"You know, it's a very complex and you feel bad for him there's moments where he regrets what he's doing or he changes his mind, doubts himself. I thought those were some of the most interesting bits where he's just like a fucked up ear. I've done this. I've done that. And yeah, and that final moment, he basically has this child molester criminal, he has in his back pocket. He basically gets him to go in and destroy the house while they're out, but then she goes back early. And he's like, don't go in. He tries to stop his, like, get out, get out, get out and get out. But she goes in, fighting shoes. She gets knocked down. Her and Sam Jackson comes and kills the guy. But they can't find the phone that he was calling him on. And that leads to the finale where Patrick Wilson finds the phone. He calls it, and then able turn of the character answers. And then he looks over across the house, Ableton is like, hello, hello. Sees him in the window and gives him this fucking look like you fucking done it now, you idiot. Now I'm gonna have to kill you. And it was like what you were saying were rarely. You get that look. That's the turning point. It's like there's no turning back now. I have to kill you now. I have to murder you now. Because you've made me do this. There's quite a few there's a bit when he's talking to Patrick Wilson in the car. Very early on again. And he goes as soon as you know, you can listen to easily listening to rap music. I'm going to be hip hop, and he goes, you can listen to this music all the time, but when you wake up, you're still going to be white. And it's like out of nowhere. Patrick Wilson just say in his car. He's not done anything. Sat on his drive. And again, again, it starts like the whole thing just starts off pretty kind of like, you know, you've had disagreements with your neighbors or you've been making too much noise, one night, or something like that. But it just ramps up ever so slightly more and more, and they both start fucking turning the knife. He gets light, he gets lights. He builds these bushes up, he chops him down with a chainsaw. That's all this sort of stuff. And there's a lot of sympathy originally from the wife isn't there because they have this argument and it Patrick, because he's what around the patrol because able does this whole watch type scenario thing. So they've walked around. That loads of stuff. He's basically said, move out sort of thing. So he's gone back. That's what he's doing, isn't he? He's pointing at all these houses and like drug dealer. He beats his wife. He does this. And you know for a fact that's not true. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Well, he's saying it to game to move because he's trying to get him to know it's a bad neighborhood.

I am better for talking to you. I'm better for talking to you. So back in the role of ed. A paranormal investigator He's been at this awhile. You've been out this law. I literally can't seem to find all the demons. Keep looking everywhere. Have you really looked everywhere. Though patrick at this time my gosh what is it like to return to a role of in your career here yet and you know it's funny is you rarely get this opportunity. I it's easy to say. Oh my god you've done three of them. We've actually meeting the beer. Forget play this role. This is our fourth time Playing ed lorraine warren But i gotta say it's a complete luxury and we have a blast working together. You movies hopefully are really scared of people but we also try to find the heart to humor and all that so it's It's it's actually it's a it's a. It's a real blessing. Because a lot of times you know you you'll sign sequel deals for things and we hope to god. I don't even wanna do this again or it was and we're real lucky that that we have fun making movies and that they work because you know rarely do things both be financially successful and super enjoyable for you. It's a it's a win. Did you grow up liking these types of movies watching these types of movies. No not not really. I mean i you know i was a certainly a big movie guy I wasn't a horror guy. I really wasn't and it was just my relationship with james. Want who. I directed the first two conjuring and we did it together. I another series called insidious couple of movies with him doing that And it was really our relationship and just it was a lot of. I love it i really did. I felt like it it. It actually got me out of my comfort zone. I i you know i. I used to do a lot of theater and a lot of musical theater. S you wanna get into movies. Most of the stuff. That i did was was pretty How do i say it underplayed. A lot of things that was very sort of natural and it was actually it was it was really rewarding to sort of go out there and just let it rip and you know scream and yell and danville dental back to hell if you will get. Yes and obviously you've been nominated for tony For your work on On the stage and angels in america along with also obviously the phantom of the opera which we were in that film. I love in fargo on. Tv what a great tv show that is and was certainly the season you in on that. What was it like to to work on on a tv series based on such a a remarkable movie in fargo. It was fantastic. I mean that movie is is. It always been one of my favorites and i actually by the time. I got the job. The when they offered me the second season. I hadn't seen the first season i was sort of like you. I just felt like. I mean this movie is so revered. How do you do a tv show. And then honestly. One conversation. With noah hawley the showrunner in nearly just guru by a whole series Writer director producer. He just he sold me on it and it was. You know similar tone but a different story and And it was awesome. You know it's funny. Actors tend to guys that played a good guy a lot. You know you always wanna play the villain or the Or the character parts. But i gotta say playing liu so verson in fargo was one of the best roles of my life that because he was it was everything that you want to be. He was that good and solid of a guy that would never backed down from anything but just a pure heart like man. This guy's us makes me feel dirty. It was it was fantastic. And plus you worked with television acting. Legend in ted danson. What was that like is beyond the set with head. My my carnegie mellon fellow carnegie mellon alumni alumnae. Yeah i mean one of the one of the best. Honestly he is He's one of the best. I for a guy that was so successful in tv. He's he's so natural and effortless in i in in making it look natural and effortless which is of course the goal of every actor. Like you know if you see somebody working. You're like ooh they're really working. But you know my. I would rather you just go out and looks like it. Fits looks like looks like that was easy and then my job. 