"So you were they didn't want you. There is that your most memorable bombing experience where the one that stinks. The most. I think I think what you do is you learn to perform for people who would rather you not be there. And it makes you better because you have to learn how to get a person's attention. You got two minutes to get a black audience attention. And after two minutes, you're in trouble. And I think it made me better in the comedy clubs at the same time you had audiences who came to see the comedy. But I found opening for Tom Jones and Patti LaBelle to open for Patti LaBelle in the bay area is suicide. But. You can do it. It's gonna make you a better comic. I remember walking out in front of Patti LaBelle. And there was a man in the front row. Dress just like with the fans and his hair, and he had breast and address. And I knew then you will go to get this. A hall with us already SPN radio. The Jackie Robinson of celebrity apprentice, I wanna go back to that second. If I told you back when you were on celebrity apprentice winning dominating that thing that the host of that show would eventually be the president of the United States of America. You would've told me what? I would say you're out of your mind, Stu, you're out of your mind. And it's weird. Because I thought he said it to me a couple times I thought it was something they used to do right before apprentice came on the air for the for the new season to kind of get publicity. I thought they would say that everybody pays attention to Trump. Everybody wants to interview him. And then you say, oh, I'm not gonna I'm not gonna run and then you put on the fall season if celebrity apprentice. So when he said it and actually did it that following season. I I was shocked it it was amazing. I actually got to confront we don't get along. Now. I mean, you know, when we when we first met, I thought we get along we both like sports, we both liked politics. We both really like his daughter. And I thought that we'd be I thought we'd be good friends. But we didn't we didn't get along. I actually confronted him about the birther issue after I won. I'm no fool. I didn't say nothing before I want. But after I won, it was something I thought I needed to step to him and talk about and we never spoke after that moment, and what was his reaction to to you confronting him about that. Actually, Trump is an interesting dude because he looked in my eyes and swore to me that he had detectives in Africa that had some information, and you you just wait and see young, man. I got some stuff that's going to break this thing wide open. And he didn't say I thought he would say something like, hey, you know, I'm just trying to get their attention, or, you know, all his fair in politics. He didn't do any of that. He looked me in my eyes and told me there is something and I'm gonna find it out. And I have people working on our center, we appreciate you being on with us. Thank you for taking the time, sir. So we also we get tougher teacher Tuesday got a story that will share with you. Sometime in the five o'clock hour, so hang on for that. So I've been trying to cut down on my calorie intake 'cause I just went a little crazy over the last couple of weeks. Even for some stupid reason, I got on the scale at the at the gym in like the outcome. You never do know because I've been doing it for it. Because I knew it wasn't going to be good. It was gonna make me happy that publicist scale this gale at Publix gets me every time, and I don't do that. 'cause I can't rely. I mean the last time I did it there. They threw me out because. Underwear? I like the way myself and my clothes they didn't like that. So I figured you would at the gym. But I did it the gym. And boy, oh, boy, I tell you what man I don't know if it's because you get older or whatever it is. But it's it's so tough to take it off. And then when you do within like a week you put like a month's worth back on. I don't know how that works. But so I got to figure out how to get my arms around it. I've done it before. I just got cut down. I cut on the couch. Just got to keep track of it. The last couple of weeks, I was just going willy nilly with whatever I wanted to do and I can't do that anywhere twenty-five anymore. You know, back when I was twenty five I could eat as much as I wanted to put on a pound even to exercise. But now, I got a really kind of stick to it. So anything I am, you know, how he did it last time really seriously? How'd you do it? I was eating these these frozen dinners. Oh, that's not good to do because it's not real. But for me for me because they weren't. They didn't taste good. It seemed to work. Fill my gut, and it was like I wasn't. I didn't want more of them more of them. You know what I mean? Like, I I was like so I kind of convince myself that food didn't taste good because I haven't had a frozen dinner like a lean cuisine and one of those that has tasted really good in a long time. There's really nothing out there that tastes good. I mean, the only thing that's frozen that ever tastes good. When you heat it up as a pizza as far as I'm concerned, even that. I mean, like I did that when I was you know, in college and stuff like that. 'cause those lean or lean cuisines or good those little serving. I like I didn't like them. I didn't do it for me. I am mentioning this now because I I don't know if this is what's going to happen with this Patti LaBelle, the singer Patti LaBelle, she was she got in the food business. And I guess she should made these pies that took off made a lot of money with these pies. She's a getting into the frozen Chinese food business. Put even super Patti LaBelle is putting out frozen Chinese food dinners in supermarkets she's going into business with this this business partner. I guess who's done these frozen foods before I don't know about you. But when I think Chinese food the first name that comes to mind is Patti LaBelle. Chinese cuisine right lady. Marmalade she'd put out Cajun food or mama lot. Yes. Yes. Well, that's what I'm saying. You know? Well, I would think like jelly. But well, you must be jelly jam. Don't shake like that. Barbara Streisand getting into the Italian food business. Bizarre. Betcha. It's going to be good though. Barsky radio on news talk..

