"I'm like well I wonder if I could do that. And so I started practicing that and I got pretty damn good at it. So I've got multiple breakdowns with, you know Patrick Warburton type, So I kind of just, you know, start throwing a little extra Warburton in there. And the key is if you want to do that, you've got to squint. You know, Ifyou're not squinting, you can't get the tone, so I gotta tell, you know, it's a real pleasure. And you know, I could just get a tone on tone it down a little bit, and I just had to Sprinkle a little bit of that in there sometimes. So that's what I did for this character. And they liked that a lot. And then you know, and then my neck. My first big on camera part was ah, small little part on man with the plan with Matt LeBlanc, and it was a real treat. And they're also looking for a young Patrick Warburton type you know, for, like, you know, like, kind like putty in my milk the hell out of it, you know, get out of it, But you know, it's still say it's a catch 22 in this, I wouldnt trade That blessing for anything, and I feel so incredibly fortunate, And he's a wonderful coach, too. You know, we work with each other on auditions, and he's been so tremendously helpful. But, you know, I don't want my casting to be entirely be, you know, Patrick Warburton type, So I'm also in a similar vein to Gabriel. Trying to make my own identity is talent, Warburton, but I don't mind that association of the at all. I love being in an acting family, you know, but I also want to have my own and that's Ah. And I have some other project that I'm working on right now. Making that happen. My guests on the zoom line our men Warburton, Father, Patrick, who you know, from Seinfeld, men in Black, too, and Lemony Snicket fame and his son's talent and Gabriel, who are not only following in his footsteps to some degree, but carving their own lanes as well. More on this Sunday with Warburton men in just a moment if I am 6 40 live everywhere on the I Heart radio app. Now to Dani Max in a CAF. I newsroom for an update. Series wasn't long reign now. Neither was there a dental with Patrick warburton newly accommodate yeah yeah you were going to go on forever. I think that the call or tick is like a cult classic kind of cult following so I think that a lot of times they're really short run but people just really love it like we said it was a great. "And it's gone now or even that I've heard you talk about police squad with regard to the first shore a live action version. Yeah. And like police squad which begat the naked gun movies is like one of the funniest things ever agree as ten trillion jokes, and none of them. None of those jokes really sell out the took the tone shows vary. Very consistent true. Everything that happens. Proceeds according to the reality is consistent, right? But there's no emotional stakes at all in at least quiet. It's really just. As long series of jokes that fits the format of police procedural that were familiar with. Right. And there's a faction right? Yeah. Yeah. But I, I agree like in the case of and the and the previous live action with Patrick Warburton functioned, more in that mean or in that area. Right. And the fifteen intervening years of studying, which is what I did, I studied character story and. The mechanics of storytelling. So when the engineering and the kind of conception of how to make show like this work today in an environment that has too much content. It says too much content. That's just our environment. Everyone is anx anxious about what they haven't. They have a lot that they haven't seen. I can't watch the tick. I got four things. I'm not watching now. You know that's the universe were stepping into what's required is a matter, trying to watch catastrophe sees see. I mean there's a lot and and it's good. There's a lot. It's an explosion of stuff and a lot of it is more intimate personal and relevant than we're accustomed to because we were coming off the teat of broadcast television, which did not tailor itself to individuals, it, it made individuals Taylor themselves to a broad demographic. So we're dazzled. We're. We're over come and in that universe. What can be done? Well, the only things that last catastrophes a good example. There's something so idiots in critic and personal about those people that when the flicker stops and the story stops for the moment, a month later, you'll be like, how are they are they? Okay, how are they doing? That's what's necessary in order to persist in this environment. Like, I and I think we've pulled off a pretty good version of that because we have so much absurd in that we have to get through and enjoy before you. Can kind of look back and go wait. But I actually care little bit about Arthur, and his sister, about Arthur's family about the tick and Arthur about the ticket his own identity. Are they? Okay. How they doing? Are they going to be okay, what's going to happen next? That's like that's I think, part of what makes television. Series function. Besides the fact that superheroes are your job. Do you have a different relationship to superheroes? Now as a middle-aged man, then you did as a kid or an adolescent. Yes. Yes. And I think that's partly because I'm in a society that I believe is beginning to have a different or has evolved in its relationship to superheroes. You know we're talking about those three phases. There's like the early childhood, there's adolescents, and then there's the sort of like, oh, is the world, really like this hot, dammit? Characterize that one is maybe the freshman year of cough. Yes. There you go. Oh, god. Does it seem strong? Right. But the when you look over the cliff and you realize what, what the view is right. And that's a dark betrayal of those two prior stages. Right. Adolescence is so turbulent because you start to get a sense of the cliff is coming and then you look over the cliff, and then the rest of life is how do we get down at or whatever, you know, so my relationship with superheroes, I had wish fulfillment I was like everybody else, I wanted to be Batman. I wanted to be superman. I wanted to fly I wanted to have power those desires were channeled by that entertainment into. I also am told and began to understand I wanna have in having power the ability to help others and that was a good message..