'cause you should be convincing antennas. Just the one of those guys that can go in and out between comedy and drama so funny so charismatic And a great dude. Just a great guy. We spent a lotta time together. Patrick mason here on the rich. Eisen show the conjuring the devil made me do. It is in theaters today also on. Hbo max So what are your sports teams. Now disqualify the show because of your steroid use. You know what i thought about that. Yeah but taking that steroid. Wouldn't it be disheartening if you took the steroid and you had the best show effort then you go. Oh my god. I have to take more steroids. How can you go off the steroid. I guess that is the conundrum. Ooh that everyone thing. It wasn't a great show. So good for you actually. It's it's been a great chance since you and i last spoke you're on the show. Your dodgers went to the world series. There was that five hour game that went in. That was insane. I i am proud to say. I stuck around to extra innings for that night. "You could find a place right. I look at my feet up. It'd be beautiful. Red rock resort hotel. Hotel truly snow Becoming here for seventeen years. And i will have a great seat tomorrow considering i am not working tomorrow okay I get my feet up all day tomorrow. It'd be able to watch the belmont. And i i promise you i will wear out a path from my seat to the wagering window at the red rock or my express better complicated certainly over work tomorrow. Well on saying at is we're on raider nation radio nine twenty. Am in las vegas. I think he just got your meal. Comped by dropping br. You know i've been going there for a long time. I was there well before anybody knew about the beautiful red rocks. So you know what. I can't wait to get their things Looking forward to a great janney belmont. Yes when he got mile and a half eight horse. The horse probably ended up being the favourite. And it's going to be hard to go against. The favorite of my opinion is a two-horse essential quality. He was a favourite admit kentucky using kentucky derby he ran forth that day. I didn't i didn't like him. I thought he really ran his heart out the race before i thought he'd left his derby race on the track and the race before it came in about a month before he's run a mile and a half a lot of these sources. You know rich won't run a mile and a half the rest of their life but this horses bred to do it before he lost it. The derby being finished he was a perfect. He was five for five in his career. Two year. old champion I think they'll get the perfect setup now to two one five the to you know not not great odds but sometimes you gotta take. What the track is you so for me. It's all about the two horses central quality and horse that won the pretense a three-horse ram bauer. So i'm gonna play a little two three three two box but all my money's gonna be on the nose of central quality in that the chardonnay people the three horse romburg so it is not but they've had a few had a fearsome pointing the preakness. I will say that okay i. i'm. I'm just taking a shot there because if you just keep mentioning the name of the resort that you're in you're trying to get your i'm trying to get at least Some great chardonnay sent to the rich eisen show. So what is your take on. What happened with baffert and baffert saying that. The racing community was so upset about it. And now here we are. It took it took literally forever and a day like let's just say if If baseball the nfl or any any major sport had suspended somebody due to a drug test and it took a million years essentially and actually you started you you put you put the athlete back out there to run to or to compete in a nationwide internationally. Watched event will go. What the hell's going on. So what what is your take on all of what happened. It's interesting to talk about that rich because if you go back a couple of years ago when maximum security the horse that finished the derby lie The finish line first at derby a couple of years ago and then was disqualified for interference on the turn coming from home. Maximum maximum-security is jockey louis says He got he got in trouble for the ride in that race and he got they call them days so he you know he got technically suspended for a couple of days but he appealed that he appealed in not he'd never served those days until a year after year after so two meters this. There's there's a lot. There's a lot of problems there in a lot of areas and horse rates but to me that that's just one of them right like look at it. Costs money to get these types back. The process every state has different rules. Don't let me just make this perfectly clear. Is that the this. The substance that was found in medina spirit. The horse that won the kentucky derby it is not a banned substance. It is allowed up to a certain amount now. The horse tested the amount that was in. There was over the allotted amount. That's bob baffert. That's on his team. He has to wear that It's been a cloud over the sport for for a while and now with the split sample coming back and churchill downs now banning him for the next couple of years and look at bob baffert has to wear that and ask the way that is but again. I think that initially and even through this whole process is when you hear a failed drug test. Everybody just assumes this is something that is not allowed in horse racing If you wanna take it to the next level instead of testing just the the five You know the five horses The top five finishers after the kentucky. Derby test them. All when you go to the pre-race testing why aren't they testing for everything. Instead of just certain things like again. There's there's so many things here. But most importantly asked me about bob baffert. He has to wear this. It's obviously disappointing. But again i want people to know the facts. Is that the substance that was found in the horse that won the kentucky. Derby is a banned substance. The amount that he had an assistant was over the limit. Here's an example rich. If that test was taken in california he would have not. There would have been no red flag. There have been no test in churchill downs. It's different but again. That is on bob baffert that make it perfectly clear. And and that's something that he's going to have to live with. And and and hopefully be better for. And i think that he will you spend the face of the sport for a long long time and In the certainly is in great pretty game but to me there was a lot more to uncover in in our game and horse racing Then then just what has taken place with the kentucky. Derby and i will say this last thing. Is that when you see race. Tracks starting to ban You know bob baffert coming to their track or not allowing to raise here or there or whatever it is. It's like okay. Well i is that going to be consistent line rich. Are you going to sit there and go. Wow if eddie olczyk has a as a positive test or he has had a positive tests. Are you going to ban. Him is much so. Those are the questions i think are being answered on the inside of horse racing as look at. You're going to do this. The bob baffert just because it was the kentucky derby. Well then you better be doing it to the seven or eight guys or are women that are training courses right. Now you're racetrack. Are you going to suspend them as well. Moving forward so again. Everybody has a due process about hat that and unfortunately It came back What they said after the first time and and hopefully The game will be better for ad. Enjoy tonight's proceedings on nbc. 'send puck dropping at ten eastern time. Right there in las vegas nevada Colorado versus the vegas golden knights and then tomorrow The belmont which you will be watching where are going to be watching it again. We're gonna be watching resort and casino in las vegas. All and chris brockman asking the question. You just got him on. Your this is. This could be the most important question i've got now. I know you're gonna box the two three in the exact but can we throw in like third horse when we got that you know Let's go man. I don't know if brad charlie can get the distance known agenda maybe can suck up lately. You know what there's a hockey tie. They're known agenda owned by vinnie teresa viola. They also on the florida panthers. So let's let's let's. Let's throw the hockey in their ponies. Riches is brought me on okay Pucks ponies going out so let's go to three and i believe known agenda. I don't have funny. I believe known agenda is the sixers and then you know if if they don't win we'll just rip up the tickets and say the name vanbiesbrouck down on the ground or or you know what just Just charge it to my room over at the..

