? And yeah, I think I'm gonna say four eight as well. But this is a dicey one. It gets tight especially when you start thinking about just click it who's your vote for. I did I did forty eight days. Tonight's game. Tonight's games got a lot. And by the way, we've been sitting through some trash last couple of Thursdays in descending order. We were exposed to the raiders and the forty we need a tetanus shot to that game. The raiders it was only good God. It was terrible. Because of it wasn't good. But because of the quarterback was a great story gave them proper respect for the Marlins as he should. And we said he will be playing Monday night against the giants. The giants and I'm not trying to rain on the young man's prayed. I've got profound respect for anybody. That in the shadows of obscurity, you do your job when no one's watching. And you're writing when the bell rings monster props, right? But in terms of latching onto what you see what I'm saying, something good. What are you saying whatever the line is taken against the against the raiders? I'm not saying that. I was I was off on that one. But it going backwards. We have forty Niners raiders. All right Texans, put up some points. But that was the dolphins. Whereas boring. The Broncos dismantled the car does that was awful to watch. It was in Arizona eagles in the giants. Giants are almost unwatchable. And even the pats colts game. I don't have the final score in front of me. But there was a couple of cosmetic points at the end bike. Andrew luck was just it'd be so great. It got close. But it kept the interesting you knew the pats weren't gonna lose. This is a game that we will circle. And we might come back and revisit in two weeks or month and say, boy, this was one of the I don't know eight nine ten defining games of the year because they're both hot. They can both win their divisions. And I think quite frankly, if they stay healthy both could go on Super Bowl runs. Right. You know what I mean? Agreed. They've got experience they both been there before Ben's won a couple camp got to the Super Bowl. So there's a lot of states is it'd be a law fun day five five thirty one to forty two twenty-seven Tiki and Tierney show. So where do you think cameras Zeitz top? Three four two eight nine to twelve or thirteen th or lower which obviously, you know. That's that's unfair. That's ridiculous. But it is there. If you're not a camp fan is an option we got the update now from Darwin's. Oh, come back. Tony Dorsett chat. Tony dorsett. Very nice now. Troy aikman. Just took a little bomb and left it in the room and then walked out and just dismantled the Cowboys universe. What's Tony Dorsett? Going to say about the Cowboys and he watches them. He consumes him. He's involved in it. What will he say? We'll get the answer coming up after doormats update, which is right now here he is..

"And the saints. That's on FOX in the FOX that you can check your local listings. Megan finally caught up with the Panthers after being undervalued the last few weeks, eight nap point favorite or six point favorite to this week. We'll get Baker personal homes and a minute. But first, there's an football. Nick Mullins throws to George Kittle. Nice one handed grab pro football. Focus has the best tight in first half of the season really excited. He had an eighty yard plays at a seventy two yard play earlier in the season, man. Lot of people don't know about him. He's been great cabs kings. Larry Nance post rises Mason Plumlee with a nice one handed jam Cavs good first quarter in this game dominating the last three quarters of this game. But it is sad time for me in Cleveland, C J R one being understood I'm just for me. Personally, sarah. Like, if my man JR leaves all I got left there's Jenny. Oh, wow. Plum laid is about game. We'll hear. Yeah. I'm on a poster. But now here on a poster let me get some of this. I like that. That's a heck of a plane. Both those guys. I mean, this meet him at the apex. Oh, get it naturally dunk on him in the exact same place with the exact same dunk. Moving onto a match up to the league's young stars, Patrick Mahomes and the high power chief softens heading into Cleveland to take on Baker Mayfield and the Browns. These two have been connected since they both played at Texas Tech. Baker Mayfield spoke on what has made Mahomes so successful. So quickly. He just has that presence about him that you wanna be around you gravitate towards that. And so it's fun to see them grow. Yeah. I mean, bakers bakers awesome, dude, great later he had a ton of passion and on his talents through the roof. I mean, he don't keep getting better every every single week. And he's already had a lot of success. And I mean, the sky's the limit from you and Patrick kinda cross pads all across the line. You know, they're playing in the NFL feeling it could be the start of a quarterback rivalry like Brady manning or something that level. I would actually not say that it's going to be very many right now. But that's humbling to be in that conversation. But we'll see if he keeps playing that way. There's no reason why wouldn't be on his side of things. I just got to pick up my son play better. Definitely not there yet. But C C which quarterback. Would you rather build around Patrick Mahomes or Baker Mayfield? This is very very difficult. I believe both of them. Are not your typical traditional NFL quarterbacks. You have one plane for a franchise who doesn't currently have a coach. And then one of the coaches who I respect as an offense of mine, Andy Reid. So if I have a son and he's a quarterback. Where would I rather be in Cleveland with a owner in six years five different coaches three or four different general managers like it's the system around it right now, I gotta say Andy Reid with Patti Mahomes. I gotta go with Patty Mahomes because where he is like I got to trust any read has done this before Cleveland has missed this look before. So I believe in both of the talent I believe both them have the intangible things as far as leadership mean, and they can lead grown men that they're very very special, but Patty, Mahomes, Unsan him do it. I'm seeing him. Do it. I'm seeing him making plays. I'm seeing him making those. I'm not projected anymore..