"I started doing chrome Goggin confined gloves. Joan europe. All right, Thursday night for dinner it is. I'll tell the kids. All right. Bye. Bye. That's a high point of action for the take. I wanna play the original live action version of the show is well, this was short lived in ran on, on FOX in two thousand and one and the lead on that was Patrick Warburton, one of the I mean, you couldn't you couldn't find a performer. I love more than Patrick Warburton. And so, basically, the tick is gonna prank call the bad guy who's the terror? Yeah. His name is Tara, but it's two thousand and one so there's caller ID, and so the terror can see who's calling, and then tracks them down bunch to Arthur, chagrin. There. You are hiding underground plucking the strings of your dark web of fear like a spidery. Herp. Tear, you face the his fearless site kick. Arthur, we'll put an end ear reign of. Your reign of just took my drowsy. He will never sleeps, Mr Lee on one hundred twelve years old. I'm done Fernado off quit ler. Talk to me that can't quit ler under tear lewd. Gas mention my name, but he'll protect my on that. Right. You big weenie. These amazing. What's, what's Russia about Warburton? That is also what's special about Serafinowicz. Who's, you know, a man of thousand voices is, is, this instrument and is also true of Adam west is like this instrument is so absurd. But in imbued with such sincerity. Yes. Like, if you think of potty on Seinfeld, or Johnny Johnson on NewsRadio whatever Patrick Warburton character is your favorite, the narrator of California adventure of flying over California. Whatever that, right? It's like there is this inherent absurdity to it. And he knows where the jokes are nails them. But there is also like such a deep real sweet sincerity to it. Yes. Yeah. And, and something weirdly comforting in them. I mean I. Think the ticket, especially this most recent version the Amazon version happens to also just be an examination of gender as it turns out, and it started the first season, the first gender to look at in superhero is male and from Adam west to Patrick Warburton to Peterson finales. They all command the booming voice of authority. They could all do movie Taylor, voices all day, if they wanted, right? And that's a certain that's the sound of institutional authority, culturally, speaking, like for whatever reason. That's what it's male voice. It's commanding booms, and it has almost a dad like thority. But I feel like I really love these different guys. We're talking about, including towns, and Coleman who did the voice of the original on the. Cartoon there's like a door in the back of that. And all this like, like you're saying this kind of sweet sincerity and love and a little bit of vulnerability is able to come up through that. And that place is just really interesting to me that, like it's a character that could wear many different lake Dudley. Do. Right. Is basically the same thing. You know, he just doesn't realize it even more with Ben edlund still to come. Don't go anywhere. Bensman working with the tick for thirty years has worked on a bunch of other shows and movies during that time to how his relationship with this character. He created thirty years ago changed over the decades. The answer after the break, it's suppose for maximum fun dot org and NPR..