"See if they bite on something weird talking tree the raccoon was there ever any doubt in your at what point you're like i'm fighting with a giant tree. That isn't there. Well i know. I think it was weird. That he's made seem. We were all very You know quite a tune to the idea. This is a great In a franchise and of asli Everybody trusted James You know Jim's gone for joining in putting together and he should come again for for the third one or whatever you know but he definitely is a great talent. What is it about comeback movies too. Because obviously we'll put an asterix a bunch and they're all very well received people love these movies. So you've had your pretty fortunate fact that you're not just in one franchise that works. Even in many. That have really worked people of loved. Was it for you. Because we've heard. I think probably both sides of the coin. I don't wanna do compaq movies. I don't want to be involved in the studio process and all that but for you. It seems like you must enjoy it a little bit if you keep going well. Those those coming movies are fun to do. I mean this is the ultimate of you know place to be for for an actor in in ways that are in on what we do is playing house and really giving a comic book Sorta world you're giving carte blanche to be you know sort of Exist to you know to the to the fullest extent of of that character is your main. So there's a great fun in in being coming up coming films obviously it's sorta limited to that fantastic a world in which Almost seems like on realistic but yet speaks of reality being does it does. Yeah you've been in a lot like we mentioned a lot from concrete movies in some of them are like constantine were deep dark talking to the afterlife and stuff and some of them are fun in library for global constant people. Do i still think it's pretty well. But which common could have all the ones you've done. Did you think you had the most fun with. Which one is your favorite. I really really enjoy constant team. It was quite flavor. Forno can't fun. Yeah i really enjoy. Constantine but i Guardians was fun until the costume was. It'll start to become painful but some of those Comic books are not easy to do because again as we're doing them. We're discovering how to make them properly make them so a whole learning process that are going on for in on the filmmakers as much as the costume designers set designers. And all that. This is a new. I mean we're trying to create a world that doesn't exist for us. That we're trying to fantasize about so it's everything is all out of it's constantine was decades ago but there's a difference between i imagine dover decade. Yeah definitely over. A decade knows that and be in now that and making that now today will be quite Quite different you talked about making up a world and other movie you're in some of you might have heard the call gladiator. So that movie is infamous for having a very realistic built set. These huge like this big miniature. They made like a fifty four foot set of gloves. Call seem and stuff..

"'cause i i do think that fills the void for just on the surface level. Playing the stories are and at the end of the day. It's you know it's a kids movie or whoever the audience is like you know you. You know wanting overly complex story at the same time. I just don't think with any of these. You're going to get it because they just don't have much to work with. Yes so i. I do expect that going forward there. Probably i mean no. I don't know. I don't know we could do take our salon. Wouldn't what story you can you put behind that to make that light compelling i and you can make it entertaining but part of it just comes from the overall production in not necessarily from the plot itself which you know. It's going to get you from point to point b but the fun you have was the friends you need along. The friends i mean. Like the wardrobe zimmer use in the pieces in the set design and all that stuff like that that was a big reason. I didn't nail it on the head for this movie. I think I think it could have been really bad because the story itself would not have. I mean it wouldn't have gotten them there. There's got to be a way to do it. Though. 'cause i just like this was one. It was a little bit of a light bulb. Pieces were there. Yeah again i. Am i do this. This is it's thirty. I know it's what thirty bucks we watched it a screener so i that's the full disclaimer. Their side maybe. That's not justifiable for you. And that's that's fair for you know it's not a two dollar rental on youtube So i may not be just fine. But i think it's. It's a very enjoyable movie. Cool summer movie. Be like summer blockbuster. Whether you can watch at home on disney gloss so thumbs up for me i think the entertaining enough to definitely thirty bucks again as tough price. But it's also. I believe in theaters right pregnant for less than in theaters right now. Yeah go with multiple people that's where it starts to get expensive. That's the draw. Yeah i it depends on how bad you wanna see. Carell deville doer. Thing it is. I would probably recommend renting it if you think that this is something you may be able to watch again. Credit seen does crack me up though. It was a puppy in a box. Two of them steph song still rips though crew that is due. Ross in chandler. Call coming back to the bit one hundred pay off. "I was actually pretty pleased compared to how it could have panned out. Yeah i mean. Did you see the the pope mid the mid credit coming. No not at all in i. Just i don't it. It rearranges the hundred dalmatians timeline. Right because The the the song in the animated show is being composed while they were married right and he's composing the song while the both of them are separately getting two different dominations. He needed spoiled firm. Obsessed former schoolmate carell. The ville stops spying annoys the family in response. Rogers writes jazzy song to make fun for yet. Does reckon it a little bit though. Yeah one hundred one read. It is not happy they are going nuts so this is obviously this is. This is a prequel to the cartoon. Have to be clear. Because i do believe. Roger has a complete different job in the live. Action one right. Well i mean the live action with glenn. Close is more closely based off of the cartoon. I thought like i thought in the cartoon he was a composer is a video game designer. Yeah oh yeah remember. Thank you who plays him again. He's played by jeff. daniels man. How how the brain quickly forgets so the veggies goes to say. I mean. that wasn't too ridiculous but you know it is funny. We get to a point. Where you're you're you're waiting in the disney remakes for mitt fucking mid mid credit scene for the disney remake ago. Malik wonder what a little teaser will stinger. We're gonna get here and then you all they could do. Though right didn't even have to do it. They didn't have this. Yeah right. I thought i thought thing is pretty like cleverly with sympathy for the devil playing again like the music choices are on the nose. But i think that's fun and then she gets movie man. Yeah sorta yeah and work and that was. That was one of the things i did like about it. Though i think it drags a little bit. And i don't love to be love the beginning i think it drags touch in the middle for. Maybe it's being laid on a little too thick and heavy there. But i think in terms like fashion movie in a heist movie. I pretty damn well. And here's my one big question. Here is dave the kind of reviews that are negative. Keep saying and we said before it's like. Is this necessary. Why was this made. But i always try to not use the wireless dismayed thing against the movie. Like i think it's a totally different question than like. Is it a good movie. Like i think good movie. I don't the answer can be. Why was this made like it is made so review the movie as for what it is like. What do you think it should have been made or not. Though that shouldn't justify was good or not like this like this could have been the greatest movie of all time. This didn't need to be made. Right like commissioner fucking twenty. It just didn't clear that bar from me like it needed to like really show me that it was something beyond a money. Grab if that makes sense. Yeah i i. I know what you're saying An that's always the so the thing to think about with remakes and i've been able to rationalize it. By fracturing it out that like all these things are and put them into to put put the involvement of everybody. You know contributed movie in two buckets. One is the decision to make the movie and everything that happens at a corporate level is one hundred percent completely monogram. There's no other way to rationalize it. They are taking an established intellectual property. And they're trying to make money off of it now. You know ninety nine percent of movies that way and that's fine. That's just the way. The entertainment industry is the other bucket is despite that there are people involved in this From from emma stone to know to the director to the writers to the costume designers. That i think it is possible for them to you know. Make something that like. They feel proud of or they enjoy doing or are using older creative uses to do and yet it's obviously it's not what you call like cinema or art But you know we got to be honest and say this is a a very corporate decision to make this production. But at the same time i give i give us seventy because i thought i thought that it seemed like the folks who made it actually cared about it and you know with these disney remix. I i i think like i think this one had the benefit of it. Keep saying you know. I'm sorry guys but it's going off of source material. But they're given more rights based run with in terms of what they can do like then on the there's much established cannon for corolla whereas when you had something with johnny fabs and the lion king Blind cake in king remain classic line cake. Line cake yeah king remake. Obviously i don't think we. We love that as much as we thought we would. Because what he had to do..

