Should I Take the Safe Job or Do What I Love?
"So now I'm part time due to the economy however I think this is the greatest gift of a my background is in video production and development. Here is a situation my best friend adviser setting me up with the job that I don't really want. It's focused on graphic design number crunching and sitting behind minded desk for around thirty five thousand year awesome for just being out of college and Patrick Rights however my passion is in the entertainment industry. I really WANNA find work in Hollywood alleyways or even here at home in Chicago working behind the scenes with media and video. Do I take the job that will provide comfort and pay the bills or should I pursue my odd dream job. Even though I'll start at the bottom I'll be able to use my entrepreneurial skills to work my way up little sidebar. My friend is saying that I will be throwing away a big relationship opportunity with him and this company by turning down the job because it will greatly expand my capabilities tendencies however are to actually work in something really. WanNa do you do I pursue my dreams and sacrifice and hospital relationships or the close front Patrick Awesome Freakin question and I have a very very strong opinion. You're Patrick what I say. Now run to your freaking dream job. Now go for it. Yes yes yes yes. Yes and I think your friend is. Maybe talk your friend but we'll talk about him. In a minute here is the deal Patrick's. Now is your time now. Of course I think you should pursue your passion at any age but the truth is the a younger you start the easier. It can be so you say just add college which means you're likely in your early twenties. This is the thing this probably only time in your life brother that you're not. GonNa have big financial obligations like mortgage or a family to take care of so you need to run. Do Not Walk to your dream job do it now. I also want to mention three things in your question that caught my attention that rhymed. I you say ore. Should I pursue my dream job. Where even though all start at the bottom demanding I'll be able to use my entrepreneurial skills to work my way up the salary they are offering. You is thirty five thousand a year. I got news for you man that he started out the bottom line is is that it really is an entry level salary salaries you might as well start at the bottom and feel that you really want to work in rather than push papers and number crunching just because you're a friend. Slash advisor wants you to do it when you're young long. Hungary and willing to produce results consistently. That's a key word. You're really gonNA work your way up to big opportunities fast. Here's the problem I run into with a lot of people. That are your age. They're inconsistent. They may be super talented than great at what they do and driven but they're not producing results consistently there either to focused don partying or they have personal drama and it really gets in the way of their professionalism and of moving up in their field don't do that once you get your foot in the door a star from the GECKO and here's what that means show up on time be proactive be professional. You want to treat the person's business whoever you're working for like it's your business awesome. Tell you do that. The Sky is going to be the limit second. Thing I want to mention is I'm a little suspect of your best friend or adviser as you call them. You only WanNa work work with someone who has your best interest in mind. Here's the thing with a real friend. You are never gonNA lose out on some big relationship opportunity. Why because all they're going to want is the best for you. What's in your best interest. What you want in your heart. They're going to be happy for you even if it doesn't serve them now the final thing I want to highlight highlight which is the most important is this. You said my tendency however actually work in something that I really want to do. There's an old saying and it goes like like this and here's people rarely succeed at anything unless they they have fun doing it bottom line Patrick. If you enjoy media and video production do it for life and get paid for it. Go follow your dream but now trust me when I say it is possible to get paid for doing what you love. You'll never regret doing what your heart tells you to do. That's all I got for you Patrick. I hope you enjoy it this way to your now. If you've got insight to share about going for your dreams I want to hear about it in the comments