I would like to expand to Doak very Chanel. I'm not very timid anymore. I am a man not that meek man that. I was when I went in. I saw many harsh things while car serrated like death row inmates. "At the ninety nine cents store, and I was buying some bonhomie cleanser because I only like cleanser from the nineteen twenties and on the side there it had the same kind of president's message got knee issues wanna talk to us about anything right to Bon AMI. I feel the same way. Like, I why invite that opening Wayne fight that criticism. Would you advertise that you know, I understand the trucking companies raft to go? How's my driving the insurance company made? Him. Ame think, they're liable. If they don't open it up to dialogue about their cleanser while the guy's name on. There was smudged. He had one of these his name was Gordon brew car the fourth or Gordon breun bar the fifth, and it was smut. Right. And I couldn't get a take on his name. And I thought well, I'll write him, you know, he wants to hear from me. And he was so excited that he wrote me back, and we got into a whole thing in my mother saw this and goes like, this guy's voice shape. The new he's, you know, I said, well, who's writing starch company and raving and unloading on your problems, right anyway, that kind of started I thought maybe, you know, what really put it over from me was the gas company sent me, you know, they're always sending you pamphlets and the gas, and they said if you have any issues with us right to the gas company, and I said, what can you say? I said because I said, I'm probably the only person that's reading your pamphlets. But I'm missing the set from nineteen Eighty-eight with all of your gas. All stars perhaps you can anyway, it got it got me into this thing. And then people were answered. Me. And I thought, you know, well, let me let me do this and little dry. No would take over my life like a sickness. If the fact that you become very peckish in your refractory, period. What two of those words mean peckish has all led to this. I think we have to letters Patrick here because Patrick's going to be playing, well, I guess you become Ted l Nancy right? When you get up there on stage and in read, the letters from the no I'll be I'll be reading them as Ted. Yes. Do we have new? We do we do. Now, these are different than we have the the play that we were here last time, which do with Beth Kennedy. We did at the Giffen playhouse Geffen theater, whatever you wanna call it. And that is airing now on Amazon, and I tunes it is wherever find comedy is sold. And that's a different show than what Patrick is doing what she's over at the improv. He's doing we got about ninety percent new stuff in here. Oh, so you see that show you won't be spoiled for this show. And I wanted to just bring that up. So do you wanna read which one you want to read? I you wanna read the cocoa. Okay. Okay. So here's a letter Tyco. Yeah. This is a letter that that Ted wrote to the Coca Cola company. Dear Coca Cola. "Cosby specials. Bill Cosby hisself? Yes. Exactly, not something, you know in light of recent controversies. It is weird that we live in that society where I'm not. I'm not going like, hey, I'm some watchdog glad group it's going to scrub through every no no, I just hit. Okay. Kevin Hart, just hit it. And that's the that's the thing. That's the entire trailer. There's nothing before it. There's nothing after it. There's just thirty seven seconds of hate hate it. My son was good and somebody cut that together. So many spent time on it to where they would remember that once these tweets reserves and the whole controversy happened. I don't know how that doesn't trigger any memories to go back and fix that. Well, now makes me wanna look, and then you want you went to YouTube, right? You went to the trailer that was on YouTube that just started with something about I mean, literally out of the box with I hope my sons not gay now the box one. See I worked finesse, which is already know myself. Yeah. That's right. The more cerebral angle. That's right. All right. Let's see you can see if you can find that one the one you pulled up for me. We'll just play that one which is kind of funny. You have to listen hard because it's right out of the gate. Every kid has a gate moment. You gotta stop it. Quitting. The thing that sells a funny is it's not really a joke unless being gays bad. Right. You know what? I mean. Every son has that you're saying it like every kid gets caught stealing. Hey stopping every kid gets caught cheating on. Hey, stop it. Hand in the cookie jar. Right. Get paid stopping you know, what I'm saying. Yeah. It's kind of a weird. That's the presuppose subtext. Yeah. This is bad and stop it. But I mean, remember this got or at least the way they edited it it got a huge laugh. So somebody's agreeing that'd be fair Jim gaffe and wrote most of that. Jop gaffe. Screwed up again. I'm just saying YouTube, and Netflix, and whatever if this guy if we're woke in two thousand nineteen and he survived the soon NAMI of anti gay with his kid, or whatever maybe not the tip of the spear for the comedy promo as I hate gave because my son. Bob, blah, blah, blah. Yeah. Revisit all right. Patrick war. Weird. Right. Just yes. Maybe that's why they weren't interested in not talk about material not. Bashing it falls under the heading for me. We talk about how insanely smart and dumb. We are simultaneously