"To push back a little bit, because when it comes, I'll give you example of the Cubs say. For instance, they do trade Kris Bryant Saturday and he goes to the Mets and Rizzo goes the Brewers or whatever happens, right? Still now you got Hayward and you got Contreras? How many else left in the 16 Championship team? Not a lot. Just those two, right, Hendricks. How do you know? Like when the cubs when that whole run is over? Does that mean that Bryant has to be traded? Or is it because to me when you still have the building blocks of tapes and Kane? The championship years are over. But those building blocks are still there. Keep is gone, but tapes and can are still there. So what do you think? Like? How do you know when it's done? If Brian's traded that that's the end right or or result, it's already done. But you understand the point. I know what you mean. What don't you get what you get to go on, Danny? I was just saying, like I agree with Honey, like those championship Bulls teams, all you needed was Jordan and Pippen and obviously Phil, But, like the rest of the pieces were interchangeable, and it was still the chance. So as long as you have tapes and Kane Don't think you can say it's officially the end of that era. With whom I would see. I'll say this when I when I said that, though I feel like because it wasn't just Cain and tapes. You had Hossa. You had Duncan Keith. You had guys like Patrick Sharp. You know, for the two of them, Corey Crawford. They were instrumental in winning those cups. And if Kane and Taves go on and deliver another cup run, even it will be a different team because they will be the only two. He can bags from those championship. Like like that. Three years, those three cups you had, like 678 court by Seabrook. I didn't even mention sharp. Yes, Like all those guys were critical to the success. It wasn't just Canaan tapes but now going forward. If the Hawks do change this around and have a cup running them, there will be different players who are critical to the brink. It'll be new faces and new names. But those two building blocks still matter. They said. They are the daily double tapes and Kane, right. And those are two guys who don't want to leave Chicago either. So we've come to find out they do not shot or no shot. His next This.

"Know, I once knew an ostrich that would take cats. Was it Shia LaBeouf dressed as an ostrich? No, but it was one item, not so true story but kind of hat was it. What's that Laura McKenzie? That wasn't what the article doesn't say. What kind of happened it was. It was a bowler hat valid question or fedora? So he recently sold one either Irma sounds like a bad point. Oh, yeah, they did some sort of Charity where they got a bunch of factors together to read Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Oh, I saw that. Yeah on a zoom call and had like Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf play Jeff Spicoli, and they had who played Jeff Spicoli in real life Sean Patrick Sharp an awful pain there and he wasn't playing he wasn't playing anybody but he was just there for the charity part and he was just he just laughed every time that Shia LaBeouf did his Jeff Spicoli and he actually he's really good job with Jeff Spicoli dealer actress. Just kind of read their lines. I did they a good job too. But it just kind of read their lines where Shia LaBeouf really got into the character. Oh, he's a method actor name. As I say, he's Marlon Brando and I mean there are a lot of us that are method actors on this show. Laura is one. Yes. She does anger really? Well. I have never seen somebody play a walk in and just really angry with us the way she does without trying. I tried really hard. Okay, you know she's given us a look through Skype right now, right like nobody can see it but she's given us that Laura glare with the eyes were burning a little I'm not giving you any book. I don't have a look. We're all laughing cuz that's a lot. I pictured those not a liar said on Sabrina. She said she's not wired now. They're practicing looking like Laura. Yeah, but we're not as judgy. No, I can't I can't do it. I can't do it by Lany. Maybe if I looked at Chris more I'd be like Well, I'm not saying anything cuz I have to live with the woman not right now. It's an Augustine. So she'll forget by the time she gets here. Nope. It's recorded but she doesn't watch or listen. Listen. We're safe. She's in a Land of trump. So are you both counties? No different true story. That is true. Very true. I went to the bank today. And on the I-4 Bridge there is Trump people waving flags. Yeah. I'm like one that's a really dangerous spot to stand. Nobody ever goes over it so long. Oh, yeah. It's not the I-4 Bridge. It's like a bridge that goes from the mall to another nobody ever thought. How do you even use that bridge you have to get stuck over on the other side? And then you just magically end up across and then you're like but I didn't mean to get here but I can't go back. The only people I've ever seen up on that bridge or Trump supporters know the cops with them. They're just sending people off to pull over whoever what's a really weird weird placement for a bridge cuz if you go into the Posner Park Mall area, and I know it's a small area off earlier. You.