The far side of the moon receives the same amount of light as the nearside. Hey, you young whippersnappers. Get off my moon, fair enough, but from Wikipedia the phrase, dark side of the moon does not refer to dark as in the absence of light, but rather dark as an unknown until humans were able to send spacecraft around the moon. This area had never been seen. And the term also it's my bad. Because I miss read the quote it the quote was definitely thinks startling fleet will make. This radio frequency interference inescapable in suggests we should build a radio telescope on the far side of the moon shielded from the radio noise here on the planet. "With Sacramento city council was trying to do this vote on these the banning these items from these protests, and we're talking about that a little bit here. And if you have anything to say again feel free to give us a call at Greg in Rosental joins the show, Greg. Love the show. Thank you. I've been following this city council protests for a long time. And it goes all the way down. What what's really happening? It is. The police district attorney has decided not to press charges. So the back office meetings are. This this and this because you'll keep him out. Well, it's a mad. That's the way it is. The the finding of the community the the police, you know, what I'm saying? Yeah. I sure do. They're trying to make it safe for buddy. Because they know that there's gonna be a wall complaining going on here. Whenever the district cul says slow charges. I'm sorry. But this tragic at like that and I've been stopped. Protests on one time. I was going. Town. I really would like to see the police. Call testers and take care of business. Yeah. And you know, I mean, there was a thing with the kids fighting out an art mall last month or a couple of weeks back, and the mayor said, hey, you know, I'm sort of paraphrasing here, gray. But you know, you really don't it's it's not your right to bother other people. And it's too bad. You know, you can't have people bothering other people and. And I said at the time I wish you would have said that during those city council meetings when we saw what was happening and the place basically, get invaded by these guys who screamed and his face got up on the desk, and everything and it was just completely ridiculous. How some of these people were treated people are just going to a game downtown go one center. I had that problem to go into a game. Presents. What happens is? Like a bully punch bowling in the most of the. All. Yeah. Well, we're stuck in this, and Greg I appreciate the call and call me anytime kinda got about a phone call going connection going there, Greg, but please feel free to call us back in time. And I I certainly hear what you're saying. And it'd be stuck in that stuff. I mean, that's no joke. I mean because some of this was kind of violent protests that was going on at that time and to be stuck in. It can be kind of a frightening situation. Like, what are you supposed to do? But they're saying that some of these items are necessary for our safety from the threats of local white supremacists. Yeah. That's it. It's I'm sure it's all about the local white supremacists. I mean, there's there are a variety of organizations out there. Who can be very dangerous. Organization hosted a series of large protests after Clark's death. Of course, we all remember this gain, the national attention added to the national conversation about police treatment of African Americans. The protests cost the city about eight hundred grand. And that's partly because protesters use improvised weapons to damage city property. The American seek public affairs association. I mentioned them before also opposing the ordinance because it would prohibit people from wearing kirpan to protests, which are generally held with a strap underneath clothing. And so here is a list of the proposed banned items. Now, this is what I understand because this I read some of these I'm thinking, well, why would you be taking these to a protest to begin with? But as I understand it, and I could be wrong. But this is what I've understood is that some of the people are upset, but but even report they're saying, well, look, if if we can't bring some of these we're in fear of our lives. Well. Here other reports. Now, listen, we can understand some of this stuff being banned. However, what we can't bring a water bottle in. We can't have some of those kinds of things. In other words, some of the things ridiculous. According to certain people, these are things that should not perhaps be banned. So here's a list of the proposed banned items any length of lumber. Or would that is more than a quarter inch thick or more than two inches wide? Both ends must be blunt. So I guess what? I'm thinking about this. Why? Would you need? A piece of lumber. Or would that is more for in the first place for pretty much anything unless you have a needed crutch or you're holding a sign with a stick. Okay. I could see that. Otherwise, why would you need lumber? Or would at a protest any length of metal or plastic pipe hollow or solid unless it is used to hold a sign again. Same thing with the would there. In other words, why would you need? Why would anyone need a metal or plastic pipe and a pro desk pipes used old signs? They must be less than three quarters of inches thick no more than one eighth of an inch in the wall thickness, not filled with any material again, both ends must be blunt all baseball or softball bats of any size. This is interesting to me, perhaps someone can explain it to me. I don't get it. Oh, by the way, someone wants you to explain what size your scandal. I don't know what it is Kim mentioned a dressage earlier in the show Patrick rights. Please have explained with a dressage is I don't know if they allowed your Sasha's at the protests, though, I'm just saying. But I love this type of writing of horseback riding horseback riding. Yeah. So some people are like when I started training right over here. Calexico with Barbara worth. When I was six years old. I started off training as an English and English hunter jumper. So some people will ride western some people write English some people do dressage. It's just a form of training with the horse. Okay. Writing already know what it was either. So thank you. The for Patrick he asked but any so they want to ban any baseball or softball bat of any size. Again. Why would you be holding a baseball bat to go to a protest?.

"Amina see his foreign policy as being obviously about america first than that sometimes means being in contention or being against the policies that other even western democracies you know have have adopted for years and so i think when you see the comments from the australians maybe even from some european allies of the united states that is an effect his calculus or on the political debates that that he would need to change in for the republican party or for him to support a gun control laws counterpoint sure both australia and america were founded in large part by englishspeaking outlaws and contracts truth furniture patrick right you you always good for the kids who are committed to it it stood at that's why you're here third patrick rights i disagree with ally i don't think anything trump does is orchestrated good cop bad cop might be the end result but trump is nothing more than a loose cannon and mike in at tree arkansas emails my opinion is that trump's tweeting that tillerson is wasting his time in my view could be strategic to create doubt in north korea as to whether we will negotiate i know the press would be skeptical of this view ally what are you well i think this is less directed at north korea than it is directed at china and from the very beginning of the trump presidency when he has his meeting at mara lago with um you know over the most beautiful chocolate cake you've ever seen he said oh by the way i just want some missiles into syria what do you think about that.

"He could do that he baked or kk celebrating the marriage of two dogs health who is dogs i don't know i bet they were brother i bet if the whole thing was fact at brother and sister dogs shit like that you know what i mean he said they were going on retrievers i don't know what they were a prayer pride beagles so he has they're going to eagle owner move he said that he wouldn't make a cake for samesex couples wedding celebration just as he wouldn't be willing to make a pedophile cake we're not going to get it may exactly asking to do that the noone he's just as the the all he was doing was comparing gay marriage to patrick right here's riches like honey turned the flip the record on that that is there a come up with the a side exactly so here's what i want to say about this falls under religious freedom in that people feel like they are being persecuted against because they want to purse because they're not allowed to persecute i thought that they love money they feel that they want they want that money with they love hiding behind religion more because when the they believe they believe that this infringes on religious beliefs but what it really does is just protect the deeply held religious belief that it's okay to discriminate specifically against aljahbi tcu people that is all laws like this do it's just to protect them so that they can discriminate it really has nothing to do with religion it's pro discriminate discrimination masking itself is anti discrimination which is really the obnoxious part of it it's like for instance when i came out to my parents and they said we do it just as the it's not openminded review to say to you won't be with women.