"I like movies that million saw but that that superseded the genre you know what. I mean like my biggest a compliment that i love is when i get people that don't even like horror movies. But i love the conjuring. I think you know i. I love movies that involves story that have all character that involve a relationship or humor because the more that you care about these people then when they're in peril than were than than we're really pulling for them So those are the stories more resonated with me. but it's it's. It's i do a lot of your easily with me. Because i've been both insidious and and conjuring branch is is like. They they end up. Usually younger kids gravitate towards gravitate towards the insidious because of all the kind of creatures in more supernatural stuff. You know a little older crowd. That's even religious at all as okay contract. I can't do really because very personal. What your taste is the You mentioned james. And you're kind of not telling them wrong. I feel like are you. James guy knows what i was like. There's a director actor actress combo like. Would you consider yourself be like like. It's it's james. Want patrick wilson. Like you're kind of guy is that seems to be the case votes movies. That would start off command to so this movie. So i mean do. Oh we're great. Do oh for sure i mean. I wouldn't want to lock him into just movies with middle aged white guy. So do your thing. And i also offer work with a whole bunch of different directors but there is something so special and i certainly do think carpenter and russell to me through like that that combo i adored so i any sort of similarity to that any sort of you. It's i have deep reverence for for those combos and you see it. I mean i think you see. With a lot of directors. I love working with directors. A second time if you get the third and fourth. It's even better. Because i think they they. They know your wheelhouse but they wanna push you. Let's try this with you And that takes director to really know you personally. And i've had a few that sort of a work on me on something go. i'd like. i want to do something totally different than this with. You have done that. Joe carnahan and other director a couple of others that i've worked with twice and i i. I love that. I think that direct relationship is really important. But hey if i'm james's guy. I'm certainly happy we're going to number six..

"First time in history of the united states eighth conjuring movie conjuring cinema everything the cinematic universities. Days worth you've been in now. Now though. I mean it has to be great knowing that not just a demand but a fan base like i feel. You couldn't have imagined this when you first started like you'd be so many deep into this thing that i i'm sure wasn't intended to be like this all these years later right. There's no way. I mean i thought i thought if we did the first one right that we'd be back for two maybe maybe three. I did not see either tentacles of the whole universe. I just i didn't but it's also it's also you know as an actor you. You feel like anybody if you know what i'm doing next week you know it's like you can't you can't think we're we're we're so used to try. We're we're so trained to go job by job. I've spent thirty years of holidays in my mother saying. Are you going to be home for thanksgiving. And it's like april mom. I don't know what i'm doing. Nothing personal can we revisit. This like september maybe october so i couldn't fathom you know eight nine movies in and all that stuff but i did with respect i did i had done city s with with james one and so when we were discussing this and sort of the the idea of following the heroes versus the villain which is what usually they run their. Course whether it's you know halloween's or freddie or night ronaldson always fought saw airways following the villain so so if you switched it and followed the heroes than you can have different villains each movie basically for setting it up like that then you thought you know what if we don't screw this up. We could do several. So that's we're glad we're here. Is there a different. Feel to jumping back on a set for something like this. I things changed from movie to movie. But you know this is not like you. Hopping into a franchise hopping into a brand new movie. Like his looks like a tv set. Feel we're like oh it's like. The gang is back together for this next adventure. Yeah yeah it is. I mean certainly. With this time we have a different director. Michael shod so so james took a back seat and is producing it. But he really shepherd it from the beginning and you know his ideas for story and similar producers. And obviously with vera. And steve coulter's a few actors that have that have stayed with us the entire franchise but yea in movie world. It's the closest to feeling like an episodic tv where you can kind of come back. so it's it's. It's an unusual feeling really when you just do movies because you're so used to wrapping. After a few months it was great and used to. I used to my twenty s go. Hey a jimmy gets. You just realize that's never going to happen so it's just like on the next one whenever that's going to be on these. We actually do get to see each other again. How do you feel as an actor about simultaneous release. Because we've talked a lot of actors have been doing stuff with warner in like some of them getting some tapes release and hbo. Max and with other services. Well because i think what's certain. John was of movies. Big blockbusters and i think especially with horror there so built for the theater experience for me like i was looking at c. Screening of of the devil made me do it a few days ago and being in an environment like a theater where you can't control like your environment around you. I think it just adds to that element of horse so much. More than if you're in your house you can turn on your legs. You can just close your laptop you can do whatever the how do you feel about an again as an actor..