"Night sports tonight, which I love. One of our teams is playing late night. Awesome. We got 9 30 puck Drop Black hawks and the really good Vegas Golden Knights, but think back to like 2016 The Hawks came in is the number one seed? In the West barely scored goals and got swept by the eight seed Nashville. Corey Crawford can play really good hockey like he did in the Win over Edmonton. Even one game that he was shaking the other three. He was excellent. He can play really well with the firepower they have. Jonathan looks like he's 25 again. Could be some stunning outcome. 3123323776 Patrick Sharp, He's by far the best looking man on television, and he was a hell of a hockey player for the Blackhawks for a very long time, and he's my friend. He's my colleague as well. The NBC Sports Chicago Sharpie. Good morning. How are you? Hey, cap. Thank you for that introduction, buddy. You're still on TV Two are just so you've got to be one of the best looking dudes out there. Well, right? Yeah, The ball thing is nothing like what Patrick Sharp brings to the airwaves every day. Anybody before we get started. I just want to say I'm sad to see the the end of Chicago Sports. Scott live but more Then being sad. I want to say congratulations for having a great show on the air for all those years. I know that was tough for you to close the show. I thought a clip on the Internet was able to watch it live on the East Coast. But, man, that was tough to watch. Congratulations on a great run there, But I appreciate you. You're a good man. Thank you for saying that. So I'm excited to be on my couch tonight. And watch the Blackhawks take on a really talented Vegas team, Jonathan Marshes show and all these guys that they bring to the table. They got firepower. What is the biggest key in this Siri's for the Black ox to advance? Got to be managing the speed of this Vegas Golden Nice team. There are clearly a relatively new team. They've only played against the hot nine times in the history of the franchise. Hasn't gone very good from the Blackhawks perspective. I was in some of those games and Vegas much like they did to the entire league. They burst onto the scene. They were fast team didn't know if it was the first line of the fourth line on the ice. It would just attacking all three guys supporting the park being aware defensively, and it was just speed speed speed everywhere. Things have changed a little bit over the years in Vegas, they got away from that seed game trying to play. More of a heavy puck possession game and Since the coaching change mid season of the regular season. I guess we just had there in 2020 The added Peter Board is their head coach who's got a lot of playoff success taking teams the Stanley Cup final. They've really added that element of speed back to their game. And as you kicked around many times, it's not always like fast skaters. It's knowing where that box is going to go having all the five guys on the ice on the same page when you get to those areas quicker. That's the hardest thing for the Hawk is going to be able to manage that speed, but they just played the fastest behind the world economy. David always scored a lot of points, but the Hawks were able to win that serious. So let's hope that the Hawks fans, they can do it again. As you look at their goaltending situation. Marc Andre Fleury is a veteran guy. He's 35. We thought the Hawks were spending a lot of money when they had Robin letter here. They're paying Fleury 8.5 and they're paying big money as well to Robin Lennar, who's a really good hockey player. Who do you think is the better goaltender of those two guys? Well, you know my answer. Well, I thought you're gonna throw Crawford in there as well. I was going to say Crowe is better in all three of them, but that's my bias shining through, right. If I was going to start somebody for the Vegas cold nights, I'd probably go with Robin letter. Just based on what I watched this season in Chicago to me, Cory and Robin had great season for the Hawks. They split their time. Leonard showed at times that he's probably deserving of more start. Then all the sudden crow would go on a run, and then they trade off sharing the net. I thought it was a great partnership. I was sad to see it come to an end. The letter would be my guy, but I'm not in Vegas, and I'm not coaching the team and not in that locker room, and you got a guy like Marc Andre Fleury. That's kind of been there done that was drafted in the expansion draft. The night number one pick, He's the face of the franchise. Sometimes those decisions can be real difficulty on who to leave on the bench. So if they start Florian game on, I would not be surprised. It wouldn't be a letdown it all, Vega says Two strong goaltenders and As we've seen in some of the qualifying rounds early on the Rangers used to Goldie's Carolina Hurricanes used two different goaltenders at different times in the series. We're going to see it more and more because this isn't your traditional playoff A lot of hockey crammed in a short period of time, and everybody's trying to get up to speed. So you have two starting goaltender is like the Vegas nights do that. That's an advantage for them. But we've got our guy crew on the net on the other side, too. We're talking with Patrick Sharp to watch Jonathan tapes in the last Siri's. He looked like he had gone to the Fountain of youth. He was quicker. He just looked really strong with the puck on a stick, able to take a hit and still make a play. He scored effectively..