as a people as a creature because if you look at Netflix, here's the science behind net. Flicks is I pick up. My universal remote sitting on my sofa unlock and yon. And I pointed at the box that strapped to the wall, and I hit a button, and it goes up to a satellite million miles. That's going seventeen thousand miles orbiting the earth. And then that fires back, and then I see a picture of Kevin Hart and pointed at it. I still point when I stab at it. And I hit select and then that thing lights up, and then I get to choose between trailer and fall and winter. That's a lot of technology. Yeah. So. One part of us is smart. But then the thirty seven seconds of Kevin Hart talking about bashing his gay son, and you go not now now, not so smart still exist. Weird right. Yes. Think either were good at making decisions or smart or bride or were awake or whatever. And again, this one isn't on Kevin Hart. It's why they chose that one. And then why they strive after all of this like it's not like. His trailer. He has five specials on Netflix. You could watch the trailer for all five of them in under three minutes. Be pretty easy pretty lunchtime challenge. All right. I got I got a great magnet story here. But I feel like Patrick and barrier out there. Maybe I think about them. Let me just hit Castrol edge real quick now. Good said, okay. I okay with this. Let me hit. Then don't shake your head Castrol edge stronger. Under pressure engines can lose up to ten percent of performance due to friction Castrol edge with fluid titanium transforms under pressure. Keep those metal parts from rubbing three times three times stronger than leading full synthetic against viscosity breakdown..

"All right. So the run time ex patent for the thing is the trailer is thirty seven seconds. So thirty seven seconds out of one. Oh, seven and I'm like, all right. Well, let's see what the best of the one seven is. And here's what I stumbled across many many months after the controversy and the tweets a game moment. Okay. Every when happens, you gotta nip it in the bud. You gotta stop it. Right. Quick. I don't know. I don't know about Hannibal son's situation. Right. Okay. That birthday party right birthday party? He's playing, you know, kids play they just play. You don't know what they're doing? But they haven't get town. This is doing a bunch of stuff moving around. I said, okay. He's good finish talking. I turn back around checking my son, again, a little boy was grinding on my son. I didn't know what to do panic. I'm not the both. Through the Mike this slam the Mike stand down to the ground left arm. He was like in the light of the recent controversy, and it was very notable you'd want to have any clip. Well, considering there's a whole. Our six minutes and twenty three seconds that they pick over presumably sixty other jokes, unless this was the least offensive the joke is my son was acting gay. So I tried to stomach it. But at a certain point when another kid started acting next I just panicked struck both of that had to assault them. First off. It's kind of I don't know. It's not the highbrow wishing your son with the top You know that that. that shit right there. That's super high end comedy there. But also cerebral humor. The joke is point why not want my son to gay and the other kids him. Now. This is an on Kevin Hart. This is on Netflix. Which is why are you pulling this clip or let you say you did it pre all that? I am being fiscal. If you read the tweet max, Pat, which you can find at some point he was saying something like if my son is gay and hit him in the head or something. You know, if my son comes home and tries to play with my daughter's Dollhouse, I'm going to break it over his head and say in my voice, stop that's gay. Okay. What was different about that tweet in that joke? Nothing came from the same place, the same Genesis. Yes. It was my son was gay. I didn't like it. Put my hand. I did something action. Right. Okay. Now, look Kev. Kevin Hart can joke. All he wants about anything. He wants that's fine person in charge of Poland clips that flex. Maybe not this clip. Do you think it was a little bit of a sabotage? Now. I always wished that. I like my guys at the other shop or these guys I pray. They just have a personal vendetta turns out every just a colossal fuck out like that. I I wish it was sabotage. I thought was the other direction, which is I don't know if it's better or worse, someone Netflix like, oh, this is what Kevin Hart's known for in the last six months. Oh, well, associate this zoom that this existed. Controversy this existed before the conference because this this is from two thousand and ten this was up and running this is up and running. But nobody thought to kind of go. What do we have? We have five Kevin Hart specials. I don't wanna scrub through every hour. I'm just saying what did we put up as a representation of that? And as one knocking the stranger over and his son because they may be gay. Replace that with women be shopping, for example. For example. The only thing somebody said, hey, find the biggest laugh, I don't care what it is whatever the biggest laugh is and put that that's the highlight. And fine that was in two thousand and ten now in the light of there's nothing controversy about Kevin Hart in his son, especially in his son being gay Netflix. There probably have more than ten employees have one assigned. Oh, go back to the Bill..