And i want to talk about the friends reunion we will we will talk. Okay okay weird episode. We've never had an episode like this before things the stars aligned to certain way we will be doing news we will be doing a review of correla but we will also be doing two interviews. One of them is patrick. Wilson were emmy talking about the new conjuring movie at a lot of phone. Patrick wilson has many. Also we are finally airing the interview with one jarman. Han soo that is right. We interviewed giant han soo in march of twenty twenty We were told. Hold the interview until a quiet place. Part two comes out little. Did we know it came out last week. So we finally can play the interview with giant han soo. I don't even know what we say yet. I was going to listen to it. But i figured i'd rather just here after the fact because there's gotta be some things that i'm not saying. They aged poorly. There's got gotta be like things that we talked about. They're just completely irrelevant i don't i don't know i i remember. That was the first time that we had had a guest where we didn't like shake hands like. Oh yeah we're right now and then go figure So yeah sorry. Interviewed giant han soo. That'll be airing along with our interview. With patrick wilson and we'll be talking carello as well but trill i'll let you start it out. Friends reunion the big net. The big friends reunion. Hbo max which by the way that having rotten tomatoes score is maybe the most useless rotten tomatoes score. I mean it's the friends reunion Either one hundred zero zero for you depending on who you are it it It felt like a big funeral. The did you watch it. It felt like a funeral sad sad in a bad way. I obviously we're going for the nostalgic thing but like you almost expected like okay. Matthew leblanc what's it like to be staring directly into our devoid and successful friend. He did not he was the biggest problem with it. In my opinion matlab james corden correct. Yeah because matt leblanc was the best part of the entire thing like him. Just being like okay. Yeah we're back here. I guess this is cool. I thought lisa kudrow seemed like she was the least into it. Which which makes sense. Because i also think like she's probably like one of the more talented ones on that cast like. Maybe you think so. Yeah i think. Lisa kudos great. I mean i i have no problems with any of the cast members but like Like when they did that table read the next kind of funny but like she likes nap into it like she just went right into it. So you may. Maybe i'm picking up the wrong vibe. Like maybe she just kind of like you know we're here but You know they. They did some silly things in it right. They had lady gaga. Come on and do Smelly cat with with lisa kudrow and that was kinda fun but more than anything. It is a Something that was meant to pull at your heartstrings..

"I'm not targeting you but i think when you're single. There was a lot of alone time. And the i would imagine families if your family that likes each other probably normalized it a little bit more because you have some social interaction. It's definitely weird to be single this time. Yeah although you know. I had an i had without the school as a focus. I think i would have gone crazy. And without you guys coming to see you can't manageable. You're a huge circle. You could have bubbled up with anybody. You had like probably yeah dozen people who would have been great but speed quarantine buddies with them. Well i don't know or just like make pinky promise to like. Let's hang out together. I don't know. I could name a whole list of people you talk to you. Guys girls whatever. Yeah but people have their own lives. They wouldn't want to shake up the time now. I mean just like visit okay. we'll be each other's people. Promise you go anywhere. I won't go anywhere and we can hang out well. This is back a little bit because happy. Yeah that's what i'm saying. I think so. Many of us were happy to be home. And just like chill and dr projects at home and We just did. The interview of st peter's he even said god. Put me in my room. You know i had to go to my room for the corentin as we all did. And it's like and that's when he say mars In a different interview. It's cute because it is kind of like that like okay. I'm forcing you all stay home. What are you going to get done what he had to look at. How are you going to deal with whatever so you did school. Which is amazing. Yeah i was very it was like it opportunity for me. I was so happy to. I've loved that the world slowdown in. I felt like we're all in it together. So i didn't feel this fomo of something happening out there. Yes not was that but it was like it was more for me like i should be doing something. Like dad's always. I should be working everybody else's at work. I should be work. I do but everyone together. And like yay got my. I've got the golden tech. It's true i know very true. I'm looking well. I pulled up this interview or article. This is from the new york times. And i did want to talk about. We talked a little bit before. And now but the nervous person's guide to re entering society. Right because i think a lot of us are probably like you know. We embraced staying home. We have gotten a little too comfortable staying home and now we have to kind of get back out there now that we've had our vaccines or whatever i don't know. And so what are you do. And how much of it is anxiety. How much is is agoraphobia. Is something we can slap a label on. I don't know So they're recommending experts have said if you don't want to jump into the pool dip your toe in first so you can't just jump out there which makes sense right. Have you tiptoes what. What's your latest toe dipping. Ben i dipped into a hike dipped. Yeah a few hikes with friends. And i also tony gleason one of them. I think he listens. Yeah tony here's our illustrator episode and blake. I don't think he listens anyway. So yes i've done that. And then i did a social outing to seal beach to see the jennifer mountains right abby What about you you've done you worked out today. I'm yeah i'm going back to the gym. It's like very spaced out. Though and you have to sign up. Beforehand wear masks so it feels very isolated canal unsure but it is indoors. So that's there's that kids are doing so nervous now not at all. I've come full circle with this. Because i used to be a little bit more nervous but i'm not i really. What mandate confident shot really being vaccinated. Feels like can't touch me now. It's invincibility thing. Which i know is kind of false because there's variants but i don't know and it just feels good to be back. It just feels good. Having that freedom of i can go anywhere now and even stop site. Would you fly right now or do you feel oh you did you just kinda how. What's your name pam. Okay the the thing that does make me nervous that my kids aren't vaccinated and this article brings set up to It's kind of disingenuous to say you can't have any friends over. Meanwhile here we are gonna happen around a little bit So what do you do I don't know what is it. Where are the kids at though. What's likely years being so. Many of them are back at school. So my kids. The junior high and high school boys are both back four days a week and you know they go eight. Am to two o'clock about and i pick them up and they're masked up and they have to use hand sanitizers much as but they're not really on top of it at the school. They're kind of like we leave it up to the kids. You have to take their temperature before they leave home. They're really becoming more hands off. And i pack them at hand sanitizer. But they're boys. They barely flush the toilet. I don't know if they're using so when they get in the car. I'm always like squirt wash up. But what's the likelihood of them getting it. I don't really know. I know that younger kids were. We get reports from the schools and week. There's probably hamdullah cases to three to five her whip for the teachers. Not the kids right. They don't say who it is. A person out our school got coded a community based or school based. I've been disraeli out of this. Because they didn't want to be a hyper thing but in but just didn't so our younger because before it was kids weren't don't need to worry at all. So where are we in. Well i think they always need to worry. They will catch it and but they can. It's almost more like a flu. And they can fight it. Although there are a few that have underlying conditions usually that than it does become a big problem for them and if you have died and then they can also transmit it so there are of course concerns with it but it does feel like now that we are safer and we were the ones a little bit more more safer. Yeah and then you kind of bring your kids along with it to like guess what we did. We got disneyland tickets. You're gonna meet us there for dinner. You're not meeting for dinner to dinner the night before just dinner. We'll go outside summer but we're going to do it in. It's at twenty five percent capacity and they have it all spaced out. I watched the video. They have like plexiglass stuff everywhere. I think it's all it's out. How busy is it gonna be insane. It's at one quarter capacity versus one hundred percent. Thanks for getting me a ticket. I didn't think that you would want to go. You're in the middle school. You just made a big cry about. I would talk with my god. I tried i thought about abdin. Maybe she does want to. Then i can give it as the same with the vaccine when you Got it for mom and then it didn't live with us. I couldn't get you the vaccine. I gotta for mom because she lived with us. Sorry always anyone misses the little duckling syndrome. Don't wait for the anxiety to go away. This is about reentering society. Feeling anxious doesn't mean you're endangered doesn't mean something is wrong It's a normal part of entering post pandemic life. That's what this is called. A you can do calming validating soft. Talk i speak to yourself it self reassuring voice. Let's do it weans. Give me some meditations. You will do fine. It will be great in life. What kind of world do you wanna live in..