"All right back here all Blackhawks postgame live that is Mason Silverman the son of mark still remain from waddle and Silvy fame on ESPN one thousand and shop he's watching our post game show and he's fast asleep I guess we're not doing a good job entertaining Ammar it's a nice problem for the my team's APP so to be able to watch the black ops on the go but I can't help but take a look personally so we can we not get a sharp Jersey in the house to put out what's we we decided for Mason talks may not for this picture that's a good point he watches more games than mark Silverman a topwater combined were putting in the sleeping a lot of good a lot of gaps in there a lot of good jabs from Pat Boyle and Patrick sharp and NBC sports Chicago my sin was upset with a power play he again the production but he wanted to watch it I was watching the game in another room and I said mace you want to watch the game here and he was on his not his I. pad but there's like an older phone that we use is like a second iPad he says I want to watch it he was in this room with all the toys and he's like I watch it in here and he was laying down watching the game and sure enough in the room to ask him about something and he was completely asleep with the postgame show on the the phone was he asleep before the post game show started or was his sleep pattern directly tied to the post game I'm not tying it to the post game show I am putting that on the Blackhawks that's why I'm putting yeah I wouldn't blame boiling sharpie for that I would blame the hawks for once again not being able to deliver and I put that on the Instagram on my Instagram page of marquee Silverman waddle is that that Tommy boy eighty seven of course follow the shell account ESPN underscore Chicago a lot of great things going on that ESPN Chicago account I watch the very beginning of the game on Friday night and then left and had dinner with my lovely wife and found out afterwards that they had won the game sat down on the couch on Sunday and ninety percent of the game it is you it's they are always in ten in games that I have watched the last two years ninety five percent of the games right when I was a kid it to watching the game I have I've thrown a shutout they they have only won two out of their last ten games and those are the two games that you did not what I didn't see a single minute because I was in Houston and the other one was Friday night sorry hawks I decided to spend time with my wife and not the Blackhawks televise games so many was Carl's birthday yesterday that is correct yes she has a good birthday she did yeah she did in in back to the hawks really quick mark Lazarus and the athletic wrote in his column about the letter trade that a source close to lander said the Blackhawks then he told the Blackhawks that he would have taken a three year contract extension because he loved it in Chicago but he never got that offer the source said letter wanted to take last because he quote love the guys the young guys in the old and wanted to do everything to make it work but he's also got bit on record recently as saying he did not want to give the hawks on down discount right so yet listen they could always negotiate the offseason so I think I saw sharpie I was not asleep for the postgame show yesterday I was watching with Pat and and and sharply and I think he was talking about the possibility of maybe signing Crawford to a you know a short shorter reasonable contract extension at the end of this year Dave's incredible Hey Dave you're on ESPN one thousand yeah I just turned into that you got to talk about builds up that you told your body that you wanted to do right well I'm I'm V. sixty three years old this year and I am a straight on field goal kicker from the seventies no I just modify and I just modified my kicking shield well I removed the stuff that I'm gonna put cleats Saddam so I can go check on astro surfer terrible whatever you call it nowadays and my goal is to try out for a team in the fall or next spring in the in the indoor football season at age sixty three you're in a league in there right away because the arena league be perfectly because there's no there's no pressure on the character you kick off the tee right and I kicked out straight on and I would bail it every time in the end zone between the upright what was your highest level Dave miles Lovell was what's the vision three NC double a I played a small school calling at