"And I came across. I was looking oh Kevin Hart special. So I was like, okay. Just you click on them. And they do I don't know. How long has the taser a thirty second teaser. You know, even we just highlight them hover over a little trailer on you. Yeah. How long is it? Thirty second like their second. All right. Give you the the run time next. We will we initially. So I should give her the time. We're all guessing how long it was. Twenty five forty seconds. All right. Such the run time. Okay. Okay. We don't have to guess. That's all I'm saying. All right. I think it's a little longer. But anyway, he does a are. You can check it now. But he does is. So it's seriously not funny. And I was like all right. Well, let's. Let's check it out. Let's see. Oh, sorry. Seriously, funny. Seriously, funny, the Kevin Hart specials, so I was like, okay. How long has the special mex- patta? I'm going to buy some time there brother specials in our minute our seven, and we have you'll figure out the exact run time. I'll tell you guys about Tony John the reason I went the exact time because brought up three times. But I yeah. Make a face. We're all sitting there guessing how long it is. Right. How long does it? How long was it? But we don't know. But we know it's short. All right. But look the Runtime all right here Oh, going now. yes. Because I'm trying to make a point here. Which is they chose forty-one seconds of an hour and seven minutes, and they could have chose any forty one second to put up there. Now will will see. Yeah. All right. I'll tell you about Tommy John. And then we'll we'll make my point..

I look at guys like that. And I go I wish I had that kind of Dr. Yeah. Why don't you get some depends? Oh. Oh. Right funny letters for me to read. All right. So don't ask me to write my this guy. Well, there's been a lot of bad press for Uber lately between we talked about the girl who was killed who by the way was just an awarded a posthumous agree from our university. And then they're apparently LA is suing Uber. I just heard this on the way in for not telling certain parts of the city when there are more kinda like what Brian was saying more sort of fake Uber. Predators driving around. And now CNN reports that over can't really take this on. But it wasn't over driver. The police in San Mateo, California have arrested and over driver who they say took his writers to the airport and logically assume that they were going to be out for a while. And drove back your house to break Christie want show when we do my wife when we do Uber's to the airport. She doesn't like to meet the Uber in front of our house like even though the address, but. Exactly. So great for the guy lives across the street. Breaking. There with their special Sheild all the same. It's got a sprinkler keen. He's drunk waving it around he's shocked to because you're supposed to be out of town. All right. Well, the joke was a little on him kind of because this was actually an Airbnb they were staying at surveillance footage doorbell camera jokes showed a man approaching the front door on Thursday. And then walking away from the house police said the security alarm kind of chased him off, but he has grit. He said he wasn't done breaking into people's houses. So he found another house he ransacked it. He was there for like four hours. He toll all this stuff, including heirlooms that their grandmother had saved. During the holocaust the next day. People were able to use it information to arrest him thirty eight year old Jack Gordon Wilson at home near Sacramento. He was charged with first degree burglary attempted first degree burglary and resisting arrest home, which ransacking is the ransacking. Is that looking in a hurry. Yes..

"Discussed fasting and ice, baths and walks in. How all these things are the keys to his success. So when it comes to eating this one's a little intense. He only one meal a day during the week and he fast from Friday night to Sunday night. He says he started hallucinating the first few times, but then he sort of never been clearer. And when it comes to his wake up routine the social media mogul says it's all is bats for him. He says nothing has given me more mental confidence than being able to go straight from room temperature into the cold after that, he ditches the car. He walks about a quarter a mile and a quarter to work and just all of these things combine help him get a proper night's sleep at the end of these very long days that he's actually trying to make seem longer. So he sleeps. Better. And meanwhile to make things even tougher on his body. He says he has he spent the last three years alternating between ice cold, baths and two hundred twenty degrees on for fifteen minutes three times a day. So, but here's here's a question. Sort of what about getting the bagel? Yeah. Free pretty much fairly that. The question though, is sort of chicken or the egg. Like, he's going this sub freezing water. This is what makes me perform in the board room. And it's like, no, you're selling this to go into it as what makes you kind of person cold water's, just cold water, right? If my son was straight in other mover you drink the slushy. And it stuck at the bottom. And you tap it as bomb than the whole thing. Slides out on your face, like some sort of cherry cocky..