"Of my life. Where now have you was this new for you or is this typical well. I've you know when you like you taking your drugs recently. You've got to talk about the take. Take cold medicine. You take you know antibiotics and i think i took steroids for some kind of it was like prednisone own for two thing or something. I felt that same like our little irish boxer boo boo okay. Interesting this is the side of it. I had this happen. I mean i'm trying to think of a physical thing. I put into my body that made me feel that way. I don't know maybe we don't pay attention to anything. I don't get this. I feel everything that happens around. My body's weird socks can't wear if i put on sensitive person. You're a highly sensitive people your hsp. Is that a thing 'cause i definitely have feelings and The jury's out anew you do you stop. I do too but you go overboard with the animals and the i dunno people ants. Don't pick it now. This is what i did yesterday. Which i can't keep doing this. There's a black widow spider on the cushion of my teak lounge outside and it was underneath there instead of killing it. I let it go run down the driveway. But then i have a cat and run down and so long run from your cushions. Yes what'd you do. Hurt it where you hurting a black widow. It was doing it along. I was going. And i. I just had taken a bite. Was it tofu. So i had a bite of tofu and then i turn the thing around because i had a suspicion. You know how you feel. Something might be weird. So i took four. Lay down up. The cushion looked under there. There's a black widow. I knew it. And then so i went and tofu all over. Bits of tofu and a spider stuck there. And then i blew. It blew it and then i said i can't keep the tofu wing because i knew i was half blowing because i feel so i fully blew. I blew it all over the back of the thing. I didn't care and then i finally blue tofu do. Yeah and then. The guy hit the ground. And i went so he would run that way down. The driveway bloom down. The driveway boomed on the driveway. Because you didn't and kill him now. Why not just stomp on him. I don't want that spider guilt and anyone bad spider karma although is it karma are you worried about next lives this part of it. I mean. didn't you say at a little indian friend who won't kill bugs uh-huh little indian friend. Did i just do something. That was demeaning. And what if. She's a large taking too many sociology. Classes she's great no and she's littler the me she comes up to here and yet she does she's hindu and she doesn't believe in killing any other living beings because of that and also it's cool. She said that they have to spray. You know and clean in their house and by doing that. They know that their Killing little bugs bacteria and stuff like that so to counter that to balance that they go outside and they sprinkle flower each day Because it's a food for little bugs really so it's kind of for those of we kill. Were feeding those outside. I like that. Yeah do that kind of. Wow but you know about interesting so but okay. You're judging right now we're just gonna come back. I could tell you. I'm just questions. I just have questions. No i don't care. I i think it's fine I'm just curious because you you are a little obsessed about black widows because they're using them so scared okay. Will you listening. Those would be the one you'd have an exception for him want to kill. No well i will. I spray them off in the. Don't go outside at night. Sometimes because well things always happen. I went out to sit there with my friend who came over. We went in sat down to eat a burrito outside on the table and he made fun of me. My friend blake he goes. Ooh you of the spiders. Because i walk out like this does it. Hit me in the face. Those big garden spiders off although if you walk through one of their or are you kidding me. There's nothing worse member. The one we plankton the can so scary. Anyway i went. And i said he was like. Oh you and your spider thing. And i'm really not that crazy but in then i go and i sit down with the bare feet and it's starting to turn dusky. You know dark and then I looked down right next to my foot. Guess what there was far quito black widow right by my foot. And that's why. And he goes this spider and i go. What is this red hourglass on the chest. But unless you're sitting there denote the number one black widow injury is from back in the day in the annals of your balls slack widow injuries. Did you know balls. They would build a web nest in the on your balls. Listen close in the seat of a porta potty. But the outhouse right back in the pioneer days and so unsuspecting farmer would go sit and be ball. All his stuff is is hanging down. I guess what's right there to bite it balls genus so there penis injuries with black widow. Spiders all the time. I'll have to verify this with factcheck. Black widows or lateral deckers has. I don't often invade homes but they do like to inhabit structures like sheds barns outhouses and unfortunately for those who lived before indoor plumbing was commonplace black widows like to retreat under the seats of outdoor toilets. Perhaps because the smell attracts so many flies them to catch men who use outhouses should be aware of this disturbing little factoid. Most black widow bites are inflicted on the penises. Thanks tendency to dangle threatening in spiders territory beneath the seat a one thousand nine hundred forty four case study published in the annals of surgery noted that of twenty four black widow by cases reviewed eleven bytes on the penis one was on the scrotum and four were on the buttocks. A full. Sixteen of the twenty four victims were bitten while sitting on the toilet from thought. Co dot com cheeky. But yes. i think that i would imagine a Common thing and that part scared me but my point is you have to be sitting in one spot for while the spider to come over and find. It's not like you're going to touch a cushion and they're going to get you right away so i think your foot is in their web. They're going to think that you are a moth and that's your show and they will attack. Well i don't think it works that way. Though they're very smart they can tell the difference between a moth in tow and unless there therefore why they don't run towards your toe come on all right. Here's another story. When i went to get my bike out of the garage. Ra hot peewee. Herman bike and going to the garage. And i always have feelings about these things. Because so i went to go stand on my bake. Guess who was there right. We stand on your bike on the seat. Are you doing here..