St college I kicked a forty five yarder gave got hot I was cut from the university of Iowa because a guy name Reggie Roby I want to look pretty good yeah I got I got my senior year coverage eurobeat it was down fifty seven yards at Waterloo East High School Dave Dave did he wear a watch back in college to when he was punting yes he did that said you would check the settings on every second it was unbelievable he said I saw his playing time I'm sorry six second one at forty nine yards Dave good luck to you yes good job good job the report to fall yeah nice mikes in Lombard Hey Mikey I don't want a kind of a off the beaten path a little bit but right McEvoy and David Sims from ten top professional caddie if he goes down and that you can get I'm pretty sure you can pretty much make anybody from the crowd to carry your bag yes it is lately the more more thing and you know we we decided to do this we did that so it's more of a team game with another don't want guys swinging the club hasn't didn't that happened a few years ago where a player got no argument with his caddy and kicked him off his bag and somebody from the from the crowd came in it and what's his looper so you have been involved in the presidents Cup I'm pretty sure that your greed Kattegat bounce in a header you can call somebody that was and it seems that it's interesting now I heard Carmen I think somebody else was talking about this earlier like in at the masters or there is a a marker that goes out like if you're a single that goes out on the final day at the masters because of the way that it's set up if you play with a member of the of the the member of the course will actually play with you on the final round of the masters you don't get play you don't get paid you don't get you know it's but B. to keep up the pace way that they put you with somebody that's kind of weird yeah so you're not playing by yourself it's not the pace because you're in front nobody else is plain but I think they do it just to kind of symmetry yeah so like there've been a couple of cases where either you had a withdrawal at the end or there was an uneven number of golfers anyone off on your own and you have a member of the course actually play as well all right all right tomorrow Ryan pace and Matt Nagy will speak at the combine it's the first time Nagy speaking publicly since all these coaching changes so what's he going to say and will Ryan pace double down on his thoughts and Mitch Trubisky will discuss in two minutes.

"So chance for some guys to rest up. Up some of the injured players to possibly he'll, and we'll keep an eye on. What happens with Barbara Shelvin whether he actually gets to spend it for the game. Six coming up on Sunday. Let's hear from you at down the Greco hashtag game is conduct. Let's start with Troy. He says was last night's victory more of a result of Bennington playing great or the Bruins just falling short of a top effort while they had thirty nine shots on goal. I can't say that their effort was poor by any stretch of the imagination. Again, the out hit the Bruins. The Bruins out hit the blues, too. So I really think that Bennington stood on his head. It was maybe one of his best games in the postseason forever. Ta ta seems like the sympathy for Boston isn't there after that on-call last night. But are we really happy that a finals game is being talked about by officiating missed a crucial call no matter the team sad to see that be the case. Well, unfortunately, what's happening forever t h is this is becoming more and more prevalent. Right. It's happening in all sports, because we break it down, so fine. That there's gonna be some non call that's going to be talked about now. This one was agree. Just because it was in the middle of third period of a one nothing game. The resulted in a goal. The made it to nothing and the final score was was two to one. So that's a big deal. But really, I think you can look at every game there was a missed too many men on the ice penalty. I thought Patrick sharp mentioned it on the on the desk after the game that if there was no goal of Rask as to say, we're not even talking about this, so that it was just a unfortunate, a perfect storm of events that went to the blues favor and against the Boston Bruins. But hey, I think it's happening in all sports. I watch I cover football I do post game shows for sixteen years with the jets and more times than not after the game, especially a close game..