"He told reporters he wants to preserve his close relationship with genie bus and felt the best way to do that was to step down return to being the team's big brother and embassador he hinted at a few problems to he's an informal press conference that he wasn't happy when he had to make trades or stifle himself from tweeting. Congratulations or he might be accused of tampering and he said he didn't like the whispers and the backstabbing that go on behind the scenes, it's weird. How the NBA's turn telenovela in the last few years. Like there was there was the Lakers. Cool swaggie Pete or something. It was like she was young. She. On the other guy. The other guy was FaceTime or whatever. Like this turned into this weird sort of telenovela that didn't use to like athletes are sorta smoked in the locker room banged everybody sold used cars during the off season. That was just what did now everyone's rat and everyone taking the Twitter and everything that's why you think it's because of Twitter. Well, he said like I can't do this. And I won't do that. I just mean there's a lot of bitching going on at this level. Wrestling a little bit. Yeah. You play basketball. Patrick, right. Don't you know? Yeah. Great. But you did the college never played. But if you think about it all these guys are literally like a year or two out of high school. You know, so still. You were like where you're at nineteen and a half and someone says you have a hundred sixty one million dollar contract. Like, I'd be a mess. I'd be I'd be I'd be like new day and coup say. Say like like I'd be showing up at weddings going to have sex with your bride and they've got getting married. Well. All right. Let's take you don't have to leave the church. Just look the other way. She's really hot highschool and the age and the hundred sixty one million dollars all is. Has affect on people nineteen and a half as digging ditches. So I'm sorta humbled. You know, we're all kind of doing those jobs and living that life that didn't really give us a lot of personal momentum. But I'd say I'd be mass to. Yeah. What are we doing? Barry at nineteen and a half trying to lose forty pounds. My parents actually spent a million to try to get me into high school. A public school. Federal everybody's wrong here. Let's let's back off a little worse crew photo ever. If you're slopping outside of that boat and touching the water on right and left side yet that ain't a great along with the forty three. I road crew. And there is a girl they called her the wrecking crew targeted everybody in the first boat. Accrue group. The telescope countries. Let's see if we just check the boxes. All right. So you've chilly what about Chile? How high the the allegations are Spain who built the telescope? That's chilling better. Two of them from from there from Chile. Wow, that's out. So we're going like it's like they had the area on rocket program, and they're in French Guyana, and they're in French Guyana because it's like on the equator when they launch they can get that much more momentum. So maybe this is about locations. I know we don't have time, but I could call my son right now, who's interning for aerospace, really, really. Oh, really? American university. He will be president of the United States. Lofty, but he was a pilot. He was seventeen he was a number really gonna fly. Fly jets for the military. But then he did a semester at sea. Now, he's at American, and he's awesome. How old is he? Now. He's twenty. Wow. That is a resume. Resume for twenty. My son is called in sick to school in this plane, fortnight and heating the free. Right. Yeah. All right. So what are you? Chilly. There's one in Spain Hawaii. Yeah. But now I have to modify their belly getting certain Yahoo built them rather where we put them. But anyway, sorry. Then Arizona in Artika, Denmark, the French Alps and Mexico..