Pedophilia weird like see story. And then there's a beast story with like his. Let's see starting to be story. There's a as story. Which is the story. Okay on the movie seinfeld movie on show. Don't well that's one likes the perez which didn't really even the thing that bothered me about this movie. First of all it was just gnarly. That whole weird subplot thing didn't really tie into. They could've done the whole movie around the sexy patrick wilson. It could have. Just been all patrick wilson and that would have been maternity hit. Yes so many people this too many of right. So what is it about him. That was his character is look at that. Looks just look at his Naked torso joke back. Oh okay regular when you look at it. Tell me what you think. I don't know it looks. How could you say let's not objective i am. It's all right now. I am here to say that. I feel like you're finally coming around to the blonde hair blue eyed type which is usually my type. Although lately we've been trading don't discriminate. I like all good now. He has a nice high forehead. Is that okay with you are. Here's mouser now. sorry. I'm being like black and white though logically. I don't you don't discriminate. It's all about the character. And the look and i don't know that guy so i'm basing it off of a couple interviews either okay now but it's funny because you will notice things like you'll go. He's got a weird tooth or his hairline always got a receding. I don't notice it. I noticed there is. I thought you're making a job at me and my weird tooth but go ahead. I'm so excited don't do that. That's weird well okay. this is good though. all right. so you're feeling your your libidos getting Do you think it had to do with your second shot. Do you think you're feeling Like wild and wooly because now you're safe to go back into the community. Maybe i think life is picking up. So maybe there's but i was telling you about the second shot a van. I had this weird reaction two days later that i like angry at felt like steroids. Royd range really weird. Yeah i told you i. We just talked about the center. Were you asking me pretending like you didn't know no no but i didn't know it was a steroid thing i thought you were. Just i don't know what's in it. But i figured you were annoyed because you said you had inflammation spot at the injection site and you said it was like a big eg so i thought maybe you're in pain and whenever someone's in pain the everything's annoying so you'd know wrote a couple of texts that were real short with people and now i was. I had a couple friends that said. Hey are you in. La lets you know. And i was like. I can't handle all the world opening at once center and i like robak. I'm not available until may twentieth. I'm at school. i'm just too busy. I can't and they just wrote like. Hey you in town. I go here and it was like this. I think that's i think that's what it was. Because i talked to another person who had madonna. That's what it was. And they said i have not put anything crappy into my body except for food and coffee and i got really angry just one day and then it made me really low and a good shot necas two days ago musical. That's gotta be it music. Nah that wasn't it. But i've never had that experience in all.

Summer Movie Preview

"The movies of summer twenty nineteen. What is out there? What's going to happen? And I've got to start by saying you think maybe that summer begins on your calendar near the end of June. But not in Hollywood everything in Hollywood begins early because summer is when they make all the money that they can make all year. So officially April twenty six it's the beginning of summer because the movie that opens on that day is called a ventures endgame. This is three hours long. Nobody's gonna care. I predict that not only will this be the biggest box office hit of the summer, but it will be the biggest box office hit of the year. You remember what happened last time all the ventures or at least half of them seem to turn to dust than die mean? Now have those ventures that are left to signing if they can beat the evil fan. He so evil will the adventures be wiped out forever. Look how much money did these movies make I'm saying why would you basically kill the golden goose? This is going to continue in some way, we all know it. So what else is out there? I'm looking at my list. There's a major thing going on now of in terms of taking the Disney slash Pixar animated classics and turning them into live action movies. So we have The Lion King line king. One of the most successful Disney animated movies ever is now being done as a live action movie. You have Donald Glover being Simba. You have James Earl Jones actually being this father and the same scores. They're the same using. And it's directed by John Fabbro who did such a great job with the jungle book doing the same thing that I think we can all feel optimistic about what's going to happen. And then we have Aladdin when we remember the. Animated movie who do we remember the most? We remember Robin Williams doing the voice of the genie. This time doing the voice of the genie and being the genie. We have Will Smith. So big stars in this big kind of thing, they tried it with Dumbo earlier this year, and that didn't quite work the way they wanted to do. But we're talking about lying king and the Ladan so big deal. Now, what terms of old fashioned animation is out there. I don't know if you're like me. But there's a Toy Story four toy stories always been my favorite of those Pixar. There's something about Woody and buzz light year, and you're probably saying to yourself. Well, and Toy Story three didn't it happen. That would he said goodbye, Andy. And he went to college, and it was all over remember. There was little Bonnie Andy gave his toys too. So we're going to have little Bo peep comeback. I think when you look at what goes on in Toy Story, you have that kind of feeling of goodness of field. Goodness, but done with all the magic of Pixar. So if those adventures out there are going to have a run for their box office money. I would say Toy Story. Four is going to be the one that does it. So what else we now have men in black men in black international? You're not gonna see Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones anymore. But this time you have Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson. As new agents who are out there in this men in black universe. Sometimes you say to yourself do I want more of that? And you never know to actually see it. And I can only tell because I haven't seen this movie yet. But it looks like there's chemistry there. Then we have Spiderman far from home. You know, the Spiderman franchise never seems to end either. But we have Tom Holland who played him last time charmingly, I think, but now spider man, Peter Parker. They're taking a European vacation and the villain that they run up against is mysterious. Played by Jake Jilin. All I just think they're still some special sauce in the Spiderman universe, and I expect this one to also be a major hit. Godzilla Godzilla king of the monsters. I see that. And I go how much can they work this poor God's, but you can look at the trailer and see it. I like the idea that aside