"New York City is the country's oldest museum dedicated to Latin art and it celebrating its fiftieth anniversary what originally started a series of storefronts and Brownstone now find it home at Fifth Avenue, and I one hundred four street, it's come a long way, thanks to the dedication of many people and tonight de Badio celebrating fifty years of work at a gala at the plaza honoring the great artists and philanthropist that supported its efforts joins now is Patrick sharp now and executive director, welcome, Patrick, congratulations. By the way, is really exciting to be celebrating fifty years of activities and to be representing community that is more than sixty million in the US. Let's go all the way back. It was established in nineteen sixty nine. Initially, what were activists and neighbors and parents wanting when this museum I started as an idea the use of the civil rights and the poetry can community in the Latino community was on the re-presented. So it was an opportunity to build one of the best platform that visibility and voice to Puerto Ricans and Latinos in New York, and as we said it started it traveled around for quite a bit. How did it start? How to start what he went to the west side? The side started we list mall. He was founded by sorties, which is great great artists from Puerto Rican origin and also educator, and it moved in seven directors in the early years, any became not only the all the largest platform to give to show and to exhibit and into activties around. Latinos into US on the website on the museum's website listed under its purpose. One of the lines reads to enhance the sense of identity, self esteem and self knowledge of the Caribbean and Latin American peoples by educating them in their artistic heritage and bring art and artists into their communities. Why is that so important, and we'll if if anything kind of community museum where public programs location as important as exhibitions? So establishing a link we the community in repeat scenting. A group that has very low representation in big international museums with one of the purpose by founded, and and I think. We not only organized Bishop. We'd also keep a lifetime of the oldest traditions of Latinos in New York. So if not mentioning museum museum that he's being in experimenting with a new model of cultural institution museum had a lot of programs and a lot of as you said community outreach. Can you give us a couple of examples, for example? We organize. A very big with house of people taking spirit, which is. Latino in America tradition, and we every once on we're gonna what we call super titles. In Spanish, and you have those weepy not only activities for children. We present performance we present music event. And we have a wonderful founded in nineteen fifty two. So we have the capacity not only as I was mentioning into organize exhibitions, but to be connecting organizing kind of activity worships for people from the community. My guest is Patrick shop. And now he's executive director of L museum Badio which is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary this year you having the big celebrations night. We'll talk about that in a minute. All institutions they face challenges over the course of their existence. What have been some of the challenges for almost about one of them is the that we've been a study on stable financial units table. So we have to be a stronger platform to get very strong. That's the both. Activities in the programming on sale, and we have also to make the to get more support from the city of New York, more governments more support from the foundations. So he noted to get there. We have to become a very exciting institution. We have to become a different museum in the offer and New York, cultural institutions, museums, and we'll tell you has to be something different. And something that they've called specific. And we away really excited to be the all and and the biggest letting make museum in New York. So the gala is this evening, correct. On a rough Elmont Ortiz. He started the museum tell him about his contribution. And what his vision has been in the past fifty years was also very important activist in the late sixties. He went them. What's the most ratio side MoMA because there was not enough representation of that in in in museums like MoMA, we'd knee and many others. And and he's being very important located. But also, very radical. Who have experiment in in in video any performance? So he began destroying the, you know in in the late sixties, but was an act of creation. An knocked off of. An activist on way to show that through these structures. You could change the shape of things, and and ten political message about agility and exclusion that let you were facing in the us as the museum grows and becomes more popular and you have to go forward. Some local community activists are worried about the museum losing its community routes. They're concerned about that as director, what are you going to do to address those concerns while defer thing we have to leave? If one of the main concerns? To be a community museum. So they connection with. Pottery community nation, we nica and all the Latino community. As crucial for sale. And so our purpose is to try to build the institution that represents besides they concerned. So these people of the community. Now, somebody's been listening to this and thinking, I might wanna go up to the out what are some upcoming exhibits? Well, we open if you weeks ago Gaudreau for the people and exhibition that is made exclusively with works of the side about collection. The. We have eight thousand works. And. They collection. Election by thanking curator of about in order to to talk about the he's tweet about the roots and talk about identity of of of Elmo sale. My guess has been Patrick sharp Anneli is the executive director of El museo de Barrio, Patrick, thanks for coming in especially on gala day. We appreciate it. Thank you. Coming up next, novelist. Who has done that though gone downtown and think that you're gonna find a spot that'd be like. Oh, that's right. It's downtown Chicago. Yeah. When you don't want to pull the trigger for like going and actual parking. He's pretty funny. You know, he does broadcasts with my husband, Pat. And there's Patrick sharp draws a lot of fans. Absolutely. The