"It was really interesting guy any sort of. I said to him, you know, you live in this communist, which is I don't know. I'm not a I'm not a scholar but communism asserted turbo charged socialism. Let's say general thought, maybe a little, you know, a little more. An extra packet of cheesy flavoring in the Kraft macaroni cheese is kind of the same general notion, which is we take everything kind pull together. And then we spread it around. And everyone does the same thing. And you know, he was kind of saying that when the guy who worked at the quickie mart got paid the same amount is airplane pilots in dentists, it kind of you ended up skewed your world. And you're like, I'm thirteen. What do you wanna be like, I don't know dentist or work? The cashier at the quickie, mar like it doesn't matter like nothing mattered. There was everything just paid the same which you do that to a society, and everyone just go screw it. Give me vodka like, what's the least resist? Why should it be a dentist should go through all this to get that? So he said it kind of created that. And also kind of created this Malays of like everyone just sort of went did what they did. There was no I gotta go you think about this country and how. How much of it is? You know, what I wanna do? I want to get to look at that guy matching nothing of that in your landscape at all just just nothing. Everything's the same. There's no there's no there's no building over two stories like if you're an architect and everything was just single family, whatever you wouldn't look up at that big glass tower and go one day, you know, there's none of that. I have how this thought a lot about like doctors, and lawyers, and those people who are on the the top of the socio-economic chain, the people that I know it feels like they're more into achieving and excellence in terms of you're making a lot of money and things like that status, then they are into the law or medicine like Mark would make if for example bus driver name, a position was the top reverse cowgirl was top of the socio-economic food chain Marcus will be an excellent bus driver because he's a smart guy. He's in achievers, go get her notable ever. That thing is that is granted he has a family history of law. But you know, what I'm saying drew mystery of medicine, okay? Okay. He's if it was something else, he just passionate about that. And just a successful at that. Because he tax go-getters into that. Thank receivers into that upper stratosphere. And so you're living in a lamb that has none of that in it attract achievers, and he told this kind of interesting story about well. I'll NASA scientists whatever that thing is. Here's winner men that come on a thank them. And I wanna thank Tommy John dot com slash m Castrol edge as well. Attaining Trump for max men before it. So he said he had a revelation, which is he was actually working as a comedian on a cruise ship..

"Five dot com. It's his love of these really old houses older than the country. I like those those are the ones that pick up was this one. I don't have it open right now. Was this one seven fifty seventeen fifty eight. Yes. Yes. Seventeen fifty eight. Okay. Nothing to do with what you're writing about their. But check it out. But. You refuse to believe in any possibility of spirits. There's no ghosts. Because most people okay, that's an exaggeration. Many people. We'll see a house like that. And they'll think all that must be might be a really really cool house. But I bet it's haunted. Simply because it's that old people assume especially back in the day. It is true. Many many more people died at home and a lot of people who believe that phenomenon. They believe that older houses have spirits. I don't believe that. So I would buy that. If I had the money and see the thing is older houses also aren't stable so older houses are going to make noise right older houses are going to have little wind drafts older houses, we're going to have chili spots all of those things because they're older houses. Yeah. Yeah. It's a cool. How slow. If I said the name of the actor, many would know, but many would not Patrick Warburton. He's Joe on family guy. Well, he was also puddy on Seinfeld. And now he does one of those rental car commercials. All the time. He does that too. Is it Alamos at our enterprise was the tech wasn't he? Yes. He was that as well. Yeah. Oh, yeah. He's been around. He's he's done well for himself. So anyway, this is kind of a cool story. What's that have to do with New Jersey? Well, turns out everything because there's a story how. Erin Vogt has the story. New jersey. Devils fans are gonna be lining up to scoop up this. It's a Seinfeld inspired bobblehead. And it's the first nine thousand fans in attendance for the February nineteenth game Tuesday against the penguins are going to receive a special putty bobblehead. It's from the superfan episode himself, right? And there's a famous scene where he's banging his fist because he's all like face painted. And I think it's after the game or before obviously one of the other and he's banging his fist on a car window. And inside the car is a priest. And he and he has himself made up to really look scary devil screaming this devils through the whole episode screaming devils, they're actually making a bobblehead to look just like that. Nice. How neat is that? And this I did not realize, but they play clips of that episode at all the home games to this