But although they were based in Los Angeles recordings were recorded in Detroit, Michigan, and you know, they basically kinda was like the. Second generation of the Motown sound because remember if you got that, Holland dosier stamp on you, you got a little bit of that Motown that Motown flavor attached to you, but Honey cone and had hot wax debut, single, call while out looking for shoot and that peaked at number twenty six on Billboard's R&_B chart of follow up with girls ain't easy which I love that song. I like reached number eight on the same listing and third released. Warded you'll miss singlet free. Now that was what ED's which proved to be their biggest hit topping both Rb and pop charts selling over one million copies. And they were warded the gold this by the record industry association of America may nineteen seventy one and eight just kept it up the same year. They had another arm number number one Rb hit eleven pop. It was stick up which also sold more than one million units. And they continued with the success, you know, but they split before nineteen Seventy-three ended and soon after that hot wax folded, but honeycomb has left there like see on soul music because these ladies both all three had season musical backgrounds. And they just bought that flavor with them when they sang together. This is a bowl of soul celebrating women's history. Mothers celebrating Honey cone. Coming up next. This is a classic. Let me tell you Patti LaBelle. Had a group that was patted the Bill in the blue bells. Okay. Which included known. Hendrick Sarah dash. Patti LaBelle and Cindy birdsong look at that look at that connection. Well, anyway, Cindy, birdsong left and went to the Supremes right to replace Florence Ballard. But the Bill continue now was instead of just Patti LaBelle and the Bluebells became Lebel and this was off of their album. Call Moonshadow this album is so you've got to get this album that album is just so hot would just Sarah. But it's beautiful. And we celebrate Lebel here on a bowl of soul coming up next week going to you know, give you some hot from the emotions talk about. I don't wanna lose your love. And this is a bowl of so. Just big. What's the region? Don't. Think get good. Two. Give it you. You know, this this definitely this song. Is a dance FILA. I don't wanna lose your love by the emotions from nineteen seventy six, and you know, this was written by one of the emotion will to them Wanda Hutchison and will actually want the Hutchison Ginette holes, and it was produced by late MAURICE, white and Charles Steph me and this single catapulted the emotions back onto the record charts. You know, the motions used to saying for the Stax record label, as, you know, stacks at folded, you know, I think stacks closes doors. I think in nineteen seventy five or nineteen seventy six and the emotions went over to the Columbia records label and produced by members of earth when in fire this tomb was number thirteen and number four on the billboard hot Rb, singles and hot dance club play. And every time you put this. Song on I guarantee you people are going to be on the floor. This still sounds as fresh as when it came out. And it's like a fine wine. It just keeps getting better you'd need to know a stand. Why you need to listen to a bowl of so music from the fifty systems a little bit of the sixty the sixty six.