other guys are great but Patrick sharp for star. And so but Patrick will tell my husband. They're here for you pet. They're not motivating. All these fans are here. Fear when you said the other guys are greater you including your husband. But sharpy he's he's New Year's Eve we were with Annenberg and his graphing somebody else, and we were out and somebody came up to Adam and said, hey, you're Patrick sharp. Right. And he's like, no. And that was it. He didn't say I'm at embarrassed. No, they they like sheepishly locked away at a certain point. You just say, yes, right? That's how I would have said. Yes. He he did not like that. "Going up the the loonies or whatever they are. So it's actually all the Canadians fault that the camps not going up and it's putting put STAN Bowman in a really bad spot. So I actually before we get into how they're probably going to finish last place in the central. Again, I thought I thought when we first met that you actually kind of a big hockey fan and now thinking back the hawks are just in the Stanley Cup final, what felt like every year. So have you always just been fringe like, are you bandwagon? Are you willing to playoffs? No, I with an I love going like hawk going to hockey games. The best sporting event by on the problem is the problem is with our job is that we have to cover everything and it's like nonstop. So it definitely like conflicts happens even complicit with football and football. I, I won't live. We'll take priority. And then usually what happens for me is I watch out, I'll watch. I mean, I get the package and everything. So I'll watch probably about forty fifty games a year, but I. Won't get really into it until about January because it's just too much going on in the first few months of the season to be fully locked in. But then once January hits, I'm watching, you know, the bulls and the Blackhawks every night. So it's definitely and my buddies from friends that have season tickets so they are. There's diehard diehard get. So you know, the group tech pops off with anger all the time, especially last year. So other than the fact we've learned nothing about the Scarborough Blackhawks. Is there anything you can tell about the team? Yeah. I mean, Patrick sharp retired. He's a good friend of mine. I don't know if you remember him, but he has three Stanley Cup rings. I went to his house so I got rocket. I went to, I went to his house, beautiful house. Got the party with the team as you got the party with the team twice. That's two more times than both of you guys who actually played in a league up to party at the Stanley Cup. So yeah, that's about it. The big cats. Why don't you go? Fuck yourself, buddy. Okay. No, let's talk for real though. Yeah, the Blackhawks are kinda fucked if we're being totally honest. Right? Like they, they, they got they're stuck in that situation where they had to pay their two stars, which I don't think anyone can say, hey, don't pay the the thing with the Blackhawks like it's not the Canaan taste contracts. It's that when you get when you pay you guys like that, you can't miss on all the fringe contracts, right? But you can't mess up any of the third line fourth line guys because those that margin for error is so razor thin now with the cap not going up. So I mean, cheap is chief is written a really great odds about it, but it seems like the the consensus now within Bowman is like just kind of punt for the next couple of years and hope you can kind of rekindle the magic towards the end of their contract, but it's not looking good at at present day, right? Not right now. No, Alison, that was no good fucking analysis. It's looking. Podcast, right. Concerned about the ice girls? Are they? Are they still kicking around? I don't. I it. There's been a lot of backlash. I mean, there used to be the first came for the shoot. The puck used to be the third. There actually was the second. It used to be trying to try out a little kid. Then they'd tried out a very attractive young lady, and then they would try out a celebrity and that slowly kind of went away. I think they still do it, but it's not as what it used to be. And I think ice girls, yeah, are gone as well. So it's a different type. Two thousand eighteen different year I they came for the kiss Camden, but I was never on the kiss Cam, so I didn't speak up. So, yeah. Yeah. But will you guys give me your now says, tell me I, I'm an expert. I wanna know if you guys know everything. I know. Well, I was gonna make the comparison. I said it about the kings the other night, and I'll say about the Blackhawks. They don't skin teams. They don't scare me as a fan like they did four years ago..

"When they are playing without corey crawford they just got an ecmm off back they have incorporated some young kids i think that they're right now in a state of transition you know the black hawks have been interesting anxious that what they've lost because of the salary cap think of all the great players the andrew lads the dust them bob flynn's the patrick sharp's that they had to get rid of and then reacquire number all those years they they they pulled that old gag and the marion host so who they laws let's not forget about the significance of that loss so you know you're just going through a transition where it is it is a sport of the were you need great players but the players around mccain and the taves of they matured into what you're hoping for so my team i am i going to jim i going to fire the coach him i got a fire the general manager a wholesale changes air in that read not not rebuilding but they're in that transitional period where you know you're trying to incorporate some young players you know you punch up their roster and you look at some of the younger players that they're trying to incorporate into you know um to bracket who got off to a hot star but he's kind of slowed down um um the acquisition of sod has been a good one he still a good young player at things got room in this league they're bringing in a young player like like hartmann a hand estrada is a good young player that they kind of believe him but you know anthony declare they made the deal for him so you got a lotta younger players in a kind of going through that transition where caves in cain is just not enough in what is a very very competitive central division you know back in the.