day. They've been doing that for the longest time. In fact, she writes in the more than two decades since it first aired on TV the team still shows the clip during home games of the putty character Devo, which is very very very cool. So yeah, you're finally going to get your bobblehead. I nine thousand fans on February nineteenth at prudential center. Now that got me thinking though. A lot of people loved putty on that show. But was there anybody funnier and Seinfeld than Kramer? Now, jerry. Jerry was almost the straight man on that show. But he always had the good lines. He didn't have the best lines though. The best lines was everybody else. He had joke lines. But everybody else had funnier scenes. Well, Kramer was the physical comedy. He was. Yes, he was more physical right somebody, and I cannot remember who I was having this conversation with. You know, it may have been. Been a sitter for my kid. I'm not sure who it was. But somebody thought George Costanza was the funnier character. He was funny. But I don't think anybody was as funny as Kramer on Seinfeld. Sorry. But anyway, I would love to know what what people think it was the funniest TV character of all time any era any TV show ever. What was that one eight hundred two eight three one zero one point five I would have to go. Now. I know what you're gonna say, what am I gonna say? What am I going to say that smart guy from Barney Miller, I had he was one of them. Oh, he's not the number one. He would be. Top three. Okay. Now, it was played by Steve Landers Berg. But I'm sure I remember with the name Kramer. Dietrich dietrich. That's who it was Dietrich on Barney Miller, I loved him. I love Frazier. When he was on. Cheers. I didn't think he was as funny on his own show. Although he was funny. But when he was with all the screw ups around. Cheers. I thought he was much funnier. And then the final one would be Stuey. I love story, especially in the first few seasons of family guy when he was always trying to kill Lois. That's awesome. Yes. Still felt that strongly voiced doing really well. Wow. So you can't really put any one of those in the first place. But you know, I want some of the older. Barney Miller is funny. They seem to like not age as well. They didn't really. Yeah. Oh, I watch all cheers. And those hold up extremely well. See I think he was the funniest guy on cheers, though. Who was I? I don't know of any one. Character was actually funnier than another character. Which is that that sounds like a cop out I realized but everybody has their own niche. Norm was funny in his right? Yeah. Yeah. You know, what it was? I think I had a hard time liking the Frazier character on cheers, just because he was such an elitist. He was the fish out of water in the blue collar bar. I know, but he never felt like it. You know? He still felt superior even though nobody around him was like him. And yet he was still sitting there feeling superior in. It's like, screw you. He wants tonight punting with them. I remember that they trick them like that. They did. I believe I believe it turned out. He knew the whole time. But you just want to be one of the guys. Yeah. Okay. Now that said see now, I'm feeling bad. He just wanted to be alone lonely. No Lilith was hilarious to Lilith holds up. Extremely well. Lola's deadpan. Oh, wait, we. That's right. Yeah. At first I was going to say wait will was the wife that you never saw. But no will was the one. You always saw the wife. You never saw was of of norm. Remember that they almost coming down the stairs. I can't wait normal. No, no, no. It wouldn't be normal the norm. Whatever. A little Google search. All right. What do you think was the funniest TV character of all time our television, IRA telephone number is one eight hundred two eight three one zero one point five Mike and Manila in your New Jersey, one on one point five you doing guys you guys are great. Thanks. Thank you. I think it has to be at Norton. You're not gonna think I'm great anymore because I hate that. All the honeymooners was classic man. I'll come right up there with. With lucy. Holiest thing ever when they were doing the call. Hello. Hey, you well, you have to address the ball. Absolutely. Mike. Get mad. Bit miffed, somebody likes the awful. Awful. That show was not the funniest show in the world. But it was a great show because. There's there's something so human about wanting to punch your wife in a fado. No. But he never. Alice. Never did it domestic violence is comedy. But Ralph was so. This sounds like a really stupid word sounds so corny to say, but Ralph was so vulnerable. Ralph was like every other guy out there. Ralph had these big dreams. He was always one in the head things often fell apart for him actually, always fell apart for him. Always kept trying. He was very relatable. I think he was timeless. He wasn't as vulnerable as Alice man, choosing to get punched in the face vulnerable. She was she ruled that Roussel you kidding. He's threatened to beat her. Oh, and she didn't care at all. She knew it was all talk one. Oh, please. Tell Powell right in the kissing no way. All right. The the devils are doing this special bobblehead, and they're making it look just like putty when he did the face paint episode from Seinfeld all those years ago and was going to be thinking about TV characters. What do you think is the funniest TV character ever one eight hundred two eight three one zero one point five.