from viewer for Megan who is in it, Billy Bobby Brown from stranger things is in its she the dynamo. So if God Zillah can basically meet his match betting on little Millie to do something with that Hobbes and Shaw, this is fast and the furious you remember the rock of playing the the law man, and Jason stefon playing the outcast and the rebel these guys. I don't know if this is Hollywood kind of thing, but they tell us that Jason stadium and the rocked wing Johnson. Don't really like each other. And maybe that what the reason we love these characters and show so much because we liked that conflict. I don't know it seems a PR stunt to me, but I'm going to be there because this cars. There's the rock and their Stefa. So you're going to be there to and you know, it, oh and the big deal. Now, everybody has just in the midst of welcoming game of thrones back to their lives. The last season of that. You can't bear to live in a world where you can't see the stark sisters anymore. Well, now, you can dark Phoenix, which is part of the X men universe. Bring Sophie Turner, and she's Jean grey this character that we've seen before. But she's this younger version of her and she split between the good side of her and the dark Phoenix side of her. And to me, these girls are tremendously talented in what they do on game of thrones. And I think we're going to keep seeing them through the years, but her sister her at least game of thrones sister, maisy Williams is in new mutants part of that universe too. But in this case, they're all new characters to do this. They're all gonna be in the X men universe. Doing it. So that's it for the blockbusters that are out there. You've got everything from animation to comic book characters to everything. And that's the stuff that you hear about that your friends are going to talk to you about. But there's gotta be other stuff to part of summer is comedy of. I think we all really have gone through a long winter. And we're saying make us laugh give us something that will just make say, whatever. I can just sit back and not think. So what's there for that? There's a movie called longshot. This is a movie in which Charlotte Theran is playing the secretary of state who is running for president. But falling Manley in love with who staff throw in. Okay. It's like, a beauty and the beasts thing going on here. Seth Rogan is her speechwriter all of her people say what are you doing? You're going to destroy your career. But no, it's love. And if you don't laugh at the combination of Seth Rogan, Charlie staring. There's nothing left for you. And then we have the hustle. The hustle is a movie that used to be called dirty run scoundrels where the old days it was about conman. Now, it's con- women. They're played by Anne Hathaway and rebel Wilson. And they basically go all cross the continent finding rich people whose money they can steal pretty people. Glamour? What's wrong with that? Oh, book smart. This is directed by the actress Olivia Wilde, and it's about girls graduating from high school and saying we spent all our lives with our head in the books. Everybody else is going to parties and having fun. So they're going to do that beanie Feldstein plays one of them. She is the sister of Jonah hill and real life and Jona hill did super bad. This is kind of the women's version of super bad everything in it works, like a charm. You're really going to like that one. Then we have a movie called late night. This is about the TV talk show world and Emma Thompson plays. Probably the only woman on late night TV who hosts her own show, but she's got only men on her writing staff, and then she hires Mindy Kaeling who also wrote the screenplay of this movie, very very funny about what happens when you put women into what basically has been. A male bass they end of doing this. And the combination of Mindy king writing for the great Emma Thompson and watching them perform together is just so you've got to see that one to my favorite kind of thing. The dead. Don't die. You've got to admit that is a great and funny title. It comes from the indie, directing great, Jim Jarmusch. And it's cut people like Bill Murray and Adam driver by zombies. Okay. If Bill Murray is going to go out there and get laughs. Sizing up zombies. I'm going to be there watching him do it. So we have a good chance for laughs horror. I've got to talk about it now because it's not just the Cajun. Oh movie harm movie that makes money any makes people talk and get happy. It's they're everywhere. Now child's play do you? Remember the old child's play movies where you had Chucky. The crazy nut doll that. Always terrified me. Just. This doll who looks kind of little bit weird and freckly, but he has a voice on him like a longshoreman guess who's doing the west now of Chucky Marquel? Mark Hamill, Luke Skywalker. And from what I've seen of it in. It's just been a little bit of it. It's wonderfully malevolent, so I'm going to be there to see that one. Then there's Annabel comes home. Another doll another possess doll also part of the conjuring universe where a viewer for Megan Patrick Wilson. Or the demon knowledge is that tried to make sure that nothing bad can come of this horrible doll Annabelle, but Bill will destroy and I will be there to watch her. Do it then them that follow their certain titles that get me them that follow really gets me? And it's about a snake handling church in Appalachia. No, they there are there colts. And they're almost religious cult where people pray. But they have the snakes, and they hold the life thinks pass them on. And you're thinking, what are you tell me about this like CD movie Har movie will guess who the star of this movie is the freshly minted Oscar winner Ogilby Coleman from the favourite, she's tossing those snakes around so irresistible. I think you're gonna love it. Then there's the Nightingale. See it's does not stop. It's har- everywhere. The night and gas from the director, Jennifer Kent who did a thing a couple of years ago called the baba Duke, which gave millions of people nightmares. And now she's back there following a woman who is chasing a convict got to be hooked. And then midsummer midsummer directed by REI Astor who last year gave us hereditary with Toni Collette, a really scary movie. Now, it's at a nine day Swedish holiday where everybody celebrates. But they'll be no celebrating after this one. So we. Got a lot of stuff out there. That's just going to scare us witless. And I couldn't be happier. All right. When summer comes. We think of all the things I've just talked to you about blockbusters comedy horror action, the rock of everything is there, but every even in a season like this. It's all about money and getting us into our theater, there are those movies that can come out entertain us. And also will hear about them at the end of the year when the Oscar nominations come out and the number one movie on that list, and the one that I haven't seen anything of India's of anyone that saw even anything past the trailer is called once upon a time in Hollywood it is written and directed by Quentin Tarantino its stars in order to Capri, oh as a TV star on the wane in Los Angeles. And Brad Pitt as his stunt double whoever thought of
